[0:00]in al-hamdu lillahi rabbil alameen wa sallahu assalamu - ROFL MBI you
[0:08]will Celine Habib Allah al al-amin belgacem and Mustafa Muhammad wada elevator
[0:12]maybe not ah heen and levena adebolajo marritza with a Haram Tutera
[0:17]respected brothers and sisters assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh we began the discussion
[0:27]on the laws of fasting and we covered the legislation of fasting
[0:32]in the history of fasting how it became obligatory upon the Muslims
[0:36]and the philosophy of fasting and who is a obligatory upon now
[0:45]we will continue on with the month of Ramadan this is a
[0:49]big issue how does the month of Ramadan begin and how does
[0:56]the any Islamic month begin because the end of Ramadan is also
[1:00]an issue when we when we try to determine eve of course
[1:05]this is a controversial issue somewhat because different scholars have different views
[1:10]these views are the views of Ayatollah Sistani of course there are
[1:18]other scholars that have other views regarding the proving how the holy
[1:25]month begins how an Islamic month begin because in the Islamic teachings
[1:31]and the Islamic laws the months are lunar months and it begins
[1:36]with the beginning in the birth of a new month and that's
[1:42]when you're able to see the Crescent rasul allah mohamet says some
[1:47]Luria western auroria fast when you sight and break the fast when
[1:52]you cite the hill on so scholars say that you if you
[1:58]see the crescent of ramadan yourself you see it yourself then it
[2:04]becomes obligatory upon you to fast the next day or two just
[2:12]witnesses see the Crescent there should be no reason to believe that
[2:15]they are mistaken so for example you have a group of 300
[2:21]a group of 500 people they all go out searching for the
[2:23]hill on and only to come back and they say we saw
[2:28]it and they have to describe how it was the shape of
[2:33]it which direction it was this is all something that they all
[2:37]need to you the view needs to be the same and if
[2:42]500 or 300 people go out and just to come back then
[2:48]this shows us that maybe there's a big chance that they are
[2:51]mistaken but for example say 150 people came back that's 50% or
[2:54]say 200 people 250 people came back and they said we saw
[3:00]they're not then that would make it more likely to be accepted
[3:02]and here this is usually the mother makes the decision people that
[3:07]have seen the hell out they go to the scholars and they
[3:09]tell them we saw it this this many people saw the Helen
[3:14]and therefore the manager would say ok it was cited it was
[3:16]cited in this particular area another way as if 30 days have
[3:23]passed and shabaan the islamic months are either 29 days or 30
[3:26]days we don't have a month that is longer than 30 days
[3:32]so if the month of Shaban is already 30 days then this
[3:34]is what we call as a command leg demeaning that we cannot
[3:39]add another another day to the month of Shaban so therefore that
[3:43]31st day is actually the first day of the month of ramadhan
[3:50]and the same goes with the end of ramadan so we have
[3:51]Ramadan is either 29 days or 30 days it can't be 31
[3:56]days so that 31st day it would actually be the day of
[4:01]Eid the first of Juwan another way is if it becomes widely
[4:04]accepted in your city by people that the month of Ramadan has
[4:08]begun so you go to a city you didn't look at the
[4:13]Hylian you didn't talk to anyone you just woke up the next
[4:16]day and everyone's telling you yes today is the first day of
[4:18]Ramadan or the eve of they say tomorrow is the first day
[4:22]of Ramadan you find Shia meaning hundreds and thousands of people the
[4:25]all considering it the first day of Ramadan then you just follow
[4:31]what they're what they're doing another very important point is that we
[4:36]cannot consider the last day of Shaban which is considered yeoman shek
[4:39]as the day of Ramadan until you are certain that it is
[4:43]Ramadan so there's a day of the last day of Shaban which
[4:48]is the day 30 save you you cannot consider that the first
[4:53]day of Ramadan unless you are certain that it is the first
[4:56]day of Ramadan so we cannot begin that I bad that the
[5:00]worship of the holy month of Ramadan unless we are certain and
[5:03]we have certainty that it is the holy month of Ramadan and
[5:06]similarly we cannot end the month of Ramadan you know just because
[5:12]I see people you know there's a group of people there celebrating
[5:16]Eid and they said tomorrow's eat I can't just consider it Eid
[5:21]unless I am certain or it goes with the view of my
[5:25]matter at the view of my scholar then I would be able
[5:29]to consider it that they have ate otherwise I can't just you
[5:32]know decide on okay since a group of people are considering your
[5:39]Eid then I will also consider now regarding the ways of citing
