[0:28]m dear brothers and sisters thank you for the brother that recited

[0:43]Quran mashallah that was very soothing and um a very nice recitation

[0:49]may Allah bless him tonight we have come to discuss a very

[1:00]special woman woman that has touched many lives and when I was

[1:08]thinking what should we talk about when we want to discuss lady

[1:11]fatim it was very uh challenging to to come up with a

[1:18]topic but then I thought of the Holy Quran which is our

[1:26]book our guide our source for knowledge wisdom and the Hadith of

[1:34]Al am so tonight I want to shed some light on a

[1:37]beautiful verse and a few beautiful verses of the Holy Quran in

[1:42]a chapter that is dedicated solely for lady fatim how many of

[1:48]you have heard ofah very good so Allah subh says this is

[2:00]a a chapter that has three verses but it is such a

[2:05]rich chapter and it has so many deep beautiful meanings that each

[2:08]and every one of us can learn from and benefit from and

[2:14]and it affects all of our lives and that is because this

[2:17]chapter teaches us the status of f the status of her children

[2:26]the status of woman in Islam and it teaches us also who

[2:33]we should love and who we should hate in this world and

[2:40]the concept of Love is a very important concept and we need

[2:43]to have guidelines so let us start with this chapter Allah subh

[2:48]says in the Holy Quran Allah subhana wa ta'ala who is is

[2:59]he talking to in this in this verse Allah subhana tala is

[3:06]talking to the holy prophet Muhammad sallahu alaih muhamad feel free every

[3:14]time you hear the name of the holy prophet to say salaat

[3:17]you won't be interrupting me we'll be having lots of and coming

[3:27]down on us so let us have a loud muham muhamad so

[3:35]why is Allah subhah waala talking directly to and saying to him

[3:45]okay so we've given you Fatima there are two meanings in the

[3:53]Holy Quran in the in the Hadith means a river in heaven

[3:56]so Allah is telling the holy prophet we've given you a river

[4:02]in heaven and also we know from the Hadith that means what

[4:07]means so what was a significant event that took place that Allah

[4:14]was giving rasool Allah this beautiful news and how does it affect

[4:20]me today well the qur of the time which is the tribe

[4:23]that lived with Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaih wasallam in Mecca they used

