[0:18]of Allah be upon you all assalamu alaikum continuing from the blessings

[0:30]of the holy month of Ramadan and the blessings from the sermon

[0:34]of the holy month by the holy prophet welcoming the holy month

[0:40]of Ramadan he states in the remainder Mantella whoever recites Aya a

[0:50]verse in the Holy Quran in the holy month of Ramadan Quran

[0:58]that one who recites one verse from the Holy Quran they receive

[1:04]the thawab of the recitation of the complete recitation of the Holy

[1:10]Quran in any other month in any other time month of Ramadan

[1:15]month of the Quran month of reflection month of recitation month of

[1:29]understanding a month of thinking the Quran the words of Allah which

[1:38]were revealed by the Archangel jibra in to the very heart of

[1:46]our holy prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam Allah 14 centuries ago has

[1:58]remained the same Quran that we have today amongst us today the

[2:05]Arabic form the verses from cover to cover are the words that

[2:15]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala convey to the holy messenger and the Quran

[2:20]which was revealed in Mecca Medina you find its eloquence matches nothing

[2:28]else nothing else can match the style the eloquence the literacy the

[2:38]pattern of the words of the Holy Quran of this book and

[2:43]the Quran which was revealed in Mecca and Medina you find that

[2:48]there is a style the verses that were revealed in Mecca they

[2:53]were a wake-up called to bring them back towards monotheism a wake

[3:02]up to stay away from idol worship a wake-up call of what

[3:10]Allah many of the verses of the Holy Quran remind us of

[3:16]day of judgment the day of Resurrection the day of hisam and

[3:22]they were revealed where in Mecca that many of the verses of

[3:28]the Holy Quran that were making they were theological Concepts bringing mankind

[3:35]back to the understanding and the belief of Allah come back to

[3:42]that belief come back to the true path whereas when you go

[3:48]to the verses that were revealed in the holy city of Medina

[3:51]after they have testified and testify to the testimony you find the

[4:12]verses are different in their style the verses are remind of what

[4:17]Islamic laws the verses regards to fasting were revealed where nothing Medina

[4:24]the verse is regards to for example Hajj the verse is regards

[4:30]to the furor or Deen revealed in Medina not only that verse

[4:41]have a business partner all of these were revealed in in Medina

[4:47]versus regards to contracts marriage contracts Brotherhood the events of Brotherhood took

[4:56]place in in Medina and this you find that the Quran when

[5:02]it was revealed it even gave a challenge because of its eloquence

[5:06]and a miracle that remained the same Miracle of the holy prophet

[5:10]till the very last day our six Imam States and this is

[5:14]something that many of us notice when we recite the Holy Quran

[5:18]it's as if it was revealed to me today it seems so

[5:24]fresh it seems so new it seems it knows everything about my

[5:27]life it gives me all of the guidance and all of that

[5:31]which I'm yearning for the six Imam states that the Quran was

[5:37]not revealed for a specific place or a specific time as Zaman

[5:44]or a makan rather it was revealed for every generation for its

[5:49]Clarity to remain for his eloquence to remain for its truth to

[5:56]remain until the day of judgment the book of Allah shall remain

[6:00]with us amongst us and a source of guidance and you find

[6:07]the Quran when it was revealed to the holy prophet as a

[6:12]message to those people in Mecca it would give a challenge the

[6:18]miracle the margins of the Quran because when they saw the words

[6:22]of the Holy Quran remember their literacy and poetry was the top

[6:26]at that time Arabia was known for its poetry they would have

[6:32]Gatherings and they would challenge one another in grammar in poetry between

[6:38]themselves and give Arabic verses and Arabic verses until when they saw

[6:43]the words of the Holy Quran they were bemused that this can't

[6:50]be words of a Bashar it's something superpower and the Quran would

[6:57]challenge them and States if you were to believe that you have

[7:01]a book similar to this then bring a book like this Quran

[7:06]like this book were they able to come towards that challenge no

[7:13]they failed in that number one challenge the first challenge the Quran

[7:16]said okay we'll make it a bit easier for you all let's

[7:21]see can you bring asha's 10 chapters similar to the 10 chapters

[7:28]that are in the Holy Quran are you able to do so

[7:32]they were unable to do so they failed in that mission the

[7:36]Quran said okay bring one Surah one chapter from yourselves similar to

[7:45]the verses of the Holy Quran and they were unable to do

[7:53]so the Quran as a source of guidance as a source of

[7:58]hidayah the words within it are the true words the primary Islamic

[8:04]source for every single one of us to attain Perfection first and

[8:11]foremost we need to refer to the words and the teachings of

[8:16]the Holy Quran foreign one of the uniqueness of this book look

[8:39]at other scriptures other books even other books of people who write

[8:46]their own biographies or books who have presentations people have their own

