[0:05]Muslim ited because foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign a
[2:26]couple of nights ago very briefly I will just summarize that is
[2:34]the last is the first Surah of the last Joseph in the
[2:41]Holy Quran and we started our discussion here about a question that
[2:48]was proposed about what are they asking about an important news but
[2:59]this news they are in dispute about Allah and then Quran says
[3:08]they will find out and then some after some time again they
[3:15]will find out so we briefly mentioned that the interpreters of the
[3:21]Quran here suggest that the ones who are asking of Mecca this
[3:29]is one interpretation of Mecca came to rasool Allah and they're asking
[3:35]about the day of judgment the day of Resurrection that they are
[3:40]having a dispute about how can Allah revive the bodies after they
[3:47]have deteriorated decomposed turned into bones and rather into dust Allah [Music]
[4:02]they will find out then they will find out and so some
[4:08]of them of Australians say that the first they will find out
[4:12]is referring to after death the minute they die they will realize
[4:17]the truth they will see things for what they really are that
[4:22]is the next life after this life refers to as the world
[4:29]of which means the barrier between this world and the Hereafter and
[4:38]then they will find out as referring to the day of judgment
[4:41]Yani they will find out again on the day of judgment that's
[4:46]a different world a different reality that they experience so that is
[4:52]one interpretation of this ayat and then we said that there are
[4:56]some narrations that the Quran Hasan has explicit messages and has implicit
[5:05]hidden messages these hidden messages can only be taught to us through
[5:12]the masum the Mason is the one who teaches us refers to
[5:21]this in Ayah number seven the deeper meaning of the Quran nobody
[5:28]knows it except Allah those who are well versed in the knowledge
[5:36]and according to the Hadith [Music] that they are the ones well
[5:44]versed in the knowledge of the Holy Quran so they can dive
[5:49]deep into the Quran to the levels or to levels we are
[5:56]unable to dive in and so going to this year or another
[6:04]autopsy of this Ayah alone is about there are narrations where he
[6:12]would say food I am the important news about whom people are
[6:21]in dispute and indeed as I mentioned last night the first problem
[6:26]that Muslims faced after rasulullah that's the first dispute that they had
[6:33]they did not have a dispute about Allah know that they have
[6:41]a dispute about their dispute was about the Imam it was the
[6:44]first dispute and hence Imam became a separate of osola Deen a
[6:51]separate root of religion otherwise if you really think about it tawheed
[6:59]foreign but because there was so much dispute about this adale that
[7:10]it became a separate and hence it became a second one and
[7:18]then and Imam as an extension of because all the proofs we
[7:24]use for Imam are the same ones we use so it's just
[7:28]an extension but because there was so much dispute about Imam it
[7:30]became a separate as well and then the last one is mahad
[7:37]or Resurrection so in essence are three but because there was so
[7:42]much dispute about adal and Imam they were added as separate ASL
[7:50]of osolidine or roots of the religion so these ayat may also
[7:54]be referring or I should say are also referring in addition to
[7:58]the day of judgment they also referred to Amir almini in Salaam
[8:01]Allah another wheel of the ayat or some of the Allah they
[8:10]say not even of the ayat is what do they ask about
[8:16]they ask about the important news and that is Imam Ali in
[8:21]this case the ones who are asking and here who is asking
[8:26]the Muslims are asking the sahaba are asking the dispute comes from
[8:33]the sahaba is about whom that they are in dispute because some
[8:40]people say we follow him some people say we don't follow him
[8:44]so there's a dispute and then Allah says they will find out
[8:51]and we said that at the time of death people will see
[8:57]as I mentioned couple nights ago even some Sunni Scholars mentioned this
[9:04]like al-ha of the shirazi in his book he also says that
[9:06]when we die we will be asked the prophet told Imam they
[9:13]will be asked about you will I as well of judgment the
[9:24]status on the day of judgmentation attributed where he tells one of
[9:35]his companions how about you on the day of judgment when your
[9:40]Imam is when we will call every group of people with their
[9:49]Imam to follow their Imam and your Imam is where do you
[9:56]think he will take you then Iman answers to Allah so that
[10:07]is on the day of judgment people will recognize the true status
[10:13]of and we'll talk more about on the 19th night and the
[10:19]20th and the 21st those three four nights that we will designate
[10:23]specifically insha Allah now after this kind of brief recap and I
[10:30]just mentioned this brief recap because I know there were some Menin
[10:35]who were not with us so I just wanted to give them
[10:37]this recap so this way you've caught up with whatever we discussed
[10:40]back couple of nights ago tonight insha Allah very briefly we'll move
[10:46]on to the next ayat of Surat so inshallah Allah gives us
[10:49]besides the designated special nights of Emirates our discussion in the English
[11:00]language will be about Surah insha Allah so the next ayat was
[11:05]starting from number six these are the next so 11 or so
[11:12]I uh they mentioned about 12.
