[0:00]la him in ash-shaitani rajeem smell ar-rahman ar-raheem i begin in the
[0:08]name of the almighty god the compassionate the merciful the one who
[0:16]has created everything in utmost perfection and made a peace and blessings
[0:21]of the almighty god be upon his pure and beloved messenger the
[0:26]peak of his creation the symbol of humanity the holy prophet muhammad
[0:33]sallallahu aleyhi wa ali and his immaculate progeny of the alan bates
[0:41]peace be upon them especially the leader of our time the awaited
[0:48]saviour an imam al-mahdi at jalalahu tejada firaga may Allah haste in
[0:54]his reappearance and make us all amongst sincere and dedicated servants respecters
[1:02]and sisters assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh Allah subhana WA Ta'ala states in the
[1:13]Holy Quran in surah az-zumar verse 68 miss min Langer rahmanir rahim
[1:19]one officer feel surah facade I Memphis a Marathi woman filled eridan
[1:27]in la mancha allah semenovich fe he okra Frieda whom diammonium Varun
[1:41]and it will be blown into the horn into the trumpet and
[1:45]as a result everyone in the heavens and on earth shall come
[1:56]to a standstill shall die then again the trumpet will be blown
[2:01]into and you see everyone rising towards their Lord this is a
[2:11]fascinating verse in the holy quran that captures how the day of
[2:17]judgment will start as Muslims and believers we believe in the day
[2:22]of judgment a core aspect of our belief system is the belief
[2:29]in the day of judgment one third of the holy quran is
[2:33]dedicated to reminding us of the day of judgment or speaking to
[2:41]us about the details of the day of judgment even when you
[2:44]start the fatiha the first chapter in the holy quran the third
[2:51]or fourth first because the bismillah is also a verse in Surat
[2:55]al-fatiha the fourth verse talks about the day of judgment miss malotte
[3:00]rahmanir rahim' and hamdu lillahi rabbil aalameen we start with Allah that's
[3:04]the origin that's the starting point all praise is due to Allah
[3:13]the lord of the universes then we remind ourselves of the Rama
[3:19]of God out of mercy God has created us Rahman al Rahim
[3:24]a Rahman is d compared to God the mercy of God that
[3:27]includes everyone all of his creations the animals the human beings the
[3:38]angels everyone al Rahim is a more specific type of mercy that
[3:43]Allah gives to those who want guidance they get a greater share
[3:47]of God's mercy then what's the next verse what do we recite
[3:54]in our Salah everyday Miley Kiyomi Deen the owner or the master
[3:59]of the Day of Dean what's Dean here Dean and Arabic has
[4:04]a number of meanings probably the meaning you're familiar with is one
[4:09]religion right what's your Dean what's your religion but there's another meaning
[4:18]of Dean one meaning of Dean is retribution recompense when you get
[4:23]compensated for something or you get accountable for something that's called Dean
[4:28]Allah the master of the Day of Deen the day of Deen
[4:33]is the day of judgment because on the day of judgment that's
[4:36]when everyone goes through this process of accounting the day of retribution
[4:46]the day of recompense so the quran quickly reminds us of the
[4:50]day of judgment because it's a core belief system that we have
[4:54]and you find the Abrahamic faiths by the way they're all so
[5:00]big on the day of judgment it's not just the religion of
[5:02]Islam if you look at the Bible the Old Testament in the
[5:09]New Testament in many verses of the New Testament we find references
[5:13]to the Day of Judgment to heaven to hell some events of
[5:18]the day of judgment now what about the Old Testament we believe
[5:23]that black hanno to Allah revealed many verses in the Old Testament
[5:27]to prophet Musa al-salaam talking about the day of judgment but over
[5:32]time many of those verses were omitted and the idea in those
[5:41]Jewish traditions the idea was to focus on this life it seems
[5:45]that they thought that if you believe in the day of judgment
[5:51]then you're not going to really work hard in this world you'll
[5:53]say I'll get my reward on the day of judgment why work
[6:00]that hard and there were unfortunately in some of those Jewish traditions
[6:03]materialistic people who wanted to focus on this life be the richest
[6:10]you can in this life have as much power as you can
[6:13]in this life that's one reason why in many of those Jewish
[6:18]communities they were big on usury on interest because that was a
[6:22]way to gather more and more wealth which of course the Bible
[6:25]criticized originally it did not accept used but still there are a
[6:34]couple of verses in the Old Testament that talk about the afterlife
[6:38]I'll share with you some of them so for instance you find
[6:42]in the old in 1 Samuel chapter 2 verses 6 to 8
[6:53]it states the Lord kills and gives life he brings people down
[6:57]to where the dead are and he raises them up so here
[7:03]there's a clear reference to resurrection that those who are dead will
[7:08]rise this isn't the Old Testament this is one of those rare
[7:10]verses that were kept in history many other verses about the day
[7:15]of judgment in the Old Testament were omitted from the Old Testament
[7:17]another example is is eya 26:19 but your dad will live Lord
[7:28]their bodies will rise let those who dwell in the dust wake
[7:32]up and shout for joy so this is a clear reference that
[7:38]those who die they go into the ground they become dust God
[7:42]will resurrect them God will give them life so this is a
[7:48]core belief amongst all the monotheistic religions my dear brothers and sisters
[7:53]and if one third of the Quran is dedicated to the day
[8:00]of judgment in reality God is telling us let one-third of your