[4:29]to ridicule and make fun of the holy prophet why because he

[4:35]had a small boy named ibraim he was 2 years old ibraim

[4:38]died at a very young age when he was only two so

[4:43]they used to come and make fun of the holy prophet and

[4:47]say to him now you have no more lineage your lineage is

[4:50]cut off oh Muhammad you have no value no worth because your

[4:56]son died we all know that during the pre-islamic times the Arabs

[5:00]used to Value the the males a lot more than the females

[5:05]to the point where they used to bury the female children alive

[5:08]so they would make fun of him and say oh Muhammad they

[5:12]never used to call him rasool Allah they would actually try to

[5:15]insult him by saying Muhammad and they would stand outside of his

[5:21]home and when he was in the home they would say hey

[5:22]Muhammad come out and talk to us theno then Allah brought down

[5:29]verses from the from the skies from the heavens telling them he's

[5:32]not an ordinary person don't call him Muhammad he's your Prophet call

[5:37]him y Allah oh prophet of Allah so they used to make

[5:43]fun of him and he became very sad so they said oh

[5:45]you don't have a son anymore Kal your lineage is cut off

[5:50]you have no value oh Muhammad so Allah told him no guess

[5:55]what we've given you am now someone might think and and say

[6:02]to themselves okay so what's the big deal he took his son

[6:07]2 years old and he gave him a little girl a lot

[6:11]of people a lot of women might have a miscarriage right she

[6:14]might lose a boy and then Allah grants her uh another form

[6:19]of sustenance and he gives her a daughter so what's the big

[6:22]deal no he continues and he says so now that I've given

[6:32]you this gift called named I want to explain to you why

[6:40]she so special and that is is because your enemies are saying

[6:44]oh Muhammad that's it your line ends here but I want to

[6:50]give you good news that till the day of judgment ohas Allah

[6:55]your lineage your children will be spread out among uh over the

[7:01]entire world in every single continent in every single country right now

[7:08]you will find what the descendants of fa the children ofam you

[7:16]know the say that we see when we go to the mask

[7:20]like say Hass Kaz may Allah protect him that wear the black

[7:23]amama or some of them don't actually wear the black amama but

[7:29]they are SS they are the children of Fatima they have come

[7:33]from Fatima and IM Ali from their sons Hassan Hussein all the

[7:38]way down right now to our living 12th holy IM IM Muhammad

[7:47]so Allah is telling Prophet Muhammad you have nothing to grieve about

[7:56]so now that I've given you Fatima you should do two two

[8:01]things pray to your Lord give thanks for this beautiful gift and

[8:10]you should sacrifice an Eble or a camel it's very recommended when

[8:14]a child is born to sacrifice a sheep or even if someone

[8:21]has a Bala a trial and things aren't going right in their

[8:23]life you can give money to send money overseas for instance and

[8:27]ask somebody to slaughter a camel on your behalf to remove the

[8:34]hardship or the Bala and take that that meat and pass it

[8:37]out to the poor and feed people for the sake of faat

[8:42]zah anyone who feeds the poor or not even the poor just

[8:45]anybody for the sake of They will receive tons of Baraka blessings

[8:52]Mercy forgiveness guidance from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala so he continues and

[8:59]he says sh is someone who is ridiculing you making fun of

[9:08]you harassing you calling you names these people they they are the

[9:14]ones whose lineage will be cut off right look at the enemies

[9:19]of today their their their remembrance is not spread all over the

[9:24]world you see the their graves they're not they're nowhere to be

[9:31]found so this is the blessing and what we learn from this

[9:36]chapter is something very important that the children of Fatima the S

[9:42]those people that have the honor of saying I am from the

[9:48]lineage of the holy prophet these individuals deserve special treatment yes they

[9:57]are in Allah's eyes blessed but IM Z says with a condition

[10:06]as long as they're obeying Allah and following the footsteps of their

[10:11]grandfathers then we should honor them we should always honor them but

[10:16]guess what there are even stories in history which tell us that

[10:19]people um were in a situation where maybe someone mistreated them from

[10:26]the family of the prophet and then they were taught by that

[10:33]no matter what you should always honor and love my children regardless

[10:40]of the situation so so how does this relate to the concept

[10:53]of love and loving Fatima and loving there is a Hadith how

[11:00]many of you have ever heard the Hadith from Allah who says

[11:03]and why is it important to learn Hadith why do we care

[11:08]about Hadith in 2016 I always like to mention this thank you

[11:12]sister I always like to mention the wise we should always ask

[11:18]ourselves why why should I care about Hadith Quran what's the significance

