[0:11]all right mentioned on seven separate occasions respect goodness kindness towards the
[0:30]parents after the important duty of obedience and worship none other than
[0:41]Allah the next most important duty that he mentions to us isana
[0:51]is to show goodness and kindness towards one's parents he mentions the
[0:58]important between us and the relationship between us and Allah that direct
[1:05]relationship and the next most important duty that we all have is
[1:09]that relationship that we should have towards our parents and in two
[1:16]verses in particular Allah after reminding us of this kindness and goodness
[1:25]towards parents if the highlights of the two parents the roles and
[1:32]duties of the mother he States foreign that's in particular the great
[1:54]honorable status of the mother needs to be highlighted but also he
[2:01]reminds us that of the goodness and the son that we showed
[2:06]to both our parents remember your mother carried you when no one
[2:14]else carried your mother carried you and fed you from the warmth
[2:23]of her love from the nutrients and from the best care that
[2:28]could be given and she went through the pangs of difficulties Quran
[2:35]times of hardship and she gave birth to you as a newborn
[2:41]in this world again times of difficulty and hardship but out of
[2:51]love and care for the newborn she went through all the difficulties
[2:56]out of love for Allah and a love for that newborn baby
[3:02]but it did not stop there she continued to show her care
[3:08]and love she continued to feed you those early years the infancy
[3:15]is the mother feeds and gives the best of nutrients best of
[3:24]proteins antibodies and everything to take care and the feeding of that
[3:30]newborn baby and in fact you find that the ahadith mentioned the
[3:34]importance and the status of the mother and the Quran Allah reminds
[3:42]us of the love towards the mother the instrumental role that the
[3:51]mother has in the upbringing of the child the instrumental role the
[3:57]mother has during those nine months of pregnancy that she goes through
[4:04]difficulty sacrificing food drinks and other things medication even knowing what food
[4:12]and drink is good for the child she would take it for
[4:17]the fetus she'll take it food or drinks or anything that may
[4:25]be harmful to the fetus she will avoid even if it means
[4:28]that she would go through more difficulties if she's going through some
[4:36]illness during the moment of her pregnancy and the doctors say you
[4:39]can't take this medication why can I not I've usually taken him
[4:42]I've taken it before they would say because it will be harmful
[4:45]towards thee the fetus would the mother take it no out of
[4:52]love for that fetus out of love for that baby out of
[4:58]love for the one that is growing within her she provides the
[5:02]best of support the best of care even her surroundings she tries
[5:11]her best to give it the best of surroundings energy sleepless nights
[5:18]moments of difficulty and hardship but she knows it will be the
[5:24]best for the care and love that she has for the newborn
[5:27]for her son for her daughter in fact many times parents may
[5:37]think or may consider that when it comes to that newborn baby
[5:41]the father the mother we both have a role in the newborn
[5:45]baby of course both have a role but the role of the
[5:50]mother has been highlighted in the Hadith the role of the mother
[5:55]and the rewards of the mother has been mentioned many times sometimes
[5:59]people may say yes not process the biological process of a baby
[6:08]of the fertilization it was one cell from the male and oneself
[6:14]from the female so we should be rewarded 50 50 50 we
[6:21]are both involved in the Fertilization in the process in the fetus
[6:29]in the growth well in fact scientists say that maybe you may
[6:35]think that is oneself from one to another but the mothers role
[6:40]in the protoplasms in the nutrients in the growth and the additional
[6:48]requirements the essential requirements that are needed for the growth of the
[6:56]fetus shows that there is more share that the female and the
[6:59]mother has in what in the growth of that fetus parents went
[7:06]to a court case regards to the custody of a child father
[7:13]and the mother and they said that this baby of us once
[7:18]said I need this is my child and it's for me I
[7:23]should keep it and the other said no it's mine I should
[7:25]keep it so the judge said to the father why do you
[7:31]think that you should have it he said well I was the
[7:35]one that brought it to existence I was the one who was
[7:38]the origin and I release it to this world and started to
[7:44]say the biological process that look I am the one who should
