[8:55]these 10 days and this show of support that we saw in

[8:59]the last 10 days is something phenomenal I sincerely thank all of

[9:04]you for your support I also sincerely would like to thank the

[9:08]NYC their leadership their volunteers their board members for the endless amount

[9:19]of time that they put in conducting these programs I ask Allah

[9:23]to compensate them to reward them and to make them all to

[9:30]make us all amongst the supporters of Imam Hussein it was truly

[9:33]my honor to be with you the last 10 nights please do

[9:39]forgive me for any shortcomings inshallah when I go back to the

[9:43]holy city of karbala and Negev I will keep all of you

[11:09]I shall never forget Zane after being protected now she's being paraded

[11:15]in the streets foreign come save us see what's happening to us

[12:07]foreign it would protect us from being exposed but when the morning

[12:42]comes we'd be paraded our faces would be exposed and men would

[12:46]be looking at us this pain to the hearts of zainab and

[12:50]those Noble women oh yeah my father Jose my father Ali come

[13:37]see your Hussain without a son without a cafe father come see

[13:47]the horses trampling the body of your beloved Hussein this is Ashura

[13:53]at night the night of the 11th [Music] the sacrifice that the

[14:01]family of Imam Hussain made was a sacrifice that history has never

[14:06]seen anything like what those women had to go through the real

[14:12]tragedy for the family of Imam was saying started on a night

[14:19]like this when they lost Imam Hussain they lost they lost their

[14:24]supporters their Guardians imagine the hearts of those little girls in the

[14:31]deserts of karbala what a difficult sacrifice this one day of Ashura

[14:38]was a wound in the heart of they could never ever forget

[14:47]one day one of the companions objects to him those are my

[14:55]master crying isn't it enough is it not enough for your grief

[15:07]to end for your sorrow to end how much do you want

[15:09]to cry 30 years is that not a lot of time you

[15:15]know what's said to him he told him let me tell you

[15:23]something the prophet he had 12 sons kept him away from one

[15:32]of his sons eleven were next to him one of them Yusuf

[15:38]was kept away from him do you know what happened to Yusuf

[15:41]he cried until his eyes turned white he cried until his hair

[15:52]became Gray he cried until his back became bent and his son

[15:56]wasn't killed he was alive in this Dunya holy and I saw

[16:09]my father my brother and 17 members of my family slaughtered around

[16:13]me do you want my sorrow to end the sorrow would never

[16:19]end for the El debates when they would remember the tragedy of

[16:22]Imam Hussain when they would remember the tragedy of zainab the granddaughter

[16:28]of rasulullah being helped as a captive as a prisoner of war

[16:33]how could the Elevate ever forget that that's why Salam would say

[16:44]the day of Hussain wounded our eyelids we cried so much such

[16:51]that our eyelids were wounded one day a man goes to see

[16:57]Al Imam and he realizes this is in Medina about a year

[17:02]after kerubella he realizes there's a woman sitting in the courtyard of

[17:07]the house under the sun under the hot scorching son of Medina

[17:12]this man what did he think he thought maybe this lady this

[17:17]woman is a maid who works in the house she's done something

[17:19]wrong and the Imam is punishing her that's how he thought of

[17:25]it so he wanted to mediate he told him Imam said John

[17:27]you're compassionate why are you punishing her by telling her to sit

[17:29]under the sun when he said that is broke into tears he

[17:36]told him she's not a maid for one year she's been sitting

[17:47]under the sun she said Hussain his body for three days was

[17:53]under the sun I can never forget that I will sit every

[17:56]day under the sun those women could never forget the trauma of

[18:03]karbala and we shall never forget karbala no matter what happens we

[18:07]don't care about the world today many Muslims in the world celebrate

[18:12]this day they exchange greetings and gifts on this day they forget

[18:16]the greatest tragedy they forget that their Prophet cried in Sunni sources

