[0:07][Music] ill ill [Music] [Music] [Music] m [Music] spe [Music] [Music] allahar
[1:51]allar [Music] ill [Music] [Music] I seek refuge in God the all
[2:51]hearing the all knowing from the accursed Satan in the name of
[2:56]God the most merciful the most compassionate oh pray prise is due
[3:03]to God the first before creation and life and the last after
[3:07]the annihilation of all things he is the all- knowing who does
[3:10]not forget those who remember him does not diminish the reward of
[3:16]those who thank him does not disappoint those who call upon him
[3:19]and does not sever the hope of those who place their trust
[3:24]in him I bear witness that there is no deity but God
[3:28]alone without any partner and I bear witness that Muhammad S wasam
[3:33]is his servant and messenger he sent him with guidance and the
[3:37]religion of Truth to make it Prevail over all religions even though
[3:44]the polytheist May dislike it oh God send your peace and blessings
[3:48]upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad and bless Muhammad and the
[3:52]family of Muhammad and have mercy on Muhammad and the family of
[3:55]Muhammad in the best way that you have sent blessings bestowed bless
[4:01]thingss and shown mercy upon Abraham and the family of Abraham indeed
[4:06]you are praiseworthy glorious and you do what you will Servants of
[4:11]God I advise you and myself to be mindful of God the
[4:14]almighty to follow his commands and avoid his prohibitions continuing from where
[4:27]I began last week the topic of the must was brought up
[4:30]and I received a lot of questions following the sermon and I
[4:34]thought it would be good to clarify this topic in a bit
[4:39]more detail so I decided to divide the two sermons into one
[4:44]being under the subject of the intellect and te which is accountability
[4:49]and the second one regarding the term must itself so inshah today
[4:53]these sermons will be revolving around these two concepts what is very
[4:58]important for us to understand first of all that when it comes
[5:03]to Islam one of the conditions or the main condition for any
[5:07]person to become accountable in the eyes of Allah subhana wa ta'ala
[5:13]and to be responsible towards obeying religion and listening to religion is
[5:18]that they must have or possess an intellect so if there's no
[5:23]intellect which they refer to as then there's no so let's say
[5:29]there's an individual who's insane who doesn't have the ability to think
[5:35]or behave rationally or properly then this individual is not addressed when
[5:39]Allah subhana wa taala is commanding or prohibiting human beings from doing
[5:44]something so when Allah tells the people pray who is he speaking
[5:51]with who is he addressing this command to or when he tells
[5:54]people do not steal who is this prohibition being addressed to is
[5:59]it to all of humanity or are there certain conditions that people
[6:07]must possess for them to be addressed by this command or prohibition
[6:10]this is what is referred to as te in Arabic in religious
[6:17]language as well so a person becomes a right a person reaches
[6:21]a certain level or age or meets certain conditions to become accountable
[6:26]to become addressed by the Divine commands and Pro prohibitions now for
[6:32]there are three main conditions for a person to become number one
[6:39]is that they must reach puberty anybody below the age of puberty
[6:45]is not a so a child who has not reached that age
[6:48]yet is not addressed by the commands or prohibitions it's not wag
[6:53]for them to pray it's not wag for them to fast it's
[6:56]not wag for them to go to Hajj all these commands are
[7:00]not addressed to an individual who has not reached the age of
[7:06]puberty whether it's a boy or a girl so that's the first
[7:09]condition the second condition Is possessing an intellect a person must possess
[7:17]an intellect must be able to have sanity in order for that
[7:23]command or prohibition or that Divine um instruction to be addressed to
[7:28]that individual so let's say there's an infant who is two months
[7:34]old would God be commanding that infant to when he says pray
[7:41]is God speaking to that infant he not right because the infant
[7:44]does not the infant doesn't possess an intellect where he's able or
[7:47]she's able to understand the Divine command or prohibition so is a
[7:59]condition another example if someone is insane they are not saying individual
[8:04]right some people are born like that they're unable to um they
[8:09]categorize as insane individuals would they be addressed by these commands and
[8:14]prohibition or this Divine instructions they wouldn't either right because they don't
[8:18]have an intellect where they're able to understand what these instructions are
[8:22]so they don't have to pray they don't have to do these
[8:28]waj that Allah subhana T has ordained upon the Muslims so the
[8:30]second condition Is possessing an intellect number one was B reaching puberty
[8:38]number two Is possessing an intellect and the third condition is Al
[8:44]having the ability to perform the ACT which God has commanded you
[8:52]to do right so let's say you know God tells you to
[8:54]pray and you have to be standing up when you do when
[9:00]you begin prayers you say allahar you have to be standing right
[9:04]so let's say you're someone who's injured or you have some kind