[8:03]daily schedule and life be preoccupied with this idea of the Day
[8:07]of Judgment studying the day of judgment the details of the day
[8:12]of judgment the philosophy behind the judgment how do you prepare for
[8:15]the day of judgment that's significant because Allah Spano tejada wants us
[8:20]to succeed he's given us the recipe for success now intellectually why
[8:25]do we believe in the day of judgment we believe in the
[8:30]one Lord we believe God is just God is wise he put
[8:35]us here on earth for a purpose that purpose cannot be achieved
[8:40]here on earth only there are people who suffer in this life
[8:48]they're oppressed in this life where do they get compensated sometimes there's
[8:53]partial compensation here on earth but there is no full compensation where
[8:59]does God compensate them isn't God the merciful rahmanir rahim' this world
[9:05]is too much part too small too limited for you to be
[9:08]compensated for all the suffering that you go through or for the
[9:11]injustice that you experience so we no intellect we there must be
[9:20]an afterlife there must be another stage of our existence where God
[9:25]compensates us that's a given denying the day of judgement the Quran
[9:30]teaches us amounts to denying the Justice of God the wisdom of
[9:36]God and the mercy of God because the mercy of allah subhanaw
[9:39]taala is going to fully be embodied on the day judgment when
[9:48]God compensates all those who suffered number two what about those who
[9:54]got away with their crimes see today in our society you've got
[9:58]money you've got connections you can bring a good lawyer you can
[10:01]get away with a lot of things and some people get away
[10:05]with all of that they oppress others they ruin lives and then
[10:09]they leave they die without really serving justice having justice served on
[10:15]them so where does God serve his justice on such people people
[10:20]who got away with their crimes and they never actually repented or
[10:24]they never made an effort to fix what they've done where is
[10:27]God going to hold them accountable there must be a day of
[10:30]judgment without the day of judgment this life does not make sense
[10:38]you live here for 60 70 80 years then what then you
[10:40]die and you become dust that's it all this creation so you
[10:45]just live a few years and you expire that's not really wise
[10:49]is it Allah has a greater purpose for us so believing in
[10:56]the Day of Judgment actually validates this life here on earth without
[11:01]the belief in the Day of Judgment there is no meaning to
[11:04]this life here on earth now fascinating discussion here which is also
[11:11]disturbing at the same time is what I hear from some atheists
[11:16]when they want to criticize those who believe in God you know
[11:19]one argument that they make is the following for instance they'll see
[11:25]us approaching someone who's stuffing someone who has a disability what do
[11:29]we tell a person like that be patient it's okay this is
[11:36]a trial a Las Merciful every day that you suffer God will
[11:39]compensate you don't think your life is wasted because of your disability
[11:44]God is merciful and so we give them hope we remind them
[11:52]of God's mercy that God will fully compensate them he'll make them
[11:57]happy he'll give them their full word on the day of judgment
[11:59]you know what the Atheist does here when he hears a conference
[12:02]a conversation like that he comes and attacks us and he says
[12:09]well why are you giving him false hope when there is no
[12:12]God why are you giving him false hopes there's nothing on the
[12:18]other side he dies he becomes dust why giving why give him
[12:22]that false hope now when the atheists do that in reality they're
[12:25]committing a huge act of injustice against this disabled person or this
[12:32]person who's suffering because basically they're telling this disabled guy you know
[12:37]what you're a miserable creature there's no compensation for you you're gonna
[12:42]become dust like everybody else there's no purpose behind your life you're
[12:46]just some evolutionary accident over there and that's it live with it
[12:50]stay miserable there's no compensation it's that fair to do is this
[12:58]something humane to do if that person's finding hope in the Lord
[13:00]who's going to compensate them you've got to be a criminal to
[13:05]go and take that hope this poor guy or this lady who's
[13:07]suffering from a disability but no no no the way they phrase
[13:14]it is that they're being objective and we're not why put God
[13:18]in the equation there's nothing don't give them false hopes why you
[13:22]taking away their hope even even my dear brothers and sisters let's
[13:28]say for the sake of argument there is no afterlife in compensation
[13:31]if this guy has hope in that that allows them to cope
[13:35]with their disability why take away that away that from them is
[13:39]this fair to do but they're doing it every day by the
[13:40]way every single day we find those vocal atheists they do make
[13:47]these arguments and then the poor guy the disabled person sometimes hears
[13:51]that he has doubts you know is there really purpose behind my
[13:55]life am I really going to get compensated that's really sad to
[14:02]have someone go through that Allah compensates the full full compensation comes
[14:06]on the day of judgement and that in itself tells us that
[14:15]there is a resurrection there is adamant so now if we examine
[14:19]the verses of the Quran that speak about the day of judgement
[14:23]the first step the first stage that takes us to the afterlife
[14:31]is the Barza is when we die when the soul separates from
[14:35]the body that's the stage that precedes the Day of Judgment and
