[0:05]alhamd muham AB hinin [Music] for the purification of the souls and
[2:29]the enlighten of the hearts and for the hastening of the reappearance
[2:34]of the awaited Savior Enlighten your souls and the atmosphere with the
[2:41]recitation of salawat upon muhammedi Muhammad respected Elders brothers and sisters it's
[2:56]a comprehensive book which does not miss anything it speaks to the
[3:04]human being and the human being reads it it is authentic truthful
[3:09]and one that does not ever utter any false or Injustice it
[3:15]is one that is given to every single human being on the
[3:22]day of judgment the book of Deeds is considered to be an
[3:26]important station on the day of Resurrection youah told told from one
[3:31]station to another there is a purpose that the almighty subhanahu wa
[3:37]ta'ala wants human beings to understand and that is that they are
[3:42]increasing in their level of understanding there is a process of purification
[3:47]that is happening from one position one stage to another on that
[3:53]day after the witnesses stand to give their testimonies we are told
[3:57]they do not do so because God forbid the almighty subhana wa
[4:03]taala is not sufficient as a witness but rather human beings themselves
[4:10]are sometimes people who deny who object who do not wish to
[4:14]necessarily accept the truth and therefore Allah subhana wa tala out of
[4:18]his Mercy places these Witnesses in order for them to inform the
[4:24]human being about their particular actions we are told that when you
[4:29]and I go through we have with us our own copy of
[4:35]the book of Deeds yet on the day of judgment there is
[4:38]another copy that somehow is placed in different areas depending upon the
[4:44]actions of the human being Allah subhana wa tala says as far
[4:50]as the righteous are concerned their book of Deeds which is a
[4:55]special a version because we have a version this version it's in
[5:01]a place called Allah says whereas the book of Deeds of the
[5:10]non-believers or The Wretched is placed in a area known as s
[5:17]yes this is found in chapter 83 verse number 7 now what
[5:20]happens is that that book of Deeds somehow is then attached to
[5:26]the neck of the human being that neck shall carry that book
[5:36]of Deeds thereafter it will land either on their right hand or
[5:40]on their left hand the Quran tells us if it lands on
[5:46]the right then you are of the people of Jenna or at
[5:49]least you are on the path towards Jenna eventually we'll get there
[5:54]but if it lands on the left then what there is damnation
[5:57]people ask is this something against left-handed people in other words if
[6:03]you're not right-handed is this a disadvantage not at all in the
[6:11]Arabic language y means something which is good in other words Allah
[6:15]subhana wa tala it may be even metaphorical so to speak although
[6:18]some of the MU say no that what are the people who
[6:24]given their book of Deeds on the right hand and therefore what
[6:27]do they do they emerge and they continue now then the area
[6:32]to understand here is what can we do to make the revelation
[6:37]of the book of Deeds something which helps us or at least
[6:42]improve our situation when the book of Deeds this book which is
[6:45]comprehensive the Quran says it will speak it will not only speak
[6:50]you and I will be able to read it it is does
[6:53]not have a particular language Allah says in the Quran it is
[7:00]sufficient that you yourself will condemn yourself or congratulate yourself because you
[7:05]will be able to see now the book of deeds will not
[7:07]necessarily have the somehow some introductions or things that you and I
[7:12]read but it becomes manifested before us you and I will be
[7:17]able to see our Deeds this is known as the manifestation of
[7:23]Deeds before the human being as we said there are dual existence
[7:26]for Every Act of deed now what is it that we can
[7:31]do to help ourselves our holy beloved prophet in a famous narration
[7:48]says he says mercy and blessings be upon the one whom on
[7:53]the day of judgment when their book of Deeds open next to
[7:59]every sin they see an entry meaning that you and I practicing
[8:04]continuous seeking forgiveness from Allah the moment we commit the sin is
[8:09]of the utmost importance because we are told the almighty subhana wa
[8:13]tala makes the Angels forget for a period of time lest we
[8:16]turn to him and indeed seek forgiveness from our sins and no
[8:20]doubt the month of muharam and the commemoration of theah is a
[8:24]wonderful opportunity for you and I to return back to Allah and
[8:28]ask for forgiveness inspired by the people like isn't it that when
[8:32]Al spent his life in Disobedience yet towards the end of his
[8:36]life he chose the right path until today hundreds of millions in
[8:42]fact billions send their salutations upon Him is a crucial inspirational lesson
[8:47]for you and I that we should never think that my sins
[8:50]are too big we should never give up that the opportunity and
[8:55]the doors of forgiveness andar are surely open for you and I
[8:59]especially in these 10 10 days or 10 nights in which we
[9:03]remember the Eternal sacrifice of the grandson of the holy prophet we
[9:07]are told that after the book of Deeds this or when it
[9:16]happens the next area is what is Alan the scale how many
[9:21]of us have thought in our lives there will be a huge
[9:24]weighing scale that the good deeds will be placed on one side
[9:30]and the bad on the other yes many times when we imagine
[9:32]the Misan that the Quran speaks about we think of a physical
[9:37]scale no we are told today if I want to measure weight
[9:39]I use this particular scale but if I want to measure time
[9:45]for example yes or if I want to measure speed there are
[9:47]different methods of measurement likewise this mean on the day of judgment
[9:52]is not something which you and I can necessarily imagine to be
[9:58]an instrument but rather the comp forward and say that their actions
[10:04]will be weighed somehow in a particular way in relation to Justice
[10:08]and Truth what does this mean please pay attention Justice and Truth
[10:13]here is the barometer by which our deeds will be weighed against
