[0:06]name of the almighty god the compassionate the merciful the one who

[0:10]has created everything an utmost perfection and may the peace and blessings

[0:16]of the Almighty God be upon his pure and beloved messenger the

[0:22]peak of his creation the symbol of humanity the holy prophet muhammad

[0:25]sallallahu aleyhi wa ala la salli ala muhammad ali muhammad and his

[0:31]immaculate progeny of the elevate peace be upon them allah subhanaw taala

[0:37]states in the holy quran SMIL ar-rahman ar-rahim i'll at rasulu whom

[0:44]a fella who shall confer torah Samaha wat you are not the

[0:48]messenger said to their people is there any doubt about the existence

[0:53]of the almighty god the one who created the universe the heavens

[1:01]and the earth so that Allahu Allah Allahu Allah lien illuminates your

[1:06]hearts and minds with a very loud Salawat la salli ala muhammad

[1:10]ali muhammad as believers and as muslims the pillar of our faith

[1:21]is to believe in the existence of Allah subhana WA Ta'ala the

[1:25]existence of God the existence of a Creator who gave us life

[1:34]however when it comes to rationally establishing the existence of God we

[1:41]find that many of us struggle today one dilemma that we have

[1:44]in many families as that parents who grew up as Muslims who

[1:50]think they really know this religion well they struggle to explain to

[1:54]their children to their teenagers to their youth that the Almighty God

[1:59]exists a yll a while ago a young man a teenager came

[2:04]to me and he was struggling with the idea of God's existence

[2:07]told me saying I'm having serious doubts I want tangible all evidence

[2:14]and proof that God exists how do I really know that God

[2:20]exists religion claims so but I want tangible evidence something that I

[2:24]can be sure a hundred percent that there is a God now

[2:26]when I talk to my parents especially my mom and I told

[2:31]her what's the proof that God exists she tells me look if

[2:36]you don't believe in God he's going to burn you in hell

[2:38]and you're going to end up in hell that's the response that

[2:43]she gives me and that's not convincing for me and this is

[2:46]a dilemma my dear brothers and sisters many of us today if

[2:49]we were asked prove to me that God exists what would you

[2:53]say a lot of us would struggle right and isn't this the

[2:56]core of our religion the belief in the oneness of God the

[3:02]existence of God if someone who now were to ask you if

[3:06]your 15 year old son or daughter your friend someone tells you

[3:09]you believe in God right your whole life is based around the

[3:12]laws of the Almighty God well how can you prove to me

[3:17]beyond any doubt that there is a creator what would you say

[3:19]in our discussion tonight my dear brothers and sisters I want to

[3:27]walk you through some very basic ways but profound ways that demonstrate

[3:31]to us the existence of allah subhanahu wata'ala it's very important for

[3:37]us to know this process to talk to our children about this

[3:41]process because that will solidify our faith while religion is very complex

