[0:25]an average person spends three and a half hours a day on

[0:29]their phones on average most people check their phones about 58 times

[0:37]every single day now scrolling through social media shopping news gaming or

[0:43]other sites has become a common daily habit for most of us

[0:46]yet with this comes a war we're fighting in as Muslims the

[0:50]bombardment in our phones of images clips and adverts that are Haram

[0:58]I.E prohibited islamically to look at whether it's on YouTube or some

[1:04]indecent sites or pornographic sites there are many who are struggling due

[1:09]to the easy access and widespread exposure here are 10 suggested ways

[1:15]to stop watching Haram number one do what are yes we must

[1:20]rely on and ask the almighty subhanallah first and foremost because any

[1:26]success is from him and him alone remember that supplications are weapons

[1:30]of the believer and God wants to help us to protect ourselves

[1:34]from that which pollutes our souls keep praying speak to Allah from

[1:39]your heart and don't give up number two it's important to understand

[1:43]how these traps online work we are all exposed to triggers continuously

[1:52]whether it's through suggestions forwards reposts or adverts which seek to pull

[1:59]us towards watching indecency once we watch we begin to justify oh

[2:04]it's better than adultery or that I'm a good person who prays

[2:07]and does good and that surely God will forgive me or belittling

[2:50]or YouTube for example and know that they follow algorithms to keep

[2:56]suggesting videos based on what we've watched 4.

[3:00]It's important also as Believers to understand how the eyes are precious

[3:04]creations of the almighty subhanahu wa ta'ala and that controlling what we

[3:10]look at and watch is key to being a servant of Allah

[3:13]the Quran in chapter 40 verse 19 tells us that looking at

[3:20]Haram is part of the treachery of the eyes in a narration

[3:23]tells us be wary of what you look at for a plant's

[3:28]desire in the heart and brings about tribulations it will then blind

[3:32]the heart Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam is narrated to have said

[3:36]whosoever fills their eyes with Haram Allah will fill their eyes with

[3:43]fire on the day of judgment except if they sincerely repent and

[3:47]the same time Islamic teachings tell us of the wonderful rewards and

[3:53]importantly impacts in this world of those who turn away or in

[3:56]the case of our phones don't click or look at forbidden or

[4:02]Haram videos and images turn away your eyes subsequently you will see

[4:11]wonders five on that basis we need to appreciate therefore that we're

[4:16]up against Satan but we can win is narrated to have said

[4:24]looking at Haram is one of the arrows of shaytan whosoever abandons

[5:21]pounds to the orphans now what this does is create a barrier

[5:26]the next time you want to watch you'll feel guilty and reluctant

[5:29]since you wouldn't want to pay the hundred pounds it's important though

[5:33]that the correct way of saying the nether vow is mentioned such

[5:39]as it is incumbent upon me for the sake of Allah seven

[5:42]sometimes boredom or lack of activities create a habit of useless surfing

[5:48]and browsing of certain sites it's important to keep busy develop new

[6:45]as the Agra the Abundant and infinite blessings of God Upon Us

[6:52]in this world and the fact that we might leave this world

[6:54]any second and God forbid actually die whilst watching Haram should shake

[6:59]us and wake us up from any Slumber or heedlessness number 10

[7:04]the Quran tells us that we need to acknowledge the specific favors

[7:07]of the almighty subhanahu ta'ala of the eyes ears and the tongue

[7:13]and to be grateful and express thankfulness think about it by watching

[7:19]Haram we're actually doing the opposite what we need to do is

[7:23]find out why we're watching Haram is it because of needs and

[7:29]desires if so this needs to be fulfilled through marriage or for

[7:32]example is it because of boredom if it is we must become

[7:38]busy with useful or Halal activities identify the cause and make a

[7:44]start today don't delay and know that Allah will definitely help 100
