[0:04][Music] do god states in the holy quran be patient with the
[0:23]judgment of your lord for you are before our eyes and recite
[0:30]the praise of your lord when you rise and at night glorify
[0:40]him and at the receding of the stars let us begin by
[0:46]enlivening our hearts and our minds and our gathering with the remembrance
[0:51]of the holy prophet and his purified progeny muhammad allah when we
[1:04]read the biographies of the righteous men and women who came before
[1:13]us will find that they have one thing in common it clearly
[1:21]stands out as a common feature of all of their lives and
[1:27]that is that they faced many trials and challenges in their lives
[1:34]if we were to take the example of prophet ibrahim abraham alaihis
[1:39]salaam we recall that ibrahim lived during the time of a tyrant
[1:50]namrud an oppressive tyrant that his entire community had turned against him
[1:56]they rejected him and they agreed to catapult him into a huge
[2:05]fire and that he was saved god saved him from this fire
[2:08]and then he was tested by god when god commanded him to
[2:14]leave his wife and his newborn son in a barren valley in
[2:21]a deserted valley to leave them all alone and then he was
[2:28]tested when his baby son grew up and he became a youth
[2:33]god commanded him to sacrifice his son with his own hands and
[2:41]the many other tests and trials and the challenges that prophet ibrahim
[2:45]faced we've read about them and we recall them or the case
[2:54]of prophet noah who was rejected by his community for hundreds of
[3:00]years for hundreds of years generation after generation they rejected him they
[3:08]turned against him that even the closest people to him his family
[3:17]members they rejected him the quran reminds us of his son of
[3:23]one of his sons where he speaks to him and he tells
[3:29]him he tries to convince him to join him before the flood
[3:34]appears yet his son rejects to the point where god tells nor
[3:43]leave him he is not your son he is not of you
[3:49]or the example of maryam mary alaihissalam who was tested with not
[4:01]only bearing a child in an unnatural way but to do so
[4:07]all alone she carried the child and she bore the child all
[4:13]alone with no assistance with no help and then when she returns
[4:20]to her community her community questions her honor and her chastity they
[4:28]accuse her of immoral acts these are very difficult challenges if we
[4:37]think about them brothers and sisters they are various challenges challenges with
[4:44]one's family members with one's closest those who are closest to you
[4:51]with larger society with all sorts of trials and difficulties or we
[4:58]take the example of our prophet muhammad who was tested so many
[5:11]times during his life he was born an orphan he lost his
[5:19]father even before he was born he lost his mother at a
[5:24]young age he then lost the protection of his grandfather he lost
[5:30]the protection of his beloved supporter abu talib and uncle he lost
[5:37]the support of his beloved wife khadija alaihissalam he was attacked left
[5:47]and right his community attempted to kill him to assassinate him repeatedly
[5:53]he was pelted with stones and with rocks and many of the
[6:02]other challenges he lost his sons his own sons and many of
[6:07]the other challenges and the trials that the prophet peace be upon
[6:10]him faced during his life and thus we see that the quran
[6:18]in many places consoles the prophet and encourages the prophet for example
[6:26]in surat chapter number 94 allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala reminds the prophet of
[6:35]three favors three blessings that he has given him in order to
[6:41]console him in order to relieve the burden on the heart of
[6:46]the prophet he tells himself did we not god says did we
[6:59]not expand your chest meaning give you ease give you a greater
[7:04]intellectual and spiritual capacity and we lifted the burden off of your
[7:16]back it was weighing down on you the various burdens that you
[7:22]held not just his personal burdens but also the burdens of conveying
[7:29]the message the prophet is reported to often have wept when he
[7:34]would go to the community and he would speak to them they
[7:38]would reject he would weep not because he was rejected but because
[7:42]he felt bad he felt bad that he was not able to
[7:45]convince the people to come to the truth and to see the
[7:52]truth and this weighed heavily on the heart of the prophet this
[7:55]is why allah tells us in surah taha god says this is
[8:05]a heavy burden that you are carrying on your heart and on
[8:11]your back so god says number two al-amnesque we lifted the burden
[8:18]this is number two and number three and we elevated you in
[8:26]your renown the one who was rejected by the closest family members
[8:33]his friends others around him they rejected him his tribe his clan
[8:40]the community rejected him they oppressed them they placed a siege on
[8:45]them they attacked them allah allah elevated his name so that his
[8:53]name and his message would reach all corners of the globe everyone
[8:59]would hear the name of muhammad and then he tells him he
[9:10]says he reminds the prophet and god reminds us all of this