[10:20]in a particular way how we are told that the closer to
[10:23]the truth and Justice our Deeds are the heavier our Good Deeds
[10:28]become who demonstrates the justice and the H as far as the
[10:37]Misan is concerned how is it that our Deeds are measured against
[10:40]truth and Justice yes and we are told the greatest manifestation of
[10:48]the truth and Justice are the prophets and the yes and that's
[10:51]why we see a narration with regard or the supplication when we
[10:57]address we said to peace be upon the one who is what
[11:17]who is the manifestation of Iman and the Misan the scale of
[11:25]Deeds the closer you and I are to the the more heavy
[11:29]our good deeds will become please understand this because people say why
[11:33]is it that we have this unbelievably important emphasis upon following in
[11:38]the footsteps of the one crucial matter is this that if my
[11:45]Salah is close to the Salah of or if my charity is
[11:47]like that of IM alassan and if my forbearance is like that
[11:52]of Imam and if my guidance towards of others is like IM
[11:55]and if my courage is like that of that my scale of
[12:01]Good Deeds is heavy that is of great importance and it puts
[12:05]into perspective our relationship with whom with the peace and blessings be
[12:10]upon them now you ask what else can we do to make
[12:15]that station a bit easier better for us one narration says to
[12:21]demonstrate and exhibit good mannerism and ethical traits helps as far as
[12:26]the Misan the station of the Misan is concerned another narration from
[12:31]the holy beloved Prophet states that I will stand next to the
[12:38]Misan and what would I do I will what I will place
[12:39]more emphasis on the Good Deeds if people have recited salawat upon
[12:52]me this salaat is phenomenal as far as its benefits in D
[12:59]and is concerned because may Allah bless the soul of in his
[13:02]book he narrates that when the prophet of Islam went to the
[13:07]he saw an angel he'd never seen before an angel with 1,000
[13:11]hands and 1,000 fingers counting and he asked the angel what is
[13:14]your role the angel said Yool Allah I count the number of
[13:19]grains of Sands in the deserts I count the number of drops
[13:21]of water in the sea yet there is one thing Yol Allah
[13:25]I am unable to count and that is when a group of
[13:32]your followers recite salawat upon you and your family amongst this there
[13:44]are countless narrations that a particular Z will enhance our position when
[13:49]it comes to the Misan and that is the Zar of our
[13:52]holy eth Imam IM says whomsoever visits me in D I will
[14:05]visit them when it comes to the distribution of the book of
[14:12]deeds and the Misan and theab which is the next position yes
[14:15]that's why I recall reading that a current living He says yes
[14:24]he says that what there was a great scholar by the name
[14:29]of shikh gbani he used to live in qu in m one
[14:31]day he was diagnosed with what a particular Legion in his body
[14:35]which was very dangerous rushed towards the hospital it is said that
[14:39]on the way to hospital he passed and he looked towards the
[14:41]Blessed Dome of the Shrine of the eighth holy Imam and said
[14:46]to him I'm the one who is one of the first to
[14:48]enter your Shrine in the morning back in the time it was
[14:52]sealed and they open it up you know I leave my Affairs
[14:55]in the hands of Allah through your intercession he says when I
[14:58]was taken to the hospital this particular scholar says what happened he
[15:02]saw he fell asleep he saw he said in a beautiful garden
[15:07]the Imam approaching me and giving me a flower and said place
[15:11]this flower upon what your body he says when I woke up
[15:15]the doctors came they said we are not able to see anything
[15:17]wrong with your body yes the idea that emerges is there are
[15:21]so many benefits in the Zara in the visitation of our holy
[15:26]eighth Imam moving on the next position is what the next position
[15:29]is with regards to what is known as or yes this is
[15:36]accountability now people are begging from the for for the Forgiveness of
[15:41]Allah subhana wa taala they're beseeching Allah for forgiveness these groups of
[15:47]people some of them will have some small sins and we are
[15:52]told Allah subhah wa tala in the Quran does a form of
[15:56]what is known as means what he will if they are small
[16:00]sins because of his Mercy because of his uh and forgiveness he
[16:06]will forgive them yes because majority of their deeds is good yet
[16:09]those according to the six Imam who are what who are wretched
[16:17]Sinners every single deed shall be scrutinized and they will have to
[16:20]what they will have to face Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala and be held
[16:24]accountable for it that is why it is known as the most
[16:32]indepth and strongest of scrutinization and accountability that they will be subjected
[16:41]towards the holy beloved prophet muham he says that if you want
[16:54]theab to be light if you want to be held accountable not
[16:58]for the smallest sin then you must do a number of things
[17:01]hence the emphasis on practical tips that we can take away and
[17:07]Implement in our lives he says in a narration if you have
[17:15]these three traits Allah subhana wa taala will make the the accountability
[17:18]something easy and quick for you because we are told every station
[17:23]yes it may take a long time depending upon your deeds in
[17:29]D but Allah subhana wa tala by his wisdom and greatness he
[17:32]will make it fast if these particular conditions are fulfilled number one
[17:38]you give that individual who does not give you in other words
[17:45]you do not treat people the way they treat you yes you
[17:47]treat them better than the way you are treated likewise he says
[17:53]you visit and you connect with those who have severed their relationship
[17:58]with you this month of mam these yes if you and I
[18:05]have severed our relationship with a family member or a friend or
[18:08]someone that we know these are the moments to break the ego
[18:14]and shatter the idol that's existing within us and to say you