[3:47]but at its core it's very simple Allah would not burden you

[3:55]to believe in something that's so complex that only 1% of the

[4:00]population you have to be a philosopher or some genius to understand

[4:04]it no religion at its core is extremely simple it's something that

[4:11]a child can understand and can perceive the existence of Allah subhana

[4:16]wa ta'ala is something that if we only open our hearts and

[4:20]rational minds to it is more evident than the Sun so this

[4:26]young man told me saying I want you to prove to me

[4:31]that God exists show me through logical steps I know we talked

[4:35]about the Big Bang and let's say the origin of the universe

[4:40]is the Big Bang this is the most widely accepted theory religion

[4:43]is telling us that God Allah is the one who created the

[4:48]Big Bang and God is the one who has these attributes he

[4:50]has this identity has these qualities how do I know how can

[4:55]you prove to me that he is the one who really caused

[4:58]the Big Bang I want evidence beyond any doubt because for now

[5:04]all I can say is I don't know maybe this God that

[5:08]religion speaks of was there and he created the universe maybe he

[5:12]wasn't maybe he has these qualities that the Quran talks about maybe

[5:17]he doesn't how do I know for sure that God created the

[5:21]universe and God is the one that the Quran talks about how

[5:24]do I know I want evidence and proof let's go through these

[5:31]simple steps my dear brothers and sisters to see very clearly the

[5:35]existence of Allah subhana WA Ta'ala when we look at the world

[5:41]around us we see everything is in motion everything is moving the

[5:49]galaxies are moving the Sun the Stars the moon they're moving allah

[5:54]says in the holy quran and we have created the day and

[5:58]the night the Sun and the moon could look FIFA Nikias barone

[6:06]all of them are gliding in an orbit everything is moving around

[6:10]us in fact every cell in your body is moving and what

[6:17]makes up those cells is moving to every atom there's movement in

[6:20]it every electron is moving when you look at the world around

[6:26]you everything is in motion this very land the earth that you

[6:33]sleep on you walk on you live on is moving and Subhan

[6:34]Allah the Quran makes a reference to this fourteen centuries ago allah

[6:38]subhanaw taala says Alabama ha have you not seen how we've made

[6:43]the earth as a Mahad Mahad has a number of meanings one

[6:49]meaning in Arabic of Mahad is taken from the word man what

[6:52]does mad mean for those of you who know Arabic Matt is

[6:58]the cradle right in the past they would put babies infants in

[7:05]a cradle they would rock the cradle so they maybe would fall

[7:09]asleep now the cradle is moving but does the baby feel its

[7:12]movement it's so peaceful the baby is sleeping it does not even

[7:19]feel the movement Allah says this earth is like that it's moving

[7:22]but you don't feel it you sleep peacefully on it look at

[7:27]these beautiful Quranic references everything is in motion now by the laws

[7:32]of logic when you see all this motion ask yourself the law

[7:38]of logic the law of causality states whenever there is something that's

[7:45]in motion it needs a cause motion is an effect it needs

[7:48]a cause what is it that caused this motion this whole universe

[7:52]starting from the Big Bang is in motion what is it that

[7:58]caused this motion the law of logic says something must have caused

[8:02]it now let's examine the possibilities if you say well the universe

[8:07]itself matter the atoms they themselves caused this movement that's impossible nothing

