[0:03][Music] [Music] [Music] allahar [Music] [Music] as [Music] [Music] Sal [Music] allahar
[2:00]Akbar [Music] Sal alhamdulillah alhamd muham I respected brothers and sisters this
[4:08]is the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan and before
[4:15]we know it this month will be behind us and we ask
[4:23]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to accept our deeds and accept our worship
[4:29]and oural especially since that the nights of power have also passed
[4:37]and this brings us to a question as we approach the end
[4:45]of a worship cycle and that is has Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
[4:50]accepted my Deeds has Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala accepted what I have done
[4:57]and this is a very important question for a person to ask
[5:01]because at the end of the day we are doing what we
[5:07]do for Allah subh to accept not for us we're doing it
[5:13]so Allah subhana taala accepts it and if our or acts of
[5:17]worship is done for anything else if there's any other intention then
[5:21]there's a problem so we have to put our goal being that
[5:30]Allah subhah wa ta'ala accepts our worship when it comes to Allah
[5:34]subhah wa ta'ala we know that God is generous and Allah subhah
[5:38]wa ta'ala answers prayers and Allah accepts our Allah says in the
[5:44]Quran and your Lord says call upon me and I shall answer
[5:52]you and in another verse Allah says in the Quran it is
[6:00]God who accepts the Toba the repentance from his servants and when
[6:08]you give you put it in the hands of a poor person
[6:10]it is actually Allah subhah wa tala who's accepting it and he
[6:17]is the the all forgiving and the all merciful so Allah subhana
[6:25]tala from his side accepts our duas and our worship and everything
[6:30]we have done however there are conditions there are conditions for the
[6:37]to be accepted there are conditions for Dua to be accepted there
[6:41]are conditions for our Deeds everything that we do it has to
[6:47]be done in a particular way the same way for example if
[6:50]you're applying for a job if you're applying for a university the
[6:53]university says we will accept students however they need to come with
[7:00]such and such conditions they need to fulfill some requirements once they
[7:05]fulfill these requirements then we will accept them you can't just go
[7:10]up to uh the you know the administrator and say I have
[7:13]all the requirements accept me they'll tell they'll tell a person you
[7:20]need to do things in a particular manner so what are the
[7:22]conditions of our our Deeds to be accepted there are there's a
[7:33]list of several conditions that need to be met for our and
[7:37]our Deeds to be accepted the first is that our Deeds need
[7:43]to be done with a pure intention for Allah subhana tala who
[7:46]am I doing what I'm doing for I came here Gathering here
[7:53]attending Sal who am I doing this for am I doing this
[7:55]for people to see me am I this for recognition for fame
[8:00]or am I doing it purely for Allah subhah wa ta'ala the
[8:05]first condition for our to be accepted is that it needs to
[8:10]be for Allah and Allah says in the Quran we need to
[8:20]have means we are sincere in our intentions that whatever we do
[8:27]we are doing it for Allah subhah wa ta'ala and the of
[8:32]he says your Deeds your actions whatever you have done it is
[8:44]measured by the Nia that's in your heart and of course the
[8:47]only one that is able to read our minds and see our
[8:53]Nia that is Allah subhah waala in another he says [Music] he
[9:13]says there are two people from my um they do the same
[9:19]prayers the same fasting the same suud the same Ru everything is
[9:24]the same however between them when Allah subhana wa tala accepts it's
[9:28]as if it is between the heavens and the Earth one of
[9:32]them it is fully accepted and the other their actions are not
[9:36]accepted why because the one who is not doing it purely for
[9:45]Allah subhah wa ta'ala that will not be accepted and he says
[9:53]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will accept that which you do with pure
[10:02]and genuine sincerity for Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala so this is the
[10:07]first condition that the intention must be purely for Allah and this
[10:10]is why we need to always remind ourselves in the beginning of
[10:13]Every Act of we begin with the Nia why do we begin
[10:18]with the Nia because we have to remind ourselves that what I'm
[10:24]doing is for Allah subana tala Allah Allah subhana wa tala tells