[14:42]the Quran says everyone must go through that coulda known F sin
[14:49]that attunement every soul shall taste death now people have different ways
[14:55]of reacting to death some of it is positive some of it
[15:02]is negative last week I was out of state for a program
[15:04]and we had a discussion with the youth one of the youth
[15:10]had a question and he was really disturbed now we were not
[15:13]discussing death and at that particular gathering but he had a question
[15:17]on death he told me say it I heard some descriptions from
[15:24]some speakers or some books or some verses about death and some
[15:30]of these descriptions are really frightening to be honest and ever since
[15:36]I heard those descriptions I can't sleep well at night I'm scared
[15:41]of death I wake up in the morning I'm scared of death
[15:44]death is always on my mind I'm scared I'm developing anxiety I
[15:52]don't know what to do help me what should I do now
[15:57]of course this is unnatural for it to go that far yes
[15:59]we should be serious about the idea of death so I told
[16:05]him have you heard the other side of death you've heard one
[16:08]side of this story yes some people may go through what you've
[16:12]heard about those who were irresponsible with lives they never repented they
[16:18]ruined the lives of others okay death could be difficult for them
[16:23]but have you heard the other side what God will grant those
[16:25]believers or those people who did good or even the sinful but
[16:32]they repented have you heard about those narrations and verses he said
[16:37]no tell me about them so I did tell him but the
[16:40]most beautiful verse in the Holy Quran that describes to us death
[16:46]for those who are good who are prepared and inshallah were all
[16:50]prepared for them for the next stage because it's going to be
[16:56]greatest stage in your existence remember our last merciful he's been merciful
[17:00]here with you what makes you think he's not going to be
[17:03]merciful with you at the moment of death well no one can
[17:08]help you but God he's not going to leave you because Allah
[17:10]is merciful so I shared with him the verse of solitude wonka
[17:14]that states for those good people you know what death is like
[17:25]the quran uses the word rau anyone knows what raw means raw
[17:31]is similar to the word roof which means spirit or soul and
[17:39]also real which means a breeze or the wind the world or
[17:42]our describes the following moment according to scholar of the Arabic language
[17:51]have you ever been in a small compact area where you feel
[17:54]suffocated let's say like a sauna or maybe sometimes in the bathroom
[17:58]there's a lot of water vapor it's hot you're about to suffocate
[18:04]you can't breathe and then you step outside you catch the cool
[18:10]breeze has that ever happened to you that cool breeze that kind
[18:15]of brings back your soul is called Lao and Arabic Allah says
[18:24]death for those who are good is low think about that it's
[18:28]a sign of relief for them and the hadith beautifully tells us
[18:34]that when a believer is experiencing the stages of death that's how
[18:39]they experience death the angel appears in a beautiful form giving them
[18:44]a flower imagine that a flower a fragrant flower you take that
[18:50]flower you smell the flower the hadith says the flower does two
[18:55]things the aroma of that flower does two things one it makes
[18:58]you forget about life everything you have in this materialistic life and
[19:05]even your family members because one thing that could make death difficult
[19:10]you're attached to people whom you love right when you smell that
[19:13]flower you forget about all of that no worries number two it
[19:21]makes you dizzy makes you dizzy like you're about to fall asleep
[19:24]that very calm moment and then suddenly the hadith says you see
[19:28]you've separated from your body that's how death is Allah subhanAllah does
[19:33]merciful think of death my dear brothers and sisters as a graduation
[19:41]day if you've prepared well you know what you're doing you're excited
[19:45]you're going to college or you graduated from college graduation day is
[19:49]that a day you should fear well yeah some college students who
[19:54]are goofballs and they've been partying all night throughout the semester I'm
[19:58]sure they're not gonna like that day of graduation because they didn't
[20:03]do well you decide whether the day of graduation is going to
[20:07]be a wonderful day or a bad day you decide if you've
[20:13]prepared Oh you look forward to the day of graduation because now
[20:17]you know you've achieved well you're going to the next stage of
[20:21]your life that's exciting death my dear brothers and sisters is the
[20:25]day of your graduation if you've prepared well you should be excited
[20:30]mama I've never thought about Islam says nothing is more exciting nothing
[20:38]feels more victorious than death because it's the day of my graduation
[20:43]and I've prepared well I look forward to it it's not something
[20:46]that scares me yes it scares me if I'm not prepared at
[20:52]all because then I don't know if I'm going to graduate you
[20:55]know see that's the fear of death otherwise Allah is merciful and
[20:58]we have many many other verses and beautiful descriptions of death in
[21:05]our hadith for those who are prepared in fact one narration even
[21:10]likens it to the world of wombs like an infant right spending
[21:15]nine months in the womb of its mother imagine once it sees
[21:20]the real world out there and all that the world has to
[21:23]offer would the person prefer to go back in that womb and
[21:31]that small womb seeing no lights no interaction with anyone of course