[18:22]the prophet cried at least 20 times on Imam Hussain 50 years

[18:26]have a century before Imam Hussein was killed yet they greet one

[18:31]another as if nothing happened on this day but we shall never

[18:36]forget about Abdullah we shall never forget the sacrifice of Imam we

[18:40]shall never forget the patience of those women you know my dear

[18:46]brothers and sisters for me the most striking lesson that I learned

[18:51]from karbara as the patience of those women not one of them

[18:57]not one of them complained to Allah not one of them changed

[19:02]her path and she said you know what I will stop believing

[19:04]in God enough is enough what happened not one of them weakened

[19:11]despite what they went through despite the tragedy they were all so

[19:18]strong Wallah that's the greatest inspiration for us that's why Imam Hussein

[19:24]took those women and children to karbala to teach us be strong

[19:26]in times of difficulty even if it's difficult even if you're going

[19:30]through a tragedy it's okay you have Allah with you be strong

[19:35]Allah will Elevate you Allah will eternalize you Allah will take care

[19:39]of you and Allah will give you the akhara that's a beautiful

[19:44]lesson that we can learn so now the question is how do

[19:50]I become like that what do I do to find that strength

[19:52]that Imam Hussain had in karbara how do I find the resilience

[19:59]and the strength of the woman of karbala there are two quick

[20:02]tips I will share with you that are really helpful in raising

[20:07]us to that level of patience the first one is our perspective

[20:14]on this Dunya how we view this world you know this world

[20:17]for us it's a big deal it's a huge deal for us

[20:22]if you want to reach that level of faith and patience simply

[20:29]adjust your perspective simply see the worth of this materialistic world that's

[20:36]all it's very simple has a powerful statement beautiful statement in which

