Joan DiTomaso, a 68-year-old woman in Massachusetts, was sentenced to six months probation for assault and battery in a racist attack against City Councilor Maya Jamaleddine in Melrose, Massachusetts. But little to nothing was done about the hate crime nor anything else she said.
