[24:14]family, the Jaffer family, the Chandu family, Pardan family, the Maoji family,
[24:20]and the Ifan Mo family, Ala Inshallah the topic for tonight's majus
[24:42]is rise with purpose unleashing ambition and high resolve.
[24:47]Kindly join me in welcoming Sheikh Nur Muhammad to the member with
[24:51]a recitation of three loud salawat.
[24:52]Allah Muhammad Ali Muhammad Muhammad.
[25:25]Hallelujah.
[25:56]All [Music] [Music] come Oh, [Music] [Music] [Music] speech speech.
[26:50]Foreom [Music] [Music] For the love of imbi Abdah Hussein with the
[27:43]loudness of our voices.
[27:54]for a purification of our hearts and hastening of the reappearance of
[28:00]our beloved the 12th Imam with the loudest of our voices.
[28:12]Once again my dear brothers and sisters, lovers and the followers of
[28:20]we thank almighty Allahala for giving us the sixth night of the
[28:29]holy months of muharam.
[28:31]We pray that Allah wa'ala accept our humble efforts in these holy
[28:40]months of muharam.
[28:41]The verse I've just quoted from the glorious Quran is Quran 9
[28:48]verse 105.
[28:52]Allah says that acts and indeed Allah will witness your actions.
[29:06]likewise his messenger and the believers and then you will one day
[29:14]return to Allah and you will be informed of what you do
[29:24]in this world.
[29:24]Now dividing from this beautiful verse, our topic of tonight is unleashing
[29:35]ambition and high resolve.
[29:37]The purpose behind tonight's discourse, inshallah, is to get us thinking on
[29:48]how to be reasonably ambitious and not to be satisfied with the
[29:59]little effort we make and the little achievement we managed.
[30:05]but to aspire for excellence.
[30:10]Examination of tonight inshallah will be of the following three stages.
[30:15]The first stage will discuss the importance of self-nowledge.
[30:23]Second stage of our examination, we'll look at the importance of ambition.
[30:30]And then the last stage of our examination will inshallah discuss individual
[30:38]and collective ambition.
[30:40]So kindly once again pay attention brothers and sisters.
[30:44]Let us try to learn something from the holy Quran and the
[30:48]traditions of our beloved prophet and [Music] first stage of the examination
[31:02]the importance of self-nowledge what we all know as now I and
[31:17]you know very well the main essence of life is to find
[31:21]Allah whatever we do to the community service to our families at
[31:34]the end of it all there's only one result Allah expects from
[31:40]us to become his true slaves and servants.
[31:47]And so whatever Islam discusses, be it in the holy Quran or
[31:55]the traditions of our beloved prophet and al the aim is for
[31:59]I and you to find Allah.
[32:02]That is why Hussein [Music] And online in Arafa says, "What has
[32:18]he lost?
[32:20]Who has found you?
[32:22]And what has he found?
[32:24]Who has lost you?" Once you have Allah, you have everything.
[32:31]You will have everything of this world.
[32:33]You are famous.
[32:35]You are the most learned person.
[32:37]You are the most respected person.
[32:39]If you do not have Allah, you have nothing.
[32:45]And so Allaharala in the Holy Quran introduces us to two major
[32:55]ways of knowing him and connecting with him.
[32:59]Surah ful verse number 53 Allah says Allah says indeed we will
[33:27]show them our signs in the universe and in themselves.
[33:30]until it transpires to them that Allah is indeed the h the
[33:40]truth.
[33:38]So if you examine this line, Allah is trying to highlight that
[33:45]there are two ways of connecting with him and knowing Allah through
[33:55]universe and knowing Allah through oneself.
[33:59]Yes.
[34:00]Paul refer to these two as what?
[34:04]External knowledge and internal knowledge.
[34:05]External way of knowing Allah and internal way of knowing Allah.
[34:14]Example of external way of knowing Allah is to sit somewhere and
[34:17]communicate with the nature.
[34:20]Look around you.
[34:22]Whatever you see there is a and the internal way of knowing
[34:32]Allah.
[34:30]There are so many examples.
[34:33]One example is marriage.
[34:34]Hence, Allah tala says in the holy Quran, marriage is one of
[34:42]my signs.
[34:42]But it's not an external way of knowing Allah.
[34:44]Marriage is an internal way of knowing Allah.
[34:49]Another example of internal way of knowing Allah which I'm going to
[34:58]focus more is knowing who you are.
[34:59]Knowing yourself now I beg you brothers and sisters pay attention to
[35:05]what I'm going to mention.
[35:08]Selfnowledge or navs are of two types.
