[3:38]Salam alikum everyone and welcome to the myyc program we'd like to

[3:44]start off tonight by recitation of the Holy Quran the Arabic will

[7:24]gracious most merciful the day of noise and clamor what is the

[7:28]day of noise and clamor and what to what the day of

[7:32]noise and clamor is it is a day where on men will

[7:36]be like moths scattered about and the mountains will be like carded

[7:39]wool then he whose balance of good deeds will be found heavy

[7:42]will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfication but he

[7:48]who is balance of good deeds will be found light will have

[7:51]his home in a bottomless pit and what will explain to you

[7:57]what this is it is a fire blazing fiercely so [Music] can

[10:24]other places even Houston and the only time I've ever gotten nervous

[10:27]speaking is when my mom in 10 minutes so this is her

[10:33]second time here so I want to welcome her and show with

[10:35]a large I just want to ask for her forgiveness for all

[10:43]the Mischief I was probably causing as a little boy young man

[10:46]teenager and that I'm still probably calls in for her for the

[10:51]foress no nothing for my sister sister you need to ask for

[11:14]who disputes and respect of Allah though having no knowledge nor guidance

[11:19]nor a book giving life Allah says everything that I've created for

[11:27]you is subservient for you but yet we have so many trials

[11:34]and tribulations why you know the the example that I want to

[11:37]give is you know one of the things that we look for

[11:41]is bury treasure if you're going into one of the biggest places

[11:44]for bury treasure is in Africa we look for what in Africa

[11:47]Diamonds the rarest diamonds they'll dig deep they'll kill people for those

