[0:00]foreign [Music] [Music] Allah [Music] foreign my um [Music] foreign [Music] [Music]
[2:15]Muhammad respected Elders brothers and sisters why is our culture so obsessed
[2:42]with sex with gender and with preferred pronouns why is it that
[2:50]we see a drastic increase in the number of young people who
[2:54]identify as transgenders or as non-binaries my dear brothers and sisters there
[3:07]are many reasons why we are witnessing an unprecedented era an era
[3:14]of mass confusion about something as basic as sex and gender there
[3:22]are many reasons however there are two individuals two men who deserve
[3:30]a lot of credit or blame for our society's fixation on gender
[3:43]issues and these two individuals are Alfred Kinsey and John money if
[3:51]you study gender Theory and you want to understand the development the
[4:00]historical development of these ideas ideas like gender identity gender theory gender
[4:05]fluidity it's important to familiarize ourselves with some of the leading thinkers
[4:11]some of the intellectual pioneers of gender ideology if you look at
[4:20]these two individuals when you examine their lives what you find is
[4:28]quite shocking Alfred Kinsey and John money if you look at them
[4:36]and you study their careers their experiments you find that these individuals
[4:40]are actually deeply Disturbed people they are individuals who are actually serial
[4:50]abusers and there is no doubt that an argument can be made
[4:55]that they probably even had pedophilic tendencies why do I say that
[5:02]you take Alfred Kinsey for example this is an individual who at
[5:04]least in the American context he was among the first to popularized
[5:12]the idea of gender fluidity he was in Indiana University researcher and
[5:20]his area of Interest was sexuality he authored two important books among
[5:26]the books that he published was a book called sexual behavior in
[5:33]the human female and he published another book called sexual behavior in
[5:41]the human male so he popularized the idea of gender fluidity fluidity
[5:49]in 1948.
[5:52]so again sometimes we take it for granted how new these Concepts
[5:56]and these ideas are when when Alfred Kinsey was studying sexuality he
[6:06]actually used about 300 children in his experience in his experiments many
[6:12]people don't know this he was studying sexuality in children babies infants
[6:21]in fact he was actually studying sexual pleasure in children now my
[6:26]question is how can a child from an ethical standpoint how can
[6:33]a child consent to participate in such an experiment so you find
[6:39]that one of the intellectual pioneers of gender fluidity an individual who
[6:45]has shaped you know John money and Alfred Kinsey they have influenced
[6:50]the lgbtq movement and they have essentially shaped the Western culture's View
[6:58]on gender and sexuality so this is an individual you know these
[7:02]are people who Unfortunately they are given awards for their research when
[7:06]they should have went to prison for child abuse you take John
[7:15]money he was an American psychologist he was a professor at Johns
[7:23]Hopkins University and he was among the first to popularize the idea
[7:29]in America at least that gender and sex are two different things
[7:34]that someone's gender and their sex doesn't necessarily have to align in
[7:42]fact he made the argument that he was among the proponents of
[7:49]the argument that gender is a social construct and hence it is
[7:56]inextricably malleable it's something that you can change so what happens what
[8:02]happened was that an opportunity arose that offered him a chance to
[8:13]put his theory to the test there was a family called the
[8:20]Reimer family this was probably in the 1960s the Reimer family they
[8:28]had twins two little boys one of the boys damaged his genitalia
[8:39]during a circumcision that went wrong so they went to John money
[8:46]and they were looking for some solutions he recommended that they put
[8:54]their son Bruce Bruce was his name the little boy he suggested
[8:59]that Bruce should go through sexual reassignment surgeries and he suggested he
[9:07]recommended and keep in mind this is a professor this is someone
[9:09]who has a gender identity Clinic he recommended to the parents that
[9:17]Bruce yes he's a biological male but from now on raise him
[9:25]as a girl so Bruce now became Brenda this is a real
[9:32]story this is a true story so for the next several years
[9:38]Bruce is raised as a as a girl and Bruce and his
[9:46]brother or Brenda and his brother for years they were subjected to
[9:53]the most horrific psychological and sexual abuse at the hands of this
[10:00]man and you know what happened these two boys they grew up
[10:05]and they ended up one of them died of a drug overdose
[10:09]and the other one committed suicide Alfred Kinsey and John money are