[35:19]We have what is called esoteric knowledge and we have a creative
[35:31]or innovative knowledge.
[35:35]Please pay attention to this.
[35:38]It's crucial.
[35:36]The first one, esoteric knowledge.
[35:40]It's about knowing who you are.
[35:45]It's about knowing myself.
[35:45]Because if I don't know who you are, you are the most
[35:48]confused person living on this earth.
[35:54]Now to appreciate this esoteric knowledge, I refer my dear brothers and
[36:04]sisters to two realms.
[36:04]If you like two worlds, the physical real and the spiritual realm.
[36:14]What is spiritual real physical real?
[36:17]This world.
[36:19]Allah makes it crystal clear.
[36:27]Mul talks of physical realm.
[36:32][Music] Then the last verse of talks of spiritual realm.
[36:48]Now why mentioning these two world or these two realms is to
[36:56]appreciate the esoteric knowledge of knowing oneself.
[36:59]Sometimes one looks at him or herself within the framework of matter
[37:11]in a physical realm.
[37:13]Whenever you look at yourself in a physical realm or within the
[37:20]framework of matter, what happens?
[37:27]You realize that yourself is independent.
[37:28]It likes what it wants.
[37:31]It hates what it wants.
[37:34]It reflects the way it wants.
[37:39]That's when you look at yourself within physical realm.
[37:41]But no, when you look at yourself within the realm of divine
[37:54]kingdom, you will then realize that yourself is what scholars call or
[38:01][Music] you look at yourself within the domain of what?
[38:10]Spirituality.
[38:10]You realize that yourself is a true connection to Allah.
[38:15]Very important.
[38:18]You realize that you cannot do something within a second without Allah.
[38:28]But if I look at it physically, I think no, I am
[38:35]independent.
[38:34]I can do as I please.
[38:37]Look at it with your spiritual hearts.
[38:42]Then you realize that you are you are not something that has
[38:51]connection with Allah.
[38:54]La you are real connection to Allah.
[38:57]Because when I say you are something that has connection with Allah,
[39:01]it means what?
[39:02]You may be connected today and you are not connected tomorrow.
[39:06]You may be independent today and you are dependent tomorrow.
[39:09]But no, you are real connection to Allah.
[39:16]Simply means what?
[39:14]I cannot do anything without Allah.
[39:21]That is looking at yourself.
[39:26]Now come with me.
[39:29]Please follow me one after the other.
[39:33]How do I get to know myself in a malakuti way in
[39:45]a real of divine kingdom cuz when I do that then I
[39:50]will know myself properly.
[39:52]You know when Allah created each and every one of us, he
[39:58]placed within our hearts flashes of light.
[40:04]Scholars call it Wabat inside each and every one of us Muslim
[40:13]non-Muslim there is hidden divine light.
[40:19]Now to know yourself in a muti way you need to discover
[40:25]the light and once you discover the light you will know yourself
[40:30]and the moment you get to know yourself you will know Allah.
[40:35]Hence says there is a light in you discover it.
[40:46]Once you discover it, you will see Allah in everything.
[40:51]That is why it is said prophets of Allah did not come
[40:56]to this world to prove to us Allah exist.
[40:59]No.
[41:00]But they come to this world to say remove all the dust
[41:02]from your chest and heart and you will see Allah in everything.
[41:10]Now let me share some verses of the Quran with you to
[41:14]appreciate what I'm trying to put across.
[41:18]Remember you've got light in you.
[41:19]Discover the light and let the light manifest.
[41:23]Cuz if it manifest, you sort it.
[41:27]You'll know yourself and you'll connect with Allah because you are real
[41:30]connection to Allah.
[41:33]Look at chapter verse 22.
[41:38]Allah says, Whoever Allah expands his chest with Islam, that person is
[41:50]upon the light of his Lord.
[41:54]But for your heart to be expanded with Islam, for you to
[42:01]have that light, you need to make some effort which I will
[42:06]mention another ayah verse 122.
[42:09]Allah says, Allah says the one who is dead and we gave
[42:26]him life.
[42:28]Then we provided him with light with which he works with through
[42:33]people.
[42:34]Light.
[42:35]You have light in you.
[42:37]Let the light manifest and nobody will beg you to make your
[42:46]salah.
[42:44]Let the light manifest and no one will beg you to recite
[42:50]the holy Quran.
[42:53]Light is there.
[42:51]That is the we all have potentials to get closer to Allah.
[43:03]Again my dear brothers and sisters, you look at Verse 40 long
[43:09]ayah then Allah said whoever is not given light by Allah that
[43:18]person has no light.