[11:51]diamonds other place for very treasure that they look for is in

[11:57]oil fields right now the dollar the strength is behind oil for

[12:00]you only could trade oil for a dollar you can't trade oil

[12:04]for anything else in the world that's how dollar has its value

[12:07]but that's not where the most valuable Buri treasure is I believe

[12:11]it's in the cemetery you may ask why why how could it

[12:15]be in the cemetery the reason why is because so many people

[12:19]die and they have so much to give and they were never

[12:23]told that they were subservient this world was subservient to them they

[12:49]about this is when somebody comes to you let's say you wanted

[12:51]to go to college and they look at you says you'll never

[12:55]make it you can't do it let's say you want to play

[12:56]basketball in college you're not tall enough you know no way you'll

[13:01]be able to make it like I have a friend same thing

[13:04]people used to come to him you'll never be able to do

[13:08]it if you would have listened to one of them you would

[13:10]have never have gotten it usually we don't listen to people somebody

[13:14]comes to you and says why you hanging out with that person

[13:16]he's no good or doing this usually that gives us strength to

[13:24]keep doing it it's like when somebody finds somebody they want to

[13:27]marry and your mother and father says don't marry them that usually

[13:32]gives a streak to go after you say no I want to

[13:33]show you I can do it or somebody tells you you can't

[13:38]do it that gives you strength the irony is when that strange

[13:42]these strange thoughts come in your mind and not from your people

[13:46]when you want to do something and that strange thought comes to

[13:49]you and says you can't do it don't do it it's like

[13:53]you know you want to go into college you start thinking I

[13:56]can't do it that that that's too tough becoming a lawyer doctor

[14:00]I can't do it these strange thoughts we actually start listening to

[14:04]it's similar I was giving the example earlier imagine like somebody you

[14:09]walk in your home and you walk in the lights were closed

[14:12]you open the lights and there's a strange man in the house

[14:17]what would you do you would probably call the police would you

[14:21]offer them tea would you say hey stay a while I like

[14:25]you you'd say no there's a crazy man in the house get

[14:29]him out you would never entertain that person but we do the

[14:32]same with those strange thoughts that come in our mind we entertain

[14:35]them and we have them sit down stay a while some of

[14:40]us stay until we die that's that very treasure we never kicked

[14:44]out that stranger you know I want to do an experiment this

[14:50]point this is somebody asked me to just don't do the the

[14:55]normal lecture I said I'm going to try so there's two things

[14:59]I going do that a little ADD and to to do this

[15:02]I need a volunteer nobody need one volunteer all right sister you

[16:13]thousand reasons not to do something I was just talking to brother

[16:17]here my brother Nim he's married to my niece not even an

[16:21]hour ago I said what made it what made you become a

[16:24]pharmacist he's a pharmacist now and he said freshman my teacher told

[16:31]me I can't do it then as a sophomore my principal told

[16:34]me you're never going to graduate junior year the teachers kept calling

[16:41]the house so much negative energy says everybody around me was negative

[16:45]and I always thought I would never be able to make it

[16:49]I I was fixating in my mind he allowed these negative thoughts

[16:52]to control them he said then I was able to graduate but

[16:58]he still was unsure then he said I had had one thought

[17:00]one suggestion by a friend friend came to me and says you

[17:04]know you could do it why don't you come with me to

[17:07]Toledo and try it out what do you have to lose he

[17:12]did now he's graduated he got married to that person in the

[17:18]same school they ended up going together and he ended up finding

[17:21]his wife there now alhamdulillah he's having a kid and I told

[17:24]him the sky is the limit and I asked I said do

[17:27]you think you would have achieved that would have kept listening to

[17:29]yourself in a negativity no way you think you'd be sitting here

[17:32]do you think you would have gotten married do you think you

[17:34]would have had a kid never all it takes is one negative

[17:38]thought to control us and we don't realize that there's so much

[17:42]negativity in the community when that I was I used to be

[17:44]this way I still am in so many ways I remember when

[17:47]I used to go to the camp you know there's we have

[17:51]the only Muslim camp in the country in the world and I

[17:54]would look around and the place was a forest there's nothing and

[18:01]I looked at the founder has I said you're building a camp

[18:04]in the middle of nowhere said what if nobody comes what if

[18:09]this what if that kept giving negativity he looked at me he

[18:14]says what if they do because if one person comes isn't it

[18:17]worth it he says when Allah says this world is subservient do

[18:22]you think Allah will deny you and every time we start a

[18:26]new project I always asking are you sure and his Fai is

[18:28]nothing's going to stop them and if that was me we would

[18:32]have stopped at the camp we wouldn't be at WISE right now

[18:35]he said let's start a youth group let's start an after school

[18:37]then I came to him let's start a school he didn't hesitate

[18:41]he said do it if you have the backing go ahead then

[18:43]I told him it's going to it's going to cost us51 million

[18:48]between the two locations says it's not from us it's from Allah

[18:51]Allah says this world is subserviant why you allowing negativity to come

[18:56]in why are you allowing that stranger to sit then we ask

[19:02]ourselves when we're 70 80 if only go ask the elderly people

[19:07]ask them what's your biggest regret they've done a study on this

[19:12]their biggest regret is worrying about things that they don't have control

[19:16]over the example is imagine your cars in Detroit right now how

[19:20]many of us think this way it's in Detroit and you had

[19:25]to leave it there then the next day you and your mom

[19:28]are going and not say it was your mom's car you're driving

[19:30]your mom there and your mom's like H I wonder if the

[19:36]windows broken I wonder if somebody robbed the car I wonder if

[19:39]somebody keed it I wonder if somebody took the tires the whole

[19:44]time she's woring but then you pause your mom and says well

[19:47]do you know what's going to happen no why are you worrying

[19:53]about them why don't you worry about the now so much our

[19:56]thoughts are in the past and in the future they never focus

[20:01]on them now and they scramble us when she gets there and

[20:05]she realizes ah nothing happened that car was perfectly fine if she

[20:10]would have KN known that beforehand would she have worried would she

[20:15]have been distressed no but since she didn't know she called herself

[20:19]the word Allah says why are you worrying I made this world

[20:26]subservient to you I've painted a clear picture for you why why

[20:29]have you ignored it why don't you believe it's usually because we

[20:32]allow these negative thoughts to come in so what some of the

[20:42]ways to overcome these negative thoughts is by understanding ourselves Ali says

[20:47]you know your soul you know yourself those who know their lord

[20:51]know themselves one of the ways that they explained it is that

[20:56]we're broken up in four major Powers there's the power of intellect

[20:59]the power of anger the power of desire and the power of

[21:02]imagination intellect needs to control imagination your fears your anger and your

[21:09]desires that's how you get into higher states of existence unfortunately we

