[0:05][Music] what is the philosophy of fasting there are many reasons why

[0:18]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has made fasting obligatory upon us during the

[0:23]holy month of ramadan most importantly is to attain taqwa however one

[0:28]of the means of attaining taqwa is by thinking about other people

[0:33]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala does not want me to become a selfish

[0:39]person if i'm just praying for myself i'm just focusing on myself

[0:41]then i am becoming a selfish person allah subhanahu wa ta'ala wants

[0:49]the believer to have a relationship with god but also think of

[0:53]others and have healthy relationships with other people and when we are

[1:01]fasting we have to force ourselves to think of those who do

[1:05]not have when i am going through hunger when i am in

[1:08]need when i feel the pain of the hunger that makes me

[1:12]think of those who are going through hunger every day in their

[1:18]lives alhamdulillah we are privileged we choose to fast during the month

[1:23]of ramadan there are many people who fasting is forced upon them

[1:27]because of malnutrition because of lack of food and lack of resources

[1:33]this is why during the month of ramadan we have to think

[1:35]of the poor the month of ramadan we have to think of

[1:40]those who are in need let us set some money aside set

[1:45]some food aside for those who are in need for those who

[1:47]are suffering and the month of ramadan is the time to think

[1:52]of the poor if you want to make a donation to help

[1:57]someone do it during the month of ramadan if you have family

[2:00]members who are in need help them during the month of ramadan

[2:04]this is the time to think of the poor this is the

[2:08]time to think of those who are in need and this is

[2:09]one of the most beautiful philosophies of fasting where it forces us

[2:14]to think of other people so my dear brothers and sisters if

[2:21]we want to make this month of ramadan a productive month let

[2:23]us think of those who are in need and let us help
