[3:31]this time i would be honored to be able to present his

[3:37]lectures in the past few days we celebrated very important days in

[4:28]the muslim calendar and those days are beginning with the day of

[4:38]ghadir the 18th of the and on the 24th of the was

[4:44]the day of mobahada the day where rasulullah showed the muslims who

[4:54]the admin baits are and the significance of the bait and the

[5:00]25th of the is the day that surat was revealed that talks

[5:14]about the sacrifice and the giving of the advaita was revealed on

[5:34]month of muharram the muslim world begins by commemorating the tragedy of

[5:45]imam and hussain alaihissalam and the martyrdom of the grandson of rasulullah

[5:53]so this brings us to ask a question what happened between ghadir

[6:01]and karbala how was it that within a span of 50 years

[6:11]just 50 years after the death of the prophet he leaves this

[6:15]life in the year 11 after hijrah in the month of safari

[6:20]and his grandson imam hussain and his very family were killed on

[6:30]the 10th of muharram in the year 61 after hijra what happened

[6:36]during this 50-year time span where the very grandson of the prophet

[6:42]was killed in the land of karma here insha'allah in the upcoming

[6:49]nights of muharram we will talk about imam and hussain and the

[6:54]sacrifices of imam and hussain and the events that led to karma

[7:00]however there is a very important question and that is what is

[7:08]the responsibility of the muslims towards the bait and did the muslims

[7:15]fail this test towards the debate because one of the greatest tests

[7:22]one of the most difficult tests that the muslims were tested with

[7:28]after rasulullah was not particularly salah or let go of idol worship

[7:36]or fasting during the month of ramadan or giving zakat or performing

[7:39]this is something everyone did this is something everyone was able to

[7:44]commit to everyone was able to pray and until now today you

[7:49]see millions of muslims millions of people are praying everyone was able

[7:53]to commit to going to hajj everyone was able to commit to

[7:56]giving zakat however not everyone was able to commit to show that

[8:05]love and obedience and mawata to the family of the prophet and

[8:09]this is why the only order the only request and this is

[8:19]an order by allah to him how can the muslims pay back

[8:25]the prophet they came to him and they asked him how can

[8:27]we repay you for everything that you've done the prophet didn't ask

[8:33]for money the prophet didn't ask for wealth the prophet didn't ask

[8:38]for power allah the only way that you can pay me back

[8:53]for guiding you is loving my family and what do we understand

[8:58]from this this has a very big meaning it means that the

[9:03]reward of the prophet for guiding people towards islam towards taheed or

[9:10]salat or zakat or hajj towards everything that islam stands for the

[9:16]reward for it is what loving the advaith what does that mean

[9:21]if you're making a transaction if you want to buy something you

[9:26]pay you give that which is equal to what you are purchasing

[9:31]so this means that the love and the devotion towards the towards

[9:36]the family of the prophet is equivalent to the whole message of

[9:43]islam the whole message of islam everything that you believe in the

[9:46]zakat the hajj all of that if you want to put it

[9:51]on a scale it's equivalent to the mawanda of the because allah

[9:54]says this is a transaction and this my dear brothers and sisters

[10:03]was a test that many of the muslims failed in and this

[10:08]is the reality many of the muslims failed this test immediately after

[10:12]the death of the prophet they gained up on his family they

[10:16]gained up on his daughter fatham and eventually 50 years later imam

[10:22]hussain is killed during the day by a muslim army on the

[10:30]day of ashura my dear brothers and sisters we have many orders

[10:36]clear orders in the quran and in the words of the prophet

[10:38]ordering muslims to show love and obedience [Music] and discipline raise your

[11:02]children with these three qualities the prophet he says discipline your children

[11:13]with these three very important qualities the love of the prophet we

[11:20]have to love the prophets we have to teach our children to

[11:23]have an attachment to the prophet and second an attachment to the

[11:29]adam bait the family of the prophet and third the recitation of

[11:35]the quran and another in another hadith from the prophet he says

[11:40][Music] and my progeny is what completes a person's faith and the

[11:53]famous hadith that unfortunately many muslims purposefully they do not read it

