[0:21][Music] [Music] i welcome to all of you as we resume our
[0:55]biography of the prophet um this class started a few years ago
[1:05]and we covered several important parts of rasulullah's life so allah behind
[1:15]this class is to enhance our knowledge regarding the prophet's biography and
[1:20]so we're shedding light on important or crucial events that happened throughout
[1:26]his life we started by speaking about the incident of the elephant
[1:35]pertaining to abdul muttalib and the unjust ruler abraham we spoke about
[1:45]the prophet's relatives such as abdul muttalib abdullah bin twahab and last
[1:53]but not least of course fatima bint assad who was his uncle's
[1:59]wife and a second mother if you think about it for she
[2:06]used to take care of rasulullah and would favor him over her
[2:13]own sons similar to what umul banina did to imam al-hasan and
[2:18]imam in regards to her own son she used to favor the
[2:23]sons of fatimatazara over her own sons so we spoke about the
[2:30]family members of rasulallah and we covered very important events that happened
[2:36]during the meki period meaning during the time in which the prophet
[2:41]was in mecca last year we stopped at the incidents the first
[2:51]few incidents that happened after migration after he migrated to medina and
[2:56]the last event that we were analyzing was some of you might
[3:08]know that rasulullah did what we call muslim before the migration and
[3:17]after the migration the prophet divided the muslims into groups of two
[3:22]groups of two and he considered that each two individuals who were
[3:30]part of the same group were brothers he considered that each two
[3:36]individuals who were part of the same group were what were brothers
[3:39]so muahat happened twice once before migration and once after migration when
[3:47]he migrated to medina and performed muahat he did so amongst the
[3:55]muhajirin and the ansar meaning he joined the immigrants the people who
[4:01]the muslims who migrated from mecca to medina with who with the
[4:05]ansar with the supporters meaning the muslims who were already in medina
[4:12]the muslims who were residing who were actually residents of medina before
[4:15]rasulullah came to them now what's interesting is and we did mention
[4:22]this in uh previous classes when both uh incidents took place the
[4:32]incidents of muahat uh rasulullah chose to be his brother during both
[4:52]of these incidents of and in this rasulallah was showing the muslims
[4:58]that ali has no equal amongst the muhajarim and amongst the ansar
[5:06]he is greater than them he is better than them hence no
[5:15]muhajiri and no ansari has the right to advance ali during the
[5:20]prophet's time or after his death or ansari has the right to
[5:28]consider himself the master or the imam of ali ibn abi talib
[5:32]it's the other way around ali is the master of the muhajiri
[5:38]and the the last point that we analyzed last year if you
[5:46]remember was who was salman's brother salman in muhammad uh many of
[5:57]you have heard of the famous tradition in which rasulullah says salman
[6:07]is one of us which shows how close salman was to albeit
[6:16]and how great of a person he was indeed he was one
[6:21]of their greatest one of their greatest lovers and followers so the
[6:27]question was who was salman's brother who was salman's brother when looking
[6:34]at islamic history we realize that there was an attempt to stick
[6:42]a particular individual to salman as in there was an attempt to
[6:48]say that a particular individual who was part of muawiyah's team known
[6:54]as abu dharda was salman's brother why was there such an attempt
[7:00]because since abu dharda was working for muawiyah making such a claim
[7:09]that abu dharda was salman's brother would be in whose favor in
[7:14]malawi's favor it would somehow show and indicate that you know what
[7:18]is a good person because is salman's brother and there's no doubt
[7:22]that salman is a good man which means abu dharda is a
[7:26]good man and so since i would that that works for muawiyah
[7:29]should also be what a good man there was such an attempt
[7:33]but the reality is who wasn't the best of people i told
[7:43]you he used to work for muawiyah what else do you expect
[7:46]abu dharda wasn't in reality salman's brother who was salman's brother mentioned
[7:54]in multiple narrations that his brother was none other than abu dharr
[8:01]his brother was abu dharr meaning was paired with salman not this
[8:11]makes sense if we know who was also one of the closest
[8:20]and greatest lovers and followers of allah it's enough to know that
[8:30]salman and abu dharr were amongst the few people and please focus