[5:43]the Hylian different scholars have different views some people say you have
[5:48]to see it with the naked eye others say you could see
[5:52]it with a telescope others say you could do it through calculations
[5:56]and through technology what the technology tells you this is the issue
[6:01]of what different scholars are and the different scholars have different views
[6:05]regarding this my advice to all the meaning to all the believers
[6:08]is let us not get in this drama every year people they
[6:13]come and what is going on and they come and they you
[6:15]know what's going on and and they cause some of them because
[6:20]fit and they cause problems your views to follow your mother if
[6:23]your mother says tomorrow's Ramadan you do tomorrow my mother if your
[6:26]mother says tomorrow's 8:00 you do tomorrow if your mother didn't then
[6:30]follow what the medicines you are following that magic because you believe
[6:34]that merger is a knowledgeable person so take the advice of the
[6:40]merger and that's it it's as simple as that now we go
[6:44]to fasting what is fasting fasting is abstaining from certain things and
[6:52]we mentioned what they are food and sexual desires they're actually eight
[6:56]things that were going to talk about and you abstained from them
[7:02]between fedja and measurement with the intention of seeking nearness to Allah
[7:10]subhana WA Ta'ala so say for example I slept I was awake
[7:13]all night and then I slept all day from Federer until negative
[7:17]time I was sleeping and the winter this happened sometimes if some
[7:21]people they're working the whole night they come and they sleep the
[7:23]whole day now if you slept and you had not intended on
[7:29]fasting what you did not eat that day you were not intending
[7:32]you did not have the intention of the seeking nearness to Allah
[7:38]subhana WA Ta'ala that won't count as an see on that won't
[7:40]count as a fasting say for example you were awake but you
[7:45]were working all day from the moment you woke up until the
[7:47]moment until method of time and you didn't have time to go
[7:50]and eat and you didn't do anything that would break your fast
[7:53]that's still not considered fasting if you did not have the intention
[7:57]of seeking nearness to Allah because because fasting is that I bad
[8:01]that just like will who is that bad then just like what
[8:05]is that I bad just like Sun I about if I just
[8:08]go and wash my face in my hands because it's hot I'm
[8:10]not doing the seeking nearness to allah subhanaw taala will that count
[8:15]as although no that will just be me washing my hands if
[8:18]I don't eat from dawn until method and I'm not seeking nearness
[8:23]to Allah Subhan Allah I have not made the intention then it
[8:26]won't count as fasting it would just count as a person not
[8:32]eating or a person is under on a diet so a very
[8:36]important condition is that because it's bad because it's a worship you
[8:39]have to make the intention and seek nearness to allah subhanaw taala
[8:42]now abstaining from Fedya until muslim when is federal and when is
[8:50]murder federal is it's the start of the morning Twilight's the beginning
[8:57]of the first light that comes in the sky and be in
[9:03]the east that's the first light that begins that is dawn that
[9:07]is federal that's the time that we have to stop eating that's
[9:11]the time that we have to refrain from anything that breaks the
[9:14]fast and before that time we have to have made the intention
[9:17]of fastening now some people when it comes to the month of
[9:22]ramadhan bigoted confused they say then what's fair and what's inside Thatcher
[9:27]is the time of the morning prayer the federal prayer or insalata
[9:31]Savoy and federal is the dawn the beginning of the first light
[9:34]of the of the morning Twilight however inside it means hold on
[9:42]don't eat that's the time that I refrained from eating that I
[9:46]refrained from anything that might break the fast now why do we
[9:48]have they pass out in the massage that they pass out the
[9:52]EM Sakia meaning the time that you should stop eating the reason
[9:55]why we have this is because of precaution because it's very difficult
[10:01]to distinguish exactly the second of federer it's very difficult to distinguish
[10:06]especially with all the light that's in the sky now if we
[10:11]were in a desert you would be able to see the the
[10:12]Fed joke that the first morning light however we can't tell exactly
[10:18]when that is and you find different places they say for example
[10:23]a different time when Federer's so because we are not sure we
[10:27]are not 100% sure we give ourselves this you know ten minutes
[10:35]five minutes time that we stop eating we refrain from anything that
[10:39]may break the fast out of precaution we stop eating and that
[10:42]is the time of him suck however if you are a hundred
[10:48]percent certain that a job say for example is 5:00 a.m.