[18:17]know what I want that day to go smoothly for me it's
[18:22]painful it's difficult but I'll pick up the phone or I'll send
[18:25]that message and say you know what it's not worth it for
[18:29]the sake of Hussein let get back together yes let's establish that
[18:33]Brotherhood that Sisterhood that love that Bond yes it is sading sometimes
[18:37]to see people over the smallest issues over some for example business
[18:42]or money or small disagreements yes they sever their relationship years they
[18:47]do not speak with each other says is better than Salah and
[18:54]which is must meaning what this creation of harmonious relationship in Society
[19:00]is of the utmost importance because a society that is divided and
[19:04]people do not communicate with each other and show animosity and Discord
[19:07]is not a successful Community or Society therefore the prophet of Islam
[19:12]says so three things you give that individual who does not you
[19:19]go and restore relations and you forgive those who have oppressed you
[19:23]those are difficult no doubt no one's undermining or saying these are
[19:28]easy matters but they need need a strong willpower and no doubt
[19:31]commitment in that stage we are told there are people who be
[19:39]petrified because they thought things are okay they thought they have a
[19:42]lot of good deeds the prophet of Islam once with the companion
[19:44]and said to them do you know who's the bankrupt on the
[19:48]day of judgment they said y Allah normally the bankrupt is the
[19:50]one whose wealth is gone is finished but what happens on the
[19:55]day of judgment he says the bankrupt on the day of judgment
[19:58]is the one who has a lot of good deeds but people
[20:01]will come and say he or she spoke ill of me he
[20:04]or she took my rights he or she distorted my reputation therefore
[20:07]their good deeds will go and be taken away from them and
[20:13]that individual will receive the bad Deeds from that individ human being
[20:17]yes this is a frightening element that people sometimes say things and
[20:23]mention things and talk about other people whereas what the right of
[20:27]human Allah subhana tala will forgive his but what about the rights
[20:32]of human beings continuously sometimes when we ask and we speak to
[20:35]our friends our brothers and sisters family ask them for pardon because
[20:38]sometimes you and I may not know we may have said something
[20:42]that have hurt them on the day of judgment they will not
[20:44]forgive you trust me yes unless they are of the people of
[20:48]being raised in high stations because they want as much as possible
[20:54]the greatest manifestation of melness and stinginess will happen on the day
[20:58]of judgment the Quran tells us the prophet of Islam would say
[21:00]on the day of judgment everyone says me me me and I
[21:06]will shout my um and I will want the benefit and the
[21:08]best for my community my um but everybody feels the need to
[21:16]somehow attain salvation themselves now the next area of great importance here
[21:23]is what is with regards to the notion of aat of a
[21:29]bridge yes we are told this bridge is of two kinds please
[21:34]understand because many times we think it's a bridge physical Bridge yes
[21:38]but we are told in the Quran that there are two Bridges
[21:42]one Bridge takes you straight to jahanam and one Bridge goes to
[21:48]Jenna which goes over hell which somehow travels or is above hell
[21:55]so to speak in the way that we understand or in the
[22:01]mannerism that we can comprehend what do we understand by this bridge
[22:05]remember every station in the day on the day of judgment is
[22:10]there to serve to filter and purify the human being to make
[22:13]them purer and purer in order to enter J all the impurities
[22:20]must be removed impurities here reference to spiritual impurities yes therefore the
[22:24]journey towards jna over this will some somehow be related to the
[22:32]sins that the human beings may carry number one number two the
[22:36]narrations tell us the closer a human being is to this which
[22:44]is upright and straight the better their Journey on the bridge is
[22:48]on the day of judgment and their Journey over the on the
[22:55]bridge depends upon what depends upon this beautiful concept of light in
[23:00]the Holy Quran please understand this the yes we are told thisat
[23:04]this journey involves a number of pitfalls Cliffs yes difficulties now the
[23:16]first difficulty is that it is completely pitch dark human beings will
[23:21]not be able to see where they're going except if you have
[23:24]no except if you have light and the light you have can
[23:29]only be is sufficient or useful for you not for anyone else
[23:34]so anyone else who's on this bridge will not be able to
[23:38]utilize your own light this light is given by Allah subhanahu wa
[23:41]ta'ala this light is from dun Allah subhah wa says chapter 57:2
[23:51]he says on that day you'll see the believing men and women
[23:54]they will have their light which goes right right in front of
[23:59]them now there are others who will beseech them who will say
[24:01]give us some of your light and the response in the Quran
[24:06]would be that the people with light will say to them go
[24:08]back to Dunya if only you can and take light from there
[24:13]because that is the only source of this new that Allah subhanahu
[24:15]wa'ta'ala gives we are told in the Holy Quran this new is
[24:21]only from the almighty subhanahu wa ta'ala it's a powerful illuminative source
[24:28]of guidance the closer to Allah we are the pure our hearts
[24:32]the more no we will have on the day of judgment yes
[24:36]that is why we are told that there are acts that you
[24:42]and I can do Deeds that will intensify and increase the likeliness
[24:46]of us obtaining more light more n one is knowledge because the
[24:51]narration of the says knowledge is light Allah places it in the
[25:00]heart of whom soever he wishes number one number two the prayers
[25:05]of the night the narrations tell us it illuminates the heart it
[25:10]illuminates the grave it illuminates the path yes how the author of
[25:17]Al he says when I was studying in I have a teacher
[25:21]say I went to him when I was a student I said
