[37:20]Kindly join me reciting five times on for his quick shifah.
[37:24]Inshallahhammed.
[37:41][Music] is [Music] [Music] [Music] inshallah.
[38:09]The Wessex volunteers have organized an Azadari program for ladies and gents
[38:14]to be held tomorrow Friday the 4th of July after the main
[38:18]program.
[38:19]This will consist of recitation of Marcia and Mahatma Abdari.
[38:21]Anyone interested in reciting should contact brother Hussein Kanani.
[38:24]All ladies and gents are encouraged to attend.
[38:29]Inshallah the topic for tonight's majus is is success determined by destiny
[38:34]or shaped by choice.
[38:35]Kindly join me.
[38:37]Join me in welcoming Shikhur Muhammad to the member with a recitation
[38:41]of three loud salawat.
[38:40]Allah Muhammad Ali Muhammad Ali Muhammad.
[39:19]Alhamdulillah.
[39:41]Waiting [Music] for speech.
[39:59][Music] [Music] for I'll be for [Music] [Music] I'm Allahham for the
[41:11]love of Abdah with the loudest of our voices.
[41:21]For the love of Abbas with the loudest of our voices and
[41:33]for the purification of our hearts and hastening of the reappearance of
[41:40]our beloved the 12th Imam with the loudest of our voices.
[41:50]Once again, my dear brothers and sisters, lovers and the followers of
[41:59]B, we thank almighty Allah for gracing us with the eighth night
[42:04]of the holy month of Muharam.
[42:05]We pray that Allah tab wa'ala accept our humble efforts and make
[42:15]us worthy of being true slaves of him inshallah.
[42:18]The verse I've just quoted from the glorious Quran is Quran 11
[42:24]verse 105.
[42:28]Allah says a day will come when no soul will speak except
[42:42]by permission.
[42:42]Then Allah says of those who will gather on that day in
[42:50]the day of there will be the group of wretched ones and
[42:58]the group of the successful ones.
[43:03]In other words, on the day of there will be those who
[43:08]are successful and there will be those who are failures.
[43:12]Now departing from this beautiful verse, our topic of tonight inshallah will
[43:19]be in a rhetorical question.
[43:22]Is success determined by destiny or determined by choice?
[43:30]The aim inshallah brothers and sisters by the end inshallah of this
[43:38]majus is for us to deeply reflect on what is it that
[43:42]we want and how do we want to achieve it.
[43:45]Our examination of tonight will inshallah be of the following three stages.
[43:51]The first stage will look at a question.
[43:55]What is the definition of success and failure?
[44:06]And then the second stage of our examination, we'll look at the
[44:14]two main divisions of success.
[44:17]The true success and illustrative success.
[44:24]And then the last stage of the examination is also a question.
[44:29]Is success a permanent attribute or not?
[44:36]In other words, if I'm successful now, will I continue to be
[44:43]successful or will it change?
[44:44]So kindly pay attention to this.
[44:47]It's very important.
[44:47]first stage of our examination.
[44:49]What is success and what is failure?
[44:54]Cuz at the end of the day, we all want to achieve
[45:04]success either in our relationship with Allah or in our relationship with
[45:11]people.
[45:09]Bottom line, success is what we all strive for.
[45:15]If you like you can say perfection because of our feta primordial
[45:25]nature we all yearn for perfection.
[45:26]When you go out to work you are going for perfection.
[45:32]When you get married you are marrying for perfection.
[45:37]When you go to study you are doing so for perfection.
[45:42]Likewise, when I come to a program of this nature, I am
[45:48]attending for perfection.
[45:48]In other words, we are doing whatever we do in life for
[45:55]success.
[45:56]So now question, what is success and what is failure?
[46:02]Success or failure is a psychological state.
[46:08]Kindly I beg you pay attention to this.
[46:11]There are two conditions or states that each and every individual from
[46:19]time to time is examined with.
[46:23]The first condition or state is a psychological one and the second
[46:30]one scholars call it objective reality.
[46:33]For those who are interested in Arabic, the first one is and
[46:39]the second one is now what is objective reality?
[46:49]It's a state when a person is examined with that state is
[46:56]not influenced by perception.
[46:59]In other words, when I am examining with that condition, I don't
[47:05]have to pay attention to know that I'm examining with it.
[47:09]Typical example, health.
[47:11]When you are healthy, you are healthy.
[47:13]You just need to look after yourself.
[47:15]And if you are sick, whatever you do, you are sick.
[47:19]You've been diagnosed of something.
[47:20]You just have to look after yourself.
