[25:11]that Allah subhah wa ta'ala is going to write for him reward

[25:15]for having done for 900 years what sort of for 900 years

[25:28]in which he has been fasting during his daytime and during the

[25:32]night he has been remaining in Vigil performing the to Allah subhanahu

[25:38]wa ta'ala so this is the reward for a person who fast

[25:42]on a Thursday a Friday and Saturday for so what are the

[25:48][Music] four rajab is one of them mam I had Z and

[26:04]so to where easy to remember RAB is the only one which

[26:09]is far away and then we have which are together so in

[26:15]any of these months person who observe fasting for the three days

[26:20]Thursday Friday Saturday the reward is he gets recorded for him for

[26:24]900 years the way he spent his time during the daytime in

[26:30]the fasting and during the night time for the I the night

[26:33]wi so this is that month which is month of rajab and

[26:38]it is an opportunity for us especially tomorrow being the Thursday then

[26:43]the Friday and the Saturday and the great significance for fasting in

[26:47]the month of rajab for we know that the Hadith from IM

[26:56]ja mentions that on the day of there will be a voice

[27:03]which will call out where are theun that is the people of

[27:08]rajab and people will wonder what is this people of Rajun who

[27:14]have been called and they will see a huge group of people

[27:17]separated from the others who will be dressed up in cloth of

[27:25]great what do you say uh Glamour and they will have crowns

[27:28]will be dwelled with rubies and pearls and they will be accompanied

[27:32]by thousands of angels who who also are uh decorated with a

[27:39]lot of grammar and the voice will say take them to go

[27:44]and abide in the heavens in which Gardens and rivers are flowing

[27:48]over there people will wonder who are these Rajun and the voice

[27:51]will say that this is a reward for the fast which you

[27:56]observed in the month of rajab and on top of that we

[28:00]know the B Prophet mentioning regarding the name of the month of

[28:05]rajab how sweet is that River in J whose taste is sweeter

[28:10]than honey and whose color is whiter than milk so these are

[28:14]all the significances and F associated with fasting for the month of

[28:18]rajab and I would also like to draw your attention that there

[28:24]was a companion of our six IM by the name of when

[28:34]there were some few days left of the month of Raj he

[28:38]arrived in the company in the audience of the IM and the

[28:39]IM asked him a question oh Salim have you fasted for any

[28:46]of the remaining days of this month of rajab and Salim said

[28:51]no so the Imam then explain to him with regards to what

[28:53]he has lost and inshallah if you will get some time he

[28:58]look at the last which was distributed for the last Friday where

[29:02]there are more details of that so inshallah is the sh of

[29:08]the month which is associated with M the month in which he

[29:11]would not miss out the fast let's try our best especially for

[29:16]our younger children to develop into them this love for Amir and

[29:20]the love for Amir to be expressed with actions try and observe

[29:25]the fast for these remaining days for the month of rajab whatever

[29:32]we can inshallah muhami Muhammad so just like the English calendar the

[29:45]Common Era calendar which is based on an event from which then

[29:49]the dating is starting likewise our present hij calendar is based on

[29:55]an event and that is the event of Hijra and and from

[30:00]that is when we count our ears for we are now in

[30:02]the year 1445 after Hijra based on the event when the Hijra

[30:07]occurred however prior to adopting the Hijra calendar there were two systems

