[0:12]foreign my dear brothers and sisters i would like to offer my

[0:27]sincerest congratulations to all of you my dear brothers and sisters in

[0:31]this beautiful auspicious occasion the birth of our beloved imam al-imam al-hussein

[0:36]alaihissalam his brother will follow abbas a lady named omel favel who

[1:02]happened to be the wife of the prophet's uncle abbas rabbas was

[1:13]the uncle of the prophet he had a wife named um when

[1:21]fatimat is salaam was a pregnant with imam hussain alaihissalam has a

[1:30]dream in her dream she sees a piece of the prophet's body

[1:39]as a throne into her house she didn't feel good about the

[1:47]dream seeing a piece of the prophet being thrown into her house

[1:51]she was very pessimistic she came to the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam

[2:00]worried about what she saw in her a dream by the way

[2:05]between two parentheses my dear brothers and sisters never misinterpret a dream

[2:10]never interpret a dream in a bad way never if you know

[2:17]how to interpret a dream fine if not do not make up

[2:23]something that is negative because we have a hadith the way you

[2:30]interpret it will be realized it would be interpreted when this lady

[2:37]came to the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam telling him about her dream

[2:42]the prophet peace be upon him smile and inshallah whatever you have

[2:56]seen in your dream is good that the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam

[3:01]put her at ease your dream in fact is a good dream

[3:15]don't panic over your dream your dream means that my daughter fatima

[3:21]will give birth to a baby boy and you will be nursing

[3:29]him you will be nursing him and this is exactly what happened

[3:32]when imam hussain alaihissalam was born his mother did not have enough

[3:42]milk to give him to breastfed him feed him so the wife

[3:48]of the prophet's uncle omel favel having delivered a baby the same

[3:56]time fatima zahara alaihissalam did she was sharing some of her milk

[4:02]between her baby and imam hussain alaihis salah now when we read

[4:09]the biography of imam hussein alaihissalam we see how the prophet was

[4:17]attached to this baby so much so that it is out of

[4:23]the question that this was just a normal relationship between a grandfather

[4:29]and his grandson it wasn't any any ordinary relationship for example when

[4:39]the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam sitting on the member high in the

[4:47]member and the masjid is full there are hundreds and probably thousands

[4:51]of people sitting in the masjid listening to the prophet obviously people

[4:55]were sitting on the floor the door is open and that door

[5:03]was fatima's house her house opens up to the masjid and the

[5:09]door is open and imam hussein a one-year-old boy appears and as

[5:17]soon as he enters the masjid he sees the prophet sitting on

[5:23]the on the member he moves toward his grandfather being one year

[5:31]old barely being able to walk the imam alaihissalam walks few steps

[5:38]and he falls down then he gets up he walks few more

[5:46]steps and then he falls down again all of a sudden all

[5:49]of a sudden muslims watch the prophet himself interrupting his own sermon

[5:58]his own coming down all the way heading toward hussein grabbing hussein

[6:04]from the floor taking him all the way with him to the

[6:08]member making him sit in his lap remember my dear brothers and

[6:15]sisters i mentioned that this morning in the graduation ceremony of the

[6:21]saturday school in the pre-islamic arabic society there was no respect whatsoever

[6:29]for children the society was very hard on kids a man would

[6:39]feel ashamed to kiss his children when imam hussain was hugged one

[6:48]day by his grandfather rasulullah and kissed a chieftain of an arab

[7:01]tribe did not like the view he got disgusted for the prophet

[7:11]kissing his own grandson and he braggingly tells the prophet in i

[7:19]have 10 kids i never kissed any of them why do you

[7:24]kiss this baby the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam gave him the right

[7:31]answer the prophet says to him what do i do to you

[7:39]to fix you when there is no no no mercy in your

[7:43]heart your heart is void of any rahm so for that society

[7:53]that didn't really care much about kids to see the prophet himself

[7:59]coming down of his pulpit taking this baby all the way up

[8:04]making him sit in his lap kissing him hugging him and then

[8:11]the prophet alaihi wasallam explains why he did that allah is right

[8:25]when he tells us in the quran that our money and our

[8:29]children are nothing but a test for us test for us i

[8:38]saw this baby of mine walking and falling down i couldn't handle

[8:44]it i could not handle seeing this baby falling down i had

[8:49]to come down and grab him and take him up and he

[8:54]would hug him and when the prophet is praying while he is

[9:00]doing sujud muslims are following the prophet and the sad in his

[9:05]congregational prayer hundreds of muslims are praying behind the prophet the prophet

