[22:31]way of life kindly join me in welcoming she Muhammad to the
[22:37]member with a loud salawad alam Muhammad Ali Muhammad Allham.
[23:14]Alhamdulillah.
[23:37]Alhamdulillah.
[23:52][Music] him.
[24:15][Music] For the love of Abi Abdah Hussein, with the loudest of
[24:29]our voices, for the purification of our hearts and hastening of the
[24:43]reappearance of our beloved the 12 Imam.
[24:53]Once again my dear brothers and sisters, lovers and the followers of
[25:02]Im Hussein, we thank Almighty Allah for making tonight possible for each
[25:10]and every one of us.
[25:12]The 12 nights of the holy month of Muharam.
[25:19]I take the opportunity to express my heartfelt condolences to each and
[25:27]every one of you to our great scholars Maraja and to the
[25:35]master of our time on the painful departure of Sajid Shuada, his
[25:44]beloved family and his companions.
[25:49]As we indicated yesterday or last night that the pains of a
[26:02]B began last night.
[26:03]And it is important we do not lose the spirit we managed
[26:12]to build and incalcate during the course of the first 11 nights
[26:22]of the holy month.
[26:24]Remember one thing, Imam Hussein's head and that of were still with
[26:39]the enemies.
[26:39]Say and the members of the family were still oppressed.
[26:50]So inshallah lasers doesn't necessarily suggest we lose the spirit of lamentation
[27:03]and the spirit of mourning.
[27:06]Let us try as much as we can to maintain this spirit
[27:16]of remembering say before inshallah I begin with our last not the
[27:27]least majist it's important I show my gratitude to the community for
[27:41]inviting me.
[27:42]First is to thank Allah who granted me these ti to contribute
[27:51]little bit here and there towards the revival of the mission of
[27:58]Aal B.
[28:00]I mentioned this before.
[28:01]Who are we?
[28:01]The 11th Imam did not even have the opportunity to sit with
[28:08]five or 10 people at one point in his life to explain
[28:12]hadith to them.
[28:14]It would be through indications.
[28:17]To such an extent, the 11th Imam would say to his companions,
[28:22]"When you see me out there, don't say salam to me because
[28:26]your safety is not guaranteed." So alhamdulillah we thank Allah and I
[28:34]hope Allah accept it.
[28:36]Secondly is to express my heartfelt gratitude to my seniors Shak Moujahit
[28:46]who is not feeling that okay tonight and Shak Fazi for the
[28:53]support right from the day I arrived up until tonight.
[28:55]Thank you so much for the support.
[28:58]really appreciate it.
[29:00]You are my seniors.
[29:01]You've got experience more than me.
[29:02]And also to thank my friend, my colleague Shak Ali Hussein for
[29:09]the support for attending the majalis.
[29:10]It encouraged me more to see these three great personalities in our
[29:18]midst and always being there before even everyone came.
[29:22]So, alhamdulillah, thank you so much for that.
[29:24]It goes a long way in my encyclopedia.
[29:28]And then next is to thank the executive you know and his
[29:38]team for the supports.
[29:38]But I must single out two persons.
[29:42]One is brother Shafi and one is as uncle.
[29:47]I think this invitation came to me while I was in Nairobi
[29:52]or I was just moving to Birmingham through brother Shafi.
[29:56]But Allah give us life and we managed to come and of
[30:02]course uncle solid man you know alhamdulillah you know no day no
[30:11]night supporting me inshallah but in general I cannot single out the
[30:15]rest you've been fantastic I'm not just saying it for sake you've
[30:19]been incredible the support the lunch the dinner the moral support is
[30:25]unbelievable trouble and of course Hajameham how can I forget Hajamameid mashallah
[30:30]when I was drained out of Majis he calmed me down alhamdulillah
[30:36]so thank you so much everyone you've been incredible audience and the
[30:41]children mashallah the children majis amazing so I can just say one
[30:45]thing before I give the last majis inshallah but you have a
[30:48]very wonderful community very switched on community highly intellectual highly professional cuz
[30:56]I interacted with so many people.
