[0:00]foreign we are in the eighth session of this 10-week crash course
[0:18]on and we explained and we focused on the belief in God
[0:23]the belief in monotheism the attributes of Allah and we moved on
[0:29]to discuss the reason for creation the justice of God the mercy
[0:33]of God and in the last two sessions we discussed prophethood and
[0:39]we mentioned that the need to send a prophet and send prophets
[0:46]and Messengers the logic our belief in God believing with since we
[0:52]believe that God is complete and we believe that God is just
[0:57]and we believe that God is merciful then that dictates that God
[0:59]has to send prophets and Messengers so this is called for the
[1:05]principle of Grace or the justice of God dictates that there has
[1:09]to be someone who will guide people because since there's going to
[1:13]be accountability since there's going to be a day of judgment then
[1:16]there has to be someone who will guide people and teach people
[1:22]and show people the way so we mentioned that those are the
[1:25]prophets and The Messengers the prophets and The Messengers they are those
[1:30]who show people the way and they guide people now we move
[1:37]on to discuss something that has caused division amongst the Muslims the
[1:42]Muslims are not divided about God they're not divided about the Oneness
[1:46]of God the monotheism they're not divided about prophethood now yes there
[1:51]are certain things regarding God and the attributes of God and the
[1:54]giving God a body and all of that there are some divisions
[1:59]but a big division that has taken place and that is the
[2:05]con the continuation of leadership after rasulullah the concept of Imam the
[2:13]concept of imama and we believe we the followers of the Albert
[2:17]we believe that this is a fundamental principle of our faith of
[2:22]our usual we have the tohed the adalah believing in the Oneness
[2:29]of God the justice of God believing in the prophets all of
[2:33]them and then believing in the imams believing in the imams that
[2:39]is one of the Deen of the Shia and then the fifth
[2:41]is also the mahad which we will explain inshallah so there's a
[2:48]division amongst Muslims regarding the concept of leadership after the prophets and
[2:55]here you have two schools two views two opinions one school is
[3:00]the school of the Elizabeth and another school is the school that
[3:05]followed the sahaba the companions after rasulullah our school of thought our
[3:17]opinion says that there must be a divinely appointed leader after rasulullah
[3:23]and until the day of judgment there has to always be a
[3:27]divinely appointed leader what is the proof of that the proof is
[3:32]the same proof that we said there God sent prophets and Messengers
[3:35]what was The Logical proof that we said God sent prophets and
[3:39]Messengers that same proof applies after rasulallah the holy prophet died 1400
[3:47]years ago 1300 years ago who knows when the day of judgment
[3:50]will be from the time of rasulullah until the day of judgment
[3:54]logic dictates that there has to be a Divine representative from Allah
[4:01]the second point is that the leader must be appointed by Allah
[4:09]now some people they come and they say okay there's a leader
[4:16]there's a Khalifa and ninja however they say this Khalifa does not
[4:23]need to be appointed by God does not need to be appointed
[4:24]by rasulullah people could gather and they could say we choose this
[4:27]person to represent God we choose this person as the Khalifa of
[4:35]rasulullah so these are two points we the followers of the Albert
[4:38]we say that the concept of the principle of Grace that there
[4:46]has to be a Divine representative the justice of God dictates that
[4:49]there has to be a leader that speaks on behalf of God
[4:53]this does not stop with rasulullah it continues until the day of
[4:57]judgment there has to always be a representative of God on Earth
[5:00]that's number one and second this representative must be chosen by God
[5:06]either by God directly or by rasulullah or by the Imam before
[5:11]the school of the sahaba the Sunni school of thought what do
[5:14]they say not all of them are in agreeance that there has
[5:17]to be an always a Divine representative we mentioned the Shia the
[5:22]imamiya and the the accept that there has to always be a
[5:30]Divine representative they say no because that means you would be forcing
[5:32]God to be just you would be forcing God to be merciful
[5:36]and you can't force God to do anything but we say that
[5:38]it's not God being forced to be just it's not God being
[5:43]forced to be to be merciful god by nature is the one