[11:13]12 evidence of perfection or greatness of creation of Allah to indicate
[11:28]that this universe this world has a creator has a maker starts
[11:35]in Ayah number six have we not made Earth Allah uses the
[11:47]word cradle almad we say to the Cradle of the baby mad
[11:53]why because it's nice smooth comfortable for the baby Allah made this
[12:04]Earth comfortable for us to live on it for example Allah did
[12:10]not make the whole of Earth mountains imagine if we had to
[12:15]walk on mountains it would have been really difficult build homes on
[12:21]mountains rather Allah made a lot of the earth flat and by
[12:25]flat I don't mean the Earth is flat huh don't don't please
[12:30]don't confuse this but it's easy for us or easier for us
[12:33]to walk on it okay now these are blessings of Allah you
[12:39]know brothers and sisters when covet hit the restrictions that were imposed
[12:52]upon different communities because of covid made us realize some of the
[12:59]blessings that we used to take for granted for example I don't
[13:02]know about here but in Canada they said don't shake hands anymore
[13:06]people were told don't shake hands now we have a Hadith there
[13:12]are narrations that say one two more meaning for example shake hands
[13:15]before they let go of their hands all their sins will drop
[13:21]just like leaves in the time of fall that's how much and
[13:27]there is when they shake hands of course men with men and
[13:32]women with women that is so there is now at times of
[13:38]read if you remember you know we usually they hug each other
[13:41]is masha'allah you know they have that kind of affinity and love
[13:48]of expression of love so but all that was stopped in addition
[13:51]I don't know about here also Gatherings were prevented you're not allowed
[13:55]to gather anymore yeah and you can only gather you and yourself
[14:02]that's it no one else is allowed so we started missing really
[14:06]such Gatherings like this when we used to come and attend now
[14:09]these gatherings we take them for granted honestly we take them for
[14:16]granted but to come and see Mommy and talk to people afterwards
[14:19]you know have chai together discuss talk remember we are social beings
[14:24]this is important for us that's why they said during the covet
[14:31]era mental health problems were on the rise because of all the
[14:35]social isolation and disconnection and so on and so forth interestingly in
[14:38]this in the province where I come from in Canada The Province
[14:43]where I come from initially they said no contacts among people except
[14:47]people living in one household I mean that's the only contact allowed
[14:53]but then they realize what if people were single they have no
[14:57]household these people have no contact whatsoever so then they made an
[15:01]exception if you're single by yourself then you can go with one
[15:03]person as well because they realize it's really detrimental on it's like
[15:08]solitary confinement solitary confinement in certain countries in the world they said
[15:15]it's illegal it's not allowed anymore to imprison someone in isolation because
[15:20]it's torture so there are certain things that we take for granted
[15:26]as human beings because we see them all the time we don't
[15:32]realize them simple things that we think are simple like shaking hands
[15:36]of people sitting down and meeting with people talking to people having
[15:40]chai you know with people these are blessings and that's why Allah
[15:47]says in one of the ayat of the Quran and if you
[15:50]count the blessings of Allah you will not be able even to
[15:56]perceive them live alone count them you will not be able because
[16:01]these are blessings we don't even think about now when Allah made
[16:05]this Earth in a way that it is inhabited it's a big
[16:11]blessing from Allah but because we've lived with it we've grown up
[16:14]with it we take it for granted so Allah says this Earth
[16:20]that we made it in an inhabitable manner for you people and
[16:23]then subhanallah there are things that Allah puts on this Earth which
[16:31]are in cohesion with one another for example we as humans what
[16:35]do we breathe when we breathe what what do we breathe what
[16:38]what gas do we breathe oxygen what do we exhale carbon dioxide
[16:44]plants on the other hand though what do they breathe they break
[16:50]carbon dioxide what do they exhale for example make the plants breathe
[16:58]nitrogen for example he could have done so that the plants breathe
[17:05]in nitrogen instead of carbon dioxide and they would exhale something else
[17:09]he could have done this but subhanallah Allah created this Earth with
[17:15]this beautiful balance so us as humans or animals in general what
[17:19]we breathe is what the plants exhale and what we exhale is
[17:25]what the plants quote unquote breathe okay and they use for photosynthesis
[17:31]so subhanallah this beautiful architecture of this world it's just amazing and
[17:36]then the Seas and the oceans they play a very important role
