[0:48]your historical ethic theological questions quranic questions all of these questions inshallah

[0:57]thousands of questions are coming in and we are trying to answer
[1:03]them but without further ado i know you don't get tired of
[1:06]him because i certainly don't get tired of him thank you very
[1:12]much just before we start uh with the general q a could
[1:16]you please give us because i i know you've been in direct
[1:19]contact with uh sister aya hashem um could you please give us
[1:25]an update on the situation yes today they were transporting the body
[1:35]from blackburn with the ceremony that was held in the zainabia center
[1:42]there our dear brother satan and others who were actively involved and
[1:48]now the body is going to be transported to the south of
[1:53]lebanon and alhamdulillah i spoke with her father he's trying very hard
[1:59]to keep in good spirits in these difficult times trying to maintain
[2:06]his patience and he's a lovely man very honorable person and alhamdulillah
[2:12]i spoke to him and said that the whole community is behind
[2:17]you and people from all different backgrounds and different schools of the
[2:23]religion of islam are all ready to help in absolutely every way
[2:27]possible we should not be affected by fringe elements here and there
[2:31]who try and disturb the peace generally everybody has come together and
[2:37]shown the best of morals as would be expected from those who
[2:40]follow the path of the prophet peace be upon him and his
[2:43]family and i'm pleased to announce that in collaboration with the zahra
[2:47]trust as you know i had served as ambassador of the zahra
[2:54]trust and alhamdulillah they continue to do great work looking after the
[2:57]families of those who maybe poor or orphans or in need alhamdulillah
[3:02]if you go to my instagram page on the official instagram page
[3:09]on my facebook page you'll see that the link is there for
[3:16]all donations towards helping the family and the fathers that especially asada
[3:20]kajaria where you donate towards that where aya's name remains alive even
[3:28]if her body is six feet under the ground that bit of
[3:31]charity that's in her name continues to keep giving so for all
[3:36]those who want to donate and all those who would like to
[3:41]support as i said if you go to my instagram page or
[3:42]you go to the facebook page the official said ahmad akshawani pages
[3:48]then you'll see the link is there inshallah for the zahara trust
[3:53]and then everybody can donate and the options are there to donate
[3:56]towards the family directly to donate towards causes in ayah's name and
[4:03]this is wonderful to see the whole community people of different backgrounds
[4:07]um shia and non-shia are coming together and supporting each other like
[4:13]to say it said go on uh say the ammar official on
[4:17]instagram the link will be there because we all want asada kajarya
[4:21]to be in our names when we die so let's do this
[4:23]for sister aya and her family but saying that right into the
[4:26]q a um this question comes in and it says 70 verse
[4:38]4 says so it says the angels and the spirit are sent
[4:45]to him in a day the measure of which is 50 000
[4:50]years can the said explain to the viewership time dilation particularly between
[4:56]our material world and the word of barzah there are different times
[5:01]which are apportioned in relation to the day of judgment where the
[5:06]judgment and accountability can literally be the length of a salah that
[5:14]you pray or it could be 50 000 yes someone says that
[5:18]in the hadiths of for example the holy prophet peace be upon
[5:20]his family and going towards him you'll find that they say that's
[5:27]a believer his whole judgment may be finished in the time it
[5:31]takes you to finish salah i ask you when you're on top
[5:36]form minhal i'm not saying when you're on one of those days
[5:38]when you're praying like you're driving a ferrari if you want top
[5:44]form how long would it take you to pray three four minutes
[5:49]three four minutes others might say five six minutes someone who's a
[5:53]believer his hisab can finish that quick on the day of judgment
[5:55]someone who is the worst of the disbelievers this hasab can finish
[5:59]that quickly literally over an afternoon others you may find that as
[6:05]we mentioned in our lectures there are stations one place in the
[6:09]quran it talks about the day of judgement 1000 years another place
[6:11]says 50 000 yes there may be for example 50 stations they
[6:16]have to pass if it is the maximum number where you've got
[6:20]the longest day of judgment if you say 50 stations that's a
[6:24]thousand years each okay but for the best of the best and
[6:26]the worst of the worst it should be over in that short
[6:30]time span ascent uh this next question comes in and it says
[6:35]can we donate our organs once we have passed away what is
[6:38]the ruling on this from sister kulthum in nepal depends uh on
[6:43]which of the maharaja you follow you will find for example bless
[6:50]his song allowed organ donation in one's lifetime and after one's death
[6:58]lengthen his life allows organ donation in one's lifetime however after one's
[7:02]death it may be a bit more difficult although the one who
[7:07]might be implementing the world will not have sin on them if
[7:10]it was there written in the world but you find that with
[7:14]him it is more difficult than compared to for example following or
[7:19]indeed who make allowances for organs to be donated after once died
[7:24]during one's lifetime yeah then a person is allowed to donate organs
[7:30]allah is also puts conditions concerning if a muslim life is at
[7:35]stake and so on whether one can take from a non-muslim these
[7:38]can all be found within his rulings this next question says in
[7:58]some schools of islamic law and some non-shia schools they have salah
[8:04]what does mean for example that body is not in front of
[8:11]you but you pray salat and may it for it so for