[30:58]Take advantage of these blessings inshallah.
[30:59]And we see where Allah takes us.
[31:04]And lastly, forgive me for any shortcoming.
[31:05]Whatever you see good in me, it is Allah and my teachers.
[31:09]And any negative you see in me, it is from me, not
[31:14]from my teachers and Allah.
[31:14]So forgive me for any shortcomings.
[31:16]We only tried our level best.
[31:17]We e, you know, we are not infallibles.
[31:20]So forgive me for any shortcomings and inshallah we'll meet again inshallah.
[31:33]So the verse I've just quoted is a known verse.
[31:37]I quoted this verse on the second or third night Quran 13
[31:45]verse number 11.
[31:46]It's a long verse but I picked up that line only that
[31:52]indeed Allah will not change the conditions of people until and unless
[31:58]they change what is in themselves.
[32:00]In the last night I thought it's important after all these series
[32:06]of discussions to look at way forward where do I begin when
[32:11]it comes to implementing whatever I had.
[32:13]So the topic of tonight inshallah is positive change a way of
[32:20]thinking and a way of life.
[32:22]Main aim inshallah is really as I have just said to start
[32:28]reflecting on how to implement some of the lessons we heard from
[32:36]here or from other speakers cuz it's easy to listen but to
[32:40]implement is something else.
[32:43]So examination of tonight inshallah will be of the following three stages.
[32:48]The first stage we'll look at the benefits or the blessings of
[32:53]positive change.
[32:53]Meaning when I achieve something positive what's the benefit?
[32:57]What are the blessings?
[32:58]second stage of the examination.
[33:02]Then we'll discuss inshallah the foundations of positive change and then the
[33:07]last stage of the examination I will inshallah share some few practical
[33:11]tips on how to embark on a journey of positive change.
[33:19]Remember very wellmin and we have an overriding theme.
[33:23]Our theme is discussing the timeless the timeless secret behind the mission
[33:34]of Imam Hussein.
[33:35]We began our journey by looking at Imam Hussein.
[33:39]am as the heavenly initiative on earth and we discussed into details
[33:47]as to why we believe wholeheartedly say shahada is a heavenly initiative
[33:56]on earth and we indicated to some of the main reasons as
[34:00]to why I imam went out we didn't look at looked at
[34:06]Husseini dimension in Immi heritage.
[34:12]He also we discussed so many things.
[34:16]You remember very well we looked at different opinions as to why
[34:21]Shuada went out but some held that opinion that he went out
[34:25]for sulta for authority for power.
[34:26]Some hold this opinion that he went out for martrdom and some
[34:34]hold this opinion that he went out so people cry over him.
[34:37]But we said all this here.
[34:42]No, but rather I imus went out to change I and you.
[34:47]And then we went ahead and on and on and we discussed
[34:51]if you remember very well the spiritual horizon in the character of
[35:01]Imus.
[35:00]We look at the essence of martyrdom and we focused more on
[35:06]our Arafa of Shada.
[35:07]There after we looked at some very practical topics for example unleashing
[35:13]our ambition in life.
[35:14]We look at the whole question of success.
[35:17]If you remember very well how to build youth with passion with
[35:25]purpose for example we discussed worship as the main thirst for our
[35:29]feelings and emotions.
[35:29]So I thought today let's wrap it up nicely inshallah.
[35:35]Where do I begin implementing all this so that we gain a
[35:44]bit of reformation first stage of the examination my dear brothers and
[35:51]sisters benefits of positive change.
[35:55]These are very simple things but it's important we remember this.
[36:00]The first and foremost benefit of positive change is cuz we're not
[36:09]just talking of positive change for the sake of positive change.
[36:12]We talking of positive change within the religion of Islam.
[36:16]So first benefit is gaining divine proximity.
[36:23]When you strive to change either to change my salah for better
[36:31]or to change my Quranic relationship for better or service to the
[36:36]community as I indicated to you will gain divine proximity.
[36:40]That's number one.