[9:07]of you know medical uh a condition where you're unable to stand
[9:11]are you addressed by that command when Allah says pray and do
[9:17]the while you're standing no this is not addressed to you you
[9:20]have another type of instruction that is being addressed to you and
[9:26]that is pray while you're sitting down or pray in the situation
[9:29]or condition that you're able to to there's a different command that's
[9:32]given to you it's not that Allah gives you the command to
[9:37]pray while standing and if you cannot you sit down no there
[9:40]are two different commands because that command while standing cannot be addressed
[9:45]to someone who's unable to stand right it's getting a bit technical
[9:47]it doesn't matter we're not going to talk about this we're going
[9:51]to talk about the often but I just thought I'll mention certain
[9:53]things so you guys can understand uh there's certain details when it
[9:57]comes to the Divine commands and our Scholars paid a lot lot
[9:59]of attention and really studi this in a lot of detail to
[10:05]understand the role of these things when it comes to our relationship
[10:09]with Allah subhana T's rulings and laws so having reached puberty is
[10:15]number one number two Is possessing an intellect and number three is
[10:21]having the ability to perform that action these are the three conditions
[10:25]for a person to become responsible and accountable before Allah when it
[10:31]comes to those Divine commands and prohibition prohibitions or instructions in general
[10:35]now what I'm concerned with mainly is the subject of intellect now
[10:41]I've given a few extreme examples one of them being a child
[10:48]an infant right this we can say for sure does not possess
[10:50]an intellect that allows him or her to understand the Divine instructions
[10:56]right another extreme example is someone who's insane this is these are
[11:02]clear right nobody will discuss these nobody will uh have any dispute
[11:06]regarding this they're clear Cup right anyone who's insane anyone who's an
[11:11]infant for sure they're not responsible they're not to be taken accountable
[11:15]by God they're not even addressed by God he's not speaking to
[11:18]them when he's giving these instructions all right if we have these
[11:26]extremes what about those who are between these two do we have
[11:31]people who have different degrees and levels of intellect or do we
[11:34]say that everyone possesses the same type of intellect everyone has the
[11:41]same ability and capacity to understand this is where the question comes
[11:44]into play if you see the world as black and white he
[11:46]would say that anybody who has a brain who's not insane who's
[11:50]not a child is able to discern truth from falsehood right if
[11:54]you see things as black and white but in reality and according
[12:00]to theith that we we have the imams clearly indicate that the
[12:04]intellect is a gradational reality it has different degrees there's Shades it's
[12:10]not black and white there's Shades of Gray there is it Shades
[12:14]of Gray or Shades of Black probably great yes so there are
[12:21]a lot of Shades in between the black and white right there's
[12:24]a person who has a high level of intellect you might refer
[12:27]to them as a genius or something something of that sort depending
[12:31]on what the society defines as a genius or knowledge or possess
[12:34]or what truth is right you have somebody who naturally cannot grasp
[12:38]certain things it's just a natural disposition inside that individual they're born
[12:43]with a certain intellect and their intellect is weak they might not
[12:48]be individuals who are very good with their brain but they're very
[12:50]good with their hands they're very practical they can build things they
[12:55]can fix things they they serve a certain function in society that
[12:59]another person who requires an intellect cannot serve so there are people
[13:04]who are more brain oriented and there are people who are more
[13:07]like uh work oriented with their hands right so and even within
[13:13]both of these you have different degrees of people you have those
[13:17]who are able to grasp more mathematical issues right like rational Sciences
[13:23]there are people who can study very well but they can't understand
[13:26]math that good they can't understand logic that good but they're very
[13:28]good with memorizing understanding like say biology chemistry some other types of
[13:33]subjects there are other people who are very good in the Arts
[13:37]they're able to draw they're able to imagine they're able to be
[13:40]creative but give them an equation you think these people are very
[13:44]stupid they have no understanding of the world they don't understand nothing
[13:48]and if you belong to this community here you know you think
[13:51]that God sent you this child as occurs to you right because
[13:56]they can't become engineers or they can't become doctors or they can't
[14:00]become lawyers right right but in reality people possess different levels of
[14:03]intellect there are those who have different capacities meaning that they are
[14:07]able to serve different functions in life and then there are those
[14:13]who even within the same field let's say you have five Engineers
[14:15]do these five possess the same amount of intelligence they don't they
[14:23]all different every person has a different capacity so the idea here