[8:14]example in najashi when he died in abyssinia there was this opinion
[8:19]that the holy prophet prayed salat and made it for him but
[8:20]najashi died in abyssinia and the holy prophet was in medina we
[8:25]believe that the prophet did read that dua for him not a
[8:29]salat because we believe the body has to be present and so
[8:33]it can be seen in other schools of islam but not in
[8:38]the shia school may be recited now this next question comes in
[8:41]and it says what distance if me and my wife are praying
[8:46]in the same room must there be between us if she's praying
[8:53]for example in front of you five meter let's say even to
[9:02]the sides five meter has to be a distance so if i'm
[9:06]in a room and say my wife is in the room if
[9:10]my wife is just a bitter ahead of me a meter two
[9:13]meters cannot be done has to be a five meter distance distance
[9:18]okay however if when she prays behind me she can be directly
[9:22]behind me like you know if you're leading salaam your wife prays
[9:27]behind you i say that i'm just praying right behind the prophet
[9:30]but if you are praying your wife is for example in another
[9:35]side of the room there has to be a 5 meter gap
[9:37]now this next question comes in this question really touched me when
[9:42]i when i read it it says i would like to be
[9:46]anonymous my question is related to assisted death or euthanasia i am
[9:50]a woman with a disability has no function in my hands legs
[9:53]in addition to breathing on a ventilator from for over a decade
[9:58]i don't have parents i'm divorced but i have two adult kids
[10:02]who have been living with me and taking care of me i
[10:04]fear of losing my cognitive abilities would i be an exception in
[10:10]faith to accept doctors suggesting of assisted death first and foremost we're
[10:16]your family we here are your family so don't worry alhamdulillah that
[10:21]people are able to join us and they're able to benefit insha
[10:25]allah and we're all one family here from imam hussain tv to
[10:29]all of our viewers we are a family and yes sister may
[10:34]allah definitely looks like she's been through a number of trials and
[10:39]a number of tribulations but that would not be sufficient for one
[10:43]to have an assisted or a death similar to that which is
[10:50]known as euthanasia that assisted death or euthanasia is completely prohibited when
[10:57]the quran mentions home and do not kill yourselves this is seen
[11:03]as a method of one killing themselves has written our time and
[11:08]so therefore a person cannot say well you know what i'm going
[11:11]through so many trials sometimes as i mentioned in my lectures that
[11:15]those trials that we go through they may be trials that purify
[11:19]us they may be trials that are test from god as to
[11:24]how much faith we can maintain in the middle of tribulations the
[11:27]same way nabi tribulations with his health likewise we can see tribulations
[11:34]with our health yeah so my dear sister active killing passive active
[11:39]euthanasia passive euthanasia assisted this is not allowed in sheer now this
[11:43]next question comes in and it says my question is if our
[11:48]merger is dead do we have to choose a new one who
[11:51]is alive and if yes how can we choose a new one
[11:56]i read a little of different books of samaraja but don't find
[11:59]the big difference i don't know how to choose and thank you
[12:02]saying amma for your lectures um so what what she's saying to
[12:07]say is basically um if for example i'm following a major i'm
[12:10]bad at i'm following america and um you know suddenly that dies
[12:15]of mine he dies and uh i'm stuck now do i follow
[12:23]a new merger do i can i follow my old marjah but
[12:25]then if something new comes up i have to refer to someone
[12:29]else um so um i i think that's basically basically all she's
[12:33]saying and her name is sister noor from the ivory coast ayatollah
[12:45]used to say on areas you've already implemented you stay on those
[12:52]areas areas you haven't implemented you move on to a new marcher
[12:58]okay previous olama had said no chance fatih his dead fatih is
[13:04]dead that's it the reason you do chuck lead is that you're
[13:06]saying there's a fatigue but the is dead so how does that
[13:07]work fair enough but there's a caveat to that discussion said you
[13:16]can stay on the one you were following all right so allah
[13:22]said that's on the things you've done already you stay and the
[13:24]other things you can go with someone else you have to take
[13:27]the opinion of the who's alive on this issue so if for
[13:37]example someone tells me marcia x said that you can follow a
[13:41]dead martyr but he's dead becomes circular so i can't take his
[13:44]opinion if marjah x said you can follow a dead marcher so
[13:51]your reason for following marjah x is what is because of his
[13:57]opinion yeah and yet you find that maja is dead you cannot
[14:00]take that opinion you have to take the opinion of the marjah
[14:03]who's alive and the most learned so if you take out he
[14:06]says you could stay on the one you're following if you take
[14:09]out as the muslim and if you are as the most learned
[14:13]more than the ones who are previous then you may have to
[14:17]follow out allah okay unless you believe that the ones who are
[14:21]previous are more learned so the major caveat is that you have
[14:25]to take the opinion of the who's alive about following a dead
[14:29]major not following the opinion of a dead merger on whether you
[14:32]could follow a dead margin because that becomes circle uh this one
[14:36]next question says is there any hadith like this had there been
[14:42]a prophet after me it would have been the second caliph there
[14:45]is a huge debate going on between shias and sunnis regarding the
[14:48]hadith currently please provide evidence if possible yes and sony literature can
[14:57]be found okay but that god made his covenant with the prophets
[15:02]and with noah and with the prophets peace be upon him his
