[0:00][Music] alhamd one of the most dangerous and worst moral spiritual and

[0:43]psychological diseases is the disease of arrogance IM aliam says that the

[0:51]Genesis of human failure and a human downfall are three elements three

[0:59]things three diseases the first one is Al the greed the second

[1:07]one is arrogance and the third one is envy and all these

[1:13]diseases are intertwined and interlined and one of them leads into the

[1:20]other sometimes people become arrogant when they become wealthy once he thinks

[1:29]he's self-sufficient he's wealthy he has has enough money to sustain himself

[1:34]he becomes arrogant sometimes the re the reason of arrogance is his

[1:40]blood his ethnicity his color he thinks because he's white or he's

[1:46]black or he's red or he's Arab or he's East African or

[1:52]he's Indian or he's North American then he should be better than

[1:58]others sometimes uh knowledge El makes a human arrogant though Elm specifically

[2:12]the Divine knowledge the moral knowledge the religious knowledge religious studies they

[2:21]should make the student more humble and more Down to Earth but

[2:26]we see the opposite in many cases when he starts studying he

[2:33]goes to the university he goes to the Seminary and then when

[2:38]he starts learning he feels that now that he learns something in

[2:42]you he knows something in you then he would be better than

[2:46]others then he would not be equal with others all others are

[2:52]lower than him and that causes arrogance and sometimes the reason of

[2:58]arrogance is disbeliever in God disbelievers not all of them but many

[3:08]of them are arrogant now though we think and we assume that

[3:13]the reasons of arrogance are wealth or knowledge or family or power

[3:17]or color or disbelief but sometimes you see some people who are

[3:25]practicing they are religious they practice they pray they fast they go

[3:32]to Islamic lectures they go to Hajj and and Zar and they

[3:38]are arrogant and they practice arrogance and they see themselves better than

[3:43]others and above others why this is happening the prophet peace be

[3:46]upon Him sallallahu alaih wasallam says whoever fights the truth or does

[3:52]not accept the truth whoever rejects the truth and what once you

[4:04]overlook once you bypass the truth you don't accept it then that

[4:10]would lead slowly slowly it would lead into arrance slowly slowly would

[4:18]lead you though you practice religion though you never miss any prayers

[4:24]though you attend all the lectures and the majalis and the religious

[4:28]sessions but deep inside you when you do not accept the truth

[4:36]and Justice and you think you represent the truth and you're always

[4:40]true and everything you do is good and fabulous then that would

[4:47]slowly slowly leads into arrogance and the prophet continues to say you

[5:00]look at people and you assume that no one no one's family

[5:05]and dignity and honor is like yours so your family is better

[5:12]than other families neither their blood is like your blood your blood

[5:19]is Noble because you come from this geographic area because you come

[5:25]from this ethnicity or this race specific race since you are from

[5:31]this specif specific race then automatically and inherently you are above and

[5:37]beyond others do you see where the reason is when you assume

[5:40]that your race or your blood or your family tree your specific

[5:46]race and you sanctify your race and you think it's the best

[5:50]that is the cause for arrogance I'm going to continue on this

[5:56]subject because this disease is very dangerous and this disease not only

[6:00]infects or contaminates or strikes at non-believers but many of the Believers

[6:11]at religious communities Islamic centers and mosques and Islamic cities they are

[6:20]infected with this disease and the month of Ramadan and every month

[6:27]and every week and every day is an opportunity for us to

[6:34]change and to get closer to [Music] God