[43:21]So you have light in you strive to discover the light then
[43:30]you will indeed know who you are.
[43:32]Again you know the ayah Allah is the light of the earth
[43:41]and heaven.
[43:40]Now question, how do I discover the light?
[43:45]So that I'm able to know myself.
[43:50]Simple thing.
[43:50]Don't ever commit sins intentionally.
[43:56]That's it.
[43:59]Because what happens?
[44:05][Music] He says when a person commits a sin, black spot appears
[44:16]on his chest in the heart.
[44:19]If you do not repent sincerely, the spot will spread.
[44:25]Then you do not relate to Allah.
[44:28]Quran is been recited.
[44:31]You feel nothing.
[44:31]You are reminded Allah Allah Allah you feel nothing.
[44:35]You sitting there salah time you feel nothing but when your friend
[44:42]calls you you jump.
[44:42]It's not normal.
[44:45]If Allah cannot convince you, no human being should be able to
[44:49]convince you.
[44:52]So sin it causes what scholars call is without it darkens the
[44:59]heart and once the heart is dark that's it you feel salat
[45:05]is boring you feel to go and sit in the mosque is
[45:07]boring you feel to open your Quran and recite it boring I
[45:11]ask you I ask myself a question since Ramadan when last did
[45:13]you open the holy Quran it's a rhetorical question you go home
[45:18]you answer yourself since the holy month of Ramadan.
[45:26]Did you open Quran or not?
[45:27]Well, did you see you and raise up your hand sincerely and
[45:33]spend few minutes to ask Allah dua for yourself?
[45:37]People don't have time.
[45:41]These things sound easy but people don't have time.
[45:46]So stay away from sins and you will be able to discover
[45:54]the light in you.
[45:54]And once you discover the light, you will know who you are.
[45:59]And once you know who you are, you'll be able to connect
[46:02]with Allah.
[46:03]Our biggest enemy, I promise you, my dear brothers and sisters, is
[46:08]our sins.
[46:11]As schol mentioned, there is one thing which is found everywhere.
[46:18]But little is felt about it.
[46:20]Allah Allah is everywhere.
[46:24]How much do you miss Allah in your life?
[46:28]Do you miss Allah?
[46:32]But it's everywhere.
[46:35]Why things that are not everywhere you miss?
[46:38]Cuz you make it priority or what?
[46:42]Wallah.
[46:43]When you strive for Allah, Allah will come to you in full.
[46:51]So that's what they call.
[46:58]The second simple one, creative or innovative knowledge.
[47:09]This second one is linked with my discussion unleashing ambition.
[47:18]Creative knowledge simply means every single self, every single person is made
[47:28]up of godgiven talent.
[47:31]The moment you are able to discover your talent, that moment you
[47:39]have this creative knowledge.
[47:42]What's your talent?
[47:46]Habibi, what's your talent?
[47:50]By Marav, what's your talent?
[47:56]Is your talent what you are doing now?
[48:00]How did you know that that's your talent?
[48:03]What you're doing now?
[48:04]I want us to think and reflect.
[48:09]Every naps are potential and ability.
[48:16]When you discover the potential of your naps, it means you have
[48:23]achieved creative or innovative knowledge.
[48:28]And that now leads me to the second stage of my examination.
[48:34]The importance of ambition.
[48:37]Kylie please pay attention to this.
[48:40]Let's try to learn something out of this.
[48:42]You see in sociology they said there are two types of people
[48:52]they call in Arabic and we have stereotypical personality and ambitious personality.
[49:06]Who is the typical personality?
[49:09]I'm someone who loves routine.
[49:15]I need to explain this properly.
[49:19]Okay.
[49:20]My plan is I want to finish my bachelor's degree.
[49:24]After that, inshallah, I secure a job.
[49:28]After that, inshallah, I get married.
[49:31]And once I'm married, if Allah bless me with children, alhamdulillah, then
[49:36]I'm sorted.
[49:36]That's stereotypical.
[49:40]personality.
[49:43]We have ambitious personality.
[49:47]Who is that?
[49:49]That mean okay fine plan now bachelor's degree done secure some job
[49:58]here and there work marriage come I do but aim is to
[50:03]go for master's degree.
[50:04]So I'm going to plant things and inshallah later on after master's
[50:11]degree aim is to go PhD.
[50:12]So that's I'm using education otherwise I'll give later on I'll give
[50:18]some many examples inshallah.
[50:19]Ambitious personality is someone who is purposeful.
[50:26]That person is not limited with the little Baba.
[50:32]We've got great potentials given to us by Allah.
[50:36]Do you know our potential?