[15:06]family he has a covenant and there really is no change in
[15:10]that covenant whatsoever if a person had even dared to even hint
[15:13]that's a prophet people would go crazy but but when it's with
[15:20]others people are okay with such traditions they're not in literature this
[15:24]next question is coming in uh sarah from london she says i'm
[15:28]living in an unhappy marriage as my husband is uh does not
[15:33]like me he's not religious he's not like me he's not religious
[15:36]he doesn't pray nor fast my question is allah states in the
[15:38]quran that a woman is created from the man man's back and
[15:44]it also states how can i have been created from someone's back
[15:53]who's not like me we aren't together but we live in the
[15:56]same house separate rooms for children's sake and we've been like this
[16:01]for five years there's about seven questions and that's one question and
[16:07]there's about seven answers to be given okay allah created us from
[16:16]nafsa there's no such thing as the lady the female is created
[16:19]from the rib of the male okay you know eve is from
[16:23]the river a genderless soul soul for the male soul for the
[16:30]female you find therefore that this idea unfortunately permeated into communities where
[16:39]people were told that you females are the reason for damnation and
[16:45]the reason for all trouble and hence you had some who are
[16:49]unfortunately treated so badly because of people taking hadiths or verses out
[16:56]of context so because people took the story of hawa or the
[17:01]story of eve out of context they started saying because eve tempted
[17:05]adam that means all other punishments for the female or because of
[17:10]eve we completely reject this in the school of dates other schools
[17:12]in islam mind you have their opinion about being created from the
[17:17]rib of um the rib of adam and you know about the
[17:20]female being much lower than the male we in the school of
[17:27]health were very clear as the quran mentions and the partner was
[17:31]created for one another to live with each other in mercy it's
[17:34]a shame when i hear that the sister is saying that maybe
[17:37]her husband's not as religious as her but she interestingly used the
[17:43]khabib that and the verse on um for the khabib and so
[17:46]on and you know she was trying to indicate that does that
[17:50]mean that i'm a habit that why is it if allah allow
[18:05]me if i am a good person if the quran says the
[18:09]khabib is for the habit that means the timer no no no
[18:15]the acts which are acts of khabar come from a habit and
[18:22]the acts which are taiyaba come for me so it won't be
[18:28]surprising that when we see something that is of the tayyip it
[18:32]will come from the born and something that is from the order
[18:38]will come from that doesn't mean that if you are a sinner
[18:44]you can only marry a sinner yeah people took this ayah unfortunately
[18:49]out of context the ayah about the khabib and about the tayyip
[18:57]coming from that which is full of khabib or that which is
[19:03]full of ebay was in the context of the story where the
[19:08]wife of the prophet peace be upon his family al-kapriya was accused
[19:11]of adultery the accusers comes from such a yeah and a word
[19:18]of tribal would come from someone who is a talib not only
[19:26]because there are certain people out there who say well you know
[19:32]what why did allah subhanahu wa allow me to marry someone who's
[19:37]a habit allah married ladies who turned out to be so what
[19:55]you have here is this idea of the habib no idea is
[20:04]that the acts of the [Music] these people who are accusing in
[20:14]the incident of the if you expect that act to come from
[20:19]them and those who say an act or say a word which
[20:21]is tayyip you'll accept that sure when i say what do i
[20:31]mean i mean that i also expected to come from him that's
[20:44]not the interpretation so sister now what do you do you're religious
[20:48]masha'allah masha allah and your husband is not that religious it's a
[20:56]trial be patient with the husband go to hajj together go on
[21:00]ziara together maybe when the both of you first got married maybe
[21:05]both of you weren't that religious so just because you've done a
[21:07]speedy gonzales and gone a bit faster does that mean that you
[21:11]don't wait for the others in the race some are rabbit some
[21:16]may be a turtle true true turtle here some might be for
[21:19]example here some might be small ant people taking steps be patient
[21:26]don't fall into that trap where i'm much more religious than everybody
[21:30]else and my husband can't keep up with me that's it i
[21:32]want to end this allah why have you done this to me
[21:34]you two probably got married and both of you weren't on religion
[21:38]that much you got inspired wait for him to get inspired in
[21:42]sha allah this next question is coming in and i think this
[21:45]is a very very important question today it says uh this is
[21:49]a ques question for dr shawani i am studying to become a
[21:54]registered nurse however my relatives say this job is impermissible for a
[21:59]muslim woman as they say i would have to look look after
[22:03]non-mushrooms what does the mathematics say about women looking after sick men
[22:09]may allah lengthen his life mentions clearly that if for example you're
[22:20]only dealing with that particular area at that moment there's no problem
[22:23]okay and if it's an emergency you're saving someone's life just for
[22:29]that moment of life and death and also you have many when
[22:34]you go to a hospital what do they do they put on
[22:36]gloves while there is that layer between them there's no issue whatsoever
[22:40]okay uh this next question comes in what is our shiite take
[22:49]on the different sciences such as astronomy astrology feng shui are they
[22:53]permissible from some of these sciences used to be in the house
[23:02]okay as in if you told anyone that going into an understanding
[23:05]of the universe an understanding of the planets and the stars was