[9:11]prolongs his sujud instead of one minute or two minutes it take

[9:19]him five six minutes to finish his jude only and when he

[9:22]finishes the salam muslims inquire about this lengthy so jude the prophet

[9:27]did why it took you that long ya rasulullah was it jibrael

[9:31]who was revealing verses of the quran to you so what happened

[9:42]why it took you so long to finish your sujud the prophet

[9:49]salallahu listen to this this is the prophet that this is the

[9:52]teacher of all muslims this is the role model of all muslims

[9:58]he says he says when i was doing sujud my grandson my

[10:14]son hussein was riding my back i didn't want to interrupt him

[10:21]i kept on doing sujud to allow my grandson enjoy his ride

[10:27]how beautiful the prophet is showing us how to be merciful with

[10:34]our children with our grandchildren not to be rough some of us

[10:41]are truly rough with our children my dear brothers and sisters i

[10:43]have seen it in our own community some people unfortunately become physical

[10:50]with their children the minute a child would do something they abused

[10:56]them physically this is haram this is haram to abuse a child

[11:03]as haram and if you do that whether you're a father or

[11:08]a mother and you leave marks on your child's skin then you

[11:13]have to pay a deer and kaffara make sure you don't do

[11:23]that we do not own our children our children are not our

[11:28]personal belongings they are a gift from allah that we need to

[11:38]handle properly don't ever abuse your kids don't ever become physical with

[11:45]them this is haram the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam tells us that

[11:51]if you promise your child of something don't break your promise with

[11:58]them your kids think that they you are the providers you are

[12:07]the one who sustained them never break your promise with your child

[12:13]in fact if you do you are dealing a big blow to

[12:19]your own credibility if you tell your child if you do this

[12:24]i will buy you that then do it don't break your promise

[12:29]because when you break your promise your child will lose trust in

[12:38]you will no longer believe in you always keep your promise with

[12:45]your children always listen to their concerns don't shut them off when

[12:51]they speak when they are about to share a concern do not

[12:53]tell them shut up i don't want to hear this is one

[12:57]big mistake many of us do in in this community that we

[13:04]think those kids are nothing of us treat us treat them like

[13:08]goats they are not goats our children are beautiful human beings given

[13:16]as a gift to us by allah so the prophet always sets

[13:26]the example but particularly for hussain alaihissalam for imam hussain he had

[13:34]a specialist plays in the heart of the prophet one companion of

[13:39]the prophet abu hurairah ducey he says one day i was walking

[13:45]with the prophet when the prophet was walking in the streets of

[13:52]medina and he passed by a group of children among those children

[13:56]was hussein probably he was two-year-old or a three-year-old when the prophet

[14:04]spotted hussein alaihissalam among those kids the prophet changed direction so he