[10:29]us that that we have to have our our and our Deeds
[10:35]be purely for Allah subhana wa tala second condition is tawa Allah
[10:46]subhana TAA says in the Quran is doing it purely for God
[10:57]but tawa is trying to seek nearness to Allah subhana wa tala
[11:04]because God is watching me because of love because of affection for
[11:07]Allah maybe someone is doing something for God but they're doing it
[11:11]they're not really excited about it they're not really happy about it
[11:14]ta is putting your heart and your passion and your dedication in
[11:22]that which you doing and the of tells him he tells tells
[11:36]he says when you're doing something try to focus on the tawa
[11:41]aspect meaning that I'm trying to truly do this for the sake
[11:47]of Allah subhah wa ta'ala and nearness to God focus on that
[11:50]Dimension more than you're focusing on the actual act that you're doing
[11:57]meaning let the Allah subhana tala looks at what's inside side Allah
[12:01]looks at the heart try to make sure that what you're doing
[12:03]is bringing you closer to Allah because Allah will not accept Deeds
[12:12]without ta without that sense of act and worship for Allah subhah
[12:19]wa ta'ala and Allah subhana wa tala says in Allah accepts from
[12:29]those who have ta meaning that what they do is for Allah
[12:33]subhana tala and trying to seek the satisfaction and pleasure of Allah
[12:38]subhanahu wa ta'ala so this is the second we said the first
[12:44]was the intention second is the tawa third requirement for Deeds to
[12:52]be accepted is that this this deed that I'm doing must be
[12:56]legislated by the Quran or Al can I come and for example
[13:03]say I want to pray a a prayer that is not done
[13:07]by the prophet something that I just come and make up and
[13:11]I say I'm seeking nearness to Allah by doing this act no
[13:15]this is considered B this is considered Innovation and we need to
[13:22]try to do that which Allah subhah wa ta'ala has ordered us
[13:26]to do Allah subhah wa ta'ala tells us worship me the way
[13:35]I want to be worshiped not the way you want to worship
[13:38]some of us we worship God based on our own desires we
[13:43]do things the way we want to do it and this is
[13:47]how Innovations begin in religion this is how people deviate this is
[13:50]how people start making up their own religions and their own sects
[13:54]and their own acts that are not legislated by and not legislated
[13:58]by the Quran or the IMs of the Allah subhana says in
[14:03]a verse in the Quran meaning the Good Deeds that I do
[14:18]we have to try to seek the we have to try to
[14:22]seek the satisfaction of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and you see in
[14:28]religion it's very easy to come and start an innovation it's very
[14:32]easy to come and start a b right now for example during
[14:38]the holy month of Ramadan the followers of the we do not
[14:42]pray prayers why do we not pray prayers we do not pray
[14:49]prayers because the prophet never prayed Twi prayers because the imams of
[14:53]the AL never prayed prayers Abu Bakr never prayed prayers it started
[14:56]during the time of the second khif Omar he came and he
[15:02]saw people gathering in the Masjid each one is praying their NAA
[15:04]their recommended prayers on their own and he came and he gathered
[15:11]them together and he told them why don't you all pray together
[15:14]and pray Jama now it looks nice a lot of people they
[15:18]come and they tell me it's nice you know we read the
[15:19]whole Quran we're praying together it's nice but if the prophet did
[15:25]not legislate it if it's not legislated in the Quran if it's
[15:28]not legislated in Islam we can't come and start something on our
[15:31]own and because we have a clear Hadith that comes and says
[15:39]you cannot pray a recommended prayer in this is according to that's
[15:46]accepted so because the prophet said that it was very clear that
[15:51]you cannot pray the recommended prayers in and the prophet did not
[16:00]do such thing and even those who came after him even when
[16:02]he came after he told people not to do that but they
[16:07]said no we want to follow the Sunnah of and this is
[16:14]um this is considered to be an act of an act of
[16:18]innovation and even he himself when he put them together and he
[16:21]saw them praying he says this is a good Innovation so there's
[16:27]no such a thing as a good good or bad Innovation an
[16:30]innovation is an innovation and one of the Deeds one of the
[16:37]conditions for our to be accepted we said the ni the intention