[23:12]in the house they'd be surprised because most people assume that what's
[23:15]in the house jurisprudence the principles of jurisprudence you may have developments
[23:22]for example in aristotelian logic discussions of history exegesis the world of
[23:30]hadith balar you know syntax and morphology for example but we used
[23:34]to also have scholars who delved into the world of astronomy into
[23:39]the secrets of the universe into the secrets of the plant kingdom
[23:43]into the secrets of that physics into the area of mathematics and
[23:49]geometry and if you can delve into that world you can now
[23:52]when a person says what do we think of these other sciences
[23:56]everything that allows us to explore an understanding of the natural world
[23:58]as well as the metaphysical is something which is revered highly you
[24:04]know um even in the study of philosophy sometimes you know people
[24:09]might say well the study of philosophy is purely a search for
[24:14]wisdom in understanding existence for example um and the nature of existence
[24:21]why i think philosophy can be even more rounded to include our
[24:24]personal life to include an understanding of the philosophy of science and
[24:28]how we use data system mention things like feng shui for example
[24:33]in other areas look even when it comes to their studies concerning
[24:38]names the energy of names the study concerned the energy of colors
[24:42]their study concerning the energy of stones you know very well that
[24:48]we wear a rosa we wear door or we wear for example
[24:51]or we wear sulaimani or we wear for example zomoro all of
[24:55]these different stones that we wear all have a particular energy so
[24:59]the studies of these things while they may not be infallible are
[25:02]still beneficial now this next question comes in and it says it
[25:07]has been said by shia scholars that zakat is paid on certain
[25:11]times such as goats barley and gold coins only however in the
[25:15]western world we do not own ghosts and have gold jewelry instead
[25:17]of gold coins i find it very difficult to understand that those
[25:21]who have lots of gold jewelry would not be paying zakat on
[25:26]it or lots of cards for example already need this issue answered
[25:30]please from the uk you know sometimes i don't understand how muslims
[25:33]think really because when you tell a muslim you don't have to
[25:36]do something they're like no i want to do it when you
[25:40]tell them do it oh do i have to do it well
[25:42]sometimes i don't understand it with all due respect to the one
[25:46]asking the question when you are telling them that zakat is payable
[25:50]on nine items says but i don't own uh weeds and bali
[25:53]and goats okay so chill mama if you don't own them then
[25:58]enjoy i know they may have a point in relation to gold
[26:01]and silver of those nine items and the fukaha have discussed these
[26:05]and i've discussed them in our shows at length in the past
[26:06]which you can refer to on youtube about the applicability of gold
[26:12]or silver and the nine and its relation to zakat laws today
[26:15]but suffice for us to say when a person came to imam
[26:19]yeah he said to imam assad he said look i have a
[26:22]commodity which is not on that list of nine do i place
[26:25]the card on it iman said it's not on that list you
[26:27]don't place that guy you can't just add things and say well
[26:31]i have to someone said i feel guilty you feel guilty zakat
[26:34]is how much 2.5 if you feel so guilty pay 97.5 percent
[26:39]to imam hussain tv today 97.5 percent must have charity and you
[26:46]feel guilty and you want to give you're giving 2.5 percent that's
[26:50]all no that's the way jim the mustahab 97.5 please send to
[26:56]imam tv tonight inshallah in terms of of course jewelry there's applicability
[27:00]on the laws of homs as well um and maybe that is
[27:04]something that can be examined ascension now this next question comes in
[27:08]and it says salaam alaikum question to brother minhard where did he
[27:12]get his haircut that was the director msa he gave it to
[27:13]me um next question salaam alaikum saying i'm from the philippines married
[27:18]to a bahraini arab he is not allowing me to go to
[27:22]work outside of my pro as my profession and even sending money
[27:25]for the maintenance of my family in the philippines we are more
[27:29]than one year married and i obey him so much can i
[27:33]insist my right to go out and work thank you well i
[27:39]think these types of situations aren't situations we can hear just one
[27:42]side we need to hear exactly what's happening why the husband does
[27:48]not necessarily pro someone going out to work in islam of course
[27:51]there is no harm in the wife and the husband both being
[27:55]bred winners unless one knows that for example that the upbring the
[28:01]marital rights may be compromised then becomes an issue more one's religion
[28:06]may be compromised than what they do then it becomes an issue
[28:11]however the lady our respected sister from the philippines she also mentioned
[28:18]about not allowing the money to reach her family or maintenance again
[28:22]i don't know the ins and outs of the story but insha
[28:26]allah when we when we marry from other cultures yeah we have
[28:30]to make sure that we show the rasulallah we should never have
[28:35]a situation where we tell our wife you can't go and visit
[28:36]your family and if you visit your family i'm not mean i'm
[28:39]not helping them and let them suffer this is not yeah at
[28:43]the end of the day in the same way you'd want your
[28:48]family to be respected by your wife likewise if this sister is
[28:51]telling you that i'm in a period of difficulty my family is
[28:54]in a period of difficulty i want to earn to try and
[28:58]help them then allah we can have that that comes between us
[29:00]especially in this holy month of ramadhan i hear these stories sadly
[29:06]sometimes ladies from the philippines and others who sometimes work as servants
