[4:19]in the name of allah the beneficent the merciful whatever is in
[4:23]the heavens and whatever is in the earth declares the glory of
[4:26]allah the king the holy the mighty the wise he is who
[4:32]raised among the inhabitants of mecca an apostle of among themselves who
[4:37]recites it to them communications and purifies them and teaches them the
[4:43]book of wisdom although they were before certainly in clear error and
[4:49]others from among them who have not yet joined them and he
[4:52]is the mighty the wise that is allah's grace he grants it
[4:57]to whom he pleases and allah is the lord of the mighty
[5:00]grace the likeness of those who were charged with the torah then
[5:05]they did not observe it as if the likeness of the ass
[5:09]bearing book the evil is the kindness of the people who reject
[5:13]the com the communications of allah and allah does not guide the
[5:18]unjust people say oh you are who say oh you who are
[5:23]jews if you think that the people favorites of allah are the
[5:27]exclusion of other people then invoke death if you are truthful and
[5:33]they will never invoke it because what their hands have sent before
[5:37]and allah is cognizant and unjust say as for the death for
[5:43]which you flee that will surely overtake you then you shall be
[5:47]sent back to the knower of the unseen and the seen and

[7:21]tonight who has been with us for the past three nights he
[7:25]was also with us for the ten days of ashura he has
[7:28]been sharing with us much wisdom knowledge and inspiring lectures and i'm
[7:32]sure we're all taking much away from that so please welcome enlighten
[11:08]your hearts and illuminate your majalis with a loud salawat muhammad respected
[11:18]brothers and sisters we human beings tend to judge other people based
[11:29]on their actions the larger the action the more the quantity the
[11:38]more we value the action and the more we praise that person
[11:43]we usually look for the numbers how much did he donate how
[11:47]many hours did he spend how many people did she help it's
[11:53]all about the size and the quantity and the numbers but when
[11:58]we come to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and islam we find a
[12:03]completely different picture allah subhanahu wa ta'ala judges us and judges our
[12:10]actions based on the intention not on the action itself but on
[12:16]the intention that is behind the action the hadith of our prophet
[12:20]says that our actions are governed by our intentions so this hadith
[12:29]is telling us that islam doesn't look for the exterior islam doesn't
[12:35]look for the appearance the size the numbers the quantity but rather
[12:40]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala searches for the quality of your action not
[12:45]the quantity not how many but how the quality is what allah
[12:50]subhanahu wa ta'ala wants and quality is found within the intention the
[12:56]intention is what decides the quality the intention is what gives the
[13:02]value places places a price tag on your action and that's why
[13:07]you find that you may have two actions of two different people
[13:13]their actions are 100% identical in size and shape and appearance and
[13:20]quantity but there is a huge difference in quality there is a
[13:25]huge difference in how allah values them and on the contrary you
[13:30]may find that there are two people who have different actions the
[13:36]quantity is so different but they are equal in the eyes of
[13:39]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala how you find that many times you find
[13:44]two people the appearance is the same but allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
[13:48]values them in a different way the hadith of our prophet says
[13:52]that there are two people in my nation and these two people
[13:57]they pray the same salah when you look at the exterior the
[14:00]appearance of the salah it's exactly the same they pray in the
[14:03]same way they read in the same way they do the same
[14:06]amount of mustahab acts recommended acts but the prophet says that the
[14:11]distance between these two salahs is as large as the distance between
[14:18]the heavens and earth you find one of these salahs is way
[14:23]down here it's worthless and the other salah it's way up in
[14:27]the skies it's priceless even though the exterior the appearance is identical
[14:33]is the same what is making the difference in here the intention
[14:37]the intention is what what's making one of them worthless and the
[14:41]other priceless the other so great one of them the one that's
[14:46]worthless that's down here under the floor you find that this person's
[14:50]niyah may have been a niyah of riyah when he does any
[14:54]good deed he does it not for allah subhanahu wa ta'ala but
[14:58]he does it to please the people so the people see so
[15:01]the people say oh look at hajj fulan he is praying hajj
[15:04]fulan is always at the masjid she's always at the husseiniyah and
[15:09]at the lectures hajj fulan went to hajj five times everything is
[15:13]for what is not for allah it's just a show show off
[15:17]so that people recognize me so that people compliment me this is
[15:21]the driving force behind this action even though the appearance is so
[15:25]beautiful but the intention here makes the action worthless and that's why
[15:31]i see the holy quran it says allah says woe unto the
[15:37]prayers the prayers those people that pray woe unto those that pray
[15:43]why allah says woe unto those that pray those people that while
[15:51]they pray they are disconnected from allah subhanahu wa ta'ala they don't
[15:56]pay attention to their salah yes they are praying you think that
[16:00]the salah is so beautiful on the outside but in the inside
[16:04]it's empty because this salah is not for allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
[16:08]this person is doing it so other people see and unfortunately how
[16:11]many of us throughout our lives we are afflicted with this problem
[16:15]when we are praying and there is someone watching us we start
[16:18]praying so beautifully so slowly we recite tardee and tajweed but as
[16:23]soon as we find we are left alone we begin to pray
[16:26]super fast right away we finish so fast and we don't care
[16:30]it's as if that allah doesn't matter in my eyes people matter
[16:34]in my eyes more than allah they say that there was a
[16:38]man one day he went into the masjid and he saw there's
[16:42]a few people sitting so he saw it's a good opportunity to
[16:45]pray for riyah so these people see so he went and he
[16:48]started praying such a beautiful slow salah reading quran in a nice
[16:52]nice nice voice so after he was reading these people they were
[16:57]talking they noticed that this guy's voice is so beautiful his salah
[17:00]is so neat so nice so they began to talk with each
[17:05]other oh look at this guy he's such a mummir he's so
[17:07]khayr he's this and that they began to compliment him this man
[17:10]he was so happy now that finally he received his reward these
[17:13]men began to compliment him so they began to compliment him and
[17:17]praise him praise him he could not hold himself he lost patience
[17:20]he broke his salah he turned towards them he told them don't
[17:22]forget that i'm fasting too so this is unfortunately how the riyah