[17:42]if you read and study about the atmosphere or sorry about the
[17:45]earth science these seas and oceans have an important role in climate
[17:49]and the weather the tides and the currents amazing subhanallah created this
[17:59]Earth and then to work with this and we made mountains that
[18:10]are like pillars pillars now mountains also play a very important role
[18:16]on Earth first of all Beauty mashallah I see here in Auckland
[18:19]you have a lot of mountains and they're all green mashallah so
[18:23]it's so beautiful very nice to look at but in addition they
[18:29]play a very important role even in the climate and areas I
[18:34]remember in Vancouver Canada called British Columbia and between it and the
[18:41]next province which is Alberta there are a series of mountains called
[18:44]the rocky rocky mountains these Rockies play a very important role and
[18:50]affecting the climate so the current that comes from the Pacific Ocean
[18:55]it comes and if it weren't for these Rockies then this tide
[19:02]would come into Alberta and would tremendously influence the temperatures in Alberta
[19:09]but because of the mountains they kind of are like a natural
[19:13]wall and then sometimes in the year there is some air that
[19:17]is carried because hot air rises cold air thanks as denser because
[19:24]of that change subhanallah that slight change in the air and the
[19:29]weather some of that hot air rises and goes over the mountains
[19:34]and so therefore there is a city in Canada in Alberta called
[19:38]Calgary Calgary in the winter it's called mashallah there I was told
[19:42]these days Auckland is called I told them you guys are joking
[19:45]here you know they say it's 10 degrees say masha'allah come to
[19:48]Canada it's minus 20 minus 30 degrees then we talk about cold
[19:54]all right so uh but Calgary in the winter is cold it
[19:57]gets sometimes minus 20 minus 30 in the middle of the winter
[20:02]middle of the winter sometimes this hot air comes from the Pacific
[20:10]Ocean and travels and crosses the mountain and so Calgary at certain
[20:16]times in the middle of the winter when it's like -20 all
[20:19]of the sudden the temperature rises to the Plus they call them
[20:25]Chinooks Chinooks that's what's it called the phenomena a chinook so for
[20:29]a week approximately or a two-week period they get very nice weather
[20:34]the weather turns to be very beautiful from -1 T minus 30
[20:40]yeah all this beautiful design see mountains subhanallah play a very important
[20:45]role in addition to the other roles of the mountains that Allah
[20:50]has described as pillars so they are playing a very important role
[20:54]in the stabilization of the Earth the overall architecture of Earth so
[21:00]Allah says telling us look at all this architecture that we have
[21:13]done this architecture this beautiful design that we've made do you really
[21:19]think just happened by coincidence can it all just happen just come
[21:29]there must be a designer a Creator a maker so that is
[21:32]a proof this beautiful architecture is a design a proof of a
[21:38]designer a maker second it's a proof that this designer has power
[21:43]and ability third this designer is wise if he has made such
[21:51]a beautiful design there must be a purpose for it says in
[21:55]the Quran we did not create the heavens and the Earth just
[22:00]for people to play in vanity Allah is Allah would not make
[22:09]things out of vanity at the time of el Imam there were
[22:19]a growing more movement or there was a growing movement of what
[22:25]we call today atheists back in those days they used to call
[22:28]them zanadica because there was a book called azand and these people
[22:39]were influenced by that and hence foreign so anyways we call them
[22:50]today atheists back in those days they used to call them zanadipa
[22:54]and that's why some of the translators they don't translate Zendaya as
[23:03]atheists they trans them as dualists because it talks about Duality anyways
[23:11]we don't want to get into that for now but there were
[23:14]a whole bunch of atheists at the time of Imam and you
[23:19]know interestingly brothers and sisters if you look at some of the
[23:22]arguments proposed by The Atheist at the time of Imam you'll find
[23:27]the same arguments presented today you'd think for 1400 years or you
[23:34]know 1200 years people have not changed their arguments they still using
[23:37]the same arguments and the Imam answered them at that time their
[23:42]reputation Medina but his reputation started to become global there are reports
[23:50]where people used to come from India to debate with Imam Assad
[23:58]of India in this particular case Egypt now Egypt is far from
[24:04]Medina but the reputation of Imam made it all the way into
[24:09]Egypt now we're talking 1200 years ago not at the time of
[24:12]internet and YouTube and satellite how did the reputation of the Imam
[24:16]travel all the way to Egypt you can see how much work
[24:20]that the Imam salaam Allah did and one of the holama he