[50:38]Im mentioned, do you think you are just a small atom when
[50:49]the entire world is in you?
[50:55]Allah made you on earth.
[50:56]You are of great potential.
[51:00]So ambitious personality is that person who says okay fine for now
[51:08]I'm focusing on my bachelor's degree but inshallah if I remain alive
[51:12]and I'm done with my bachelors work to get some income marriage
[51:16]come to protect my iman aim is to go on to pursue
[51:22]my master's degree inshallah if I remain alive and things goes well
[51:26]aim is to go for my PhD no as a speaker As
[51:31]a mulana my aim is what this year my lecture is this
[51:36]next year muharam I need to look at how am I going
[51:38]to improve my way you are a businessman don't be limited with
[51:45]the little that you have otherwise you remain boring baba you are
[51:51]khalifa of Allah on earth I repeat is proud of inan when
[52:01]he created In son he beautifully mentioned glory be to Allah who
[52:09]is the best of all creators.
[52:11]One ayah says he molded you and he perfected your molding.
[52:20]One ayah says he created you in the best possible way.
[52:32]So ambitious personality is aiming high reasonably so.
[52:40]Now to appreciate this better I'm going to discuss the following.
[52:46]Kindly please pay attention two things actually.
[52:51]The first one is collective of so many things and then the
[52:55]last one is one thing.
[52:57]First one what is ambition and what are the foundations of ambition?
[53:07]Three what are the factors of ambition and four what are the
[53:14]teachings of Islam regarding ambition?
[53:17]Let's unpack this and then we'll go to the last one.
[53:21]My dear brothers and sisters, ambition simply means to achieve a particular
[53:39]aim.
[53:40]We cannot live like this.
[53:43]We are ashful.
[53:46]You need to aim high reasonably.
[53:49]So I agree.
[53:50]Be satisfied but aim high.
[53:56]So ambition is what is to be determined in trying my level
[54:02]best exploring all tools available to me to achieve my aim.
[54:05]So long as it is in line with the teachings of Allah
[54:10]about.
[54:09]Now look at the second one.
[54:13]This is the highlight of tonight inshallah.
[54:15]What are the foundations of ambitious person?
[54:19]Meaning how do I become ambitious?
[54:26]First foundation meaning aim.
[54:31]What's your aim?
[54:33]Why are you here tonight?
[54:34]What's your why are you here?
[54:35]Why are you sitting here for a member?
[54:37]What do you want to achieve from this mist?
[54:41]Are you just ticking the boxes or you have an aim?
[54:44]You going to university, what's your aim?
[54:49]First foundation of an ambitious person is aim.
[54:54]This work that you are doing, what's your aim?
[54:57]Are you going to keep doing it until you die?
[55:00]Look at traditions of the prophet and B.
[55:05]The holy prophet mentioned you will continue to be regarded as a
[55:12]scholar as an so long as you continue to learn.
[55:20]But let me quote he said you know you learn it but
[55:31]the moment you say it is enough I'm not going to do
[55:33]anymore prophet said you are an ignorant from that moment yes because
[55:42]the way Allah designed us if you don't read and discover more
[55:48]it inhibit all the machineries given to you by Allah.
[55:51]Allah designed us in such a way that you need to keep
[55:56]exploring, keep discovering things.
[55:58]One tradition tells us [Applause] Sir, since last 10 years bachelor's degree
[56:14]why why since last 10 years same place work same place no
[56:24]promotion nothing you don't apply for certain courses to increase your knowledge
[56:28]there are so many free courses if you don't have money since
[56:33]last year so Quran you struggling to recite he's laughing Bro, this
[56:40]guy this guy is solid guy.
[56:51]Solid guy inshallah had a fear.
[57:00]I must have aim.
[57:02]That's the first foundation.
[57:04]You remember the tradition we quoted the other night?
[57:07]Allah blesses a servant who knows where he was, where he is,
[57:14]when he's going, aim.
[57:17]Today we hear people talking about tomorrow in discuss that more.
[57:21]What's my purpose in life?
[57:23]What's my purpose in life?
[57:24]What have you achieved so far?
[57:29]You know what I Musik mentioned?
[57:30]He said my sh they are those wherever they are they are
[57:37]the best highlight of that place.
[57:40][Music] You can't settle for low as a shear.
[57:50]You can't you have to reasonably aim high when you go to
[57:58]university.
[57:59]Aim to be the best student in a in academic when you
[58:05]are an employee somewhere.
[58:09]Aim to be the best employee in a in excellence when it
[58:13]comes to production.