[17:26]affects us human beings so you find this salah is solo because
[17:30]it's not for allah subhanahu wa ta'ala even though the appearance is
[17:33]so beautiful the hadith of the of our sixth imam says that
[17:38]there are three types of people when it comes to their intention
[17:41]of ibadah with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala the first he says the
[17:45]first type of people that the imam calls they worship allah subhanahu
[17:50]wa ta'ala before be because they fear the fires of hell the
[17:56]imam calls this is the worship of he says this is the
[18:01]the worship of slaves because a slave why does he do his
[18:06]his job because he's afraid of his master if he doesn't you
[18:09]know he'll be punished so such a person he worships allah only
[18:14]because he fears the fires of hell this is a person this
[18:17]is a slave this is the worship of a slave and then
[18:19]he says there are people that worship allah because they want the
[18:24]jannah they yearn for the jannah the paradise the heavens of allah
[18:28]the imam says this is the ibadah the worship of a tujab
[18:32]this is a business deal you're like a businessman you're like a
[18:35]merchant there's no spirituality to it i give you salah allah you
[18:39]give me jannah where is the spirituality where is the sacrifice so
[18:43]this is the second intention and then the third intention the imam
[18:47]says are those that worship allah subhanahu wa ta'ala not because they
[18:52]fear the hell even though they do fear the hell not because
[18:55]they want the jannah even though they want it but that's not
[18:58]the driving force behind their worship they worship allah because the imam
[19:02]says because they saw allah deserves to be worshipped because they love
[19:09]allah that's why they worship allah it's not because i fear this
[19:13]or i want this it's because i love allah the salah of
[19:19]imam ali i can compare it to my salah the salah of
[19:23]imam zainul abideen let you see imam zainul abideen he says in
[19:27]dua abihamzat thamali he says you allah subhanahu la an atkhaltaniya naar
[19:32]subhanahu wa he says you allah i love you so much that
[19:38]if you were to throw me in the fires of hell i
[19:40]will not complain instead i will tell the people of the fires
[19:44]of hell i will tell the inmates of jahannam of my love
[19:47]to you i will just tell them how much i love allah
[19:49]so basically they're telling they're telling us that we don't worship allah
[19:52]because we're afraid of hell even if allah punishes me in the
[19:55]fire will still love him do you see this high level of
[19:59]sincerity i can compare my salah to the salah of the imam
[20:03]so it's the intention that made the salah of the imam so
[20:06]worthy in the eyes of allah that he has unconditional love towards
[20:12]allah no matter what allah does to me i will love him
[20:16]you have some people unfortunately the smallest problem that rises in his
[20:20]life he begins to complain and he begins to whine why did
[20:24]allah do this to me why me why did my family member
[20:27]die why am i losing in my business why is this sickness
[20:30]and then he begins to drift away and drift and drift like
[20:33]i mentioned in my previous lectures until sometimes it reaches the state
[20:37]of atheism some people disbelieve in allah because of their problems you
[20:42]see how opportunistic the human being can become that i worship allah
[20:47]under this condition as long as i'm happy as long as i'm
[20:50]satisfied once life gets tough i don't love allah anymore you think
[20:54]the ibadah of such a person has any worth it's the ibadah
[20:57]of ahlul bayt so this is on one side and on the
[21:02]other side you have you will notice that there are two people
[21:06]that their actions from the exterior are so different the quantity of
[21:12]each is so different but however in the eyes of allah subhanahu
[21:16]wa ta'ala they are equal or maybe even more the person that
[21:20]has done less is greater in the eyes of allah than the
[21:23]person that has done more one day a man comes to rasulullah
[21:28]he comes and he donates 100 dinars and then a second man
[21:34]comes he gives to rasulullah 10 dinars and then a third man
[21:38]comes he gives rasulullah 1 dinar after they leave the hadith says
[21:43]rasulullah looked at his companions and he told his companions these three
[21:50]people are equal in the eyes of allah they will receive the
[21:52]same reward so the the companions told him you rasulullah how one
[21:57]gave 101 gave one allah gives the same reward for 101 this
[22:03]is unfair rasulullah told them no this is fair because allah is
[22:06]giving them the reward of their intention each one intended on giving
[22:11]10% of what he had with him the first one had 1,000
[22:15]he gave 100 the second had 100 he gave 10 the third
[22:18]had 10 he gave one they all intended on giving 10% if
[22:22]the third one that gave one if he had 1,000 he would
[22:25]have given a 100 too but he did not have that money
[22:27]he did not have that wealth so allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in
[22:30]his eyes these are are all the same allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
[22:34]doesn't just look at the numbers and the quantity it's the quality
[22:38]and it's the intention that makes the difference and that's why the
[22:44]hadith of our fifth imam imam al baqir he says he says
[22:55]the the intention of a mu'am is greater than his action itself
[22:59]because he can intend on doing much more than he is capable
[23:03]of we are limited in this world by time by resources by
[23:08]obstacles and we are not always able to do good as much
[23:12]as we want how many of us during these nights we would
[23:16]have wished that we were in karbala doing ziyarah of arba'een now
[23:19]some of us had the opportunity but we didn't but some of
[23:22]us we couldn't either i can't afford it or i have work
[23:25]or i have school there's an obstacle that's preventing me but my
[23:28]intention is that i wish i was there allah will give me
[23:33]that reward because it's not my fault that i'm not able how
[23:37]many people they yearn to go to hajj but they cannot i
[23:40]know certain people brothers and sisters that live in the middle east
[23:43]that they will give tens of thousands of dollars to go to
[23:46]hajj and they will do anything they will travel the world just
[23:49]to get a visa but they can't they will kill themselves to
[23:52]get that visa three months before hajj they go namz they try
[23:56]to get the visa in the end you find they can't it's
[23:59]a blessing that we are able here brothers and sisters to go
[24:01]to hajj and that's why we should not waste any opportunity those
[24:05]people that try their best to go to hajj can't get the
[24:08]visa you think they are equal with another person that can go
[24:12]to hajj and he doesn't go because the result was same that
[24:15]guy didn't go and the other person didn't they both didn't go
[24:17]to hajj but this person tried his best his was i wish
[24:20]every year i could but i can't the other person doesn't so
[24:23]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala looks at the intention too it's not just
[24:27]the action and what we understand and what we find based on