[25:25]to him say can you teach me an act that will give
[25:30]give me and success in he said he looked at me and
[25:34]says perform he says very well then I asked him teach me
[25:41]something that will give me success in he says this great Mystic
[25:45]looks at him and says You must perform he saids then I
[25:52]recognize the position of that indeed narrates that the prophet of Islam
[25:57]would say three times perform Sal perform Sal perform Sal the power
[26:05]of it is to the extent that the ladies of on that
[26:07]most difficult of night would sit and perform yes does not not
[26:17]send a message and what about the night of ashur that night
[26:21]of and the remembrance of Allah they are told that IM tells
[26:27]AB go and tell them that I wish to spend the night
[26:31]in the recitation of the Quran and the performance of Sal he
[26:35]says give us respite till the morning so that we perform this
[26:38]remembrance of Allah which is phenomenal as far as its rewards and
[26:45]its impact in Dy you want more perform yes you want more
[26:48]perform and it is one that should be done on a continuous
[26:55]basis not only in a specific period of time now in this
[26:58]there are what people with light those who do not have light
[27:04]or see that there is light but they cannot obtain it they
[27:07]will say why don't you give us some light and those who
[27:12]have light because of their merciful nature they wish to do so
[27:14]but the Quran says there will be a veil between them a
[27:19]veil will be placed in this s in this bridge therefore there
[27:22]are individuals who struggle and in this struggle what do they want
[27:27]in this particular Journey they require help and assistance and that help
[27:33]and assistance comes in the form of intercession yes over 30 places
[27:40]in the Quran Allah subhana wa tala says there will be intercession
[27:43]there will be sh yet I tell you the understanding of sha
[27:46]leaves a lot to be desired by many people there's an Iranian
[27:50]poet ha his name is he used to go around in the
[27:52]streets and he used to recite poetry and says if you love
[27:57]then don't worry sin as much as you like he saw in
[28:05]his dream says to him no go to tell people if you
[28:08]love then you must be ashamed and embarrassed therefore sin very little
[28:14]because people sometimes have this notion perception just because they are followers
[28:19]of that this will be of assistance to them whereas our holy
[28:25]six IM IM [Music] remember how in the final moments of his
[28:35]life he would say whomsoever takes their prayers lightly will not attain
[28:43]our intercession meaning what meaning intercession there is one thing to understand
[28:47]in theat the bridge or whatever the path that takes you to
[28:50]Janam God forbid there is no intercession intercession has its terms and
[28:53]conditions it is for those who are striving who are continuously struggling
[28:57]but sometimes they fall yes not deliberately ignoring and taking their religious
[29:03]duties for granted and what somehow having his false sense of immunity
[29:08]and security rather Allah subh says it is the almighty who gives
[29:15]permission and he when he gives permission for sha for intercession he
[29:19]knows these individuals will intercede for people who deserve intercession and those
[29:24]who deserve intercession are those who try their best to continue on
[29:30]the path of righteousness virtue to do good deeds sometimes they slipped
[29:34]up and we all need what we all need we all need
[29:36]the mercy of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala not those who take their
[29:43]prayers and actions and deeds andat lightly now we are told in
[29:47]this s there are stations the first station according to the rat
[29:51]is what is Sal doesn't the holy prophet of Islam say Salah
[30:01]is the pillar of religion if it's accepted everything else is accepted
[30:06]and if it doesn't then God forbid then everything else is rejected
[30:10]therefore we are told that if we are not able to pass
[30:11]this station and sometimes people stay in that station for thousands of
[30:17]years you know why because they need filteration they need purification because
[30:20]they took their prayers lightly yes we are told that and they
[30:25]will fall into Janam and God forbid they will be punished for
[30:28]the number of years in order for their souls to be purified
[30:31]from the evil that they carry due to the neglect for example
[30:36]of prayers an important station my dear brothers and sisters in the
[30:41]is the of Muhammad [Music] Muhammad this particular is of the utmost
[30:55]importance because once was speaking to our holy fourth IM and he
[31:05]says to him what is the importance of the of the can
[31:09]you tell me this narration is found in many of our books
[31:16]of Hadith have this and there are tens of other Hadi which
[31:19]support this in case some people have a question mark over it
[31:23]it is fairly authentic and established But please understand this Hadith very
[31:28]carefully Imam says say what is the position of will or Abu
[31:32]Hamza asked Imam says where is the holiest place on Earth AB
[31:38]Hamza says I don't know IM says between theim and the yes
[31:44]that is the Most Blessed place of the Holy Kaa yes we
[31:48]are told the 12th holy Imam when he would reappear he would
[31:51]stand there between IIM and the black stone then the IM would
[31:57]say if an individual lives the life of new at least 950
[32:03]definitely more spent the day in fasting and the night in Salah
[32:09]in that place and comes to Allah on the day of judgment
[32:13]without the of Ali muhamad not a single deed will be accepted
[32:19]some people say how can this be rally understood I tell you
[32:27]that it's very quranic supported number one chapter 5 vers number three
[32:34]the completion of religion and the Perfection of favors happened where 18th
[32:37]of 10 after the day of that the religion without is incomplete
[32:42]Allah wants a religion which is complete once theal which are complete
[32:47]number one number two I tell you when it comes to the
[32:51]10th of muharam people might say oh but you know if yes