[47:23]This what scholars call.
[47:26]If you go in a very simple term for our understanding is
[47:31]a real condition.
[47:32]I don't need to pay attention to it to know that I
[47:37]am sick or I am healthy.
[47:40]The second one no is a psychological state.
[47:43]When we are examined with a psychological state, we will need to
[47:50]pay special attention to know that we are indeed examined with it.
[47:54]Without paying special attention, I will not be able to know that
[47:57]I am examined with a psychological state.
[48:00]In other words, psychological condition or state is influenced by perception.
[48:07]Example, happiness.
[48:09]Happiness habibi is a psychological state.
[48:13]Sometime you may be the happiest person but because of your complaint
[48:17]you don't know.
[48:19]And sometimes you may be the saddest person but because you are
[48:24]too loud you look like you are the most happiest person because
[48:28]happiness and sadness are psychological conditions.
[48:34]Now success and failure are psychological conditions.
[48:41]You may be successful sometime but you don't know.
[48:44]You keep complaining I'm bad.
[48:45]I'mbitare but you are successful.
[48:49]But because you're not paying attention, you're just complaining, you're thinking that
[48:54]the entire problem of UK is in your house.
[49:00]Likewise, sometimes one may be a failure, but because of his character,
[49:08]when he appears in a public, people may think that he is
[49:15]the most successful one.
[49:14]Why?
[49:15]Because success is defined as an intellectual taste and failure is defined
[49:26]as an intellectual pain.
[49:30]Meanwhile, success comes with effort.
[49:37]Likewise, failure also comes with effort.
[49:43]Success I repeat is less a intellectual taste but failure is intellectual
[49:55]pain.
[49:54]Now why is success an intellectual taste?
[49:57]Because there are two types of taste.
[49:59]We have sensory taste and we have intellectual taste.
[50:05]Sensory taste for example the weather condition is hot.
[50:13]You happen to visit a friend and he offers you a cold
[50:15]glass of water or a cold glass of orange juice.
[50:18]Now when you drink the juice, what happen?
[50:22]You feel good.
[50:24]But how long does it last?
[50:25]I want us to reflect on this.
[50:28]You exhausted.
[50:30]You are given a cold juice.
[50:35]You take it.
[50:34]You feel good.
[50:35]1 hour, way less than 1 hour, you'll forget of the taste.
[50:42]That's what we call sensory taste.
[50:43]But say for example you are looking for one mas Allah or
[50:47]you are a researcher in your work.
[50:49]Oh no you are an ordinary Muslim she something is bothering you.
[50:53]You looking for solution writing to your scholar or writing to your
[51:01]eventually you get the answer.
[51:01]How do you feel?
[51:04]You feel very good.
[51:04]That is an intellectual taste and that is what success is all
[51:06]about.
[51:09]But if I prefer my comfort, I'm sent to university, I'm offered
[51:17]a job, I don't really pay attention to it, I sleep on
[51:24]the desk, it's also going to be painful in future.
[51:26]It's a failure, but it's going to be very painful.
[51:30]You and colleagues go to university same time they making effort.
[51:35]You are not making effort.
[51:37]If you enjoying gluing to your screen hope eventually they become medical
[51:43]doctors you become a failure.
[51:43]So in short success is an intellectual test and failure is an
[51:50]intellectual pain.
[51:53]Now let's go to the second stage of the examination.
[51:56]Divisions of success into true or real success and elucorary success.
[52:05]Otherwise uh in other words real success and fake success.
[52:14]Now to appreciate these two divisions it will be you are you
[52:21]are kindly requested to come forward.
[52:27]Come forward inshallah.
[52:41]To appreciate these two divisions of success, I need to refer my
[52:51]dear brothers and sisters to a to a sociological theory.
[52:57]The theory of expansion of existence.
[53:03]There is no human being who doesn't love life.
[53:08]We all love life.
[53:10]We all want to expand.
[53:13]We want to make more money.
[53:17]We want to become more famous.
[53:19]You know why?
[53:19]Because the strongest instinct in us is giza is the instinct of
[53:28]love for self.
[53:29]Who doesn't love himself?
[53:32]Raise up your hand.
[53:34]Everyone loves themselves because there's that instinct in you.
[53:39]But you know what?
[53:40]Each one of us from a child of one year old to
[53:47]the oldest, we do not express our love for life.
[53:55]Same way we express our love for life depending on our ages.
[54:00]Now I'm going to refer you to a verse of the Quran.
[54:05]When you get them inshallah say after a go back to this
[54:08]verse and ex and you know and expound your understanding chapter alid
[54:15]verse number 20.