[11:58]correctly the way the prophets wanted them to read it and this

[12:02]is narrated in sahih muslim in confidence i am leaving behind the

[12:14]two weighty things the book of allah and my advaith now today

[12:21]it's very funny that some they go and they resort to weaker

[12:24]sources like sunan ibn maja and these other sources that they don't

[12:29]refer to usually usually they refer to muslim and bukhari here when

[12:34]it comes to this hadith they don't refer to muslim that but

[12:39]they go and they refer to others weaker sources that says i'm

[12:47]leaving behind the book of allah and my sunnah and of course

[12:54]himself would show extensive love to his family today some people they're

[13:02]they're surprised they're shocked why do yushiyas make such a big deal

[13:07]about the debate so many people were killed every year year after

[13:11]year imam and hussain year after year you commemorate all the imams

[13:16]of the albeit aren't you doing a little bit of hulu aren't

[13:21]you exaggerating no we're not exaggerating we're doing exactly what the prophet

[13:26]used to do he gave that much attention and love to his

[13:29]family this is why it's no surprise [Music] you know that you

[13:35]have to remember the debate for your salah to be accepted every

[13:38]salah that you pray you have to send salawat upon the prophet

[13:43]and who and his family your love is in their salawat then

[14:31]their salah is not accepted now today they come many times you

[14:38]see people they say and they stop they don't add the family

[14:42]of the prophets and if they do at the family of the

[14:48]prophet they added with it sending salawat upon the sahaba of the

[14:52]prophet it's not in the quran it's not anywhere to send salawat

[14:56]upon the sahaba yes there were good sahaba there are many that

[15:00]are praised in the quran but not all the sahaba deserve this

[15:04]innovation anyways so the question that we began with was what happened

[15:10]where here you have the you have you have the prophet day

[15:17]after day showing love and affection to his family and then 50

[15:20]years later his family imam hussain is killed in the land of

[15:26]kelvin and in what kind of brutal way what happened where a

[15:31]clan a dynasty like benny omaya comes to power the very family

[15:35]that was fighting the prophet abu sufyan was leading the wars against

[15:39]the prophet muhammad's son was with him against the prophet suddenly and

[15:45]suddenly yazid becomes these individuals who were very far from islam from

[15:55]the roots of islam what happened the answer my dear brothers and

[16:02]sisters is in several points there are several types of people that

[16:07]turned against the adam bay the first is individuals who had deviants

[16:13]who defied who defied the order of the quran and the order

[16:19]of the prophet knowing exactly what they were doing allah has an

[16:24]order but they came and they made another thing they had another

[16:27]plan and they decided to go with their other plan the same

[16:32]way allah subhanahu ta'ala orders iblees and the angels to do so

[16:39]least he says no he starts compromising and he starts negotiating with

[16:46]fire he was created out of soil and he come he negotiates

[16:50]with god this is not what is if god tells you to

[16:53]do something you do it right away so here there was a

[17:01]group of people that defined the order of rasulullah there was a

[17:18]group of people that they knew where the truth was and they

[17:20]decided to turn against it that's it the cousin of the prophet

[17:29]this is narrated by muslims he goes and he asks the second

[17:36]khalifa he asks him why did you guys turn against what was

[17:44]wrong with ali was imam ali late to join the religion of

[17:47]islam or did he run away in the battles like some of

[17:52]the others what did he do what what did he have wrong

[17:54]with him that you guys turned against him he answers him very

[17:59]clearly he says to have prophethood and imam and then they're going

[18:19]to be proud in front of the other members of quraish what

[18:22]does this mean this means god wants something and quraish wants something

[18:26]else and we chose to go with what quraish wanted to do

[18:30]we chose to defy the order of allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and

[18:36]this was one group of people and until today you have a

[18:39]group of people they know where hap is they know where is

[18:42]but yet they defy knowing exactly that this is wrong and this

[18:46]is going to derail people but they do the wrong this is

[18:50]one segment of people and this segments of people we're with the

[18:53]prophets and after the prophet they came to the realms of power

[18:59]there was another group of people that had hatred towards the admit

[19:04]and specifically they had hatred to imam and they could not stand

[19:14]imam ali and this hatred you could see it visible in some

[19:19]people until today until today there are some people you mention the

[19:23]merits of the sahaba they get happy and another companion they get

[19:28]happy another companion they get happy and then as soon as they

[19:31]you mention some of the merits of the advance they don't like

[19:35]it they get uncomfortable they get uncomfortable when the merits of ali

[19:39]are mentioned and there was a group of people that were living

[19:44]with the prophet that hated imam ali and this is why we

[19:49]have many narrations where the prophets he tells them leave ali is

[19:59]hypocrisy but there was a group of people that despised imam this

[20:03]is why even on the day of ashura one of the statements

[20:08]it is said that one of the statements that was mentioned to

[20:12]the debates the reason why we're killing you the grandson of the

[20:20]prophet we might not have something specifically against imam and hussain but