[32:53]if the will had not reached the people then that's something else
[32:58]if they had not heard about the and the importance of following
[33:00]theit that's something else or they have not been exposed about it
[33:03]then Allah subhana will judge them and it is not for us
[33:07]to judge yet if it is presented by them yet they reject
[33:08]it that's the difficult part isn't it on the 10th of muharam
[33:13]there were 30,000 who possibly some of them performing Salah and there
[33:17]was the campsite of the grandson of the holy prophet don't tell
[33:20]me both their Salah is accepted no doubt one side their Salah
[33:25]is accepted and the other isn't but hold on a minute it's
[33:28]he's a Muslim when there is no will we have scums like
[33:33]Abu Bakr badi and others yes head of D and Isis when
[33:37]there is no correct will these kind of people like Ben Abbas
[33:40]and Bena come out yes when there is no true followers following
[33:46]of the this is the result and that's why you find the
[33:48]Salah is accepted from the individuals who have recognized the true leaders
[33:52]that take them towards Jenna take them towards salvation that's why I
[33:56]remember when I present Ed this once in a university in UK
[34:01]in London somebody came to me he said brother I think you
[34:03]know that doesn't make much sense towards me you know I this
[34:08]idea that you must have will in order for the acceptance of
[34:10]your Deeds I said to him you know if you go to
[34:14]a particular country and you have your passport and you need a
[34:17]visa to enter that country but you go without a Visa you
[34:21]go to the passport control and they ask you they say to
[34:23]where's your passport you give them the passport they look at it
[34:25]there's no Visa they say excuse me where is your Visa he
[34:28]says come on surely you should let me through what is this
[34:31]harshness of stipulating that I must have a Visa they laugh at
[34:36]you and say excuse me go back to where you came from
[34:37]you need the Visa yes I looked at him and says the
[34:41]Visa my Visa to J [Applause] [Music] is indeed this is of
[34:53]the utmost importance as far as what as far as the will
[34:56]of the is concern it illuminates it gives what it gives the
[35:03]path it gives the direction for the human being hence we are
[35:07]told that sometimes these stations will take a long time sometimes for
[35:11]certain people it will be very fast the narrations tell us and
[35:17]the Quran supports the idea that the process could be ours people
[35:21]could be running or Galloping on the horse so to speak the
[35:24]narration says on theat and there are others would be craw falling
[35:31]others would take a long time to cross over this particular bridge
[35:34]and they might fall many times God forbid now here we come
[35:38]to the discussion regarding the place of chastisement known as Janam and
[35:48]hell it needs a basic introduction yes because when we look at
[35:52]the Quran Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala describes Nar for example and Nar hell
[35:57]it is mentioned more than 140 times Janam more than 77 times
[36:05]yes another word for hell or the chastisement of the almighty subhanahu
[36:08]wa taala some people when this is presented and a warning that
[36:11]it will be slightly graphic for some people but it's in the
[36:15]Quran yes that we will recite the verses of the Quran that
[36:18]will give us an idea about what some people and may Allah
[36:23]subhana wa tala protect us all from the chastisement of hell what
[36:27]some people will enjoy and they will go through and you know
[36:30]these verses we are told the when they recite them they used
[36:34]to weep and cry they don't just recite the Quran byp passing
[36:37]every verse would have such a deep impact upon them yes as
[36:43]a way to teach us that these verses are there for a
[36:45]reason that the religion of Islam does not only speak about fear
[36:51]making people fearful because I tell you that is one way important
[36:54]way which acts as a deterrent for human human beings what a
[36:57]about to tell you from the verses of the Quran that for
[37:02]example describe the food of the people of hell don't worry it
[37:09]is not Biryani or mishkaki or kupaka yes it is different foods
[37:12]that the Quran speaks about yes the drink the clothing of the
[37:16]people of Hell these are there for a reason yes Allah subhana
[37:21]wa ta'ala wants us to reflect he wants to take us out
[37:24]from this deep ignorance that sometimes we go through through heedlessness so
[37:29]that we are in the zone there is no book out there
[37:35]that describes Janam in this detail like the Holy Quran Allah subhah
[37:39]wa ta'ala wants to guide us and says I'm giving you this
[37:41]so that you stay away lest you say on the day of
[37:45]judgment I didn't know about this severity of the punishment yes people
[37:49]say but you know why is it is it fair that this
[37:53]severity is there over 70 60 80 years Allah subhana tal says
[37:58]it works other way around isn't it that I will give you
[38:01]Eternal Bliss happiness Prosperity Jenna once you enter Jenna you never leave
[38:05]Jenna you never want to leave Jenna yes it's for eternity therefore
[38:08]we are told in theat when people God forbid are being led
[38:15]towards Janam they sweat blood according to the narration they are so
[38:20]remorseful they are so feeling guilty that they know what they can
[38:25]see and they appreciate how the beauty of Paradise is and they
[38:28]see that it's such a missed opportunity indeed it's not worth it
[38:34]w is not worth it when you think about it 70 80
[38:37]90 100 years compared to Eternity and what a human being May
[38:40]face in their lives when you and I reflect upon these verses
[38:45]it should be the greatest Catalyst for our change for our fear
[38:48]next time I'm watching something Haram next time I am dealing in
[38:51]a business transaction that is Haram next time I am unjustly taking
[38:54]something from someone or saying evil about someone I should be reflecting
[38:58]upon these verses I should make these verses continuously being played like
[39:06]a video in my mind yes so that I think you know