[54:17]Allah tab wa'ala in this beautiful verse highlights on how each and
[54:28]every age category express their love for life.
[54:30]Remember we all love life.
[54:34]We all want to expand.
[54:38]We want to be seen as the best but we don't do
[54:44]it the same.
[54:42]Now look at the ayah.
[54:45]Allah says Well, I will look at the salation quickly then we
[54:58]look at how we express our love for life depending on our
[55:03]ages.
[55:01]Allah says indeed life of this world is a play.
[55:08]It's amusement beauty mutual rivalry and is multiplicity of children and wealth.
[55:17]Now I want us please let's reflect on this.
[55:22]It's so beautiful how each and every one of us express our
[55:26]love for life.
[55:28]Allah first says what indeed the life of this world is a
[55:35]play.
[55:33]Not everyone of us expresses his life for life by play.
[55:41]This line is referring to children up to seven years old.
[55:45]They express their love for life by playing.
[55:50]That is why one of the best ways to teach children of
[55:54]that age is to make sure you become emotional with them and
[55:57]play with them more.
[56:00]Children of that age, if you do not play with them, you
[56:04]don't become more emotional with them, they will grow and they are
[56:07]still playful.
[56:08]That's why sometime you have some elders, they are still playful unfortunately
[56:12]because they missed it before.
[56:15]Yes.
[56:16]But I I I'm not saying go and start checking people.
[56:21]But these children they express their love for life by play.
[56:28]That's what second you know what Allah says amusement.
[56:32]What is amusement is to consider what is secondary primary and what
[56:38]is primary secondary.
[56:40]You know who do that?
[56:41]Adolescent.
[56:42]You've got an adolescent in the house.
[56:44]You're telling them this is good for you.
[56:47]No, no, papa.
[56:50]This is not.
[56:48]They express their love for life by considering what is primary, secondary,
[56:56]and what is secondary, primary.
[57:00]Number three, Allah says he beauty.
[57:03]Not everyone expresses his love for life by beauty.
[57:08]We are talking of those in their 20ies.
[57:11]Yes.
[57:13]Yes.
[57:13]You may find old people I want timberland, I want balls.
[57:18]These are okay.
[57:18]But those in their 20s up to entering 30, they express their
[57:25]love followed by beauty.
[57:25]The father is buying the car.
[57:27]It's not their car, but they want the father to buy the
[57:30]best of the cars in the market.
[57:31]You buying a watch, it's not their watch.
[57:33]And they are not your wife or husband, but they want you
[57:37]to buy the best because they express, don't you see their haircut?
[57:40]They express their love for life by beauty.
[57:44]But look at the next one.
[57:48]That's where we all fall in.
[57:49]Meaning myself.
[57:49]What?
[57:51]Mutual rivalry.
[57:53]Those in their 40s express their love for life by mutual rivalry.
[57:57]I'm the best speaker in the market.
[58:00]My brand is the best brand.
[58:05]I am this and that.
[58:05]We express our love for life by mutual rivalry.
[58:09]Habibi.
[58:10]Check yourself and check your age.
[58:12]You'll appreciate what I'm talking about.
[58:14]Last group, senior citizens, 50 going.
[58:18]Alhamdulillah.
[58:22]You know how our fathers, mothers expect their love for life?
[58:26]Mashallah.
[58:27]Look at my children.
[58:27]Look at my wealth.
[58:30]Mah done.
[58:31]Well, yeah.
[58:31]This choro is who?
[58:34]It's mine.
[58:34]They happy.
[58:36]They otherwise this young boy is not expressing his love for life
[58:41]by showing a lot of money and and and children.
[58:42]Senior citizens they express their love for life by the amount of
[58:52]wealth and the amount of children they have.
[58:54]Now interestingly Quran comes for and says all these are not real
[59:02]success.
[59:05]Allah says the play, the amusement, the beauty, the mutual rivalry, multiplicity
[59:11]in wealth and children, these are relative success.
[59:15]Some scholars call it fake success but better relative success.
[59:20]Why?
[59:21]Because they are prerequisite to the real success for the senior citizens.
[59:30]You know not only sinners actually when a person reaches 40 in
[59:38]life the person begins to sense danger.
[59:40]Ask anyone who is 40.
[59:44]You know why?
[59:44]Because you know the chances of doing another 40 in this world
[59:51]is so slim.
[59:51]This our father mashallah Muhammad is a blessing for this community.
[59:56]People like them are great blessing of Allah.