[8:38]on the word few amongst the few people who actually remained loyal
[8:44]to imam after rasulullah's death which means when the incidents of sakifa
[8:53]were taking place and when the nation backstabbed imam ali salman and
[8:58]abu dharr remained loyal to the imam they never backstabbed him they
[9:01]stood with him and they were ready to sacrifice their lives for
[9:07]imam ali if imam ali commanded them to do so so it
[9:10]makes perfect sense to say that abu dhab was paired with salman
[9:15]not abu dharda especially if we realize that when rasulullah amongst the
[9:27]muslims he would place one individual with another individual who would suit
[9:35]him to a certain extent in his character thus you see for
[9:44]example he paired omar with who with abu bakr he paired umar
[9:51]with abu bakr he paired salman with abu dharr he paired himself
[9:58]with who was that was the last point that we analyzed last
[10:07]year hence today inshallah as we move forward with the prophet's biography
[10:11]we want to shed light on the islam of abhidhar and the
[10:20]islam of salman we hear about their greatness about their virtues etc
[10:24]so today we want to hear what happened when both of these
[10:31]individuals entered islam how did they actually enter islam and since people
[10:36]usually leave the best for last we're going to start today with
[10:40]who with abu dharr because traditions told us that although both of
[10:45]them are great people salman was abu dharr's master salman was at
[10:51]a higher level than abu dharr tradition said that there are 10
[10:57]levels of faith or to be more precise faith is composed of
[11:02]ten levels salman was on the tenth and abu dharr was on
[11:11]the ninth so both were great both are outstanding people but salman
[11:15]was superior to abu dhabi so what happened when they became muslim
[11:19]and how did they actually enter islam the reason we want to
[11:26]mention these stories is that number one these stories carry important lessons
[11:29]for us important lessons and morals secondly they're related to rasulullah's biography
[11:39]so when we study how did abu dharr enter islam how did
[11:44]salman enter islam we're not speaking about a topic that's not related
[11:48]related to the prophet sallallahu alaihi on the contrary it is related
[11:52]to the prophet sallallahu alaihi because they were his companions number one
[11:57]and number two they uh they announced their islam in front of
[12:06]rasulallah so we're going to start with abu dharr how did he
[12:15]enter islam what happened when we go to the book al-kafi we
[12:21]have a long tradition very long tradition uh he mentions it in
[12:32]a chapter called hadith i sent you part of the tradition but
[12:38]i think it's a bit too long in order to be sent
[12:42]as a whole so i'll send you the other parts as we
[12:46]move on inshallah this is the first part if you go to
[12:48]the chat section you can see the first part of the tradition
[12:53]hadith calls one of the chapters of al-kafi the narration of abu
[13:03]dharr he mentions the chain of narrators going back to salman who
[13:10]says that a particular man said that imam abi abdullah meaning said
[13:17]allah the imam told his companions or the people who were present
[13:30]with him he said shouldn't i inform you how islam sorry how
[13:37]salman and abu dharr entered islam here the man said what the
[13:44]man who appears to be the narrator of the hadith there's no
[14:00]need to tell me about salman's islam how he entered islam because
[14:04]i already know it i already know the story i know how
[14:09]he entered islam however inform me how did abu dharr enter islam
[14:15]see the narrator salman he says that man made a mistake when
[14:21]he told the imam alaihissalam when he told him that i know
[14:26]the story of salman you don't need to tell me his story
[14:30]just tell me the story of abu dharr the question is why
[14:34]did he make a mistake why is the narrator considering him to
[14:38]have made a mistake because firstly the imam alaihi salaam was eager
[14:48]to tell his audience both stories the stories of salman and abidar
[14:56]secondly suppose that this man already knew the story of salman who
[15:07]says that he knew the actual story of salman possibly he had
[15:13]heard a false story or a story containing certain forms of falsehood
[15:20]in it in regards to what to salman's islam how he entered
[15:26]islam so what would have been better is to tell the imam
[15:31]alaihis rasulullah go ahead let us hear the story from you in
[15:36]order to verify whether what he has in mind concerning salman's islam