[24:32]the ahadith is not only not only is the niyah my dear
[24:36]brothers and sisters not only will it decide decide how we will
[24:41]live in this life but even our faith how so because you
[24:45]see in the quran there are certain verses that tell us some
[24:49]people allah will punish them in jahannam forever for example the quran
[24:54]says whoever kills a mu'min that allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will punish
[25:01]certain people in the fires of hell for forever eternal damnation if
[25:04]i kill a mu'min on purpose now some people they ask this
[25:08]question isn't this unfair isn't this injustice that person lived for seventy
[25:14]years he disobeyed allah for seventy years so why is the punishment
[25:19]eternal shouldn't it match the the sin shouldn't it match the crime
[25:23]so why eternal punishment for unlimited action unlimited punishment for unlimited action
[25:28]now there are many answers to this but one answer that relates
[25:32]to our topic is mentioned by our sixth imam imam in one
[25:36]beautiful hadith he gives us the answer he says he says the
[25:50]reason why these people some people allah he will torture them in
[25:54]the fires of hell forever even though their action was limited is
[25:57]because their niyah their intention was if we live forever we will
[26:03]disobey allah for forever so their was that we will transgress and
[26:08]disobey no matter how long we live allah gave them seventy years
[26:12]if allah would have given them a hundred years they would have
[26:13]done haram hundred if allah would have for example give them ten
[26:17]thousand years they would have disobeyed allah for ten thousand years so
[26:21]allah is looking at the niyah too not just the amr and
[26:25]that's why the quran says that some people many of us maybe
[26:29]when we die what do we tell allah we begin to ask
[26:39]allah we beg him you allah please take me back to this
[26:43]dunya so that i can accumulate a few more good deeds when
[26:47]i see myself i wasted my entire life and now death has
[26:50]come so i tell allah when i am placed in my grave
[26:53]you allah please just give me one day let me pray for
[26:55]one day so i can have more good deeds because i don't
[26:58]have enough good deeds the quran just gives one word the quran
[27:02]says no allah says no but why no after that allah says
[27:10]it's only a word that he utters it's lip service if allah
[27:13]takes him back he'll go right back to his old habits that
[27:16]was just a word he won't really go he won't really go
[27:19]and do good deeds and that's why in another verse allah says
[27:24]if allah was to take these people back to this dunya they
[27:27]will go right back to their old evil habits so allah is
[27:32]looking at the what at the intention and then the imam says
[27:43]and the people that allah subhanahu wa ta'ala allah all of you
[27:47]allah who placed them in al jannah forever allah gives them jannah
[27:51]forever even though they worshipped allah twenty thirty fifty eighty years but
[27:54]allah gives them jannah forever because their niyah was however allah gives
[27:58]us how no matter how long i live i will worship allah
[28:01]so his niyah was eternal it was unlimited and thus allah gives
[28:09]him that reward for his unlimited not only does our intention govern
[28:21]our actions as we have already explained but what we find is
[28:25]our intentions sometimes they may count for us or against us even
[28:32]if our action is not there is not present how so sometimes
[28:39]allah may hold me responsible for an evil intention even if my
[28:46]action is not evil there's only an evil intention my action is
[28:50]not evil only my intention allah will hold me responsible and at
[28:54]other times allah will reward me for a good intention even though
[28:57]my action is not good how let's explain both sides we begin
[29:02]with the good deeds with the good deeds there is a concept
[29:06]that the called this concept says this that if one day someone
[29:14]comes and tells you that if you do a certain deed let's
[29:19]say if i come and tell you tonight if you pray two
[29:22]rakahs and then you recite a certain dua after it allah subhanahu
[29:26]wa ta'ala on the day of judgment he will give you a
[29:29]huge castle in that castle there are 20 rooms in every room
[29:34]there is 20 khuriyahs for example so you see wow what a
[29:38]beautiful you know reward let me do it so you go and
[29:42]you pray those two prayers the next day i come and tell
[29:44]you oh i'm sorry i forgot i made a mistake it wasn't
[29:47]tonight it was next week the hadith said you know this night
[29:51]not that night so i made a mistake or you find out
[29:55]that the hadith was wrong the narrator had made a mistake or
[29:59]that person was lying for whatever reason you find out that there
[30:02]is no such thing there is no such thing there is no
[30:05]such action anywhere the prophet never said such a thing do you
[30:09]get that reward or not now theoretically you should not because you
[30:13]didn't do what allah wants allah didn't want that from you i
[30:16]made a mistake the person that told you the hadith made a
[30:18]mistake so theoretically i should not receive the reward but we have
[30:22]many ahadees from rasulullah and from our imams that tell us if
[30:35]anyone if you read the hadith tells you do such and such
[30:39]action and you will receive such and such reward but then in
[30:42]this world on the day of judgment you find out that the
[30:45]hadith was what unauthentic the narrator made a mistake or he lied
[30:50]allah says the imam says allah will give you the reward anyway
[30:54]why is allah rewarding you for their action doesn't doesn't have any
[30:58]meaning the action allah didn't request it so why is allah rewarding
[31:03]me he's rewarding me for the intention for that spirit of what
[31:06]for that spirit of obedience because i tried my best to obey
[31:10]allah and i thought i was obeying allah it wasn't my fault
[31:13]that the hadith was false that the person lied that the person
[31:16]made a mistake and that's why our scholars when it comes to
[31:20]giving a fatwa they always have to rely on a hadith that's
[31:24]a sahih the chain of narrators each one of them has to
[31:28]be honest trustworthy as long as the fatwa is wajib or haram
[31:34]they wanna say something is wajib or something is haram the hadith
[31:38]they rely on must be authentic but if they want to give
[31:41]a fatwa of something being mustahab recommended they don't need to rely
[31:45]on an authentic hadith why because even if the hadith was not
[31:49]authentic even if the narrator turned out to be lying i will
[31:54]receive the reward anyway so the hadith doesn't have to be authentic
[31:58]because allah will give me the reward anyway even if the hadith
[32:01]was wrong so this is on the side of good deeds allah
[32:05]will give me the reward even if my deed was not good
[32:09]on the other side on the side of sins there is a
[32:13]similar concept these scholars called a tajjari a tajjari is this let's
[32:19]say someone decides to commit a sin may god forbid one day
[32:23]so he says let me go to the store and let me
[32:26]may god forbid buy alcohol and drink it so he goes to
[32:30]the store he buys a bottle of alcohol and then he comes
