[0:05][Music] it's the time to eat before the fast begins it's a

[0:20]time to charge our body so that we can carry on the

[0:24]fast throughout the day sahur is very important in islam in fact

[0:32]orders the muslims he tells them i would like for you even

[0:37]though it's not obligatory but it is a recommended act where rasool

[0:41]allah tells the muslims i would like for you to have sahur

[0:45]even if that means getting up to have a piece of date

[0:47]or a drink of water now the time of sahara is important

[0:53]not only because it's the time that we get up to eat

[0:55]it is also the time that we get up to speak to

[0:59]allah subhanahu ta'ala it's the time to get up to spiritually charge

[1:05]our souls just as we charge our bodies and when we see

[1:08]the life of rasulallah and the imams of the added bait we

[1:13]see that this is exactly what they would do they would get

[1:15]up for sahur to have a bite but also that would be

[1:19]the time that they would speak with allah subhanahu ta'ala that is

[1:22]the time of munajat that is the time of the whispered prayers

[1:26]that is the time of the midnight prayer salat and we see

[1:31]that the imams of the albeit they would take that opportunity those

[1:36]last hours right before the sun rises before dawn to speak with

[1:45]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala abu hamza mali one of the companions of

[1:49]imam zain al-abidin alaihissalam he says in the last hours of the

[1:58]night he gets up and he begins reciting a beautiful dua and

[2:02]this is a dua that is narrated by abu hamza and that

[2:08]is and i recommend all of you my dear brothers and sisters

[2:11]to try to read this dua try to connect with allah subhanahu

[2:17]wa ta'ala just as it's important to feed your stomach and feed

[2:20]your body it is important to feed the soul and this dua

[2:26]is the perfect food for the soul it teaches you how to

[2:28]speak to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala teaches you how to connect with

[2:34]your lord and these are the words of imam zain al-abidin the

[2:38]adornment of the worshippers he teaches us how to speak with allah

[2:42]subhanahu wa ta'ala now yes the dua may be long if you

[2:47]are unable to recite the full dua read one page of the

[2:49]read 10 minutes 15 minutes of the dua reading a little is

[2:56]better than not reading at all and this is something very important

[2:59]that we should all try to take from this from these holy

[3:04]days and holy nights was [Music]
