Allah gave Intellect the Power of Language - Qazwini

This clip explains the two meanings behind the power of language given to the intellect. The first is that the intellect has a physical embodiment which God created (the literal meaning), and it obeys God. The second is a symbolic meaning, i.e. the intellect obeys God because it perceives and understand.