[20:43]he describes his brothers we are honored to be the Servants of

[20:50]the Servants of the servants says do you want to be my

[20:56]brother I will consider you my brother if you change your perspective

[20:58]oh Ali how do I become your brother the Imam Ali salaam

[21:03]States this is how you become my brother I will describe to

[21:06]you what your perspective should be States my brother kabara the Imam

[21:20]says my brother what makes him big in my eyes is the

[21:26]smallness of the world in his eyes the smaller this world is

[21:33]in your eyes the bigger you are in the eyes of imamadi

[21:36]what's the value of this Dunya my dear brothers and sisters the

[21:42]day of Ashura is the biggest Testament this Dunya is worthless when

[21:46]someone like Hussein gets killed in this Dunya this Dunya has no

[21:52]value what's the what's the value of this Dunya when someone like

[21:56]Imam Hussain is killed like that but we put all of our

[22:00]hopes on this Dunya and the materialistic aspect of this Dunya Imam

[22:06]Hussain teaches us live in this Dunya be successful sure build your

[22:11]Dunya organize it but your heart should not be in this Dunya

[22:17]keep your heart away from this Dunya this Dunya destroys the heart

[22:23]this Dunya is poison for the heart always keep your heart at

[22:30]a higher place keep your heart with Allah with the angels with

[22:34]the prophets with the imams let that be the spiritual fuel that

[22:38]will take you that's how we see this Dunya really it's worthless

[22:42]this Dunya when you look at it the last letter that Imam

[22:47]Hussain wrote in his life was on the day of Ashura the

[22:51]very last letter one line Imam Hussain wrote one line he addressed

[22:56]this letter to members of benihashem who stayed behind in Medina some

[23:00]of his relatives who stayed behind the Imam Ali salaam told them

[23:05]this letter is to my to the members of benihashem foreign it's

[23:17]as if the world never existed and it is ever that's the

[23:30]last letter of your Imam this Dunya is so short-lived it's so

[23:34]temporary it's as if it didn't even exist and it is as

[23:39]if the akhara is already here it's already here the men sees

[23:44]the akhara and fills the akhara from this Dunya a motman smells

[23:50]the akhara from this Dunya here's the akhara from this Dunya just

[23:54]like a dream have you ever had those nightmares that seemed end

[24:00]that seemed endless but the second you wake up that's it it's

[24:03]gone it's gone tell us it's not it's as if it wasn't

[24:07]even there that's how the Dunya is that's the last letter Imam

[24:12]Hussain ever wrote and this is a lesson for us and when

[24:14]you see Dunya from this lens you understand why the system of

[24:21]Allah is beautiful you understand why zainab said to IBN Ziad and

[24:24]kufa when he told her how do you find what Allah did

[24:28]to your mother Hussain he wanted to insult her make her grieve

[24:31]but she detonated a bomb on his head with her reply she

[24:38]told him I saw nothing but Beauty how how is this beauty

[24:43]through a simple mathematical equation I will prove to you how the

[24:50]system of Allah is amazingly beautiful despite that it has suffering very

[24:53]simple math equation I want you all to remember it because this

[24:59]equation will give you strength for the last day of your life

[25:03]imagine you work five years you study five years you go to

[25:10]medical school law school engineering school any type of school you work

[25:13]hard five years then you live for 50 years and you have

[25:18]a good life good career good income so how much do you

[25:24]give five years in return how many years do you get 50.

[25:28]what's 5 divided by 50.

[25:31]who's good at math here 10 right that means you're giving 10

[25:39]percent five and you're getting ninety percent fifty is that a good

[25:45]deal yeah that's a very good deal where can you give 10

[25:47]and get 90.

[25:48]that's a very good deal imagine if you were to live not

[25:57]50 years you work five years you study hard you pull all-nighters

[26:00]you go through a lot of pain during those five years just

[26:02]ask people who graduate from Law School Medical School they'll tell you

[26:07]the torture they have to go through residency and the torture that

[26:11]comes with it it's not easy but let's say you put these

[26:16]five and in return you get 500 years 5 divided by 500

[26:21]what's the equation now one percent you're given one you're giving one

[26:29]and you're getting how much in return 99.

[26:31]99 percent 5 divided by 500 is one percent you're giving one

[26:38]and you're getting 99 how's that of a deal now now imagine

[26:43]you were to Live 5 000 years no fifty thousand no five

[26:50]hundred thousand the akhara you cannot put a figure to it how

[26:58]much do people live in the akhara infinitely my dear brothers and

[27:03]sisters in this Dunya we work hard 50 60 70 years in

[27:06]return what is Allah giving you five million years in akhara five

[27:12]trillion years Allah is giving you infinity now those who are really

[27:17]good at math when you take any number let's say 70 years

[27:22]you work hard and you divide it by what Allah is going

[27:24]to give you on the day of judgment which is infinity when

[27:28]you take any number and you divide it by Infinity what do

[27:32]you get what do you get zero mathematically you get zero so

[27:38]now when you work 70 years and Allah is giving you infinity

[27:43]how much are you giving to Allah nothing zero and what is

[27:50]he giving you everything tell me if the system is not beautiful

[27:56]Infinity is so massive it dwarfs your 70 years of hard work

[28:04]to zero because that Infinity is based on these 70 years that

[28:09]you work but the reward is so massive it dwarfs it it's

[28:12]like zero it's like you didn't even give anything because nothing can

[28:15]be compared to Infinity divide any number by Infinity you get zero

[28:21]it's so small what you're giving to Allah compared to what he's

[28:25]given you it's almost like zero show me a better deal than

[28:30]that now you understand what Hussein means when he says it says

[28:36]if the world doesn't exist it's zero mathematically it's zero that's the

[28:46]meaning of it that is the first step to finding that strength

[28:53]and patience just change your perspective on this Dunya secondly my dear

[28:59]brothers and sisters know that Allah is with you monitoring and watching

[29:05]Allah your creator the one who runs the universe Imam Hussein when

[29:11]his infant was slaughtered in his arms that is not a trial

[29:16]a father can handle you see your infant who's the grandson of

[29:21]the Prophet the great grandson of the Prophet from this progeny slaughtered