[11:24]it teaches me where to place my emotions my love it teaches

[11:28]me who to follow who to stay away from so says what

[11:46]does this mean sisters and brothers is saying Fatima is a part

[11:53]of me she's not just my daughter she's a part of me

[11:58]whoever harms her he harms whool Allah and guess what whoever loves

[12:06]her loves s alai wasallam so that means if I want to

[12:14]be a follower of the holy prophet I must know who fatimat

[12:21]zah is I must learn about her love her follow her teachings

[12:27]and know and I want to ask myself this question how do

[12:33]I love show love to F she's not with me how do

[12:38]I show love to her so I could be one of those

[12:39]people who on the day of judgment the holy prophet comes and

[12:44]says yes I want her I want him bring them to Heaven

[12:46]you want meol Allah why because you have applied my teachings and

[12:53]you have loved and shown love to my daughter Fatima and you

[12:57]have stayed away from the enemy of my daughter Fatima I like

[13:03]that Allah teach me how can I be one of those who

[13:04]on the day of judgment you you grab me amongst you know

[13:09]on the day of judgment we're all going to be standing how

[13:12]many of you have ever been to Hajj inshallah we can see

[13:16]most of the hands up soon Haj is a beautiful experience you

[13:18]go to Hajj and you feel like it's the day of judgment

[13:24]everyone's standing there wrapped up in a white piece of cloth on

[13:29]the Sands ofaa looking up into the sky it's a very humbling

[13:32]experience and that's what's going to happen on the day of judgment

[13:37]we will be resurrected and we will stand for Judgment Day then

[13:41]what happens listen to this listen this is such a beautiful Hadith

[13:45]when I read it it made my heart tremble For the Love

[13:51]of fatim muham muhamad try to imagine what I'm about to tell

[13:58]you this is the authentic Hadith Hadith are checked and confirmed by

[14:06]our Scholars Hadith teach us the status of B they teach us

[14:10]everything about our life okay so it says the commander of the

[14:17]faithful ALB said and one day the prophet came to meet Fatima

[14:25]while she was AG grieved meaning she was sad the proph Prophet

[14:29]related to her the events regarding the day of resurrection and he

[14:35]said oh Fatima when you reach the Gate of paradise 12,000 huris

[14:42]shall come to greet you what is a it's a beautiful creation

[14:50]that Allah has created in heaven it's a beautiful woman did I

[14:58]get your attention girls and boys cuz we all want to be

[15:08]on the day of judgment with fa so they will what happens

[15:13]when you reach the Gate of paradise 12,000 hes shall come to

[15:17]greet you they will not have met anyone before you nor will

[15:23]they meet anyone in this manner after having met you they will

[15:26]be carrying dazzling weapons and will be riding upon radiant camels the

[15:32]Saddles of which will be made of gold and red rubies they

[15:37]will be stunned with pearls and each of these camels will be

[15:45]covered with silk brocade heaped with gems oh Fatima when you enter

[15:48]Paradise when Fatima enters Jenna what happens the Dwellers meaning the people

[15:54]that are living in Jenna they will rejoice they will become so

[15:59]so happy at your arrival so you're already in heaven when you're

[16:06]already in heaven it's supposed to be very they say about heaven

[16:13]no eye has ever seen what's in heaven no ear has ever

[16:16]heard about what's going to happen to us in the day of

[16:21]judgment it's something AB above and beyond our imagination that's how beautiful

[16:26]and good it is so you're already in this Bliss but guess

[16:30]what gets better when fa enters Heaven it makes the believer even

[16:39]happier raise your voices in a loud salaat when you enter Paradise

[16:51]oh Fatima the Dwellers Will Rejoice at your arrival and shall bring

[16:56]dishes of food specially prepared for your followers and will be laid

[17:05]down upon radiant chairs they will be they will partake from It

[17:10]While others will be busy in accounting your followers or your Shia

[17:14]will always be given whatever and whenever they desire anything and when

[17:19]the friends of Allah will finally settle down in Paradise all of

[17:26]the prophets starting from Adam and those who came after him will

[17:30]come to greet you oh Fatima muhamad this is f why why

[17:44]has she been given such a wonderful position we should ask ourselves

[17:50]that question she is the daughter of the holy prophet Muhammad sallai

[17:59]wasam I'm sorry M so just because you are a child of

[18:15]a prophet or an Imam it doesn't necessarily mean that you will

[18:20]be granted the same status but what makes f z so special

[18:24]is from the minute she was conceived from a beautiful date piece

[18:31]of fruit from Heaven till she died at 18 years old she

[18:37]was given a lot of blessings and a lot of gifts and

[18:42]she was very special in many ways so Allah subhah waala says

[18:48]in the Holy Quran so we were getting back to a point

[18:59]if I want to know how to love F and how to

[19:06]follow f z and be someone who gets to meet her on

[19:11]the day of judgment there are two very important things to keep

[19:17]in mind number one I must obey Allah at all times and

[19:23]number two I must show love to Fatima by showing love through

[19:30]my ctions to her followers to her children so when you and

[19:36]I are respectful and loving to one another and we express that

[19:41]to one another that is bringing love and uh Joy to the

[19:44]heart of faam now the next part of the discussion before we

[20:02]end that I wanted to bring to your attention regarding lady zaham

[20:09]is her oppression and how she was oppressed because it's very important

[20:16]to know more about that and it is the right upon Fatima

[20:23]has a right upon us and that is is we should know

[20:24]what has happened to her how she has been miss treated and

[20:30]how she has been usurped her rights now anyone that has a

[20:41]status in Islam anyone that has a special standing especially when you

[20:47]come from the family of wasam you must be honored and respected

[20:54]so lady fatim the narrations teach us that that after the death

[21:03]of the holy prophet Muhammad some events took place in history that

[21:09]if rasool Allah was alive at the time it would have caused

[21:15]a lot of pain if he would have seen what happened now

[21:23]after Alam died the same moment of his death actually there was

[21:29]one indiv idual that was he was doing what he was busy

[21:36]with the burial of the holy prophet so imagine if your brother

[21:41]your your your um the commander of the faithful the husband of

[21:48]your daughter your first cousin the Imam after you imagine he is

[21:56]there in his his responsibility is to do what it's to bury

[22:03]the holy prophet and shroud him and ensure that he is buried

[22:07]properly some of the people that considered themselves Companions of the holy