[8:52]presentations let's say first edition second edition 10th edition you find the

[8:57]different editions they're all different say sorry there was a typo there

[9:00]was a mistake there was a different Theory there's a different understanding

[9:03]and sometimes when you come up the sum of the scriptures that

[9:07]were revealed previously and you look at the additions that they have

[9:12]people get confused which words are the words of truth which words

[9:18]are the words of understanding which words are me for me guidance

[9:24]for me to gain guidance one say something the others say something

[9:27]completely different one contradicts the other but you find the Holy Quran

[9:35]14 centuries ago till today has never been this has never been

[9:41]changed and shall remain intact as it is till the last day

[9:48]the words of the Holy Quran from to certain us are exactly

[9:51]the same words from the very first day and that's why all

[9:54]Muslims unanimously agree every book of Quran that you have in every

[10:00]home that you have is exactly the same no one says my

[10:02]addition is different to your Edition my words are different to your

[10:07]words my surahs I have a different Surah we all have 114

[10:10]chapters 114 students in the Quran 30 30 parts of the Holy

[10:18]Quran and that's why we need tonight to remind ourselves of the

[10:23]holy prophet statement that he said whoever recites one Holy Quran in

[10:29]the month of Ramadan they received the tawab and of reciting the

[10:36]whole Quran of the Quran in any other month is reminding us

[10:48]of the importance of the book of Allah this month is the

[10:55]month of Quran month of recitation of the Holy Quran but as

[11:00]we recite the Holy Quran let us use these nights some days

[11:07]to re-assess our relationship with the Quran let me think to myself

[11:12]how much have I got a true connection with the Quran how

[11:19]much have I have that love and bond towards the Holy Quran

[11:23]how much do I truly believe that this Quran is a book

[11:28]of guidance for me how many times in the year do I

[11:33]open the Quran do I read the Quran how many times in

[11:35]the year do I have an effort to sit down with my

[11:39]meaning my friends and brothers and say let's have a halaka to

[11:42]a dick let's have a gathering that we have a zikram Allah

[11:47]that we sit down and we ask one another to recite a

[11:51]few pages of the Quran and itself is a great deed that

[11:52]we sit with one another we recite a page of the Quran

[11:58]and itself and say great deed so tonight let's reassess our relationship

[12:02]with the Holy Quran how can I strengthen that bond with the

[12:08]Holy Quran why do I say this because States they remind us

[12:19]they stay Allah on the day of judgment three shall complain Allah

[12:31]number one the Masjid shall complain to Allah that a Masjid was

[12:42]amongst the community here plane not this Masjid inshallah shall complain that

[12:49]I was amongst the community I was amongst the community but they

[12:53]did not come to recite a prayer they didn't come to here

[12:59]of that Masjid to revive that Masjid the master shall complain to

[13:02]Allah a place of ibadan place of worship that's why we are

[13:05]highly recommended that wherever we are if we see a Masjid stop

[13:12]by and go perform a turak Assad Masjid must that place of

[13:23]prayer shall bear witness that you came and performed a prayer and

[13:27]recognition of that place whatever you are there are a number of

[13:31]messages in this area that we've passed whenever you are you have

[13:37]the opportunity to pray Salah go and perform a mustard or if

[13:42]you have your prayers at home we have a narration that a

[13:52]man came to the holy prophet he said I am what I

[13:56]can't see much shall I come towards the Masjid and pray Salah

[14:04]he was jar of the Masjid he was a neighbor close by

[14:09]to the Masjid the holy prophet said place a rope from the

[14:18]Masjid to the home and pulled yourself every day to the Masjid

[14:21]sometimes we have our community members here we tell them I'll give

[14:26]you the Uber lift I'll give you the drive I'll give you

[14:28]the lift I'll take care of your boss cause just come to

[14:32]the Masjid no I have this excuse that excuse that excuse that

[14:35]is not going to be an excuse that on the day of

[14:39]judgment the master shall complained that the Masjid was available for you

[14:42]to revive and have as a community as a place of Abad

[14:49]as a place of recognition taken into existence number one number two

[14:55]the Imam shall complain to Allah the scholars that I was there

[15:05]within the community and they did not come to take the opportunity

[15:11]from that scholar the Quran shall complain to Allah that I was

[15:20]there amongst the community but what happened is all they left in

[15:24]their homes to settle all they allowed to perform is just to

[15:32]settle on the book of Allah and sometimes we think of this

[15:37]when we see this that when was the last time you see

[15:40]it was Shah Ramadan of 2022 and you opened some of the

[15:46]pages it's been Dusty no the Quran we need to reassess our

[15:50]relationship that the month of Ramadan is the month of recitation but

[15:54]for me to start my recitation and continue the recitation throughout the

[16:00]11 months of the calendar number one how can I reaffirm my

[16:07]relationship number one consistent recitation consistent talawa consistent recitation throughout my life

