[2:34]um foreign [Music] one of the most important ingredients to a happy

[4:15]life and a happy and successful and prosperous afterlife is faith faith

[4:23]is very important for a person to live stress-free for a person

[4:32]to live without anxiety and difficulties when we talk about faith the

[4:40]first thought that comes to our mind is faith in God now

[4:43]yes that is the greatest form of faith that every single person

[4:48]needs for happiness however faith is something that everyone has and everyone

[4:57]needs I have faith that the sun will rise tomorrow hence I

[5:03]make plans for tomorrow and next week and a year from now

[5:07]I thought I have faith in a small ignition switch and hence

[5:14]I sleep at night rest assured knowing tomorrow I do have a

[5:20]way to get to work because I have faith that the small

[5:23]switch is going to work I have faith that my kidneys that

[5:29]my liver that my lungs are going to work and hence I

[5:31]make plans for tomorrow the day after a year from now and

[5:38]we live our life based on faith we don't have certainty I

[5:42]don't have certainty that the car will start I don't have certainty

[5:47]that the sun will rise tomorrow the sun is one of the

[5:49]stars and every day hundreds and thousands of stars die this our

[5:56]star could also die however I have faith I don't have certainty

[6:02]I have faith and therefore faith is very important to live stress-free

[6:08]to live without anxiety without pain and when we look at the

[6:15]grand scheme of things if faith in a small ignition switch or

[6:19]faith in the sun rising tomorrow or faith that my alarm clock

[6:24]is going to wake me up in the morning brings me happiness

[6:29]imagine faith in the creator of the Universe imagine her and the

[6:36]and the under and the one who has put all of this

[6:41]together right now when Apple comes out with a device I have

[6:46]faith that that device is going to when I buy it when

[6:50]it comes in the mail and I push the on button I

[6:53]have faith that it's going to turn on why because I know

[6:55]that this company has a good track record I know that this

[6:58]company has done a good job therefore I have faith in that

[7:04]company well what about Allah who has created me who has organized

[7:09]everything in a sophisticated manner should I not have faith then Allah

[7:16]no we have to have faith in God and when we have

[7:21]faith in Allah this will bring us many benefits to our lives

[7:25]because at the end of the day I recognize that I'm weak

[7:32]I recognize that I'm limited I recognize that I am powerless therefore

[7:37]when I Surrender when I have tawakul when I have Reliance on

[7:43]a power that I know has a good track record an impeccable

[7:48]track record a power that has created me a power that has

[7:52]gifted me that has given me everything that I have shouldn't that

[7:56]bring me Comfort should I shouldn't that bring me some some peace

[8:02]and all of these difficulties and challenges that we Face the this

[8:08]is why my dear brothers and sisters we need to have faith

[8:10]to live a happy life we need to have faith to live

[8:16]a stress-free life we need to have faith so that we are

[8:18]our life will function in the way that we want it to

[8:24]otherwise Faith what's the point of faith if I don't believe in

[8:27]things that I don't see if everything I have to have 100

[8:31]certainty in then that means I don't have faith that my alarm

[8:33]clock is going to turn on tomorrow I don't have faith that

[8:37]my car is going to start I don't have faith in many

[8:41]things but we have faith in individuals we have faith and devices

[8:44]we have faith in things therefore that that allows us to live

[8:48]stress-free so my dear brothers and sisters faith in Allah is very

[8:54]important Reliance on God and Allah talks about this in the Quran

[9:04]the one who has taqwa Reliance on God then Allah will give

[9:11]you an exit out of any problem that you're dealing with and

[9:18]the sustenance will come to you from a way that you did

[9:24]not imagine we always make calculations if I do this business if

[9:27]I do this deal money will come this way money will come

[9:32]this way if I have faith in God money will come from

[9:34]away though I did not calculate is that possible yes of course

[9:38]it's possible many times has a statement he says sustenance of two

[9:46]types there's the sustenance that you seek and then there's the sustenance

[9:53]that seeks you so much and then here's the important parts you

[10:05]rely on God then that's it you're relying on the greatest power

[10:12]you're relying on the one who has ultimate authority over everything in

[10:20]another verse say nothing will happen to me except that which God

[10:32]has decreed and destined for me the Believers should have reliance [Music]