[16:41]second ta and third that the ACT must be legislated by God
[16:49]and His Prophet another condition when it comes to when it comes
[16:54]to our Deeds to be accepted is that we need to acknowledge
[16:57]the priority of the actions some obligations they come ahead of other
[17:05]obligations now waj is waj you have to do all the waj
[17:11]but common sense and our religion tells us that sometimes there are
[17:18]things that are more important for example if someone is drowning and
[17:22]it's prayer time what do I have to do first I have
[17:26]to go and save the person that's drowning this becomes waj this
[17:30]is this is this is prioritized or for example I want I
[17:34]have some charity and I want to help someone out I either
[17:40]help out someone who's far a stranger or I have a relative
[17:47]I have a family member that is in need of support here
[17:50]it is my religious obligation to help out the near kin before
[17:55]I help out those who are further away and theith of he
[18:00]says there's no when you have a relative that is in need
[18:07]and this is this brings us to a um you know issue
[18:10]that's going to come up on the day of everyone has to
[18:18]pay Zak and the zakat is about 3 kilograms of food what
[18:22]right now they're they're saying it's worth around between $10 to $15
[18:26]based on the the the standard of living right now and the
[18:32]cost they're saying around $15 right now so per per each person
[18:35]in the house the head of the household has to give for
[18:38]example I have five people in my house I have to give
[18:40]for five people I give $15 each to those who are in
[18:47]need to the poor and those who are in need and here
[18:51]if I have relatives if I have family members who are in
[18:54]need I have to go and give them first before I go
[18:57]and help out someone who is further away so this is acknowledging
[19:03]the priority of the actions there are some of the that have
[19:07]higher weight for example Salah Salah comes above everything else I if
[19:14]I want to seek nearness to Allah subhana wa ta'ala prayer comes
[19:18]first and then go and do other things now I know some
[19:23]people they come and they say for example in the month of
[19:25]Ramadan I fast but I don't pray so I don't tell the
[19:30]person don't fast because you're not praying but I tell this person
[19:33]you have to pray as well because Salah according to theah is
[19:41]the pillar of the faith if it is accepted everything else is
[19:48]accepted but if it is not accepted then it is going to
[19:51]be very difficult to get everything else accept it but I don't
[19:56]tell the person don't fast because maybe through the act of fasting
[20:00]maybe you could find your way towards Salah and that's the whole
[20:03]purpose of um the holy month of Ramadan but if you see
[20:08]that some are contradicting one another it's either this or that then
[20:12]you have to see which one is prioritized which one common sense
[20:16]which one your religion tells you comes first so this is um
[20:21]one of the conditions of being accepted another condition is that the
[20:27]and the Deeds need to be done on time if Allah subhana
[20:33]wa ta'ala tells me I have to pray at this particular time
[20:38]I have to fast during the month of Ramadan I have to
[20:40]go to Hajj during the season of Hajj I have to do
[20:44]such things at a particular time I need to acknowledge that and
[20:48]I need to focus on trying to seek the satisfaction of Allah
[20:54]subhah taala and doing that which Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala wants so
[21:00]being quick to do a good deed this is one of the
[21:02]reasons why Allah subhana tala accept the Deeds there's probably everyone does
[21:07]the good deed but you could tell who has genuine sincerity and
[21:12]faith and love and passion for Allah subhana wa ta'ala through how
[21:17]quick they are going to do that which Allah subhana wa tala
[21:23]asks them to do it and this is you see for example
[21:25]two students one does it immediately when it's asked another one is
[21:29]always turning in late assignments the teacher at the end of the
[21:34]year is going to tell this one is careless and this one
[21:38]actually cares so here Allah subhana T describes our in the same
[21:50]way Allah talks about the family of zakar when they want to
[22:00]do when they want to do good they are quick to do
[22:02]it meaning they don't they don't hesitate they don't drag their feet
[22:07]when there's something good that is to be done they make the
