[0:07]subh for the purification of the souls and the enlightenment of the
[0:45]hearts and for the hastening of the reappearance of Enlighten your souls
[0:53]and the atmosphere with the recitation ofwat upon Muhammad Ali Muhammad respected
[1:04]Scholars Elders brothers and sisters in Islam he was considered in 1935
[1:15]as one of the best lawgivers in the history of mankind he's
[1:23]respected revered followed like no other human being according to the office
[1:31]of national statistics in the United Kingdom his name chopped topped the
[1:36]chart when it comes to the newborns given in 2011 in London
[1:44]Oslo and many European countries his name is translated as the praiseworthy
[1:50]he is of course none other than Muhammad Muhammad an examination of
[2:05]the Holy Quran and traditions from the reveal this important fact that
[2:14]the position enjoyed by the holy prophet of Islam peace and blessings
[2:18]be upon him and the holy progeny is like no other in
[2:20]other words the Quran is full of praise to the Mak of
[2:25]the holy prophet the Hadith point to his Excellence to his attributes
[2:29]to to his achievements to his noteworthy establishments and his Everlasting Legacy
[2:38]you only need to look at ayat such as you have the
[2:49]best exalted characteristics and attributes likewise in the world of Hadith you
[2:55]and I will come across many which point to the importance of
[2:59]understanding whom the holy prophet of Islam indeed is one Hadith narrated
[3:06]from Ab states that two angels of Allah mik and jbra were
[3:15]disputing with each other were discussing with each other whom was better
[3:20]in the eyes of the almighty subhanahu wa ta'ala mik said to
[3:25]jbra I am better why because the almighty subhah wa tala has
[3:30]given me many responsibilities jbra said I am better why because I
[3:37]am the one who delivers the message and Revelation To His prophets
[3:41]before the almighty subhanahu wa ta'ala they came forward they said oh
[3:45]my Lord which one of us is better in your eyes Allah
[3:53]subhanahu wa'ta'ala revealed and said by my might and Glory I have
[4:05]created people better than you thereafter he revealed the side of the
[4:10]The Throne of Allah which stated that what that these five individuals
[4:25]were the best of God's creation an individual who's a non-believer comes
[4:29]to the holy prophet and asks him a number of questions when
[4:33]rasool Allah answers these questions in the best of ways he says
[4:36]to him that in my scripture in my book I have that
[4:41]you will answer my question and every time that I wish to
[4:44]delete your name from my scripture your name returns back and I
[4:50]am there to understand that when you answer my question next to
[4:54]you are mik and next to you is jbra and sitting next
[4:59]to me is vice J your Vice jant the prophet looks at
[5:02]him and says indeed here is jbra and here is Mika and
[5:08]next to me is an examination therefore reveals the status of the
[5:16]holy prophet you and I may be wondering why begin the discussion
[5:21]in this commemoration with the remembrance of rasool you and I understand
[5:27]also being Muslims living in the west that recently the status and
[5:30]the name of the holy prophet of Islam has been subject to
[5:33]a barrage of attacks and abuse and insult when we come to
[5:40]commemorate the ultimate form of sacrifice and the devotion displayed by his
[5:46]grandson say what better way than to initiate this maalis with the
[5:57]remembrance of the holy prophet of Islam s.