[14:28]that we derive from this reality which the Hadith also affirm is
[14:33]that every individual is taken accountable according to the level of intellect
[14:38]that that individual possesses so this is how each person will be
[14:43]asked by Allah subhana t on the day of judgment there's not
[14:48]one General set of questions or criteria that God is going to
[14:52]use to judge everyone equally God will take into consideration the amount
[14:57]of intellect that that individual has had and according to that he
[15:04]will punish or reward that individual so someone might be very attracted
[15:09]to Islam to religion they read about it they want to become
[15:15]very religious they start praying they start fasting they read a lot
[15:19]of Hadi and books but there's a certain limit that they reach
[15:21]they can't they can't go beyond it Allah will not expect that
[15:28]person or not judge that person the same way he would judge
[15:33]an individual who has that capacity to reach much more deeper levels
[15:37]in religion it's all according to the capacity that you have this
[15:40]is the system of divine Justice he will judge you according to
[15:44]your level of perfection according to the capacity that he gave you
[15:48]not everyone is judged in the same way so if we understand
[15:54]this and we understand that there are different levels and varying levels
[15:58]and degrees of intellect we can understand that not everybody in this
[16:02]world is supposed to be judged in the same way and this
[16:06]is a lesson for us to learn as individuals in society who
[16:09]live with other people we cannot treat everyone to be on the
[16:14]same level if you're having any discussion with an individual you should
[16:18]always try to take into consideration the level of intellect that the
[16:22]other individual has always think does this person have the capacity to
[16:27]understand what I'm saying or are they able ble to delve deeply
[16:32]or as deeply as I have de delved into this topic sometimes
[16:34]you notice it some people are unable to think on the same
[16:37]level as you are and sometimes there are people who think on
[16:41]a higher level than you are and that's supposed to Humble you
[16:43]at the same time if you find someone that thinks on a
[16:47]lower level than you then you shouldn't be arrogant towards that individual
[16:51]you shouldn't you shouldn't be very judgmental towards that individual so this
[16:55]is a condition that we have to keep in mind not everybody
[16:57]is exposed to the same information that's number one and number two
[17:03]not everybody has the same capacity to understand things the same way
[17:08]as other people so the idea of being tolerant of being accepting
[17:11]of other people of being understanding of other people so a parent
[17:14]cannot speak to a child expecting the child to be on the
[17:19]same level of intellect as the parent right you would have to
[17:21]speak to the child according to the child's level and the same
[17:26]thing happens with adults as well you speak with others according to
[17:29]the level of their understanding and this is how the imams were
[17:33]envisioning a proper Islamic Society we have in the Hadi examples where
[17:39]a person used to come to the IM and tell him that
[17:45]there are certain groups of people who have not delved into religion
[17:50]and have not gotten this understanding of will the same way that
[17:54]we did and he was speaking about it in a type of
[17:59]arrogance that we are above his individuals so the IM reminds this
[18:03]individual he tells them that not everybody is given the capacity to
[18:10]go that deep but these people have love for us they have
[18:13]love for the prophet and they have love for the imams and
[18:17]for them this is sufficient in the eyes of Allah subhana wa
[18:20]tala you guys have a deeper responsibility because you're able you have
[18:24]a higher capacity so don't see yourself as better than those just
[18:27]because you've reached a higher level level maybe their capacity doesn't allow
[18:30]them to reach but within their own capacity they've reached the maximum
[18:35]within your own capacity maybe you haven't reached your maximum so in
[18:40]the eyes of Allah those people are better than you even though
[18:43]on the outside it seems like they have less knowledge and less
[18:46]but in reality they were able to perfect themselves to their within
[18:52]their own capacity much better than you have been able to perfect
[18:55]yourself within your own capacity so let's say Your Capacity is you
[19:00]know 100 and the other person's capacity is 50 that person who
[19:05]has half of your capacity reached 45 out of 50 right within
[19:10]your own 100 you've only reached 60 that person is more perfect
[19:17]than you are because they were able to reach their capacity or
[19:19]a higher level of capacity within their own capacity than your than
[19:23]you have so it's very important for us to keep this in
[19:27]mind and it's and from this point I'll move on to the
[19:30]other point inah in the second sermon praise belongs to God the
[20:17]first without a first before him the last without a last behind
[20:24]him behold beholders his eyes fall short of seeing him describers his
[20:29]imaginations are not able to to depict him he originated the creatures