[30:17]which were in place for being able to count or to dead

[30:19]the ears would anybody be able to remember what was the two

[30:26]systems shall I give a hint one is for what we gathered

[30:36]tonight what is the other event for which I gathered yeah so

[30:43]the event of ba was one of the systems which was used

[30:49]for counting the calendar however prior to because took place in the

[30:56]lifetime of the Prophet when he was 40 years old prior to

[31:01]before the prophet came 40 years to Old there was another system

[31:07]of dating the calendar at that time and that was the system

[31:10]which was based on the event which is mentioned in Surah the

[31:14]AR will F the ear of the elephant so the ear of

[31:20]the elephant took place in the year 570 Common Era that is

[31:23]the year when the prophet was born so from that time is

[31:28]when the dating was started as so for that year was when

[31:36]the dating started for amul all the time when the prophet became

[31:40]40 years old is when instead of amul is now the system

[31:48]of calendar counting B from from the event of started off and

[31:53]that system continued till later on after the event of Hijra is

[31:56]when Hijra was utilized as a standard or a reference for the

[32:01]calendar tonight M alhamdulillah we have gathered to be able to celebrate

[32:09]these two great wonderful occasions which are related not only to the

[32:13]lifetime of the Prophet but they also related publicly to the lifetime

[32:18]of the Muslim umah and this is the event of is and

[32:26]the event of we'll first discuss a little bit with regards to

[32:31]the event of is isra is a word in Arabic which is

[32:37]to convey a message of the night journey and comes from the

[32:42]word Arabic AR which is somebody who ascends or what we would

[32:46]say is a letter so is is the event or the occasion

[32:54]of the journey at Night by our beloved Prophet Muhammad Mustafa from

[33:05]the city of Makkah to madas in Jerusalem and there after this

[33:17]journey from this Physical Realm took a horizontal Journey towards the heavens

[33:22]where Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is mentioning to us in Surah is

[33:29]Surah number 17 glory be to him the one who made his

[33:40]AB made his servant travel in that night Journey that is the

[33:49]most in mea to the farthest mosque which is the mid AA

[33:56]in present City of [Music] Jerusalem the one whose surroundings we have

[34:05]given mu we have blessed and Allah is explaining the purpose of

[34:13]this is so that we may show to him our signs and

[34:18]this mashallah is an indisputable event of History which took place in

[34:24]the lifetime of the prophet and it occurred when the prophet was

[34:30]40 years old and this is a very important occasion in the

[34:37]lifetime of the Prophet where we find that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[34:41]this is which we are talking about is one which took place

[34:48]specifically when Allah subhanahu wa taal took the prophet from mam to

[34:56]the Masid all the way to the depths of the heavens and

[35:03]Allah narrates in the history of the Prophet that the journey to

[35:08]the heavens that is m is one which did not take place

[35:13]once in the lifetime of the Prophet but there are different instances

[35:16]in which it has been recorded the holy prophet was able to

[35:23]go on this journey of M several times during his lifetime so

[35:28]with regards to is we would like to inshallah look at two

[35:35]questions for tonight the first question is with regards to this journey

[35:43]by itself that the journey which was on this horizontal plane from

[35:49]Masid Haram to Masid AA if we were to just calculate that

[35:56]if the journey were to take place by an a ordinary horse

[35:59]back then that Journey would have taken at least 21 days whereas

[36:05]history tells us that the prophet traveled this complete Journey not only

[36:13]from makah mam to Masjid AA even ascending into the heavens and

[36:18]returning back by the same route the time which the prophet took

[36:22]according to the m is that split of that second the time

[36:27]which it takes for the knocker the knocker on the door to

[36:32]move from one right to the left as such so we could

[36:33]say it's just a split second of that that is the time

[36:36]which this journey took place so the question is that how could

[36:40]the holy prophet be able to undertake this huge Journey which is

[36:49]now no longer 1,200 km because 1,200 km is just on the

[36:52]surface of the Earth what about the distance which was covered in

[36:58]the universe in the space over there to the highest level of

[37:02]the heavens and the answer to that is from none other than

[37:06]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in the Quran for Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[37:09]when he tells us inah is subh that glory be to him

[37:20]Subhan to be able to appreciate the word Subhan glory be to

[37:25]him we see that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala when we say glory

[37:30]be to him he is glorified because he is free from all

[37:33]defects he is free from all deficiencies the fact that he is

[37:41]free from all deficiencies and he is free from all effect defects

[37:45]means that he has the power and the capability to be able

[37:48]to carry out things which ordinary human beings would not be able

[37:54]to do so he is free from that restriction of time and

[37:57]space and he utilizes that restriction of time and space to make

[38:02]his beloved AB the prophet to be able to travel in this

[38:07]journey on the land the physical journey and add up to that

[38:13]the journey to the heavens as such but it calls upon us

[38:16]to ask ourselves that when Allah subhah wa ta'ala is telling us

[38:21]sub glory be to Allah he is the one who is free

[38:26]from all defects and deficiencies and he is the one who is

[38:29]able to take his up in that night Journey all the way

[38:37]do we have that y upon the Quran or not if we

[38:43]have that Yen upon the Quran the way we have that Yen

[38:47]on the arrival of the Prophet because none of us have seen

[38:50]the prophet we just rely on History likewise if we have a

[38:56]y on the arrival of the prophet and arrival in the Quran

[38:58]that will respond to the question that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala the