[29:09]in middle eastern countries are treated abysmally to the extent some commit
[29:13]suicide to the extent some can't even see the family to the
[29:16]extent some are made to sleep in a cupboard or some aren't
[29:19]even eating the same as their family and that's a far cry
[29:22]from the teachings of the likes of imam or later with gambar
[29:34]for example they always felt that they were part of the family
[29:37]and in this case we have to make sure that whether it's

[31:09]the west and everyone's happy they love us our food our fashion
[31:13]our culture the media is always on our side we've got plenty
[31:18]of english speakers plenty of english books and plenty of places to
[31:23]go and learn in the english language let's be real let's get
[31:28]active be more involved www dot imam hussain free dot tv [Music]
[31:38]suspected brothers and sisters and dearest viewers wherever you may be and
[31:42]inshallah you're all well and thank you so much for joining us
[31:46]back uh a special and a quick shout out to the nhs
[31:48]who have been on the front lines fighting covert 19 and are
[31:53]still fighting covert 19 and we appreciate them very very much but
[31:56]say in there back to the questions this question comes in from
[32:01]brother tom in london he says why does the quran incentivize sex
[32:06]through in the quran and are there for females well i think
[32:13]if you look at the descriptions of heaven and the quran the
[32:17]mention of is always last in the description not first if you
[32:25]want to really incentivize sex and you really want it to be
[32:30]at the forefront of the heavenly abode then you'd mention it right
[32:35]at the beginning of the descriptions of heaven and the quran and
[32:38]it's not like there's a thousand verses on the ferrite maidens or
[32:44]you know the beautiful maidens and the hereafter there's only a couple
[32:50]of verses and as i mentioned in my lectures it can be
[32:53]looked at from a number of angles one angle is that in
[32:59]early islam some of these young muslims were being tortured were being
[33:03]humiliated had to migrate were being killed and everyone aspires one day
[33:11]to get married to the love of their life to someone who's
[33:17]gonna be what they've wanted to grow with their whole life and
[33:22]if you have that feeling that you won't get that sometimes the
[33:26]quran would reply back to those who maybe knew that when they
[33:29]were going to badar or they knew that they were going they
[33:34]were facing intense periods of torture in the meccan period that we
[33:38]promise you that even in the hereafter there is a chance for
[33:41]you to be married if you are not going to get it
[33:45]here don't think that because you're not going to get married here
[33:48]that's that's it on the second level there was a rahab a
[33:51]form of asceticism that had grown in society which was that sex
[33:58]was to be frowned upon or was to be looked down upon
[34:02]and was to be seen in the most negative way and so
[34:07]the quran was replying by saying that no on the contrary in
[34:11]this world you can get married and in the hereafter you can
[34:18]be with a partner as well so you have these thirdly look
[34:22]the reality is that the human being part of their maker part
[34:27]of the faculties of their soul is desire and there are human
[34:33]beings who think about for example physical desires god knows in some
[34:36]cases i guarantee you in some cultures probably every 10 seconds and
[34:40]so in that case it's just making it normal that look in
[34:43]the hereafter one of the rewards is that even these areas which
[34:48]you've abstained from because you know muslim cannot commit sinner adultery and
[34:51]a muslim cannot for example masturbate and a muslim for example is
[34:55]always taught about lowering their gaze you've abstained from these one of
[35:01]thee successes and the rewards is that but if a person even
[35:06]if you ask many muslims when they talk about heaven their conception
[35:09]of heaven isn't really much to do with whether the male gets
[35:12]this or the female gets this yes they can have what they
[35:16]want whatever you want you can well the whole idea was more
[35:18]of a case that you've reached a spiritual level where those are
[35:21]the least of your concerns the amount of love you have for
[35:26]your lord the growth of your wisdom being around family being around
[35:28]the prophetic figures that's what you want the most ah now this
[35:32]question is coming in and it's saying salaam alaikum my name is
[35:37]sarah i am 10 ramadan mubarak my question is i want to
[35:41]wear the hijab but if somebody asks me why i wear it
[35:43]i wouldn't know how to answer how should i answer why i
[35:47]wear the hijab i really hope you can answer my question thank
[35:49]you and we wish you all the success with wearing the hijab
[35:53]sister sarah again you know we had the quarter yesterday or the
[35:59]the message yesterday from a 10 year old and again we have
[36:00]you know such young viewers as well that's amazing seek knowledge from
[36:05]the cradle yeah to the grave and sarah asks a brilliant question
[36:09]that how you know if i'm wearing hijab how do i explain
[36:13]to somebody why i'm wearing this veil i think one of the
[36:19]best answers could be that i heard about a lady called mary
[36:25]and she can be seen in churches but she can also be
[36:33]loved in mosques but i've never seen her except that she's wearing
[36:37]a cloth on her head and if i want to be the
[36:41]best lady like her then if that type of chastity and modesty
[36:48]hold on chastity and modesty maybe those words are a bit strong
[36:52]but if i want to be the best lady like her like
[36:55]mary the mother of jesus then i want to follow her in
[36:58]every way possible i sense again sister sarah all the best with
[37:02]uh wearing the hijab uh this question comes in saying my question
[37:08]is can a woman recite ziyarat ashura or any other zyare while
[37:13]she ha while she's on her menstrual cycle um yeah just there