[9:22]general rule this general divine promise and rule that with hardship comes
[9:29]ease with difficulty comes ease foreign 52 god also consoles the prophet
[9:44]he reminds him of a very important fact this is the verse
[9:49]that i began with god says and bear patient with god's judgment
[10:00]for you are before our eyes god tells the prophet you are
[10:06]before our eyes meaning what meaning that god is watching over you
[10:15]ya rasulullah despite everything that you face remember that god is watching
[10:22]over you that god is protecting you and this same message was
[10:28]given to prophet nooh before when his message was rejected over and
[10:32]over after several hundred years and god decided to bring down the
[10:40]flood he commanded prophet noah he told him now it is time
[10:43]for you to build the ark now the historians and scholars they
[10:49]say that no at the time was located somewhere in iraq or
[10:57]somewhere far away from a body of water and so he began
[11:00]to build this ark this ship in the middle of nowhere some
[11:06]of the commentators of the quran and historians and the traditionalists they
[11:11]say that people his community after having rejected him they would pass
[11:17]by and they would see that no has building a huge ship
[11:18]in the middle of nowhere and thus they would make fun of
[11:27]him they would say look no has gone crazy building a ship
[11:29]in the middle of nowhere there's no water here and this man
[11:33]has decided he wants to build a ship he consoles he says
[11:40]to him don't care about what they say you oh no are
[11:52]under god's watch god is watching god is seeing god is protecting
[11:58]you god is directing you you under you are under god's eyes
[12:02]and god's watch and we are reminded of this message by imam
[12:11]al-hussein history tells us that on the day of ashura after all
[12:20]of his companions and his family members had been killed right before
[12:24]imam hussain goes out he is given his six-month-old child abdullah or
[12:33]ali he is given to ask the enemies for water for him
[12:38]his child is massacred in that brutal way in the hands of
[12:45]his father the reports they tell us that imam hussain he takes
[12:54]a handful of the blood of his infant child and he throws
[13:02]it up to the sky and he turns to allah and he
[13:06]says this tragedy this great tragedy that i'm experiencing now the loss
[13:18]of my baby son what makes this tragedy a little bit easier
[13:22]for me and bearable is that god is watching that it occurs
[13:29]under the watch of god god is watching god is seeing what
[13:33]is happening god is seeing the evil of the evil doers and
[13:37]the sacrifices of those who are on the right path and those
[13:42]who are offering sacrifices for god god is aware of all of
[13:48]this it's not easy brothers and sisters to have such strength of
[13:57]faith it's not easy we relay these stories we recall these events
[14:03]we all know about them but if we stop for a moment
[14:08]and we think about what kind of strength of faith does one
[14:12]have to have in order not to feel completely helpless and hopeless
[14:18]and to surrender when facing such enormous tragedies and trials it's not
[14:26]easy you have to have very strong faith very strong iman in
[14:30]order to be able to do so it is much easier for
[14:37]us as human beings to give up to surrender to feel helpless
[14:44]and hopeless when we face challenges and trials it's much easier especially
[14:51]when these trials and challenges are compounded many people now during the
[15:03]time that we live in right now this age of pandemic we
[15:09]find that some of us or those who we know others the
[15:16]challenges that they face have compounded on top of one another some
[15:22]have become ill they may have lost their jobs they may have
[15:30]lost loved ones they may be having difficulties with family members in
[15:36]their relationships all of it gets compounded and so it's very easy
[15:42]to give up and to surrender in fact just today a few
[15:46]hours ago i heard a report i don't know the accuracy of
[15:50]this report of a man in iraq many of you you know
[15:57]the situation in iraq the situation in iraq in terms of the
[16:00]economy in terms of health care electricity all of the bad things
[16:06]and this is not specific to iraq many other countries in the
[16:08]world but in this case this man he received news in iraq
[16:14]of having covet 19 he ended up surrendering feeling hopeless and burning
[16:22]himself alive taking his own life and then the report says that
[16:30]after he died they found out that the man in fact did
[16:33]not have covet but this shows us that it's easy for some
[16:43]to surrender immediately to give up to feel helpless and hopeless it's
[16:52]not easy to have strong faith and to find that strength in
[16:57]order to endure and to overcome the challenges and the trials that
[17:01]we face in life and so the question that we have to
[17:04]think about is how can we find the strength that is needed
[17:11]in order to endure and to overcome the various challenges that we
[17:18]face in life what do we need to do how can we
[17:24]find and adopt such strength the first point that we have to