[22:10]decision and they do it right away another condition for Deeds to
[22:16]be accepted is consistency we have to be consistent in our actions
[22:21]we have to be consistent in our intentions for example right now
[22:25]during the month of Ramadan we started doing certain things maybe you
[22:33]you picked up a good habit try to continue that if you
[22:36]want to know whether Allah subhah wa ta'ala truly blessed you during
[22:40]this month of Ramadan ask yourself and see if you are going
[22:45]to be able to continue that good that you began during the
[22:48]month of Ramadan if you stopped something during the month of Ramadan
[22:52]stopping something that is Haram something that is wrong if you want
[22:59]to know whether Allah accept that Toba and that act see how
[23:05]long you could refrain from doing that thing so consistency is very
[23:10]important and Islam is all about developing good habits this is why
[23:15]we pray five times a day instead of once a week someone
[23:19]might say why can't we just go to a Masjid or or
[23:24]just pray once a week well when we pray Allah subhana tala
[23:26]says develop a habit make it be consistent and we fast for
[23:32]30 days instead of for example just one day because when we're
[23:35]fasting for 30 days we're training our body we're training our soul
[23:40]our spirits to develop good habits and this is something that is
[23:45]very important for our spiritual well-being another condition and requirement for Deeds
[23:53]to be met and deeds to be accepted by Allah subhana wa
[23:56]ta'ala is to be thorough and to do a good job in
[24:01]it when I get up and pray let me make sure that
[24:06]I pray correctly when I get up and do wo let me
[24:09]make sure that I'm doing the woo correctly there are some people
[24:11]you see that even in their woo and their prayer and their
[24:14]actions they're just trying to get things done they're not focusing on
[24:21]it they're not putting effort in it and this is a sign
[24:24]of sincerity this is a sign of positive intentions when we actually
[24:27]put effort in what we're doing and in Islam we're encouraged to
[24:32]put efforts in everything that we're doing if you're doing something do
[24:36]it correctly don't waste your time and don't waste the time of
[24:40]other people put 100% effort in whatever you're doing you will be
[24:44]appreciated by people and you will be appreciated by Allah subhah wa
[24:47]tala in a from he says Allah loves the one who does
[24:59]anything even if it's job has nothing to do with Islam you're
[25:05]you're doing your your job at work do a complete job people
[25:08]will appreciate you people will accept that from you his son ibim
[25:15]died when he was ibraim was 18 months old and the prophet
[25:21]was heartbroken and he was grieving he was burying his son after
[25:25]he buried his son Allah he came and he was fixing the
[25:27]grave with his hand he was coming and he was fixing the
[25:33]the the soil on the grave so some of the Muslims they
[25:39]tell they tell what are you doing he reminded them of this
[25:47]he says he says when anyone of you does anything do a
[25:52]good job in it even if it's something such as simple as
[25:56]fixing a grave he made that he prioritized what he is doing
[26:01]and he does a good job in it even something as difficult
[26:05]as that so this is something that is very important we have
[26:09]to be thorough we have to do our and everything else we
[26:15]have to do it good for example some people during they're reading
[26:19]the for example and they start skipping they start jumping around here
[26:23]and there and they don't say if you're going to do it
[26:28]do it correctly so that Allah subhah wa ta'ala will accept that
[26:32]which you are doing and from one of the most important conditions
[26:38]for our Deeds to be met for those who are coming later
[26:41]we mentioned you need to have good intention it needs to havea
[26:46]you need to acknowledge uh the the priority of action the deed
[26:50]must be legislated by the Quran and by alai needs to be
[26:55]done on time you need to be consistent you need to be
[26:59]thorough and from the conditions of a deed to be accepted is
[27:03]that we need to be understanding of the and the impact of
[27:09]the on our life if I don't understand my prayer if I
[27:15]don't understand and I don't use my to focus on what is
[27:18]the philosophy behind fasting what's the philosophy behind giving sodak what's the
[27:22]philosophy and what's the understanding of coming to the Masjid and attending
[27:27]Friday prayer and doing all of these acts of and it doesn't