[32:33]home he opens it and he begins to drink it once he
[32:36]begins to drink it and swallows it he realizes this is not
[32:39]alcohol either he did not look right or maybe he was you
[32:43]know ripped off this is grape juice this is water is this
[32:49]action considered a sin or not did he commit haram or not
[32:54]if you look at his action his action is clean he drank
[32:57]water grape juice where is the haram if you just look at
[33:01]his action but if you look at his intention did he have
[33:04]an evil intention or did he not he did not only did
[33:08]he have an evil intention but he acted upon his niyah as
[33:12]well he went and he pursued and he bought and he drank
[33:15]so his niyah was evil but his action was clean so is
[33:19]this haram or not now this is an area disagreement between the
[33:23]scholars but you will find many scholars they will say that this
[33:26]is a sin this person has committed a sin even though his
[33:30]action is clean he drank water but because of that spirit of
[33:33]what of audacity that he tried to defy allah he had the
[33:37]guts to defy allah and he thought he was disobeying allah it
[33:40]turned out to be that you know it's not a sin so
[33:44]many scholars say this is a sin where is the sin it's
[33:47]in the niyya it's in the intention another example they give let's
[33:51]say someone comes and asks you you know i i want some
[33:55]money i need some help a beggar says can you please help
[33:57]me you know this happens mainly when we go travel to the
[34:00]middle east so many people they don't wanna you know they don't
[34:04]wanna tell that beggar no so what do they say they say
[34:07]oh i'm not carrying money with me and they're lying he has
[34:09]money he says i'm not carrying money sometimes when the beggar leaves
[34:13]you put your hands in your pockets you say wait a minute
[34:15]my wallet isn't here you really don't have money but when you
[34:17]said i don't have money you thought you did have money only
[34:20]later you find out no you really don't have money so did
[34:24]you lie or did you not lie your act your action no
[34:28]but your intention says yes so many scholars consider this a sin
[34:32]because your intention was to disobey allah and you acted upon that
[34:36]intention so the intention by itself counts for me or against me
[34:41]and then finally we find that our intentions can act can go
[34:49]for us or against us not just in the next life but
[34:53]sometimes even in this world even in this life sometimes a good
[34:57]intention could bring me a reward in this life sometimes and an
[35:03]evil intention god may punish me for it in this world not
[35:07]the next life and i'll give you two stories to illustrate the
[35:11]first story with the sins and i'll mention a story that's mentioned
[35:14]in the quran allah subhanahu wa ta'ala he mentions the story of
[35:19]ashab al jannah in surah al qalam allah says and the story
[35:28]of is this that there was a man a very wealthy man
[35:31]that lived before islam in yemen he was very wealthy he used
[35:36]to own acres upon acres of land and on those lands he
[35:40]had farms and orchards thousands of trees of vegetables and fruits very
[35:46]very wealthy millionaire but this man was very generous every time when
[35:52]it was the season to take down the you know to pick
[35:55]the the crops and the fruits to pick the fruits and vegetables
[35:59]he would only take an amount that is sufficient for his for
[36:03]him and and his family to live on and all the rest
[36:07]instead of saving gas so many people they have billions or millions
[36:09]or hundreds of thousands saved in their account that saving he would
[36:13]give it all to the poor people so he was a very
[36:17]generous man the people of that city the poor people they used
[36:20]to love him they knew every you know when spring and summer
[36:22]comes we go every day we get free fruit fruits and vegetables
[36:27]so this father dies one year he has five sons they inherit
[36:32]all these lands these orchards and farms so these five sons unfortunately
[36:38]they were not as generous as the father before the you know
[36:43]the spring season one year they sit together and they say you
[36:47]know what our father all these millions he's been giving it away
[36:50]let's save it let's save it and we can you know live
[36:53]better lives we could become wealthier richer have bigger homes and so
[36:57]on and so forth so why give it to the poor let's
[36:59]spend it on ourselves and you see subhanallah how the devil is
[37:05]able to fool us that we forget that maybe it didn't occur
[37:10]to these five sons that it maybe it was because of this
[37:14]honorable act this general this generous act that allah had blessed their
[37:20]business generation after generation their business was very successful maybe it was
[37:25]because of that generous act allah had blessed their business but did
[37:29]they think in that way no it's always me it's always my
[37:32]power it's always my hard work it's not allah so we see
[37:36]the shaitaan how clever he is to fool them the hadith says
[37:39]that the shaitaan the devil he told our prophet nukh he told
[37:42]prophet nukh one day that i will always come to whisper in
[37:46]your mind to whisper to you in three times the first time
[37:51]when you are angry whenever we are angry the shaitan the devil
[37:55]quickly comes to us and he begins to whisper do haram hit
[38:00]do this do that why because when we are angry we begin
[38:03]to lose our you know judgment and we lose control and we
[38:07]do so many things that we regret later so the shaita and
[38:10]the devil he sees this is a loophole this guy is crazy
[38:13]he's angry now let me go tell him do this and that
[38:15]and then that's why many times we regret it after so when
[38:18]we are angry the devil tells the shaitan tells nu i will
[38:22]come to you when you are angry because this is a good
[38:24]opportunity to penetrate the human being and whisper the second time that
[38:28]i will always come and be with the human being whisper to
[38:32]him is when a man and woman who are not related they
[38:37]are alone in one room the shaitan says anytime there is a
[38:40]man and woman alone in one room automatically the devil is the
[38:44]third person why because once they're alone in a closed room there
[38:48]is room for what for haram there is room for lust for
[38:51]the desire and the shaitan begins the devil begins to what begins
[38:55]to fool us and lure us do the haramak even though we
[38:58]say it's innocent this is a professional setting but how many professional
[39:03]settings ended in haram throughout history so this is the second time
[39:07]that the shaitan is always with the human being and that's why
[39:10]it's haram brothers and sisters all the states it is haram for
[39:13]a man and a woman who are not related to be in
[39:16]a closed room in a closed room where there's no door open
[39:20]because this will leave a door open to the shaitan so i
[39:24]always have to make sure the door is open or there's a
[39:26]third person so this is the second time the devil is always
[39:30]with a human being and the third time this the devil tells
[39:35]nuh i'm always with a human being when the human being wants