[10:18]some of the leading figures some of the pioneers of the gender
[10:23]ideology movement it's very important brothers and sisters that when we discuss
[10:29]any topic any issue we have to be familiar with the background
[10:33]story we have to understand who these people are where these ideas
[10:38]are coming from now when you look at these terms as I
[10:45]mentioned last night we take it for granted that homosexuality is something
[10:50]that has been around for a long time the reality is homosexuality
[10:53]is a relatively new term it was coined in the 1860s it's
[10:59]not something that existed for thousands of years or hundreds of years
[11:01]similarly the term gender identity was something that was coined just a
[11:09]few decades ago and gender identity basically refers to the way that
[11:16]someone feels about themselves right so the argument here is that sex
[11:21]and even this is being challenged today sex is a reference to
[11:28]your biological traits your sex organs and gender is how you feel
[11:36]so you might have someone who is a biological male but their
[11:43]gender does not correspond to their Anatomy it doesn't correspond to their
[11:51]Anatomy now when you look at the Quran and of course this
[11:54]is where we get into the topic of social construct and the
[11:58]idea of a social construct is that it's malleable it's something that's
[12:03]subjective what's interesting as I mentioned last night sexual orientation today is
[12:11]considered to be a social construct which is subject to change you
[12:19]can change it but why is it if it's something that can
[12:22]be changed why is it that in Canada conversion therapy is considered
[12:29]a harmful practice if it's possible to change why can't a homosexual
[12:34]change to a heterosexual no that's harmful there are only some transitions
[12:40]that are approved you see now when you look at the the
[12:47]Quran and by the way speaking of of gender identities just today
[12:51]if you look up how many gender identities there are there are
[12:57]a 107 gender identities can you imagine that can you imagine the
[13:02]confusion of the times that we live in today and all of
[13:08]these are social constructs gender fluidity today you can be a he
[13:11]tomorrow you can be a she the next day you can be
[13:16]in they your feelings take priority over objective reality now what does
[13:24]the Quran say about gender now again it's a it's a new
[13:31]term the Quran when it speaks about gender it doesn't purport that
[13:34]gender is a social construct the Quran tells us that gender is
[13:38]a Divine construct Allah when he speaks about the creation of the
[13:44]human being in Surat o people all Humanity o people we have
[14:02]created you we Allah this is a Divine construct we have created
[14:05]you from a male this is not a social construct is something
[14:13]that has been determined by Allah this is a Divine Design so
[14:18]the first human beings there's a fundamental gender binary there and then
[14:25]Allah he says from those from the first male and female from
[14:41]Adam and Eve Allah says the first human beings there was a
[14:52]gender binary male and female and from this first pair they procreated
[15:00]other children grandchildren progeny that also fall into this male and female
[15:09]category so the Quran tells us that the first human beings it's
[15:16]male and female they're children their offspring the Quran also tells us
[15:22]that this these categories are not arbitrary they're not malleable Allah what
[15:31]does he say in the Quran the male is not like the
[15:43]female who would have thought that such a simple verse speaking about
[15:47]a very simple idea would become one of the most contested statements
[15:57]in fact not only we live in a time where we cannot
[16:02]even identify what is a record and what is an untha imagine
[16:06]that Islam you're not going to find the Hadith or a verse
[16:11]in the Quran where Allah tells you what a man is or
[16:14]what a woman is you might have some documentaries that speak about
[16:19]these issues it's like asking what is the Islamic definition of water
[16:24]Allah doesn't need to Define it it's obvious does it need to
[16:28]Define what a man is what a woman is because it's obvious
[16:31]it's common sense but unfortunately we are living in a period of
[16:40]mass delusion I'm sorry to say it that's the reality we live
[16:43]in a time of mass delusion Allah says the male is not
[16:48]like the female Allah is not saying that the male is better
[16:52]than the male better than the female or the female is better
[16:57]than them they are equally Noble but they're different they're complementary they
[17:05]need each other but they have different roles they have different responsibilities