[36:42]So I beg you brothers and sisters do not hesitate to begin
[36:48]your journey towards positive change.
[36:50]Even our own beloved prophet with the dua of the Quran prophet
[36:57]also wanted he wanted to go higher and higher because the one
[37:04]and one only who doesn't need to move ahead because he's the
[37:08]cup full is Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
[37:10]So the first benefit divine proximity simply means feeling the presence of
[37:16]Allah wherever you are.
[37:20]Number two benefit my dear brothers and sisters is and you remember
[37:28]when we discuss success and failure.
[37:29]What is success?
[37:32]Success is is to obtain tranquility.
[37:35]So if I work harder for positive change in my life, you
[37:42]will obtain tranquility.
[37:45]We we that's what we looking for.
[37:48]We looking for tranquility.
[37:48]We looking for peace of mind.
[37:51]That's number two benefits.
[37:53]Number three benefit of positive change my dear brothers and sisters is
[38:03]that it enhances your relationship with people.
[38:06]Yes, because you remember I mentioned one night if you want to
[38:13]master spirituality, one of the best tool is to master people because
[38:19]people can be a nightmare, people can be extremely difficult.
[38:24]So once you master people, Allah, you sort it.
[38:30]And in fact in spiritual journeys, mystical journeys, there is a tool
[38:39]called mastering people.
[38:43]So positive change enhances our relationship with people.
[38:51]Number four benefit of positive change, you get reward saw from Allah
[38:57]because you're striving to change.
[39:00]The more you strive to change, the more Allah rewards you.
[39:05]And last but certainly not the least benefit is that you are
[39:11]cherished by the right people, by the good people.
[39:17]So these are the benefits.
[39:19]Now look at the second stage of the examination.
[39:21]It is the most important part of my tonight discussion.
[39:25]Foundations of positive change.
[39:29]You see, when you want to build a house, you first need
[39:34]to make sure you lay a good foundation.
[39:37]Once you have a good foundation, whatever you put on top of
[39:43]the foundation will be okay.
[39:43]But if the foundation is loose, then everything else will not be
[39:53]stronger.
[39:50]And here what I seek to do really is to invite parents
[39:59]those who have young children to appreciate some important points when it
[40:06]comes to positive change because you learn those things from your children
[40:12]and of course all of us even if you don't have children
[40:16]important we learn these things from children when they come to the
[40:19]mosque or you interact with children.
[40:21]So before then you know there is this scholar he's a scientist
[40:30]Roger he won Nobel Peace Prize in 1983 he's a specialist in
[40:38]brain you can google him Roger I think his name is Espri
[40:45]or something he analyzed the roles of brain and he concluded that
[40:51]our brain brain is of two half.
[40:53]You have the right side of the brain and the left side
[41:00]of the brain and he said the left side of the brain
[41:04]plays the role of analyzing things in life.
[41:09]Number two, left side of the brain focuses on routine, doesn't want
[41:20]change, but it is meticulous, but no change.
[41:24]But then the right side of the brain said no, it want
[41:31]changes.
[41:29]It doesn't want routine.
[41:32]And then some scholars when they analyzes this they said anyone who
[41:39]is a lefty can easily become a good engineer.
[41:45]And they said anyone who is a righty can easily become a
[41:54]businessman.
[41:52]But then these scientists mentioned that there are those who are lefty
[41:59]and there are those who are righty.
[42:02]Meaning what?
[42:01]Some only the left part of their brain is functional.
[42:06]So they don't want to change at all routine until some also
[42:13]they are righty.
[42:14]Everything they want to change whether things are working or not they
[42:20]become annoyed when there is no any change.
[42:25]But then these scholars said there are people you'll find one person
[42:30]is is the sometime lefty and sometime righty.
[42:34]Why am I mentioning this?
[42:38]I'm mentioning this because the change I'm talking about is not change
[42:43]for the sake of changes.
[42:45]I'm talking of positive changes and shrine and sanctioned by Allah.
[42:53]Don't just want to change things for the sake of changing.