[8:15]can cause itself you need something in order to cause it an

[8:19]external force nothing has the capability and capacity to cause itself its

[8:27]existence and its movement it needs an outside force to push it

[8:31]to put it into motion so let's come to the Big Bang

[8:38]seconds before the Big Bang the theory is that this whole universe

[8:42]was contained in a very hot dense core then it started to

[8:47]expand at a phenomenal rate seconds before that expansion what is it

[8:54]that caused the universe to expand what is it that gave it

[8:59]that energy what is it that put it into motion one day

[9:03]this universe did not exist then it started to exist what is

[9:08]it that gave it motion what are the possibilities we cannot say

[9:12]it created itself it caused itself we need an external power let's

[9:17]talk about that external power if that external power is subject to

[9:23]time and space its matter then we'll ask the same question what

[9:30]caused it what is it that put it in motion because it

[9:32]also needs something to put it in motion now if you infinitely

[9:38]go into a regressive chain logic says this is impossible you need

[9:42]a starting point in the end you have to start somewhere if

[9:44]there is a paper and you see that there is a sentence

[9:50]passed on it a judge has signed it you go to your

[9:52]local judge and you ask your local judge who signed this he

[9:57]tells you the other judge the federal judge you go to the

[9:59]federal judge and you say well who stamped this another judge and

[10:05]they keep deferring you to some other previous judge for an infinite

[10:09]amount of time is this possible in the end you're gonna say

[10:12]look I don't care all I know is somebody stamped this I

[10:17]have to go back at one judge who stamped this paper you

[10:20]can't go back infinitely there must be a starting point because if

[10:24]you go back infinitely that means there is no paper there is

[10:27]no judgments but I can see it here I can see motion

[10:31]so I know it must have a cause that cause cannot be

[10:34]physical because if it were physical if it was made of matter

[10:40]then it needs another cause to put it into motion so I

[10:42]know by the laws of logic that whatever that causes remember at

[10:47]this point we're not even saying Allah or God we're just speaking

[10:50]logically I don't know what the identity of the Creator is but

[10:55]I know one thing for a fact that creator cannot be physical

[10:58]because if he were physical if he was made up of matter

[11:04]he would need another cause to create it to put it into

[11:09]motion so now I know one thing about this cause because this

[11:13]young man who was asking me tell me about the identity of

[11:18]God how do I really know that this is the God that

[11:20]the Quran talks about this is the creator even if you cannot

[11:27]see fully the attributes of that cause but you know some aspects

[11:31]of it I'll give you a quick example let's say I have

[11:37]a curtain here I have a piece of cloth and I'm holding

[11:40]an object let's say a small car I'm sitting on a table

[11:47]I take this car you're not seeing what's happening but suddenly you

[11:50]see the car in motion it gets pushed to the table and

[11:55]it falls off the table you can't see who pushed it was

[11:59]at my hand was it a robot was it some fierce wind

[12:01]you don't know you really don't know what pushed it but what

[12:07]do you know for a fact somebody pushed that something pushed it

[12:11]I can't say my hand pushed it because you didn't see there's

[12:15]a curtain it's blocking your view maybe it's a robot I don't

[12:18]know but I know something pushed the car the car did not

[12:24]push itself that much I know let's now examine this cause that

[12:30]put this universe into motion we're trying to figure out the identity

[12:34]of that cause so one thing we know about the identity of

[12:37]that cause is that it's not physical it's above time and space

[12:42]because what is time what is time time is the result of

[12:47]motion right and that's why the faster you travel closer to the

[12:54]speed of light time can slow down it can speed up depending

[12:56]on your speed time is the results of motion well if you

[13:01]don't have something that's physical in motion there is no time so

[13:05]whatever that causes I know by the laws of logic it's above

[13:07]time and space because if it were bound by time and space

[13:13]it would have needed another cause now some people will ask you

[13:16]okay then who created God who created that thing it doesn't need

[13:21]to be created it's above time and space it's not in need

[13:25]it's not in motion it doesn't need anything to put it in

[13:28]motion that's what's different about that cause and everything in the universe

[13:31]that cause does not need anything to put it in place it's

[13:37]always there it's above time it's above space that's the first point

[13:41]the first part of the puzzle in discovering the identity of that

[13:47]cause number two whatever that causes did it have power or its

[13:56]weak it has no power if that cause created this vast universe

[14:01]with all the energy that's contained in this universe I better believe

[14:06]that whatever that causes it has power because if it did not

[14:12]have power how did it give so much power to the universe

[14:15]look at the Sun one small star amongst billions and trillions of

[14:22]stars in this universe do you know how much energy the Sun

[14:26]has how much energy does the Sun have one hour of sunlight

[14:31]on earth the energy that it generates is more than all the

[14:36]energy that human beings use an entire year from fossil fuels from

[14:41]electricity all the energy that we use in an entire year is

[14:47]less than one hour of the sun shining on earth that's one

[14:51]little star so whoever created this universe must have power is this

[14:55]something that I logically can accept the young man said yes okay

[15:01]I accept whatever that causes whatever put the universes in motion must

[15:06]have power and look at the world the Quran Subhan Allah the

[15:09]beautiful aspect of the Quran it's so practical in its application the

[15:13]Quran says look at the world around you see these clouds you

[15:18]want to see the power of your Creator look at clouds and

[15:21]how they transport rain how they transport water you know water is

[15:28]really heavy what's the weight of one gallon of water eight pounds

[15:32]if you have a hundred gallons you have 800 pounds can you

[15:36]lift 800 pounds billions of gallons in thunderstorms and rain storms travel

[15:46]the water evaporates it travels and billions of gallons fall to the

[15:51]earth what is the mechanism that the Creator has devised to transport

[15:57]this quantity of water what is it aircraft carriers no they can't

[16:02]even hold that much water what is it some spaceship what is

[16:08]it that carries the heaviness of this water billions and trillions of

[16:13]tons of water what is it that carries it the Quran says

[16:16]look it's the wind my dear brothers and sisters what's the wind

[16:21]what is the wind thin air you can't even see it allah

[16:27]has telling you in the quran see this wind that you can't

[16:29]even see with your own eyes i use it to transport billions

[16:35]of gallons of water can you do that is this not a

[16:38]sign and indication of my power look at this water you can

[16:45]have an aircraft carrier a ship with billions of gallons of whatever

[16:51]it's carrying thousands of tons and the water carries it and nothing

[16:56]even happens to this the small little drop of water which when

[17:01]it gets on your hand it's so fragile it evaporates within seconds

[17:04]Allah says I use this water to carry the ship Allah says

[17:07]in the Holy Quran what a little full come I wash in

[17:10]a fee these are the signs of Allah have you ever studied

[17:13]how the ship sails in the midst of the oceans that's the

[17:15]power of Allah and Subhan Allah look how the water distributes the

[17:19]weight of the ship if you were a diver and you were

[17:24]to go be under and swim under this ship go like one

[17:26]feet below the ship in water do you feel there's something above

[17:31]you nothing what happened to all that weight Allah says these are

[17:35]my signs think about my system you think this is all random

[17:40]you think there's no design here so one thing that we know

[17:43]about the identity of that creator is that the s power the

[17:45]second thing that we know about the one who put the universe

[17:51]into motion as that he has knowledge whatever it is he knows

[17:54]what he's doing because the universe is so delicately balanced whatever made