[7:47]have the custody of the child the mother was very smart in
[7:55]her response she said You released it after a few seconds of
[7:59]production I kept it within me after nine months and released it
[8:04]in this world You released it whilst it was a few the
[8:09]weight of it the mass was it was a few I kept
[8:13]it when it was kilograms and kilograms and heavy within my womb
[8:18]you release it out of your pleasure and desires out of your
[8:26]shower I release it in this world out of my love and
[8:29]care for the baby and newborn in the sense that the mother's
[8:37]care for the newborn the mother's care for the child has been
[8:41]mentioned so many times in the Hadith in the verses of the
[8:44]Quran that's when akman came to the holy prophet said ya rasulullah
[8:50]who shall be extra kind and caring towards and the holy brother
[8:58]wanted to rank and state the highlands highlight the status of the
[9:03]mother he said um and after who he said um your mother
[9:11]he said then after who he said um three occasions then who
[9:14]then he said yo your father also kindness and goodness towards the
[9:20]father on another occasion the man came he said ya rasulullah what
[9:24]are the rights of my father and what are the rights of
[9:29]my mother the heart the duty and care towards the mother and
[9:34]the care towards my father he said your father must be obeyed
[9:41]throughout your life you must obey and be good and kind towards
[9:44]your father he said what about my mother he said your mother
[9:49]he said if all of these single particles of sand in the
[9:59]desert and all of the drops of rain that have been blessed
[10:02]in this earth if you are to try to collect them and
[10:06]count them you'll never be able to repay a single day that
[10:13]she carried you within her womb you'll never be able to repay
[10:17]that goodness and exam that your mother had towards you that's why
[10:24]a man he carried his mother on his shoulders carried her towards
[10:28]the holy city of Makkah and performed the tawaf around the holy
[10:33]Kaaba and then asked Imam and asked foreign between a son between
[10:47]a daughter between a child and their mother some people the mother
[10:53]asked them can you go to the grocery down the road he
[10:55]makes excuses can you do this today can you do all the
[10:59]excuses and then when he does the good work and exercise says
[11:01]look mom I've done this good work for you as if he's
[11:06]done a great favor the man carried his mother one round performed
[11:12]the response came not to one moment of painful contraction that she
[11:23]went through that she gave birth to you will never be able
[11:31]to return the love and care that our mother has given towards
[11:34]us that's why on these nights on these days we need to
[11:42]honor and always honor our parents show love and care and these
[11:44]nights some days when we remember the mother of the um we
[11:51]need to remember the rights of a mother the love of the
[11:59]mother the care towards the mother how much highlight the importance of
[12:06]love and care towards the mother and sometimes we are sidetracked sidetracked
[12:15]in what sense that those people who try to say look you
[12:20]don't need to show care towards your mother you don't need to
[12:23]love your father stop loving your mother stop loving your father as
[12:27]if that love of the mother and father is something that is
[12:33]conditional no the love of the mother the love of the father
[12:36]towards their son and daughter is unconditional out of love towards their
[12:41]son out of love towards their daughter they'll give everything to provide
[12:47]the best I read the recently and it was something that I
[12:50]really wanted to share in various versions the story you may have
[12:56]heard a young man recently married whenever he would go towards his
[13:04]wife's house and see the Mother-in-law he would notice the mother-in-law has
[13:08]so much love towards her daughter his wife and every few weeks
[13:14]you'd see that the mother would would overflow with showing her love
[13:20]and care towards her daughter this is natural the cared the love
[13:24]the expression and this husband thought what's going on why is she
[13:32]loving my wife so much and I want to exchange this love
[13:35]and try to remove the love the mother has towards the daughter
[13:41]and I want her to only love me my wife to only
[13:43]love me not to love her mother and stop loving her mother
[13:48]stop caring for her mother and this sometimes you find these kind
[13:52]of attitudes sometimes are praying into some of our communities we need
[13:59]to be careful the love of the mother the love of the
[14:03]father is something that has no bounds unconditional show the care show