[39:38]to donate for the cause of allah anytime my friends we decide
[39:42]we want to donate for the cause of allah give charity help
[39:45]a person help an islamic institution build something for the poor whatever
[39:50]when i want to pay charity the shaytan automatically comes right away
[39:54]and he begins to discourage me don't give you're gonna become poor
[39:57]your money is gonna decrease this that he begins to what discourage
[40:01]me so that i don't give any of my money and unfortunately
[40:06]you know this is the devil unfortunately sometimes we have human beings
[40:10]who are they do the actions of the devil we don't need
[40:12]the devil human beings that discourage others to to give how many
[40:18]stories i have heard that woman they want to donate for a
[40:21]cause but the husband he keeps on telling her no the husband
[40:24]tells her why do you want to give for this cause give
[40:26]the money to me let's spend it on the family he discourages
[40:29]and discourages and discourages the wife it's her own money from giving
[40:34]for that good cause and on the contrary there are so many
[40:37]women so many women that discourage their husbands from giving for the
[40:41]sake of allah they begin to whine and complain and they begin
[40:46]to say you know we need the money i need let's do
[40:48]a vacation and so on and so forth they say that there
[40:51]was a man he was attending a a lecture at a fundraising
[40:56]event and the speaker he was you know the scholar he was
[41:00]saying give for the cause of allah and he was reading the
[41:03]hadith and then he said this he said don't say i'll give
[41:07]tomorrow because once you go home he said that the devil will
[41:11]send you 70 smaller devils just to discourage you from giving for
[41:15]the cause of allah so don't say tomorrow you're gonna be discouraged
[41:18]by tomorrow if you wanna do something good do it now don't
[41:21]say tomorrow tomorrow never comes so this guy didn't donate he went
[41:25]home once he went home he saw his wife what do you
[41:28]wanna do he said yeah i want i want to the fundraiser
[41:30]tomorrow inshaallah i'm gonna donate this amount so she began to say
[41:34]what come on you promised the huge tv you promised the vacation
[41:37]the gold the diamond this this she began to whine and complain
[41:40]and discourage him of giving for the cause of allah so anyway
[41:46]the next day he goes back to the the you know the
[41:49]center and his friend one of his friends he says what happened
[41:53]are you gonna donate are you not gonna donate what happened he
[41:56]said remember the speaker yesterday he said 70 devils he said yes
[42:00]he said oh the 70 devils came to you i said i
[42:02]don't know about those 70 devils but i think the mother of
[42:05]those 70 devils was sent to me and that's why he never
[42:08]gave so this is the third time the shaitan comes to us
[42:11]so back to the story of so these five sons they said
[42:15]let's not give the the all this you know all these foods
[42:18]and wealth to the poor no except one of them one of
[42:23]the five he said you know what he objected he said you
[42:26]know what let's continue this good act of my of my father
[42:29]and let's give to the poor we have so much money so
[42:32]let's take what we need and we will leave the rest of
[42:34]the poor so the other five the four brothers they threatened this
[42:38]brother if you want to object we might kill you we won't
[42:41]give you anything we'll deny you of your right so he not
[42:44]able to do anything so the quran says that they made this
[42:48]evil intention that tomorrow we will go we will take all the
[42:53]you know the the the servants with us whoever is you know
[42:56]the workers that are in charge of taking down the fruits and
[42:59]we will close down this place and we'll put aside that you
[43:03]know what sorry no more free food for the poor people the
[43:06]quran says they just made that intention they haven't done anything yet
[43:11]they just made that intention they just said we will do that
[43:13]they went to sleep they slept the next morning they woke up
[43:17]they went the quran says sneaking so that no one finds out
[43:20]of their of their evil plot they once they opened the gates
[43:24]of their orchards and farms the quran says they found that everything
[43:28]was in ashes all these acres tens of acres of fruits and
[43:33]orchards and farms all gone evaporated in ashes the quran says allah
[43:45]sent a fire and destroyed all these acres so allah punished them
[43:50]they just made that evil intention allah said i'll i'll take allah
[43:54]told them i'll take all my benefactions away from you and allah
[43:58]mentions even though this is an old story allah mentions in the
[44:01]holy quran maybe he's trying to send us a message if you
[44:04]have a good habit do not change that good habit if it's
[44:07]a habit of your father or your grandparents or it's your habit
[44:10]do not change that habit because maybe it's because of this habit
[44:14]this good habit that you have that allah has blessed you and
[44:17]your life so this is the evil sins the evil deeds that
[44:21]one evil intention can what can prevent me from attaining the benefactions
[44:28]of allah in this world and then on the other hand we
[44:31]have certain times where a good intention allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will
[44:38]reward me for it in this world before the next life and
[44:42]i'll also demonstrate with a story muhammadu alai muhammad about two or
[44:53]three hundred years ago there was a young man walking besides a
[44:57]river one day he's walking besides the river all alone and then
[45:01]he comes across an orchard a farm that has apple trees in
[45:07]it so he sees some of the trees they're sticking out of
[45:11]the wall so they're over the road he's hungry he sees apples
[45:16]he takes one apple and he eats it after he eats the
[45:21]apple this young man he begins to think wait a minute how
[45:25]did i just pick an apple and eat it this is private
[45:27]property this apple belonged to some person so how did i just
[45:31]eat someone's you know someone someone someone's food this is haram he
[45:35]was a very pious young man so he began to rebuke himself
[45:39]he felt he felt so bad just over an apple you see
[45:42]how pious he is so he began to say what will i
[45:45]do he said let me go inside that orchard let me look
[45:48]for the house let me tell the owner and it's a huge
[45:50]orchard there's thousands of apples of course it'll be a you know
[45:53]one minute thing so he goes inside the orchard he sees a
[45:58]small house he knocks the door he sees an old man comes
[46:02]out the old man comes out he says what do you want
[46:05]he's an old grumpy man he tells him you know what i
[46:08]was walking i was hungry i ate an apple i want you
[46:11]to forgive me so obviously i mean wouldn't forgive but this old
[46:15]man he was so grumpy and greedy he told him how dare
[46:19]you eat from my apple tree you ate from my apple tree
[46:23]may allah burn you in the fires of hell for that this
[46:26]is what he says so this young man he's surprised how stingy
[46:31]how greedy how rude this man is just over an apple you
[46:34]want allah to bring me in the faiza valley he says okay
[46:36]okay calm down how much is the apple worth 50¢ $1 whatever
