On March 12, 2026, the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran entered its thirteenth day. U.S. and Israeli forces have reportedly struck more than 20,000 non-military targets across Iran as the conflict continues to escalate. In his first official statement, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei vowed to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed, continue attacks on U.S. bases in the region, and avenge Iranian casualties. Iran has launched new waves of missile and drone strikes targeting sites in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem as well as U.S. airbases across the region. Meanwhile, Israeli strikes continue across Lebanon, including in Beirut and at the Lebanese University, while global energy markets remain under pressure as the U.S. releases emergency oil reserves amid disruptions linked to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

[0:03]Here's a roundup of what happened in the past 24 hours.

[0:07]The US and Israel have thus far struck over 20,000 non-military targets

[0:11]across Iran.

[0:13]Iran state media issued the first official statement by Iranian Supreme Leader

[0:15]Mosal in which he vowed to keep the straight of closed, keep

[0:21]up attacks on US bases in the region and take vengeance for

[0:24]the blood of Iranian martyrs.

[0:26]Iranian President Masoud Peskian has outlined three conditions to end the war.

[0:39]Iran's IRGC announced the 41st and 42nd waves of retaliatory attacks that

[0:57]Former IDF Chief of Staff Gazi Isenat called for the renewed implementation

[1:01]of the Dahi Doctrine, which refers to Israeli military policy centered on

[1:07]calculated large-scale destruction of civilian infrastructure that was first used in the

[1:10]2006 war during Israel's bombardment of Beirut's southern suburbs.

[1:14]This comes as Israeli warplanes bombed a residential building in Bashura, Beirut

[1:18]for the third time.

[1:21]In another Israeli strike at the Lebanese University in Hadith, two professors

[1:26]were killed.

[1:28]The US has admitted that it is not prepared to escort oil

[1:30]tankers through the straight of Hormuz, according to US energy secretary Chris

[1:35]Wright.

[1:36]His statement comes after a social media post earlier this week falsely

[1:41]claimed that the US Navy had already escorted a tanker through the

[1:44]straight.

[1:44]The US Department of Energy announced it will release 172 million barrels

[1:48]of oil from strategic reserves due to shipping disruptions through the Strait

[1:53]of Hormuz in an attempt to stabilize global energy markets.

[1:56]US intelligence indicates that Iran's leadership remains firmly in place and is

[2:01]not at risk of collapsing according to sources that spoke with Reuters.

[2:04]Israeli officials have also reportedly privately acknowledged that there is no certainty

[2:10]the bombardment will affect Iran's government, especially after the US-Israeli assassination of

[2:15]Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatah Ali Kam.

[2:18]Meanwhile, the US Army has identified two suspects believed to be involved

[2:22]in the theft of four military drone systems from Fort Campbell, an

[2:27]incident that occurred in November, but details were just made public.

[2:30]Analysts say this could indicate an upcoming false flag operation to justify

[2:35]a ground invasion in Iran by manufacturing another 9/11st style terror attack

[2:41]on US soil.