[10:48]now when we talk about Reliance on God does this mean that

[10:53]I don't I live a careless life I don't fulfill my duties

[10:56]I don't fulfill my obligations and I say yeah we're just relying

[11:01]on God of course not that's not how Faith Works you need

[11:04]to do your job you need to do your task but then

[11:09]at the end you leave it up to Allah you leave it

[11:14]up to God because there are there's a point where there are

[11:17]some things in our lives that we don't have control of but

[11:21]I do my job I have to make sure that I fulfill

[11:25]my duties and my task a man comes to rasulullah he tells

[11:29]the prophets he says should I tie my camel and then rely

[11:36]on God or should I let my camel loose and say I

[11:40]rely on God that the camel is not going to get lost

[11:42]foreign and then have Reliance on Allah in another he says [Music]

[11:56]there was a prophet from amongst the prophets of God he became

[12:02]ill he's a prophet of Allah he said I'm not going to

[12:13]take medicine until the one who made me fall ill God he

[12:15]will be the one who will cure me reveals to him I

[12:25]will not cure you unless you take the medicine because the medicine

[12:30]is also created by God some people think that the medicine is

[12:33]created by another God by something else no the medicine is also

[12:36]created by Allah when I take that medicine Allah has put the

[12:43]ingredients Allah has made that medicine work on me there are many

[12:46]people they take medicine it doesn't work on them so even if

[12:49]you take medicine there are some people they say I don't want

[12:51]to take medicine I don't want to go to the doctor I

[12:54]don't want to do this because this goes it conflicts my Reliance

[12:56]on God no it doesn't because these means I have also been

[13:03]there and provided for you by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala so when

[13:07]we have faith when we have talakun on Allah there are many

[13:13]benefits one of the first and most important benefits is that faith

[13:17]will relieve you of the stress and anxiety our life we try

[13:24]to be in control of everything I try to have control because

[13:27]when I'm in control therefore I feel I'm at peace but there's

[13:32]many things that happen in our lives that we are in not

[13:34]in control of I'm not in control of what happens to me

[13:38]I'm not in control of my health I'm not in control of

[13:41]my wealth I'm not in control of many things the stock market

[13:43]could crush I could go to the doctor and the doctor could

[13:47]tell me there's a problem with me there's many things that we

[13:50]are not in control of so when I'm not in control that

[13:55]makes me anxious that makes me live a stressful life because I'm

[13:58]not in control of what's Happening imagine you're trying to fly a

[14:03]plane for the first time in your life the doctor fell ill

[14:05]and they told you they told you yeah you coming you fly

[14:09]the plane you're going to be very anxious it's going to be

[14:14]very stressful but then imagine they came and they told you no

[14:18]the doctor is fine he's here he's the the pilot is fine

[14:22]the pilot is going to fly the plane how is that going

[14:25]to make you feel or to feel very relieved because now you're

[14:29]surrendering this responsibility that you did not have authority of you're not

[14:34]in control of you're surrendering it to someone who knows what they're

[14:38]doing so imagine when we surrender our matters Allah when we surrender

[14:45]the difficulties and the challenges we surrendering surrender it to God Allah