[14:08]the love so this young man he went to the local pharmacy
[14:13]and he said look I've got a favor you know I have
[14:20]a mother-in-law she loves her daughter so much I don't want you
[14:24]to give me something maybe I can add it in her food
[14:27]that would reduce the love that she has towards the ear daughter
[14:34]he said let me think about it for a moment he went
[14:38]he came back he said I've got something it's like a poison
[14:41]you can add it into the herbs and the spices and every
[14:46]day you add it and you'll see some change in the behavior
[14:49]but there are some conditions he said sure what are the conditions
[14:54]he said first condition you don't put the full dose into the
[15:00]meal because they'll be suspicious they'll realize you've given her something second
[15:04]condition is you during this time show the best of you don't
[15:14]lose your temper you be good towards her you be kind towards
[15:18]her you be patient towards her you be persevering you show all
[15:25]of the goodness towards her so sure that's a deal he took
[15:31]the bottle and slowly slowly every few days you'll put something through
[15:36]the meal of hers some added spices and after some weeks him
[15:43]being good towards her he noticed that she was in her she
[15:49]was always very good and he was still being good and he
[15:52]would add a bit more he would see that her response was
[15:56]great and she would show the great nobility and great humor and
[15:59]he would also you'll be patient any moment that there would be
[16:01]if you he'll be patient and say it maybe she'll get ill
[16:05]in a few days maybe she'll leave this world and he would
[16:09]see but after some time he would notice that no even though
[16:12]he was still really good and showing goodness she would overflow in
[16:16]her goodness she would show her smiles she would always be that
[16:21]good natured that she had towards the daughter was the son-in-law he
[16:26]went back to the Pharmacy or to the shop that he went
[16:30]to he said oh man can I ask you not to give
[16:36]me any more doses that you were refitting in this bottle he
[16:39]said why he said I'm worried that you gave me this and
[16:44]it will make her ill and she may pass away because in
[16:49]the last few months has been amazing towards me she's been really
[16:54]kind she's been really caring she's been really sweet I don't know
[16:57]it may be something in this in this bottle that you've given
[17:01]me that's changed her attitude and she's become a really amazing lady
[17:06]he said no what I gave you was no poison what I
[17:10]gave you was not what you thought I actually gave you some
[17:17]vitamins within this but what changed was your attitude towards her what
[17:22]changed was your attitude towards her and you saw the beauty and
[17:31]her in her love and her care towards you and this is
[17:33]what we need to always be that we need to always be
[17:39]the best one always caring always reciprocating the love that's why you
[17:46]find the teachings of the Muslim would state that Allah foreign is
[17:57]pleased with the one who pleases their parents and Allah is full
[18:04]of anger and wrath displeased with the one who displeases their parents
[18:10]in fact we have a narration that states [Music] being good towards
[18:19]one parents it's great and to be kind and good towards your
[18:32]parents a man came to the holy prophet he said ya rasulullah
[18:38]I wish to come in those Journeys that you are there I
[18:43]wish to come with you but I have an elderly mother I
[18:48]need to stay with her I need to feed her I need
[18:52]to take care of her she is feeble and weak and sometimes
[18:57]I need to even carry her the holy prophet said staying beside
[19:02]your mother has more thawab than the front lines in the army
[19:08]of those who wish to be with rasulullah in the Jihad that
[19:13]the sawab that you being beside her is even greater and we've
[19:17]all heard of the story of Oasis who wish to see rasulullah
[19:22]he was from Yemen but his mother was asking him to stay
[19:28]and requested for him to stay beside him until she gave him
[19:35]that permission for one day he went and couldn't see rasulullah rasulullah
[19:39]was outside the town he thought to himself should I continue to
[19:43]obey my mother who says stay for one day and come back
[19:48]or should I stay I yearn for rasulullah he returned because he
[19:52]knew of the promise that he gave to his mother he returned
[19:55]and the holy prophet would respond that there is that fragrance of
[20:00]Jannah from the one who came from Karan from weisel the fragrance
[20:07]of Jannah that love that a mother has towards their son that's
[20:12]love that the mother has towards their daughter that's all they want