[5:47]that does not oppress because the moment you oppress you're not God
[5:50]you're going to be you're going to be deficient in nature and
[5:55]they say the second point they say that if there's a leader
[6:00]this leader could be appointed by anyone a group of people they
[6:02]gather and they say this person is the Khalifa of God this
[6:06]person is the one who speaks on behalf of God so now
[6:08]tonight inshallah we will discuss the need for an Imam after the
[6:14]prophet is it necessary is it necessary to have a Divine representative
[6:21]after rasulullah and what is the proof for that one we say
[6:26]before Quran the Hadith come talk about talk about all of these
[6:31]things before that is the akal it is the intellect and logic
[6:38]that dictates that you need to have a Divine representative just like
[6:43]your uncle told you you need to have prophets God cannot hold
[6:48]you accountable God cannot have a day of judgment and hold people
[6:51]accountable for actions without sending them a guide this applies this continues
[6:58]why would it stop after the death of rasulullah why would this
[7:01]rule stop there has to always be a Divine representative it's like
[7:06]someone having a hospital without a doctor does it make sense or
[7:10]having a school without a teacher does that make sense so it
[7:15]goes against the justice of Allah and we believe that God does
[7:20]not do anything for no reason God is complete Kamal God is
[7:24]full of intellect knowledge so therefore Allah does not do something that's
[7:28]useless something that has no point this is why we believe that
[7:33]if there is no Imam if there's no hajja of God there's
[7:36]no Divine representative then that means the day of judgment will begin
[7:40]because there's no proof from Allah upon the people and this is
[7:46]the same proof that we said for prophethood applies for Imam the
[7:49]principle of Grace the mercy and the justice of Allah and there's
[7:56]several ways to look at it from a logical perspective I want
[8:01]to mention this Hadith from one of the companions of Imam this
[8:06]companion he was very smart very bright he was young but he
[8:10]was a debater and the Imam sadak did not allow all his
[8:13]students to debate he would tell them no debates and even we
[8:18]have right now we're forbidden from going and debating people you know
[8:22]some people they go and they say yeah I'm Shia and they
[8:26]go and they want to debate with any person not every person
[8:29]is qualified to debate he told his companions very clearly not everyone
[8:35]there are certain things it's not your job to go and debate
[8:39]today there are some people every day as soon as they learn
[8:41]something they go and they want to debate with someone and then
[8:42]they they get they they they don't know how to answer back
[8:47]and then they called me in the middle of the night or
[8:49]they call someone you know saying please tell me this and I
[8:54]need help this is why we see many a Hadith Imam he
[8:55]says don't unless someone is truly an expert in that field so
[9:03]Imam he had students that were fokaha they were top in fukkah
[9:07]and jurisprudence he had students who were in in astronomy in math
[9:11]and biology and all these things and then there was a group
[9:17]of students they were motakelemin they were students who were experts in
[9:20]the field of Theology and debating with other people you're not we're
[9:24]not supposed to debate over everything so here one of those students
[9:29]and the zahadith in al-khafi one of those students is Hisham abnal
[9:35]Hakim and the Hadith says that we were Kana and Kana and
[9:39]Salam Hashem was the youngest amongst the companions of the Imam so
[9:57]Imam he tells him foreign tell us the story of you and
[10:14]amrabin abaid was a Sunni scholar he was in Basra the Imam
[10:19]is in kufa or medina so he tells he tells us of
[10:28]your story and the story of this is how Hashem did not
[10:32]refer to the Quran he did not refer to Hadith he did
[10:36]not refer to anything he referred to logic to prove the necessity
[10:39]for an Imam and here first the Imam tells Hashem Hashem says
[10:45]I'm embarrassed to speak in front of you you are my master
[10:48]you are my Imam the Imam tells him when I tell you
[10:52]guys to do something you do it right away so so he
[10:56]did it but he says used to sit in the Masjid of
[11:09]Basra and he has hundreds of people sitting and they would ask
[11:12]him a question so he says one day on a Friday he's
[11:26]sitting and he's wearing something black and I sat in the circle
[11:32]while people are asking him so I said oh teacher oh scholar
[11:33]can I ask you a question so he says ask me so