[15:42]is true or not thirdly i want to suppose that this man
[15:50]who told the imam alaihi salam you don't have to tell me
[15:52]salman's story just tell me without a story this man suppose he
[15:57]actually knew the story of salman's islam well there might have been
[16:05]other people in the audience who did not know the story so
[16:08]when he tells the imam just tell me the story of abu
[16:13]dharr he's depriving them of what of hearing salman's story and by
[16:19]the way when we get to the end of the tradition you're
[16:22]going to realize that the man will realize that he has made
[16:27]a mistake he will realize that he made a mistake when he
[16:30]told the imam alayhi salaam you don't have to tell me salman's
[16:34]story focal so the first lesson we we learned from this hadith
[16:39]although the imam has not began narrating the story the first lesson
[16:46]we derived from this hadith is that when the imam tells you
[16:50]shouldn't i tell you x y and zed you should tell him
[16:57]yes rasulullah yes rasulullah tell me tell me whatever you want to
[17:03]tell me called baton mar which is a location close to mecca
[17:21]and he was taking care of his sheep meanwhile as he was
[17:33]taking care of his sheep a wolf came by the right side
[17:39]of the sheep and seemed that the wolf wanted to attack the
[17:44]sheep right so abu and began swinging at the wolf in order
[17:55]to hit it or to scare it so it may leave so
[17:59]the wolf comes from the right side of the sheep when abu
[18:04]dhabi sees the wolf he comes he grabs his staff and he's
[18:08]he starts moving the staff and swinging it so that the wolf
[18:12]leaves here the wolf moved to the left side the left side
[18:23]of abu dhabi or the left side of the sheep and abu
[18:27]dharr again started swinging with his staff towards the wolf so he
[18:31]can push the wolf away i've never seen a wolf more evil
[18:46]and more ruthless than you so the wolf answered realize that animals
[18:58]have their own language correct as in each animal has his own
[19:05]means of communication with uh with his own kind so lions communicate
[19:12]to one another in a specific way excuse me ants communicate with
[19:18]each other in a specific way um although they're insects not animals
[19:23]wolves communicate with each other in a specific way however although each
[19:28]animal and insect has its own language you don't hear an animal
[19:38]or insect speaking human language right language that we understand here in
[19:44]this hadith the wolf spoke in such a way that abu dharr
[19:47]understood what it was saying so it's spoken what in human language
[19:56]this was obviously a miracle allah made this miracle so he can
[20:01]bring a buddha to what to islam so he can make him
[20:04]muslim what did the wolf say [Music] was the wolf said the
[20:27]wolf said there is someone more evil than me who is more
[20:32]evil than him or who's more evil than it the wolf said
[20:35]the people of mecca are more evil than me allah subhanahu wa
[20:42]sent them a prophet and instead of believing in that prophet they
[20:48]neglected his prophet and they did what they swore at him so
[20:54]it's as if the wolf is saying instead of them embracing the
[21:00]prophet accepting his message accepting his commands they neglected his message number
[21:06]one and they went uh they they they began swearing at the
[21:10]prophet sallallahu alaihi understood the words of the wolf again this was
[21:20]a miracle here here abudhar addressed his wife he told her what
[21:34]he told her bring me my miswed what's a miss what am
[21:38]is what is basically a bag that is used to carry provisions
[21:45]to carry specific items one needs especially when he travels so he
[21:52]says bring me my miz what and bring me my what my
[21:56]adawa or idawa which is a tool that a person uses to
[22:02]purify himself especially if he uses the washroom and bring me my
[22:10]stuff what was he intending on doing was intending on going to
[22:15]mecca because he heard the wolf's word and understood it so he
[22:21]knew that there was a major event taking place where in mecca
[22:26]he had to go investigate he had to go and see what
[22:30]was happening was there a prophet a real prophet sent by god
[22:34]subhanahu wata'ala to the people of mecca or not he had to
[22:42]investigate such is the free thinker when someone hears that someone is
[22:50]claiming to be a prophet he cannot neglect that prophet's words that
[22:56]individual's words unless he has actual concrete proof indicating that this person
[23:01]is what is a liar but if he doesn't have actual proof
[23:06]concrete proof indicating this person is a liar he cannot neglect his