[20:18]is the best towards their daughter they want their best of care
[20:22]towards their beloved ones that's why we need to be careful of
[20:29]the shameful Behavior of the disappointing behavior of Disturbing Behavior that sometimes
[20:37]we see outside that they recommend for example that one should what
[20:44]have no care anymore or forget about your parents neglect them once
[20:50]in a while think about them no Islam constantly reminds us the
[20:55]importance of praying for your parents praying for your parents in your
[21:02]duas constantly Wally Day always ask Allah those who are alive amongst
[21:11]them amongst us to pray for them and try our best to
[21:13]serve them show our goodness and kindness towards them those who have
[21:19]passed away may Allah bless them and constantly ask Allah foreign brothers
[21:42]and sisters may have remembered of this nice moral anecdote a young
[21:54]boy has so many lessons in this it was unfortunately ashamed of
[21:59]his mother wherever his mother would follow him he would put his
[22:06]head down and discuss something why is my mother with me why
[22:09]is she coming to the Palm why is she coming to the
[22:13]ceremonies with me why is she coming to school pick me up
[22:15]his mother had one eye one eye and the other she was
[22:24]blinded he couldn't see she had one eye but whenever the sun
[22:30]would be disrespectful she would continue to be full of kindness and
[22:34]care towards the Sun he grew he got married he left the
[22:42]city that his mother was after some years the mother came to
[22:50]knock on his door and asked to see his son his beloved
[22:58]one as soon as he opened the door to see it was
[23:01]his mother he slammed the door and said it seems you've got
[23:07]the wrong address she left she returned home after some time he
[23:17]received a letter it is his graduation reunion ceremony he thought let
[23:23]me go to the graduation reunion he looked into the party in
[23:30]in the graduation he noticed his mother was not there he felt
[23:34]happy she's not going to embarrass me she's not going to be
[23:38]full of disappointment I'm going to be happy now my mother's not
[23:41]here every day she used to come to this school every day
[23:45]she used to come to the college and I felt embarrassed from
[23:47]her after the graduation ceremony he went to his home his old
[23:59]home to think and remind himself of his childhood he opened the
[24:06]door he saw his mother had collapsed on the floor and there
[24:10]was a letter in her hands my dear son for years and
[24:19]years and years I saw you growing the light of my eyes
[24:24]my Noor of my eyes my delight and you are ashamed for
[24:30]me you embarrassed from me let me tell you my beloved Son
[24:35]when you are born you had the problem with your eyes so
[24:43]I sacrificed my eyes and gifted it to you a surgery took
[24:45]place and the eye that I had was transplanted and given to
[24:55]you I sacrificed my eye my eyesight for you to have a
[25:00]future full of eyesight foresight Insight in this world and he fell
[25:08]down ashamed of his past ashamed of his disgusting manners and disturbing
[25:14]manners we need to remind ourselves brothers and sisters the care and
[25:21]love towards our mother the care and love that towards their mother
[25:28]the care and love that our holy prophet Muhammad who was an
[25:41]orphan the care that he had towards his mother a love that
[25:47]he had towards his mother Amina Amina the care and love foreign
[26:13]were full of love and honor towards their mother towards their parents
[26:21]On A Night Like This days like these where we remember the
[26:27]the year of rasulullah when we remember rasulullah the love that he
[26:36]had towards Salaam who gave away her wealth for Islam who gave
[26:45]away everything that she had for rasulullah her beloved husband everything that
[26:53]I have is for your path for the path of Allah she
[27:01]was the first to embrace Islam and give her support not only
[27:05]her moral support not only her material support but everything within her
[27:12]for the sake of Islam for the sake of Allah a true
[27:20]Blessed Mother nights like these rasulullah and passed away and he had
[27:30]to place her within her cobra say the Khadijah had given everything
[27:34]away that even a caffeine of her own rasulullah asks Allah that
[27:43]say the Khadijah has given everything from Herman from her wealth away
[27:48]that even a Kevin of hers she had no foreign and condolences
[28:06]a Heavenly Kevin to shroud the say the Khadija Allah say the
[28:16]Khadijah was buried in the city of Mecca rasulullah and the remembers
[28:24]of the family of rasulullah of say the Khadija beside her mourning
[28:29]and grieving on the 10th of the holy month of Ramadan foreign