[46:40]he takes out money he wants to give him the old man
[46:43]tells him look i don't want your money keep your money for
[46:46]yourselves he says what do you want he says i want i
[46:47]want to burn you in the fiz of hell that's the only
[46:49]thing so this young man he says you know what leave this
[46:52]guy he's crazy i've done my job he leaves after he leaves
[46:56]he begins to think once again you see that inner nafs that
[47:01]we have the conscience that allah has placed that rebukes me and
[47:05]scolds me when i do something that says haram and he begins
[47:09]to tell himself even though that guy was stingy and grumpy but
[47:12]at the end of the day it was my fault i was
[47:14]the one that intruded i was the one that ate from his
[47:17]property and i was the one that put myself in that situation
[47:22]so it's my fault i have to satisfy that man so he
[47:25]comes back he goes back to that old man and he tells
[47:29]him look old man i'm sorry i want you to forgive me
[47:33]ask anything and i will do it anything whatever you ask me
[47:37]to do i will do just as long as you're pleased i
[47:40]don't want on the day of judgment that you hold me allah
[47:43]holds me responsible for you know lousy apples so please tell me
[47:48]ask me whatever you want and i will give you so this
[47:52]old man he begins to think he says well if you are
[47:55]willing to do anything there is one thing if you do this
[47:59]one thing i will forgive you he says what is it he
[48:02]says i want you to marry my daughter if you marry my
[48:07]daughter halal i will forgive you i'll forget about that apple he
[48:11]says marry your daughter just over an apple so he says the
[48:14]scenario is getting worse and worse so he thinks about it while
[48:19]he's thinking but he tells him look there is a catch to
[48:22]this don't think that this is normal marriage he says why he
[48:25]says i have to tell you a few things about my daughter
[48:27]number one my daughter is deaf she can't hear number two she's
[48:33]dumb she can't speak number three she's blind she can't see and
[48:38]number four she is paralyzed head to toe so basically she's she's
[48:43]almost dead she can't see she can't hear she can't speak she
[48:48]can't move she what's the point of marrying such a woman so
[48:51]this young man sees this is so ridiculous i have to marry
[48:55]once again he begins to you know go in that inner jihad
[48:58]that inner struggle should i should i not at the end of
[49:01]the day you see how god fearing this young man was he
[49:05]was truly willing to do anything just to please that man over
[49:07]just an apple so at the end he says okay fine i
[49:12]accept he didn't he wasn't happy but he said as long as
[49:15]allah is happy as long as he's satisfied he forgives me fine
[49:18]so this man all of sudden he was so grumpy all of
[49:21]a sudden he the the you know the frown turned into a
[49:24]smile and he started laughing so he said okay come next week
[49:29]and we will have the you know the katsbiktaab the marriage and
[49:31]so on and so so this young man he goes he is
[49:34]so sad that you know he was he he has to go
[49:37]through all of this just to please this man he comes the
[49:40]next week he comes the next week for the wedding he comes
[49:44]but he's not happy he has his head down he's so sad
[49:46]he just wants to get it over with he sees that old
[49:48]man he's so happy he's shining he's so bright so they do
[49:53]the the wedding the marriage and then after that he hasn't seen
[49:56]his wife yet they do the you know the ketzbektaab the marriage
[50:01]and then after that the old man he takes the hand of
[50:04]his new son-in-law and then he goes besides the door he says
[50:08]open that door and you will see your beautiful wife he says
[50:11]yes i'm sure beautiful he says i don't even wanna see her
[50:14]please i don't there's nothing to look forward to so he says
[50:17]no go and see her so the young man he says okay
[50:21]fine he opens the door as he enters he notices in front
[50:26]of him there is a beautiful woman that's standing she's not paralyzed
[50:31]there's nothing wrong with her and she's very beautiful so as soon
[50:35]as he sees her he thinks to himself this can't be her
[50:38]she's not wearing hijab so right away he gets out he comes
[50:41]out running to the old man he tells him what's going on
[50:44]who's that woman there's a you know there's another woman in there
[50:47]where is my wife he tells him that's her he says the
[50:49]one that's standing with this and this you know with these features
[50:52]says yes that's her he says but wait a minute she's not
[50:55]paralyzed she could see she looks fine so what did you mean
[50:59]he tells him come sit son i have to explain he turns
[51:01]out to be a wise event too so he sits him down
[51:04]and he tells him look when i told when i told you
[51:10]that my daughter is paralyzed what i meant is she i meant
[51:16]it in a symbolic way i meant it that she had never
[51:20]ever committed any haram with her body parts so in that way
[51:25]her body is paralyzed from haram when i told you that she
[51:30]cannot speak what i meant is she had never spoken anything that
[51:34]is haram never backbites never lies never cheats so in that way
[51:40]she's what she never speaks when i told you she never hears
[51:44]she's deaf it's because she has never used her ears to hear
[51:47]anything that is haram and when i told you that she is
[51:50]blind because she had never ever used her eyes to see anything
[51:55]that says haram so that's what i meant he said so why
[51:58]didn't you just tell me why did you put it in this
[52:00]way he said look because my daughter is very beautiful but she's
[52:04]also very pious she's very pious and i don't want someone to
[52:10]marry my daughter just because of her beauty i want someone that
[52:14]has equal akhla that has equal iman equal faith when i saw
[52:19]you you are so pious that you are willing to do anything
[52:22]just to please me for an apple i knew that you were
[52:26]the right one for my daughter i knew that you have to
[52:28]marry my daughter but that's why i told you in a riddle
[52:32]you know i said she's paralyzed and this and that because i
[52:34]wanted to see if i give you these characteristics are you still
[52:37]willing to marry her i saw yes i saw you accepted so
[52:41]i knew that you were the right one you're a god fearing
[52:44]man now this young man he took his wife and you know
[52:48]as the story goes they lived happily ever after that apple which
[52:52]was halal out of halal he managed to make it halal in
[52:55]the end that apple turned into energy and then a child was
[53:00]conceived and that child grew up to be one of the greatest
[53:04]of the school of thoughts of by the name of al muqaddas
[53:08]al al al dabili al muqaddas al al dabili maybe he lived
[53:10]three hundred years ago one of the greatest scholars not only was
[53:14]he knowledgeable but they say he was very pious one of the
[53:18]most pious scholars that it's narrated it's it's you know mentioned in
[53:22]his biography that he had performed every mustahab in the books every
[53:27]mustahab you know recommended salah every recommended salah every recommended amal he
[53:33]had done it every recommended amal he had done it and he