[10:50]you're a hundred percent certain that photos 5 a.m.
[10:54]then you could eat all the way up until right before 5:00
[11:00]a.m.
[11:01]but because we are not certain exactly when federal is so the
[11:05]paper the says for example stop eating got 450 because fejoe might
[11:10]be at 5 o'clock so therefore you stop eating about 10 minutes
[11:15]before just out of precaution and my advice to the minion to
[11:21]the believers during that time you stop eating and you go and
[11:25]you pray silently go and pray a few like ants wait a
[11:29]key praying until it becomes federal until it becomes federal time then
[11:33]you will move on and then after fajar once you are certain
[11:36]that it is federal then you can stop then you can pray
[11:41]of course also scholars here they also do another actia some scholars
[11:45]because they want to make sure that it's a hundred percent treasure
[11:49]so they add another ten minutes to the federal time just to
[11:54]make sure that they are a hundred percent in the federal time
[11:57]then that is when they prayed the federal prayer so they give
[12:01]themselves about 20 minutes 10 minutes before federal they stop eating and
[12:05]ten minutes after fajar they go and they pray so that they
[12:08]make sure that they have stopped eating before federal time and they
[12:12]make sure that they have prayed once it is a hundred percent
[12:16]fed your time so this is the time of fedja now what
[12:19]is sunrise sunrise is when the disk of the Sun appears in
[12:24]the eastern horizon when the whole Sun starts rising of course not
[12:28]many of us see witness the sunrise probably many of you have
[12:33]seen the sunset when the disk of the Sun Goes Down the
[12:35]sunrise that is the time that for now Lissa's doesn't have to
[12:42]do with fasting once the time of once the Sun rises then
[12:46]federal prayer becomes Allah the morning prayer that federal prayer its from
[12:51]the the beginning of the first twilight of dawn of the light
[12:56]until the Sun rises once the Sun rises then federal prayer becomes
[12:59]Allah I just wanted to add that there it doesn't have anything
[13:02]to do with fasting now what is measured because it says fast
[13:09]from fajar until nazareth nazareth is also a difficult issue and it
[13:14]also causes some controversy because different schools of thought have different views
[13:19]as what Miserables some they say it's the sunset when when the
[13:23]Sun sets that is murdered and this is the opinion of the
[13:26]of the school of thought and there are some Shia scholars that
[13:31]also this is their opinion however the majority share a opinion is
[13:36]that measurement is about 15 minutes after the Sun sets so say
[13:45]the Sun sets you know 7 p.m.