[29:26]thirsty any any father would crumble and collapse and give up what

[29:33]is it that gave Imam hussain's strength what gives me Solace right

[29:44]now in strength what allows me not to collapse is the fact

[29:47]that you're watching you're there with me the fact that I'm dedicating

[29:51]this to you if it weren't for you I'd collapse any time

[29:56]you go through a tragedy a difficulty just know Allah is with

[30:01]you just know Allah is there and he knows what you're going

[30:03]through even if the whole world misunderstands you it doesn't matter who

[30:06]cares about the people Allah doesn't misunderstand me does he he creates

[30:12]me he knows me as long as Allah doesn't misunderstand you it

[30:18]doesn't matter as long as you have the recognition from Allah who

[30:22]cares about this world and social media and Tick Tock and Instagram

[30:26]and even if you get ten thousand likes or not so what

[30:31]does that make you a better person does that help you in

[30:36]your grave on the day of judgment if they put me right

[30:39]now in my grave I ask you in the name of Allah

[30:43]does it matter if I have 30 000 likes or three likes

[30:45]on Tick Tock does it matter does it matter if Allah is

[30:50]pleased with you if you're on good terms with your Lord that's

[30:53]sufficient doesn't matter we kill ourselves to get recognition from our society

[31:00]for them to recognize our achievements for them to comment on our

[31:10]posts even our body we suffer to uphold a body type that

[31:12]is attractive in society many people suffer people commit suicide people get

[31:18]depressed because of this doesn't matter if Allah is pleased with you

[31:23]so what when Allah and the angels and the prophets and the

[31:27]imams are giving me their attention I'm running after miserable people for

[31:32]their attention imagine imagine it's your day of graduation and the most

[31:38]beloved people that you love in your life are around you your

[31:41]parents your friends your siblings and they're celebrating they're giving you a

[31:47]cake gift and you're sitting there unhappy grumpy mom comes up to

[31:53]you she tells you Habibi what's the matter today is your graduation

[31:55]day and we're giving you all this attention you say you know

[32:01]those ants in the corner of the room they're not giving me

[32:05]any gifts they're not giving me any attention if you were to

[32:09]say that what would your mom think of you she'd think you're

[32:15]insane are you serious the dearest people around you were giving you

[32:19]attention do you care about some creature in the corner of the

[32:25]room not clapping for you you saw how silly this example was

[32:28]that's life for us every day Allah the king of the universe

[32:36]is giving me his attention the angels of God give me their

[32:39]attention the Imam of my time if I do good deeds give

[32:41]me gives me his attention no no no that's not sufficient for

[32:45]me I still need this guy's attention and that guy's attention and

[32:48]that guy's likes and that guy's reply you know when I look

[32:55]for recognition other than from Allah I'm insulting Allah that's what Imam

[33:01]Hussain teaches us because essentially I'm saying God Ya Allah you're not

[33:06]good enough for me your attention is not good enough for me

[33:09]I still want that guy's attention I want that girl's attention I

[33:13]want this person's attention Imam Hussain teaches you the attention Allah gives