[37:18]yes yes she can oh isn't an issue a person reciting ziyarah
[37:25]such as while they are in their menstrual cycle okay yeah uh
[37:31]this next question is uh when we recite vicar of allah subhanahu
[37:36]wa ta'ala when we are in bed does it have to be
[37:40]verbally or can we recite it in our minds uh from the
[37:43]uk well it's completely up to you before you go to bed
[37:50]if you're able to recite title courses i want to go to
[38:03]hajj but my father passed away and i have no brothers how
[38:05]can i achieve achieve this thank you so much thank you sister
[38:11]nat may god bless you and may he continue to enlighten us
[38:15]the way he enlightened you we may have been born into it
[38:25]may god bless you and know that all of us are your
[38:28]family and that we're all here for you and anything you ever
[38:31]need you can contact the staff at imam saying to me i'm
[38:33]sure they'll be able to help in anything and for us sister
[38:37]nat let's make this very clear you can go to hajj irrespective
[38:40]of whether your father comes whether your brothers come whether you have
[38:43]a mahram or you don't have a machine the laws of that
[38:48]land may stipulate but in shia law there is no stipulation you
[38:51]go with the people there in the kafila and there is no
[38:55]problem there and things can be worked out in sha allah insha
[38:58]allah please let me know if i haven't prayed namaz all my
[39:05]life and i'm 50 now what can i do i've asked for
[39:07]forgiveness and how can i recite all mine then all the names
[39:12]that i've missed well you would have to begin reciting the cover
[39:18]of those prayers there really is no excuse and it's similar with
[39:26]fasting in the sense that you cannot get somebody while you are
[39:30]alive to do the prayers and the fast for you yes when
[39:35]you die you are able to get somebody after you've died the
[39:39]family can get somebody to pray salat allah or to do the
[39:43]fasts on your behalf but if you're somebody who has missed years
[39:48]of fasting then that would always have to be paid back yes
[39:54]for example if fasting you paid the fidya in relation to what
[40:00]you missed that doesn't mean the qatar is gone the kaabah would
[40:05]have to be done okay and likewise in salah the kaabah would
[40:09]have to be done you'd have to calculate okay when you calculate
[40:14]for example you would calculate that how many years of salah have
[40:21]i missed now someone for example asks i'm not sure how many
[40:24]years of fasting i've missed you ask them a year says definitely
[40:30]a year three years says definitely three years five years says definitely
[40:37]five years six years i'm not sure about six years stick to
[40:39]five that's it we move on with five five times 30 is
[40:44]150 when it comes to salah between five and six you'll go
[40:53]towards for example six years and you have to make up those
[40:56]prayers when you make up those prayers what you would normally recite
[41:00]in salat is that which can be done differently for example in
[41:10]our salah when we pray we say subhanallah alhamdulillah three times once
[41:32]the person can do and it's done so all of these provides
[41:45]us with an understanding that can be done quicker for example then
[41:52]when a person would normally pray reciting everything else but they would
[41:58]have to start making them up now this next question comes in
[42:03]and it says it's a very interesting question it says please let
[42:07]me know why allah subhanahu wa says we in the quran and
[42:14]not i so plural not singular that confuses as to does allah
[42:19]have partners and so sometimes the royals or the queens or the
[42:26]people of majesty when they speak they say we like to thank
[42:29]the nation you're like where's everybody else you're just sitting there alone
[42:32]but it's known as the majestic we a royal we inna someone
[42:43]says hold on inna there's only one god we sent it down
[42:49]but there's only one god muslims say you have to believe in
[42:52]one god monotheism but indeed we the royal will speak even if
[43:23]he is one will speak by saying we members of the royal
[43:28]household okay but sometimes you'll hear we would like to thank you
[43:33]is the queen sitting alone that is for majesty okay royalty is
[43:42]there ever a time allah doesn't speak in the plural normally in
[44:03]the quran there is a moment where allah moves from the plural
[44:08]to the singular where the verse on dua he moves from talking
[44:18]of himself in the plural to the singular to get show us
[44:23]how close we are to him when we're reading dua that's how
[44:29]close he is that he moves [Music] on the beauty of dua
[45:15]is that allah moves from the world of the majestic to the
[45:22]world of one-on-one because that's how much allah loves dua and what's
[45:28]the school of dua in islam any muslim that's watching out there
[45:36]any muslim yeah you will be inspired you'll grow spiritually many muslims
[45:47]always say how can i reach a higher level of spirituality once
[45:52]you read the supplications left behind by the family of the prophet
[45:58]muhammad let me ask you send the cameraman many of you don't
[46:06]see him minha let me ask you what's your favorite supplication now
[46:09]please bear in mind there are 700 million or or nearly a
[46:15]billion muslims who have not heard some of the supplications we're going
[46:18]to mention just now because many of them live in a zone
[46:20]where they were deprived of the knowledge of al muhammad allah they
[46:29]were told to admire people of knowledge who have not left one
[46:36]dua not one dua i know why do i follow the shiite
[46:41]school why why am i a shia for what reason why i'm
[46:47]a shia is for what reason the reason is because i found
[46:54]the gates to the spirituality of the holy prophet peace be upon
[47:00]him were his family they were the gates there were others who
[47:04]were politically you can use them as a gate and the battlefield