[58:12]When you are an employer, aim to be high of first foundation
[58:21]is aim.
[58:23]Ask yourself this question.
[58:24]What's my aim now in life?
[58:28]Second foundation are thicker to be nerves.
[58:34]Trust in yourself that Allah will make it easy for you.
[58:44]You want to start, go for it.
[58:48]Trust Allah will help you.
[58:49]You want to pursue master's degree, go for it.
[58:52]Allah will help you.
[58:53]Believing and trusting in oneself doesn't means arrogance.
[59:00]In fact, in Islam to believe in oneself simply means learning from
[59:10]others.
[59:11]Imam mentioned the wittiest and the smartest person of all is the
[59:21]one who combines his intellect with that of the others.
[59:26]Be smart.
[59:28]This what is saying learn from others because narration says an opinionated
[59:39]person is perished.
[59:42]You think you know it all.
[59:44]You don't want to consult.
[59:45]You'll be stuck somewhere.
[59:47]So second foundation my dear brothers and sisters of ambitious personality is
[59:53]that they trust in themselves that Allah will help them to achieve
[59:58]their aim in life.
[59:59]Allah aim high brothers and sisters especially our youth.
[60:04]Don't settle for low.
[60:05]Yes, understand your circumstance but aim high and rely on Allah.
[60:11]Allah will see you through.
[60:12]Sky is the limit.
[60:14]You may be struggling today.
[60:16]I agree and I'll give examples of people like that.
[60:19]You may be struggling today but wallah if you remain humble and
[60:23]you keep working harder and harder and harder and seeking divine intervention
[60:28]whatever you do in life be it your business be it your
[60:35]education be it your social cycle be it your marriage Allah will
[60:38]elevate you to the status you never dreamed of.
[60:44]So please I beg you take this lesson seriously.
[60:49]Number three foundation They said cut your coat according to your size.
[61:07]You go to a designer tailor, you're not going to ask him
[61:14]to sew something for you which is too long.
[61:16]So be yourself.
[61:21]Don't make others life be criteria for your life.
[61:26]You know your circumstances.
[61:28]You know your weak points.
[61:32]You know your strength.
[61:31]But be yourself.
[61:36]When you are yourself and you are humble about it, you hire.
[61:43]Here in the UK or in the West, we've got what you
[61:49]call CPD, isn't it?
[61:51]CPD.
[61:51]You working every year, you need to upgrade.
[61:54]Why you don't upgrade Quran?
[62:00]Have you ever reread the whole life of Alb from the holy
[62:05]prophet to the 12 im?
[62:08]Do you have that book in your house?
[62:08]Like you upgrade Islam, you don't upgrade.
[62:11]How many years still zur not on time?
[62:20]Still zur you can't do it on time.
[62:24]You're having it on time.
[62:27]You can't try.
[62:30]one day one ayah Quran you can't upgrade yourself be yourself don't
[62:37]allow anybody influence in your life and Allah will see you through
[62:46]the last foundation very important be responsible of yourself take charge Take
[62:59]responsibility of your mess and take responsibility of your achievements but be
[63:06]humble about it.
[63:08]You know what Imam Ali said?
[63:09]He said, "Oh the son of Adam, days and night are working
[63:14]in you and taking from you.
[63:15]Why don't you work in days and night and take from them?"
[63:18]Allahbar every day and night these days and night are absorbing from
[63:25]you.
[63:28]In other words, try as much as you can to be productive.
[63:34]Take responsibility.
[63:37]You cannot continue giving excuses.
[63:40]If this course is not working for you for some reason, pause,
[63:45]inquire, discuss with those who know, change.
[63:53]If this work is not working for you, it's not too late.
[64:00]Discuss, find a way out, change.
[64:01]So take responsibility.
[64:05]Now the next question is what are the factors of ambition here?
[64:10]What do I mean?
[64:13]Meaning certain things we need to do to ensure that we remain
[64:22]ambitious.
[64:22]Number one I mentioned last night knowledge I know very well the
[64:33]holy prophet made it crystal clear knowledge acquisition has no time limit
[64:38]has no space limit and it has no gender limit religious religion
[64:47]Islamic religion is too vast I swear is too deep.
[64:54]The more you try to read, the more you realize you know
[64:59]nothing.
[65:00]You know today why people sometimes have questions they think it's difficult
[65:03]question cuz people don't read.
[65:07]We are not reading communities.
[65:10]Even people get newspaper on the buses they just checking the Liverpool
[65:16]and Chelsea.
[65:17]People don't read.
[65:20]You want to remain ambitious young ones.
[65:24]Alhamdulillah, I'm so excited that majority here are youth.