[21:35]not because you've seen what this world has to offer this world
[21:38]this world compared to the hereafter is like that when you see
[21:44]what's out there in the hereafter you don't want to come back
[21:46]to this life in fact the soul feels liberated at the moment
[21:53]of death if we prepared for them so now what marks the
[21:56]journey the start of the journey to the day of judgment is
[22:03]death Allah subhana wa ta'ala and the Barza those who are good
[22:06]he gives them the reward on a temporary basis till the day
[22:12]of judgment those who are bad they do get punished for their
[22:15]those who are in between they were not fully believers but they
[22:20]were not stubborn with God and His signs you know they were
[22:23]otherwise decent people maybe they didn't make an effort to really find
[22:26]the truth but they were not stubborn with the truth the hadith
[22:29]states they'll be put to sleep it won't feel anything until the
[22:35]day of judgement now what happens on the day of judgment that's
[22:38]verse 68 of surat azuma so now you've got people on earth
[22:46]at the end of times so that Yasin captures how busy they
[22:50]are they're in their markets arguing with one another over business transactions
[22:57]when suddenly the trumpet will be blown into the trumpet is called
[23:05]sewell in arabic it's the horn that the angel is rafi will
[23:13]blow into now this is not you know a physical horn that
[23:18]you can actually see it's something much greater than that the hadith
[23:22]describes this horn this torn as massive as the universe that the
[23:26]angel will blow into and this horn has holes into it as
[23:33]many as there are souls in the universe so imagine all the
[23:40]aims and there are God knows how many of them imam ali
[23:42]ali said i'm an angel but as i know what he says
[23:45]he says every square foot in this universe is occupied by an
[23:48]angel worshipping god think about that subhanAllah thinking of that every square
[23:56]foot do you know how massive this universe is this observable is
[24:02]ninety billion light years across 90 billion light years how many square
[24:09]feet can you fit in this universe the Imam and he says
[24:15]every square feet in the universe is occupied by an angel worshipping
[24:18]Allah today when you pray so active Lauren also just remind yourself
[24:23]when I'm worshipping God when I'm standing to pray to Allah I
[24:29]am sinking myself I'm synchronizing myself with the entire universe everything in
[24:34]the universe is worshiping Allah don't look at society people discouraging you
[24:39]from praying what are you doing look at the whole look at
[24:42]the big picture here earth is a small speck in this universe
[24:44]everything else is dropping God the Quran says everything worships God the
[24:50]universe worships even the plants worship God because they submit to the
[24:55]law of Allah yeah not every person worships God but I says
[25:01]what kathira mañana's many people do we're really the only exception everything
[25:06]else in the universe is worshipping God let that give you strength
[25:10]brothers and sisters when you pray when you obey the laws of
[25:16]Allah subhana WA Ta'ala in fact the one who does worship God
[25:19]he's the one who is disconnecting himself from the rhythm of the
[25:25]universe that's the anomaly there not you who who is praying once
[25:29]I was at the airport and the time for salat came and
[25:33]you know by the time I'd reached my destination the time would
[25:36]expire so I had to pray so I got up I found
[25:41]a quiet corner but you know and then there are people who
[25:45]are going to pass by people sitting by the gate they're gonna
[25:47]see you it's an awkward situation I'll admit to you it's not
[25:49]easy to pray and it's situate in a setting like that so
[25:54]I got up I started my Salah and then you know you
[25:59]get some of those awkward looks right nothing unusual but you can
[26:02]see maybe some people get uncomfortable or they're wondering what are you
[26:07]doing or then maybe they're judging you so in my first like
[26:09]on my first unit I naturally felt a little bit uncomfortable it's
[26:15]natural we're humans we have emotions when someone sees you like that
[26:19]maybe you get a little bit uncomfortable but then I had this
[26:22]thought here that I just discussed with you I said to myself
[26:29]look this earth belongs to God the oxygen I'm breathing right now
[26:32]belongs to God this airport belongs to God everything in the universe
[26:36]is worshiping God why should I feel ashamed of myself for standing
[26:43]and shipping my lord in fact all those other people if they're
[26:46]not worshiping God they shal they should feel ashamed not me I'm
[26:50]the one who is standing here and synchronizing myself up the universe
[26:55]worshiping God why should I feel awkward let them feel awkward if
[27:00]anybody should feel awkward here it's the one who's not worshiping God
[27:02]not me now that gave me you know a lot more strength
[27:08]to continue that prayer and it was one of the best players
[27:09]I've ever had that hummed in him let's think about that my
[27:14]dear brothers and sisters whatever you're struggling with two nights ago on
[27:19]Friday night we had a discussion the head job for both genders
[27:22]after the program a number of sisters they came and they were
[27:30]sharing their concerns that it has really become difficult for them to
[27:33]either keep on the her job or where the her job why
[27:37]not because of Islamophobia no that was maybe the last thing on
[27:43]their list you know why friends family who are discouraging them and
[27:49]outright not letting them two sisters almost cried because their father has