[21:13]reverse it our anger now give you an example sometimes controls our

[21:18]intellect I remember I used to go to the fing club with

[21:23]this person he was the only person when I started going to

[21:25]the fing Club he would whisper in the ear watch out for

[21:29]this person this person this person you would come sit with me

[21:31]cuz what are you going to do with your life what are

[21:33]you going to do with your career this is why I'm sharing

[21:38]the story then week two weeks go by after I had talked

[21:40]to him and he was at a he owned the gas station

[21:44]and the gas station across the street sold gas for $1.99 his

[21:50]brother came said you put it for $1.98 the gas station across

[21:55]the street $1.97 that gas station $1.96 the gas station across the

[22:02]street $150 every time he they pump gas they lost money so

[22:04]his brother went there to say hey what's going on why are

[22:09]we doing this this is foolish one of the workers came out

[22:14]and hit him with the sign that they changed the gas station

[22:17]prices with the brother saw this came across the street to protect

[22:21]his brother the owner witnessed this grabbed the gun shot him and

[22:27]the brother passed away over Penny why because somebody's anger got in

[22:32]control of them that's a Buri treasure now where somebody's anger same

[22:36]thing basketball there's no reflection they're playing basketball two brothers group of

[22:43]people playing the guy elbows him he looks at him he says

[22:48]what are you doing stop then he Els him again the guy

[22:49]turns around snacks him his friends are laughing at him says oh

[22:55]you want to laugh again anger Shan is claing there no need

[22:59]to laugh he goes grabs a gun shoots him every time now

[23:02]I go to the funeral to the cemetery to pray for my

[23:07]father I see the mother there crying over a basketball game over

[23:11]putting a ball through a hoop if I would have asked the

[23:15]same Brothers if that never happened if I were to ask them

[23:17]today who won that basketball game they said I have no idea

[23:23]if I ask you week ago you were playing Xbox who won

[23:25]or lost I don't remember but yet you're willing to give up

[23:30]your life for it you're willing to give up your future over

[23:32]forgotten memory Shan is clapping and the angels have their hands in

[23:38]their head saying why what are you doing why are you allowing

[23:41]these negative thoughts to control you it's a game but Allah says

[23:44]what is going on think the other ones are the power of

[23:54]imagination where we become submissive if you want to know where do

[24:00]people fall astray is they don't allow themselves to use their imagination

[24:03]to to reach high levels of existence other people come in and

[24:06]put their imagination here do this here smoke this here go out

[24:13]with this girl here listen to this oh really they didn't use

[24:16]their intellect to control their imagination to say wait let me think

[24:21]twice fire you know there's a cupcake in front of you you're

[24:29]500 lb you're about to eat it power of Desire but your

[24:34]F the intellect Whispers in the ear you just ate 32 cupcakes

[24:41]two hours ago 500 lbs enough's enough if he's able to listen

[24:44]to his intellect he won't shoot the person he's able to listen

[24:47]to the intellect they won't fight over pennies he's able to listen

[24:52]to his intellect his F he'll lose weight butan keeps us busy

[24:56]with these negative thoughts and then we think and we become confused

[25:01]thinking that this controls us there's even a sister here she came

[25:05]to me she's graduating in from wi Academy this year she says

[25:09]I want to be a pilot she wears full hij I looked

[25:11]at her you want to become a pilot said yeah said but

[25:15]there's a problem what she says I need to do an internship

[25:20]and I got to get a pilot to internship me said who's

[25:22]going to in my back of my mind negative thought who would

[25:28]allow a Muslim girl especially now to become a pilot especially post

[25:33]911 I said I'm going to pray I'm going to try to

[25:39]help you and I tried I got nowhere then a week I

[25:44]think went by she came to me say guess what I got

[25:46]one response thinking Subhan Allah she didn't stop she went after I'm

[25:50]assuming 99 people would have said impossible try a different profession she