[14:50]is the one who provides the finances we stress out over finances

[14:58]the risk comes from God when we are sick we get stressful

[15:00]and filled with anxiety who is the one who really cures me

[15:05]yes we said you go to the doctor you take the medicine

[15:07]but the real cure comes from whom who cures me and this

[15:19]is why we need to surrender to Allah we need to have

[15:25]faith and Allah he says he advised his son he tells his

[15:35]son oh my dear son a person is in total a hundred

[15:43]percent Reliance on God at three stages of their life but then

[15:46]at the fourth stage they lose Reliance what are those three stages

[15:53]the first is when you're in the womb of your mother who's

[15:55]sending you the list who's sending you the sustenance who's sending you

[15:58]the food when you're in the womb of your mother only Allah

[16:02]we don't even know how advanced science is there's no other way

[16:06]where the the the nutrition all of that has to come in

[16:13]the womb that is a system that has made by God Allah

[16:17]so we rely on God we rely on God that Allah will

[16:22]send the risk and the nutrition to this baby that was an

[16:24]embryo that ends up becoming a baby a full-term baby this is

[16:31]one second as soon as the baby is born do they have

[16:32]to worry about where they're going to get the food from no

[16:35]because the body of the mother suddenly it becomes a machine that

[16:40]produces milk subhanallah and this is also where we are a hundred

[16:46]percent reliant on Allah third an infant a toddler the toddler Allah

[16:54]sends them their nutrition he says and the affection through placing the

[17:02]love in the parents and the parents heart that goes directly to

[17:05]the child and then he says but once this person grows older

[17:08]and the womb as soon as they were born they had talakun

[17:13]when they were children they had to once you become bothers you

[17:18]become older you start worrying where am I going to get my

[17:20]risk from where am I going to get my money from where

[17:23]where's this coming from we start stressing out over things that we

[17:26]do not need to stress out because Allah has been giving us

[17:29]our whole existence Allah has been providing for us but now suddenly

[17:34]we think that we're all on our own so this is one

[17:37]of the first benefits of tawakun it makes you live stress-free makes

[17:41]you remove that anxiety that you might have second Allah tells us

[17:53]you want to be loved by God then you have to have

[17:58]faith in God and you have to have Reliance in Allah and

[18:01]when Allah loves you that means Allah will give you and give

[18:07]you and give you that means your love for God will also

[18:12]increase we need to have faith in God and that faith that

[18:16]call it is translated through our actions he says there's a Hadith

[18:25]Imam he says that there was a man from bani Israel from

[18:29]the Israelites where this man he was a hard worker but he

[18:33]wasn't making a lot of income he was poor he wasn't doing

[18:36]he wasn't very well off one day his wife comes to him

[18:40]and she tells him we don't have anything to eat today so

[18:42]she tells him do you have any money he says I don't

[18:46]have anything so she goes and she knits she makes something she

[18:49]she knits something and it has and she goes and she doesn't

[18:53]go and sell this in the market see if you could bring

[18:57]us some food so he takes it that object that the wife

[19:00]made probably a shirt or something he goes to the markets he

[19:05]sees the market is closed so he goes to the fish market

[19:07]and he sees that the fish market is also closed there's one

[19:12]fisherman he has two pieces of fish and they look very rotten

[19:16]they look very old but they're dying out of hunger they don't

[19:20]have anything so he goes and he trades that object that his

[19:23]wife made and he brings these two fish he comes home his

[19:27]wife looks at the fish she says this is what you brought

[19:32]this is we can't eat this this doesn't look like a good

[19:34]fish he tells her this is the only thing that was out

[19:37]there do see what you can do see what you can do

[19:39]with it and on the side that says she goes and she

[19:42]cuts open the stomach of the fish and she finds a pearl

[19:48]in each fish and this one there's one Pearl and another one

[19:51]there's another Pearl she comes to him she rushes them she tells

[19:54]him I found these go to the market and trade them he

[19:59]goes and he trades them and he sells each one for twenty

[20:03]thousand Dirhams so he comes back with 40 000 Dirhams a bag

[20:08]of twenty thousand durhams and a bag of twenty thousand dollars in

[20:11]the morning he didn't know what to eat he was so poor

[20:15]now he has all this wealth said he as soon as he

[20:19]came home he sat a knocker knocked on the door and the

[20:23]knocker knocked on the door and the knocker tells him give me

[20:30]from that which God has given you he tells him you see

[20:33]one of those bags there's two bags don't take one he gives

[20:36]one of the bags away his wife she comes and she says

[20:40]what have you done you gave away half of your wealth you

[20:42]gave away half of what you owned he tells her don't worry

[20:46]the same Lord that gave us will continue to give us away

[20:48]again so the Hadith continues and says that that knocker knocked on

[20:56]the door again and he came back and he said I'm giving

[20:58]you back this I'm an angel sent from God to test you

[21:03]to see will you be thankful or will you be ungrateful Allah

[21:08]has seen that you are a thankful person therefore Allah will continue

[21:13]to give you my dear brothers and sisters this is when you're

[21:18]loved by God then Allah will open the doors for you another

[21:24]benefit of talaqun on Allah when you rely on God obviously what

[21:31]will you where will your home be in the next Abode in

[21:33]the world which home will you be you will be in Paradise

[21:38]when you have full Reliance on Allah Allah says [Music] who are

[22:03]they who are those who go to paradise gives them the best

[22:11]reward in Paradise those who are patient and then they say but

[22:15]we rely on God I'm patient but I have full on Allah

[22:21]my dear brothers and sisters another benefit of Allah is that you

[22:29]will see victory in this life before that you rely on God

[22:32]Allah will show you victory in this life before the not only

[22:38]the you will see results in this life is [Applause] it in

[22:49]this life as well and you will see victory we know the

[22:57]story The Beautiful story of prophet Ibrahim Prophet Ibrahim he's gone through