[39:07]I don't want to be or God forbid of those particular individuals
[39:13]now we are told the worse punishment in Janam is what is
[39:18]when the human being is deprived from the mercy of Allah subana
[39:22]wa tala might be difficult for us to understand because we speak
[39:26]about physical things tangible things yet the Quran says that that feeling
[39:31]that one is disconnected or does not have the opportunity to attain
[39:35]the mercy of the almighty subhana wa tala is a very frightening
[39:40]realization that the IM speaks about in doesn't it Imam says I
[39:52]may have patience to deal with the chastisement the hell but I
[39:57]can never bear with a moment to th that I be away
[39:58]far from you that's why this element was something that inspired people
[40:03]to be careful of their duties and responsibilities in case they fall
[40:10]into sin that there was aalib a student of religion in Iran
[40:12]at the Safi time we are told that the daughter of the
[40:19]Safar King in Iran was out and she lost the way in
[40:20]tahan or Ray she was walking in the streets it was dark
[40:25]she saw a house with a light open yes or room she
[40:29]knocked on the door it was dark at night that there was
[40:32]a student a young student of yes studying he opened the door
[40:38]can I help you she said she didn't say who she was
[40:40]she said I'm lost it is late at night I don't know
[40:43]where to go is it possible that you I stay and in
[40:48]the morning I go and find my place he said no worries
[40:49]come in he had only one room so he asked her to
[40:53]sleep in the corner of the room yes when he she was
[40:57]sleeping in the corner of the room Shan comes say Baba you
[41:00]are single there is Allah has sented her for you yes Temptation
[41:05]Temptation Temptation what does he do there is a candle light he
[41:10]places every time there is an evil thought in his mind he
[41:12]places one of the fingers on the flame until by the morning
[41:18]his 10 fingers were all burnt yes and he did nothing she
[41:24]leaves she goes to her father and says I saw something extraordinary
[41:27]and she recognized what has happened she told her father the story
[41:31]her father said where can I find this man he then made
[41:33]an invitation to all the students and the scholars in tahan come
[41:39]so this person also came he sat them in a gathering and
[41:41]he said I want you all he sat in a elevated place
[41:44]to raise your hands in Dua so when they all raised their
[41:46]hands he looked for the man who's got all his hands burnt
[41:50]he said you you come come come yes when he was bought
[41:53]he said why did you do this he said because you know
[41:55]I knew that I will fall into sin that's the only way
[42:00]to remind myself of what will I encounter God forbid on the
[42:02]day of judgment in Janam to feel the pain yes and that's
[42:06]why I did what I did and it is said in the
[42:10]narration that the king said then you are worthy of being the
[42:12]husband of my daughter yes and he married him yet this is
[42:16]not a suggestion that every time you might want to fall into
[42:18]sin you go and burn yourself yes no it is an indication
[42:22]of what to the extent that people go through in order to
[42:25]place a blockage so to speak before they commit the sin so
[42:31]we are told what the first thing is that the mercy of
[42:33]Allah will be deprived from them and the Quran in chapter 45
[42:39]verse number 34 says today we will forget you we will abandon
[42:48]you just how you have abandoned the almighty subhana wa ta'ala God
[42:53]forbid during your life that kind of feeling will bring incredible tremendous
[43:01]pain and suffering for what for the human being now when you
[43:08]group The riat and before it the verses that describe hell the
[43:13]following image is given to you yes that it is made up
[43:21]of deserts mountains and valleys it has Rivers seas and beaches but
[43:25]don't go far wait until we explain what they are are it
[43:32]is hot dry and harsh the wind is scorching and it causes
[43:35]the skin to blister yes the wind in those areas the sky
[43:41]is covered with black smoke it is surrounded the human being is
[43:45]surrounded by fire in all places and it is a like a
[43:50]land of erupting volcanoes yes that is how we are the image
[43:56]that is given now some of these valleys so to speak places
[44:01]in Janam are mentioned in the Quran for example s the Quran
[44:04]says that Allah will ask or the Mal will ask some people
[44:09]in a land in Janam known as why are you in this
[44:15]place the response will be we were not of the people or
[44:22]observed prayers yes and at the same time there are four things
[44:25]that are mentioned there we deny the day of judgment we used
[44:31]to please understand this the Quran says these people are admitting their
[44:35]sins or admitting what they did in this world they would say
[44:40]to the almighty and the Mala they would say we were individuals
[44:43]who engaged in vain discourse and discussions every time there is a
[44:50]discussion about anything we wasted our time Subhan Allah it's grouped with
[44:57]what with the idea of the denial of the day of judgment
[44:59]the not giving charity and at the same time not looking after
[45:05]our prayers meaning that those who waste their time in vain acts
[45:10]yes that become excessive Lau will be held accountable and God forbid
[45:15]they might be punished this is for example one Valley another Valley
[45:20]is called whale whale whale is a valley or a place in
[45:25]Janam we are told it has beaches and the inhabitants of Hell
[45:31]to get away from the fire they come to these beaches yes
[45:37]but it is not one that they use Sun cream yes because
[45:39]it has pits which have scorpions and what will have scorpions and
[45:44]snakes which are bigger according to the narration than camels who will
[45:51]bite them so excessively that they then wish to go back to
[45:55]where the fire is due to the excessive pain and the suffering
[46:00]am comes in a Hadith and describes accommodation of the people of
[46:05]hell and he says there accommodation is houses which were built for