[13:46]then then you wait about 15 minutes depending on the location and
[13:50]on the season of the year but the point the way to
[13:56]tell exactly when it is the sheriffy the Islamic method of time
[13:59]the time of prayer and the time to break your fast as
[14:05]when the redness in the eastern horizon is gone so the Sun
[14:08]rises in the east but then it sets in the West in
[14:12]the West there's going to be redness in the sky for a
[14:13]while after the Sun sets it's going to take probably up to
[14:17]30 minutes after Sun sets however the redness in the eastern horizon
[14:23]it will go away about 15 minutes 13 minutes 15 minutes sometimes
[14:29]a little bit longer depending on the time of the year or
[14:32]where you're you're where you are then once the redness in the
[14:38]eastern horizon is gone that is matter of time that is a
[14:41]matter of time and the reason why we our scholars they take
[14:46]that precaution and they don't break the fast with Sun sets and
[14:49]they wait that 15 minutes until meta is because of this verse
[14:53]Allah says in the Quran wha-at Tim los I am in a
[14:57]lane and continue the fast until night until it becomes dark at
[15:01]sunset it's not dark when the Sun is setting it's not dark
[15:07]outside you could you could see it will start getting darker about
[15:10]15 minutes later and about 30 minutes later it will become totally
[15:13]dark so so this is why we have to wait until nebula
[15:19]the share a key method of time and we explained what Federer
[15:25]and what negative just now the intention of fasting we said that
[15:28]you have to intend you have to make the intention of fasting
[15:32]before beginning the fast because fasting is an act of worship and
[15:37]you must seek nearness to allah subhanahu wata'ala today some people they're
[15:41]on a diet or because intermittent fasting is the cool thing to
[15:45]do now so some people they're just doing it no you need
[15:50]to make the intention now how do you make the intention a
[15:53]lot of people they wait and they start they have they think
[15:57]that you have to utter things no intention can be in the
[15:59]heart you don't it doesn't need to be spoken it doesn't need
[16:03]to be anything you don't need to say anything as long as
[16:05]you know what you're doing and who you're doing it for your
[16:09]fasting and you're doing it for allah subhanho time now for the
[16:12]lodge of fasting the obligatory fasting like the fasting in the month
[16:17]of ramadan the intention must be made before fedja you can't just
[16:22]wake up and say okay today i'm going to decide on fasting
[16:27]no you have to make the intention before fedra either before you
[16:32]sleep at night you make the intention or to make it easy
[16:35]on the eve of the first of the ramadan when when they
[16:40]say tomorrow's the first of the month of ramadan you make the
[16:43]intention to fast the whole month it's that as simple as that
[16:47]you say in your heart you know i'm fasting the whole month
[16:49]the month of ramadan so this is for a wide gym for
[16:53]an obligatory fast you have to make the intention before fedra now
[16:58]for akavit fast for a make up fast say for example and
[17:00]last month of Ramadan you were sick you had an excuse fast
[17:05]you broke your fast with and now you have to make it
[17:09]up before the year and we're going to talk about that inshallah
[17:11]you have to make it up if you miss the day you
[17:14]have to make it up so this is a day that you
[17:17]have to make up when can when do you have to make
[17:23]the intention for a kaha fast here scholars say you can make
[17:25]the intention you have some leeway you have some leniency to make
[17:28]the intention up until war up until noon time so say for
[17:34]example tomorrow you woke up you slept in a little you woke
[17:40]up at 9:10 and you said you know what I didn't make
[17:42]the intention to fast before fedra I wasn't planning on fasting but
[17:47]since I slept in a little let me just continue the day
[17:49]and let me fast as long as you have not eaten and
[17:53]you have not done anything to break the fast then at that
[17:55]moment you can make the intention before noon as long as it's
[18:02]before the hard time you make the intention to fast to continue
[18:04]the day and fast as long as you have not broken the
[18:09]fast now frames to have fast say tomorrow you woke up afternoon
[18:13]you woke up with the whole time you were you you stayed
[18:19]up all night and you woke up say at 1 o'clock at
[18:21]1:30 after the whole time and you said you know what I
[18:27]left this this much I only have a few more hours till
[18:32]madam it's a mustahab it's a recommended fast it's the month of