[27:56]threatened them that if they wear the hijab he will be violent
[28:03]with them can you imagine I don't know what to say I'm
[28:06]not gonna say anything but it's a tough it's very difficult on
[28:12]top of all that we have to deal with in society now
[28:14]you have your own father training you that if you wear the
[28:20]head job you'll do this or he'll do that it's a tough
[28:23]trial sometimes that leads you but remember when you worship God or
[28:30]you obey the law of allah subhanaw taala everything in the universe
[28:35]is with you and Santora rafael verse 7 tells us that the
[28:39]angels great angels of God those who surround throne of Allah subhana
[28:46]WA Ta'ala they pray for the believers who are trying to worship
[28:51]God Wester firoun and in lovina amin imagine that god's purest angel
[28:55]they worship God they manage the affairs in the of the universe
[29:00]but the next thing that they do is they ask a lot
[29:05]to help you to give you strength so just feel that Allah
[29:07]Spano Tejada is with you so then it's La feel he blows
[29:14]to the trumpet everything in the universe comes to a standstill every
[29:19]soul dies except the highest-ranking angels of God and the souls of
[29:24]the great messengers of God and the Prophet and Imams of and
[29:30]invades their spirit from that but everything else comes to a standstill
[29:37]everything dies now the sound or the effect that this trumpet generates
[29:42]causes the entire universe to collide to clash planets will collide into
[29:49]one another the mountains on earth as the Quran tells us in
[29:51]a number of verses they will collide into one another there will
[29:57]be utter chaos in the universe and it's God's Way of telling
[30:01]us those who deny that I created this universe that I held
[30:07]this universe Twitter I gave organization to this universe see today with
[30:13]one blow into the trumpet look at the chaos in the universe
[30:18]who was holding this river's all that time billions of years mother
[30:23]nature yeah let's see mother nature we'll fix this up who your
[30:26]idols those who worship the idols let's see them what can they
[30:34]do here evolution randomness coincidence okay let's go incidents take care of
[30:36]things that day Allah says no this is to show you I
[30:42]was in charge all this time and you rejected that so yes
[30:46]there will be a massive disruption in the universe when the horn
[30:51]is blown into so everyone dies then the hadith states 40 years
[30:57]later now when we say 40 years this is an amount of
[31:02]time because you know time is relative so after 40 years as
[31:08]the hadith states God resurrects Fein and he tells him to blow
[31:12]into the trumpet the second time when that happens God resurrects everyone
[31:17]everybody has died goes back to its original form on that day
[31:26]we will really experience the power of allah subhanaw taala because there
[31:31]have been people who've died thousands or millions of years before that
[31:37]their bodies have degenerated decomposed disintegrated and they become part of the
[31:46]earth they become dust Allah on that day he shows us how
[31:49]he will gather and if that sounds straight the Quran tells us
[31:58]remember this body that you have this beautiful fully functioning body that
[32:03]a God has given you God created it from dust if God
[32:06]created your body from dust what makes you think he cannot bring
[32:13]back your body from dust which is more difficult to do to
[32:16]create for the first time and give life or to bring back
[32:23]to life the Quran tells us that the one who gave you
[32:25]life the first time he can gather all those components of your
[32:32]body from the earth and give rise to your original body now
[32:35]the pagans they had a problem with that this was too difficult
[32:38]for them to accept and one of the arguments they made is
[32:45]well you know you've decomposed you become dust a part of your
[32:49]body could be on this side of the planet a part of
[32:52]your body can be on the other side of planet in fact
[32:56]some of your feet could be in another person's body I'll share
[32:59]with you a thought here hopefully doesn't scare you you know in
[33:04]your body right now you've got bits and pieces of a lot
[33:10]of human beings in your body did you know that how see
[33:16]you look at that you eat where does the food grow from
[33:23]from the earth right well over millions of years people are buried
[33:28]in the earth their body decomposes and it becomes part of the
[33:32]dust part of the earth then you have vegetation that grows from
[33:37]that dust and they eat it and it goes into your body
[33:39]you have chunks and be pieces of humans and your body yes
[33:46]that's a reality not to scare you but that's the reality allah
[33:51]subhanaw taala says yes I'll decipher which part will go back to
[33:58]its original body that's the power of God because Allah has the
[34:01]power and he has the knowledge we don't maybe with science we
[34:05]are discovering that you can you know trace somebody's DNA scattered all
[34:09]over the planet science is going there but Allah knows all of
[34:16]that Allah says all resurrect each body to its original form the
[34:19]way you died how did you die alas as that body I'm
[34:22]going to resurrect it on the day of judgment and so the
[34:25]Quran says they will emerge from their graves when that horn is
[34:34]blown into and that officially marks the start of the day of
[34:37]the judgement now the day of judgment itself and what happens afterwards
[34:41]you know there are many events that happen until you know the
[34:45]people of heaven go to heaven the people of Hell go to
[34:49]hell there are many stages that happen shall on another opportunity we