[25:55]says no I'm going to keep going what if it doesn't happen

[26:00]she says what if it does this is I guess I'm going

[26:09]to try to make it a simple way of explaining it you

[26:11]know when you were in the womb of your mother if you're

[26:15]able to talk I'm assuming the conversation will go like this you

[26:20]look at your hands say what are these for I don't need

[26:24]these you look at your feet why did my Creator create these

[26:29]things I don't have no use for them put your hands over

[26:34]your eyes I don't need to see look at your head why

[26:39]do I got here this is I don't need these things then

[26:42]you said all I care about is eating and sleeping then you

[26:47]start getting pulled out and you start screaming no keep me in

[26:50]here I'm comfortable I don't want to get out then you come

[26:54]out and if you're able to talk you look who's that person

[26:57]oh that's my that's your mother who's that person oh that's your

[27:04]father oh what strange creatures and then you look and you see

[27:08]oh that's what their hands are for oh that's what their feet

[27:15]are for thank God I didn't tell God to get rid of

[27:17]them and then you look at your eyes and say ah now

[27:21]I could see then a mirror what is that oh that's you

[27:28]who that's us now we have an existence now Heaven and Hell

[27:36]exist now we're creating it and there's a hidden uh window mirror

[27:40]in front of us now that we can't see why because of

[27:46]the negativity when will it become apparent for some of us in

[27:49]this world some of us in the next most of us in

[27:52]the next when we wake up we say oh that's why I

[27:58]should have prayed now I see the reason oh that's why I

[28:01]should have continued school that's why oh I shouldn't have had two

[28:07]tongues and I would talk one way with my friends and one

[28:08]way with my mother now I'm raised there's a mirror in front

[28:12]of me I got two tongues oh I shouldn't have double fa

[28:14]we been two faed now I have two faces and then you

[28:18]look at the mirror say I'm a serpent why because I was

[28:23]sneaky that's Heaven that's hell the other one is where you look

[28:26]you say oh that's beautiful that's you why why oh because you

[28:29]gave back you gave charity you didn't allow negativity to overcome you

[28:33]you were able to bring that treasure out of you because Allah

[28:37]says this world was subservient for you you didn't allow yourself to

[28:40]be buried with it what a glorious moment that would be imagine

[28:44]right now if I speak about you and I say you know

[28:48]this person is a great person this person is well received and

[28:55]then they show you a video of you that you came in

[28:56]here and there was a phone on the floor you know imagine

[29:01]if you were like in middle school or high school and then

[29:04]the principal came in front of you and says Bravo this person

[29:09]walked by this phone instead of taking it he came and he

[29:12]found the person and he gave it to him and then everybody's

[29:16]clapping how would that person feel that'd be amazing you feel very

[29:24]proud that's day of judgment the camera will be in front of

[29:27]you oh you didn't allow that negative person to talk to you

[29:31]he didn't allow him to overcome you you overcame that problem when

[29:36]a problem came to you instead of telling that Pro that that

[29:39]Allah about your problems and how big they are you went to

[29:44]your problem and you said how big your lord is to overcome

[29:46]it and then the angels are clapping that's what life's about because

[29:52]we have two people on our shoulders taking a scroll and that

[29:55]camera will be in and everything that you do will be shown

[29:58]either it'll be up to he saying it's like right now imagine

[30:03]I show a video of you doing something bad you're like and

[30:05]your parents say hey you did this and then your parents were

[30:09]able to prove it with a video you'll be frozen cuz before

[30:11]that you were like no I didn't do it and the video

[30:15]show that feeling is a sick feeling why do we feel that

[30:21]way because we allow others to influence us because we don't allow

[30:24]our thoughts to stop right now we're at the age of acceleration

[30:30]this is controlling us you know when I pause a computer or

[30:36]an iPad if I'm watching a video it stops but when I

[30:40]pause a a human being it starts why because when you pause

[30:48]and take a break from this you're forced to reflect you're forced

[30:51]to think cu the first rule in Islam is to do is

[30:57]to reflect that's when you get to rely on Allah Allah says

[31:01]you cannot rely on me until you think about it right now

[31:06]in this digital age time is changing remember before the clock they

[31:10]used to use the sun they used to use Shadows that's how

[31:13]you used to determined time now there the clock time was determined

[31:19]that way now we're to the second now time is changing with

[31:22]this where the way we perceive time and look at time it's

[31:24]changing where this is telling us don't pause keep going it's a

[31:32]race Allah says oh no pause take your time and pray go

[31:34]in reflective mode because those are the times that you're going to