[33:19]you is more than sufficient what do you need that's why in

[33:26]the beautiful Dua of arafah the Imam States foreign what is he

[33:33]found the one who's lost you if I've lost my connection with

[33:37]my Lord what have I found give me the whole universe what

[33:39]am I going to do with it and Allah what is he

[33:46]lost the one who's found you if you have your faith in

[33:53]Allah the faith in Quran you uphold moral values you're the richest

[33:57]being in the universe you don't need anything else nothing else is

[34:04]anything that you're going to require that's the beautiful lesson that we

[34:09]learned from Imam Hussein and we can uphold that my dear brothers

[34:14]and sisters it is possible that's why we remember Ashura and this

[34:20]tragedy every single year because it gives us that strength to rise

[34:26]to have the Imam Hussain to have the patience of Imam Hussain

[34:34]and even though Imam Hussain Ali salaam was massacred 14 centuries ago

[34:37]in karbara today we have the continuation of Imam Hussain his grandson

[34:45]wants us to sacrifice give from your heart give from your time

[34:51]give from your share your beautiful with others that's what the Imam

[34:58]wants from us are we willing to make that true sacrifice or

[35:03]no Imam Hussein before he arrived karbala when he arrived in Iraq

[35:09]they blocked him from going to kufa he stopped at a village

[35:12]called kasur Benin it's not far from kufa it's not far from

[35:20]Carabella maybe an hour's drive or less Salam came to there was

[35:26]a man's name was he just left kufa he had heard that

[35:32]Hussein is coming so he didn't want to get involved he's like

[35:36]if I'm in kufa maybe I'll be pressured to support or say

[35:40]it and then I'll be I'll get in trouble with the authorities

[35:42]let me do without it so he also had a tent in

[35:48]this Village Imam Hussein comes and meets him he tells him you've

[35:54]had a dark past he used to work with oppressors he used

[36:00]to loot Caravans he had a lot of sins Imam Hussain told

[36:02]him you have a lot of sins a dark past do you

[36:07]want to wash all of that and be forgiven by Allah he

[36:12]said yes what do I have to do he says come with

[36:17]me to Carabella come with me support us Allah will forgive you

[36:22]look at the offer Imam Hussain gave and we say to you

[36:28]we all have dark moments in our history but we are willing

[36:32]to sacrifice for your cause he says sorry I'm not willing to

[36:39]go and get killed I still want to live I have a

[36:43]future ahead of me I don't want to leave this Dunya but

[36:48]here's what I'll do I'll give you my sword and I'll give

[36:53]you my horse my sword is the sharpest sword anything it strikes

[36:58]it will kill and my horse is the fastest horse here I'll

[37:03]give them to you what did Imam Hussain say to him Imam

[37:08]Hussein told him you think I need your horse you think I

[37:14]need your sword if you are stingy with your naps I don't

[37:18]need your sword I don't need your horse the Imam loved them

[37:23]my dear brothers and sisters Imam Hussain doesn't need us he has

[37:29]Allah as the universe Allah has given to him we are the

[37:32]ones who need Imam Hussain we are the ones who need the

[37:37]service of Imam Hussain serving Imam Hussain sacrificing in the name of

[37:42]Imam Hussain make a plan tonight from now till next year how

[37:45]will I change if my next Ashura I'm in the same situation

[37:49]same old habits sinful habits same character I have not sacrificed three

[37:57]months tell me look I don't need you but if I sacrifice

[38:02]if I reduce the ego in my heart the arrogance I improve

[38:06]my akhlat with my family members with my friends I'm less abusive

[38:09]less sinful habits than that's an achievement that's a sacrifice I'm doing

[38:14]for Allah but in the name of Imam Hussain that's what I

[38:21]can give to ABI Abdullah and Imam Al Hussain is generous anytime

[38:26]you dedicate anything in his honor Allah will compensate you Allah will

[38:33]Elevate you and you know what Allah will show you the biggest

[38:38]gift on the day of judgments before you enter Heaven is to

[38:41]see the new and the face of Imam Hussain the Hadith states

[38:47]on the day of judgment the lovers of Imam Hussain those who

[38:49]sacrifice for Imam Hussain those who went to ziara if you have

[38:54]not gone to ziara my dear brothers and sisters go for ziara

[38:59]show your respect to Imam Hussain it's one of the most recommended

[39:06]Deeds you can ever do in your life if you're stuck in

[39:09]a situation nothing can help you go to ABI Abdullah Allah has

[39:13]put the answer in his shrine years ago someone in this community

[39:19]told me say it I've been traumatized since my childhood I was

[39:22]abused when I was a child I cannot get over this trauma

[39:26]I saw this therapist that therapist nothing's working I'm going crazy my

[39:31]mental health is going to lead me to Suicide what do I

[39:33]do I've tried all the duas to don't give me an extra

[39:38]I don't have the interest anymore my dear brothers and sisters when

[39:44]I'm stuck and I don't know what else to say I send

[39:46]people to Imam I was saying it was in September of that

[39:51]year 2017.