[20:33]through his power with an origination he devised them in accordance with
[20:38]his will with the devising then he made them walk on the
[20:41]path of his desire he sent them out on the way of
[20:46]his love they cannot keep back from that to which he has
[20:51]sent them forward nor can they go forward to that from which
[20:54]he has kept them back I bear witness that there is no
[20:59]God but God Alone with no partner and I bear witness that
[21:03]Muhammad s is a servant and messenger oh God send your blessings
[21:08]upon Muhammad the Seal of the prophets and the master of The
[21:13]Messengers and send your blessings oh Lord upon Ali the commander of
[21:16]the faithful and upon fatimat zah the lady of the wom of
[21:22]the worlds and upon alassan and Al husin the masters of the
[21:24]Youth of paradise oh God send your blessings upon the imams of
[21:27]the Muslims Ali Hussein Muhammed Ali and Ja Muhammad and and Al
[21:37]and Muhammad and may God hasten his reappearance ease his emergence and
[21:46]make us among his supporters and helpers building on the point that
[22:02]I began with in the first sermon we move on to the
[22:03]application of this idea when it comes to our own societies I
[22:08]spoke last week about a concept that is referred to as the
[22:15]one who is deprived the one who is weak in a sense
[22:20]so must comes from the root word these three letters which refers
[22:26]to some form of weakness and we weakness can be something related
[22:31]to different uh things in someone's life you can be weak physically
[22:35]you can be in Weak intellectually you can be weak in society
[22:40]you can be deived maybe your social class is a lower social
[22:44]class weakness can be applied in many different ways now when we
[22:47]come to the Quran and this is what most people asked about
[22:50]last week they were saying that this from the way that they
[22:55]understand it or the way that they've been accustomed to hearing is
[23:00]usually referring to those who are weak in the physical world so
[23:07]mainly referring to some political notion you have a tyrant and when
[23:12]that Tyrant is having using their tyranny against the individuals that individual
[23:18]who's being oppressed is a must and we have a lot of
[23:20]verses that talk about the must within this context yes that these
[23:25]people have been they are weak or they've been deprived in the
[23:30]world you're being oppressed and it's true ironically the word must usually
[23:36]refers to someone who has been deprived or is weak in the
[23:40]physical or materialistic World it does ironically but when we come to
[23:47]the the opposite is true the must in the is mostly used
[23:53]in a different context in the context of those individuals who are
[23:57]weak in their faith meaning not that they're not strong Believers but
[24:03]that they're weak in their faith meaning they have not been able
[24:08]to reach that high level of pet or high level of Faith
[24:10]because they did not gain access to the correct sources or the
[24:13]correct knowledge or information so the is usually referred to as someone
[24:20]who is weak in the sense that they have not been able
[24:25]to reach the truth and I'm going to mention a few a
[24:27]Hadith where the IM clarifies using one verse of the Quran so
[24:33]what the IM does that's the function of the IM the im's
[24:38]function is to take the verses of the Quran and to teach
[24:44]us the correct applications of those verses so Allah subh in the
[24:48]Quran would say right those were must of the men the women
[24:56]and the children the IM takes that and tells us exactly where
[25:03]this is supposed to be applied what does it mean for a
[25:06]man a woman and a child to be and what is the
[25:11]implication of this of this weakness of this deprivation what do we
[25:16]derive from this so the IM tells us that the must in
[25:22]reality is a person who cannot become a disbeliever and cannot become
[25:29]a believer even if they wanted to they don't have access first
[25:33]of all that's one condition the knowledge to become a disbeliever and
[25:38]I'm saying this as someone who actually disbelieves not someone who says
[25:43]I don't know like an agnostic someone who says no there is
[25:49]no God it's impossible for there to be a Creator this is
[25:52]my belief I believe that there's no God to reach that conclusion
[25:57]and to believe in it makes you a disbeliever right so the
[26:04]IM said that the is someone who knows about disbelief but cannot
[26:09]reach disbelief they're unable to reach that they're unable to be convinced
[26:13]that there is no God and another on the other end there's
[26:16]IM but they cannot reach IM either IM is belief so they
[26:25]cannot become Believers nor can they become disbelievers and this is due
[26:29]to a number of different factors one of the factors is that
[26:32]the message itself has not reached them Allah subhana has revealed the
[26:38]message to the prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam through Gabriel right and that
[26:43]had to go through a certain or it had to fulfill certain
[26:48]conditions for it to reach the whole world right it began in
[26:51]Arabia it spread from there but at that time it didn't reach
[26:57]every single individual so during the prophet's time those people who lived
[27:02]outside of Arabia those who were in let's say the area of