[31:40]come up with an idea and if you don't this will come

[31:42]up for an idea with you and it will not be a

[31:45]good idea I'll give a couple stories there's one brother here that

[31:58]I just actually spoke to the father today he was in my

[32:03]office about two months ago the father kept asking me come meet

[32:07]my son come meet him I said okay I met with him

[32:13]very good boy pray fast was very respectful to his father I

[32:16]sat with him I said what's going on he said well I

[32:20]moved out of my house said why said I wanted to start

[32:24]my own corporate business and my dad didn't want me to I

[32:27]said well how much you making CU I'm making $250 said how

[32:31]much are you making with your father said ,000 said okay were

[32:34]you making more with your father why don't you go live back

[32:36]said no I want to do it on my own and his

[32:40]phone kept ringing so his phone kept ringing I said answer it

[32:44]said no said answer it said no I said I bet you

[32:50]that's your friend and he's about to complain why aren't you answering

[32:52]your phone cuzz I bet you that's the same friend that told

[32:58]told would you yeah most likely Allah is going to forgive him

[33:02]I could let my life on almost so it's the others now

[33:07]his friends the reason why his Allah took his life is to

[33:11]wake up his friends to say okay I took him you can

[33:16]be next what are you doing to prepare for that day unfortunately

[33:19]that death will go people will forget and then Allah will have

[33:23]to take somebody else if you notice in the community every year

[33:27]two years every year almost now Allah is taking somebody Hello wake

[33:31]up that could be you next are you allowing negative thoughts to

[33:36]come in are you going to be buried with that treasure or

[33:38]are you going to go in front of the Angels well pleased

[33:43]where you're ready or we going to be the reverse we say

[33:46]I screw up the way I could explain it is imagine you

[33:56]walk in this room and you see a box and you see

[34:02]all of your family members there and you look at this box

[34:09]and you say you look at it and you see that's you

[34:11]you look see that's me and then you're looking around why is

[34:18]everybody here and then you realize that this is your funeral then

[34:22]you're watching people are talking about you the question I have for

[34:27]each every one of us putting myself what would they be saying

[34:33]what do you want to be known as you know when you

[34:35]when there's a funeral you don't talk about them this person was

[34:41]a billionaire or this person owned this business or this person owned

[34:44]a Corvette you notice in your funeral they don't talk about that

[34:47]what do they talk about the good things that that person did

[34:53]he started an orphanage he gave he took care of his mother

[34:55]he was good to his parents that's how we want to be

[35:01]representative imagine where you die and you're in a place that you

[35:04]shouldn't be what im Ali says CU right now in this community

[35:09]it's Friday night most people in this community are not doing this

[35:12]unfortunately they're in Michigan Avenue filling up the bars unfortunately they're in

[35:19]downtown filling up the casinos Allah says how embarrassing what if I

[35:24]take care of life right there what would you you imagine your

[35:29]mother realizes that you are there and that's where your life my

[35:32]M says be careful of the last place that you go don't

[35:36]allow these friends to come in manipulate your mind control your imagination

[35:40]you end up taking something and that's it one of the other

[35:44]things that we do is we do drug intervention one of the

[35:50]things that's really spreading is heroin it takes one gateway drug prescription

[35:55]meds goes to heroin goes to crack your life is over your

[35:58]mother is struggling for the rest of her life why because of

[36:03]one negative suggestion here you go most likely it's because we didn't

[36:06]have that positive influence most likely one of the things that I

[36:12]noticed in the community you go to your dad you go to

[36:14]your mom uh dad I started texting this boy and I sent

[36:21]them this picture and I feel really bad what do we do

[36:25]we judge how can you do this what's wrong with with you

[36:28]what are you doing what did you just send that message to

[36:33]your daughter or your son ah this person just judged me I

[36:35]will never expose myself to that person again even if it's their

[36:41]mother and father if you judge what do they do they they

[36:43]learn and now who are they going to go talk to those

[36:47]same friends they're going to avoid you that's what's happening in the

[36:50]community we don't have that bond in that Community where parents allow

[36:53]these negative thoughts to come in it's controlling them how dare they

[36:57]this and they're condemning them where they already came to you they

[37:03]felt guilty that's why they came to you but it's not happening

[37:05]I tell you the best parents that I've seen when they have

[37:07]that friendship relationship where they could tell them anything okay so has