[20:25]we have animosity towards your father this is why yazid when they

[20:30]brought the head of imam and hussain in front of him he

[20:34]says only if my ancestors unbetter could see what we have done

[20:37]to the bani hashem today why because it was the sword of

[20:43]ali of nabita because it was the sword of ali abn abi

[20:45]talib that had killed at least one person from each family in

[20:50]paris of the kuffar and they despised him they despise [Music] after

[21:00]a few days ago we celebrated after the events of a man

[21:05]comes to rasulullah and this is narrated by muslims sunni sources they

[21:12]mentioned the story [Applause] [Music] he comes to the prophet he tells

[21:40]him you ordered us to let go of idols we let go

[21:42]of idols you ordered us to pray we started praying you ordered

[21:47]us to go to hajj we started going to hajj you ordered

[21:49]us to give zakat we started giving zakat everything you ordered us

[21:53]we did now out of all people you come and you bring

[21:59]your brother your your son-in-law and your cousin and you tell him

[22:07]to be and you make him the leader over us is this

[22:11]from you or is this from god here the hadith says rasool

[22:16]allah became very angry his face became red and he said walla

[22:19]min allah by god this is the order of god this is

[22:25]not me by god this is the order of allah by god

[22:26]this is the order of allah and then the man he couldn't

[22:33]stand it as he's walking away from the prophet he says oh

[22:35]allah if this is from you then send your punishment upon us

[22:41]because we cannot bear a man like ali of naivete being our

[22:45]leader the narrations say the man had not reached his tent yet

[22:48]he had not reached his camp yet and a stone from the

[22:52]sky comes and it hits him and he dies in his place

[22:55]and then the verse comes down and surat this is some people

[23:10]they they had hatred towards minion and the bait specifically but imam

[23:18]ali was the one that they despised and imam today are being

[23:32]persecuted it's all the love of ali so this is what second

[23:38]this is why my dear brothers and sisters if you're a follower

[23:43]of ali you have to thank allah every day because this is

[23:48]something that god has placed in your hearts and there are others

[23:51]that this love has been stripped away from them this is why

[23:55]when you visit the adhd bait when you do anything that brings

[23:59]you closer to god and reminder of the beit when you come

[24:04]to the majala starting tomorrow when you come to the majalis of

[24:08]imam al-hussein thank allah thank allah and say alhamdulillah if it wasn't