[42:59]Sometimes you hear people, I want change, I want you.
[43:03]Okay, what change do you want?
[43:04]Aspire for change because it is good for you.
[43:09]For example, you've been struggling with salah.
[43:13]Aspire to establish salat.
[43:15]You've been struggling with your salah on time.
[43:19]Aspire for your salah to be on time.
[43:22]Mrs.
[43:23]struggling to have teachers, aspire to be one of the teachers because
[43:28]the first bismillah you put in the mouth of that child, it
[43:34]becomes kaf for you on the day of Aspire for positive change.
[43:41]And so look at the foundations of I found this personally fascinating.
[43:47]The first foundation is kindly I beg you pay attention to this
[43:54]is the renewal of energy.
[43:59]I'll explain what it means.
[44:01]What do I mean by renewal of energy?
[44:06]You can just be one thing, one thing, one thing.
[44:08]Since the center began, every Thursday is the same thing.
[44:17]since we started every Thursday is the same thing.
[44:24]There must be what they call the renewal of your strength but
[44:31]for good not just for the sake of doing it.
[44:37]No, no, no, no.
[44:36]Now, how do we renew our energy?
[44:38]This is what I said parent can learn from their children.
[44:44]wall.
[44:45]There are four things we can all learn from our children or
[44:48]grandchildren when it comes to the renewal of our strength and energy
[44:55]for positive change.
[44:56]Now look at the four things.
[44:59]Number one, changing activities.
[45:06]If your children the way they are they playing with this you
[45:14]ask them don't play with this you take it from them by
[45:16]the time you are at that door they playing with something else
[45:21]if they are not sick or sleeping they are busy alhamdulillah at
[45:27]least they are solid mashallah but children are like that sometimes you
[45:31]see you see elders get worked up but it's a child yes
[45:36]you need to control put some breaks here and there but at
[45:38]the end of the day children are children you don't want to
[45:43]become too strict with children I give an example you know the
[45:50]holy prophet used to welcome enter for dua for questioning so one
[45:56]tribe visited the holy prophet in Medina and one of them had
[45:59]a young child with him prophet normally would take the child and
[46:02]would pray for the child for blessings so while prophet was having
[46:05]the child.
[46:06]The child messed with the clothes of the prophet.
[46:09]So those who were sitting next to the father of the child
[46:12]they became angry, worked up.
[46:16]Take the child from the prophet.
[46:18]Take as we will do.
[46:18]You know what prophet said?
[46:22]You have destroyed the soul of this child by your behavior.
[46:26]The child doesn't have a to determine when to go for nature
[46:31]call or not.
[46:31]So the first thing we learn from children is A child cannot
[46:39]be stationed with just one activity.
[46:42]Baba, you've been praying your salat very late.
[46:46]Why don't you change for the past 5 years?
[46:52]Your Quran is bad.
[46:54]You happy Ramadan sh Ramadan.
[46:57]You come and recite like that change.
[47:01]For the past three years they've been invited to come teach madasa
[47:06]you can't change come I give you tradition tradition from the holy
[47:16]prophet recharge and refresh your souls hour after an hour because souls
[47:31]get tired the way bodies get tired.
[47:33]One naration tells us this hearty souls are of good mood and
[47:42]bad mood.
[47:44]You know what the narration says?
[47:45]When you are in a good mood, that's the time you do
[47:52]and whenever you realize you are not in good mood, you are
[47:54]so down just do the wajat because if you keep adding, you
[48:00]will destroy the soul.
[48:01]So first thing we learn from children is they are so active.
[48:07]Why you not active when it comes to your relationship with Allah?
[48:13]That's number one.
[48:16]Number two thing we learn from children ali inquisitiveness.
[48:21]Children they are so inquisitive especially children of today.
[48:27]Sometime they will hold your beard and ask you what is this?
[48:32]This is not by chance.
[48:36]Allah makes them that way.
[48:41]So you learn who interact with them for they are inquisitive.
[48:49]Why are some of us are not inquisitive about religion?