[60:00]So you know because people know they will not get another 40
[60:05]80 what they do if they have money business what do they
[60:07]do they put in the name of their children you know why
[60:12]because they thinking that if they do that although they may not
[60:15]be in this world the name of the family will continue kanji
[60:22]nani punja the name is going to continue but Allah says fine
[60:27]these are all successes alhamdulillah But these are not real success.
[60:32]Now question what is a real success?
[60:38]Chapter verse 97.
[60:42]Allah makes it crystal clear.
[60:43]Real success is what?
[60:56]We will surely grant him or her a good living.
[61:04]Good living is a real success.
[61:08]What is a good living?
[61:13]Soon and peace of mind.
[61:16]Most of the people of the wealth of this world cannot sleep
[61:21]and many poor the moment they go to bed their eyes closed.
[61:30]Real success is peace of mind.
[61:41]That's real success.
[61:44]And Allah makes it verse 127.
[61:57]You want to deprive yourself of the real success, then ignore the
[62:03]remembrance of Allah.
[62:06]Meanw what?
[62:09]ignore servitude to Allah.
[62:11]Allah says if you ignore my remembrance be ready for a difficult
[62:19]life.
[62:19]Difficult life doesn't mean you don't have the wealth of this world.
[62:24]Difficult life means what?
[62:25]For whatever reason you realize something is missing in you.
[62:28]You may have everything children.
[62:31]You may have the wealth of this world but something is missing
[62:35]somewhere.
[62:36]You're not sure.
[62:35]I met one extremely rich man.
[62:37]It's late now.
[62:40]Extremely rich.
[62:41]The time I met him, he was worth $500 million.
[62:46]Sh.
[62:48]So I asked him, "Are you happy?" So he removed his wallet.
[62:53]He said, "Sh, take my wallet.
[62:55]Open.
[62:55]What do you see?" I said, "I see nothing inside." He said,
[62:59]"When I see money, I feel disgusted because it smells." I said,
[63:05]"But you have everything." He said, "Well, something is missing.
[63:09]I don't know what is missing here." He said, "She, I've been
[63:12]everywhere in this world.
[63:14]I have money, but I don't know why." I said to him,
[63:20]"One thing is missing.
[63:22]God will use it.
[63:35]And Allah again in Quran we quoted it before Quran 3 verse
[63:41]number 14 Allah tells us all these things we've mentioned of this
[63:47]amusement of play they are just enjoyment of this world either wives
[63:58]either husbands either sons either gold Allah these are all enjoyment of
[64:13]this world but the best ending is with Allah what ayah says
[64:21][Music] don't be deceived by the movement of those who disbelieve in
[64:29]Allah they are enjoying they are in luxurious life Allah says Why
[64:33]you stress about it?
[64:37]This is just a small enjoyment.
[64:41]So bottom line, real success is what is sukun.
[64:46]And what is sukun is when you have Allah.
[64:50]Now please come with me.
[64:51]Let's take a journey.
[65:05]He practically demonstrated what real success is all about.
[65:12]And what I'm going to mention now again I plead with you
[65:14]when you have time make your own research approached on the 10th
[65:24]day of Muharam through six steps.
[65:27]I'm just going to mention quickly carbala wasn't easy.
[65:34]I'm not talking of the heat of the weather condition.
[65:38]Enemies were up in arm.
[65:41]There were ladies, there were women.
[65:46]Can you imagine the mental health of the camp of Imam Hussein?
[65:49]Just imagine.
[65:50]I want you just picture this.
[65:53]How did I imam Hussein approach it?
[65:55]because I want us to appreciate what true success is all about
[66:02]and what true success does in our lives.
[66:05]My dear brothers and sisters, the first approach of Im Hussein to
[66:13]the entire event of is Hussein rushed to worshiping Allah.
[66:25]We quoted that before.
[66:29]The eve of Aishur was the most difficult moment.
[66:33]What did Mus do?
[66:37]Baraza.
[66:37]No chithat.
[66:39]No.
[66:38]Each and every companion including the children were doing salah to prepare
[66:49]for the next day.
[66:52]They were praying.
[66:54]One reason tells us that Amir whenever he experienced unpleasant situation the
[67:04]next available opportunity Im would do.
[67:10]So imus approach it on a first level.
[67:15]You are going through stress in your life.
[67:17]Business not going well, family issues, community issues.
[67:25]It brings wallahun to the heart.
[67:29]That's where the real success is.
[67:33]Im Hussein second approach.
[67:35]My dear brothers and sisters, if I im began the entire mission
[67:44]with dua, I'll just quote few line of the dua, not all.