[53:37]was very very pious obviously you have such a father who is
[53:41]so pious who is willing to go to the fullest extent just
[53:46]to please allah obviously he will have a pious son obviously it's
[53:52]it's you know it's common sense and and this shows us brothers
[53:57]and sisters how important food feeding our children halal food i have
[54:02]to make sure the food that i'm giving them is halal meaning
[54:05]the meat so it has to be killed by a muslim i
[54:08]have to make sure that the money that i use to buy
[54:11]that food is halal money i did not get that money through
[54:15]haram through cheating and lying and through deceiving other people and stealing
[54:20]and selling haram act as haram things i have to make sure
[54:24]that the food that i feed my children's haram because if i
[54:27]feed them haram food obviously if i see my children are misguided
[54:32]i should not be i should not be surprised so this is
[54:36]how important the intention is and this is the effect and the
[54:40]result of the of the good intention and there is a story
[54:45]and this story is one of the most remarkable stories about how
[54:49]important the intention is and this is the story of jabir abdullah
[54:54]al ansari that i mentioned two nights ago when he visited the
[54:58]grave of imam hussain on the day of arba'een on the fortieth
[55:03]day after imam hussain was killed remember we mentioned two nights ago
[55:08]that jabir abdullah al swari was the first person to visit the
[55:12]grave of abba abdullah when he arrived and he started to speak
[55:16]with the imam hussein and do the ziyarah and then he said
[55:20]assalam studee shuhada he said these remarkable words he says he said
[55:32]i swear by the lord that sent muhammad as a messenger i
[55:35]swear by allah that i jabir abdullah al ansari i am amongst
[55:40]you martyrs of carmelah i am amongst the martyrs of carmelah it's
[55:44]as if i'm a shahid in karbala and that he said i
[55:47]will receive the reward that you received so atiyah his servant when
[55:51]he heard that he told them you jabbar how can you claim
[55:54]that you are not one of the shuhada of karbala these people
[55:57]they once they fought they defended aba abdullah they were killed and
[56:01]their heads were decapitated nothing happened to you we did not fight
[56:04]so how can you say i am amongst the shuhada of carmela
[56:07]and i will receive the rewards the reward of that of theirs
[56:12]look at jabir what he says jabir says no i am amongst
[56:15]them why he says whoever jabir says i heard rasulullah say that
[56:30]whoever loves a person or a group allah will revive that person
[56:35]with that group and then he said i love abba abdullah and
[56:39]i love his companions and then he says and then he said
[56:46]my intention is with imam hussein my intention is with the intention
[56:52]and the action of the companions of imam hussein basically he's saying
[56:56]my intention is that i wanted to fight for hussein i wish
[57:01]i was there but i couldn't he was an old mind man
[57:03]he was not able but his intention was that if i was
[57:06]able to fight for abba abdullah i would never hesitate jagan abdullah
[57:11]says this how many years fourteen hundred years ago he narrates this
[57:14]from rasulullah and that's why we till this day fourteen hundred years
[57:18]later we were not there in karbala we were not there that
[57:21]when imam hussain once and he said when imam hussain said is
[57:29]there anyone that will protect me is there anyone that will save
[57:33]me is there anyone that wants to defend the family of rasulullah
[57:36]we were not there we tell him you hussain in the the
[57:39]ziyara we read i was not there when you said is there
[57:51]anyone to help me i was not physically there but now my
[57:54]intention is with you i love the martyrdom that you and the
[57:58]sacrifice that you made on the day of ashura and i hope
[58:01]allah gives me the same reward and that's why we always say
[58:05]we wish we were with you you abba abdullah just in make
[58:12]this intention the hadith says allah will give you the reward of
[58:16]the shuhada of karbala we mentioned yesterday what happened to the family
[58:23]of rasulullah after they arrived to medina after they left karbala they
[58:27]went to kufa and then sham and then they went to karbala
[58:30]on the arbain they did the ziyara and then finally they came
[58:34]back to the city of al medina to the city of rasulullah
[58:37]we mentioned it was such a depressing city now because it was
[58:40]void of abba abdullah imam hussein was no longer there and the
[58:45]narrations history tells us that the woman of rasulullah the woman of
[58:48]imam hussein of bani hashem for five years they had nonstop time
[58:55]of mourning they lamented and mourned imam hussein they would wear black
[58:59]the whole time for five years and they would never wear any
[59:03]jewelry no celebrations held it was a time of mourning until ibn
[59:08]ziyad was killed five years after that only then they were able
[59:11]to rejoice or else for five years all they would do was
[59:15]shed their tears for abba abdullah al hussein and the martyrs of
[59:19]karbala this is how the women were umul baneen the mother of
[59:24]abu fadlil abbas they used to say she used to always go
[59:27]to the graveyard and she would make five lumps in the graveyard
[59:31]with the sands four lumps in in the sands it's as if
[59:35]each one of the lumps represented the grave a symbolic grave of
[59:39]her children because she had four children that were all killed on
[59:43]the day of ashura so she would make four lumps each one
[59:46]is the grave of her son and she would cry over the
[59:49]over these lumps over the graves of her children of her sons
[59:53]and then they say she would remove all these lumps and she
[59:56]would say all my sons are a sacrifice for hussein as long
[60:00]as they were killed for hussein then i am happy may all
[60:04]my sons be sacrificed for abba this is how al baneen lived
[60:10]the the remainder of her life and as for arabab arabab's story
[60:15]is so sad they say that arabab the wife of imam hussein
[60:18]the mother of abdullah after she went to karbala she went inside
[60:24]her house and she ordered some people to come and remove the
[60:27]ceiling to to come and remove the roof she was asked why
[60:31]are you doing that she said because i saw imam hussein i
[60:36]saw him he was laying on the sands of karbala and the
[60:39]sun was burning him so she says how can i sit under
[60:43]the shade when abba abdullah al hussein the sun was burning him
[60:47]i will never ever never ever sit under the shade i will
[60:51]always sit under the sun and that's why one day it's narrated
[60:55]imam zainul abideen he brought someone in his house as he was
[60:59]passing by the living room he saw a woman she was sitting
[61:03]under the sun what he thought was this was a slave and
[61:06]she was being punished that she had to sit under the sun
[61:09]so he told imam please if she is a slave and you're
[61:12]punishing her please forgive her let her sit under the shade imam
[61:16]told him no this is not a slave this is imam hussein's
[61:20]wife this is arabab and she swore that she will never ever
[61:23]sit under the sun because of what happened to imam hussein and