[11:40]then he says he says I'm a stranger do you give me
[11:51]permission to ask he says yes go ahead and ask he tells
[11:53]him do you have an eye this guy is a scholar so
[12:00]he tells him oh my dear son what kind of a question
[12:03]are you asking me and then he says he says don't you
[12:09]see I have eyes why are you wasting my time why are
[12:11]you asking me he said Hashem tells him this is my question
[12:15]can you please answer me he tells them yes I will answer
[12:17]you even if your question is a stupid one so he says
[12:25]do you have an eye he says yes I told him what
[12:28]do you do with it he says he says I see the
[12:38]colors and people do you ever knows what are you doing what
[12:41]do you do with it I smell with it he says Alexa
[12:50]thumb do you have a mouth what do you do with it
[12:57]he says I taste food with it and then he says do
[13:01]you have ears what do you do with it he says and
[13:03]then he tells him do you have a heart he says what
[13:10]do you do with your heart hear the heart in the Quran
[13:14]the heart is a reference to what is what is described as
[13:26]the distinguishing between right and wrong that is what distinguishes between right
[13:31]and wrong so he says what do you do with your heart
[13:37]he says um he says whatever comes to the eye if I'm
[13:45]not sure of it I refer to it back to the heart
[13:48]meaning back to the akal if I smell something I don't I'm
[13:52]not sure about it I refer to it back to the akan
[13:53]if I taste something I'm not sure of it I refer to
[13:57]it back to the so that it helps me decipher between something
[14:02]that I'm not sure about and then he says he says and
[14:08]then he he tells them he tells them but your your tongue
[14:17]and your ear and your eyes why do they need the heart
[14:19]are they not independent of the hearts he says no they're not
[14:26]independent of the heart he says why if they are healthy why
[14:32]are they not independent of the heart he says he says when
[14:47]when your senses they're not sure of anything they test they tasted
[14:51]or they smelled or they saw it refers to it back to
[14:56]the intellect and then the intellect will give it yaquin when you're
[14:59]not sure of something it will give it yaquin so then he
[15:03]says he says I asked them so God gave you the Kalb
[15:12]the ability to decipher between right and wrong so that when the
[15:18]joara when you're when your body when you're when your senses have
[15:22]doubt the Kalb will guide it back to the truth he said
[15:26]yes he said he tells him God gave you the heart so
[15:30]that you're so that your senses even though they're healthy it goes
[15:34]back and it refers to the heart so then he says so

[15:46]or the yakim the the intellect otherwise the joara the senses are
[15:50]not going to find the truth and then he tells him this
[15:54]is the the name of the scholar yeah so he tells him
[16:22]he got the man in a trap he told them Allah created
[16:26]the heart as an Imam as a leader that if your senses
[16:33]they have doubt in something where do they go to they go
[16:36]to the intellect so that it helps them find the truth he
[16:41]tells them God gave your senses and Imam to decipher between right
[16:47]and wrong and God left this whole world without an Imam to
[16:50]guide them to the truth when they are in doubt because the
[16:53]Imam doesn't believe in the man doesn't believe in an Imam at
[16:57]all times he says after rasulullah there's no Imam he caught him
[17:01]so then he tells him meaning it doesn't make sense if Allah
[17:04]gave you at an individual level he gave you the akal so
[17:09]that it helps you distinguish right and wrong at your smaller uh
[17:13]you know at a personal level so God is going to leave
[17:19]this whole religion people are going to doubt in this religion and
[17:23]not give them some someone to guide them and show them if
[17:26]we doubted in something if I doubt it in the Quran if
[17:28]I doubted him Salah if I doubted in a Hadith who do
[17:33]I go back to I have to go back to someone just
[17:37]like the the mind we go back to to help us decipher
[17:39]between right and wrong so then he tells him foreign he said
[17:59]he stayed quiet for a while he didn't say anything and then
[18:06]he said because he knows is the student of Imam and he
[18:09]was wise and he was able to defeat his people in an
[18:15]argument and arguing and using logic using mantak so then he says
[18:19]first I told him now no I'm not and then later on
[18:23]he he found out that I was he tells him who taught
[18:32]you this argument how you use this argument he says he says
[18:38]this is something I I learned I learned from you and then