[18:35]Rajab the month of Shaban and you don't have to make up
[18:38]a day because if you have to make up a date scholars
[18:39]say said see Stanley says you have to make up the day
[18:43]that you miss before doing anything but before doing anything recommend excuse
[18:47]me not watching you have to make up what you missed before
[18:50]doing what is recommended so here you don't have any days to
[18:57]make up and you woke up after noon and you had not
[18:59]eaten you had not done anything to break the fast you say
[19:03]you know what I'm going to continue the fast you have all
[19:05]the way until measurable time right before motherhood if you have not
[19:10]eaten anything you have not done anything you could say okay I
[19:13]only have say 5 more hours left 4 more hours left in
[19:17]the day I want to make the intention to make this day
[19:19]a day of fasting and I will get the lab for it
[19:22]and you make it a day of fasting so this is regarding
[19:26]the intention of fasting for the Rajab you have to do it
[19:28]before federal for the allah you have before noon to make the
[19:30]intention and for the recommended general recommended you have all the way
[19:34]until muslim right before method of you can make the intention now
[19:39]there are certain things that invalidate the fast and scholars say there
[19:43]are eight things that invalidate the fast i'm going to through them
[19:46]quickly and then we'll explain every single one of them we won't
[19:50]be able to finish out the whole list today one is eating
[19:56]and drinking this is obvious eating and drinking and validates the fasting
[20:01]the C on sexual intercourse that invalidates the fact they say on
[20:09]the fasting masturbation which results in ejaculation this also invalidates the fast
[20:18]ascribing false things to God to Rasul Allah and to the 12
[20:21]Imams the Maxo mean to say for example God says this in
[20:25]the Quran when Allah does not say that to say it was
[20:27]sort of loss at such-and-such fabricating a hadith to say a mammal
[20:32]Oscar II am a messiah I'm a mid-battle said this when they
[20:36]mom did not say that and you know the Imam did not
[20:38]say that that will break the fast it's not just her on
[20:42]but it will break the fast and we will explain it in
[20:43]Sharma causing thick dust to reach the throat and this is why
[20:52]some scholars say smoking invalidates the Scion others say smoking is not
[20:56]thick dust so this is an issue we're going to we're going
[21:02]to talk about that later on Champa six remaining in a state
[21:06]of ritual impurity remaining in the state of janaba after intercourse you
[21:10]have to do the hood son we have to do the ritual
[21:13]verse one we just like four so now you have to do
[21:17]the will do sometimes you have to do a loose one you
[21:18]have to do a shower so remaining in the states of ritual
[21:23]impurity choosing to remain even though when even though you that state
[21:28]is over for example janaba you for example had sexual intercourse before
[21:33]hogr and you chose to be you chose to continue and allow
[21:40]federal to come and you are still in the state of janaba
[21:42]that is Haram and that invalidates the fast remaining in behave and
[21:47]Andina fasts so for a lady in the menstrual cycle she's cleansed
[21:53]she's done with the menstrual cycle she did not do the person
[21:56]that is remaining in the ritual impurity when she was able to
[21:59]so she was able to do with illicit but she did not
[22:03]do the looser so therefore that is Haram and that invalidates the
[22:07]fast remaining in the state of ritual impurity until federal time once
[22:11]it's federal time then that will invalidate me fast applying like liquid
[22:18]enema and vomiting intentionally to force yourself to vomit that is something
[22:25]that breaks the fast now regarding eating and drinking any intentional eating
[22:32]or drinking will break the fast and it does not matter if
[22:35]it's one bite or a full meal even if you took one
[22:42]teaspoon of water intentionally that will invalidate the fast and it doesn't
[22:47]matter big or little whatever it is if you drink or you
[22:53]eat anything that will invalidate the fast that is eating and drinking
[22:57]so a lot of times we get asked this by non-muslims you
[23:02]can't even drink a sip of water yes while we're fasting we
[23:05]can't even drink a sip of water now eating unintentionally does not
[23:11]break the fast say for example it was the month of Ramadan
[23:16]the first day of Ramadan and you you planned on fasting you
[23:19]made the intention of fasting before fedja but you woke up and