[17:59]it whatever created it whatever put it in motion knew exactly what

[18:04]he was doing Stephen Hawking who unfortunately died without believing in God

[18:12]despite all the signs that he saw being a physicist and he

[18:15]was a very intelligent person but there are some reasons why people

[18:21]reject the existence of Allah Spano to Allah will examine that briefly

[18:25]in a few minutes he has a beautiful statement he says if

[18:30]the rate of the expansion after the Big Bang seconds after the

[18:36]Big Bang the universe started to expand at a phenomenal rate if

[18:41]that rate of expansion was smaller by one in a hundred thousand

[18:48]million million the universe would have rika elapsed before it could have

[18:55]reached its present size you know how small this number in one

[18:58]part in a hundred thousand million million if you were to put

[19:03]a zero next to every atom in the universe you could not

[19:06]capture this number that's how small this number is zero point zero

[19:13]zero zero put trillions and trillions and trillions of zeroes you can't

[19:20]still get to this number you don't see the signs of an

[19:25]intelligent design here and he says if it expanded any faster then

[19:31]it would have expanded too fast for the planets to form what

[19:35]is it that caused this delicate balance this perfect balance and then

[19:40]the gases that emerged after the Big Bang that created this universe

[19:44]the solar system now at this point I still don't know the

[19:51]identity of that cause that which caused the universe but I know

[19:55]that whatever it is it had intelligence whatever it is it had

[19:59]knowledge amazing knowledge it knew exactly what it was doing if you

[20:04]can develop the nucleus of an atom you have to be intelligent

[20:07]you know exactly what you're doing so the young man as I

[20:11]was telling him this is like okay I don't disagree I told

[20:14]him do you have any doubts about this he says no whatever

[20:18]put the universe in motion is not physical I accept that it's

[20:22]not matter number two it has power amazing power number three I

[20:30]had knowledge okay what does that prove I told him Habibi that

[20:34]thing which is above time and space which is not matter and

[20:37]it has knowledge and it has power we call Allah that's God

[20:43]what do you want more than them that's exactly who God is

[20:46]you can call it whatever you want but that is the essence

[20:51]of what allah subhanaw taala is that's the god that the quran

[20:55]is talking about he's above time and space he's not matter because

[20:59]he would be in need if he were and he would need

[21:03]another cause number two he's got power one of the attributes of

[21:09]Allah is Hedorah power Allah Allah Kunie shayin Qadir and number three

[21:14]Allah has knowledge he's omnipotent omniscient that's what we call God so

[21:20]now you've discovered the identity of who God is now is this

[21:23]something that is based on superstitions myths something that the Quran says