[67:47]Imam came out, he raised up his hand, he looked at the
[67:51]sky, he said, dua, that's the first dua I made on the
[68:00]10th day of Muhamad.
[68:02]If you know about Allahbar, it's long dua.
[68:15]Imm says, "Ya Allah, you are my trustworthy in every difficulty and
[68:25]you are my hope in every challenge that I'm going to face.
[68:32]So second way to achieve real success is dua did you attend
[68:39]or did you recite yourself you don't attend you do it in
[68:46]the house Allah gave us this through the blessings of to keep
[68:51]us going number three abundant remembrance of Allah Because you know I
[69:03]im Hussein had Cathol which is the battlefield and then you have
[69:07]the some scholars said it is saf and mara and but what
[69:15]was he doing in between because he would go a matter he
[69:22]would pick up the m can you imagine and I im would
[69:23]rush he would place the matter somewhere before he could finish another
[69:27]one is chopped on the He would rush and go and pick
[69:33]Allah.
[69:42]Im Hussein even recited verse of the Holy Quran.
[69:46]You want in your life?
[69:49]Make with your tongue until your system get used to zikar.
[69:55]That's number three.
[69:57]Number four approach of Im Hussein is establishment of salah.
[70:06]You cannot be a true SH without salah.
[70:10]You will never and ever attain the sha and the intercession of
[70:15]B without salah.
[70:17]Kbala was difficult but Im did not give it did not give
[70:22]excuse.
[70:23]Zuru was number five approach of Imam Hussein is what he prepared
[70:35]his entire camp for the tragedy life you need to prepare anything
[70:43]can happen at any point in time.
[70:45]So what he did he start with Z first he looks at
[70:47]her he said He said, "Oh my dear sister Zanab, prepare for
[71:01]the tragedy.
[71:01]It's a reality Zab." But note that Zanab, all those on earth
[71:08]will perish likewise those in heaven will perish.
[71:11]He prepared her psychologically for the tragedy.
[71:12]Then he looked at his companions.
[71:15]He said, He said, "Oh my beloved companions, prepare for the tragedy
[71:30]and know that Allah will protect you.
[71:32]Allah will salvage you and will make your ending the best of
[71:40]all ending." Now last approach of Imam Hussein very fascinating approach.
[71:45]He relied, this last approach is made up of three approaches.
[71:50]He relied on three spiritual stages stages.
[71:58]The first one is the second one is and the third one
[72:07]is this is deep and he mentioned all these three actually what
[72:19]is my friend you are going through a lot of problems in
[72:24]your life left right issues you try your level You trying, you
[72:28]trying, you working very hard to resolve the issue.
[72:32]Then you said, you know what?
[72:34]I'm trying, but I'm going to rely on Allah.
[72:36]You not stop trying, you trying, and you rely on Allah.
[72:44]That's what we call.
[72:42]That's the lowest spiritual stage.
[72:47]Second stage is you going through the troubles in your life.
[72:53]But then what do you say?
[72:56]Allah, I am happy for this.
[72:58]I'm happy.
[73:00]I'm not complaining.
[73:02]I'm not even asking you to take me out of it.
[73:03]I'm happy.
[73:08]That's you.
[73:12]Look at their lives.
[73:15]I'm happy cuz you know better than me.
[73:17]Hussein said, "I found it so easy because it's under your watchful
[73:24]eyes." Now, the highest level is tasim surrender.
[73:26]You know what is the sleep of Allah?
[73:28]You gave the money.
[73:29]You've taken away from me.
[73:30]You've taken away from me.
[73:30]What's the problem?
[73:33]What was the problem?
[73:35]What's the problem?
[73:37]You gave the health and you love me more than I love
[73:41]myself.
[73:41]I leave it in your hand.
[73:43]You decide what you want.
[73:46]I'm not going to complain.
[73:47]That is highest level.
[73:48]This is not a joke.
[73:52]This need a workshop.
[73:58]You gave me Ali Asar.
[74:03]You took away.
[74:02]You took away.
[74:07]You gave me a You took Akbar away.
[74:14]That's why Z said is the highest level.
[74:21]We need to work on our spirituality, brothers and sisters.
[74:27]We need to aim high when it comes to our spirituality.
[74:31]So that's how Im approach it.
[74:35]Last stage of the examination is very simple.
[74:38]A is success and failure a permanent conditions or not mean what
[74:47]if mashallah now I'm praying mashallah will it continue like that or
[74:53]it will change?
[74:55]Here I'm going to mention three simple things which scholars call three
[75:02]attribute we have in life.