[17:29]discuss brothers and sisters is that we have to discuss or distinguish
[17:38]between types of challenges and trials there are those trials those difficulties
[17:44]that we face that we have no control over they are uncontrollable
[17:49]these are one type and the other type are those that are
[17:58]either directly or indirectly the result of our own making when we
[18:07]cause problems and difficulties and challenges for ourselves how through some of
[18:14]the choices that we make through some of our lifestyle choices or
[18:21]the relationships that we choose to engage in for example some people
[18:29]when it comes to their health habits they choose to adopt bad
[18:37]health habits whether it comes to eating or anything else consuming harmful
[18:44]products or what have you they choose to do so and as
[18:49]a result they risk themselves becoming ill becoming sick and so this
[18:57]is a case of someone who either directly or indirectly due to
[19:02]their own choices and lifestyle they cause difficulty and challenge challenges for
[19:08]themselves they become ill they become sick or for instance when it
[19:14]comes to our relationships who we decide to associate with sometimes we
[19:21]find that the friends that we choose to associate with our friendships
[19:27]they cause problems for us they cause challenges for us and difficulties
[19:32]for us or for example when it comes to relationships between spouses
[19:39]or between parents and children certain relationships that end up becoming abusive
[19:44]and harmful there are some people unfortunately in some communities we find
[19:53]that it when it comes to certain relationships abuse abusive and harmful
[19:58]relationships there are all sorts of justifications some people engage in what
[20:06]is known as victim blaming right one of the spouses for instance
[20:12]is the object of abuse is being abused by the other and
[20:16]so the society around or family members they begin to blame the
[20:21]victim they tell him or her the one who is being abused
[20:26]that it's your fault you're not a good spouse you're not a
[20:31]good child you're not a good parent and so on and so
[20:34]forth so there's victim blaming right or there are other justifications that
[20:39]are given so that the person who is abused remains in the
[20:46]relationship there is no justification brothers and sisters there is nowhere within
[20:54]the islamic tradition that justifies abuse of someone else or justifies remaining
[21:01]in a relationship if one is being abused or harmed and so
[21:08]in cases like this the way to overcome this difficulty or challenge
[21:13]when it comes to many of the cases in which those challenges
[21:19]and those difficulties are either directly or indirectly a result of our
[21:25]own choosing and our own making the way to overcome is to
[21:29]change our circumstances is to change our relationships is to seek help
[21:35]granted in some societies in some scenarios it may be either easier
[21:41]or more difficult to change one's circumstances but still we have to
[21:48]do something about it if my friends are harming me if my
[21:53]friendships are causing me difficulties and problems then i change my friends
[21:58]then i do something about it if my lifestyle choices or habits
[22:05]are causing me physical or psychological harm then i have to change
[22:10]i have to change my habits and my choices i think the
[22:17]famous statement it's attributed to einstein i don't know if he actually
[22:23]said it he defines insanity as doing something over and over again
[22:28]but expecting different results so for those difficulties that we face that
[22:37]are a result of our own making we have to do something
[22:40]about it this is number one the other type which are those
[22:46]challenges and trials that we have no control over we don't have
[22:51]control over for these tonight i briefly offer four points for us
[22:58]to consider together number one is that it is important for us
[23:06]to recognize and to trust god's infinite wisdom you see as human
[23:14]beings no matter how great we are no matter how smart we
[23:19]are how intellectual how many degrees we have acquired no matter no
[23:24]matter how much experience we have in life we remain limited in
[23:28]our intellectual our emotional our spiritual capacities our capacities to understand the
[23:38]details of this mysterious world and of god's wisdom in this world
[23:44]if we want to understand how limited we are or limited capacity
[23:50]let's take the examples of blinking and sleeping i was reading that
[23:58]the average human blinks about 29 000 times a day 29 000
[24:08]times a day and that this adds up to spending about 10
[24:17]percent of our waking hours with our eyes shut we're awake but
[24:21]our eyes are shut for about 10 percent of the time that
[24:28]we're awake when it comes to sleeping the average human in their
[24:36]lifetime spends about 230 000 hours of sleep right if you sleep
[24:42]for about eight hours a day some people more or less but
[24:47]on average if you sleep for eight hours a day then you
[24:49]are asleep for one third of your life so if you live
[24:55]to be 75 25 of those years you are asleep you're dreaming