[22:14]prophet what did they do they were busy doing what they were

[22:19]busy gathering in a in a place in a gathering which they

[22:26]called sakif it's very important for everyone here to know about this

[22:30]how many of you know about this story okay so for those

[22:37]that don't know I'd like to shed some light about this some

[22:41]of the people that were considered the companions of the holy prophet

[22:45]during the life of rasool Allah and were with him as soon

[22:51]as he died and while Imam Ali was still trying to shroud

[22:54]him and bury him they were gathering deciding on what who's going

[22:59]to be the leader of the Muslims so this was very insulting

[23:07]IM Ali he did not partake in that because he was busy

[23:14]preparing rasol Allah so what ended up happening was Imam Ali buried

[23:17]the holy prophet some of the Muslims gathered and decided amongst themselves

[23:24]who's going to be the companion the first Imam not Imam the

[23:29]first leader or Khalifa of the Muslims cuz an Imam is someone

[23:36]who's only appointed by Allah subhah wa taala the imite sisters and

[23:40]brothers is divinely appointed that means no matter who you are you

[23:44]cannot come and say I want to be the Imam Allah has

[23:49]to choose you based on the qualifications based on your knowledge your

[23:54]piety your spiritual status by the way the reason why why we

[23:58]love fa Z and it's not because we have any special you

[24:06]know favors that's that we will be getting because of this it's

[24:12]because Allah taught us to love them due to their spiritual status

[24:16]due to how close they are with Allah you know Nabi yusf

[24:19]and na yub yob had 12 uh Sons didn't he but he

[24:26]loved Yousef so much that he pred for Yousef for his entire

[24:33]life when Yousef was taken away from him why what was special

[24:37]about Yousef versus the other brothers of of the sons of yacob

[24:40]Yousef was very high in spiritual status he was God-fearing he was

[24:49]Pious he was knowledgeable he worshiped Allah this is what made him

[24:53]special so this is why we love fa and we love so

[24:58]going back to the oppression of Lady Fatima Alam so the narrations

[25:06]tell us that she was she died either 40 days or 75

[25:09]days or 90 days after the holy prophet died why what happened

[25:16]after the death of rasool Allah a short time later remember how

[25:21]these Muslims or companions were gathering in a place called sakif trying

[25:26]to decide who's going to be the first khif well they went

[25:31]to the house of and the house of IM Ali which was

[25:41]in the the Masjid of rasool and they said to Fatima and

[25:44]Ali oh Ali we want you to come out of the home

[25:50]and pay allegiance to who Abu Bakr who was who was known

[25:56]as the first Khalifa of the Muslims so Imam Ali the first

[25:59]rightly chosen Imam is expected to do what pay Allegiance or what

[26:04]does that mean when you pay you know how in America we

[26:07]say I pledge allegiance to the flag this is what people do

[26:10]he they want him to come and say to Abu Bakr you

[26:15]are my leader so imagine Imam Ali the commander of the faithful

[26:19]someone who was what withas Allah from birth for 30 years all

[26:26]of his life he accompanied him in all of the battle he

[26:29]was the most knowledgeable he was the first one to believe in

[26:34]Islam the first one to to take Islam imagine this individual who

[26:38]was just appointed by Allah the rightfully chosen Imam has to come

[26:43]and say okay you are my Khalifa I will follow you this

[26:49]is the biggest form of Oppression that anyone has to ever partaken

[26:54]so they came to imagine listen to this they came to Fatima

[27:00]zah is home and IM Ali they knocked on the door they

[27:03]said yeah Ali come out of the house pay allegiance to Abu

[27:09]Bakr Imam Ali said I am busy right now compiling the Holy

[27:16]Quran cuz im aliam he took all of the Quran and he

[27:21]he's the one that put the Quran together the way that we

[27:26]have it today the Quran would come down from to IM Ali

[27:31]would write the verses down and after the death of the holy

[27:34]prophet he organized the Quran in the way that it is he

[27:39]said I am busy compiling the Quran I will not leave my

[27:45]home until it is done they said and then Abu Bakr was

[27:48]there Omar was there and some other people that were considering themselves