[6:00]am why because the holy IM stood to reform the um of
[6:08]the holy prophet and as we find in we find saying that
[6:24]this Hadith is shared by all Muslims the prophet of Islam says
[6:27]Hussein is from me and I am from Hussein whomsoever loves Hussein
[6:34]Allah will surely love them in other words the whole ethos and
[6:39]the philosophy of the movement of ab abdah Hussein was that to
[6:43]indeed revive the name of the holy prophet and ensure that you
[6:49]and I here living in the West in this country and many
[6:53]others are able to practice and uphold the values and the principles
[6:59]of the religion of Islam therefore how beautiful it is that every
[7:04]year when we commence when we initiate when we begin the remembrance
[7:08]of the tragedy of ashur and the sacrifice and the revolution of
[7:12]ab abdah We Begin by understanding and reminding ourselves about the m
[7:20]and the position of muhamed and what better way to do so
[7:29]than to look at the Holy Quran if you and I look
[7:35]at the Holy Quran specifically Chapter 93 and 94 when you look
[7:44]at these chapters and of course the Quran has many references in
[7:48]exalting the name of the holy prophet but I wish to examine
[7:53]these two chapters for a number of reasons number one it has
[7:56]a number of jurisprudential as well as theological implications for you and
[8:02]I number two there is there are a number of misconceptions that
[8:06]have been used by the enemies of Islam from certain narrations that
[8:11]exist when it comes to the taper of these chapters number three
[8:15]it has relevance when it comes to the commemoration and the establishment
[8:23]of the majalis of abdah Hussein let's look at these two chapters
[8:27]first of all when it comes to our prayers when it comes
[8:33]to our Salah need to be recited together what does that mean
[8:40]our our say there are total of four suras four chapters of
[8:45]the Holy Quran that two by two need to be recited together
[8:52]in Salah the school of B states that after Surah F in
[8:56]obligatory prayers one must recite a complete chapter however there are two
[9:03]instances whereby two separate chapters if one of them is recited the
[9:07]other one must be recited straight away which one are they the
[9:11]first isah followed followed byah vice versa and the second is and
[9:21]so for example I'm reciting and after after reciting I Begin by
[9:35]saying when I complete the chapter our say I must not go
[9:41]into I must do what I must thereafter say what that the
[9:54]recitation of after is obligatory in Salah why why is that so
[10:02]the reason being is that our are of the opinion that these
[10:09]two chapters are actually one separated by the Bas separated by when
[10:17]you examine these two chapters you find a number of similarities the
[10:21]message from continues into Allah says in in what does he say
[10:38]because the idea emerges and that's what and that is when you
[10:44]and I are in Salah and these are important F rulings when
[10:47]you are in Salah which is and we have just recited we
[10:53]have to have in our minds what we will recite as far
[10:58]as the next chapter is concerned so if I did decided to
[11:00]recite for instance I say then I change my mind I want
[11:12]to recite I need to recite again why because the school of
[11:18]believes that the basah is part of every chapter every Surah of
[11:24]the Quran so if I was to say that in my mind
[11:29]I wanted to recite Surah or and then I change my mind
[11:37]before the initiation I need to start once again with the basah
[11:41]this is an important consideration when we reflect once more in the
[11:46]Chapter 93 and 94 of the Holy Quran when you come to
[11:53]the chapter itself Allah subhah wa taala says the word comes from
[12:02]in which means what lexically in Arabic it means to dissect to
[12:10]carve open when you come to theas what do you find when
[12:13]you look at theas of our brothers from other schools of thought
[12:17]not from the school of you'll find that they'll say the following
[12:23]that that this particular Ayah of the Holy Quran was revealed for
[12:29]what was revealed dur to an incident in the life of our
[12:34]holy prophet muh which is known as what this incident is a
[12:49]matter of controversy is a matter of dispute amongst many people and
[12:55]Scholars outside the school of but thankfully the of the IM are
[12:59]unanimous in rejecting the following story the story is known as the
[13:05]story of The Prophet's chest and the story needs to be understood
[13:11]why because today unfortunately some people are utilizing this in attacking the
[13:19]religion of Islam and ridiculing our teachings and the Holy Quran what
[13:24]is the story of The Prophet's chest please pay attention so that
[13:28]you appreciate the school of bait and the pristine teachings that we
[13:32]have directly from the family of the holy prophet the story is
[13:38]found in IM muslim's compilation Muslim in eight places eight places you'll
[13:46]find the story for instance in volume one what does the story
[13:50]say the story says that the prophet was four years of age
[13:57]he was being looked after by his wet nurse one day he
[14:01]was playing with the children and jbra came down from the heavens
[14:04]apologies to the young children here in this blessed audience for going
[14:11]into detail but unfortunately this is what the Hadith states that jbra