[48:54]Why you not learning since last year?
[48:59]How many Islamic books have you read?
[49:01]How many verses of the Holy Quran have you gone through since
[49:06]last year?
[49:07]I beg you, it's a rhetorical question.
[49:10]Answer yourself.
[49:13]Since the beginning of Muaram, did you miss your salah?
[49:19]And there was nothing wrong.
[49:22]You were just chilling.
[49:24]So you need to have this inquisitive mind that why this why
[49:29]am I like this?
[49:29]Why can't I improve?
[49:31]Why is he improving and I'm not improving?
[49:34]Why is he volunteering and I'm not volunteer?
[49:37]I tell you if you're not volunteering and you have the chance
[49:39]to volunteer, it's not normal.
[49:41]Is the work of Allah.
[49:47]Look at tradition.
[49:50]We quoted this tradition before.
[49:58]Two groups of people are never satisfied with what they do.
[50:04]The seeker of the wealth and the seeker of knowledge.
[50:08]Don't ever get tired of learning.
[50:12]The more you learn, the better chance you stand to enjoy every
[50:18]act of worship you undertake.
[50:20]So that's number two thing we learn from children.
[50:22]Number three, we learn from children the spirit of creativity.
[50:32]You monitor your children.
[50:34]You go to IKEA or wherever you buy a dami aeroplane.
[50:39]You bring this dummy aeroplane.
[50:41]You try looking for the menu to read.
[50:44]Wah.
[50:45]You leave it with your sons and daughters as young as they
[50:48]are.
[50:48]By the time you realize they able to assemble everything, isn't it?
[50:52]You agree?
[50:53]They they assemble everything because they are creative.
[50:59]These young children Alise and all these mashallah solid guy wrote in
[51:06]the in the feedback they sent to me.
[51:09]The children by the way.
[51:12]Thank you so much.
[51:12]The feedback they said you are the one who wrote solid.
[51:16]Is it your solid guy?
[51:21]You know solid but solid guy.
[51:25]Now you have three groups man.
[51:27]These are three solid guys.
[51:29]They will assemble it easily.
[51:32]That's creativity.
[51:35]Meaning what?
[51:38]Okay.
[51:35]I'm struggling to wake up for faj.
[51:39]Why can't you be creative about it?
[51:43]As I said, my change the change I'm talking about is about
[51:48]religion.
[51:47]But of course, you can apply this in everyday life.
[51:51]Why can't I be creative so that I learn how to recite
[51:59]Quran?
[51:57]How many of us are using global village digital to enhance our
[52:05]businesses?
[52:06]Why don't you do the same with religion?
[52:09]You don't know how to recite Quran and you don't have time
[52:14]to go come go online.
[52:16]There are so many teachers online.
[52:19]No, you struggling with your father for example.
[52:22]Go YouTube.
[52:26]It's not only for watching movie.
[52:30]We need to look at the advantages of this.
[52:33]Of course, they have got so many disadvantages.
[52:36]So children they've got this spirit of creativity.
[52:40]They are so creative.
[52:43]Sha gave them to write yah in those papers.
[52:45]See what they wrote on that on those papers.
[52:49]So that's number three.
[52:51]We learn from children.
[52:51]The last but certainly not the least thing we learn from our
[52:58]children is what?
[53:00]Children have this spirit of not worrying about danger.
[53:07]Children are not scared of danger until they experimented.
[53:12]Of children, you know, they can pull the entire wire in the
[53:17]house.
[53:18]Especially those who have the young ones until it burns them, they
[53:25]will not stop.
[53:26]They want to experiment.
[53:28]So the same way you hear people saying I will not go
[53:36]for Zara until I'm ready.
[53:38]Classic when are you going to be ready until comes you already
[53:48]ready ever since you were born.
[53:50]People say no I'm not going to go for Haj until I'm
[53:55]ready.
[53:56]There is nothing like that in Islam.
[53:59]You are ready from yesterday.
[54:02]Go for it.