[46:09]them due to their Good Deeds but have been destroyed because of
[46:12]their bad deeds and in one narration of the six Imam says
[46:17]some of these houses have 300 rooms in every room there are
[46:21]300 snakes and scorpions that will continuously bite the human being and
[46:26]inflict pain pain and suffering upon them mentions that he says you
[46:33]know hell has seven levels corresponding to the level of evil that
[46:39]the human being goes through in yes in the narration says Jam
[46:48]has seven levels one above the other so the the lowest one
[46:53]the worst one is where for example the are says lie in
[47:01]the worst pits of hell yes corresponding to their levels of Disobedience
[47:06]people are grouped in these particular levels the worst level is called
[47:15]Janam that's why hell generally is referred to as jahannam in reference
[47:19]to the worst level and the next one is called and the
[47:22]next one is called these are all mentioned in the Quran the
[47:27]next one is called s we've just discussed s the next one
[47:32]is called and what and now there are two types of punishments
[47:39]in Hell one psychological and one physical please understand this the psychological
[47:45]is one that involves a number of features that we and I
[47:53]should be made aware of the first realization is what is that
[47:57]the human being will be individuals who will be so regretful that
[48:03]they will start to bite their own hands and flesh they will
[48:14]be so sorry for themselves that they will bite excessively hardly upon
[48:21]themselves yes then they will ask Malik the angel of Janam to
[48:25]ask Allah to take them out in the Quran it says they
[48:31]say we want God to finish us to end us we want
[48:36]death they become desperate for death but in the narration of our
[48:39]holy six Imam the people of Janam and the people of Jenna
[48:43]are made to see that death is somehow manifested in a sheep
[48:46]and Allah Slaughters that sheep and says no death after today there
[48:53]is no death you will continuously suffer yes one thing second thing
[48:56]because of their enity and hatred and the levels of evil they
[48:59]will start to fight each other they will start to blame each
[49:04]other they will start to blame Shan they will start to blame
[49:06]their leaders Allah subhah wa ta'ala says in chapter 23: 108 he
[49:12]will say to them you are doomed in it do not bicker
[49:17]and fight because they wish to somehow place the responsibility and the
[49:24]blame upon others likewise there is utter humiliation Generations tell us and
[49:31]the Quran alludes to the idea that heaven hell is actually a
[49:34]a manifestation of the mercy of Allah do you know how because
[49:40]these people are so evil their existence will impact the people of
[49:42]Heaven they have to be purified and gone through this process in
[49:46]hell for what for the benefit of the people of in heaven
[49:51]therefore one thing that we will see is they will go through
[49:54]Extreme Measures of humiliation for example the Quran in chapter 83: 34
[50:03]on that day the Believers will laugh upon those who are being
[50:10]punished in jahanam the Nar the Quran tells us they are So
[50:12]Thirsty they ask the people of Jenna give us some water we
[50:16]beg you give us some water and the people of Jenna will
[50:19]have the opportunity to see because some of them will see people
[50:24]in Jenna according to the Janam that they were surprised about we
[50:27]thought these are good people Quran says we thought that they were
[50:30]will be with us in Jenna how is it that they are
[50:34]punished in he in hell yes they will question this number one
[50:36]and number two they will deny the people of Hell any water
[50:43]and says Allah has forbidden that we give you anything the Quran
[50:46]tells us these people in hell are grouped into two those who
[50:52]will become the fuel for jahanam and those will burn in that
[50:55]place the fuel are are the leaders who led people astray are
[51:00]those who are responsible for misguidance are responsible for deviation they will
[51:07]become the fuel for hell in which those who followed them shall
[51:11]indeed be punish now physical punishment yes needs to be known needs
[51:17]to be understood no doubt the first thing to know is the
[51:23]clothing of the people of Hell according to the Quran they will
[51:27]wear what is known as is W is what according to the
[51:35]verse 22: 19 chapter 22: 19 the six IM says he mentions
[51:44]the word he says they are garments made out of fire made
[51:47]out of fire the Garment itself is made out of fire and
[51:53]in fact the word that is used in the Quran is which
[51:58]is comust able material every time they wear it it explodes upon
[52:03]them yes and so they continuously are adorning it what about food
[52:07]yes you might wonder do they eat yes they eat the Quran
[52:12]tells us they eat what is known as is bitter foul smelling
[52:19]poisonous Thorns that they are forced to eat because they are hungry
[52:23]they do not find anything except these Thorns which are extremely bitter
[52:27]and poisonous but what about drink the drink Quran tells us because
[52:31]it causes excessive thirst these Thorns they go and drink what is
[52:38]known as and what is andas is one's own P that emerges
[52:44]from their own body it is the blood that comes out from
[52:47]the body and one's own excrement that is and people drinking that
[52:52]their own pus yes but then they are so disgusted that they
[52:58]want to eat something the Quran says then they go to a
[53:01]tree known as that this is in the state that they are
[53:09]burning that fire is engulfing them yet they still feel the need
[53:14]to eat though they go to this sh the Quran says this
[53:16]tree the the branches of the tree looks like shans when they
[53:22]eat from this tree their bellies will explode because the oil that
[53:26]comes from it will cause their stomachs to explode according to the
[53:35]Quran now at this time Allah subhana tala says whilst they're doing
[53:39]this process they will be poured their hot scolding boiling water will
[53:44]be poured over their heads but the water that is poured through
[53:52]their heads their faces will then what will go through through extreme