[14:16]grabbed placed him on the ground immediately opened up his chest took
[14:24]out his heart and says I can see a knot inside your
[14:32]heart he takes the heart he washes it in zamzam water and
[14:34]then he places the heart ofo back in his chest at that
[14:41]moment he closes the chest ends the surgical operation that jbra samow
[14:46]is now a physician a doctor that operates on the holy prophet
[14:50]he he immediately ends this particular process those children around the prophet
[14:56]are astonished they say we have never seen such a thing happen
[15:02]they look at the holy prophet and he's pale they run towards
[15:06]and they said mamed at that moment Hala rushes towards she finds
[15:13]him in the state she takes him and returns him back to
[15:19]his mother am this is the gist of the story yet unfortunately
[15:22]it gets worse what does the story State the story state that
[15:29]it happened five times in the life of the holy prophet five
[15:33]times when when he was four when he was 10 when he
[15:38]was 40 when he went on the is and the and the
[15:42]fifth one is when I don't know not that I don't know
[15:47]the narrator says I don't know five times the prophet's heart is
[15:52]taken out from his blessed body washed and returned and that's the
[15:59]belief of many Muslims around the world today question what is our
[16:05]Viewpoint in a very academic scientific rational discussion with no emotion what
[16:11]is our stance when it comes to this story how do we
[16:16]look at it what is our opinion behind it doesn't the Quran
[16:19]say did we not carve open and disect your chest therefore this
[16:27]is what is presented as the interpret ation of this Ayah as
[16:31]we mentioned the school of our mu they reject this they say
[16:38]we reject this due to a number of considerations please pay attention
[16:41]to why we reject it number one since when was evil and
[16:46]bad doings and the actions of Shan associated with a knot in
[16:51]the heart in the physical heart if it was then today those
[16:54]Physicians and doctors will be the richest in the world when it
[16:58]comes to the Muslim world because all of us will go to
[16:59]them and say excuse me I think I have a problem I'm
[17:02]sinning a lot can you take my heart out and wash it
[17:06]this is what we do since when was evil associated with our
[17:12]hearts our physical Hearts number one number two why would the prophet
[17:16]of Islam need to go through this very strenuous difficult process of
[17:20]his chest being opened up and his heart being washed whereas Allah
[17:24]subhana wa tala if he wanted to do so he could have
[17:28]done so very easily why would jbra need to go through this
[17:33]process number three why is it that we do not find any
[17:36]other prophets in history having to go through this only the prophet
[17:40]of Islam what does this say about our prophet in comparison to
[17:46]the other prophets number four why is it that we do not
[17:50]find a single tradition that states that the Shan went and open
[17:53]the chest of how is it that the shitan was able to
[17:57]put a knot whereas jbra couldn't taken not out except by opening
[18:01]the chest of the holy prophet and number five does this not
[18:06]contradict the Holy Quran which clearly states that the shatan cannot even
[18:11]get close to the prophets including the best upon them the holy
[18:24]prophet the Quran says that thean says I will get to them
[18:30]all except ccept those purified individuals that you have selected I cannot
[18:35]get close to in other words the Quran emphatically states that the
[18:39]Shan cannot get close to the prophets of God how is it
[18:46]that he can place a knot in the heart of the Prophet
[18:52]therefore this story is fabricated and we reject it categorically it has
[18:55]no place in Islamic Theology and indeed it's a direct attack we
[18:59]consider it on the Mam and the position of the holy prophet
[19:01]with full respect to those who narrate it what do we say
[19:06]we say that the school of honors and reveres my dear brothers
[19:12]and sisters like no other school in the religion of Islam and
[19:14]Mar my words what do we mean you look at other schools
[19:19]of thought and they question the Asma of the holy prophet the
[19:23]school ofit says was born mum chosen by Allah to be the
[19:29]best of his creation the best role model the exemplary individual that
[19:32]you and I look up to to seek inspiration and motivation in
[19:36]our lives we look at him like no other human being in
[19:40]other words rasool Allah enjoys this status that's number one number two
[19:44]you ask the question where did this idea come from then I
[19:48]did a bit of research on this and I found there is
[19:50]a Hadith or there is a historical tradition in the time of
[19:57]Jah there was a man by the name of he one day
[20:00]he says that I was sitting in my house and all of
[20:04]a sudden I saw two birds these two birds charged on my
[20:07]chest they sat on my chest they started digging on my chest
[20:12]I couldn't push them away they opened up my chest they look
[20:14]at my heart they looked at each other it is as if
[20:19]they were asking each other questions at that moment they closed my
[20:21]heart and they went away this particular tradition or historical reference is
[20:27]found at the time of Jah and therefore this fabrication unfortunately has
