In the sixth lecture of our series about Intercession (Shafa'ah), Sayed Mohammed Baqer Al-Qazwini examines whether dead people can act as intercessors or not. [8:28]brothers and sisters to examine this fundamental issue from the perspective of

[8:33]the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallaahu honor you on

[8:37]can we ask for shafa'a from someone who died and passed away

[8:44]is that shirk as these people claim or this is actually one

[8:47]of the foundations of the religion of Islam that you go to

[8:51]those whom Allah given the power of Shiva even if they've passed

[8:54]away you can still seek the shofar from them one of their

[9:02]primary arguments they say what you do when you go to the

[9:05]grave of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa or one of the imams

[10:20]chiffon of those idols the pagans would worship the idols they wouldn't

[10:25]just ask for shafa they would worship the idols as the Quran

[10:32]states they would put the idols with Allah subhana WA Ta'ala the

[10:35]holy quran is very clear for example allah subhanaw taala states in

[13:15]prophets Allahu Allahu Allah the prophet has been authorized in you own

[13:19]books to intercede on your behalf now if someone pay attention to

[13:25]this argument if someone has the power of Jafar and you accept

[13:29]that and I go to that person and I ask him use

[13:33]your power of Shiva suddenly I become a mush like what kind

[13:35]of logic is this what kind of a fallacy is this if

[13:40]your friend has power and you go to your friend and you

[13:51]believe that honey has the power of healing as the Quran states

[13:53]if you seek that healing from honey you become a mushrik you

[13:57]yourselves are accepting the Prophet has been given Shiva so if I

[16:02]of the Holy Quran clearly makes a statement that the one who

[16:10]dies in the way of Allah is not dead this person is

[16:13]alive receiving their sustenance one verse that Allah subhana WA Ta'ala mentions

[16:19]this is in surah al-e-imran verse 169 Allah states while at Sabina

[16:31]a boon don't consider those who have died in the way of

[16:34]a lot to be dead Allah says don't consider it's a command

[16:38]from God don't consider they are receiving their sustenance from Allah that's

[16:43]one verse another verse is in surah al-baqarah verse 154 Allah says

[18:17]what he calls this chapter the chapter of the dead hearing your

[18:21]footsteps that's the name of the chapter he narrates one hadith from

[18:29]Qatada from Ana's bin Malik the companion of the prophet sallallaahu Ali