[23:22]then you totally forgot you went to the fridge and you drank
[23:28]water or you ate something you were unaware you you forgot you
[23:33]forgot that you were fasting you just unintentionally went and ate or
[23:37]drank that does not break the fast even if you unintentionally had
[23:42]a full cook a full meal that does not break the fast
[23:45]because you weren't intending on breaking the fast it wasn't something that
[23:50]you intended on doing now of course if you know then that's
[23:54]that's a totally different story injections and IV did not invalidate the
[24:00]fast say you have to go and get a injection say a
[24:04]vaccine came out say you have to go and get an IV
[24:09]you were feeling weak you go to the doctor and they give
[24:11]you an IV that does not invalidate the fast even if that
[24:14]gives you energy because what is forbidden as well awesome I know
[24:19]TARDIS is consuming food placing food in your stomach IV gives you
[24:24]energy but it doesn't it's not eating you're not actually eating anything
[24:28]and you still feel the hunger so injections and IV do not
[24:32]invalidate the fast using an inhaler does not invalidate the fast as
[24:36]long as the medicine only enters into the lungs you have to
[24:41]be careful the medicine does not enter into your stomach if it
[24:44]enters into your stomach then that's a different story then if you
[24:47]have to take it you're sick and you have to take it
[24:51]then you shouldn't even be fasting but say for example you were
[24:54]just you needed you for your asthma you needed help breathing you
[24:57]you took the inhaler and it goes straight into your lungs that
[25:01]does not break the fast that does not invalidate the fast eye
[25:06]drops and ear drops do not invalidate the fast even if you
[25:10]feel the taste of the medicine sometimes if you put a I
[25:13]drop you could feel it in the back of your throat you
[25:14]could feel the taste or sometimes if you put an ear drop
[25:19]you could kind of feel it that does not invalidate you fast
[25:22]some scholars say it's McCraw this is an issue we'll cover and
[25:28]travel later but it does not break the fast medicine applied in
[25:31]the nose does not invalidate the fast as long as it doesn't
[25:36]reach the throat because the nose is a lot closer and similar
[25:37]to the mouth so it will come back to the throat you
[25:41]have to be very careful that it doesn't come to the throat
[25:43]then that way once it goes into the throat then it would
[25:47]be swallowed so that is something it would not invalidate the fast
[25:51]as long as it doesn't reach the throw swallowing your own saliva
[25:56]does not invalidate the fast you have saliva in your mouth that
[26:02]does not invalidate the fast however if you had phlegm it was
[26:06]so thick and you coughed it off you coughed it up and
[26:09]then you swallowed it again here some scholars say it is makrooh
[26:15]and obligatory you should you should try to avoid doing that you
[26:19]you should try to avoid doing that and if that happens you
[26:25]should spit it out but your own your saliva that's in in
[26:27]your mouth that's not you're not consuming something that's outside from from
[26:32]the outside and there's nothing wrong with that tasting food this is
[26:37]an issue a lot of people they're cooking while they're fasting tasting
[26:41]food does not invalidate the fast as long as the person does
[26:44]not swallow so say for example you want to test if it's
[26:50]spicy or not if it's salty or not whatever you put it
[26:51]in your mouth and then you spit it out there's nothing wrong
[26:56]with that and that does not invalidate be fast now if a
[27:00]person feels that they're dying out of thirst and that's it they're
[27:05]suffering here scholars say not only they can if you feel like
[27:13]you're dying then here it becomes obligatory upon you to break your
[27:15]fast because a loss of a note on that does not want
[27:19]us to hurt ourselves and for this allah subhanaw taala has made
[27:23]when you're traveling or when you're or when you're sick you don't
[27:27]need to fast during that time you make it up later the
[27:31]purpose of fasting is not because allah subhanaw taala wants to make
[27:34]things difficult for us Allah is merciful allowance to be easy with
[27:37]us what we have to benefit as much as we can from
[27:42]the fasting so if someone feels like they're dying out of thirst
[27:45]they can break their fast by consuming what is necessary say for
[27:52]example you take a small cup of water and you drink it
[27:54]and you don't drink anything else you don't eat anything you don't
[27:59]do anything that is also forbidden in the fast but by but