[65:27]I mentioned last night, some places you go, most of them are
[65:32]not youth.
[65:31]Read, discover, understand current affairs, understand your surrounding, read about politics, read
[65:43]about livelihoods, watch educational documentaries.
[65:47]Today we are in a global village but for me because that's
[65:53]my line of work.
[65:56]Read about Islam.
[65:56]Attend Islamic classes either online or on site because the moment you
[66:02]stop learning your intellect get inhibited.
[66:08]So that's number one.
[66:11]If I truly want to enhance my ambition.
[66:14]Number two, this goes to parent and our community leaders.
[66:19]We need to promote the culture of ambition in our houses, in
[66:25]our communities.
[66:26]Let our children grow in an environment where ambitions are encouraged.
[66:35]But of course with on Allah our community must be a community
[66:43]where the culture of ambition is promoted.
[66:47]We cannot remain like this.
[66:49]Alhamdulillah we have achieved so much but I believe we can even
[66:56]take it to the next level.
[67:00]Number three, let's do away with this thinking that only children born
[67:09]in a wealthy family will remain ambitious.
[67:13]That's not true.
[67:13]In fact, if you look at ambitious people across the globe, those
[67:19]who have achieved higher, they were all most of them from humble
[67:24]families and humble beginning.
[67:27]Example, look at Thomas Addison, the inventor of electricity.
[67:34]He started from a very humble beginning.
[67:38]Poor family, poor background.
[67:40]He tried so many times, then eventually he succeeded.
[67:48]Another example, read the story of extremely humble beginning at a very
[68:01]young age as I said tomorrow we'll discuss more about youth at
[68:06]a very young age he became an expert in so many fields
[68:13]be it philosophy be it economics be it Jewish prudence at a
[68:17]very young age our own beloved merger said read his story history.
[68:29]It was a humble beginning said be he was raised in a
[68:32]very humble family but look at the work of said hoi be
[68:39]it in be it ina and other areas of interest and so
[68:45]it is not true that if I'm in a family where people
[68:52]are not wealthy I will not be able to achieve my goal
[68:59]in life.
[68:57]That's not true.
[69:00]Last point on this, what the religion of Islam says, especially things
[69:09]we should not do at all.
[69:11]Number one, laziness.
[69:16]Laziness.
[69:17]Now you are okay.
[69:20]Don't let the comfort destroys you.
[69:24]mention whoever is lazy when it comes to his he will be
[69:31]even more lazy when it comes his so when I talk of
[69:39]being ambitious I'm talking of holistic in your social life in your
[69:47]physical material life in your spiritual life in your intellectual life be
[69:52]reasonably ambitious attack laziness because laziness can destroy me cuz I want
[70:00]my comfort.
[70:01]I'm doing now.
[70:03]It is working for me.
[70:03]Why should I be worried?
[70:05]Number two factor Islam says be worried of it or be wary
[70:11]of it is time wastage.
[70:15]Sitting and doing nothing if you have enough time after work a
[70:21]role on a course.
[70:23]Today we have so many e-housers a role on a course six
[70:30]months course to enhance your quality.
[70:36]World is evolving.
[70:38]Challenges are becoming more and more.
[70:41]We cannot be doing the same thing and expecting the same result.
[70:45]It's not going to work out.
[70:49]Things are changing.
[70:49]These young kids, they've got unbelievable difficult questions to ask.
[70:56]So time wastage, avoid it.
[71:00]The holy prophet said, "Allah hates someone who is sitting there and
[71:09]doing nothing." And naration says one hour being wasted in this will
[71:14]be a great loss on the day of every hour you waste.
[71:21]You're just sitting there doing nothing.
[71:23]It's not like you tired or exhausted.
[71:25]You're doing nothing.
[71:27]Wall you'll chew your finger on account of that on the day
[71:34]of.
[71:33]And then the last thing Islam mentioned is what?
[71:40]Indeed, a believer will be questioned of doing things that are unproductive
[71:48]in his or her life.
[71:50]You be spending one hour is it productive habibi every second you
[71:59]spent without productivity you'll be questioned about it on the day of
[72:04]in conclusion we have individual ambition we have collective ambition individual I
[72:13]mention a lot number one is knowledge increase your take your knowledge
[72:20]to the next level until the time you cannot then it's okay
[72:24]you and your wife a role on a course if you have
[72:29]time if you're not married as you raise your children instill in
[72:34]them and look all these things that we are mentioning it's not
[72:40]to become famous in this world no it's to be able to
[72:42]serve Islam and in particular the school of properly If I and
[72:50]you don't do it, nobody will do it for us.
