We perform Qunoot (dua) in each of our daily prayers. Here Sheikh Mohammed Al-Hilli discusses 7 questions you may have, such as: What happens if during the qunoot I start crying? Can I turn the ring and make it face me in qunoot? What shall I recite in qunoot? Can the dua (supplication) be in any language? The dua mentioned in the video is: لَا إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ الْحَلِیمُ الْکَرِیمُ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ الْعَلِـيُّ الْعَظِیمُ، سُبْحَانَ اللهِ رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ، وَ رَبِّ الْأَرَضِینَ السَّبْعِ، وَ مَا فِیهِنَّ وَ مَا بَیْنَـهُنَّ وَ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِیمِ، وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِینَ

[0:00][Music] in our prayers it is quite common for you and i

[0:15]to raise our hands to supplicate to the almighty allah subhanahu wa

[0:21]ta'ala in the second rook of our salah this is known as

[0:25]kunut it's not obligatory but of course highly recommended here are a

[0:30]few questions you may have regarding kunut can the dua supplication be

[0:36]in any language well if i recite the quran in a language

[0:40]that is not arabic it does not invalidate the prayer however the

[0:46]purpose of the kunut is not established and hence it's highly recommended

[0:52]that in the daily five obligatory prayers the kunut is actually recited

[1:01]in arabic what shall i recite in kunut you can recite any

[1:07]vikar quranic verse like the salawat don't forget though the quran has

[1:12]a wonderful number of du'as which we can also recite in our

[1:18]knot a recommended dua to recite from the traditions of the bait

[1:22]salam is this you can find this dua at the bottom of

[1:42]the video how should my hands be held in people have developed

[1:51]different ways like for example this or for instance this what is

[1:57]actually recommended in kunot is that we place our hands in front

[2:03]of our face with our palms facing the sky and with both

[2:08]hands kept next to each other and apart from the thumb we

[2:11]should close the other fingers together and look at the palms of

[2:14]the hands like so can i turn the ring round and make

[2:20]it face me and knut sometimes you see people in kunu turning

[2:27]the ring and facing it this is actually not established and should

[2:33]be avoided can i wipe my face after finishing kunot some people

[2:37]do the following when the quran is complete this is actually macro

[2:44]not recommended and should be avoided certainly in obligatory prayers it won't

[2:50]invalidate the prayer however there are narrations from imam assad ali at

[2:56]the same time that encourage this in general supplications but not in

[3:02]obligatory prayers if i forget doing the kunut in salah what can

[3:08]i do since it's recommended and not obligatory there's nothing to worry

[3:14]about however if you wish to obtain the thwab and the reward

[3:18]after you've done the roku and you have forgotten the connote and

[3:21]when you've stood up you can recite the connote then what happens

[3:26]if during the kunaut i start crying if we shed tears with

[3:32]or without sound deliberately due to worldly matters then the prayers become

[3:39]void for example if someone has hurt you or you've lost your

[3:43]wealth or you're begging allah ta'ala for a different president but if

[3:48]it's by mistake or tears due to fear of allah or remembrance

[3:53]of akhir for example or the tragedies of the albeit al-im-salam then