[25:01]you're in a different world so if we are asleep for a
[25:08]third of our lives and 10 percent of the time that we're
[25:10]awake our eyes are shut because we're blinking this tells us that
[25:17]we see the world fragmented god on the other hand never blinks
[25:24]god on the other hand never sleeps so god sees the world
[25:32]whole while we see it fragmented and this is what the quran
[25:36]tells us [Music] that god does not sleep nothing passes by god
[25:55]god is aware of all things by the way since we brought
[26:01]up ayatul kursi ayatul kursi is considered in some of the reports
[26:08]the traditions as possibly being the most important verse of the holy
[26:13]quran in some traditions they tell us that ayatul kursi is the
[26:21]most important verse of the quran and it is known that the
[26:25]recitation of ayatul kursiy it helps in securing physical and spiritual protection
[26:33]for us this is why we're always encouraged to recite ayatul kursi
[26:38]to memorize it and to recite it every time we go out
[26:43]we leave our homes we get into our cars we travel we
[26:46]engage in business we do work to constantly recite ayatul kursiy absolute
[26:56]i remember a few years ago my son was in his early
[27:01]years of elementary school i was driving him to school one day
[27:05]he was sitting back in his booster seat and suddenly in the
[27:13]morning he called out from behind the back seat he said baba
[27:16]who's protecting you god are the angels i told him what do
[27:24]you mean i don't understand what do you mean he told me
[27:29]how many times did you recite ayatul kursi today i told him
[27:35]once he said aha that means that the angel is protecting you
[27:41]but god is protecting me because i recited ayatul kursi four times
[27:47]and you recited it one time he reminded me of the famous
[27:54]hadith that says that the one who recites ayatul kursiy wants god
[27:58]commands one angel to protect them whoever recites it twice two angels
[28:05]are sent to protect him the one who recites it three times
[28:08]three angels are sent to protect him the one who recites it
[28:13]four times god tells the angels move away i will protect him
[28:17]myself and so we're reminded brothers and sisters we're encouraged to always
[28:20]recite ayatul kursi in order to secure our spiritual and our physical
[28:28]protection and the other point to remember brothers and sisters is when
[28:40]it comes to recognizing and trusting god's wisdom and our limited capacities
[28:47]is that it's okay for us not to know everything brothers and
[28:55]sisters of course we all want to know we want to be
[28:58]fully aware of every detail we want to have a level of
[29:04]certainty we want to know everything we want to be alert to
[29:08]everything around us but as believers as a sign of the maturity
[29:16]of our belief is that we are okay to having a bit
[29:24]of mystery in our lives of not knowing in fact this is
[29:28]what the quran reminds us of often allah says those who what
[29:45]those who believe who have faith in the unseen meaning that there
[29:51]are some things they do not see they're not aware of through
[29:55]their sight they do not have total knowledge of but they believe
[29:59]in them they believe in god's higher wisdom and infinite wisdom in
[30:05]another verse allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala says he reminds us god is fully
[30:14]aware and you are human beings you do not know you do
[30:19]not have absolute knowledge of affairs so this is point number one
[30:22]to recognize and trust god's wisdom point number two is this idea
[30:31]that our islamic theologians have reminded us of and have spoken about
[30:36]extensively and it is that god never overburdens us and the quran
[30:47]tells us clearly allah that god never overburdens a soul burdens it
[30:59]with something that it is not capable of overcoming of bearing and
[31:08]so what this tells us is that the quantity both the quantity
[31:12]and the quality of the trials and the challenges and the difficulties
[31:18]that we face in life they reveal to us our capacity to
[31:24]bear them now this might sound counterintuitive to some sallallahu it might
[31:45]sound counter counter-intuitive to some of us right that if we face
[31:52]more challenges more difficulties more trials in our lives this means that
[31:58]our capacity to bear them is greater sounds counterintuitive right but just
[32:04]look at our lives our normal lives the course of our lives
[32:07]when it comes to our education our school our work we find
[32:13]that in school every time that we pass a certain level or
[32:20]at the end of every class or every grade we are tested
[32:23]and those who are successful they pass on to the next grade
[32:26]and so on and so forth with every grade that we move
[32:34]to the type the quality and the quantity of examinations becomes more
[32:37]and more difficult it doesn't become easier becomes harder why because our
[32:43]capacity to engage those trials and those tests our capacity is greater
[32:54]and the same goes for our work the more difficult our work
[32:58]is or the more difficult our level is up in work the
[33:04]more difficult our trials are and so the quantity and the quality