[18:43]I and then I came and I applied it he says the
[18:47]Imam says Imam says this argument is written in ibrahimov and the
[18:55]Scrolls of Ibrahim and Musa that mean what is it that any
[19:01]time there has to be an Imam there has to be a
[19:02]leader even after rasulullah now someone might come and say well why
[19:09]do we need an Imam right now didn't Allah complete the religion
[19:15]after rasulullah religion came complete so what's the purpose of an Imam
[19:20]we say first of Allah was it revealed it was revealed after
[19:27]Imam Ali was appointed as an Imam that's number one okay second
[19:32]what is the proof that we need an Imam the proof is
[19:37]the disagreement amongst the Muslims the disagreement amongst the Muslims right now
[19:41]over verses of the Quran over Salah over everything that is proof
[19:44]that you need an Imam because if there is no need for
[19:49]an Imam then that means everyone should know the truth and no
[19:51]one should have any question no one should have any doubt the
[19:56]fact that Muslims immediately after rasulullah they became divided over the Quran
[20:02]they became divided over Salah today why do some Muslims have their
[20:05]hands down why do some Muslims fold their hands what does this
[20:07]show you this shows you that there is a dispute this shows
[20:11]you that some people are doing things one way and another is
[20:13]doing things another way which one is the truth that the prophet
[20:16]one day he had his hands down and one day he folded
[20:19]it no obviously rasulullah prayed in one way fasted in one way
[20:22]rasulullah performed in one way rasulullah did everything that he's supposed to
[20:28]do in one way but after the prophet there came a division
[20:34]so now they both say which we are trying to emulate and
[20:38]be like the prophet one people they say we're doing it through
[20:41]the sahaba another group they say we do it through the imams
[20:46]of the Allah but the fact that there's division can anyone deny
[20:51]that there's division right now can anyone say there's no division whatsoever
[20:54]over the Quran over the Quran the division existed immediately after the
[20:59]death of the prophet and the Quran purposely I mentioned this verse
[21:06]in Surat Imran the Quran purposely makes some verses not so clear
[21:10]ly he is the one who brought down the Quran upon you
[21:21]within it are verses that are Markham they're Markham they are clear
[21:26]they are the mother of the book these are verses that no
[21:31]one should doubt in there are other verses that are mutashaba means
[21:36]it creates meaning of someone who has no knowledge someone who's not
[21:42]an expert they come and they read it they might conclude something
[21:45]that is the opposite of what was intended and obviously you're reading
[21:52]a text that was revealed 1400 years ago this text was revealed
[21:56]within a specific context within a specific time if I'm reading it
[22:00]right now I'm obviously going to not derive in the right conclusion
[22:07]unless I have help and support and here well some people they
[22:20]come and they re they change the meanings of the Quran to
[22:24]cause fitna or to have the Quran shoot their own needs and
[22:31]desires who is God and those who Allah has given knowledge now
[22:45]so here with the above we didn't use Hadith we didn't use
[22:55]Quran to prove that there's that there is a logical need for
[22:57]an Imam at all times otherwise what's the point of religion Allah
[23:01]sent prophets after Prophet after Prophet rasulullah goes to battle he fights
[23:05]he's he's injured so much struggle and then the prophet dies and
[23:09]that's it people are people have to figure things out on their
[23:16]own does a wise person do that no Allah has a purpose
[23:19]and creation yes did someone have anything to add yes brother yes
[23:39]or ideological schools of thought the the four schools of the handball
[23:46]these are 50 schools of thought so I'm not a hundred percent
[24:01]certain of but I believe for example the hambali who the wahhabis
[24:05]there they they mainly fall in that line they are ashara now
[24:09]I'm not sure about the others I'm not sure about the others
[24:14]but um they're they're more in line with the ashari belief yes
[24:22]yes or the Maliki I believe I the Maliki I believe yeah
[24:29]that's a that's a different thing that's that's an issue of so
[24:34]there's you have ideological schools of thought and then you have uh
[24:41]50 schools of thought as well yes now yes go ahead I'm
[24:45]going to refer to that right now yes I sent yes or

[25:24]Hadith he says when this verse was revealed you are a Warner