[27:04]Russia the area of Africa I'm going to mention like different countries
[27:09]so people don't think like he loves Russia or he loves China
[27:13]or he loves let's see Russia Africa the US South America or
[27:17]America because South Americans they say it's all America why why are
[27:22]you Americans and we're not Americans you got to be very careful
[27:25]nowadays so Americas right everybody in America south or north during the
[27:30]prophet's time they didn't receive the message are they to be taken
[27:33]accountable no because they they personally did not receive it so let's
[27:40]say that someone from the Islamic World left and decided to go
[27:48]on a journey ended up in South America he's a Muslim he
[27:51]fora him it's like who are you what are you doing oh
[27:55]I'm a Muslim there's a message that came from God is this
[27:56]and this and that and that and people decided not to accept
[28:03]this message five people accept it 900 didn't are those 900 responsible
[28:07]are they going to be punished by God because they didn't accept
[28:10]Islam because if you're saying that receiving the message is a condition
[28:13]to make someone accountable well they receive the message someone came and
[28:18]told them hey Islam exists does that make the person accountable it
[28:23]doesn't not just if you just hear about Islam you become accountable
[28:29]no the way the religion is given to you the way the
[28:31]message is given to you is plays a crucial role in determining
[28:38]this and this plays uh there's two main factors to this number
[28:42]one the messenger how they convey the message and number two the
[28:47]person who receives the message going back to the first sermon the
[28:50]prophet's intellect is obviously the highest level of intellect right and the
[28:54]more intellect you have the higher and deeper your understanding of reality
[29:01]is so everyone below the prophet possesses a lower level of intellect
[29:06]right if the prophet was to speak according to his own level
[29:08]of intellect none of us would be able to understand because we
[29:14]don't reach that level and this is why the prophet says about
[29:17]himself that we were commanded by God to speak to people according
[29:24]to their level of intellect and not ours if we were to
[29:26]speak with our level nobody would receive the message and understand it
[29:29]and nobody would be responsible before the eyes of Allah to become
[29:31]Muslim so the prophet as a messenger used to convey the message
[29:36]to the people according to their level of understanding that's why we
[29:40]see if a Shepherd used to come to the prophet or the
[29:43]imams that the IM or the prophet would use the language of
[29:47]the shepherd with that individual the logic of the shepherd if a
[29:50]philosopher came to them they would use the language of philosophy with
[29:54]those individuals they would speak to people on their different levels of
[29:58]intellect they would present Islam in the language that that individual understands
[30:02]so that they can become responsible if a Shepherd comes and they
[30:08]haven't been exposed to The Sciences of logic and philosophy and says
[30:13]you know where do this world come from is there a God
[30:17]and then you start quoting Aristotle and Plato to this guy of
[30:20]course you know it's he's not going to believe in in whatever
[30:23]you're he won't me to understand what you're saying right like what
[30:26]are you talking about it's a whole different language you can be
[30:29]speaking this individual but to him or her it can be a
[30:34]completely foreign language to them why because you're not using the correct
[30:37]language and you think to yourself wait a second I'm very convinced
[30:39]of Aristotle's proofs that there is a first cause how come the
[30:44]shepherd is not understanding it's very clear look at the premises look
[30:48]at the conclusion this guy never heard the word premise in his
[30:50]life before so if you are to speak to that individual like
[30:56]the IM says in one the that how can there be sheep
[31:03]you can see sheep that are together that indicates that there's a
[31:06]Shepherd you don't see just you know sheep uh gathered in one
[31:11]place randomly right anybody who sees that says oh there's a Shepherd
[31:15]around here right so the IM says if if from the Sheep
[31:19]you can understand that there's a Shepherd how can you look at
[31:21]this world and not understand that there's a Creator this is the
[31:24]language that he uses with that individual another individual who comes with
[31:30]rational arguments and proofs the Imam employs rational arguments and proofs so
[31:35]that's the first factor is the messenger himself has to convey the
[31:39]message properly you're speaking to people you have to take this into
[31:43]consideration use their language in order to convey the message of God
[31:47]number two is the individual himself or herself how much are they
[31:52]able to grasp that's a very crucial Factor so not having access
[32:00]to proper teachings of Islam or the proper uh version that people
[32:04]are able to understand especially nowadays might make people not want to
[32:09]accept this religion they don't understand it properly the version that they're
[32:14]given is not the most clear version right because we teach it
[32:17]according to our own understandings we convey it according to our own