[28:02]keep in mind when you drank the water that day will not
[28:07]count for you you will have to make up that day but
[28:11]it won't be how long so here's a there's two issues sometimes
[28:14]you have excused breaking the fast like when you're sick or you're
[28:18]traveling that's an excuse breaking them fast Allah is not going to
[28:21]punish you for that but sometimes someone know they don't have an
[28:26]excuse and they come and they drink or they each or they
[28:29]do something that breaks the fast that is Haram and they have
[28:33]to make it off if someone was dying out of thirst they
[28:35]can drink but that's it they don't do anything else they don't
[28:39]they only consume what is Cerie they don't do anything else that
[28:42]breaks the fast for the sanctity of the month of Ramadan because
[28:47]the holy month has its own sanctity and then they will have
[28:50]to make up that day that they broke another we talked about
[28:56]food now sexual intercourse any penetration of the male reproductive organ in
[29:01]any of the private parts will break the fast for both genders
[29:06]so it breaks the breaks the fast for both not just the
[29:13]male so this is this is the definition of sexual intercourse the
[29:19]Islamic definition of sexual intercourse the fast is invalidated even without ejaculation
[29:27]so as long as there's a penetration then that would invalidate the
[29:32]fast the fast is broken for both as we said now if
[29:36]someone forgot that they were fasting the fasting is not invalidated say
[29:41]someone just the same goes with the food if someone forgot that
[29:46]they were fasting and they just like they ate they went and
[29:50]they for example they had a relationship then it does not invalidate
[29:54]but the second they remember they would have to stop if they
[30:00]continue then that would also invalidate the fast of that day now
[30:03]if someone was forced into sexual intercourse then they're fast is not
[30:07]broken another thing and here we'll stop after this is masturbation the
[30:16]app which is the act of forcing oneself to ejaculate through means
[30:21]other than sexual intercourse that would break the fast so that is
[30:27]something that is forbidden not only does it break the fast it
[30:31]is something haram it's something that throughout the whole year and in
[30:34]any time if someone commits that act that's an a sin but
[30:40]it also breaks the fast of the one who is fasting and
[30:43]there's a colada for it it's Haram it's a breaking the fast
[30:49]and a haram way it's not an excused way to break the
[30:52]fast of course involuntary Jackson or wait wet dream does not invalidate
[30:58]the fast so if someone was sleeping and it was something that
[31:04]was involuntary something that they did not force upon themselves then that
[31:09]would not break the fast and they could do bushland whenever they
[31:13]wake whenever they wake up whenever they have access to water they
[31:17]could go do or sir so here the the issue here they
[31:21]don't have to wake up and go do listen right away you
[31:22]go and you do go solid whenever it's time for you to
[31:26]pray you don't have to rush into thee into doing the listen
[31:28]the other thing we mentioned and we're going to talk about later
[31:34]is and Baja Jannah remaining in the state of janaba before federal
[31:37]time if you had done something which placed you in the state
[31:40]of janaba which was also ejaculation place places you in the state
[31:47]of janaba but if you had done that before federal and you
[31:50]chose to not do the vassal and federal came then that would
[31:55]make it and that would invalidate the fast but say for example
[31:58]a person woke up after Federer and they had intended on fasting
[32:01]and they saw that they had involuntarily you know how to wet
[32:07]dream then in that case they do listen whenever they have access
[32:10]to water in order to pray you would have to do listen
[32:14]so you do that at your convenience now regarding this since we're
[32:18]here masturbation is haram regardless for the sake of the month of
[32:23]Ramadan or not it breaks the fast but it is something that
[32:26]is Haram a man asks imam sadiq ali said i'm proved to
[32:31]me that it is haram the imam ali said i'm recited this
[32:35]verse in surah 10 what we do on the believers allah describes
[32:37]the movement on a flagman own and ladino home feels-a-lot ahamkara own
[32:42]when the Vino home then the verse goes well levena home LaForge
[32:48]am half alone and they the mean own they are those who
[32:52]guard their private parts Allah Allah as watching him Oh Malik at
[32:55]a man home for a Roman you mean except from their wives