[39:06]way he suspended the laws of heat for ibraim when he was

[39:10]about to be plunged into the fire or when he was already

[39:15]plunged Into the Fire and the fire became a garden for him

[39:18]likewise Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is able to suspend the laws of

[39:23]velocity to suspend the laws of M and to suspend the laws

[39:30]for travel and gravity to enable his AB the prophet to be

[39:32]able to carry out this wonderful marvelous Journey the second question for

[39:48]us to look about with regards to is is to ask ourselves

[39:51]that how essential it is for us to believe in isra does

[39:59]it in any way affect a person if he says I do

[40:04]not believe in this isra I believe in the prophet I believe

[40:09]in what what you say the other miracles of the Prophet but

[40:11]I do not believe in this isra what is the status of

[40:17]this person the answer for that is again to be able to

[40:21]ask ourselves that if a person were to read the Quran and

[40:24]it tells us that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is free from all

[40:26]defects and deficiencies and here he says I do not believe in

[40:31]m is that he is now questioning the power of Allah subhah

[40:34]wa ta'ala so the reply is already there for a person who

[40:39]is doubting the power and is associating defects to the power of

[40:42]Allah subana wa ta'ala there one response to this question with regards

[40:46]to the Iman that it is important for us to believe in

[40:54]this event of is another point of how important it is to

[40:58]our a to our fundamental beliefs is a reply which was given

[41:03]by our e IM Ali in a conversation the Imam said one

[41:20]who denies three things then he's not from us and from those

[41:29]three things the Imam mentioned Al the event which you're talking about

[41:34]so this is responding to that question that it is indeed a

[41:41]very important part of our AA as sh to be able to

[41:46]reaffirm our stance as the Shia and that we do not sleep

[41:48]away from this AA is to believe in this Miraculous Journey of

[41:52]the prophet and that is the Journey of isra may Allah subhah

[41:59]wa taala grant us the inshallah to continue strengthening our and protecting

[42:05]us to be from the Shia of the the second event which

[42:23]we are celebrating tonight is the event of in 1,414 years from

[42:32]today we are now in 2024 so 1, 414 years from today

[42:43]that was in the year five in the year 610 Common Era

[42:50]our beloved Prophet was in a cave in the Mount of H

[42:58]and it was the habit of the Prophet when he was around

[43:01]30 years old till the time when he became 40 years old

[43:08]he would pass a long time to visit the cave of at

[43:10]times it would be for one day at times for 3 days

[43:13]and at times he would stay there for around 40 days period

[43:16]and no one was allowed to visit the prophet when he was

[43:20]in that isolation in that meditation except for his beloved wife on

[43:38]a date like today the 27th of Rab in the year 610

[43:49]Common Era is when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala sends his Angel jibrael

[43:55]Al The Trusted angel to come to the prophet and he delivered

[43:59]the first five verses of the Quran in the and we know

[44:05]the first five verses from the Quran are from where Allah subhah

[44:10]wa taala tells him read in the name of your lord who

[44:18]creates who created who created man from the blood CL read and

[44:31]your lord is Honorable indeed the one who taught the pen and

[44:43]he taught insan the human being what he did not do so

[44:49]this is the commencement of the revelation of the Quran with the

[44:57]first five verses from Surah and thereafter the series of the W

[45:05]continued for 23 years till the year 11 after Hijra to the

[45:09]time when the prophet departed from this world so in that span

[45:12]of 23 years is what we have the collection of the W

[45:19]the revelations which we have today is the compilation of the Quran

[45:23]and at that time it was noted down in the the hides

[45:28]and the Twigs the writing material at that time and at the

[45:32]same time the companions were very particularly advised by the prophet to

[45:37]continue memorizing the Quran which led to the preservation and the authenticity

[45:42]of the Quran which we have till today so this is the

[45:48]occasion the 27th of rajab which we are also celebrating as the

[45:55]day of an Arabic word which is to convey the message of

[46:02]the commencement or the inauguration the formal inauguration of the prophet in

[46:10]his role now to the public as the messenger as the rasool

[46:14]and the Nai and also the commencement of the formal presentation of

[46:22]the W of the Quran so this night the night of of

[46:28]is indeed a night of R for this is the night or

[46:35]the day of is the day when Allah subhanahu wa taala commences

[46:39]the formal revelation of the Quran for the Quran one of his

[46:45]name is a rahma it is a mercy for mankind and this

[46:49]rahma is now passed on in the form of to our beloved

[46:57]Prophet Muhammad must is the he is the mercy for the whole

[47:10]universe which Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala the one who is Alman Alim

