A Fabricated Report: The Hadith of the Thread | Shaykh Ibrahim Jawad
This video is a critical study of a ḥadīth that is famously known as "Ḥadīth al-Khayṭ", it is a tradition that depicts Imam Muḥammad al-Bāqir (upon him be peace) conducting a miracle wherein he takes a thread and proceeds to wiggle it, resulting in an earthquake that kills a tremendous number of people in Medina. The lecturer in this video, Shaykh Ibrahim Jawad proceeds to outline the numerous issues that this ḥadīth possesses, in addition to providing information about the doctrines of Nuṣayriyya and the Ghulāt in the process of doing so.

Shaykh Ibrahim Jawad is a scholar from Palestine, who is based in the religious seminary of Qom. He specialises in the editing and publishing of manuscripts, in addition to writing several articles on matters to do with doctrine, history, ḥadīth, manuscripts and other areas, primarily in the Arabic language.