[23:13]claim he has to investigate and see is his claim real is
[23:17]his claim true or not is he a real prophet or not
[23:21]here you might ask so does that mean if someone today claims
[23:27]to be a prophet we have to go and investigate and see
[23:32]whether his claim is true or not no you don't have to
[23:37]do that that's not what i'm saying why why shouldn't we investigate
[23:45]and see whether person x or person y who claims to be
[23:50]a prophet in our era is an actual prophet or not i'm
[23:57]saying you don't have to investigate why can someone tell me anyone
[24:18]can you repeat yes so if someone today in our era claims
[24:25]to be a prophet uh i'm saying we don't have to look
[24:30]into his words and investigate and find out whether he's an actual
[24:35]prophet or not we can simply neglect in fact we have to
[24:39]neglect that person's prophethood because it's not real prophethood we have to
[24:46]neglect his claim to be more precise he's not a prophet so
[24:49]we're not neglecting his prophethood we're neglecting his claim we have to
[24:57]disbelieve in him um i agree with that it's because like if
[25:10]you so take a look at society you know you have everybody
[25:13]saying i'm this and that even like on a christian's end it's
[25:17]off topic you have people saying i'm jesus i'm this and that
[25:21]you know so of course you're gonna say well look at your
[25:24]merchants well follow the correct merger we have to see who's the
[25:30]best or we can follow them you know it's like watch upon
[25:35]us is a different story with prophets specifically we should neglect and
[25:42]disbelieve in the person who claims prophethood today why because prophet muhammad
[25:51]informed us that he is the last prophet yeah he is the
[25:56]seal of messengers the quran said it when it said uh muhammad
[26:07]was not the father of any of your men however he is
[26:13]the messenger of allah and the seal of prophets also the prophet
[26:17]said in the famous hadith hadith when addressing him except that there
[26:35]is no prophet after me so once we confirm rasulallah muhammad's prophet
[26:43]with concrete evidence and concrete proof logical and textual proofs and we
[26:53]confirm his infallibility also also through logical and textual proofs or at
[27:03]least logical proofs we have to believe in all of his words
[27:07]since he told us he is the last prophet that means what
[27:12]it means anyone who claims to be a prophet after muhammad is
[27:15]a liar and so you don't have to even investigate about this
[27:22]person's claim whether it's a whether his claim is true or not
[27:28]whether he's a real prophet or not there are no prophets after
[27:34]muhammad so anyone who claims to be a prophet after him is
[27:37]a liar however when abu dharr was alive and he heard the
[27:52]wolf's word at that time had just appeared as in rasulullah had
[28:00]just been sent by allah and there was no previous prophet who
[28:07]had said i am the last prophet so abu dharr had to
[28:11]investigate and find out was there a prophet who was sent to
[28:16]the people of mecca or not so he decided to go where
[28:17]te makka let us continue the tradition just add on to that
[28:23]yes so you know how he said he has to claim the
[28:26]evidence is true but for him to find out if this evidence
[28:29]does exist he has to seek for it yes the prophet says
[28:35]he is the last messenger except we are following the tradition of
[28:40]islam so that means for us to find out more answers in
[28:45]this ever-changing world we have to look into it deeper you know
[28:50]like the evidence that they give us and adam bait the logical
[28:53]and philosophical reasoning like the way you explained it you're saying that
[28:59]we have to look into the teachings of more yes indeed that
[29:07]we do need to carry forward more of their teachings for us
[29:12]to kind of like adapt in this world especially when it's really
[29:20]demanding so we have to look into the teachings of the main
[29:23]point i was making is after confirming muhammad's prophet with concrete proof
[29:30]and evidence and after confirming his infallibility also with concrete proof and
[29:38]evidence that we have to accept everything he says since he told
[29:42]us that there is no prophet after him that he is the
[29:48]last prophet then this will exempt us of uh trying to find
[29:58]out whether the claim of any individual whether the claim of any
[30:02]individual who claims to be a prophet after muhammad is true or
[30:08]not because since muhammad said there is no prophet after me that
[30:15]means anyone who claims to be a prophet after him is what