[54:06]You know the tradition one tradition one version I mean we said
[54:18]when you become scared of doing something that's the time to do
[54:22]it cuz you waiting for it is more dangerous than not doing
[54:25]it.
[54:27]You keep contemplating should I accept the role of motherasa go for
[54:35]it you going to keep contemplating contemplating I mean we said that
[54:42]is more dangerous then at least go do it if it doesn't
[54:45]work it doesn't work at least you are free now you've done
[54:50]it so children my dear brothers and sisters when it comes to
[54:54]danger they are in for These are the four things we learn
[55:00]from children under the first foundation renewal of our strength.
[55:04]Number two, foundation of positive change order.
[55:11]You cannot achieve any positive changes if you are not organized.
[55:18]You must be organized.
[55:21]Organize yourself properly.
[55:25]I know fajger is 2:34 for example or 239 organized yourself properly
[55:32]tomorrow morning I have a b cde e no no no no
[55:35]you too busy with your work organize yourself in such a way
[55:38]that you have time for Quran you have time for your family
[55:43]to his beloved two sons he made it very One version said,
[55:57]I give you this was oh my two sons and all my
[56:02]children and anyone who will receive this message to develop consciousness of
[56:09]course of Allah and be organized.
[56:14]You cannot achieve anything tangible especially in religion if you are not
[56:20]organized in your life.
[56:24]Alhamdulillah we are all organized when it comes to our duny but
[56:27]why when it comes to salah when it comes to Quran when
[56:33]it come to serving communities some of us are not willing to
[56:36]be organized so that's the second foundation third foundation of positive change
[56:44]is your friend cycle yes sometimes you may be the best But
[56:54]those you hang around with by the time you realize they finish
[57:00]you cuz they don't bother about salah.
[57:01]Excuse my word.
[57:03]We'll do later.
[57:05]We'll do later.
[57:05]We'll do later.
[57:07]And you are just alone amongst them.
[57:10]So it's important when you have friends, we encourage friends to do
[57:17]good.
[57:18]Assist each other when it come to righteousness.
[57:24]Don't assist them in sinning.
[57:28]So your friends are important.
[57:32]If you can't change them to be good and you know that
[57:36]they can influence you to be bad, stay away from them.
[57:39]That's number three.
[57:42]Number four, I mentioned it today.
[57:48]We discussed about ambition.
[57:47]Aim high.
[57:50]have a great aim to change.
[57:53]What do I term great aim?
[57:59]Something loved and cherished by Allah.
[58:00]There is no greater thing than what Allah cherishes.
[58:06]So whatever Allah cherishes is great is of a high salat is
[58:18]high.
[58:17]L is high cuz Im Ali sat next to the prophet you
[58:22]know the tradition and prophet said to him Ali look after three
[58:27]things in your life asked the holy prophet what are these three
[58:32]things he said when he went to when he met his spiritual
[58:44]guru and he said to him advise him I want to achieve
[58:47]success No, our own daily salah, our souls are sent to Allah
[59:05]when we stand for salah.
[59:06]So long that that salah is established and not just performing.
[59:10]So you have to have and that is why upon the m
[59:21]of his beloved son you heard it last night he said whatever
[59:29]is happening to me is so easy because it's under the watchful
[59:33]eyes of Allah why because it's so the four foundation aim something
[59:38]Great.
[59:39]Last foundation then we conclude be proactive not reactive.
[59:52]What do I mean by reactive?
[59:54]You know come we are all charged.
[60:00]It's good.
[59:59]It's the magnet of but then after that we relax.
[60:08]Ramadan come.
[60:15]Excellent.
[60:16]But why don't you continue a little bit?
[60:21]We shouldn't be reactive.
[60:24]We must be proactive in everything we do.
[60:30]But here I'm focusing more on religion because you know Dr.
[60:36]Alhilli Shak Mhammed Ili's brother he conducted a survey I don't know
[60:39]last year or year before last and he shared with some of
[60:41]us as to what do people need and this survey was filled
[60:48]and attended to by people from different walks of life what came
[60:53]on top is that spirituality people said we lack spirituality we want
[60:59]spiritual development exciting But we need to be proactive.
