Imam Hussain Refused to Submit to the Tyrant | Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Al-Sadadi

In Mecca, Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) was approached again by many messengers who were telling him, 'We are required to take you during Hajj, at the time when many Muslims are flocking into Mecca, and we need to take you to the Levant where Yazid bin Muawiya is holding his rule.' Even though Muawiya had an arrangement with Imam Hasan that when both Muawiya and Imam Hasan die, the rule would return to Imam Hussain to lead all the Muslims. And they said, word for word, 'Kill al-Hussain even if he is holding the robes of the Kaaba.' So Imam Hussain decided not to desecrate the Kaaba with blood, and he told everybody there that he was leaving to be martyred, so whoever would come with him would be martyred, and whoever would not, he would not be victorious with them.