[17:11]in fact one of the strongest evidences that we have that there
[17:16]exists in Islam a fundamental gender or binary is open up any
[17:22]book of Islamic law significant number of our akam are gender-based if
[17:29]you look at something like Salah there are certain for women in
[17:38]Salah that are discouraged for men there are certain that apply to
[17:43]women when it comes to fasting they don't apply to men when
[17:47]a woman gets divorced for example she may have to go go
[17:51]through a waiting period a man doesn't have an is this discrimination
[17:56]no there are differences in the rulings that apply to men and
[18:03]women why because because men are not like women we're different and
[18:10]one of the most destructive ideas that has been purported and peddled
[18:17]by certain strands of feminism is what the male is like the
[18:22]female do you know how much damage this has cost to women
[18:24]when they live in a society where they have to constantly compare
[18:31]themselves to men they have to strive to emulate men men are
[18:34]put up on the pedestal and a woman has to be like
[18:39]a man if she wants to be successful but the Quran says
[18:44]you're different as much as you try to fight it you cannot
[18:50]fight science you cannot fight biology you cannot fight this Divine construct
[18:56]when he said now obviously there are certain aspects of traditional gender
[19:04]roles that are culture based we're not denying that but to say
[19:09]that gender is completely divorced from biology is simply incorrect it's baseless
[19:18]in fact if you look at a man and a woman a
[19:21]male and a female we are not only different in our appearance
[19:28]we are different even on the molecular level we're different our our
[19:35]DNA is different so why is it that we have certain ideologies
[19:39]that insist that the man and the woman should be treated equally
[19:43]but their DNA is different why should why should two things that
[19:50]are different be treated equally now there are certain people my dear
[19:58]brothers and sisters who suffer of what is called gender dysphoria the
[20:06]oh by the way the overwhelming majority of human beings will very
[20:12]neatly fit into one of these two categories male and female the
[20:18]overwhelming majority of human beings are going to fit into these categories
[20:22]there is a very very small percentage of people who are born
[20:29]with a medical condition called gender dysphoria gender dysphoria is basically when
[20:36]someone does not identify with their own sex they have a stronger
[20:47]association with the opposite sex so for example someone who suffers of
[20:53]gender dysphoria they might be a biological male anatomically physiologically he's a
[20:59]man he's male but he feels that he is a female he
[21:05]feels that he is trapped in the wrong body this condition exists
[21:11]there are some people who suffer of this and as Muslims we
[21:15]should not insult these people we should not denigrate them we should
[21:20]speak to them with kindness just like anyone who has who's going
[21:24]through a struggle who has an illness a condition they need they
[21:27]needed to be treated with compassion with understanding with empathy because what
[21:32]does the prophet say Muslim men a Muslim is someone whom people
[21:44]feel safe from his hand and his tongue and this applies to
[21:50]all people my dear brothers and sisters even people who have been
[21:57]duped by gender ideology who are confused about their gender identity that
[22:03]does not give uni license to bully them this is very important
[22:05]and this is one of the criticisms that I personally have when
[22:08]it comes to certain individuals who might conduct interviews with people who
[22:13]are struggling with their identity now it's okay to have discussions but
[22:20]to mock but to ridicule is unislamic we should have sympathy for
[22:23]people who are going through these difficulties but we need to unequivocally
[22:31]state that gender in Islam is a Divine construct that the majority
[22:36]of people are not going to suffer of gender dysphoria the majority
[22:41]of people their gender and their sex are going to be perfectly
[22:46]aligned and today it seems like there's a name for that cisgender
[22:50]I remember someone said Sheikh your cisgender well I thought they were
[22:54]insulting me I said what do you mean I'm cisgender I looked
[22:56]it up it means someone who's whose gender corresponds with his sex
[23:00]I said alhamdulillah it sounds like an illness but it's okay we'll
[23:04]accept it I don't know someone who suffers of gender dysphoria are
[23:14]they committing Haram is Allah going to punish them for the way
[23:20]that they feel remember my dear brothers and sisters there is a
[23:23]general principle that we should we should also always keep in mind