[20:34]found its way in the books of Muslims the Quran States you
[20:38]might ask what does this mean then what does it mean here
[20:45]in comes to our mind when it comes to the opening and
[20:53]the expanding of one's capacity for two reasons number one to be
[20:57]able to withstand the difficulties that can calamities the trials and the
[21:02]hardship in life who amongst us does not go through hardship who
[21:06]amongst us does not go through the systematic sometimes difficulties and Bala
[21:12]that you and I are subjected to therefore Allah subhana wa ta'ala
[21:16]says to the holy prophet we have expanded Your Capacity we have
[21:23]expanded your ability to withstand what all that's thrown against you what
[21:28]kind of things that the holy it had to withand one person
[21:31]says that one day I sawool Allah standing on the Mount of
[21:37]saf and I wondered why is the prophet wearing red today I
[21:41]looked at him I said he's wearing red today I CL came
[21:46]close to him and I realized that he wasn't wearing red clothes
[21:49]he was drenched with his blood due to the fact that he
[21:55]was pelted with stones and attacked in such a manner by his
[21:59]enemies people used to come and call him a sorcerer a magician
[22:06]aah a a Allah says I have expanded your chest in other
[22:12]words your ability to withstand what these individuals will do to you
[22:16]how they will treat you how they will treat your family number
[22:20]one number two there is an important notion that you and I
[22:24]need to understand and that is what that Allah waala sometimes expands
[22:28]our capacity in taking and understanding the knowledge that is presented before
[22:35]you and I that when it comes to seeking and being illuminated
[22:40]by the new of Allah subhah wa taala our chests needs to
[22:43]expand and the almighty subhah wa ta'ala has expanded the chest of
[22:50]the holy prophet the greatest so that he can receive the Revelation
[22:53]so that he can receive the commands of the almighty subhanahu wa
[22:58]taala this is our understanding of the Quran then continues and says
[23:10]what we have removed from you the burden what is this burden
[23:18]some of the MU once again they say the burden are sins
[23:24]we say no these are not the sins the school of bit
[23:27]says that the prophet and his are sinless they're error free they've
[23:34]been chosen by Allah what is this wizard then it is the
[23:37]responsibility that was on the shoulders ofo it was the sheer pressure
[23:44]on his shoulders to ensure that the message reaches far and wide
[23:49]it reaches you and I he was concerned that this message would
[23:57]indeed be received by people so that they follow the right path
[24:09]this very important Ayah my dear brothers and sisters which stands today
[24:14]to denounce any efforts to tarnish and to attack the personality ofo
[24:20]Allah subhanahu wa taala categorically states in the Holy Quran that despite
[24:27]the attempts and the ways of of anyone around the world today
[24:34]who seeks to somehow distort the message and the personality and the
[24:38]teaching of rasool this will never happen and his remembrance will forever
[24:43]rise and his name shall forever be called and loved by people
[24:47]around the world tell me is there a human being whose name
[24:53]is mentioned by more than 1 billion human beings more than nine
[24:57]times a day is there a human being out there 1 billion
[25:00]human beings mention the name Muhammad in Salah in salawat in a
[25:09]daily basis and that is the promise of Allah subhanahu waala that
[25:15]your name your mentioning will be exalted despite the attempts of people
[25:21]they may produce movies they may attempt to ridicule they may draw
[25:26]cartoons they may attack the personality of but the message is very
[25:32]clear the more they attack the prophet of Islam the more people
[25:35]are drawn towards him and the more the Muslims love him and
[25:41]follow him and that is an important message sent to all those
[25:45]who think that by doing all this they're somehow reducing the affinity
[25:49]and the relationship of the people with the greatest human being the
[25:54]messenger of Allah Muhammed must question though when the Quran says what
[26:09]does it mean to you and I what are the practical connotations
[26:17]and the applications of this of the holy prophet and when we
[26:21]say that the Quran says that the name of the holy prophet
[26:25]shall be exalted this is not restrict restricted to the prophet only
[26:29]why because the Quran says the Quran commands you and I to
[26:48]salute and to send blessings towards the holy prophet and whom and
[26:54]his you ask me how I say to you all Muslims from
[26:59]all denominations s they have come forward and stated that the prayer
[27:03]that this Salah that you and I recite upon the prophet is
[27:07]incomplete without mentioning his family without mentioning his pure sinless as we
[27:16]find in the narration found in Imam Al bukari compilation that the
[27:20]sahabah came to the holy prophet and said Yol Allah we know
[27:24]how to Salute You by saying the Salam upon you but we
[27:27]don't know how to send salawat upon you the prophet says sayam
[27:35]in other words the all are included in this particular salutation and
[27:42]if you count the number of words in this ayat what do
[27:47]you find the number of words in aat is how many 14