[21:31]that cannot be fair bear verified or logically you can verify this

[21:36]logically you can verify this my dear brothers and sisters and remember

[21:38]at its core it's very simple it's extremely simple at its core

[21:44]yes you can get into very complex discussions but the existence of

[21:52]Allah at its core is extremely simple that's why the Quran says

[21:56]Fla shake is there any doubt about the existence of Allah Spano

[22:50]wa'ta'ala now you be me you may be wondering if the existence

[22:55]of God is so obvious then why do some people reject it

[22:57]right I mean the Sun is very obvious we don't see anybody

[23:03]coming out there and say hey there's no Sun there are three

[23:05]main reasons my dear brothers and sisters why some people reject the

[23:08]existence of God even when it's so obvious number one the existence

[23:17]of God is so clear because it's so clear sometimes people cannot

[23:22]see it I'll give you two quick examples we human beings how

[23:26]do we come to know things we know things through their opposites

[23:32]how do you know what light is when you see darkness if

[23:35]we had one shade one level of light that was persistent would

[23:43]you know what darkness is you wouldn't know what darkness is lights

[23:46]would be always around you there's one shade of light you can't

[23:49]see different shades lights is very clear but you wouldn't know what

[23:53]light is you will be told look you're surrounded by light you

[23:56]like what do you mean I don't know what light is if

[24:00]you had not seen the opposite of light which is darkness or

[24:03]if you were to theoretically ask a fish what is water does

[24:06]a fish know what the water is it doesn't know what the

[24:10]water is unless you take it outside the water then it knows

[24:12]see we come to know things through their opposites now here's the

[24:18]thing Allah is the creator this universe has a creator a designer

[24:21]if we could theoretically see a scenario in which you had a

[24:30]universe without a creator we would clearly see the existence of a

[24:33]Las panettone but even theoretically we can't see a case a scenario

[24:37]of a universe without God because it's impossible to have a universe

[24:41]without God so because it's so clear sometimes you can't see it

[24:48]that's number one number two my dear brothers and sisters is arrogance

[24:53]many atheists know they have a creator but sometimes arrogance takes them

[24:58]away from their creator they want to be free I don't want

[25:02]to believe in a God because if I believe in a God

[25:07]then God has a system for me see the problem with those

[25:12]who believe that were some evolutionary accident we talked about evolution those

[25:15]who believe it's all random there is no intelligent designer in essence

[25:19]you know what they're telling you you're some evolutionary accident there's no

[25:24]purpose behind you being on earth some accidents happened a trillion accidents

[25:29]happened random things got together suddenly there was life it started to

[25:32]evolve there is no higher purpose there is no goal live life

[25:37]however you want they don't want to any limits any limitations my

[25:40]dear brothers and sisters and it's arrogance some of them even with

[25:45]arrogance they will say I once saw one of them with arrogance

[25:50]he said who was this God that I have to be subjected

[25:53]to Subhan Allah you're subjected to the laws of nature day and

[26:01]night can you defy them can you not eat not drink can

[26:03]you not go to the bathroom for one day that's all miserable

[26:06]you are as a human being now you have the arrogance to

[26:10]say who is this God that I have to be subjected to

[26:13]thousands of laws you're subjected to your week at your core but

[26:17]the human being sometimes becomes arrogant that's the second reason why they

[26:21]reject the existence of God the third reason my dear brothers and

[26:24]sisters and this is extremely critical and this is why we hold

[26:30]down so dear to the path of a head of bait peace

[26:35]be upon them many people throughout history committed crimes in the name

[26:41]of religion and these people don't want to be under the influence

[26:50]of those who committed those crimes many people why did Europe steer

[26:55]away from religion look at the history of Europe before you look

[26:58]at the Middle East and some problems there today look at the

[27:01]history of Europe when the Pope was in charge and he acted

[27:06]like a king you know a few years ago when Isis burned

[27:13]that Jordanian pilot the world went upside down these Muslims what is

[27:16]this what is that even though Isis does not represent Islam no

[27:20]respected Muslim body of religious authorities accepts what they're doing yet the

[27:29]world held Islam accountable do you know that centuries ago the Pope

[27:34]in Rome he would have scientists philosophers be burned alive at the

[27:40]stake go read the history and this is something that pushed people

[27:43]from religion because once I believe in God I have to follow

[27:48]that religion once I follow that religion then the Pope is going

[27:49]to dictate his laws or this person is going to dictate their

[27:53]laws or this country or that group and this has caused some

[27:56]people to repel from religion so they reject the existence of God

[28:00]they know deep down in their conscience that they have a creator

[28:04]but they don't want to admit that it's God or Allah or

[28:07]some other name because they are fleeing this negative history of religion

[28:12]and these people will be held accountable by Allah on the day

[28:17]of judgment that's why I'm a more sane artisan I'm rose against

[28:19]his heed to tell the world that he does not represent religion

[28:23]he does not represent faith but if we really logically analyze the

[28:28]existence of Allah it's clearer than the Sun my dear brothers and

[28:34]sisters we should be aware of this process that I shared with

[28:37]you let's talk to our children about it it's very simple at

[28:40]its core but it gives you evidence beyond any doubt logical evidence

[28:47]that allah subhana wa ta'ala does exist i like to love whom

[28:51]little solo home a fella he shot couldn't fart on a Samaha

[28:54]or not the messenger said to their people is there any doubt

[29:02]about God who created the heavens and the earth we ask Allah

[29:06]subhana WA Ta'ala to fill our hearts with his presence in this

[29:10]holy month of ramadan o allah o allah sayidina muhammadin wa ala

[29:16]nabina