[61:07]The Holy Prophet says it.
[61:13]Be proactive in doing you will find next to you.
[61:19]So these are the foundations.
[61:24]Now last stage practical tips.
[61:26]What do I do as an individual to bring about positive changes?
[61:34]Having these foundations in mind, number one, take a baby step.
[61:51]When they start something, they don't finish it.
[61:54]They take doses they can handle.
[61:57]Start small.
[61:59]Say to yourself, Im Hussein upon all the challenges in Kbala, he
[62:10]ensured that salat was on the dots.
[62:13]I'm going to start that.
[62:16]No, you got to say to yourself in recited so many verses
[62:21]of the holy Quran actually if you read the story of imit
[62:23]so many verses like if you look at Fatima mentioned so many
[62:29]vers of the holy Quran I'm going to from tonight build my
[62:33]relationship with the holy Quran start stop I want to volunteer but
[62:40]I don't know how to do it from tonight I'm pledging myself
[62:43]and Allah that I'm going to At least once a month I
[62:49]will volunteer in the community.
[62:53]I've got the capability to teach in Madrasa and I know our
[62:58]mad is struggling to have teachers.
[62:59]I'm going to talk to you give me something light.
[63:04]I want to start little by little start something brothers.
[63:08]I beg you those of you are not some alhamdulillah are doing
[63:12]it.
[63:12]May Allah bless them.
[63:14]They are volunteering.
[63:14]They are teaching car park volunteers organizers of the program AV but
[63:20]Jana Kafan for example they are looking for people to train them
[63:28]so that the succession plan is unbelievable put your name there you
[63:35]will realize the benefit of this thing that we are talking about
[63:41]so that is number one take a baby step number two practical
[63:44]ical tip my dear brothers and sisters if you can don't let
[63:53]a day pass without opening the holy Quran see prophet taught us
[64:00]every day go through 10 verses highly encouraging but if you can't
[64:10]just open Quran a verse or two reflect on it discuss with
[64:14]your life.
[64:14]Discuss with your family.
[64:18]Discuss with your friend.
[64:18]If you are not someone who doesn't know who don't know how
[64:23]to recite, look for teachers to start your Quran journey is very
[64:30]very important.
[64:31]That's number two.
[64:33]Number three practical tip, surround yourself with good people.
[64:41]So when you go double check your friends are they influencing you
[64:51]positively or they are influencing you negatively you nobody pays your tax
[64:57]you pay your own tax.
[64:58]If they are influencing you negatively and you know you can't help
[65:02]out diplomatically find an excuse.
[65:07]But if you know you can influence them positively, why not be
[65:14]with them?
[65:13]Having good friends around you makes the magic.
[65:20]Number four, let me go to the last one please.
[65:25]This is tried and tested and we have so many teachings in
[65:31]this regard.
[65:33]frequent spiritual places, mosque, Imam.
[65:41]Look at the way our school of thought is beautifully designed.
[65:45]Every week you have dua with our every week we have dua.
[65:55]Monthly we have duas.
[65:59]We check and another books of duas.
[66:02]We have annually we have duas.
[66:04]So I say to people try by all means to go to
[66:10]the mosque and ima and do this dua.
[66:12]If forever reason beyond your control you can't sit in the house
[66:14]with the family and do it.
[66:20]We need soul nourishment as we seek positive changes.
[66:26]These to us are not for the sake of they are for
[66:32]our sake.
[66:34]They left these to for us had to go in the darkness
[66:40]of the night and knocked the door of had to dictate this
[66:48]dua forum even.
[66:49]So you can't allow a week to pass without going through this
[66:54]dua.