[27:56]has 14 words this is not a coincident Allah subhanahu wa taala
[28:03]is sending you and I an important message a message that the
[28:07]have mentioned that the [Music] say what does it mean to you
[28:24]and I when the Quran says that you're mentioning has been exalted
[28:29]not only yours but the it means that you and I whether
[28:39]we like it or not are ambassadors of the holy prophet and
[28:41]the we wear this badge with honor and pride that the name
[28:49]of and the is being exalted and spread and introduced and recognized
[28:54]by people around the world through you and I as Muslim Muslims
[28:58]through you and I as the followers of a b in which
[29:03]way through our characteristics through our moral conduct through our Behavior through
[29:10]how we represent ourselves in society if you and I appreciate that
[29:13]we are the tools by which people understand whom the holy prophet
[29:16]of Islam is and are inspired by the name Muhammad then this
[29:23]makes us think twice as to how we present ourselves in society
[29:27]the next time I'm out there and I am conducting myself in
[29:30]the way that I wish to with my colleagues at College at
[29:34]school or at the workplace where am I and where is this
[29:39]responsibility of the ambassadorship of representation of religion of Islam and the
[29:45]personality of rol in other words when I conduct myself when I'm
[29:53]driving on the streets and someone annoys me or I am there
[29:55]and I'm tempted to break the law of the land because we
[29:59]have a problem in certain societies that some Muslims have this false
[30:04]notion that I can do whatever I want just because they're non-believers
[30:09]that I am a Muslim and somehow I've decided I'm superior I
[30:16]can break the law of the land who says so our say
[30:18]that the law of the land has to be respected except on
[30:23]the rare instances that it contradicts Shar which we do not find
[30:27]in the majority of cases in the West when you and I
[30:32]are conducting our affairs with non-muslims when you and I are speaking
[30:36]with people when we and I you and I are conducting whatever
[30:38]we are we should carry this message that Allah subhana wa ta'ala
[30:45]has clearly sent to us for to reflect upon and that is
[30:50]we represent we represent the and we have a responsibility it's not
[30:55]just me personally it's not what I do out there it's what
[30:58]I I do that counts and people will judge My Religion my
[31:04]Prophet my my imams and therefore when I wear my hijab when
[31:07]it comes to the sisters and when I present myself in transactions
[31:12]for all brothers and sisters I need to be very careful of
[31:16]that and that recognition in order for me not to in any
[31:21]shape or form disregard this responsibility on my shoulders yet another manifestation
[31:29]of this is the Reviving of the Affairs of the holy prophet
[31:37]and his ensuring that we understand their lives we recall their tragedies
[31:43]and we uphold the majalis in their name and one of the
[31:52]greatest demonstration of this Ayah of is the of if you look
[32:03]around the world my dear brothers and sisters every the majalis of
[32:10]abdah increase by number the people who walk toala in the different
[32:17]times of the year but especially in increase in number and nobody
[32:22]is being forced nobody's putting a knife on their necks and saying
[32:28]come to the majalis and you come and people attend and they
[32:31]listen and they weep and they cry and they lament year after
[32:38]year after year and the message of Hussein continues to grow and
[32:45]to flourish and to indeed be heard by more and more people
[32:50]this is the powerful impact of the message and the Mal ofd
[32:55]and that's why the emphasized the importance of holding these I recall
[33:03]that one of the scholars one of our he used to say
[33:09]he used to say that the malalis ofd Hussein are an extension
[33:12]of the Haram of that you and I when we sit in
[33:21]these malalis and when we recall the tragedy and the of and
[33:24]when we take something and when we Implement that positive change and
[33:29]that change from within indeed this is extension from the of and
[33:34]at the same time we are counted as the Z of Hussein
[33:39]Ali why because of this instrumental process and this potential that these
[33:46]malis have question that some people pose is why should we gather
[33:57]why should we sit there why should we Recall why should we
[34:00]uphold these majalis what are the reasons what where is the indication
[34:08]in the Holy Quran Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in many instances the
[34:12]Holy Quran commands you and I to show love respect and loyalty
[34:16]towards the family of the holy prophet when it comes to what
[34:26]when it comes toah that we just spoke about about the Quran
[34:32]says question what is this of Allah this favor this blessing of
[34:40]the almighty that the Quran is instructing you and I to inform
[34:43]and to speak to other people about once ask somebody what is
[34:53]the meaning he says the response from one of his companions was
[34:59]that there are many favors there are many blessings of the almighty
[35:02]the fact that I can live the fact that I have wealth
[35:08]and I have health are all blessings IM says yes but here
[35:12]Allah talks about one one blessing what is that that man says
[35:27]Allah and his messenger and his family know better IM responds and