[34:52]can discuss that but this is just to give you a glimpse
[34:57]my dear brothers and sisters from the moment of death till the
[35:00]starts of the Day of Judgment what happens so now we will
[35:04]open the floor to addressing any questions that you have or any
[35:09]observations that you have whether related to the topic of our discussion
[35:13]this morning or anything else on your mind will start inshallah with
[35:19]a very loud salat yes brother that's a very good question so
[35:45]the first part of the question those who end up going to
[35:47]hell is there a way for them to get out of hell
[35:52]or they're stuck there for eternity most of the people who end
[35:56]up in Hell will serve time in hell on a temporary basis
[36:02]after they expiate for their sins Allah subhana WA Ta'ala will forgive
[36:09]them and he'll release them from hell so most people in Hell
[36:15]will be forgiven by God they'll serve an amount of time and
[36:18]then after that Allah spano to either freeze them I'll give you
[36:23]several examples of our hadith how God will free those people from
[36:28]Hell number one let's say you have a family member let's say
[36:35]I failed my test right I never repented I didn't do that
[36:38]many deeds I didn't take this life religion seriously I've got a
[36:45]lot of violations okay let's say the Justice of God if there's
[36:48]room for forgiveness God will forgive as much as it's possible but
[36:51]remember justice must also be served so let's say let's say this
[36:57]person goes to hell the Hadean States if they have a family
[36:59]member who's in heaven and that family member was a good decent
[37:10]believer they did good in their lives they passed their test or
[37:13]another hadith states this person carried the Quran in their hearts in
[37:18]this life Allah will type of person in heaven because you honored
[37:25]the Quran today God wants to honor you if you have 10
[37:28]from your relatives and I'll go and save them so our last
[37:35]panel Terada will allow the inhabitants of heaven to go and speak
[37:38]you know these 10 people I know them they're my family there
[37:43]are my relatives I want them saved Allah says they deserve to
[37:46]stay in hell but because of you as a believer you honored
[37:50]my word I'll honor you today because of you Alfred them so
[37:54]Allah forgives them there's a hadith from the Prophet about that so
[37:58]that's one way that the people of hell are saved the second
[38:03]way is the month of Ramadhan the hadith states every Friday in
[38:08]the month of Ramadhan a million people who are sentenced to hell
[38:13]allah subhanaw taala frees them a million people can you imagine and
[38:21]then the hadith states on the day of her aid Allah fries
[38:24]on the day of Eid as many people as he's freed during
[38:31]the entire month of Ramadan every Friday one meal and then every
[38:34]day I forgot the exact count but I'll allow so freeze many
[38:37]people on the day of Eid whatever he is freed Allah will
[38:42]free the same amount of people on the same the same number
[38:48]of people on the day of judgment so that's one way to
[38:50]also receive the Rama from Allah subhana WA Ta'ala so there are
[38:53]many things that can actually save us on the day of judgement
[38:58]in fact in fact we even have narrations that tell us if
[39:03]the people of Hell feel regretful they sincerely repent o God you
[39:09]know we really repent we admit that what we did was not
[39:13]okay it was not justified please forgive us they begged God for
[39:17]forgiveness God will eventually forgive them so who will stay in hell
[39:23]for eternity then because there are narrated verses that tell us there
[39:28]are some cadena fear there there forever who are they Imam Ali
[39:33]on Islam tells us who they are in dark mane you're familiar
[39:38]with this phrase one totally deaf even Mahana Dean who's more honoured
[39:44]who are familiar with Arabic what does I didn't mean the stubborn
[39:52]one stubborn amount I need never thought up says those who are
[39:57]stubborn right they will do what in hell forever because even in
[40:01]hell even in hell God tells them will you accept now after
[40:08]seeing everything they say no can you imagine how some people haven't
[40:11]you seen some people like here in this world they'll make repeated
[40:17]violations or like serial killers or offenders and they keep causing destruction
[40:23]in society and even when they're held accountable no I'm not gonna
[40:27]admit you're gonna get punished so be it I'm not how many
[40:32]of you saw the trifle Saddam millions of people died because of
[40:39]his injustice at court when he was being sentenced he didn't he
[40:43]was not willing to admit anything apologize admit no I'm still the
[40:48]president of Iraq and I did this and that and everything is
[40:52]justified what do you what do you do with a person and
[40:54]even on the day of judgement let's say in hell after you
[41:00]know serving his term God tells him ok now accept the truth
[41:03]and apologize I'll know I'm not gonna accept what do you do
[41:10]stubborn moronic well I'm 200 @pn maja Nadine some people just reject
[41:14]the truth the enemies of God the enemies of the Prophet the
[41:19]enemies of their handle based on the day of judgement God will
[41:21]tell them now are you going to accept the position of the
[41:23]Prophet the position of Imam Ali no we won't ok deal with
[41:29]the consequences of your stubbornness but the overall idea here is that
[41:35]allah subhanaw taala will definitely forgive most of the inhabitants of hell
[41:39]and he gives the believers a role in that and that's to
[41:42]honor you yes there was another question yes sister that's a very