[37:20]anybody here ever heard of you know if I give you two

[37:25]companies one company just the just I want to just talk about

[37:31]a little bit how our mind is shaped if I give you

[37:37]two companies you know one we owned by Microsoft given hundreds of

[37:42]millions of dollars and they're told put the encyclopedia on the web

[37:48]they had the best web developers in the country at that time

[37:53]this was in the '90s they spent hundred of Million Dollar on

[37:58]project and they told if you do it we'll give you stock

[38:00]options and instantly all of you will become millionaires if this becomes

[38:04]public they said okay at the same time another company started same

[38:12]exact time no money only put this information on the web is

[38:17]if you enjoy it because we don't have any funds both companies

[38:21]if you look at the way uh Corporate America works this is

[38:25]like David Goliath which one's going to work so the first company

[38:32]if I say the name if I anybody ever heard of inard

[38:39]one person anybody else you want to know why I went bankrupt

[38:45]anybody ever heard of a company called nuia it's a billion dollar

[38:53]company what was the difference the first one negative thoughts oh we're

[38:57]going to do it for the money we're going to do it

[38:59]for this we're going to do it for the fame that's why

[39:02]we're going to do it not for the joy of doing it

[39:05]it's like when somebody says what do you have a joy in

[39:07]well I have a joy in becoming a chef and then their

[39:11]parents say Chef you won't make any money go become a doctor

[39:15]go become a lord no but that's your passion you become a

[39:18]chef and your passionate you become the top we take that away

[39:23]so you know well these people were told in car $100 million

[39:26]it was a distraction what was a distraction money so many times

[39:29]we have money is a distra distraction Fame and so on another

[39:33]company no distraction they were passionate about putting information on the web

[39:38]they succeeded they did a famous study on this they had two

[39:45]groups of people first group of people they had same same um

[39:49]same things in front of them one group had the thumb TXS

[39:54]in the Box Candlestick match another group same thing they were told

[39:58]the first group you put this box on the wall similar you

[40:01]know box on the I mean the Candlestick on the wall hanging

[40:06]you win you'll get a prize and we'll praise you okay the

[43:10]these negative thoughts that come into our mind we allow money to

[43:20]in anger and desires how the most irrational things that they will

[43:24]do but one of the talks about is in MIT they put

[43:29]Starburst and they told the first group of people that this is

[43:37]free Starbucks the second Hall they had to pay a penny well

[43:44]I'm sorry yeah a penny so you would think people would take

[43:50]more from the free one than from the penny right if you

[43:53]had stb you had to pay for it you would take less

[43:57]if it was free you would take more so they did this

[44:01]on average the penny they took three Starbursts here they took one

[44:13]why why do you think that was the case anybody have any

[44:18]idea before I answer yes brother could buy more well no they

[44:21]they're able to buy the the the free one they could have

[44:32]somebody's being generous like they don't want to like take everything perfect

[44:36]what happens is the market Norm when we pay for something we

[44:40]think we own it we don't think of others but when something

[44:45]is free we start thinking about other people that's so true Black

[44:52]there the lady was in front of her and she was walking

[44:57]slow and and she yells at him this old lady what's wrong

[44:59]with you why are you walking in a straight line I've been

[45:01]behind you for an hour she's snapping why because she wants to

[45:05]spend money it's that market Norm she's not thinking about anybody else

[45:10]the same here market Norm no spending I'll take as many free

[45:14]I want to think about somebody else so look you're forced to

[45:19]think about it but when money comes in the way you forget

[45:21]the world you're able to kill somebody for a penny remember the

[45:27]gas station EXA Brothers stop becoming Brothers over money it's the irony

[45:33]in life there's a story in the the book The the seven

[45:36]heavens of Highly affective people person was on the bus now end

[45:42]with the story person was on the bus and there was a

[45:46]bunch of kids running around and a minute goes by two minutes

[45:50]go by 3 minutes go by and he got fed up he

[45:54]saw this man didn't get up so he said I'm going to

[45:59]tell him this is the author of the book it happened to

[46:00]him he went to him and he says what are you doing

[46:05]these kids are running rampid what are you doing we're in a

[46:09]bus we still have another 20 minute ride get them the person

[46:17]what we were just at the hospital and their mother just died

[46:19]and we don't know what to do the person who went and

[46:27]accused him felt so bad said oh I feel horrible how many

[46:32]times before we go and argue about somebody back bite somebody we

[46:36]give them an excuse why don't we give them an excuse because

[46:42]our thought Shan comes in does the w says no he's doing

[46:45]this he's doing that it's like imagine right now I dropped my

[46:50]phone you say ah he's foolish he's clumsy he's this he's that

[46:53]but if you were sitting here in you Dro your phone you'd

[46:59]give yourself excuses oh I was tired or I didn't see it

[47:01]or this or that for yourself you notice you never judge yourself

[47:06]you give yourself excuses like when you steal something let's say when

[47:19]that we don't give ourselves excuses the irony of life it's very

[47:23]irrational but it's very very predictable why little bit of reflection we're