[35:32]says the answer is in the Quran look at how the extract
[35:37]these answers from the Quran what does he say he says look
[35:40]at ayat Al when Allah subhah waala says today I have completed
[35:56]my religion and indeed what fulfilled the favor upon you this that
[36:03]Allah subhanahu wa taala speaks about is the of of muhamad muhamad
[36:14]indeed this is a a blessing that you and I should be
[36:19]grateful to Allah subhana wa ta'ala for yet the almighty says not
[36:22]only should you be grateful but you should speak to people about
[36:28]invite them to the call and to the teachings and the wonderful
[36:31]ways of the question these M of Hussein that you and I
[36:43]are striving to establish and to attend like everything else has etiquet
[36:49]have adab have considerations that the have informed us they themselves were
[36:57]the on who first established the majalis of Hussein like whom like
[37:03]when the IM IM looks at a companion by the name ofab
[37:08]and says to him Shabib do you know which day this is
[37:12]a day like tomorrow the first of M he says to him
[37:17]this is the month by with the Jah the people at the
[37:19]time of ignorance used to respect its sanctity used to ensure that
[37:25]no blood is shed they would not initiate a to war during
[37:29]this month yet the umah of the holy prophet violated it they
[37:36]shed the blood of the family of rasool they killed his family
[37:41]they enslaved his women and indeed the Hadith is emphatic and very
[37:46]important but it highlights the establishment of the majalis that the IM
[37:50]would say to him if you were to cry over anyone cry
[38:04]over because he was slaughtered just like a sheep was would be
[38:10]slaughtered indeed these majales have etiquet have adab let's look at the
[38:15]etiquette and the adab of the majalis of Hussein of ab abdah
[38:21]number one our Scholars say that from the organizers of the majales
[38:26]to the reciter to those those who attend the intention has to
[38:33]be crystal clear for the sake of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in
[38:37]other words elas should be there sincerity should have should be established
[38:42]that these malalis are for the sake of the almighty why the
[38:45]Shan gets busy and stronger during these majalis utilizes an opportunity therefore
[38:53]as individuals as Believers we have to understand and plead to Allah
[39:02]to do what to strengthen our hearts so that every single action
[39:05]and every thought of ours is purely for his sake to Allah
[39:13]belongs this pure unadulterated pristine religion the religion of Islam is based
[39:20]and founded upon sincerity andas my dear brothers and sisters something that
[39:26]the B established brilliantly and the learned from them many of you
[39:30]have heard the story of the author of yet he's also the
[39:38]author of a book by the name of the Stations of ab
[39:46]himself states he says that my father who used to live in
[39:54]the holy city of one day went to the shrine of and
[39:58]listen to a lecture a sermon by another scholar and the scholar
[40:05]happened to pick up the book of Abbas and he said to
[40:10]his congregation I'm going to explain and I'm going to go through
[40:13]this book for you so the father of she Abbas the author
[40:19]of the book comes home looks at his son and says oh
[40:22]my dear son I wish you were like that Sheikh you would
[40:27]write a book like the book that was held up by that
[40:32]Sheikh now imagine put yourself in the position ofik Abbas Ali the
[40:35]first thing most of us will do is say what my father
[40:39]I am the author of that book don't worry right we would
[40:42]say that she abas became quiet he said to his father oh
[40:48]my father pray for me so that I will get that status
[40:50]one day he would not even wish to say to his father
[40:55]I am the author of the book lest there was intention inside
[41:01]his heart that it was not for the sake of Allah in
[41:04]case there was any ostentation that had crept inside his heart he
[41:13]would remain quiet he would remain silent a wretched individual a man
[41:22]who has darkened the history of Islam one day he said to
[41:26]his Entourage bring a group of people from the prison cells I
[41:29]wish to slaughter them this was ha he would consume his food
[41:35]over the skull of the of the sh of they bought him
[41:40]a group of prisoners from the cells he killed all of them
[41:42]until the final man it was time for Salah so he's looked
[41:48]at the soldier and he says to him hold on to this
[41:54]person it's time for Salah allahar it's time for Salah and he's
[41:57]slaughtering people he go goes away so this man looks at the
[41:59]soldier and says to him I ask you in the name of
[42:03]Allah let me go home and I have a number of debts
[42:07]that I have to fulfill and as well I wish to Bid
[42:12]Farewell to my family and I make Allah the I make the
[42:16]Allah the Cil between you and I Allah is witness that I
[42:22]will come back this Soldier said are you serious I can't let
[42:24]you go ha said I have to look after you he said
[42:29]he pleaded he said please let me go he said finally I
[42:33]let him go I don't know what happened to me but I
[42:38]let him go next morning I was sweating he hadn't turned up
[42:41]and then I heard a knock on the door he knocked I
[42:45]said you've returned he said why should I not return and Allah
