let's say for argument's sake that we were to acknowledge the legitimacy

of the Israeli State despite the genocide in Gaza and we were
[0:10]
to critically assess it against the Democratic standards it and its Western
[0:14]
allies say they uphold the question one would normally ask is Israel
[0:17]
truly a beacon of democracy as portrayed by Western politicians and media
[0:22]
or is it a facade masking Dee rooted inequalities and systemic discrimination
[0:28]
these are not rhetorical questions they are essential for understanding the Stark
[0:35]
realities under Israeli governance a nation that claims to be the only
[0:40]
democracy in West Asia but acts contrary to supposed Democratic principles democracy
[0:47]
presupposes equality under the law for all citizens yet in Israel legal
[0:52]
and social systems institutionalize segregation based on ethnicity