[72:53]We are the minority of the minorities.
[72:54]Alhamdulillah, we are glad for what we have achieved so far.
[72:59]But I think we can even take it to the next level.
[73:01]We need to acquire knowledge to such an extent that people will
[73:07]be forced to come to us.
[73:08]If you are an engineer, take it to the next level.
[73:12]If you are a medical doctor, aim to take it to the
[73:14]next level.
[73:15]If you are a pharmacist, aim to take it to the next
[73:17]level.
[73:17]If you're a religious scholar like I'm a student, not a scholar,
[73:23]aim to take it to the next level.
[73:25]We must aim high, habibi, cuz at the end of the day,
[73:27]our imams are invaluables.
[73:34]But it's not only individuals.
[73:35]Communities also must aim high.
[73:38]So I leave you with these three things only for community.
[73:42]If individuals aim high and our communities are not aiming high, it's
[73:47]neither here nor there.
[73:51]Collective ambition mean what?
[73:54]We as communities, we need to know our short-term goal, medium-term goal,
[74:00]and long-term goal.
[74:02]Last year, where were where was your community?
[74:06]How is the community this year?
[74:09]I'm not talking of number of people.
[74:12]I'm talking of quality of what you do.
[74:18]You need to have a short-term goal.
[74:21]You have to medium-term goal to have long-term goal and then you
[74:30]seek divine intervention.
[74:30]So therefore brothers and sisters and especially the camp of Im Hussein
[74:39]they were ambitious.
[74:43]Imam when he was leaving Medina is it Muhammad Ibu is it
[74:52]Salama?
[74:53]These are top-notch personalities who would come and say to Hussein don't
[74:59]go.
[74:58]But they will say if you go leave the children.
[75:02]But Abdullah was ambitious.
[75:07]He wanted Islam to regain its dignity and he wanted to give
[75:13]voice to voiceless the voice of women in the personality of Zu.
[75:19]Hence Hussein decided to go out.
[75:22]Alhamdulillah we are healthy somehow.
[75:25]Let's use it wisely because each and every part of our body
[75:32]is given to us by Allah.
[75:35]If you do not use them wisely, each one will be questioned
[75:41]on the day of alhamdulillah we are blessed.
[75:47]What excuse do you have a 24/7 you have internet?
[75:52]Some of us have student finance.
[75:56]we go to school.
[75:56]Can you think of the plight of millions across the globe?
[76:01]If we do not make good, alhamdulillah, we are I'm not complaining.
[76:07]But I dream of a community where we are topnotch in everything
[76:10]cuz I need a menless of to be the best medical doctor
[76:19]in this area.
[76:20]It's a dream I have for a long time.
[76:23]And we are achieving it here and there.
[76:26]But we must strive harder and we should be able to achieve.
[76:33]Who will stop us.
[76:32]It's equal playing field.
[76:36]Look at the ambition of this great lady Shar Hussein.
[76:46]She was so ambitious when she had that powerful conversation with her
[76:53]beloved husband.
[76:53]Will you allow me and grant me permission to go with Muhammad
[76:59]and she went with them?
[77:05]Isn't it?
[77:05]Where do we begin when it come to the mass of these
[77:11]two great personalities Muhammad and young companions of Imam Hussein but highly
[77:19]ambitious with total reliance on Allah?
[77:21]I said, "Oh Allah, the Mosa began with the Moshiba of Sa
[77:31]when Muljim struck in the middle of the head of Immin." Imam
[77:40]Hassan and Hussein Alim rushed to the body of Immin.
[77:46]Im Hassan on the right side.
[77:54]Imam Hussein on the left side.
[77:56]Amir Min began limping towards the house in Kufa.
[77:59]When they were approaching the house, Immin looked at Hassan and Hussein
[78:06]and he said to them, "Can you allow me to walk?" They
[78:09]said, "Father, blood is coming out of your body.
[78:13]How is it going to be easy for you to walk without
[78:19]us holding you?" Amir Min said, "Oh Hassan and Hussein, I don't
[78:22]want my Zab to see me limping." as if knew that in
[78:30]someone would slap the cheek of Zab and lovers and followers of
[78:46]Alb is the mart of Muhammad and isn't it mothers on the
[78:50]10th day of Muaram gave their kids away to Abi Abdah gave
[78:58]Akbar away.
[78:59]Ra gave Kim away.
[79:04]Raab gave Ali Asar away.
[79:10]But the mother of all mothers is narration tells us when Zab
[79:18]returned to Medina, she entered the room of Muhammad and her own
[79:23]and she called out they may have taken your joy from my
[79:30]eyes but they will never take your joy from my heart.