[33:00]or those the right hand possesses for indeed they will not be
[33:06]blamed and then Allah says in the Quran and this is the
[33:08]part of the anomaly Saddam was using feminine pataga while are a
[33:14]dialect phenomena are doing but whoever seeks any means of pleasure beyond
[33:19]that beyond as watching him oh my America's a manual then beyond
[33:27]that then those are the transgressors so any way of self pleasure
[33:32]with with which is without your spouse's that is without your canal
[33:37]spouses then that is something that is a act of transgression and
[33:42]this falls under that imam sadiq ali salam uses this verse to
[33:48]prove it and in another hadith amiran many not even everybody imam
[33:52]sadiq he says amirul mumineen in Ameer al-mumineen Arlene Salaam UTI barrage
[33:57]well I better be that correct they brought a person to I
[34:03]mean who was caught masturbating and amirul mumineen he struck this person
[34:07]on his hand Favara boy who had marwat's until the person's hand
[34:11]became red thumb as a wedge of human baited mouth then I
[34:15]mean minion went to the Bateson man to the Muslim Treasury and
[34:18]he gave this person money and he tells him go and get
[34:20]married because that is the solution and with that inshallah we will
[34:27]we will do this one and we will finish ascribing something false
[34:32]to allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala or to a sort of law or to
[34:39]the 12 Imams so say for example I say God said this
[34:41]and God did not say that I say a sort of acid
[34:44]said this or the Imam said this and they did not say
[34:48]that that will invalidate the fast not only is it a lie
[34:50]not only is it a fabrication but it is something that will
[34:56]invalidate the facts of course many of our books many of the
[34:59]books of hadith are filled with lies attributed to rasulallah maharaja who
[35:04]i and this is why we have to be very careful with
[35:07]hadith we accept and which hadith we reject so Allah he himself
[35:13]he says Sutekh thoroughly alcazaba they're going to be many people who
[35:17]lie and fabricate a hadith and attribute them attribute them to me
[35:23]so here scholars say based on obligatory precaution the fastest invalidated so
[35:28]in this case if someone knowingly they said something that they know
[35:32]it's wrong and they attributed it to God or the prophets or
[35:35]the Imams even if they were joking you can't say something and
[35:40]say no no but I was broken you you're when you're saying
[35:42]something that's like going and eating and say out I was joking
[35:45]that's something that breaks the fast so we have to be very
[35:52]careful and based on obligatory precaution you would have to make up
[35:56]the fast according to the view of sate Sistani of course they
[35:59]say Fatima Tazawa is included in this so she's included with the
[36:04]Imams as well so say fatima zahra said this as well this
[36:09]is something that invalidates the fast now if someone code something that
[36:13]they believe is true say for example you went and you took
[36:17]a book and you saw this in a book you weren't making
[36:19]this up and you mentioned this hadith thinking that it is true
[36:24]but then it turns out to be fabricated it turns out to
[36:27]be false then here in this case the fasting does not become
[36:33]invalid now the other way around if someone has typed something that
[36:36]he believes is false to God or the prophet or the Imams
[36:39]knowing that it would invalidate the fast you know it's you think
[36:44]you believe it's it's false but then it turns out to be
[36:49]true turns out no so Allah really did say such a thing
[36:50]or the Quran really did say such a thing based on obligatory
[36:55]precaution this person must complete that fast and make it up later
[37:00]so here in this case because this person was transgressing this person
[37:05]didn't care and they went ahead and tried to try to do
[37:10]something that is Haram and something that breaks the fast and one
[37:13]when they do it when they're doing that they're basically taking themselves
[37:17]out of the intention of fasting out of this state of fasting
[37:22]so narrating something false that someone else said does not invalidate the
[37:27]fast so say for example I say Abu Huraira has narrated this
[37:29]from the Prophet and that is something that is wrong that is
[37:32]something that is not accepted I say Abu Hurairah said that I'm
[37:37]just saying what someone else said then in this case that there's
[37:40]nothing wrong with that and that does not invalidate the fasting when
[37:46]hamdu lillahi rabbil alameen Osama Hamid II wanna hurry