[30:18]is a liar what's interesting though and i want you to keep
[30:26]this in mind jesus never said i am the last prophet never
[30:32]said i am the last prophet ali walked towards mecca he walked
[30:57]on his feet towards mecca in order to find out whether what
[31:02]he heard from the wolf was true or not finally he reached
[31:13]mecca he kept on walking until he reached mecca when he entered
[31:19]mecca he entered during a hot hour a hot hour by that
[31:31]time a buddha was tired he was exhausted and so he came
[31:35]to the well of zamzam was thirsty so he he pulled out
[31:49]a bucket from zamzam he pulled out a bucket from zamzam expecting
[31:55]to see what expecting to see water right that's what comes out
[32:01]from a well but surprisingly he saw that the bucket was filled
[32:07]with milk not water which was quite surprising when you put a
[32:13]bucket inside a well and you pull it out you should see
[32:18]water milk himself i swear by allah this is a sign indicating
[32:36]this is a sign indicating that the wolf said is true there
[32:46]is a prophet who has been sent to mecca and it also
[32:52]indicates that there is a real prophet yes sent to the people
[32:59]of mecca because he's saying i have come to see whether there
[33:03]is a prophet or not since i've seen this sign this is
[33:07]a clear indication that there is a prophet in mecca this was
[33:12]a second miracle that allah showed up in order to do what
[33:19]to pull him towards islam the milk then he came to one
[33:33]of the sides of the mosque which mosque the sacred mosque al-majid
[33:52]he saw that there were people from quraish who were sitting down
[33:58]in a circle so he sat amongst them only to hear them
[34:05]doing what swearing at the prophet he realized abu dharr realized that
[34:15]this is exactly what the wolf said the wolf said they're swearing
[34:19]at him the people of mecca disbelieved in rasulullah and swore at
[34:24]him when he sat amongst them he heard them swearing they kept
[34:45]on swearing at the prophet salallahu came during the last part of
[35:02]the day during the last part of that day when they saw
[35:10]abu tarib they said what did they say let me send you
[35:14]the second part of the hadith some of them said to the
[35:55]others or to another person amongst them he said what or they
[35:59]said what they said stop talking about muhammad for his uncle has
[36:06]arrived why would they say this because they feared abu talib or
[36:21]to hurt him in his presence he defended rasulullah and protected him
[36:28]if quraish was ever able to hurt rasulallah during abu talib's life
[36:38]would do what abu talib would hurt quraish he would punish them
[36:47]for that deed so he would protect the prophet hence when they
[36:55]saw him they said what stop talking his uncle has arrived so
[37:05]they stopped talking about the prophet alaihi abu talib came to those
[37:10]people and began conversing with them he kept on conversing with them
[37:17]until the end of the day meaning until sunset or until maghrib
[37:19]now one might ask why is abu talib the faithful uncle of
[37:29]rasulallah conversing with these mushrikeen with these polytheists the answer is although
[37:41]he believed in rasulallah and manifested his belief in him verbally and
[37:47]physically in many instances of his life he still practiced an amount
[37:56]of taqiyya with the aristocrats of quraysh why to preserve his status
[38:03]amongst them he was the chief of quraish after abdul muttalib during
[38:09]abdul muttalib's time abdullah was the chief after his death became the
[38:15]chief so in order to preserve his status amongst quraish in order
[38:21]to use that status in rasulallah he would practice an amount of
[38:31]taqiyya with the aristocrats of quraish and would converse with them he
[38:39]would deal with them in a way where it seemed that he
[38:45]was their friend it seemed to a certain extent that he was
[38:49]what he was their friend he did this purposely again why to
[38:55]preserve his status amongst them so he can use that status in
[39:00]rasulallah and through that status he may repel the evil of quraish
[39:07]and protect the prophet sallallahu alaihi so what we're saying is abu
[39:13]tariq did this purposely because if he revealed his enmity towards quraish
[39:22]if he revealed his enmity towards quraish and did not deal with
[39:27]them in a friendly matter whatsoever quraish would have considered abu talib
[39:34]to be one of their enemies just as they considered ali to
[39:39]be their enemy just as they considered hamza and jaffar alaihim as-salam
[39:44]to be their enemy and if they considered abu talib to be