[42:48]was the Cil I made Allah the witness that I will return
[42:52]so I took him I went to hajaj says where is he
[42:56]I said here he is I gave him the story ha thought
[42:58]for a moment he said okay I leave him for you you
[43:04]can do whatever you want with him I took him outside I
[43:05]said to him you're free to go at that moment this is
[43:09]the gist at that moment this man who is now free to
[43:13]go looked up to the heavens and says ald and he walked
[43:18]off this Soldier this Commander thought with himself he's so ungrateful he
[43:22]never said thanks to me it's because of me that I freed
[43:28]him and I left him I said to him he's become Crazy
[43:32]by the lord of the Kaa next day I hear a knock
[43:36]on the door it was that same man he came to me
[43:39]he said oh Soldier oh Commander I've come to say thank you
[43:44]to you why I did not wish to say thank you yesterday
[43:46]because I cannot say thank you to you and to Allah at
[43:53]the same time I cannot put you next to my Creator so
[43:55]I said thanks to Allah and next day I've come to say
[44:00]thanks to you in case my intention becomes distorted this is the
[44:04]importance that you and I have to take into consideration when it
[44:11]comes tolas and sincerity number one number two when the Imam was
[44:16]born when im Hussein was born narrations tell us authentic narrations tell
[44:20]us that he was presed before his grandfather rasool Allah rasool Allah
[44:25]looked at him and said this very important statement my dear brothers
[44:29]and sisters he said oh Allah disgrace whomsoever disgraces my grandson Hussein
[44:41]what does this mean one of the etiquet of the adab of
[44:44]the majales of ab abdah Hussein is what is that we have
[44:50]to ensure that we honor these blessed malalis by number one presenting
[44:55]ourselves in the best possible way our dress code should be that
[45:00]which is indeed respectful to the malalis of ab abdah number one
[45:06]number two when we finish the majalis we shouldn't allow The Temptations
[45:11]of the Shan to gossip to chat to backbite to dissect the
[45:17]lives of others we are still in the sanctity of the majalis
[45:20]of Hussein do not allow this to go away number three we
[45:26]need to utilize these majalis for the instrumental change and the profound
[45:33]way in which we can go forward in our lives in which
[45:35]way we need to ensure that we take notes from what is
[45:39]being said we need to it is recommended to come to the
[45:41]malalis of Hussein in W just like you're coming to the Haram
[45:47]of abdah it is recommended that when you come to these malalis
[45:51]you come with the intention that this muharam will not be the
[45:54]same as the previous years that I will make that oath of
[46:00]Covenant between me and Hussein that this mam will be different and
[46:03]I will change for the better tell me is there anyone amongst
[46:06]us that doesn't have something that we wish to change a negative
[46:13]attribute something that we would like to see different in our lives
[46:17]let's make muharam the station by which we make that important decision
[46:22]the majales of abdah are that great opportunity our hearts open they
[46:28]soften towards this great individual and what he stood for number three
[46:32]there is so much emphasis my dear brothers and sisters on weeping
[46:37]and crying he said in his was to his son when you
[46:46]bury me bury my handkerchief with me why because this handkerchief I
[46:50]used to use to to wipe the tears for abdah Hussein it
[46:58]next to me because he recognized the value of the tears that
[47:05]we shed for the of that the emphasize that whomsoever cries and
[47:16]makes others cry and even if you and I cannot cry the
[47:20]Traditions tell us that try to cry attempt to cry seek this
[47:26]sadness and this grief in your heart tell me if this was
[47:31]your relative if this was a loved one you would definitely cry
[47:34]you would definitely mourn how about the fact that it was the
[47:38]grandson of the holy prophet that the prophet of Islam would say
[47:44]that he is from me that R himself would cry over that
[47:46]the holy prophet himself would shed tears there is so much emphasis
[47:49]about the shedding of the tears why it's not only these tears
[47:55]these drops it's what these tears would do is what the impact
[47:58]of these tears would be the washing of our hearts A New
[48:04]Beginning a New Journey with the name Hussein that you and I
[48:08]can utilize and finally We Begin this revolution from within by attending
[48:15]the majalis of ab abdah in which way we recognize that IM
[48:19]Hussein stood to fight falsehood my dear brothers and sisters within us
[48:23]there is a yazid and within us there is a Hussein that
[48:28]there is a cry within us driving us towards righteousness driving us
[48:34]towards Good Deeds therefore what do we do that there is emphasis
[48:37]to serve in the majales of abdah do whatever you can if
[48:41]it means financial assistance for the majalis then you'll get be greatly
[48:45]rewarded if it means helping out by providing something for those who
[48:51]attend the majalis then you'll be rewarded in whatever capacity those Hussein
[48:56]those who serve the ma Allah subhah wa ta'ala will reward them
[48:59]greatly on the day of judgment and this establishment of indeed on
[49:16]this particular day and in this night as we have recalled the