[14:11]was going straight he changed direction and he moved toward hussein the

[14:18]companion says when hussain noticed that the prophet is coming after him

[14:24]he started run away he started running away and the prophet was

[14:29]running after him hussain runs and the prophet is running after him

[14:34]as if he is having good time with his grandfather this companion

[14:41]says finally the prophet touched imam hussain alaihis he held him he

[14:49]hugged him he kissed him and then he put one hand under

[14:55]the chin one hand or the top of his head and he

[14:58]placed a kiss on the cheek of hussein and then the prophet

[15:04]says the following my lord you know i love this child i

[15:14]ask you to love whomever loves this child this companion of the

[15:22]prophet says for allah he says when i heard that statement from

[15:35]the prophet after the prophet there was no person so loved by

[15:44]me than her saying i loved her saying because the prophet says

[15:52]he loves her saying and he asks allah to love whomever loves

[15:57]hussain my dear brothers and sisters you can tell from day one

[16:01]when imam hussain was born he was being groomed by his father

[16:07]for the big role he was going to play play 57 years

[16:16]later imam hussain was 57 when he was martyred in kerbela but

[16:21]you should know that this journey of shahada grooming him to be

[16:27]the shaheed of karbala did not start the night before rather when

[16:34]imam hussain was born and historians tell us that one day imam

[16:44]the prophet was at home resting when he told his wife um

[16:51]i'm going to my room and i ask that you don't allow

[16:54]anybody to interrupt i want to take a nap um says hussain

[17:01]came to our house he was one year one year and a

[17:08]half and i tried to keep him away from the bedroom of

[17:10]the prophet but you know he's a child he's moving around all

[17:15]of a sudden i lost track of him and he sneaked inside

[17:21]the room of the prophet few minutes later on salama says i

[17:27]hear the prophet crying and weeping out loud and i came rushing

[17:34]to the prophet why is he crying what happened did hussain do

[17:40]something to him when i entered the room i see hussein is

[17:45]sitting on the chest of the prophet while the prophet is laying

[17:51]on his back and the prophet is weeping and weeping and weeping

[17:56]rasool allah my beloved prophet why are you crying may i not

[18:06]see at you at all crying the prophet told um had just

[18:14]came down to me now and he says do you love this

[18:18]child i said of course i love him i adore him he

[18:23]told me ya rasulullah i have bad news for you i said

[18:30]what jibril told me i have bad news for you this grandson

[18:52]of you whom you love and adore will be killed and martyred

[18:56]by a few people who claim to be your followers who claim

[19:03]to be muslims and the prophet says may allah not grant them

[19:11]my intercession and then he gives um salam a handful of soil

[19:18]and he says um this is the soil of karbala the land

[19:24]in which hussein will be martyred um selema kept that soil and

[19:31]she would watch that soil when imam hussain left to karbala she

[19:37]kept on watching and observing that that soil every now and then

[19:41]and in the day of salami learned about the martyrdom of imam

[19:47]hussain when she noticed that that soil had turned into blood and

[19:53]then she realized her saying was killed and that's how people in

[19:59]medina learned about the martyrdom of imam hussain abu father what a

[20:07]great pro what a great brother what a great soldier in the

[20:13]army of imam hussain you know my dear brothers and sisters the

[20:19]following story shows how close al habbaz was to the heart of

[20:23]his brother hussain that when the son of imam hussain ali akbar

[20:28]asked for permission to fight imam hussain didn't say no immediately gave

[20:34]his son as much as he loved his son he gave him

[20:39]the permission to fight but you know what when al abbas asked

[20:42]for permission to fight al-imam al-hussein looks at him with so much

[20:52]sorrow and pain in his eyes and he says to him and

[21:00]why my beloved brother you are the holder of my flag and

[21:15]if you go i will be lost my entire military will be

[21:24]disbanded now remember there was only one soldier at the camp of

[21:27]imam hussein and that was but imam hussain calls that one soldier

[21:33]my army my army will be disbanded if you are gone because

[21:38]that's how imam hussain viewed abu fathbas an army by himself and

[21:47]that's why when you go to karbala my dear brothers and sisters

[21:52]you just repeat words uttered by our grand imam peace be upon

[22:12]you oh you the great servant of god are you the righteous

[22:18]servant of god al-abbas was the righteous servant of god al-imam jaffar

[22:24]sadiq alaihissalam says my uncle abbas has a ranking in heaven that

[22:40]all other martyrs would envy him for it for his heroism in

[22:47]karbala for being willing to sacrifice his life not for his brother

[22:57]rather for his imam yes imam hussain was as a brother but

[23:01]he did not see in hussain a brother only he found and

[23:07]hussain a leader imam he was not motivated by a blood relationship

[23:12]he did not come to karbala because his brother was being fought

[23:21]by umayyad his imam was being fought he found he found his

[23:26]moral duty to support his brother because his brother now is his

[23:29]imam and that's how he should act in support of his imam

[23:48]and as his name implies my dear brothers and sisters he's zayn

[23:55]al-abidine the ornament of all worshippers the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam an

[24:01]authentic and authentic hadith says when it is the day of the

[24:17]judgment a call comes from the throne of allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala where

[24:22]is the ornament of worshipper museum imam ali zainal abedin was the

[24:34]ornament of all worshiper he was a true duplicate of his grandfather

[24:42]he was a true implication of the personality of his grandfather rasulullah

[24:53]a man comes to the to through the imam [Music] there was

[24:59]no obscene word he did not use against the imam everything he

[25:06]knew in his own dictionary he threw on the imam then he

[25:12]started attacking the mother of the imam the mother of the imam

[25:19]and imagine if you were in his place how do you act

[25:24]someone attacking your mother someone attacking the questioning the integrity of your

[25:31]mother and whose mother imam said abedin how do you react how

[25:38]do i react imagine yourself you are that person being attacked by

[25:45]a vicious enemy who is not only attacking you and casting doubt

[25:51]in your integrity rather he is attacking your mother's integrity the imam

[25:58]calmly and peacefully after listening to all those hurtful words from this