[39:50]their enemy abu talib would have lost his status amongst them by
[39:53]losing his status he wouldn't be able to protect rasulallah anymore using
[39:58]that specific status so this is why abu talib had to practice
[40:03]in the amount of taqiyya with the aristocrats of quraysh although he
[40:11]was a believer in rasulullah and he manifested his belief in him
[40:14]verbally and physically in multiple instances yes sister sofia um i have
[40:24]a question you said that to keep the status to help the
[40:30]uh profit can you give us some examples um how he how
[40:34]did he help the prophet because this is my first time i
[40:40]never did uh the bibliography of the prophet before can you give
[40:45]me some examples how yes um well basically because they knew they
[41:05]knew that if they hurt him in the presence of abu talib
[41:10]alaihissalam abu talib will punish them for that deed so they were
[41:17]scared from him salaam they were scared from him take the example
[41:22]of this narration over here they were swearing at the prophet but
[41:28]when abu talib appeared they said stop his uncle has arrived his
[41:33]uncle has arrived there's another tradition which says that one day they
[41:38]managed to uh throw filth on the prophet prophet was praying sallallahu
[41:45]alaihi uh in the sacred mosque and so they threw filth on
[41:51]the prophet was not around when that happened but this happened during
[41:55]his life so rasulullah went to abu talib and he showed him
[42:00]what the mushrikeen did to him and so was angered as a
[42:05]result what did he do he came to the sacred mosque with
[42:10]hamza when they saw abu talib they were about to run abu
[42:14]talib told them you saying your spots because if you don't i'm
[42:19]going to attack you with my sword so they stayed in their
[42:22]spots then he brought the filth that they used uh on the
[42:27]prophet that they threw on the prophet salallahu and he began placing
[42:31]it on their faces one by one to teach them a lesson
[42:37]telling them that if you ever dare to hurt my nephew in
[42:44]any way or form know that i abu talib will punish you
[42:47]for that now if he didn't preserve his status if he did
[42:57]not practice taqiyya whatsoever with his people and he revealed his faith
[43:02]in rasulallah the same way imam ali revealed his faith or the
[43:08]same way revealed his faith quraysh would have considered abu talib to
[43:13]have become what an enemy so at that point he would have
[43:18]lost his status amongst them once he loses his status he won't
[43:23]be able to use that status to protect rasulallah he might be
[43:30]able to use brute force but other than that he won't be
[43:34]able to um to use any thing to protect the prophet sallallahu
[43:43]alaihi make sense thank you you're welcome the tradition says rose he
[44:09]was about to leave so abu dharr says at that point i
[44:13]rose as well and i followed him he turned to me tell
[44:26]me what is your need what do you need you told him
[44:35]my need is to meet this prophet who has been sent amongst
[44:41]you i want to be i want to meet him he said
[44:46]what do you want to do with this prophet let me send
[44:53]you the second or the third part of the tradition actually it's
[45:03]uh it's in the chat we just have to go down you
[45:13]told him i want to believe in him and i want to
[45:18]tell him that i am at his service meaning i am ready
[45:23]to do whatever he wants whatever he commands me to do i
[45:30]will listen and obey so abu dharr was revealing his obedience towards
[45:36]the prophet and was revealing that he was eager to believe in
[45:40]him if that's the case then come tomorrow at the same time
[46:03]meaning during the last hour of the day so i may take
[46:07]him i may take you to the prophet s in the masjid
[46:29]the sacred mosque when it was morning i sat with who with
[46:36]the people of quraysh unfortunately they continued to do what to swear
[46:48]at the prophet sat with them only to hear them swearing again
[46:52]at the prophet sallallahu alaihi and mentioning him again in a negative
[46:56]manner they kept on swearing at the prophet sallallahu alaihi and mentioning
[47:04]mentioning him in a negative manner until abu talib made an appearance
[47:15]some of them said to others stop talking for his uncle has
[47:23]arrived came and began conversing with the people of quraish similar to
[47:37]what he did a day ago similar to what he did a
[47:42]day ago so he went on speaking and conversing with the people
[47:46]of quran kept on talking to them until he rose when he
[48:02]arose meaning he was about to leave when he rose i followed