[23:04]so many tests in his life and this is why Ibrahim he

[23:07]reached one of the highest positions in the eyes of Allah he

[23:20]reached the highest position of Imam amongst the prophets one of the

[23:27]earliest tests of Ibrahim when he was still a youth that was

[23:31]when he was in his own City we know the story he

[23:37]went and he breaks the idols he breaks all of the idols

[23:39]except the large one he leaves the ax hanging on the hand

[23:43]of the large one they come and they tell him what happened

[23:45]o Ibrahim you broke he said no ask the idol you worship

[23:49]the idol as the idol he's the big bully so of course

[23:52]they knew that he broke the idol but they knew that they

[23:57]were wronged as well but they decided to burn Ibrahim decided to

[24:00]throw him in Fire and they go and they build a huge

[24:08]fire and Nimrod he he's the king he orders them to build

[24:11]a huge fire a fire so big that when the birds would

[24:15]fly over it they would fall it was so big they took

[24:17]them days and weeks just to gather the wood for that fire

[24:21]and then the Hadith says shaytan he taught them how to make

[24:27]the catapults because they can't come and put him in the fire

[24:30]they have to throw him in the fire so how are they

[24:34]going to throw him in the fire they they they engineer a

[24:38]device to throw Prophet Ibrahim here's the beautiful Hadith says that they

[24:43]have Ibrahim on the Catapult and they throw him in the middle

[24:48]of the air while he's being thrown comes to him he tells

[24:51]him o Ibrahim what do you do you want me to do

[24:54]something for you Rahim says no you I don't need you then

[24:58]Mikhail comes to him another Angel he comes and he doesn't Ibrahim

[25:03]I am the I could move the clouds I could bring the

[25:05]rain what can you what do you want me to do for

[25:08]you then the Hadith says that even the angels were worried what's

[25:14]going on Ibrahim is not saying not saying anything so that one

[25:17]of the Angels tells him then ask Allah ask God to cure

[25:23]ask God to save you Ibrahim replies God knows what's in my

[25:31]heart I don't need to ask when Allah knows exactly what's in

[25:34]my heart then Allah is the one who will take care of

[25:40]me Ibrahim landed in the fire but what happened to them the

[25:46]fire which in its Essence it's meant to burn have you seen

[25:50]a fire that does not burn fire its Essence is to burn

[25:54]Allah says the fire that its Essence is supposed to burn it

[26:03]becomes peaceful it becomes cold and when Allah orders the fire to

[26:10]become cold Ibrahim began to shiver he began to shiver his teeth

[26:14]began to hit against one another because it's cold but then Allah

[26:19]immediately says and also be peaceful for Ibrahim then Ibrahim was at

[26:23]peace they look at him they say Ibrahim was just sitting in

[26:25]the fire this is the result of Quran Allah my dear brothers

[26:30]and sisters when we rely on God we will see Miracles when

[26:35]we rely on God we will see things that we could not

[26:37]imagine in our life but when you rely on God Allah will

[26:43]be there for you another another key benefit from is sustenance sustenance

[26:54]and we also covered this Hadith he says he says if you

[27:22]have the real Reliance on God the way that you're supposed to

[27:27]you will receive the sustenance just like the bird the bird wakes

[27:32]up hungry it leaves it leaves the nest hungry but when it

[27:37]comes back it comes back with a full stomach and it's bringing

[27:40]food to the the baby birds the small birds but what Allah

[27:43]says it says if you really rely on God in the way

[27:47]that you're supposed to then the risk will be sent to you

[27:53]and that way as well the fifth benefit of and Allah is

[27:55]that you are protected from shaytan we need the immunity how do

[28:01]we get this community that immunity comes when we are protected from

[28:06]shaytan and how do you protect yourself from shaytan Allah says does

[28:18]not have Sultan does not have authority over who the people who

[28:27]have faith and the people who rely on Allah now my dear

[28:34]brothers and sisters when we rely on God we will see great

[28:37]things and our life that we will live will be different I

[28:42]will switch to the second very short um foreign foreign foreign in

[30:38]the next two weeks there's going to be an election coming up

[30:44]and there are three proposals that have been proposed the first one

[30:49]it is about something that doesn't really affect us very much it

[30:56]is about the term limits for those who are running for office

[31:01]in Michigan from 14 to 12 if you say yes to it

[31:06]it will go to it will limit the term limits and those

[31:07]who are who are going to who are running for office they

[31:13]have to disclose some of their financial uh information so it's good

[31:17]um the second one I believe is very important and this one

[31:22]it is to preserve the right to vote you preserve the right

[31:25]to vote and there should be no discrimination when it comes to

[31:32]voting there should be no discrimination based on color based on religion

[31:37]based on ethnicity and it is very important that the voices of

[31:42]minorities especially the Muslim voices heard because after all Muslims are paying