[66:55]So frequent spiritual environment zara omrah and last but certainly not the
[66:59]least seek divine intervention wall make dua because sometimes my dear brothers
[67:07]and sisters wall I am telling you wallah member of the prophet
[67:12]we can't do without Allah's you volunteering is Allah Allah can easily
[67:25]change me substitute me with anyone Allah can replace me overnight of
[67:31]Allah car may Allah bless you of Allah so when you realize
[67:40]you are dilly darling you don't want to do make dua ya
[67:43]Allah soften my heart so that I'm also able to go and
[67:50]serve here and there ya Allah soften my heart to help those
[67:56]who are in need.
[67:57]So make dua for yourself.
[68:00]Especially mashallah our youth.
[68:01]Thank you so much for attending the malis.
[68:06]Make dua.
[68:05]Ya Allah help me.
[68:08]I want to help.
[68:11]I want to serve.
[68:09]I want to read Quran.
[68:13]And Im Hussein taught us isn't it.
[68:19]He made dua right at the beginning of the mission and I
[68:28]quoted part of the dua.
[68:30]He left everything in the hand of Allah.
[68:33]Even at the 11th hour, Imam Hussein needed divine intervention.
[68:41]My dear brothers and sisters, these days and nights were very difficult
[68:50]for Zab.
[68:57]You know Zabam as we mentioned last night on the 9th of
[69:02]the 11th she had a bit of rest but while resting she
[69:11]saw that man in a black clog it was the father and
[69:19]she began calling out the father my father someone sat on the
[69:27]chest of Hussein My father they sever the two arms of Abbas.
[69:32]Now can you imagine how did they manage to sleep or spend
[69:38]that whole night?
[69:41]narration tells us on the day of the 11th Omar and they
[69:50]woke up they brought people to bury the bodies of their loved
[70:00]ones and they left the bodies of and the companions of Im
[70:05]Hussein and remember at this point holy ran away with the head
[70:14]of Im Hussein.
[70:16]Now they began to march them to Kufa.
[70:21]They made Imag to be on a camel without saddle so that
[70:32]he suffered maximum pain.
[70:34]They made Zab to pass by the body of Im Hussein.
[70:39]When she passed by the body, she placed her hand under the
[70:44]body.
[70:45]She said, "Allah, Allah, accept is talking from us." But the chain
[70:57]was paining imam.
[71:01]They entered Kufa.
[71:05]People paraded on the road in Kufa.
[71:08]People were beating drums.
[71:10]Can you imagine?
[71:13]People were beating drums.
[71:14]People were chanting praises of Allah calling rebellions.
[71:24]But when they got to the palace of he asked for a
[71:35]golden plate and he placed the head of Imam Hussein in the
[71:39]golden plate.
[71:39]He got a stick and he began to poke the lips of
[71:45]Imam Hussein.
[71:46]Allah he played with the lips of Hussein.
[71:50]That was the moment he thought he was disrespecting Zanab, but he
[71:57]disrespected and ridiculed himself.
[72:00]He said to Zab, "What's your take on what Allah has done
[72:04]to you and your family?" And Zanab would say, Inshallah we pray
[72:25]Allah bless this community inshallah the organizers of this majist may Allah
[72:31]reward them abundantly inshallah our senior citizens of this community may Allah
[72:39]continue to make them be with us inshallah and bless them for
[72:45]whatever effort they are making inshallah the community has an haj of
[72:50]having this mashallah place to be approved as a burial place.
[72:54]They are working very hard.
[72:56]May Allah intervene on their behalf.
[72:59]Inshallah we pray to our sons and daughters.
[73:00]Inshallah may Allah protect them with his protection.
[73:04]Inshallah.
[73:05]Our youth inshallah you have your hat.
[73:07]You've been incredible.
[73:07]May Allah fulfill your haj.
[73:09]Inshallah.
[73:09]All of us we have our hajat.
[73:12]Some are not well.
[73:15]Some are looking for jobs.
[73:15]Whatever the h might be.
[73:18]May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala fulfill those h on our behalf inshallah.
[73:22]May Allah continue to instill the true love of Imam Hussein in
[73:25]our heart.
[73:26]Inshallah and may he grant us the z of Hussein Hussein.
[74:06]I was up for Honey, I got to say I me [Music]