[47:17]the most compassionate the most merciful is giving out this great blessing

[47:22]to the whole of the humanity and that is the reason why

[47:28]this 27th night and Eve of rajab is indeed auspicious for us

[47:33]so like we asked the question for is the similar question we

[47:40]ask for the event of or what is the significance and Excellence

[47:48]for the event of the formal inauguration of the prophet and the

[47:55]reply from that is from our ninth Imam where he says in

[48:08]rajab there is a night which is better for people than all

[48:14]the things on which the sun shines so this Hadith is conveying

[48:22]to us a message of the significance of this night by asking

[48:26]us to imagine that this night is better than all those things

[48:31]on which the sun shines imagine if this Earth did not have

[48:40]the sun shining upon it there would be no life so the

[48:49]significance of this night if it were not there the Imam is

[48:53]pointing out this to us I'm paraphrasing the Imam is pointing out

[48:58]to this that this night this night was not there if the

[49:00]27th of rajab was not there is just like if the sun

[49:05]were not there then the Earth would not have life so if

[49:11]this 27th day or the night of Raj were not there then

[49:14]Humanity would not have life so what is it which is giving

[49:21]Humanity life so the Imam continues to say that this night is

[49:25]the night of 27th rajab when the Allah the messenger of Allah

[49:30]was was commissioned on its day whoever from our sh performs theal

[49:38]the devotions of the night gu the reward of Performing Good Deeds

[49:45]for 60 years and then Imam Muhammad explains the various needs to

[49:49]be performed out of one of the de is the Dua which

[49:54]we recited just before the month list another Dua to be recited

[49:58]on the day of performing on the day of and other devotions

[50:02]which can be found in so this Hadith is pointing to us

[50:10]how significant it is for us as Muslim the celebration or the

[50:14]observance of the day of this day of is as significant like

[50:19]the sun for the whole of the earth without without the revelation

[50:25]of the Quran with without the commencement of the inauguration of the

[50:31]Beloved Prophet Humanity would have no life itself of guidance towards the

[50:36]message of coming to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala then in another Hadith

[50:41]our six IM says I adise you do not ignore keeping the

[50:59]fast of the day of the 27th of rajab again emphasis on

[51:06]the fasting for the day of 27th of RAB then he says

[51:11]for it is on this day on which the N was commissioned

[51:15]upon the prophet Muhammad and then he mentions with regards to the

[51:21]reward for fasting on this day of on the 27th day of

[51:25]R again the very and significance with which we had started our

[51:29]MJ in talking about the benefit and the reward for fasting on

[51:33]the day of may Allah subhah wa ta'ala give us thei and

[51:39]help to be able to perform this the the formal inauguration of

[51:53]commencing the road of the prophethood of the Prophet to the whole

[52:01]of humanity was by the Revelation or the commencement of the revelation

[52:07]of the Quran this very Quran which Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells

[52:12]us in this is that book in which there is no doubt

[52:19]about it so we cannot have doubt with regards we Tau about

[52:24]M because there is an Ayah in the Quran the journey is

[52:27]by up the physical Journey so this is a book in which

[52:31]there is no doubt as a book of guide for those who

[52:36]are seeking God Consciousness God awareness of Allah subhana wa so for

[52:42]once imagine if the whole of the umah is now 1,414 years

[52:50]since the Quran commenced its Revelation how magnificent and how change would