[23:26]and that is the principle of divine Justice Allah will never hold
[23:34]you accountable for something that is truly beyond your control something that
[23:39]you are not doing deliberately if someone is born and they truly
[23:43]feel that they are in the wrong body and they don't they
[23:47]do not have any control over these feelings Allah is not going
[23:50]to punish them they're not blameworthy we should sympathize with them but
[23:54]we should not pretend that this is the norm this is a
[24:01]very very rare exception the problem is gender dysphoria is treated as
[24:07]something that has become widespread it's something that's very rare and that's
[24:12]something that we have to keep in mind now one aspect of
[24:20]gender confusion or One symptom of gender confusion is what we see
[24:28]today and that is this phenomenon of cross-dressing transvestites you know believe
[24:35]it or not we actually have ahadith we have Traditions that speak
[24:42]about this concept of men imitating women and women imitating men we
[24:48]have a Hadith about this in fact when you look at the
[24:55]Islamic tradition Islam prohibits men from deliberately behaving effeminently Islam prohibits a
[25:07]man from dressing like a woman and of course this is going
[25:12]to differ from one cultural context to another Islam prohibits a woman
[25:18]from deliberately acting masculine deliberately imitating men we have a Hadith where
[25:29]have condemned this Behavior if you look at for example which is
[25:34]one of the most important collections of the legal traditions of their
[25:38]if you look at nikah the book of marriage one of the
[25:47]chapters speaks about this issue and there's an entire section that he
[25:51]calls it is the section the chapter on the prohibition of men
[26:05]deliberately being effeminate and women deliberately acting masculine imitating the opposite gender
[26:10]there's a narration there's a narration from the Hadith is the Hadith
[26:37]says that one day he saw a man in the Masjid of
[26:47]the Prophet deliberately acting effeminate and the key word here is deliberately
[26:53]there are some men they might have some feminine qualities they might
[27:00]engage maybe the way they speak is a bit feminine maybe the
[27:05]way that they walk is a bit feminine maybe they have certain
[27:07]hand gestures that are feminine if it is truly beyond their control
[27:14]this Hadith is not speaking about them this Hadith is speaking about
[27:19]the ones who are doing it intentionally and some Scholars would argue
[27:24]that even if you're not doing it intentionally make an effort to
[27:31]modify these behaviors to conduct yourself in a way that is more
[27:34]masculine it's better if you can if you can't then you're pardoned
[27:38]in this Hadith sees a man in the Masjid of the Prophet
[27:43]who is basically pretending to be a woman acting in an effeminate
[27:51]way now look at how amiral meaning responds and the way that
[27:59]Emirates response may shock you because sometimes we have this impression that
[28:05]are always very kind and very merciful and very loving yes that's
[28:12]true that's their default disposition but when something when it when an
[28:16]egregious indecency is taking place that can threaten the social fabric you
[28:25]see the firmness come out it's very dangerous when you start blurring
[28:31]the lines between what a man is and what a woman is
[28:35]it's very dangerous and we see it today say he says to
[28:41]him out of the Masjid now I'm not saying that you and
[28:50]I should go around and saying that you know the way that
[28:52]guy walks let's kick him out that's not what the Hadith is
[28:58]saying knows what he's doing he knows his Tech leave he knows
[29:01]maybe the Imam knew this person he knew that this person is
[29:06]doing it intentionally you and I should not use these are Hadith
[29:09]and weaponize them against someone who might have certain feminine qualities this
[29:13]is not what the purpose of this Hadith the intention of this
[29:18]Hadith is to demonstrate that if someone is deliberately acting effeminate condemns
[29:25]it and sees it as a threat as a danger as a
[29:31]social ill kicks them out of the message and then what does
[29:37]he say rasulullah oh the one who is among the people who
[29:42]the prophet cursed he says to those who are with him he
[29:53]says this is not just coming from he says I heard the
[30:03]messenger of Allah say what Allah [Music] says may Allah be upon
[30:16]those men who are deliberately effeminate who deliberately dress like women who
[30:23]deliberately act like women you know in the Islamic tradition I believe
[30:31]we have about 18 ahadith about maintaining a beard perhaps one of
[30:38]the wisdoms is that Allah wants to create a very clear demarcation