[26:07]man the imam replied by two words only the imam looks at

[26:11]him and he says if what you're saying about my mom is

[26:26]true i ask allah to forgive my mom if you're saying about

[26:34]your mom my mom is not true then i ask allah to

[26:39]forgive you that's it that was the end of discussion that was

[26:44]the end of dispute that's how he ends that's how he ends

[26:50]and repels an attack this is the true and genuine teaching of

[27:09]islam dispel evil with good for you will find your most vicious

[27:17]enemy turning into your friend kill him with kindness don't go low

[27:25]to his level rather try to bring your enemy into your level

[27:29]and teach him a lesson my dear brothers and sisters i don't

[27:34]want to take much of your time i would like to one

[27:38]more time congratulate you on this a beautiful occasion i ask allah

[27:41]subhanahu ta'ala to bless you to protect you to protect your children

[27:46]and family members and i ask allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to renew

[27:53]this event again in the future on you and will be able

[27:56]to celebrate this event for years to come may allah bless you

[27:59]wassalamualaikum foreign thank you so much for that wonderful lecture another loud

[28:30]s the next segment of our program includes a poetry presentation by

[28:44]our dear brother nuri sardar brother nuri sardar is a poet and

[28:47]filmmaker and his poetry focuses on the albeit on divine love and

[29:15]we can start with a surah fatah for those souls lost in

[29:19]the bombing yesterday in peshawar the 63 and counting who passed away

[29:36]yesterday in peshawar were killed for two words those are words that

[29:42]we learn in our cradles and words that we take to our

[29:44]graves those are words that help us in every aspect of our

[29:50]life whenever we are going through something whenever we need something we

[29:53]can't help but cry the words ya hussain two words that we

[30:00]say every single day and these words when we say them we

[30:05]see that the universe shakes when we say hussein the universe shakes

[30:10]the stars the planets the apparent and the hidden when we say

[30:15]hussein the tyrants thrown shudders yazids that are long gone in their

[30:21]grave awaken when we say hussein the blood of evil boils because

[30:26]freedom is hated by those who build prisons when we say hussein

[30:32]the earth itself lays flat no doors remain locked for us and

[30:36]all doors open when we say hussain hussein himself hears us and

[30:41]looks at us with loving eyes so proud of his children when

[30:45]we say hussein abbas with no hands builds houses for those whose

[30:50]houses are in ruin when we say hussain imam sajad prostrates and

[30:56]says o allah cure their sick and may their good health return

[31:00]when we say hussein the shadow of zainab sends her salams to

[31:06]the hijab of our woman when we say hussein it is not

[31:14]disbelief when we say hussein it is not disbelief belief is belief

[31:17]when you believe in ya hussain because there would be no islam

[31:21]there would be no quran there would be no house of god

[31:26]and no prostration if hussein did not stand alone in karbala in

[31:29]nowhere with no one with nothing to help him there would be

[31:34]no freedom and there would be no free if hussein had not

[31:36]given all that he'd given so can anyone tell me that the

[31:42]words hussain are not islam can anyone tell me that the words

[31:46]ya hussain are not islam if there is no hussein there is

[31:53]no religion if there is no hussein there is no religion there

[31:57]are two types of people and there are only two types what's

[32:01]the point why say it is the first type of person it's

[32:06]this belief it's what the apostates say it's idol worship it's shirk

[32:10]it's innovation then there's the second type when he hears yah hussain

[32:13]it's as if he's reborn like a mountain unshaken he remembers allah

[32:20]and he remembers islam and because of hussein he bows in submission

[32:26]it's not idol worship your worship is idle if this yahusain in

[32:29]your blood isn't written so never think that the words hussain take

[32:34]you away from god god loves those who love hussein won't we

[32:39]ever learn so i'll say ya hussain and i'll say it till

[32:42]my death my soul will not leave my body with faith that's

[32:48]shaken and if i chose my last words and today i died

[32:54]i'd say ya hussain ya hussain all i want is your intercession

[32:57]yah hussain yah hussain all i want is your intercession can i

[33:08]get a second louder please and the final one in honor of

[33:23]my second and last point in sha allah is for all those

[33:26]in this room who have a hajja have a wish in their

[33:30]hearts something they're going through in life something they need in their