[79:33]We are told on the eve of Ashur zat next to Muhammad
[79:41]and she said to them, "Oh Muhammad, oh, will you make me
[79:45]proud tomorrow?" They looked at her, they said, "Oh, mother zab, we
[79:52]will make you proud tomorrow because we are the sons of Ali
[79:56]and we are the sons of Jaffar." Allah Akbar on the 10th
[80:06]day of Muaram Z sent Muhammad and to Abdah Hussein when Hussein
[80:12]saw them coming tears began to overflow from the eyes of Hussein.
[80:17]Why?
[80:17]Because Hussein remember he and I im Hassan were younger at one
[80:25]moment next to Immin.
[80:26]But then when Muhammad and got to Abi Abdullah they said oh
[80:32]uncle we are here for permission to go and fight.
[80:38]Imam Hussein while crying looked at Muhammad and he said to them
[80:42]go stay behind look after your mom.
[80:45]Imam Hussein then said when I lost my grandfather your mom was
[80:52]there for me.
[80:52]When I lost my mother for your mother was there for me.
[81:01]I said, "How did you lose your mom?
[81:10]They pushed the door on your mom." I said, "Oh, they broke
[81:14]the ribs of your mom." Said, "Oh, when I lost my father,
[81:21][Music] Your mother was there for me when I lost my brother.
[81:29]Your mother was there for me.
[81:32]He said, "Go stay behind and look after your mom." Allahbar Muhammad
[81:37]went back.
[81:40]When Zab saw them coming, she approached them.
[81:42]She held their answer and she began to walk towards Im Hussein.
[81:48]When Hussein saw Z coming, he began to cry.
[81:53]Why?
[81:54]Because he remembered that moment when Fatima Zahara said to Hussein, [Applause]
[82:00]look after Zab.
[82:03]Oh, do not break the heart of Zabah.
[82:10]Zab came.
[82:11]Now I want you to listen to this Ma.
[82:14]She looked at Hussein and she mentioned only two things and two
[82:19]things broke the heart of she said oh my brother Hussein you
[82:23]remember the day of he said yes.
[82:27]She said you remember when our brother Abbas came out our father
[82:30]was proud of him.
[82:34]He said yes what do you mean?
[82:35]She said but Muhammad and are of the same age of Abbas
[82:40]why don't you allow them to go but look at the next
[82:44]one she said to him and Aba Abdullah broke in tears sir
[82:48]she said oh Hussein John don't you want my mom Fatima to
[82:55]be proud of me on the day of our mom will be
[83:03]proud of Ramla our mom will be proud proud of Raab.
[83:07]Our mom will be proud of Leila.
[83:13]This is my humble contribution to you.
[83:15]Hussein allow them to go.
[83:18]I leave you with this last line.
[83:20]They began to fight defending protecting each other.
[83:23]Allahbar was fighting back and they jumped on her own.
[83:31]When they jumped on, Muhammad jumped to protect.
[83:36]When he jumped to protect, they struck on the neck of Muhammad.
[83:42]Muhammad fell on the ground.
[83:46]It was inal for Muhammad.
[83:50]Now on the ground then callah us then walked towards the body
[84:05]of a was still alive.
[84:05]He said to him oh uncle I want you to tell my
[84:10]mom I didn't drink any water because I know she has no
[84:17]water.
[84:17]I leave you with this last line.
[84:19]When Zabu went back to Medina, as you know, she never cried
[84:26]after Muhammad and matter matter.
[84:26]When she went to Medina entered the house, she remembered Muhammad and
[84:32]she began to cry.
[84:34]They asked Zab why he said I did not cry in Kbala
[84:40]because there was no one to cry for Hussein.
[84:49]Call me in love.
[84:54]Yeah.
[85:08]Y was y [Music] y'all was Yahus.

[120:14]We sat right at the front attended the majus beautifully conducted by
[120:20]Shik Fuzlia Bas and the excellent thoughtprovoking talk by Shik Nuru.
[120:27]It wasn't just a majus.
[120:28]We felt like we were really in Kurbala, like we were standing
[120:30]in the burning plains of Kurabbala, hearing the cries of the children
[120:34]and feeling the strength of Imam Hussein.
[120:37]We even did mart together loud from our chests, not just with
[120:43]our hands, but with all our love.
[120:45]And do you know who made who made it all possible?
[120:47]You.
[120:48]Your donations to the Maharam and Suffer Fund helped bring the M
[120:53]list for life.
[120:53]Not just for us kids, but for everyone.