[24:29]started he started he started it but unfortunately he died he has
[24:53]said for several other books his children carried his mission They Carried
[24:58]his mission and then they decided as they were going through it
[25:01]they said instead of just doing Imam from the Cradle to the
[25:08]Grave we will do the Encyclopedia of Imam Assad and that in
[25:17]that encyclopedia they have documented written documents of 4 000 the names
[25:26]of 4 000 students of Imam and we read in the book
[25:30]sometimes had 4 000 students but we did not know their names
[25:35]they actually traced them they started searching and digging and digging until
[25:37]they wrote down documents four thousand individuals who were students of Imam
[25:43]asada that's a lot yeah just to give you a perspective even
[25:48]today today if you go to one of the best professors in
[25:52]the world you know he may have you know 200 students 300
[25:57]students 400 students over the span of his careers maybe if he
[26:02]is you know one of those big gurus and he's got a
[26:06]big lab he might have you know 30 people working under him
[26:11]at one point yeah at most you might have 500 students a
[26:13]thousand really if you're pushing it 4 000 that's big number that's
[26:18]a big number back in those days so the reputation made it
[26:24]all the way to Egypt one of the atheists in Egypt heard
[26:30]about the Imam and decided to travel from Egypt to come to
[26:34]Medina to debate with the Imam now this means he had a
[26:39]lot of confidence you know for him to travel from Egypt all
[26:41]the way to Medina that I was sure of himself so he
[26:46]comes all the way to Medina he asks about Imam they tell
[26:52]him he is gone to Mecca so he goes to Mecca he
[26:58]comes in Masjid Haram and he asks about Imam they tell him
[27:05]he's in the power of he's doing power he goes into the
[27:09]power of and he looks for the Imam maybe from the signs
[27:17]of the Imam salaam Allah he finds him he comes next to
[27:22]the Iman shoulder to shoulder with the Imam and the Imam salaam
[27:26]Allah turns and he looks at him he kind of realize what's
[27:28]going on I've come all the way from Egypt I went to
[27:39]Medina I asked about you they told me you're in metcal I
[27:41]came and I want to discuss with you he tells him what's
[27:52]your name he says my name is Abdul Malik okay what's your
[27:57]Coney what's the title and if the Arabs usually the father of
[28:02]so and so Abdullah he told him okay I have a question
[28:14]for you he said yes he said your name is Abdul Malik
[28:17]and your son's name is Abdullah this Malik Abdul Malik this King
[28:26]you're a servant of the King Abdul Malik is he a king
[28:30]on the earth or a king on a king on the earth
[28:33]or King on the skies he said my parents named me my
[28:39]parents named Abdul Malik and that's I didn't have anything to do
[28:45]but he kept quiet he kept quiet afterwards he just didn't have
[28:49]an answer and then he told him what about your son Abdullah
[28:53]is he a God on the skies or a God on the
[28:56]Earth he didn't have an answer this in the art of debate
[29:07]they say when you try to break your opponent ego you know
[29:13]the opponent comes with an ego you try to break that ego
[29:15]that's an art how do you break it in this case the
[29:19]Imam just asked him about his name okay because he really thought
[29:24]he was someone you know Abdul Malik again to travel all the
[29:27]way from Egypt to come to Medina and Mecca to discuss with
[29:31]Imam the man had ego so when the Imam asked him Abdul
[29:36]Malik who's the king king of the Earth or King of the
[29:38]heavens your son God God of the heavens or God of the
[29:42]earth he didn't have much to say told him just wait for
[29:44]me let me finish my tawaf and then I'll come and discuss
[29:49]with you Imam comes and sits down with him it tells him
[29:55]yeah Abdul Malik he says do you think that Earth has a
[30:03]core yeah I need this Earth it's not just the shell there's
[30:05]if you dig deep inside the earth there is something down the
[30:10]Earth he said maybe he said well have you ever traveled inside
[30:14]Earth he said no I said okay what about the skies did
[30:20]you ever travel outside the atmosphere of the earth to see what's
[30:25]out there he said no he said but I don't think there
[30:30]is anything out there he said you don't think he said think
[30:34]that's an opinion that's not certainty so how can you impose your
[30:43]opinion to be certainty one so he kept quiet he said we
[30:55]are certain you have doubt have you been to the east of
[31:01]this Earth all the way have you really gone East and West
[31:04]he said no he said yeah you have never traveled into the
[31:11]Earth inside you have not traveled outside of Earth you have not
[31:15]even traveled in Earth east and west and now you're coming to
[31:18]tell us that there is no Creator and no maker and no
[31:24]designer what have you seen he says well you know I still
[31:31]don't think that there is anything out there he said yeah Abdel