[61:29]as for imam zainul abideen himself the hadith tell us for the
[61:34]remainder of his life he used to cry every day for abba
[61:38]abdullah for his father every time he was given water every time
[61:43]he was given food he used to say how can i drink
[61:46]when abu abdullah died thirsty how can i eat when my father
[61:50]hussein was killed thirsty he would cry every single day for imam
[61:55]one day imam zayn al abideen as he was walking in the
[62:06]streets he saw and and he was saying oh man please help
[62:15]me oh man i am lonely oh man oh people i have
[62:20]been abandoned by you so please help me he was a beggar
[62:24]he began to say i am gharib i am lonely i have
[62:26]been abandoned when imam zainul heard that he came to that man
[62:32]he told him oh man i ask you you say i am
[62:35]gharib i am lonely and have been abandoned but i ask you
[62:37]this question if you were to die will you be left without
[62:43]any burial or will the people bury you he told them no
[62:46]of course i'm not lonely to that extent the people will bury
[62:49]me the muslims won't leave me imam zainul abideen turns towards karbala
[62:55]and he began to cry he said my dear father hosayyah as
[63:04]for you they left you for three days without any burial no
[63:08]one came to bury imam hussain they left him in the lands
[63:14]of karbala until imam zainul abidin himself came three days later and
[63:19]he buried his father thank you sayidna inshallah we'll conclude with one
[65:03]last thing we're honored tonight to have our dear sister fawkin nesjid
[65:06]who will be reciting poetry you can please help me welcome her
[65:09]with the this poem is entitled two parallels some of you may
[65:40]have heard it before but regardless i think we can take something
[65:43]new from it it's written in the perspective of the heavens and
[65:46]the earth the heavens are begging imam hussein to leave the earth
[65:51]and come to its gate whereas the earth is begging imam hussain
[65:54]to stay on its surface so it's written in their perspective now
[65:57]i do allude to a poem from hafiz and where he says
[66:02]even after all of this time the sun never says to the
[66:05]earth you owe me look what happens with a love like that
[66:08]it lights the whole sky now with that said can i please
[66:11]ask for allah muhammad muhammad being the holder of the eyes that
[66:21]only weep for hussein gave me the ears to hear the heavens
[66:24]and the earth call out his name being the holder of the
[66:28]eyes that only weep for hussein gave me the ears to hear
[66:31]the heavens and the earth call out his name his body is
[66:33]here and the earth is thankful for the remnant but on the
[66:36]day that someone somewhere knew that he was going to fall the
[66:39]heavens and the earth had their first war and we hear its
[66:42]missiles echo the kisses the earth showered him with and the warmth
[66:45]the heaven sent him don't leave me with just your body it'll
[66:49]be broken and with no hussein third says don't leave me with
[66:54]just your body it'll be broken and with no hussein come to
[66:57]me when you'll have abbas and all those who came to you
[67:00]proud understand my grief that when you die it can't be consoled
[67:04]by the thought of my mentality i'll die when everything dies and
[67:08]so i still have many losses to hold i have created for
[67:12]you gardens upon gardens and so no one dared to come and
[67:15]sit inside tell me hussein how will i lose your children ahead
[67:19]without you you're the one who walked upon me gently and so
[67:22]i quiver when others walk upon me hussein i have your mother
[67:25]wailing asking for you won't you bring her peace and die for
[67:28]justice won't your head come forward avenging her rib i don't want
[67:32]you to suffer i just want you in my reach now i
[67:36]know i'm simply the earth and imperishable but hussein if you leave
[67:39]me i know i won't know how to come down hussein if
[67:42]you leave me i won't know how to come down i'd be
[67:44]like the lion that roars but is never hushed unless be it
[67:47]by you i'm calling with all the angels to have you near
[67:50]we know what's to come we don't want to watch but we
[67:53]don't want it to be prolonged hussein just enter each angel each
[67:56]level and hati must call there it says hussein there isn't a
[68:01]thing that doesn't know your faith yet we all stand in shock
[68:05]when you leave as if clueless hussein there isn't a thing that
[68:09]doesn't know your faith but yet we all stand in shock when
[68:12]you leave as if clueless and the dirt you walk upon how
[68:15]great a blessing it has been i've been serving you the best
[68:18]i can for whatever you needed me to be i thank god
[68:21]for each moment for having you be upon me and as the
[68:24]heavens i am as the heavens i am i am pure as
[68:29]hussain the grandson of the prophet you are you are pure tell
[68:33]me why aren't we together as the heavens i am i am
[68:37]pure hussain as the grandson of the prophet you are you are
[68:40]pure why aren't we together i know they are throwing around bloodshed
[68:44]and i know you can't stay with me much longer but hussain
[68:47]i need your words to keep me from dying i need you
[68:51]in your body and not away from it seven levels of me
[68:55]yearn for you and when you hit wave on level one i
[68:58]await all seven to bend backwards and on hussein i can't wait
[69:02]for that flexibility forget this son forget this son hussein i need
[69:07]you we're attached the sun in the sky didn't tell me that
[69:10]i owe her not because we're in love but because we both
[69:13]owe you forget this son hussein i need you we're attached the
[69:17]sun in the sky doesn't tell me that i owe her not
[69:20]because that we're in love but because we both owe you being
[69:24]where i am i could see it all the heaven says being
[69:28]where i am i could see it all hussein i can see
[69:30]that our words have disturbed you they tugged you back and forth
[69:33]from life and death but don't we all know that this will
[69:36]all end in moments to come hussein i hear shimmer walking closer
[69:41]to you in my own dust weeps i hate carrying him forgive
[69:46]me for the firm ground i held i just didn't want you
[69:49]to shake with a broken back hussein i hear shimmer walking closer
[69:52]to you and on my own dust weeps i hate carrying him
[69:55]forgive me for the firm ground i held i just didn't want
[69:58]you to shake with a broken back the pain will subside and
[70:01]the voice that you hear is your mother's ali is waiting for
[70:04]your face to smile because right now right now all he feels
[70:07]is your pain your pain is left here with us and is
[70:12]buried in me your body has no you but i die if
[70:15]i couldn't be the one to hold it your body has no
[70:17]you but i die if i couldn't be the one to hold
[70:20]it you leave me with just your body and it's not even
[70:23]you leave me with just your body and and it's not even
[70:25]whole but how thankful am i to host yearly gatherings at your
[70:28]shrine how thankful am i to hold all of these lovers gatherings
[70:32]to you how thankful am i to hear them answer your call
[70:35]years later hussein all of these things are sweet but they all
[70:39]but they all stem from grief hussein all of these things are