[33:33]lives because we know that these are not just normal days or

[33:35]blessed days obviously as it's the month of sha'an the holy month

[33:39]of ramadan is near to us and we are here to celebrate

[33:41]the heroes of karbala imam hussein and for those who know about

[33:52]abbas is a beautiful door to desires whenever we need anything and

[33:56]we turn toward the door of abbas he'll never leave us astray

[34:01]inshaallah so this poem is for anyone who has a hajja abbas

[34:04]looks at us and he says don't despair don't despair i may

[34:11]not have my hands but i'm here holding onto your hands don't

[34:18]despair i may not have my hands but i'm here holding onto

[34:23]your hands you can find hope when all fails where in the

[34:27]hands of abu father when this world brings you to your knees

[34:31]and in an ocean of worries you suffocate when you're suffering all

[34:37]alone with grief more painful than broken bone hope cannot wait there

[34:42]is a place where exists hope its journey is short level is

[34:48]slope knock on its gate to ensure that despair does not last

[34:52]allah put hope in abu fateh allah is great knock on his

[34:58]door and cry allahu akbar allah made me poor and made rich

[35:03]the flag bearer generosity from its cradle is in the hands of

[35:08]abu father yes allah did create despair yes allah did create despair

[35:15]but like there is ocean yet there is air he made a

[35:19]door a door that is open when all are closed open since

[35:22]khaibro's door was opened a door of cure everything has an opposite

[35:28]when there is grief abbas knows it that's what he's for without

[35:32]being asked he is there granting wishes and soothing despair and so

[35:37]much more he stands tall for the lovers of hussein idols fall

[35:43]while abbas forever remains he is heavenly hope for those in hell

[35:47]found in the hands of abu father he says i am the

[35:52]son of the soul one who stood by ahmed when all ran

[35:55]this is our worth the sons of ali don't return any who

[35:59]come with dreams that they yearn this is our oath we don't

[36:04]shudder for even a moment we seek out what is difficult and

[36:06]we call it forth when once my hands karaballah with yearn my

[36:12]right and my left they fought between them so i gave it

[36:16]both when once my two hands karbala would yearn my right and

[36:21]my left they fought between them so i gave it both the

[36:25]two feathers on my helmet they dream to become birds and fly

[36:29]to those in need can one know me and still be frail

[36:34]so if you have children who are ill or parents not long

[36:39]for this world for abbas call because he says my prayer is

[36:44]like no other prayer when i call out allah he hears he

[36:47]grants me all do not doubt me abu father do not doubt

[36:52]me abu father i make the difficult possible bring me trials when

[36:56]i raise up my handless arms allah himself tells me salaam abu

[37:04]father do not fear if it's not meant to be allah hears

[37:06]and through me better he'll bring there is a door to the

[37:12]lord's will in the hands of abu father he says i am

[37:15]not the son of heider if i don't mend the hearts of

[37:19]shia that are broken i'm no son of uml benin if i

[37:21]don't soothe those who from pain are left shaken i have no

[37:26]hand but take my arm i have no hand but take my

[37:32]arm clench to it tightly with your palm show me your pain

[37:34]we'll fight through it i'll lead the way it will be hard

[37:39]but keep your head high until we've won when my head was

[37:43]raised upon a spear no one would dread because high it would

[37:46]appear the height of virtues and morals are in the hands of

[37:52]abu father together we'll fight through your pain just promise me when

[37:57]it's been slain we'll mourn her saying our father says together will

[38:04]fight through your pain just promise me when it's been slain together

[38:08]we'll mourn hussein because if you are alone or you are lonely

[38:12]know that he died a stranger while thirsty with his child slain

[38:20]in his arm he held his infant with no water to provide

[38:23]him and he'd complain as even his enemy cried he threw ali

[38:27]asghar's blood toward the sky and blood it would rain all trials

[38:33]were made to recall his so strike your chest and i'll strike

[38:38]mine while handless the revival on this tale is in the hands

[38:43]of abu father so don't despair don't despair i may not have

[38:47]my hands but i'm here holding onto your hands you can find

[38:52]hope when all fails in the hands of abu father you can

[38:59]find hope when all fails in the hands of abu muhammad sense

[39:25]brother nuri for those moving and in wonderful lines again let us

[39:32]recite another fatiha on behalf of the victims of last night with

[39:49]us tonight we have our dear brother ali zohairi who will be

[39:53]reciting a moulid in honor of tonight's celebration please help me welcome