[32:21]intellect so maybe perhaps they haven't reached the correct version they come
[32:26]from a different culture and they feel that the is that you're
[32:30]giving them is really a cultured version of Islam you give them
[32:34]a Lebanese Islam an Iranian Islam a Chinese Islam right someone who
[32:38]lives let's say in Africa or someone lives in America that doesn't
[32:42]fit with their own culture so they don't really feel very attracted
[32:45]to it because what they're exposed to is that culture plus the
[32:48]religion and they kind of don't see that they fit into that
[32:53]you don't blame this individual why because the message has not been
[32:56]revealed to them the first condition is not fulfilled the first the
[32:58]condition which is that the message is conveyed properly to them that's
[33:03]not fulfilled and number two they're unable to see beyond the cultural
[33:08]aspects so there's a deficiency on both ends deficien deficiency in the
[33:12]message that was sent and conveying it and deficiency in the individual
[33:16]who is receiving it so the IM when it comes to Cate
[33:19]categorizing individuals he says that these are those individuals who have not
[33:25]had the proper access to religion and therefore were unable to accept
[33:32]it they want to become Believers but they weren't given the message
[33:37]properly to believe in they don't want to be disbelievers that's why
[33:41]they're also they're not convinced about that so and this is the
[33:46]majority of people and they are treated in a different way there's
[33:50]to be tolerated more a person shouldn't be very judgmental just because
[33:53]we have access to the internet and all these books about Islam
[33:56]are out there we think that oh the whole world should convert
[34:00]and the whole world is responsible now that's not true you could
[34:05]have all of this information there and yet not have a lot
[34:07]of people accept this religion because the other conditions are not fulfilled
[34:11]so not having an IM amongst us right now who is a
[34:16]parent also plays a role where most people are not to be
[34:21]taken accountable in this sense you teach them as much as you
[34:23]can but if they don't accept your version of the truth you
[34:26]don't judge them you're responsible to live with them and in in
[34:32]in what they term as tolerance you respect them you speak to
[34:36]them on the same level of dignity and humanity and you're able
[34:41]and you should build relationships with all of human kind because at
[34:44]the end of the day these are the creatures of Allah subhana
[34:48]wa tala and even if they don't share your own belief in
[34:50]reality it is the duty of God to make that belief system
[34:56]reach them we are just actors in this world we try to
[34:58]spread goodness but if someone doesn't take this message the way we
[35:01]convey it we shouldn't judge them in a negative way we shouldn't
[35:05]consider them to be you know their disbelievers they're CED they're impure
[35:09]they're going to go to hell no that's not true these individual
[35:11]who are must they have a different type of accountability on the
[35:15]day of judgment and some of our Hadith indicates that after death
[35:22]they are given another set of Trials or questions had they lived
[35:27]at a time that the Propet was there or the message was
[35:32]conveyed to them according to how they lived God determines whether they
[35:36]were people who would have accepted it or not we don't know
[35:38]the details but God we believe in his Justice he has his
[35:43]own system of doing things right so not being very judgmental towards
[35:46]other people especially living here in the west most of those around
[35:50]us would be M you have to show them kindness you show
[35:55]them Mercy you show them love you show them care and you
[35:57]don't be judgmental towards others even those who oppose you maybe they've
[36:01]received a very distorted version of your belief system they don't mean
[36:05]anything evil or anything bad perhaps if they were exposed to a
[36:11]good version then they would change their mind so always when you
[36:15]speak to people keep this in mind this is how our imams
[36:17]dealt with others especially those who differed with their in their opinion
[36:20]with them they were very tolerant very loving very compassionate and they
[36:24]always took into consideration that perhaps this individual might not have been
[36:29]exposed to the truth and therefore I have to act like a
[36:35]loving father to them someone who has patience humility and willingness and
[36:39]and and um care for the other individual to spread that love
[36:44]to them and the message and if they don't accept it that's
[36:46]fine perhaps there's a deficiency in their intellect perhaps they're unable to
[36:50]accept it the way that it's supposed to be so always make
[36:55]an excuse only a person who's arrogant and we can tell the
[36:59]difference between someone who's very arrogant and you know very hateful and
[37:02]very evil it shows in their behavior and their speech that individual
[37:06]you can disassociate yourself from but everyone else want is to show
[37:11]Mercy love kind compassion and care for them I ask Allah subhana
[37:18]tala to grant us this ability and wisdom to be humble and
[37:21]be able to love his creatures and care for them the way
[37:28]that God cares for them as well Al