[30:42]between men and women so it's obvious who's a man and who's
[30:48]a woman to push each gender to the opposite side of the
[30:51]spectrum it's healthier for the society says I heard the messenger of
[31:00]Allah say may Allah's curse and be upon those men who deliberately
[31:03]imitate the behaviors of women who are deliberately effeminate and may Allah
[31:09]be upon those women who deliberately and imitate men now again this
[31:15]is going to differ from culture to culture just to give you
[31:20]a simple example imagine there is a culture where women wear dresses
[31:24]and men wear trousers just for the sake of a simple example
[31:28]in such a culture it would be Haram for a woman to
[31:38]wear trousers because in that culture that attire is strongly associated with
[31:43]the opposite gender stay within the gender norms this is emphasized and
[31:54]encouraged now there is another narration that we have this time is
[32:03]narrating an incident that took place during the lifetime of the prophets
[32:14]Amanda for those who are Whispering salawat I want to share one
[32:23]important point with you we have a Hadith that tell us to
[32:29]raise your voice in salawat from the hearts [Music] so take advantage
[32:42]of the barakah of Salah Whenever there is a invitation to recite
[32:47]do not whisper with the loudest of your voices Muhammad all right
[32:58]foreign a man came to the prophet and the Hadith says basically
[33:21]we could translate it as someone who is intentionally acting effeminate deliberately
[33:30]acting effeminate this individual said salaam to the prophet Salaam the prophet
[33:41]responded to their Salam so again from the response of the Prophet
[33:47]this indicates that yes this person is committing a sin but they're
[33:51]still Muslim we should never go around declaring this person is apostate
[33:56]or this person is outside of Islam we have to be very
[33:58]careful about we the followers that will bait unlike others we should
[34:04]be very careful about pushing someone out of Islam the prophet responded
[34:10]and do you know what the prophet did when he saw this
[34:16]man deliberately acting effeminate says Imam says I saw rasulullah go down
[34:26]into sujood he threw himself on the ground yes rasulullah went down
[34:33]into sujud and he was reciting in this sentence is usually a
[34:44]sentence that we recite when there is a prophet he goes down
[34:56]in sujud presumably reciting and then he says and perhaps others who
[35:05]are there he says um the prophet says there are people like
[35:09]this in my ummah in um the prophet was so distressed he
[35:23]says there are people like this in my ummah verily there have
[35:26]never been a group like this within an ummah except that Allah
[35:30]sent down his adab even before you shouldn't take these issues lightly
[35:36]brothers and sisters these are things that truly damage the traditional family
[35:43]if we live in a society where we cannot identify what a
[35:46]man is and what a woman is how can we have marriages
[35:50]how can we have families this is a satanic tactic to cast
[35:56]doubt and aspirations on one of the most common sense questions in
[36:01]human history so this is with recite with respect to attachable and
[36:06]vice versa now we come to the issue of intersex individuals there
[36:13]are some people my dear brothers and sisters who are born with
[36:21]certain physiological abnormalities there are some people who are again it's a
[36:27]very small percentage of the population they're born for example with unique
[36:32]chromosome types instead of XX and X Y they have x x
[36:40]y or xyy now again this is very rare and in some
[36:42]cases you have individuals who are born with male genitalia and female
[36:49]genitalia this exists these are very rare conditions there's an interesting incident
[36:55]and this is also mentioned in the narration is so this individual
[37:06]is a companion of he says I was with which is one
[37:13]of the areas in the Arabian peninsula there was a group that
[37:22]came to greet and to meet the Imam alaihi salaam did not
[37:28]recognize them they were from a distant land the narration says that
[37:31]they came from Syria they had a problem they presented their problem
[37:38]they said to him our father passed away and he left a
[37:51]fortune he left a lot of wealth what's and our father he
[38:03]left sons and daughters but one of our siblings is an intersex
[38:10]one of our siblings has both male parts and female parts female
[38:17]genitalia and male genitalia foreign that he has both organs and he
[38:34]is claiming to be male because the male gets a greater share
[38:39]insane so they said no we don't agree with him they wanted
[38:46]to categorize them as female so he gets less of The Inheritance
[38:52]he's insisting that no I'm a male Salaam Imam he says he