[75:03]The first one they call it as principal attributes.
[75:07]What is principal attribute is the choice you have.
[75:10]Everybody has a choice isn't it?
[75:11]You've got the you've got the choices.
[75:13]There's no difference between Mr.
[75:15]Kanji and anyone else here.
[75:17]We all have the choices hab that's principal attribute.
[75:20]But the second one this is good for parents we call it
[75:25]accidental attributes.
[75:27]You know every child when they come to this world they come
[75:30]with inherited traits.
[75:32]Sometime you have a children two children siblings of the same family.
[75:36]This one is too mean.
[75:39]This one is too calm.
[75:39]This what they call accidental attribute inherited attribute.
[75:44]Now this is not ill.
[75:47]It's not a complete cause.
[75:48]You can change that.
[75:51]Third one.
[75:50]What interest me obtainable attribute but you can change your destiny.
[76:01]Your destiny is in your hand.
[76:05]It's not in anybody's hand.
[76:05]It's not in the hand of the molana who teaches you.
[76:10]It's in your hand.
[76:11]The earlier you wake up to the realization the better.
[76:15]Your life is in your hand.
[76:19]is not in anybody's hands.
[76:23]So success is not by destiny.
[76:28]Success is by choice.
[76:32]That is why verse 39 and 40 says is nothing but his
[76:47]efforts.
[76:48]If you are lazy, you're lazy.
[76:51]We believe in the principle of cause and effect.
[76:54]Yes.
[76:55]Allah is so powerful.
[76:57]He intervenes from time to time.
[76:59]But your destiny is in your hand.
[77:01]You make effort, your effort will be seen.
[77:05]My dear brothers and sisters, one ayah we quoted before verse 29.
[77:13]In conclusion, we have this tradition that people ask.
[77:18]But why the holy prophet says that prophet said successful one is
[77:29]successful right from the womb of his mom and the failure is
[77:34]failure right from the womb of his mom.
[77:37]Why you telling me it's by choice?
[77:38]I said no no no no.
[77:39]Imam Si was asked this same question.
[77:41]He said is successful in the knowledge of Allah.
[77:52]Meaning Allah knows you'll be successful and Allah knows you'll be failure
[77:56]but that doesn't mean that Allah is the cause of your failure.
[78:00]Say you have a son you sent to university every year examination
[78:03]results come he fails.
[78:06]You try to help him out he fails.
[78:10]You try so many times he fails.
[78:11]But then somebody comes and tell you you know what she why
[78:14]don't you try this teacher this lecturer is good you try but
[78:18]at the back of your mind you know that you will fail
[78:21]again are you the cause of the failure of your son no
[78:24]so Allah is never the cause of our failure we are the
[78:30]cause of our failures and we are the cause of our success
[78:34]and Abbas demonstrated that He taught us it is by choice, not
[78:53]by destiny.
[78:54]Tonight, brothers and sisters.
[78:58]It's a big night.
[79:01]It's the night of the fulfillment of our Hajj.
[79:05]It is the night of Hazat Abbas.
[79:10]Let's take our hearts to the holy land of Karbala.
[79:20]She gave away her children to Imus.
[79:26]She gave Abbas to say Shuada on the 10th day of Muharam.
[79:34]Bin taught us never and ever forget the maj of Imus.
[79:43]Narration tells us would go to Jenna.
[79:49]She would collect the sand of Jatbaki and she would make five
[79:57]domes out of the sand of Jatbaki.
[80:00]She would sit and cry until the enemy of Alwan upon hearing
[80:09]the voice of Banin he would also cry.
[80:13]They came to Omal Banin they asked her oh um Banin Arab
[80:20]why making five domes you only lost four sons.
[80:26]She said the fifth dome is for my son Hussein.
[80:29]But what is really touchy is that Imam approached Ban.
[80:38]He said to Ban, I heard that when every companion of Imam
[80:44]Hussein was mentioned, you would cry.
[80:47]But when Abbas was mentioned, you never cried Omul.
[80:53]She looked at Immina and she said to him, "I do not
[81:05]believe my Abbas would let Hussein down." This was the moment when
[81:12]I began to narrate the of Abbas.
[81:13]I said, "Oh, I saw our uncle rode his horse.
[81:23]uncle headed towards the water of Farat.
[81:25]The enemies came and surrounded him.
[81:29]They attacked him.
[81:28]He weded them off.
[81:32]Abbas Alisam went to the water.
[81:34]When he was about to drink the water, he called out, "Oh
[81:37]my soul, will you drink from this cold water when your master
[81:44]Hussein will be fed from the syrup of death?" He said, "Oh,
[81:47]Omal Bin did not drink the water.