[16:19]throughout my year throughout my months throughout my days throughout my time

[16:25]that what I do is I always have a part of my

[16:31]day that I recite the Holy Quran that's why you find that

[16:41]constantly recite and read verses and pages of the Holy Quran you

[16:50]find they would dedicate a specific time an hour or solve their

[16:56]time recitation of the Quran enlightens your hearts enlightens your homes with

[17:03]citation of the Holy Quran how beautiful it is to wake up

[17:08]in the morning the father is reciting a few pages of the

[17:10]Quran in the afternoon you find the family gather reciting a few

[17:16]pages of the Holy Quran consistent recitation of the Holy Quran and

[17:21]this is one of the rights by the way that a child

[17:25]has upon their parents a child a daughter a son has upon

[17:32]their parents Quran one of the rights that the son a daughter

[17:38]has upon their parents is the parents start to recite for them

[17:45]and teach them the teachings of Thee Holy Quran sit down with

[17:50]them recite a few verses of the Holy Quran recite a few

[17:53]chapters from the Holy Quran if you wish to have some assistance

[17:57]alhamdulillah nowadays we have those pages we have those videos we have

[18:05]those recitations that can help and assist with the recitation of the

[18:09]Holy Quran you find many years ago there was a young boy

[18:12]five-year-old who I was a half of the Holy Quran many of

[18:16]you may remember him said five years old he memorized the Holy

[18:22]Quran and one of the skills the mother said is that throughout

[18:27]the day they would place on the tape recorder he had that

[18:34]recollection of the memorization of the Holy Quran even starts during the

[18:39]time of pregnancy you find mothers who alhamdulillah acquaint themselves with recording

[18:44]the words of the Holy Quran with words of the Muslim has

[18:51]a positive spiritual effect upon that newborn so consistent recitation of the

[18:57]pages of the verses of the Quran is something that we need

[19:01]to have as a habit sometimes when we have a habit in

[19:07]our lives and we miss that habit we feel some guilt we

[19:10]feel some something hurt somehow we feel something annoyed with ourselves same

[19:17]thing if we have a consistent pattern of recitation of the Quran

[19:23]that becomes a habit in our lives then when we have a

[19:26]missing element of the Quran Life we'll feel guilt we feel that

[19:30]actually there's been a few days I've not recited Quran actually it's

[19:35]been a few weeks I've not recited Quran and I will go

[19:39]back to those pages of my recitation so number one consistent recitation

[19:45]number two put an effort towards learning the teachings of the Quran

[19:53]learning and understanding the teachings of the Quran many times we find

[19:58]verses of the Holy Quran have a greater meaning but the meanings

[20:03]are deeper Allah with other states that some of the verses are

[20:07]Markham some of the verses are muttershabe some need further explanation some

[20:14]need for the commentary we should put an effort to sit down

[20:20]with the scholars with the imams of the with the Holy prophets

[20:24]books and teachings and experts commentary on the teachings of the Holy

[20:29]Quran for the holy prophet would say these words of the Holy

[20:36]Quran shall remain as a Fountainhead of your Bounties in your life

[20:40]shall remain as a source of guidance towards the day of judgment

[20:48]shall remain as a path of firm belief for you to enter

[20:51]Jannah use it understand it learn its teachings reflect on its teachings

[20:57]reflect on the words of the Holy Quran put an effort with

[21:02]small surahs in the Holy Quran what does it mean what do

[21:05]I understand from him what can I learn from it what do

[21:09]I gain from it that's number two number three strive but an

[21:15]effort to memorize some verses from the Holy Quran I'm not saying

[21:18]every single one of us is going to become a half of

[21:22]the Quran but sometimes put an effort to memorize a few verses

[21:25]to constantly recite a few verses in itself will help versus for

[21:32]example Ayatul Kursi versus for example the last chapter the last verses

[21:39]of rasool versus for example verses and chapters from the Holy Quran

[21:44]and acquaint yourself with thee Holy Quran that's number three so put

[21:52]an effort to memorize the verses and chapters of the Holy Quran

[21:55]so that you can have that relationship when you read something constantly

[21:59]it will stick in your mind it'll stick within your heart number

[22:05]four teachings of the Holy Quran in our life today the Hadith

[22:12]says there are some who may recite the Quran but at the

[22:25]same time the Quran is why because they are not they are

[22:34]not doing what we say talk the talk walk the walk they

[22:36]recite the Quran but the actions are far far away from the

[22:42]teachings of the Holy Quran the Quran teaches us about is far

[22:49]away from the Quran of respecting our parents you find that the

[22:53]Quran teaches us but that person is far away from their parents

[22:59]the Quran teaches us about monotheism about worshiping Allah you find this