[53:58]burning yes it's like you know the grill or the temperature will
[54:02]be so high that their faces and their skins will be burned
[54:07]now the Quran says that their skins will go through continuous change
[54:14]that is indicative of the pain and suffering which does not seiz
[54:22]yes there is no respite there is no breather from the food
[54:27]to the clothes to the drink to the places to the levels
[54:32]now there is another punishment that is mentioned in rat that they
[54:36]start to run away the Quran in fact tells us they want
[54:41]to leave jahanam but they are not able to they reach a
[54:44]particular point which they find that there is a breeze coming so
[54:47]they continue towards it whilst engulfs in Fire and they reach a
[54:53]place of extreme cold weather that their body their bones break and
[54:57]shat due to the excessive cold hence they feel the need to
[55:01]get back to the fire because of the excessive cold that they
[55:09]encounter now the Quran is presenting us this in order for us
[55:13]to take heed in order for us to wake up and for
[55:18]us to understand that there are individuals in history who have neglected
[55:23]this and indeed they deserve the punishment of of God if Allah
[55:27]subhana wa tala has presented this before you and I we have
[55:32]no excuse to say on the day of judgment yeah Allah I
[55:34]did not know Ya Allah I was not aware the almighty would
[55:38]say that I gave you guidance I gave you the Quran yes
[55:44]and you saw people who committed heus crimes and were oppressors and
[55:50]killed indiscriminately and made the facade spread on this Earth and they
[55:56]are individuals who will no doubt be punished the worst of chastisement
[56:03]and those include the individuals who caused the Bloodshed and stood against
[56:09]the grandson of the holy prophet on the 10th of muharam the
[56:13]individuals who violated the sacredness and the sanctity of the family of
[56:18]the holy prophet including those who were determined to kill the children
[56:24]and the youngsters yes one of those who were the Eternal um
[56:33]the martyrs of carala is Alim the son of the Holy second
[56:36]imass yes a man who was 12 or 13 of age a
[56:41]young boy narration tell us on that Eve of a he was
[56:51]asked by IM Hussein how is death to you this young man
[56:54]says oh Uncle Hussein death is sweet than honey Imam recognized that
[57:01]he is ready to fight the next day but it was difficult
[57:04]for Imam to accept Kim seeking permission to fight in the battlefield
[57:09]on the 10th of muharam the narrations tell us when Kim heard
[57:15]the cries of abah he heard the cries of Hussein he came
[57:24]towards he said un Hussein I cannot bear to hear your cries
[57:32]for assistance allow me to go to the battlefield let me fight
[57:36]IM Hussein looks at he says you are what reminds me of
[57:45]my brother Hass I cannot send you to the to the battlefield
[57:50]I cannot see you go through this particular phase he kasim comes
[58:00]out of the tent of Imam is upset that he is not
[58:02]able to fight he goes to his mother ramla he says to
[58:08]her mother can you help me my uncle does not allow me
[58:14]to fight on the battlefield now his mother takes out a letter
[58:18]it is a letter from IM she says go and give this
[58:26]letter to your uncle kasim rushes towards the tent of he says
[58:30]husin this is a letter from my father Imam takes the letter
[58:37]he starts to read it the letter saysin I am unable to
[58:43]be there on the 10th of muharam to support you but I
[58:51]ask you and urge you to accept my son allow him to
[58:54]fight IM saying the tears come down his eyes and now he
[59:00]gives permission he says kasim if you're about to go then I
[59:04]ask you to go and bid farewell to the women of theit
[59:07]they are there waiting for you apparently in the narration says before
[59:12]going goes and wears the tab of his father he wears the
[59:21]cloak of his father then comes towards the tent where the ladies
[59:27]are there he enters to Bid Farewell the ladies look at this
[59:32]young man and remember they say it is as if im Hassan
[59:35]was standing there some of them came and held on to him
[59:40]do not go we cannot see you leave this man this Kim
[59:49]leaves the narration tells us that his face was Illuminating like a
[59:56]bright moon Muslim says I saw this young man he came out
[59:59]walking he was wearing sandals he was determined to fight he came
[60:06]and he approached and he valiantly began to combat and fight he
[60:10]started to strike the enemies he started to kill a part of
[60:13]the enemies he says then one man said I will make his
[60:19]uncle and his mother mourn for him he hid when kasim saw
[60:25]that one of his sandals the string had been removed he bent
[60:30]down to fix it that man came and struck the sword on
[60:35]the head of Kim the narrations tell us the sword was so
[60:40]heavy that it split the head of kimim fell onto the ground
[60:47]he called [Applause] out oh Hussein oh Uncle come towards me IM
[61:00]Hussein rushes towards Kim he sits next toim he sees Kim in
[61:08]this stage in this state he cries ohim it is so difficult
[61:15]for your uncle to hear your cries but not able to assist
[61:18]you Allah abbar then R tell us that Imam Hussein carried the
[61:24]body of Kim but you know how he carried the body then
[61:26]gracious tell us that he was dragging the body he was knelt
[61:30]down the body was dragging onto the ground because his NE back
[61:34]had been broken from this sight he brought the body of Alim
[61:38]and he placed the body next to the body of Al next
[61:43]to the bodies of and muhamad then he looked at the bodies
[61:49]on the right there was Al and on the left there is
[61:52]Alim now he saw that there are ladies waiting outside say Z
[62:00]said thatd the mothers want to come inside the tent and cry
[62:05]they want to shed tears for their sons Imam says allow them
[62:12]to come let them cry that they come inside they throw themselves
[62:17]on the bodies of their children of their boys one cries oh
[62:24]oh you are too young to go I did not see so
[62:30]many about your life you left me oh he rise from at