[39:01]says go to your fellow the Imam gives them away to put
[39:09]this person in one of the two categories doesn't say well you
[39:15]know what he's non-binary just give him you know a percentage doesn't
[39:21]say keep this person as a non-binary says when he urinates see
[39:29]where the urine comes out from if when he urinates the urine
[39:44]comes out of the male organ then he is closer to the
[39:48]male and if it doesn't and if it comes out of the
[39:51]female then he's closer to the female the point is he gives
[39:57]them a solution he doesn't just say you know what let's just
[40:02]keep it ambiguous and the narration the narration says that he he
[40:07]ended up urinating and it came out of the male organ and
[40:11]of course he received his inheritance this was probably the most distressing
[40:16]moment for the uh the brothers when they saw that it came
[40:20]out of the so the point is my dear brothers and sisters
[40:25]yes an intersex person a junta has physiological abnormalities this is something
[40:31]that's beyond their control and it's not sinful for them they're not
[40:34]committing this is something that's the way that Allah created them however
[40:38]Islamic law requires them to do what to live their lives in
[40:45]accordance with the gender that they are biologically closest to now if
[40:50]it is truly ambiguous and you cannot figure it out then such
[40:56]a person is going to have to live a life of etiat
[40:57]and it would be much easier for them to identify with a
[41:04]gender with consultation with Physicians and psychologists now sometimes the term junta
[41:11]is conflated and equated with a trans person you know a lot
[41:22]of times you have discussions about transsexuals and then you have someone
[41:25]else says but our Hadith also speak about junta my dear brothers
[41:29]and sisters there is a big difference between an intersex person a
[41:34]junta and a trans person an intersex individual is someone who has
[41:45]a physiological abnormality there might be some ambiguity regarding their sexual organs
[41:52]a trans person is very different a trans person has no physiological
[42:01]ambiguity this is someone who subjectively disassociates with their own sex it's
[42:08]very different you cannot apply the laws of Junta to someone who
[42:16]is trans now what does Islam say what to say to sustani
[42:25]because most of the Shia of the world they do say this
[42:27]what to say this sustani say about gender realignment and by the
[42:35]way brothers and sisters it's important to ask ourselves why has this
[42:38]become a trend today why is it so common I humbly believe
[42:45]and I could be wrong Allah Knows Best but I believe that
[42:50]a lot of this has to do with the fact that we
[42:55]live in an attention-based culture people feel unseen people feel like there's
[43:04]nothing unique about them they feel like their lives are meaningless and
[43:08]this is a result of living in a Godless culture they feel
[43:12]unseen they feel like no one notices them and therefore many youngsters
[43:20]what they do is to make themselves unique to make themselves stand
[43:29]out they perform these drastic procedures and I think that this speaks
[43:34]to a deeper spiritual problem the need to feel valued the need
[43:41]to feel important and this is what happens when you live in
[43:45]a secular Godless Society where people are disconnected from their creator they
[43:51]feel lost they feel like life is meaningless and this is what
[43:56]Allah says in the Quran whoever turns away from my remembrance they
[44:04]shall have a very distressing life this is what we see so
[44:11]someone poses this question to say the system and this is an
[44:18]is you can go on his website it's in Arabic but I'll
[44:21]read it and I'll translate just some excerpts of it the question
[44:24]that was posed to say the system was a the question is
[44:37]is it permissible for a person to change their gender from a
[44:42]male to a female or vice versa and say the sistani goes
[44:50]into a lengthy discussion and one of the things that say it
[44:54]is asked about he was asked if hormone treatments and surgical procedures
[45:01]actually transition a person from male to female because if someone wants
[45:10]to undergo gender reassignment they undergo they give them you know testosterone
[45:18]estrogen they perform certain surgeries say the sistani he says these surgeries
[45:22]altering the external organs does not make you the opposite gender it
[45:28]doesn't make you the opposite sex he says hormone therapy gender realignment
[45:36]surgeries you went through the surgery and it didn't result in a
[45:47]transition from an Islamic perspective because some Scholars say that the definition
[45:53]of a man and a woman is decided by the Earth does