[49:20]position of the holy prophet there is one place to go and
[49:22]that is Medina recalling the time thatd Hussein would bid his Farewell
[49:30]to his grandfather AB IM the his grandfather the holy prophet what
[49:37]had happened 15th of rajab 6 ah mua AB sufyan dies and
[49:45]his son yazid becomes the khif forcefully he sends a message to
[49:48]his governor in Medina Al and says take Allegiance and oath and
[49:54]from people but importantly three individuals Hussein Ali abdah Zu and abdah
[50:04]make sure these three give you IM Hussein was in the Masjid
[50:11]of the holy prophet praying supplicating and at that time the messenger
[50:15]from W comes and says the governor of Medina wishes to see
[50:22]you next to him was Abdullah Zub Abdullah I Zub is petrified
[50:25]he says I'm not sure why we're being called at this time
[50:31]it was dark it was late at night IM Hussein says I
[50:34]know why mua has died and has assumed this Kingdom that they
[50:39]themselves have created and they want B from us IM Al Hussein
[50:44]goes to that meeting he informs his loyal faithful brother AB Abbas
[50:49]that stand outside with 30 of Benny Hashim and if you hear
[50:55]Cries From Within then come inside and take me out he goes
[50:58]to to that meeting he sits looks at him next to him
[51:04]is Maran he says to him now it's time to give to
[51:06]yaid yazid has become the k for the Muslims IM Hussein says
[51:12]to him it is not befitting for me to be in a
[51:16]small room in front of you why don't we go tomorrow in
[51:18]front of people and you can say whatever you wish to say
[51:23]at that moment is thinking Mar the arch enemy of the says
[51:27]he says to do not let him leave why because if you
[51:32]let him leave he will never give make sure he give otherwise
[51:35]kill him IM Hussein looks at him and says oh the the
[51:43]son of the blue-eyed women are you making me are you scaring
[51:48]me with death and then he looks at the governor says oh
[51:54]Governor listen to this this is the Imam outlining his message he's
[51:59]saying yazid is a drunken individual is a f is a Wretched
[52:06]Man who kills innocent Souls who usurps property someone like me can
[52:13]never give allegiance to somebody like yazid at that moment there's commotion
[52:19]inside the B hash enters and IM hin leaves that meeting next
[52:23]morning of course he is visited or somehow he sees Maran says
[52:31]to him if I was you I give to ya IM Hussein
[52:36]says forget Islam if we are ruled by an individual called Yaz
[52:44]muaah and indeed IM Al Hussein set his mission absolutely crystal clear
[52:53]the motive was to what to uproot Injustice and oppression and and
[52:57]to reform the umah of the holy prophet and it was indeed
[53:02]the time to bit farewell that night he went next to the
[53:06]grave of his beloved grandfather rasool Allah he sits next to the
[53:12]Grave he weeps and cries he says to his grandfather Yol Allah
[53:17]this is what your um is planning to do this is the
[53:24]state of the situation of the people he falls asleep he finds
[53:27]in his sleep holy prophet he looks at the prophet he says
[53:35]J oh my grandfather Take me towards you the prophet says to
[53:53]him there is a status that Allah has deserved for you that
[53:59]you will not attain except with marom you need to go you
[54:03]need to go tobala IM Hussein says I do not wish to
[54:06]go back to this world I wish to remain with you y
[54:11]allahar it was time to Bid Farewell narrations tell us that IM
[54:19]Hussein also bid his farewell to the Grave to The Hidden Grave
[54:22]of his beloved mother fa Z to many people who in Medina
[54:31]including the faithful wife of the holy prophet um Sal he comes
[54:34]to her she says to him do not make me saddened do
[54:40]not make me grieve over your loss do not go I plead
[54:42]with you IM Hussein to her says to her y this is
[54:49]the path that Allah has written for me this is the path
[54:55]of mam yet I will take my family with me I will
[54:57]take my bait with me why do you have to take your
[55:08]bait it is the will of Allah that they are seen as
[55:13]captives narrations tell us that before he left Medina he had a
[55:17]daughter by the name of fa a young daughter who was Ill
[55:24]by the name of Fatima he comes next to her he bits
[55:26]her farewell she looks at him can you imagine a small daughter
[55:33]bidding her farewell to her father oh my father take me with
[55:36]you do not leave me alone in this city IM Hussein cannot
[55:43]take his daughter she is too ill to take her with him
[55:46]yet she looks at him and says if you cannot take me
[55:52]with you then leave me my brother don't take this young six-month-old
[55:59]child Ali leave this six-month-old child with me allahar she does not
[56:08]know what is awaiting what will happen to this young child of
[56:13]Hussein on the 10th of muharam the messenger brings a letter from
[56:20]the daughter of abah the daughter of ab abdah by the name
[56:26]of asks her father Oh My Father tell me what is the
[56:34]news what kind of news she's looking for what is the news
[56:43]of my uncle abas IM Hussein looks on his right from far
[56:47]he could see the body of his brother she says tell me
[56:55]the news of my brother Al IM Hussein looks at the tent
[57:04]there in there in the body of Ali says how is my
[57:13]brother the young six-month old child the time of Dua in the