[39:52]I will not forget that I said to this person go for

[39:54]ziara have you ever gone to ziara the person said no I

[39:57]said go to ziara I'll guarantee you that you'll see something a

[40:01]breakthrough will happen the person came back three months later and the

[40:05]person told me emailed me and said Allah healed me fully in

[40:12]that's it I've moved on from that past go first the NYC

[40:15]is organizing a trip for the Youth the Youth of our community

[40:22]take advantage of such opportunities go and walk with Millions just arrive

[40:26]at The Shrine of Imam Hussain many people ask me said when

[40:31]I get there what do I say what's the first thing I

[40:34]say my recommendation when you stand before saying we all have needs

[40:39]and I know people have millions of hajjad but this first yeah

[40:42]I'm not going to ask for anything I'm just here going to

[40:48]stand and thank you for your sacrifice and thank zainab for her

[40:52]sacrifice that's all that's all I'm going to say on my first

[40:55]ziara that will change your life it will change your soul it

[40:59]will change your heart we ask Allah to grant us this on

[41:03]the day of judgment the sahih Hadith States under the Throne of

[41:08]Allah there will be a gathering Imam Hussain is at the center

[41:14]he's sinning on a Pulpit on a member and all those who

[41:16]loved Imam Hussain served Imam Hussein through their deeds any way that

[41:21]you supported Imam Hussain your participation your financial contribution holding majority in

[41:28]your homes supporting majalis giving food in the name of Imam Hussain

[41:31]going for ziara any type of support you gave for Imam Hussain

[41:34]you will be included in that Gathering you're looking at the face

[41:40]of Imam Hussain the Hadith States you are called by the Heavenly

[41:45]Creatures come to Heaven you passed your test come to your Palace

[41:50]come to your village in heaven come to your kingdom you will

[41:56]not look back you will not look at the other side to

[42:00]see Heaven they keep telling you come why don't you come your

[42:02]place in Heaven is Waiting for you you know what you will

[42:06]see when you're looking at the face of Imam Hussain you will

[42:09]say stop distracting us from the Noor and the light of Imam

[42:16]Hussain face of Hussein is Heaven for the Believers and the Hadith

[42:22]States few die with Iman the moment of death Imam Hussain will

[42:27]appear to you brothers and sisters never leave he will not leave

[42:35]you in that difficult moment you will see his face and imagine

[42:40]when you see the face of her said you think you'll have

[42:43]any worries Allah is very generous with us he gave us the

[42:47]gift of Al Muhammad on this night thank Allah for the gift

[42:52]of I don't know what we would have done without Imam Hussain

[42:56]life is dark without Imam Hussain he's truly the gift of Allah

[43:02]the torch of Salvation he's literally a torch that illuminates your mind

[43:06]to your heart your soul on this night we will pay respect

[43:14]to Imam Al Hussain and on this night we now go to

[43:18]the land of karma let's see what happened after the tragic according

[43:25]to one Hadith the young daughter of Imam Hussain she narrates to

[43:32]us the events she says after my father was massacred in karbara

[43:37]the enemies the horsemen they charged out at our tents and they

[43:43]set our tents to fire and we were running from 110 to

[43:50]another 10 seeking Refuge fatuma says I remember when I would see

[43:54]them chasing the children terrorizing them she says I saw one of

[44:01]those evil men he followed one of the girls and he pulled

[44:06]off the earring from her ear he ripped her ears she says

[44:10]I got scared I didn't know where to go foreign imagine surrounded

[44:25]by thousands of vicious men she says I got scared I didn't

[44:31]know where to go the tents they're on fire where do I

[44:35]go all I see is mutilated bodies on the ground she says

[44:38]I was running trying to hide behind a tree behind something when

[44:43]suddenly I felt a man beating me with the back of his

[44:51]spear hahaha and then he reached out for my earrings and he

[44:55]pulled up from my ear [Laughter] s what happened to your family

[45:03]she says then I wanted to know where zainab was so I

[45:10]went to the tent of lady zainab I knew she was next

[45:13]to Imam she says I went on to the tent of lady