[47:27]not reflecting enough we're not allowing ourselves to think and stay in

[47:32]freeze we don't pause to start we don't wait to say ah

[47:36]maybe it's because of that or maybe I should do this just

[47:39]like prayer we don't pause it's prayer time playing video games it's

[47:44]PR time we're out eating it's PR time I don't pray right

[47:50]now in the community you know it's and I have no judgment

[47:53]to me I don't know what's going to happen to me on

[47:56]Judgement Day but in the community every week you're hearing stories sisters

[48:00]are taking off their hijab why most likely negative thoughts instead of

[48:05]encourag somebody to put it on we're convincing others now to take

[48:08]it off oh look at the way she's dress because she dresses

[48:14]that way negative thought she should take off the hij instead what

[48:18]should we be saying no positive and keep her hijab on and

[48:24]in her dress improves it's like imagine alcoholic or somebody who owns

[48:30]a liquor store he came to save kazini let's say or came

[48:33]to wise here's a donation and then you take it then you

[48:36]find out later it's from the liquor store oh he should never

[48:40]you would never say he should stop giving charity you would say

[48:44]he should stop the liquor store but why is it with other

[48:47]things we say no they should stop wearing this they should stop

[48:51]doing a good thing you never want to stop a good thing

[48:52]and control your thoughts to think that right I want everybody look

[49:15]Holy Quran they have eyes but they don't see they have hearts

[54:33]you ask for forgiveness all of your sins are forgiven don't even

[54:35]question it it's a verse in the Holy Quran Allah says don't

[54:40]judge you don't know what's going to happen to you on Judgment

[54:43]Day don't judge others pleas this world is subserviant to you don't

[54:47]rely on human beings relying yourself and Allah and watch how sub

[54:54]how humans come and help you that person will come a counselor

[54:56]oh you want to go to this school I know this person

[55:00]you want to go to Pharmacy oh I know this this door

[55:02]will open you ask yourself how did this happen Allah says because

[55:07]this world is subservient to you anything you want in this world

[55:09]you can have but don't allow negative thoughts to come your way

[55:14]some of us here are discouraged to do higher things either your

[55:16]parents are discouraging or other things are discouraging don't look there's a

[55:21]there's a true story there's a dog that got hit by a

[55:26]car it broke it back two legs it healed but it was

[55:30]always limping eventually it had puppies the puppy started to walk it

[55:34]start the puppy started limping so the person that own the dog

[55:39]said did they get H in the accident too they took it

[55:43]to the vet and the vet said no the dogs are perfectly

[55:47]fine so why is it walking the Lim because it learned from

[55:50]its parents it learned from its friend it learned from its neighbor

[55:56]we walking with a limb we don't realize we have nothing wrong

[55:59]with us there's nothing that can stop us I'm telling you I'm

[56:37]gave up in school I had no Direction teacher came to me

[56:43]and said what are you doing come here I would go to

[56:45]school late every day try to wake up my sister to take

[56:49]me to school she she'd be sleeping and actually I wouldn't wake

[56:52]me up she tried waking me up I'd stay sleeping she says

[56:55]you're going to come a little bit early to school and I'm

[57:01]going to call your house every day so every day she would

[57:05]call my house to wake up I would go to school I

[57:07]was getting a eat in the class she would spend time with

[57:11]me she would help me at the end of the semester I

[57:15]got an name it was geametry that was the first time where

[57:18]somebody outside of my family gave me confidence I said ah I

[57:23]put in the effort I could do it is telling us each

[57:25]and every one of you put in the effort you can do

[57:29]whatever you put your mind to the only reason why you won't

[57:33]do it is because of these NE negative thoughts don't let this

[57:38]irrational Behavior Define you get rid of it and Achieve greatness okay
