A final quotation instructs the believers, “Let not the believers take the disbelievers as supporters and helpers and friends instead of the believers. And whoever does that will never be helped by Allah in any way.” (3:28) It is for the benefit of believers that God warns them about not associating themselves with unbelievers, tyrants, and enemies of God and mankind.