[52:58]be the status of the umah if everybody want to follow is

[53:04]a guide for one who wants to achieve ta but when we

[53:12]look around ourselves we find that the stage of the umah has

[53:18]not reached that ideal stage of tawa that ideal stage of God

[53:22]consciousness of God nearness we would find in individuals but can we

[53:30]confidently say that the whole of the umah is now really perfect

[53:33]and reach that stage of God Consciousness and God awareness I personally

[53:44]cannot say yes and why do I say that not that I'm

[53:46]judging anybody from the um as such but I say that because

[53:53]of an Ayah in the Quran the Ayah in the Quran in

[53:58]tells us that the prophet on the day of is going to

[54:03]cry is going to complain mourn to the Allah subhah wa tala

[54:09]what is his cry going to be to Allah on the day

[54:14]of number and the messenger that is our beloved Prophet will cry

[54:24]he will say yah oh my [Music] Lord indeed oh my Lord

[54:36]my people this my community has taken the Quran Mah what is

[54:43]mahura remember the word Hijra the prophet turned away from Makkah to

[54:50]go to Madina the prophet migrated from mecah to go go to

[55:00]Medina the prophet is now complaining Allah this community of mind they

[55:08]migrated away from this Quran this community of mind they turned away

[55:15]from this Quran this community of mind they forsake the Quran so

[55:24]this itself is pointing out to us that the event of with

[55:31]the Revelation commencement of the revelation of the Quran is indeed a

[55:35]very significant point in our lives to be able to ask ourselves

[55:40]how is it that we protect ourselves we prevent ourselves from being

[55:48]in that group upon whom the prophet will be putting that complaint

[55:53]or blame that y this community of mine that this community of

[56:03]mine they took this Quran as a forsaken thing they turned away

[56:12]from it and one advice which we get from not turning ourselves

[56:14]from the Quran is an advice which is given by [Music] it's

[56:33]really amazing was in his final days of Life on this Earth

[56:37]between the 19th and the 21st of Shah Ramadan he had his

[56:45]two children IM Hassan and IM Hussein and he dictated a was

[56:50]to them and in that was he says I adure you I

[57:05]beseech You by Allah I beseech You by Allah with regards to

[57:13]the Quran what is it with regards to the Quran is it

[57:16]the recitation of the Quran is it the preservation of the Quran

[57:20]is it the respect of the Quran is it the of the

[57:27]Quran it is not these basic things which Amir is worried about

[57:30]and telling the people that by Allah by Allah I adjure you

[57:35]I beseech you with regards to matters of the Quran continues to

[57:42][Music] say be careful be careful that others should would not precede

[57:57]you in the Amal with regards to acting upon the teachings of

[58:01]Quran or take you in matters with regards to obedience for the

[58:07]Quran so this is the point for us to be able to

[58:11]prepare ourselves and see that how can we protect ourselves from that

[58:15]blame from Allah on the day of and that is to strive

[58:22]our best and utmost with regards to the matters of the Quran

[58:30]in our life to be living the quranic life in our life

[58:34]to ask ourselves how is it that my 24-hour cycle is being

[58:41]guided with regards to quaning my leaving Islam with the teachings of

[58:47]the Quran let not me be one who just follows with regards

[58:52]toah establish prayers and the S has been prescribed upon you but

[59:01]there are many other things which are also prescribed in the Quran

[59:07]which guide my 24-hour cycle with regards to the matters of the

[59:11]Quran for is worried that let it not be that there'll be

[59:18]others who will precede us who will go forth overtake us with

[59:22]regards to matters of implementing the teachings of the Quran so it

[59:28]calls Upon Us M inshallah to try our best first to be

[59:34]able to at least perfect our recitation of the Quran thereafter to

[59:38]spend time with regards to the translation and the reflection the of

[59:43]the Quran and the same time with regards to the the etiquet

[59:49]of our daily life in line with the teachings of the Quran

[59:52]and so on with regards to our interaction and transactions to be

[59:57]also in fulfillment with the teachings of the Quran so on this

[60:01]night when we have met for being able to celebrate this auspicious

[60:08]and Noble occasion of is the night journey of the prophet and

[60:14]the the Ascension and also with regards to the the occasion of

[60:19]the formal inauguration of the prophethood of our beloved Prophet we pray

[60:25]to Allah subhah waa by the wasil of the Quran itself Ya

[60:29]Allah which you mention is a is a blessing and a mercy

[60:35]for us you are the Rahman and the raheim Ya Allah we

[60:42]pray to you to Grant CHF and to all those who are

[60:44]not in good health and Ya Allah we pray to you for

[60:49]all our from our family members friends and especially for the of

[60:54]sh Grant for the protection of that they continue to guide us

[61:05]in these challenging moments of for the and the the oppressors make

[61:09]all their plans to become null and void and defeated at all

[61:14]times for the M the oppressed ones especially the people of Gaza

[61:19]on this night of is for all the must and Grant them

[61:27]that and for blessed to be from his an and and Ya

[61:35]Allah for all of us who got our and duas and for

[61:40]those who have requested us to remember them in duas Ya Allah