[42:28]good question now sometimes you see people dying a tragic death of
[42:33]violence death a disturbing death and then others it seems like they
[42:38]die a more peaceful death right is that any indication is that
[42:43]an indicator of how the soul is being separated from the body
[42:48]and how this person is experiencing death so when we examine the
[42:52]Quran and the hadith what we can conclude is that the physical
[42:55]way that you see people dying is not an indicator of what
[43:00]the soul is going through somebody could die very violent death right
[43:04]being shot being killed being slaughtered being exploded whatever it is but
[43:09]if that person was a believer a good person they will not
[43:12]feel any of them in fact in fact there are narrations that
[43:18]indicate before even the death happens fully physically you see it like
[43:23]a person let's say exploding before even that happens the angel of
[43:26]death comes to this person and the Angel of Death distracts this
[43:34]person either giving him that flower or by being good to him
[43:37]because the Prophet in one hadith he says God commands the angel
[43:43]of death when you go to a believer to a good decent
[43:46]person who's passed their test stand before the believer like his slave
[43:52]stands before his master can you imagine that the Angel of Death
[43:59]this is one of God's greatest angels God tells him go to
[44:03]that believer when you want to take soul or her soul stand
[44:09]in so much humbleness before that believer like that believers your master
[44:14]and your the slave imagine imagine that encounter with the angel of
[44:18]death so the angel of death starts the process of taking the
[44:20]soul distracts you with that flower suddenly you see it's all over
[44:25]for me it looked like a violent death if I'm observing but
[44:28]not for the Soul it was the most peaceful death and you
[44:31]also have the opposite scenario maybe someone is on their deathbed they've
[44:38]got everyone surrounding them but let's say the person was an evil
[44:43]person right a lot of dictators die that way they've got people
[44:46]surrounding them on a nice bed and their castle everything looks comfortable
[44:52]right looks like a very peaceful death but know what the soul
[44:59]is going through be very very difficult and me and we have
[45:02]stories of the prophet sallallaahu annually visiting people who were dying now
[45:08]they're on their deathbed they look like a sleep in a coma
[45:12]but then the Prophet would recite a prayer the person would wake
[45:15]up from their coma and he would the Prophet would ask him
[45:17]what are you seeing now and so he would describe the very
[45:21]difficulty he was going through then the Prophet asks for her for
[45:27]his forgiveness or if his mother was upset with him he had
[45:29]violated his mother the Prophet convinced his mother to forgive him then
[45:32]he falls into it he slips onto another coma when he wakes
[45:37]up from the coma and this is the last moments of his
[45:40]life minutes after that he passed away the Prophet asked him now
[45:46]what do you see he said now I see the angel of
[45:51]death and the most beautiful figure that I've ever seen in my
[45:53]life and now the process of death is starting for me so
[45:57]now for me who's standing there I can't notice any of them
[46:01]so don't consider the way a person dies as an indicator whether
[46:06]the person was good or bad because I know some of you
[46:08]have I you've experienced it or you have friends maybe they've had
[46:13]loved ones who've had a difficult death maybe from your perspective that's
[46:17]not an indication that the person is a bad or they're going
[46:21]to suffer that world of the stole is hidden from us we
[46:26]cannot see exactly what happens so don't take these as indicators the
[46:40]other questions yes sister you mean in a dream how do they
[46:49]talk to a person from the other side those scholars have two
[47:04]opinions about this one scholarly opinion is that when the dead depart
[47:09]this world no one is granted permission to communicate with them yes
[47:15]sometimes in the form of a dream not all dreams some dreams
[47:19]may be they could be sending a message to their loved ones
[47:21]but that's on a limited basis but to have a direct encounter
[47:27]with their soul a lot of scholars understand you know from Quran
[47:31]and hadith that's it you know the the separation has happened and
[47:36]we what we don't really have access to that yes prophets would
[47:40]the Prophet was given permission by God to sometimes communicate with the
[47:45]dead prophet Jesus peace be upon him in our narrations sometimes he
[47:48]passed by a grave and he talked to the soul of the
[47:52]person who's buried in that grave he had that power from God
[47:57]to communicate with the dead but but he's a prophet chosen by
[48:00]God as for other people they don't really have that connection so
[48:05]this is one scholarly opinion there is another solid opinion that says
[48:10]yes some people might do certain exercises that would connect to the
[48:15]soul of the dead now they believe it's Haram for a person
[48:21]to do that because it disturbs the soul but they nonetheless nonetheless
[48:25]believe that this could happen so you'll definitely worries here and there
[48:30]of people summoning the soul of a debt a lot of scholars
[48:34]will probably dispute that that you know this is not something that
[48:37]is real whereas some other scholars will actually accept that this could
[48:40]happen so there's really two perspectives on that I wanted to add
[48:46]too much weight to it you know people make claims you don't
[48:48]know what's true what's not true so try to ignore it for