[47:06]you can use them as a gate but i haven't got one
[47:10]to heart from them and if i have a draft from them
[47:14]it's three lines long or it's four lines long my younger sister
[47:21]can make a dua three lines long your favorite anyone who's watching
[47:29]the shia non-shia read these duas and then tell me tell me
[47:33]it's not a matter of saying i love and i love and
[47:36]i add no no no no these are the doors to spirituality
[47:39]what's your favorite daughter here we have dua for example hassan what's
[47:45]your favorite dua your favorite is which one you ask many muslims
[47:58]have you read the dua of kumail from imam abraham i guarantee
[48:07]you indonesia egypt both of them how many muslims we going to
[48:10]hundreds of millions have never read dua of imam islam that's why
[48:18]the muslim world spiritually is nowhere why do you think the muslim
[48:22]world had to wait 400 500 years before suddenly they could hold
[48:24]on to a particular path of spirituality after rasulallah died almost give
[48:47]you a glimpse of why we are shia because other schools have
[48:51]felk we have they have theology we have theology they have history
[48:55]we have history they have ethics we have ethics they'll never have
[49:00]our supplications and they always accuse us sir come and look at
[49:07]the purity of the tawheed of the abu hamza of imam al-hussein
[49:12]problem is they held on to others what do you do can
[49:22]you recommend a book that compares the quran with other religions has
[49:37]a book called hunting for the word a hunt for the word
[49:43]of god or hunting for the word of god sami ameri hunting
[49:46]for the word of god or a hunt for the word of
[49:50]god it's a solid text definitely it's one in which the discussions
[49:58]of quran and the previous scriptures definitely you know that that work
[50:01]is one to recommend that's insane uh this next question comes in
[50:07]it says if a non-muslim believes in the oneness of allah can
[50:11]we eat and drink with them like from bahrain yes why not
[50:20]if you've gone you're sitting with a non non-muslim who believes in
[50:24]the oneness of god you sit on a dinner table with them
[50:27]there's no harm eating with them person can sit on the same
[50:31]dinner table people are of two types they are either your brothers
[50:34]in faith or your equals in humanity some muslims in islamic law
[50:42]there are some verdicts that talk of the fact that people who
[50:45]are polytheists who have ascribed partners to god or images to god
[50:50]if they're the ones who are cooking the food you see them
[50:55]with their wet hands cooking the food and preparing it and so
[50:57]on there might be a problem according to certain opinions okay however
[51:02]sitting over a meal with a muslim non-muslim there's no issue there
[51:09]in china this one says my question is what are some of
[51:14]the reasons behind why the worth of a muslim in today's world
[51:16]has decreased to such a level that his worth is less than
[51:20]an animal jazakallahu well this answer is not an answer that you
[51:28]can necessarily summarize in just a couple of minutes on the one
[51:34]hand certain voices of islam have absolutely ruined the religion as in
[51:41]whether we like it or we don't from the you know in
[51:46]the last 30 years of this religion there have been certain voices
[51:52]which have been extremely militant voices which have called for people to
[51:55]be beheaded people to be killed and that means that the worth
[52:00]of the muslim became a worth where people would simply look at
[52:02]a muslim as a radical as a terrorist as a fundamentalist and
[52:06]no muslim can deny even though they try to deny the behaviors
[52:11]of some of the most tyrannical in their history you can't deny
[52:15]the behaviors of those who surrounded us and i love the fact
[52:19]i say this tongue-in-cheek but i love that there are certain tyrants
[52:24]who are muslims in our generation so it taught us what happened
[52:29]in the past was true yeah the idea that when we listened
[52:34]that people were beheaded or people's bodies were mutilated by muslims who
[52:37]believed in allah believed in muhammad rasool allah sometimes people say that
[52:43]this really happened in history did not happen in history when we
[52:47]saw the behaviors of muslims in the last 10 15 years now
[52:50]we know definitely the way muhammad abu bakr was killed we know
[52:56]was true the way rashed and ahmad were killed was definitely true
[52:58]the way imam hussain and his family were killed was definitely true
[53:02]and the generations are still alive today praising the killers secondly the
[53:06]muslim is looked down at because in many cases when there is
[53:14]a lack of a discussion on the spiritual edge of islam then
[53:20]people look at muslims there's nothing more than people who follow indoctrinated
[53:24]dogmatic religion yeah and a religion where you're coerced and if you
[53:29]don't believe in islam you're killed and the apostate is to be
[53:31]beheaded you know what i mean so that meant that a lot
[53:35]of people were looking at muslims and they were like these people
[53:38]are the scum of the earth if you doubt anything in their
[53:42]religion they'll behead you or they'll kill you and if you want
[53:44]to leave their religion they don't realize and by the way this
[53:47]was a current in medieval europe where people were saying that you
[53:51]know what islam is islam is a religion it has no philosophical
[53:55]inquiry you can't see any rationality in its followers and people in
[53:59]europe used to literally mock islam and mock the teachings of the
[54:02]religion we have to begin by doing a couple of things to
[54:10]bring back that light of islam to the fore the first one
[54:12]is we have to closely examine the seerah of rasulallah there are
[54:20]many muslims who don't know the biography of the prophet peace be
[54:22]upon his family and many of them claim to love the prophet
[54:26]peace be upon his family and if you ask them about his
