War Crimes Against Innocents in Hussain’s Camp | Sheikh Muhammad Rashid Al-Sadadi

Imam Hussain a.s. set his camp in the most barren land. A land without any plants, no shade, save for some trees and palm trees that were next to the Euphrates. And, he dug not one moat but two, one in front of his caravan and one behind. He set camp in front of a big hill, so that the ladies would be fully protected. However, what happened to the ladies and the children afterward was very horrific. The camp was set on fire after Imam Hussain. Most of the children that died on that journey died at the same hour as Imam Hussain, when the caravan was attacked and set on fire. They ran away, as ordered by Lady Zainab to protect them. They faced a fleet of incoming combatants that attacked them, and they fell and were trampled by all of those heavy horses.