[48:53]the most part yeah if you're getting a good message scholars tell
[48:56]us if you don't know what's true or not true or even
[49:01]a dream that you have if the dead is sending you a
[49:04]good message do good deeds on my behalf see that's confirmed by
[49:07]Quran hadith so do good deeds take that as a message from
[49:11]the dead that they need your good deeds pay charity on their
[49:14]behalf pray on their behalf read Quran on their behalf do something
[49:20]on their behalf see take a positive sign like that but if
[49:25]it's something else it's better to ignore it yes Hajj everything is
[49:36]sorted that and the people of heaven let's say go to heaven
[49:43]right time is relevant so how long is the day of judgement
[49:50]before everything is settled the people of heaven go to heaven and
[49:54]the people of Hell go to hell well the Quran gives us
[49:56]two figures one verse states 1,000 years is the duration of one
[50:05]day on the day of judgment imagine that one day on the
[50:12]day of direct is equivalent to 1,000 earthly years another person the
[50:18]Holy Quran states 50,000 years how do we make sense of that
[50:22]as you all know and you know Einstein shed scientific light on
[50:28]this time is relative right time is not fixed it depends on
[50:32]four factors one of those factors is movement how fast an object
[50:36]moves actually determines the time so on the day of judgment when
[50:44]you hear these verses 1,000 years 50 years this is all relative
[50:50]because time itself is relative it depends what your perspective is what
[50:55]angle you're looking at from that's one thing to consider second thing
[51:00]to consider scholars understand these various verses and hadees that gives us
[51:06]that give us different time frames it depends on the individual on
[51:09]the day of judgment for the believers the high-ranking believers it's a
[51:15]breeze they come out of their graves God has forgiven they quickly
[51:20]pass over the bridge of Sirat as one hadith states as fast
[51:27]as lightning they pass there in heaven will not take much time
[51:31]for them but let's say those who are not like those who
[51:37]had a lot of sins maybe they did not die with belief
[51:42]it's gonna be longer so the more the person failed their test
[51:44]the longer the day of judgment is going to be for them
[51:49]they might be standing on their feet waiting for God's judgement over
[51:54]fifty thousand years that's a type of punishment see Allah says take
[51:57]the day of judgment seriously if you're not good in this life
[52:00]one punishment on the day of judgment is that you have to
[52:05]stand on your feet for fifty thousand years just waiting for that
[52:10]final punishment imagine imagine waiting fifty thousand years for the sentence to
[52:16]be passed how anxious the person will be during all this time
[52:19]standing on their feet and many verses and hadith described what it
[52:23]what it is on the day of judgment it's a day of
[52:27]intense heat a day of thirst a day of difficulty so for
[52:33]those people will be very prolonged but for the believers it will
[52:36]be very quick so it really depends on the amount of good
[52:39]deeds that the person has done and the strength of their faith
[52:44]the more good deeds the stronger the faith the quicker it will
[52:47]be the less good deeds the more sins the weaker the faith
[52:53]the longer it will yes Hodja so every soul is waiting for
[53:05]the day of judgment however there's a temporary garden of paradise on
[53:11]earth that the believers will enjoy till the trumpet is blown into
[53:15]and this is called the world of birth we have Hadees that
[53:20]tell us this happens in the valley of peace and why do
[53:24]Salaam by Najaf the souls of the believers congregate there they receive
[53:27]the and the blessings of God till the day of judgement the
[53:31]non-believers there's a valley called bara hoot and Yemen in modern-day Yemen
[53:37]basically God takes their souls there and they get punished until the
[53:42]day of judgment so everyone has to wait for the day of
[53:47]judgement no one actually enters that final heaven or that final hell
[53:50]this happens all on the day of judgment now those in between
[53:53]there just put to sleep they have no sense of time or
[53:59]awareness until the day of judgment then God gives them their their
[54:03]judgement yes we'll conclude with this question yes brother yes Allah spano
[54:11]to Allah and so let's infect says all confident certain soul if
[54:17]your confidence with Allah here in this world do you feel safe
[54:23]for the God you feel attracted to God you feel comfortable with
[54:27]God and the laws of God and the system of God see
[54:31]all of that is Neffs in Ultima and na the certain soul
[54:33]of the believers who truly believe in everything that Allah Spano Tata
[54:41]has given them Allah says he will command that soul yeah I
[54:45]yet to her nuts Padma in all soul that has been certain
[54:48]with me Eldridge a in Arabic e at the moment of death
[54:53]come back to your Lord in what state Robley attend Marathi you
[54:58]are fully satisfied and content and Allah is content with you and
[55:04]there's nothing better than that than to go back to God you're
[55:06]happy and you know God is happy with you that's what Fira
[55:11]body what funny Jannetty and Allah invites the soul to enter heaven
[55:16]the first heaven is a temporary one here on earth berserk and
[55:18]then the main one is on the day of judgement my dear
[55:22]brothers and sisters may Allah bless you and your families we ask
[55:26]Allah to illuminate our hearts with the guidance of the Holy Quran
[55:30]and to help us all pair for the Day of Judgment wassalamualaikum
[55:34]warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