[45:58]society really see this person as a man does society really see
[46:05]this as a woman or are people just being polite so say
[46:13]it says all of this has no effect on the reality of
[46:17]the person's identity a female does not become a male in reality
[46:27]through hormone therapy or through gender realignment challenges the possibility of even
[46:35]making this transition so what does he say he says he allows
[46:46]surgical procedures when it comes to people who have physiological abnormalities he
[46:52]says if there is some ambiguity if someone for example has both
[46:58]organs and one of them is seen as dominant he says you
[47:01]can do a surgery that brings out the more dominant so this
[47:10]is not gender realignment say the sistani is basically saying you're allowed
[47:15]to do a surgery to remove ambiguity if there is a physiological
[47:20]abnormality and then he says for those who suffer from a psychological
[47:33]condition they have a gender Christ identity crisis it's psychological this is
[47:42]someone who is biologically male physio biologically female there's nothing physiologically wrong
[47:49]with them he says someone who doesn't have any physiological abnormality says
[48:10]if it's just psychological and it's not physiological it is not permissible
[48:16]to alter your external sexual organs allowed to and I think that
[48:25]this is very wise you know brothers and sisters today kids are
[48:31]being influenced to make drastic decisions about their identity you might have
[48:37]a little girl she's seven eight years old and she's a bit
[48:40]of a tomboy she's a bit of a tomboy instead of looking
[48:45]that as a temporary phase in this little girl's life the little
[48:49]girl is told what maybe you're a guy and this girl is
[48:58]influenced into thinking persuaded into having an operation that is irreversible that
[49:07]will potentially psychologically damage her for life and of course this is
[49:14]very lucrative it's very lucrative because there's no money in telling people
[49:17]you know maybe you should wait it out right now you kind
[49:21]of feel like a boy but maybe next year you'll fit more
[49:27]comfortably into your gender maybe your gender and your sex will align
[49:32]because we go through phases no no no she needs to transition
[49:37]we have to up we have to offer gender affirming care this
[49:41]is abuse you're five six year olds I met a five-year-old who
[49:46]went undergone an operation to change their gender why the parents said
[49:51]oh because he wanted to be a girl Baba my daughter wanted
[49:56]to be a dragon you don't listen to kids honestly I don't
[50:00]mean to laugh I don't mean to make light of this situation
[50:05]but have people lost their minds your five-year-old you're sick you're 10
[50:09]year old you don't just let them do whatever they want your
[50:14]child needs can send they have to go they have to wait
[50:20]until they're 18 before they can get a driver license at the
[50:21]age of 10 they want to change their gender something that is
[50:27]irreversible and by the way the suicide rates of people who change
[50:32]their gender are very high the suicide rates are very high and
[50:37]it's not just related to bullying there's something else going on because
[50:42]even in the most accepting societies societies like San Francisco the suicide
[50:48]rates of trans people is still very high this is what you
[50:53]have this is what happens when we Tinker with Allah's creation this
[50:57]is what happens so say the sistani he says it is not
[51:03]permissible to perform these surgeries and he says what is like for
[51:12]example if someone if a biological male decides that he wants to
[51:17]be a woman and he castrates himself and he takes estrogen he
[51:22]says first of all you committed a sin by going through this
[51:26]surgery I don't give you permission this is Haram secondly even after
[51:32]this surgery you are still islamically considered a male and the laws
[51:37]of males still apply to you meaning women still have to cover
[51:42]in front of you there's not that there's not that you are
[51:46]treated as a male nothing has changed the man remains on the
[51:57]rulings there applied to man and the woman remains on the rulings
[52:01]that apply to women my dear brothers and sisters I want to
[52:05]conclude with this final notes there is and the Ayah says the
[52:20]Ayah says and let man look at his food one of the
[52:29]narrators he says I asked Imam [Music] he says I asked Imam
[52:45]al-baker what is meant by the food he gives him the esoteric
[52:51]meaning of the Ayah he says foreign it means spiritual food knowledge
[53:02]all human being don't only pay attention to your physical nourishment pay
[53:10]attention to the sources of your knowledge where are you getting your