[27:55]Companions of the holy prophet what did they do they Omar what

[28:03]did he do he called and he said Ali if you do

[28:08]not come out we will burn the house down on you he

[28:12]said we will burn the house these people were the ones that

[28:18]what did they say Ali you are Theif of the Muslims can

[28:30]you imagine these individuals going to the house of Fatima Allah used

[28:37]to come and stand at the door of IM and you know

[28:38]what he used to say meaning verely Allah wishes to remove all

[28:54]filth from you bit and purify you so Omar the second Khalifa

[29:03]and Abu Bakr the first Khalifa stood at the door of fatimat

[29:06]zah and IM Ali and said what if you do not come

[29:13]out and pay Allegiance and call and give us the and say

[29:16]that we are the IM we will burn the house down guess

[29:20]what they told him they said Fatima is in the home fatimat

[29:24]zah the daughter ofas Allah is in the home you know he

[29:30]replied the narrations in the Sunni and the Shia books say this

[29:32]he said so and what if Fatima is in the home I

[29:38]will burn it down and that's when the narrations tell us that

[29:44]Fatima came to the door this is very important see I have

[29:51]this book here I recommend everybody to buy it it's called House

[29:54]of Sorrows it's a whole history of about fatim and see this

[30:01]there's the door here with the fire they literally gathered wood lit

[30:06]the door of Fatima on fire she came to the door before

[30:12]that and she said to them you will never have us pay

[30:14]allegiance to you you are oppressing us after the death of the

[30:21]holy prophet and you will meet my father on the day of

[30:23]judgment and I am dying and I will die upset with you

[30:29]and I am not pleased with you what the what did I

[30:33]say what Hadith did I say so she died angry and upset

[30:49]at the first and second Khalifa of the Muslims he came she

[30:59]came to the door what did they do she stood behind the

[31:03]door not thinking that they would be so vicious and so horribly

[31:13]heartless to her and they pushed the door open on her and

[31:18]they squeezed her be between the wall in the door she was

[31:26]6 months pregnant at the time only 18 years old they squeezed

[31:31]her and she called yah she called her maid FDA help me

[31:40]oh FDA come to me for w they have aborted my baby

[31:46]they say there was a nail in the door this nail pierced

[31:52]the the heart the chest of fatim and she aborted her baby

[32:02]not too long after they say they went in they took they

[32:06]forced him out of the home and she ran after them and

[32:12]said if you do not release my husband the commander of the

[32:18]faithful I will raise my hands and I will pray to Allah

[32:25]against you Salman was there the Comm the the companion he said

[32:29]Fatima if you pray against these people I don't know what will

[32:32]happen God did not send you to be a a curse upon

[32:37]people he sent you to be a mercy Fatima so then they

[32:43]released IM Ali this is fatim zah the oppressed woman it is

[32:49]our responsibility sisters and brothers to learn about the Mistress of the

[32:56]world she died oppressed her rights were taken away for no reason

[33:05]this is the beautiful Beloved the woman that was considered like an

[33:15]Angelic woman this is Fatima and we are the Shia of Fatima

[33:22]and the word Fatima means what her means what sisters and brothers

[33:31]it means someone that follows and loves Fatima her name means that

[33:41]her Believers will be plucked out of the Hellfire for loving her

[33:46]so I leave you with this piece in your prayers after you

[33:52]finish praying you know what you should ask Allah help me know

[33:57]and love Fatima help me understand who Fatima is help me be

[34:03]a follower a lover of her and her children let me honor

[34:08]her as a woman with my hijab with my as a man

[34:12]with the way I treat my family with the way I protect

[34:17]my religion with the way I protect the Imam of our time

[34:21]fatim died having hope that her son the 12 holy IM IMI

[34:30]will come back and ask for her rights Imam Al Mah will

[34:36]come back when he reappears and he will call out I want

[34:43]the rights of my grandfather Hussein who was martyred on the land

[34:49]of carala I want the right of my my mother Fatima who

[34:52]was squeezed between the door and the wall this is what we

[35:01]are waiting for for peace be upon her the day that she

[35:07]was born and the day that she died and the day that

[35:12]she will be resurrected we ask Allah subhah waala to for forgive

[35:28]our sins to guide us on the path of Muhammad Ali Muhammad

[35:34]and to help us have the love of fatimat zah in our

[35:36]hearts and I really urge you that inshallah when the scholar she

[35:45]AMA comes she um yeah Osama right please attend at the Lebanese

[35:50]American Heritage Club inshallah it will be very very important and you

[35:55]will be giving your rights so on the day have judgment when

[35:59]you stand in front of Allah you can Tello Allah Allah I

[36:06]went and I learned about your daughter and I loved her and

[36:08]I cried for her