[48:08]him and i said salam i saluted him with salam he told
[48:13]me tell me what do you need i let me send you
[48:22]the third part of the tradition i said i want to meet
[48:48]the prophet that has been sent amongst you said what do you
[48:53]want to do with that man with that prophet so repeated the
[49:04]same statement he said i want to believe in him and i
[49:08]want to tell him that i am at his service whatever he
[49:10]commands me to do i will listen and obey are you going
[49:20]to do so are you truly going to do so i said
[49:25]yes you said get up rise and come with me here a
[49:34]question comes to mind why would abu talib repeat the exact same
[49:42]questions he asked about a day ago a day before that incident
[49:49]he asked him the same questions presented the same answers why would
[49:56]he do so when he had already told abba rahimahullah to meet
[50:02]him on the next day so he can take him to rasulallah
[50:08]the answer is intention was sincere and that abu dharr was steadfast
[50:29]meaning he was still intending on believing and supporting rasulallah you might
[50:39]say but hold on a day ago abu dharr allah told him
[50:46]i want to believe why would he ask him the same questions
[50:48]only a day later the answer is the answer is this world
[50:56]is quite dangerous so long that we live in this world there
[51:05]is a chance of deviating so long that you're alive and you
[51:12]haven't taken your last breath there's a chance that you deviate today
[51:17]you might be a believer tomorrow god knows if you are a
[51:24]believer or you will be a believer or not god knows there
[51:27]were people who were on the straight path but unfortunately they deviated
[51:33]and when their lives came to an end they were on the
[51:38]wrong path just as there were people who were on the wrong
[51:42]path but they became guided and when the time of their death
[51:49]arrived they were guided so as long as we are alive we're
[51:55]being tested and as long as the test is running excuse me
[51:57]as long as the test is running as long as the test
[52:01]is continuing there's always that danger of deviating of losing faith of
[52:08]becoming evil hence the traditions of greatly stressed on what on us
[52:19]asking allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to keep us on the straight path
[52:24]to keep us guided because of what because of the presence of
[52:32]such a danger take the example of every day we recite the
[52:40]following verse at least 10 times right because we pray five times
[52:47]per day and in every salat we recite surat al-fatiha at least
[52:51]twice so every day the believer recites the following verse at least
[52:57]10 times if we are already on the straight path the straight
[53:15]path by the way we thought about it is closed it is
[53:22]ali so if we're already following imam then why do we need
[53:27]to constantly we're already on the straight path so why do we
[53:36]have to repeat that statement supposing that we are on the straight
[53:42]path we have to repeat the statement because there's always a danger
[53:50]of what deviating so when we say and we're already guided to
[53:57]the straight path we're saying allah keep us on keep us on
[54:02]the straight path because so long that you're alive there's not danger
[54:06]the danger of deviation abu dharr on day one when he meets
[54:12]abu talib he says i want to believe in rasulallah and i
[54:16]want to i want to to follow him i will listen to
[54:18]all of his commands on day two abu talib tests him again
[54:25]it's as if he's telling him is your intention still the same
[54:31]are you still intending on believing in rasulallah and following him or
[54:35]have you changed not to forget that he remained in al-majjid al-haram
[54:41]for a whole night and you've heard who attends the aristocrats of
[54:50]quraish who detached rasulallah so who says that the aristocrats of quraish
[54:57]did not for example brainwash a buddha and make him believe that
[55:05]rasulallah is an evil man hence there was a need to ask
[55:10]him the same questions a second time there was a need to
[55:15]ask him the questions the second time abu dharr presented the same
[55:19]answers so he passed the test now was going to uh bring
[55:26]abu dhabi to a second person before rasulallah to a second person
[55:33]who would also test him inshallah next week we'll continue with this
[55:39]important tradition to see who is the second person and what will
[55:42]he ask i thought that today we'd have enough time to at
[55:48]least finish this narration but it seems we did not have enough
[55:51]time inshallah next week will continue if we're still alive alhamdulillah allah