[81:49]I saw uncle trying to hold the water and the flag.
[81:55]He came and rode his horse.
[81:57]Uncle began to someone appeared from behind and he struck the right
[82:06]arm of uncle.
[82:07]He said, "Oh, at this moment, Uncle Abas was trying to hold
[82:14]unto the flag, but suddenly someone appeared from behind and he struck
[82:22]the left arm of Abbas." He said, "Oh, Omalin, I saw uncle
[82:27]falling down." As uncle was falling down, Harala struck the arrow to
[82:35]the right eye of Abbas.
[82:37]But you know what?
[82:39]This next line breaks the heart of the lover of Abbas and
[82:41]Fatim Zah.
[82:45]Ayatahi one night recited the majus of Abbas in Kbala.
[82:52]After the majist he went back home.
[82:57]He said while I was sleeping I saw Fatimat Zahara in my
[83:00]dream.
[83:01]But when I saw her she was crying in the dream.
[83:05]She was so sad and I thought I made mistakes in the
[83:08]mah of Abas.
[83:11]So I asked her, "Oh, did I make mistake in the mah
[83:18]of Abasa?" She said to him, "No, but I want you to
[83:19]remember one line.
[83:23]Whenever you recite the ma of Abbasa, note that when someone is
[83:27]on a horse and the person is falling from the horse and
[83:32]when he's falling in front of the horse, he will normally fall
[83:38]with the two hands in front.
[83:40]She said, "Oh, but my abos when he fell of the horse,
[83:48]he fell without any hand." This narration tells us when sab came
[83:53]back to carbala from shamb she went to the grave of Abbas
[83:59]and she called out oh my brother Abbas wake up to protect
[84:06]us the poem make us to imagine this he said it's like
[84:08]Zanab is saying oh abbas I will borrow you my two hands
[84:14]so that you can take us back to Medina it's like Zanab
[84:17]saying oh Abbas I will borrow you my eyes so that you
[84:24]can look after us.
[84:24]Narish tells us at this moment Abbas was on the ground.
[84:32]They rushed to the body of Abbas.
[84:34]They began hitting Abbas on the ground.
[84:38]Imam Zi said, "Oh Banin, I know you love Sukina a lot.
[84:45]You know, Sukayena was the one who told us Uncle Abbas was
[84:52]dying.
[84:49]asked mom, "How did tell you uncle is going?" He said to
[84:58]her, "When Uncle Abas was in the field, Sukina was on the
[85:01]shoulder of Saab." Suddenly, Sukina called out, "Auntie Zena, I see the
[85:10]flag falling down." narration tells us Abdullah began to rush towards the
[85:23]body of Abbas.
[85:23]As he was approaching the body of Abbas, Abbas didn't know who
[85:29]was coming.
[85:31]He called out please if you are here to hurt me please
[85:35]hurt me after I bid farewell to my master Abbas Hussein.
[85:40]As they said, each companion was calling Hussein, but Hussein was calling
[85:46]Abbas.
[85:47]Hussein said, "Oh, Abas, since the day you were born, when my
[85:51]face saw you, I developed love for you." Abas said, "Oh my,
[85:58]I am sorry.
[86:01]I will not be there to protect you." He said, "Oh my
[86:07]Han, say sorry to Sukina." He said, "Oh my Hussein, say sorry
[86:13]to Zaba.
[86:12]I will not be there to protect the Auntie Zab." Allahbar sister
[86:20]Zab.
[86:22]Then he said, "Oh Hussein, when I was born, I saw your
[86:25]face.
[86:26]But when I'm dying, I cannot see your face anymore." Allah abar.
[86:32]Narration tells us Abbas was on the lap of Hussein.
[86:38]He moved his head from the lap of Hussein.
[86:41]Hussein asked him Abas why are you removing your head from my
[86:50]lap?
[86:51]He said Hussein here I am dying and I am on your
[86:54]lap whereas in few moment someone will attack you and I will
[87:02]not be there to protect you.
[87:03]I'll leave you this last line.
[87:05]I said, "Oh Abbas, had you seen how shimmer sat on the
[87:08]chest of Hussein?" I said, "Oh Abbas, have you seen how Shim
[87:14]ped the lips of Hussein?" I said, "Oh Abbos, have you seen
[87:24]how ran away with the head of Hai?" Upon hearing this, she
[87:30]said to immediately let Hussein down, but I didn't cry for him
[87:36]because there was no one to cry for Hussein.