[27:30]really change me then I'm not going to be someone who benefits
[27:36]from it at the end of the day worship is not the
[27:37]goal the goal is God worship is the vehicle that brings us
[27:42]to God and if I don't understand that if I don't comprehend
[27:46]that then I will never reach God I will never reach my
[27:52]goal because there are people they read Quran but they don't understand
[27:55]what they're reading and Allah subhana wa tala says in the Quran
[28:01]there are some people that pray probably the whole night they're praying
[28:06]but all they're getting out of their prayer is exercise up and
[28:12]down it's good good you know muscle movement nothing else other than
[28:17]that other people he says this he says some people from fasting
[28:20]all that they get out of it is hunger and thirst nothing
[28:26]else comes out of it because the is not there the the
[28:28]heart is not in there and this is probably one of the
[28:35]most important conditions in addition TOA and sincerity and doing it for
[28:39]God is that we need to understand and when we understand and
[28:42]when we use our then we will know the value of a
[28:48]lot of people sometimes they pray but they don't they don't really
[28:51]feel connected with the prayer they don't really feel connected with the
[28:57]Dua one of the reasons is because we don't understand then we
[29:00]don't know the value if you have a rock in your hand
[29:05]and this rock is a diamond but you don't understand the value
[29:08]of the diamond you're going to treat it just like any other
[29:10]normal Rock and you're going to be tossing it around but when
[29:14]you know the value of it then you will appreciate it more
[29:17]when we use our we know the value of our we know
[29:22]the value of our deeds and then that will bring us closer
[29:26]to Allah subhanahu waala he says he says from the the one
[29:39]who uses their intellect even if it's very small deed Allah subhah
[29:42]wa tala will accept it and Allah will multiply the reward from
[29:46]the one who knows the value of that prayer someone who knows
[29:51]the value of their deeds and then the says and you do
[30:03]a lot of Deeds but you don't have any understanding your brain
[30:06]your is not in there you don't you don't comprehend what you're
[30:10]doing that is going to be rejected so focus on quality we
[30:17]ask Allah subhah wa ta'ala to bless us all and to accept
[30:20]from us during this holy month of Ramadan all of our Deeds
[30:56]alhamdulillah sh muham Ali ja Muhammad ja Ali Muhammad Ali Ali Muhammad
[32:45]my dear brothers and sisters as the month of Ramadan is coming
[32:52]to an end and today being the final and the last Friday
[32:56]of this holy month as we expect the day ofid to be
[33:04]on Wednesday inshallah and inshallah perhaps this year we might all have
[33:10]oneid so uh the chances of that are high but we still
[33:13]wait until um the announcement the day before so inshallah we ask
[33:22]Allah subhah wa taala to bless your deeds and to bless your
[33:25]worship and bless your as we are coming to the end of
[33:30]the holy month of Ramadan there are certain things that we have
[33:34]to reflect on one of them is that in the end of
[33:39]the month of Ramadan we focus on others who are in need
[33:42]and this is why Allah subhana wa ta'ala has made zakat W
[33:49]upon all Muslims we have to give zakat on the day of
[33:51]every Muslim every head of household is it's obligatory upon them to
[33:58]give zakat and we mentioned that they have estimated it to be
[34:02]around $15 per head in the family so this is zakat that
[34:06]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells us you have fasted this whole month
[34:12]now give to the poor now give to those who are in
[34:14]need now think of those who are suffering think of those who
[34:21]are who not fortunate enough to have the meals that we had
[34:25]during the month of Ramadan my dear brothers and sisters we as
[34:29]much as we thank Allah subhah wa ta'ala it is not enough
[34:33]for all of the blessings that Allah subhana wa ta'ala has given
[34:36]us every day alhamdulillah we don't find anyone here around us that
[34:41]does not have a meal on the table we go through a
[34:45]few hours of hunger and then we eat the best food alhamdulillah
[34:49]We Gather with our friends with our loved ones this is the
[34:53]time to also think of the Muslims who are suffering and as
[34:58]we we speak right now there's a famine going on in gazah
[35:03]there is a hunger where people are being starved to death they're