[31:34]Malik again you're just imposing opinion and doubt enough it's just doubt
[31:47]he looked at him and he said no one has ever spoken
[31:51]to me in such language before the Imam Salam Allah is using
[31:55]logic Imam then turned to him he said Abdul Malik do you
[32:00]see the sun he said yes he said do you see it
[32:04]Rising every morning and then setting in the evening he said yes
[32:07]he said why does it ever choose not to rise how come
[32:18]if the matters were up to the sun itself yeah the sun
[32:22]is deciding I'm gonna rise and I'm gonna set why would it
[32:27]not choose one day not to rise you know I want to
[32:30]take a vacation he said I don't know he said because it
[32:37]does not control itself there is someone who controls it someone who
[32:43]makes it rise and sets and have you seen the perfection today
[32:49]nowadays if you look at the calendar in one year you look
[32:55]every day what time the sun rises and what time the sun
[33:00]sets you can have a calendar these days every day to the
[33:05]minute so that Perfection and every year it does not change I
[33:09]mean for example on April 7th 2022 the sun sets on the
[33:17]same time it will set on April 7 2023 that time does
[33:19]not change in the city itself of course I'm talking about a
[33:21]particular City okay so the time is fixed who designed all this
[33:29]Perfection how could this Perfection come by itself since when have we
[33:35]seen Perfection and design come without a designer so Abdul Malik then
[33:41]said you are right and then he prostrated down and said Allah
[33:53]this atheist who came from Egypt who was so convinced that he
[33:59]was right to the point where he traveled to Medina and to
[34:02]Mecca to discuss with the Imam salaam Allah it took the Imam
[34:07]salaam a few minutes to show him the truth because it's logic
[34:10]you know unless you're all in denial unless really you're in denial
[34:14]so then he says I want to study with you turn to
[34:19]one of his companions when he said take him and teach him
[34:23]and they say he became a good Muslim and then he used
[34:28]to go and teach people this Abdul Malik he started teaching people
[34:34]about the religion alhamdulillah so Allah in these couple of verses when
[34:45]he talks about the beauty of the world the Earth have we
[34:49]not made it like a cradle it's suitable for living and the
[34:56]mountains Allah is using his creation as a sign of his existence
[35:02]for those people who reflect indeed they will learn and they will
[35:08]realize and come to the conclusion that this world does have a
[35:11]Creator does have a designer and this designer when he designed it
[35:14]has a purpose so we need to turn to Him worship Him
[35:20]believe in him and the way he wants not the way we
[35:26]want so that's why he sent us Prophets because while our brain
[35:30]can achieve the understanding of the existence of a deity that we
[35:35]can realize but our brain cannot comprehend how he wants us to
[35:44]worship Him and hence he sent us the prophets to fill that
[35:48]Gap so that's also logic so we believe in these prophets and
[35:51]these prophets must be perfect because if they were sinful God forbid
[35:54]then people would not have much trust in them so again logic
[35:59]dictates that they have to be perfect impeccable muscle mean and so
[36:04]we follow the prophets and then and if it were just this
[36:08]world then why should we be good well there has to be
[36:11]then a Hereafter a resurrection where there will be accountability do you
[36:18]have tax Seasons right now is it tax do you do your
[36:22]taxes at this time of the year just finished yeah masha'allah some
[36:25]people are more afraid of the tax man than Allah unfortunately when
[36:33]you hear I don't know if you see a letter sometimes there
[36:36]is an audit than see the Auditors yeah so because people know
[36:49]that there is an audit a tax audit they usually follow their
[36:53]taxes really well especially those in business those of you who are
[36:56]in business you know mashallah I have to be careful about my
[37:00]taxes because any time the tax man can come and say open
[37:07]the books if there was no accountability then would you have to
[37:12]put in as much effort no people say well why bother there's
[37:17]no accountability anymore so why bother accountability puts checks and balances and
[37:23]therefore the day of Resurrection also is logical because if there was
[37:30]no accountability then why would anyone implement the rules and follow the
[37:35]rules so again the day of judgment is a logical conclusion and
[37:39]therefore that's when I go back to saying couple nights ago in
[37:46]Islam all can be proven through logic and proof and evidence and
[37:52]hence it's a beautiful religion that Allah gave us to increase in
[37:58]our understanding of this beautiful religion and increase in our faith in
[38:02]him and in the prophets especially [Music] and may Allah increase our
[38:13]faith also in the Muslim and make us among their sincere followers
[38:18]and servants insha Allah foreign