[53:15]knowledge from are you getting it from John money are you getting
[53:20]it from Albert Kinsey is your understanding of gender coming from these
[53:24]satanic people these pedophiles or is your understanding of gender and sexuality
[53:31]coming from is it coming from Imam and Baka where is your
[53:36]knowledge coming from where is your world view coming from we have
[53:40]to wake up my dear brothers and sisters because if we don't
[53:45]wake up we are going to lose our families we're going to
[53:48]lose our communities and we're going to lose ourselves in these nights
[53:54]on the second of Muharram this is a very tragic day because
[54:04]this is the day in which arrived in the land of carbonara
[54:11]with his women with his children it was a very long journey
[54:21]from Mecca they traveled for 23 days through the deserts through the
[54:29]valleys 23 days they stopped at 38 resting stations when IBN Ziad
[54:36]received words received words received word that Hussain is moving towards kufa
[54:47]they decided to send one of their most decorated commanders to intercept
[54:53]Imam and Hussain to block Imam Al Hussain to Bar him from
[54:57]entering kufa one of the prominent Warriors of kufa with a brigade
[55:09]of a thousand men he arrives at the outskirts of kufa and
[55:15]he blocks Imam and her even though he was on the side
[55:23]of the opposition at this point he was still very respectful to
[55:27]Imam and Hussein when the army of her arrived a thousand men
[55:33]armed to the teeth seeing that Army petrified the daughters of Imam
[55:41]and Hussain the women and the children were frightened by the army
[55:45]of Imam are saying you've caused fear you've instilled fear in the
[55:55]hearts of the daughters may your mother grief for you may Allah
[56:01]punish you he says if anyone else were to speak to me
[56:11]like this I would have killed them and I would have replied
[56:13]may your mother grieve over you too but I cannot speak to
[56:19]you like this because your mother is Salaam he offered water to
[56:30]the men of her he gave water even to the horses it
[56:39]was the time of Salah Imam and Hussein he says do you
[56:46]want to lead your men in Salah or do you want to
[56:51]join us in Salah look at the humility of her these are
[56:53]probably one of the reasons why he received the tofiq of guidance
[56:58]he says it would be our honor to pray behind you you're
[57:02]the grandson of the prophet and his men they pray behind Imam
[57:08]and Hussein Allah I don't want to create any problems for you
[57:15]I have received orders that I cannot allow you to enter kufa
[57:21]and I cannot allow you to go back to Medina I am
[57:23]asking you to go find another place to camp out I'm just
[57:29]following orders he said Imam Hussain he turns to his companions and
[57:34]he says that does anyone know of a place that we can
[57:37]go to and we can camp out there was a man one
[57:42]of the companions of Imam Hussein I can take us to a
[57:49]patch of land an area that would be ideal for us to
[57:56]set can and it is close to shopping for art he takes
[58:02]Imam Hussain says take the reins of the camel that zainab is
[58:07]riding on and guide the camel of zainab and we will follow
[58:13]he takes the Reigns and he starts to recite poetry about the
[58:19]greatness of the family of rasulullah foreign [Music] foreign [Music] foreign comes
[59:22]to a halt Imam and Hussein thinking that maybe his horse is
[59:32]fatigued he changes the horse he gets on another horse the horse
[59:37]doesn't move the horse does not move an inch and this is
[59:44]where Imam al-hussein was able to read the signal he knew that
[59:50]they have arrived he asks his companions all my companions what is
[60:00]the name of this land foreign the name of this land is
[60:11]he says does it have another name another one of them says
[60:21]it is known as the bank of the Euphrates another companion the
[60:26]Imam says does it have another name I'm looking for another name
[60:29]they say ing he says is there another name for this land
[60:40]at that moment there was a Bedouin Arab traveling through the desert
[60:44]they asked him does this name have a special land have a
[60:52]special name he says yes this is the land of karbala the
[60:56]narrations he raised his hands into Allah he prays to Allah saying
[61:10]Allah o Allah I seek Refuge with you from Affliction and misfortune
[61:25]his companions he says to him oh my companions this is where
[61:39]we will suck we have arrived my beloveds this is where our
[61:48]men will be killed this is where our children will be slaughtered
[62:04]this is where our tents will be burned and then what does
[62:11]he say he says something that breaks the heart of Abbas he
[62:15]says he says this is where our women will be taken as
[62:25]captives foreign [Music] foreign