[33:11]of the trials and the tests that we face they reveal our
[33:14]capacity to bear them and we are given the greatest example of
[33:17]this by the prophets and the imams and the righteous that came
[33:22]before us i mentioned in the beginning if you look at all
[33:24]of the great prophets if you look at all of the great
[33:29]men and women who came before us they were tested constantly and
[33:33]each time they were tested with a more difficult test but this
[33:40]revealed their capacity their greater capacity to overcome and to bear these
[33:47]challenges this is point number two point number three is that we
[33:52]have to think about the power of hope in god and dependence
[33:59]on god and that we try to look for and to seek
[34:07]the silver lining when it comes to the challenges that we face
[34:13]to try to look for the positive aspects of the challenges and
[34:21]the trials that we face and i mentioned this yesterday that some
[34:26]studies were conducted where individuals who had lost a loved one they
[34:30]were asked after a year after they had lost their loved ones
[34:34]about whether or not there were any positive aspects to the challenges
[34:39]that they faced and the vast majority of them 85 percent of
[34:43]them said yes and they recognized at least one positive aspect or
[34:51]issue that they experienced since experiencing that tragedy it sort of really
[34:57]depends on our outlook brothers and sisters on the way that we
[35:04]view life it's sort of like when it comes to our life
[35:10]sometimes when you ask someone about their work they will tell you
[35:17]i have to go to work i have to take care of
[35:22]my kids i have to pick up my kids i have to
[35:25]do this i have to do that there's a major difference brothers
[35:28]and sisters between saying i have to go to work and between
[35:31]saying i get to go to work it's just a statement but
[35:37]it changes everything around perspective changes from seeing something as a burden
[35:45]to seeing it as an opportunity and when we are able to
[35:50]look for the positive aspects of life the quote-unquote silver linings this
[35:56]helps us this assists us in building that strength that is needed
[36:01]to overcome our challenges and finally the fourth point is that it's
[36:10]not just about finding strength oftentimes we think about how can we
[36:16]find the strength that is needed to overcome our challenges part of
[36:20]it is finding that strength the other part is creating that strength
[36:26]through god through our relationship with god to create that strength but
[36:32]it requires that we build a genuine a real relationship with god
[36:42]once we are able to build a genuine and a real relationship
[36:48]with god we will find it easier to overcome our challenges the
[36:52]challenges will remain they will not disappear this life is a life
[36:58]of challenges and trials the greatest of men and women that walked
[37:02]on this planet the most pious the most righteous the most religious
[37:08]they were all tested this is a part of life the trials
[37:12]will not end but our strength to overcome them will be much
[37:16]stronger when we are able to build a real relationship with god
[37:21]and this is based on two things one is that it takes
[37:26]time and effort brothers and sisters building a strong relationship with god
[37:31]doesn't come overnight it doesn't happen overnight it requires that we invest
[37:41]time that we invest effort in building this relationship with god and
[37:50]now as an example now during this time of pandemic this is
[37:53]an opportunity for us brothers and sisters many of us sure we're
[37:59]all very busy there's no one that's not busy we're all very
[38:02]busy everyone has their meetings we have zoom meetings one after another
[38:07]we have all of the things that we need to do but
[38:09]some of us because we're not commuting to work because we're not
[38:12]holding social events because of other reasons we have a little bit
[38:18]more time on our hands let's use this time to develop our
[38:22]relationship with god spend time with god reciting the quran contemplating the
[38:28]quran reciting the beautiful duas that we have brothers and sisters i
[38:35]can say with confidence if we were to look at all of
[38:39]the religious traditions around us no religious tradition has the wealth the
[38:46]wealth the treasure chest of duas and supplications more than we do
[38:55]as the followers of just look at the legacies of each and
[38:59]every one of the imams they all have a treasure they have
[39:06]given us a treasure chest a wealth of beautiful supplications and beautiful
[39:13]da'as and we don't have to wait until thursday night to read
[39:16]to akume you can read dua comed at any time you don't
[39:21]have to necessarily recite dua only in the morning you can recite
[39:26]it at any time because there are beautiful meanings in these duas
[39:30]they remind us of what it means to have a genuine relationship
[39:34]with god so we take the time and the effort we invest
[39:37]the time and effort in order to build our relationship and the
[39:43]second point is that this relationship should include all of the doubts
[39:49]and the worries and the fears that we have in fact when