[54:29]life in mecca the 13 years and the 10 years in medina
[54:34]many do not know you ask many muslims about the seerah if
[54:38]i don't know the seerah of my prophet peace be upon his
[54:44]family and secondly gain from the ethical teachings of my prophet peace
[54:47]be on the family my prophet may have died his body may
[54:50]be under the ground but his main message was what raises a
[54:54]muslim in the eyes of the non-muslim the second thing we need
[55:00]to do is closely study the words and the traditions and the
[55:04]biography as much as you want to read about this man believe
[55:15]you me from now till the day of judgement if we kept
[55:21]on narrating his merits will not be enough imam islam has over
[55:24]20 000 a hadith that he's left behind for us including sermons
[55:28]and so on many of us may have read alhamdulillah alhamdulillah 100
[55:34]of them 200 320 000 yeah how many of us have opened
[55:37]up maybe even not even what not even one percent two percent
[55:48]three percent of the words that have been left behind these two
[55:53]the seerah of rasulallah and the words and the sayings and the
[55:56]sermons and the letters of islam are fundamental in the rise of
[56:02]the muslim alongside that the supplications and the spirituality of al muhammad
[56:07]sallallahu alaihi because believe you me there are christians who love reading
[56:11]hymns they love glorifying their lord they love being at the church
[56:14]they love to open up to their lord many of these christians
[56:18]many of the non-muslims who love to open up to god and
[56:22]speak to the divine if they had access to a sahib said
[56:26]judea the world will change but many of the muslims who have
[56:29]a sahih idea haven't opened it therefore when our brother in belgium
[56:36]says muslims are looked at so low now it's because the muslim
[56:40]has neglected the seer of rasulallah or picked only that part of
[56:45]the seerah and not the most important that is neglected the seerah
[56:48]and the hadith and the imam and thirdly the muslim has to
[56:55]be willing to go into more philosophical and rational inquiry we cannot
[56:59]be bogged down by a society that tells us you know what
[57:04]there's no absolute truth be pessimistic about everything no on the contrary
[57:09]we are able to look for truth be enlightened by truth grow
[57:14]spiritually and this comes in us trying to reflect on the physical
[57:20]and the metaphysical when muslims neglected the world of inquiry into the
[57:26]nature of existence the nature of wajud our place in the wajaw
[57:29]the position of the nafs and the rohr and the understanding of
[57:33]the position of the kalb and its diseases that's when the muslim
[57:39]fell the muslim has to return back to the ethos of ekra
[57:44]the ethos of qalam the ethos of tesch the ethos of tedabur
[57:49]and that is where the muslim must return for that muslim to
[57:56]truly be seen as god's representative on earth now this next question
[58:01]comes in from brother hassanian from tanzania he says please share some
[58:05]light on iftar feast inviting other communities who rightfully deserves it isn't
[58:11]this uh um they taught us that sometimes when someone is about
[58:21]to break their fast a mischief comes comes or an asir comes
[58:26]when the miskeen or the yatim or the ashir comes did they
[58:31]ask them show me the identity and that identity as to whether
[58:36]you are a muslim or not i want to see the identity
[58:41]right now i see someone out there who's a fakir and someone
[58:44]who's a mischievous what's the difference between a pacquiao and skin is
[58:48]poor what's my skin [Laughter] come together in a sentence then they
[59:07]have two different definitions that's what i meant if they come alone
[59:13]in a sentence they mean the same thing thing yeah i'm not
[59:17]the second one what does the father always complain about in his
[59:23]50s and 60s no no wait here and always every araki father
[59:28]complains about his back she good [Laughter] is the one whose back
[59:48]has now slipped into a terrible state because of his poverty subhanallah
[59:55]subhanallah misskeen comes from someone whose movement there's been like a second
[60:02]on them they've been like numbed al harake that mesquine comes from
[60:07]that second that is now your haruka you can't even move because
[60:11]of poverty i know when i see there's a fakir and i
[60:15]see there's a mesquite if you come to the same sentence like
[60:20]on the eye of sadaka then there are two different definitions if
[60:24]they come alone then virtually the same and that is for example
[60:28]but i recognize that there is somebody out there you ask him
[60:32]how much do you need a month he says i normally need
[60:36]500 jai hustle he's getting 500 then he's no longer yeah if
[60:39]he is working and gets 500 at the end of the month
[60:43]he's not a if however it's come below then he's counted as
[60:47]being what a year and so for us we should try and
[60:49]look out for the fukara and the massacre in our community but
[60:52]if i see someone who comes and knocks at my door and
[60:55]they're starving i don't want to ask what's your identity i want
[60:57]to try and help them to try and continue that loving spirit
[61:00]of the holy month of ramadan thank you so much for that
[61:05]q a and thank you so much for allowing me to walk
[61:07]into a trap that i always walk into with you uh always
[61:10]happens how would you be saying that we just want to request
[61:15]the viewers to recite a surat al-fatiha for dora uh who passed
[61:20]away may allah bless her soul and uh inshallah we do ask
[61:25]the dear viewers to pray for the family of sister aya hashem
[61:28]and uh go on uh say his facebooks and go on his
[61:34]instagrams to donate towards the sahara trust who will have links for
[61:37]the sadakajaria to be put in her name like you all want
[61:40]to like i want to like to say it wants to we
[61:41]all want assad at the end of our life when we die
[61:44]so we receive blessings from it pray for the people in the