[23:03]person actually performs hero worship and worships others so you find that

[23:09]even during the time of Amir al-mumin there were these kind of

[23:11]people they were reciting Quran eloquently beautifully but they were far away

[23:20]from the true teachings of the Quran let me give an example

[23:23]one day they were walking by a Masjid in kufa and they

[23:31]saw a beautiful recitation by a man in the Quran and he's

[23:42]reciting beautiful recitation of certain verses in the Quran was mesmerized masha'allah

[23:50]what a beautiful recitation say to him wait wait why so just

[24:02]wait wait before you immediately say this person is an amazing person

[24:06]because he's reciting the Quran just wait wait some moment passed the

[24:13]battle of sufin into one side and those who are there to

[24:19]wage a battle against one another Imam Amir al-mumaine do you remember

[24:29]in that night in the Masjid we saw that face of that

[24:34]recitation of the Quran he said yes he said look there look

[24:40]there he saw that same person recitation of Quran had come to

[24:46]wage a war towards some people what did they try to do

[24:49]during the same battle they raised the Quran on despair they raised

[24:56]the Quran on despair that's where with the Quran but if you

[25:01]truly apply the teachings of the Quran no that's parts and parcel

[25:14]of the teachings of the Quran and the Quran is part and

[25:20]parcel with the life and action of Amir al-mumin so if we

[25:25]truly acquaint ourselves with the teachings of the Quran with the constant

[25:29]recitation of the Quran we hope you are not of those who

[25:36]rasulullah shall complain who rasulullah States my Lord foreign I have a

[25:58]complaint my own Nation my own home my own people some of

[26:09]them have abandoned and forsaken the Quran Quran which means literally to

[26:17]read to be of those who reside to perform in its ways

[26:25]of recitation let us not be of those who just kiss the

[26:27]book of Allah some of us do that it's a great deed

[26:31]we should it's a holy book not be of those who only

[26:37]place the Quran on our heads and thus replaced away last not

[26:41]the of those who only have the Quran where hanging on our

[26:47]car near the mirror have you seen some people that have the

[26:50]book it's hanging and you tell them what's this he says it's

[26:54]the book of Allah he said why do you have a hanging

[26:59]there he says for heaven protect me to keep me safe you

[27:01]ask me have you read the book said no but it's going

[27:05]to protect you he said yeah definitely will protect me reminds me

[27:08]of that person who went to one country in Arabia he saw

[27:12]in the taxi there was that book the Quran and it was

[27:17]hanging there and he asked him what's this he said this is

[27:19]the book of Allah why do you have it for heaven he

[27:24]said do you read it he said no not really you don't

[27:26]have time I have time for everything else but for the book

[27:30]of Allah no I don't he said interesting he said what do

[27:33]you think of Assad he said fihi shifa I said it's an

[27:40]amazing remedy a cure a treatment in itself he said if I

[27:43]gave you the best asan in the world New Zealand or Halifax

[27:47]do they have the best Assad yeah the best asan purest asan

[27:54]not mixed like some countries they give you mixed pure asan and

[27:58]I place in the jaw seal it and I place it in

[28:03]a bag carrier back and I give it to you hadiya for

[28:07]you and I tell you every day place it in the cupboard

[28:09]just open the cupboard close the cupboard how much benefit would there

[28:13]be for you so no benefit he said in the same way

[28:19]the book of Allah the Quran for you to have the true

[28:21]benefit from it you need to open the book read the book

[28:28]recite the book understand the book apply the teachings of the book

[28:34]think about the book about the book have of the of the

[28:39]book for it to give you the maximum protection for it to

[28:42]give you the maximum benefit and these are the nights that we

[28:48]will like to recite the Quran read the Quran understand the Quran

[28:52]so that the Quran becomes part and parcel of Our Lives one

[28:57]Hadith inshallah to conclude the holy Imam state from the holy messenger

[29:05]that my young Brothers my young sisters these are the times to

[29:14]recite and acquaint and love recitation of the Quran the Quran shall

[29:25]mix with their blood shall mix with their flesh shall mix with

[29:29]their bones shall mix with their body is and on the day

[29:39]of judgment that Quran shall be a source of protection on the

[29:43]day of judgment yes I entrust upon you to always recite the

[29:51]Quran for it's a source of protection from Hellfire from torment foreign

[30:04]who where the Prophet States this Quran they are the sources of

[30:33]guidance they shall not separate Allah he States we shall never ever

[30:53]go astray we ask Allah to accept our Deeds [Music] foreign [Music]