[24:21]for god guiding us maybe it would have been from those people

[24:26]who are against the end thank allah that he guided you and

[24:29]you are privileged to be from those who are this is the

[24:39]second category so we said the first reason why some people neglected

[24:44]the alibaba was because of deviants they knew what was right what

[24:48]was wrong and they decided to go against it a second group

[24:52]of people they had hatred towards ali they can't stand [Music] a

[24:58]third group of people it is the love of power love of

[25:02]power maybe they don't have something personal against imam ali may be

[25:05]nothing personal against imam and hussain or imam or imam or the

[25:09]immans of the arabic but they love power there's a lot of

[25:14]people like that for the sake of power for the sake of

[25:17]being in charge they're willing to commit all of the haram acts

[25:19]they're willing to do whatever it takes just to stay in power

[25:23]and there was a group of people like that and this is

[25:27]why the hadith the love of this dunya is the key and

[25:35]the reason for all mistakes whatever mistake you make in this dunya

[25:39]whatever haram you do in this dunya in one way or another

[25:42]it goes back to the love and attachment to this dunya because

[25:45]we love this dunya and sometimes we're willing because of the love

[25:49]because of the short time enjoyment in this dunya we're willing to

[25:55]do that which breaks the boundaries and the rules of allah oppress

[25:59]other people steal from other people kill this is what they did

[26:04]there's an interesting story it says that one day he was a

[26:13]king and he had ruled the whole he had a vast empire

[26:18]the whole muslim empire was huge by that time he was ruling

[26:21]it he goes to hajj and he orders for the children of

[26:27]imam ali the sons of imam ali to come and all they

[26:31]have to come and say salaam to him so one of those

[26:35]who was ordered to come and say salaam to him was imam

[26:38]al his son is watching his father haroon how he's dealing with

[26:57]the sons of ali of navitadin he sees them they come and

[27:01]he doesn't care for them one after the other third fourth fifth

[27:05]sixth they don't come until imam he gets up from his spot

[27:14]and he comes and he welcomes him he hugs him and he

[27:16]puts him in his seat and he shows him so much respect

[27:21]once they leave moon his son he asks the father he tells

[27:28]him oh father i saw that you treated them all in one

[27:30]way but when this one najafa when he walked in you treated

[27:37]him in a different way you got up and you gave him

[27:38]your seat you treated him in a way that i've never seen

[27:42]you treat anyone before the father tells the son he tells him

[27:45]because he is the one who's worthy he's the one who's supposed

[27:49]to be sitting in this seat of power he is the khalifa

[27:54]of rasulullah and he's supposed to be sitting in the seat of

[27:59]power so he's young he still doesn't know politics yet he's not

[28:05]he hasn't become a politician yet and how deceitful politicians become he

[28:10]tells his father then why don't you give him your seat if

[28:14]he's the one who's worthy of being the one in power the

[28:16]father tells the son if you my dear son come and try

[28:23]to take the seat away from me i will cut that which

[28:25]has your eyes in it meaning i will cut your head off

[28:28]if you come and try to question my power this is what

[28:33]some people they have the love of power for the sake of

[28:39]power they're willing to do whatever it takes and fourth my dear

[28:43]brothers and sisters another group of people that neglect the debate they're

[28:47]tested with the invades but they don't give them their love and

[28:50]the respect and the mawada that they deserve is out of ignorance

[28:56]a lot of people and perhaps right now we live in a

[29:00]time that the majority of the people they're ignorant they don't know

[29:03]who the added baits are they haven't been introduced to the real

[29:07]islam the real quran the real sunnah the one that they know

[29:16]is the sunnah that is written by people who came in power

[29:20]people who made up the sunnah people who fabricated the sunnah and

[29:35]this is dangerous this is why my dear brothers and sisters it

[29:38]is up to every single one of us to learn the truth

[29:43]every single one of us has to seek the truth don't say

[29:48]i'm a muslim because i was born into a muslim family don't

[29:53]say i'm a shira because my parents are shia don't say i

[29:55]do this and i do that because my family did it because

[30:00]you will need to know why you believe in what you believe

[30:03]in who knows right now we're saying that we're right and the

[30:07]others are wrong so we have to go do research be unknowing

[30:12]have conviction why you're shia be a muslim having conviction while you're

[30:16]a muslim that way no one could come and question you or

[30:19]when someone does come and question you you will have the answer

[30:24]ready today the majority of the muslims they're blindly following they don't

[30:26]know why they're muslim they don't know why they're following the first

[30:31]khalifa and the second khalifa and the third khalifa why they don't

[30:33]follow the elephant they don't know and this is the irony the

[30:41]religion of islam that the first word that was revealed upon the

[30:44]prophet says read how many muslims go and read how many muslims

[30:49]go and read the primary sources how many muslims know why they

[30:53]do what they do this is why my dear brothers and sisters

[30:56]and this is my last point we have a duty if you

[31:02]are on the hub if you're on the straight path you have

[31:06]an obligation to guide others and you don't need to necessarily go

[31:11]and knock people's doors like those missionaries knocking on doors and wearing

[31:14]suits and telling people join join this religion or this or that

[31:23]no be a good muslim be a good role model be a

[31:26]good person attract people towards you attract people towards the atlanta of

[31:32]the adventure and don't be bad role models don't be people that

[31:57]people are going to say look at these shias look at their

[32:50]many of them failed that test why because they don't know what

[33:51]heart says let your actions and the way that you live your

[33:56]life be synchronized with the companions of imam and hussain so that

[34:01]you can be from amongst the companions of the athlete my dear
