[0:00]four times that's how many times Washington has vetoed a UN resolution

[0:04]calling for a ceasefire in Gaza but when Russia vetos resolutions on

[0:10]Ukraine it's an attack on Democracy the double standard is staggering let's

[0:14]be clear about what these vetos mean each time the US blocked

[0:18]a ceasefire resolution it was given Israel more time to bomb hospitals

[0:22]schools and refugee camps while un officials humanitarian organizations and even us

[0:30]allies pleaded for an end to the killing Washington made sure it

[0:34]continued and these resolutions weren't radical they weren't calling for sanctions or

[0:39]military intervention they were calling for a pause in bombing civilians and

[0:44]yet the US government under both Democratic and Republican leadership ensured the

[0:50]war raged on the United States has used its veto power at

[0:53]the UN 49 times to Shield Israel from accountability since 1970 just

[0:58]last year it blocked a resolution that would have given Palestine full

[1:03]un membership effectively denying it recognition on the global stage the message

[1:07]is clear Palestinian statehood is not up for discussion Trump recently has

[1:12]openly proposed taking over Gaza and forcing millions of Palestinians into permanent

[1:18]Exile by building refugee camps outside the strip with no right of

[1:22]return the un's top humanitarian investigator has called it what it is

[1:27]ethnic cleansing it's not just political protection let's talk numbers since Israel's

[1:33]war on Gaza began the US approved 26 billion in military aid

[1:40]to Israel that's on top of the 3.8 billion in annual military

[1:44]assistance it already receives under a 10-year agreement meanwhile humanitarian Aid to

[1:51]Palestine is suspended and it gets worse on the same day the

[1:54]US cut funding to almost every humanitarian program the White House gave

[1:59]the green light for the pent G to send 1,800 mk84 bombs

[2:07]2,000lb explosives designed to level entire city blocks to Israel these are

[2:12]the same bombs that killed over 500 civilians in a single strike

[2:16]on Ali Arab Hospital these are the same bombs that turned entire

[2:20]residential neighborhoods into craters the same bombs that killed entire families in

[2:26]their sleep the same bombs that even US military officials say are

[2:30]too too destructive for urban Warfare but that hasn't stopped any of

[2:34]the shipments and this isn't new in May 2021 during a previous

[2:41]Israeli assault on Gaza Biden approved a $735 million sale of precision

[2:48]guided weapons despite Global outcry but here's the real hypocrisy while the

[2:53]US claims to defend democracy and Free Speech it has criminalized descent

[2:56]when it comes to Palestine Trump recently signed an executive order targeting

[3:02]Pro Palestinian protesters branding them as Hamas sympathizers and threatening Mass deportation

[3:08]of international students just last year Pro Palestinian student groups at Colombia

[3:14]Harvard and Stanford were shut down or blacklisted for speaking out and

[3:19]it's not just the US in France Pro Palestinian protests were banned

[3:23]outright while in Australia and the Netherlands Riot police crack down with

[3:29]Force in Germany it's gone even further authorities have raided the homes

[3:34]of activists arrested demonstrators and even blocked Pro Palestinian speakers from entering

[3:41]the country and if that wasn't enough Germany now requires anyone applying

[3:46]for citizenship to affirm Israel's right to exist now imagine being a

[3:51]refugee from Gaza whose family was bombed out of existence and being

[3:55]told you must pledge allegiance to your occupier just to gain citizenship

[3:59]so let's be clear this isn't about democracy this isn't about human

[4:03]rights it's about power Washington and its allies defend these principles when

[4:08]it's convenient but when Israel is the aggressor silence financial aid and

[4:16]more bombs