[39:54]we read the duas of the this is exactly what we see
[39:58]we see the imam the infallible speaking to god not just praising
[40:05]god and glorifying god and expressing thanks to god but also revealing
[40:10]to god all of their worries and their fears and their challenges
[40:14]and difficulties take the beautiful example of imam al-hussein on the day
[40:24]of arafah we recited it a few weeks ago this beautiful dua
[40:28]where the imam he expresses not only gratitude to god but he
[40:35]also expresses all of the fears and the worries and the challenges
[40:40]and the difficulties it shows that this relationship is real and i
[40:46]remind myself and i remind you brothers and sisters again when it
[40:51]comes to speaking to god you don't necessarily have to recite the
[40:55]formulaic dua some people they think that their dua is only accepted
[41:01]if they recite it in for instance in fusah right in this
[41:04]particular order no speak to god god understands all languages and all
[41:11]dialects this is what it means to have a real a genuine
[41:17]relationship with god and thus this is how we realize the strength
[41:26]of iman this is why when imam hussain alaihissalam he pronounces he
[41:31]says after experiencing that great tragedy of of the killing of his
[41:40]son in his own hands we realize we realize how the imam
[41:47]is able to say such a phrase because of the strength of
[41:53]his iman the strength of his dependence on god his relationship with
[41:57]god he knows that everything is being seen and perceived by god
[42:04]and so we find this expression of strength of faith and there
[42:12]was another expression of the strength of faith in relation to karbala
[42:17]and ashura and that was of assay the zainab assay the zainab
[42:25]who tradition traditionally will refer to her as uml the mother of
[42:34]distress and calamity why because she experienced all types of calamities on
[42:47]the day of ashura she stood and she saw the massacre of
[42:55]everyone before her eyes one by one for those who have had
[43:03]the honor to visit karbala you notice that next to the shrine
[43:09]of imam hussain there is an area a little hill it's called
[43:11]a telus zainabi it's a little hill and tradition says that assai
[43:15]de zainab she would go there and she would look at the
[43:21]battlefield and so she experienced with her eyes she saw everything she
[43:27]saw the murder of all of the companions one by one she
[43:34]saw the killing of her own sons on the battlefield she saw
[43:40]the killing of her nephews on the battlefield she saw the murder
[43:48]of her brothers on the battlefield each and every one of them
[43:55]and then she experienced captivity she saw the woman and the children
[44:02]running around from tenth to tenth she experienced them being taken captive
[44:10]she experienced the illness of an imam abedin and having to protect
[44:17]him and having to protect the women and the children she experienced
[44:22]all of these calamities one by one and then when she was
[44:30]taken into the court of yazid yazid asks her oh zainab how
[44:36]do you see what god has done to your brother and to
[44:39]your family members she stands proud and with all strength she says
[44:50]i have not seen anything but beauty yazaina what kind of faith
[44:57]and strength do you have to be able to say this but
[45:00]this is zainab she came prepared this is zainab who is full
[45:06]of strength of iman and recognition of her objective she came prepared
[45:13]to kerbella i want to recall for you just one scene of
[45:19]a saint after imam hussain all of his family members they had
[45:28]been killed and they left him he prepared to go out onto
[45:33]the battlefield himself he went to bid farewell to the women and
[45:37]the children and to his sons then he goes out and he
[45:42]calls for his horse a saiyan up she brings him his horse
[45:47]he goes on to the horse he turns towards the battlefield he
[45:51]proceeds towards the battlefield then he hears a sound calling him from
[45:56]behind oh my brother come back he turns around and he sees
[46:01]us say that zainab calling for him he turns and he comes
[46:08]back to her racing towards her she tells him my dear brother
[46:10]i want you to come down from your orders he tells her
[46:16]why zane she says i have one final thing to do he
[46:20]comes down from his horse he proceeds towards his sister zainab she
[46:27]tells him my dear brother hussain i want you to expose your
[46:31]chest for me he exposes his just for her she takes him
[46:35]and she kisses him on his chest then she turns towards medina
[46:40]she says oh my mother i have fulfilled my promise to you
[46:46]allah imam hassan he tells her my dear sister zainab what is
[46:51]this promise that you fulfilled he tells her she tells him my
[46:54]dear brother hussain during the final moments of our mother's life she
[47:01]brought me close and she told me my dear daughter zainab there
[47:06]will come a time when your brother hussein will be all alone
[47:10]in the desert when we he will have no support and no
[47:15]help on that day i want you to convey my regards to
[47:22]him and i want you to kiss him on my behalf [Music]