[35:10]literally being starved to death it's not only the bombs and not
[35:13]the missiles but in addition to that they're being starved to death
[35:17]hunger has been used hunger is being used as a weapon some
[35:23]of these political issues and some of these matters that concern the
[35:27]Muslims and this is probably the biggest issue that months now and
[35:35]there's no end in sight the we're we're not seeing an end
[35:39]to this suffering and this genocide that is going place and day
[35:46]after day the world is seeing the crimes of the Israelis and
[35:50]the zionists and just a few days ago they come and they
[35:56]strike a the world Aid kitchen where a human humanitarian group and
[35:59]this is not the first time they've killed journalists over a 100
[36:03]journalists have been killed many Aid groups slowly they're kicking out all
[36:07]of the aid groups and this is the way that they are
[36:12]uh forcing this famine and the starvation on the people of gazah
[36:17]and it is very shameful to see that until now the president
[36:23]has not demanded a ceasefire every time they're talking they're beating around
[36:27]the bush temporary TR temporary ceas fire here and there um and
[36:31]not only the president but you see other politicians just yesterday on
[36:35]CNN the governor of Michigan she was asked are you calling for
[36:39]a ceasefire and she refused to call for a ceasefire after 5
[36:45]months of after 5 months of people being killed children and families
[36:50]and innocent people they're being killed and no one cares about this
[36:53]the month of Ramadan my dear brothers and sisters we when we
[36:58]fast during the month of Ramadan the whole purpose of fasting one
[37:01]of the main reasons of fasting and worshiping during the month of
[37:05]Ramadan is so that we think of these people so that we
[37:09]wake up our minds from the distractions of this Dunya from the
[37:12]distractions of this life and think of those who are suffering and
[37:20]we pray for them we we do whatever we can to help
[37:23]them and we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala by these blessed day
[37:29]days on this last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan to
[37:31]bless all of those who are suffering and remove the suffering from
[37:38]their lives my dear brothers and sisters the last Friday of the
[37:40]month of Ramadan is also a day the day to to gather
[37:47]and and speak out against the oppression and this is not just
[37:51]because right now this has been going on for years decades now
[37:57]so we need to do our part and speak against oppression because
[38:00]this is what defines us as real Muslims this is what defines
[38:03]us as real Believers where our and our acts of worship they're
[38:08]supposed to be reflected in our deeds and in our actions and
[38:15]I believe today at 6:00 there is going to be a gathering
[38:18]in front of the Centennial library in Dearborn there's going to be
[38:23]a gathering there and protest for what's going on and there have
[38:26]been many protests and we are we encourage people to go out
[38:32]and speak out and and show their voices against the oppression that
[38:36]is taking place uh my dear brothers and sisters I also wanted
[38:40]to mention that on Monday There's going to be uh an eclipse
[38:45]on Monday and when there is a full eclipse there's a waj
[38:52]Salah that needs to be done a waj prayer an obligatory prayer
[38:56]Sal and the eclipse will the solar eclipse will take place at
[39:01]uh 1:58 p.m.
[39:03]and end at 4:27 p.m.
[39:05]this means that the Salah needs to be done during that time
[39:10]it needs to be done from the beginning of the eclipse at
[39:14]158 until 4:27 so this Salah uh it is a obligatory prayer
[39:20]inshallah I will come here and we will also have the Salah
[39:24]here for those who do not know how to pray it and
[39:27]want to pray it together you are allowed to pray because it
[39:32]is a waj prayer and it is it is uh it can
[39:36]be prayed in J so we will gather here at time for
[39:41]for and we will wait and then um do the inshallah my
[39:46]dear brothers and sisters tonight inshallah many of you are coming and
[39:51]uh we're having the our Umar dinner inshallah and we have very
[39:55]good news to announce to the Community inshallah we're going to be
[40:03]revealing the future of this organization and the plans that we have
[40:07]ahead if you're not going to be able to make it uh
[40:09]unfortunately all of the um were sold out on the tickets but
[40:14]inshah we will update you in the next time that we gather