[87:55]hands.
[87:55]Inshallah, may Allah fulfill our hajj.
[87:59]We do have who are not well.
[88:04]May Allah make it easy for them.
[88:06]Inshallah, may Allah protect our children with his protection.
[88:10]Inshallah, Allah grant us the visitation of Abbas, our uncle Muhammad, nor
[88:17]Muhammad and all those who are not well Ab.
[88:20]May Allah make it easy for them inshallah.

[140:14]You follow nothing.
[140:46]Muhammad Muhammad Salwatahman Rahim in the name of Allah the most compassionate
[140:58]the most merciful respected elders brothers and sisters alaykum every year since
[141:08]2020 the Wessex volunteer team has had the honor of launching the
[141:12]Alamdar water appeal during the sacred nights of Muharam.
[141:17]A humble effort inspired by the timeless legacy of Abul Fil Abbas.
[141:21]In previous years, your heartfelt support has allowed us to provide clean
[141:25]lifesaving water to communities across Africa, offering hope and dignity to family
[141:32]families for whom even a single glass of clean water was once
[141:38]a luxury.
[141:38]This year we turn our attention to Pakistan where so many continue
[141:44]to live without reliable access to safe water.
[141:46]Our project is being delivered through Babul Ilm Foundation UK, a charity
[141:53]whose founder moved many of us with his powerful presentation right here
[141:58]at Wessex.
[141:56]And we are honored that our guest speaker Shik Nuru Muhammad is
[142:01]himself a patron of the foundation.
[142:06]A testament to the integrity and impact of their work.
[142:09]Our target this year is to build 34 wells.
[142:13]Each one symbolizing a year in the life of Mola Abbas, the
[142:17]brave standard standard bearer of Kerbala, whose sacrifice was defined not by
[142:22]words, not by silence, selfless service.
[142:26]He died with dry lips yet returned from the river with no
[142:32]water so that the mission of truth could live on.
[142:38]Each well costs £55 and whilst the price is small, the meaning
[142:42]is immeasurable.
[142:42]Every contribution becomes a drop of mercy.
[142:45]Every well becomes a legacy of compassion and every act of giving
[142:50]becomes a whisper of devotion to the one who stood beside Imam
[142:56]Hussein.
[142:57]am until his final breath.
[142:57]Let us honor Abu F Abbas not just in our mourning but
[143:03]in our action.
[143:02]Let us give water in his name to those who thirst and
[143:08]in doing so bring comfort to our own souls.
[143:11]If you have any questions or would like to support the appeal,
[143:14]please do not hesitate to reach out to Muhammad Hassan Banji or
[143:18]Raza Alu.
[143:19]Payment details and a reference to use when donating can be found
[143:23]on the poster.
[143:25]May Allah accept your generosity and may it be a source of
[143:29]reward, healing and nearness to theam in this life and the next.
[143:43]Manimal alaykum dear Moham.
[143:48]Um my name is Alibabas Karali and I serve as a part
[143:54]of the parking team here at WestX Jamaat.
[143:54]And each night, alhamdulillah, me and my fellow volunteers, we get the
[143:58]opportunity to stand outside and serve you all.
[144:02]Um when you arrive, we direct the cars, greet the families, and
[144:08]do our part to help everything run smoothly before you enter the
[144:13]center.
[144:12]And while I'm often outside at the beginning of the programs trying
[144:17]to squeeze in all the cars right next to each other, I
[144:20]still feel the baraka that fills Al Madi Center every night.
[144:23]Alhamdulillah.
[144:25]Tonight is a night of Abul Ful, the eighth night.
[144:29]And tonight is no ordinary night because it's Juma as well.
[144:35]So I come to you not as a speaker but uh simply
[144:37]as a volunteer trying to serve the community.
[144:40]Make make your arrival and your experience smooth as possible.
[144:44]From where we stand, we see the family arriving in haste.

[145:20]hazat abas the one who gave everything's arms for abdah help the
[145:26]center meet our muhar Harum targets for fundraising so that our children,
[145:30]our youths, our elders continue to benefit from the center and from
[145:36]the center and malis we have built together.
[145:38]We are still 14,118 short.
[145:42]This is your chance to answer the call of halmina.
[145:47]We couldn't be in Karabala today.
[145:51]We couldn't be with M Hussein in Karbala a few 114 14,000
[145:54]years ago.
[145:55]But we are here in Almadi Center remembering him and this is
[145:59]your chance to answer his call.
[146:00]Inshallah I can confidently say inshallah half the amount will be covered
[146:05]tonight.