[31:47]taxes Muslims are living here and there are some things that you

[31:50]could probably say I don't want to talk about this this is

[31:54]something I don't want to vote on that's up to you but

[31:56]there are other issues there's it's not a single issue ballot there

[32:02]are multiple issues on the ballot and some things you have to

[32:05]voice yes or no on it and especially I believe that this

[32:08]proposal proposition 2 is very important to vote Yes on the third

[32:15]proposition it's somewhat of a controversial one and this is about abortion

[32:21]and the if you were to vote Yes on it then this

[32:26]would make abortion be the norm the hustle meaning that it's allowed

[32:32]unless there's an exception or after the fetal viability meaning after the

[32:41]child can live outside the womb and there is no physical defect

[32:46]there's no mental health issue then the state would not be able

[32:49]to uh to limit it meaning after four or five months the

[32:52]state cannot do something but before that anyone seeking an abortion they

[32:57]would be able to right away and they would go and do

[33:01]an abortion and I don't want to tell you what to vote

[33:06]there's also two sides on this when it comes to Muslims there

[33:08]are some Muslims that say we should not we should not um

[33:12]limit any any freedom minority freedom and don't vote no on this

[33:18]vote Yes on this so that we're not limiting anyone but then

[33:21]there's another view and this view says that if something is Haram

[33:25]then we can't accept it and to make abortion be the norm

[33:32]to make it be acceptable anytime someone wants this is wrong yes

[33:37]from an Islamic perspective there are cases there are times where abortion

[33:42]might be allowed we're not either all the way no or all

[33:46]the way yes if for example if there was a mental health

[33:49]problem if there was a um physical defect and it's going to

[33:55]harm the life of the mother then abortion would be allowed in

[33:59]in some cases but that's not the original rule the original rule

[34:02]is that it's Haram except if there are some exceptions so this

[34:09]is why the majority of the imams and a few days ago

[34:13]uh we gathered there was a gathering of the Sunni and Shia

[34:18]imams in Michigan and the majority of the imams they they were

[34:21]pushing towards voting no for this to yes if if there were

[34:27]exceptions then someone could go and seek an exception to the rule

[34:30]but we would not want to make it something that is the

[34:34]norm and something that is fully acceptable because at the end of

[34:38]the day life has sanctity and it is Allah who gives life

[34:41]and it is Allah who takes away the life and this also

[34:46]goes back to tawak Quran Allah we're talking about a lot of

[34:49]people because of their lack of tawakod because of finances because of

[34:55]problems because of stress because of anxiety they say okay I don't

[34:57]want to carry this responsibility and Allah will make you see Miracles

[35:01]have to look good on God and Allah will bring you the

[35:07]risk and the sustenance to your children to yourself to your families

[35:10]the people of quraish and pre-islamic times they used to kill their

[35:16]own children why because of poverty Allah says don't kill your children

[35:26]out of fear of poverty we will give them rest and we

[35:28]will give Urus as well who's the one who's giving the rest

[35:31]so it is Allah and therefore life should be preserved I wanted

[35:43]to also remind you all once again inshallah December 2nd we're having

[35:50]a fundraising dinner for this newly established organization and we urge you

[35:56]all to please attend when we first opened this a few months

[36:01]ago we thought this was going to be too big for us

[36:02]we thought that there was going to be not many people coming

[36:05]Sundays we have over 80 children registered in the Sunday school and

[36:12]there's barely any space so there is a need to expand there's

[36:17]a need right now we're renting this place there's a need to

[36:19]purchase a place purchase a bigger place that is suitable for the

[36:25]community for the children for the families a community center this is

[36:29]what we aim to have so we urge you all to purchase

[36:33]your tickets we urge you all to invite your friends and to

[36:37]show your support inshallah we will try our best to serve the

[36:40]Muslim Community in this area also another announcement tomorrow night Saturday nights

[36:45]at 7 pm we have a youth bonfire bonfire for the Youth

[36:51]and we will be inshallah here and um we ask those who

[36:57]are 13 and up ages 13 and up there are also other

[37:01]programs being set up for the younger ones we have the Sunday

[37:03]school as well but this one is for the ages 13 and

[37:06]up so that they could have the freedom to ask their questions

[37:09]and make friends with those who who are at their age so

[37:18]please encourage your youth to join us foreign foreign