[25:43]them the way so rasulullah says you are the guide after me
[26:00]you will you'll be the one who will show them the way
[26:06]now we don't know for example other people that the Quran did
[26:09]not mention our Hadith did not mentioned we don't know who was
[26:12]there who was their guide but we believe that after rasulallah is
[26:17]the final messenger and his message was a universal message meaning a
[26:23]message that is supposed to reach all over every corner of the
[26:29]world and this is what happened within within a very short time
[26:33]period after rasulullah the message of rasulullah reached everywhere now find me
[26:37]a spot in the world that has not heard about the religion
[26:39]of Islam the name of Islam and The Message of Islam reached
[26:45]everyone rasulullah he sent him letters he he wasn't just sitting in
[26:48]in Arabia he sent a letter to the Persian Empire in all
[26:51]over the Roman Empire he sent them letters and he was inviting
[26:57]them it's a universal message and he was guiding people after him
[27:01]and we believe that the imams of the are the imams for
[27:04]everyone so people they have multiple ways of receiving guidance through the
[27:08]footra through hearing from other people but the representative of God on
[27:14]Earth right now so and uh before we go to the the
[27:20]proof of the profit pointing because we said there's a logical proof
[27:23]and there's a ugly proof and then there's a nuclear proof meaning
[27:29]passed on through Quran and through Hadith and uh one of the
[27:33]Sunni scholarsi he says that there's there's no point in the continuation
[27:41]of life without a Divine representative meaning that he agrees a lot
[27:45]of the sunnis also agree with this belief that we have that
[27:47]there has to always be a Divine representative of God on Earth
[27:52]right now there's a Divine representative but today you ask many people
[27:56]who's the Divine represent who or who's the representative obey God obey
[28:04]the prophet and those who have been appointed as Leaders they say
[28:07]the King right now you follow the king you have to follow
[28:12]the king so the the greater the greater idea they accept they
[28:16]say that there has to be a Divine representative but then in
[28:20]apply who to apply it to that's where people they came and
[28:23]they apply it to the wrong person yes sister during the live
[28:28]life of a physically present for people who are still divided but
[28:35]the truth was there there's someone guiding the truth during the time
[28:40]of Imam Hussain he was there there were people that were divided
[28:43]the hajja was upon them because just for uh everyday matters like
[29:05]you know if I'm telling my kids he cannot see him we
[29:10]cannot talk to him so who who should we look up as
[29:16]our leader as our God so inshallah next week we will cover
[29:19]the the Imam Mahdi and how we benefit from them the point
[29:25]is you don't need just because I don't see the Imam does
[29:27]not mean I don't benefit from the Imam the Imam just his
[29:29]existence is a form of benefit for me his existence means the
[29:35]life continues of Allah so just because you don't see something doesn't
[29:39]mean you don't benefit from it one of the examples that was
[29:44]given by the Imam is the sun behind the clouds you benefit
[29:46]from it even if you don't see it but there's other ways
[29:51]maybe the Dua of the Imam may be in the Imam inspires
[29:55]the scholars in some ways to issue the fatwa so either directly
[29:59]or indirectly you do benefit from the Imam and his has an
[30:04]existence is necessary for the continuation and this is something that Muslims
[30:09]believe even right now Lucy he says that there's no point in
[30:13]the continuation of life if there is no Divine yes what five
[30:24]percent of the word who knows about Imam 95 they don't even
[30:28]know but how that would be of a fairness to them right

[30:53]this person I'm benefiting in a way so you could benefit in
[30:56]an indirect way from the Imam just you don't have to see

[31:15]goes he builds a wall he goes and he punctures a boat
[31:20]he goes and he kills a young man those people Heather had
[31:28]an impact on their life they didn't know who was they had
[31:34]not seen they don't know what is going on but their lives
[31:37]were transformed as a result of the actions of this man that
[31:40]God had sent for them he goes and he builds a wall
[31:44]for them he builds the wall their money was protected as a
[31:49]result of him building that wall or he goes and he punctures
[31:54]the boat the king takes all of the other ships that are
[31:57]there's nothing wrong with them but their ship he does not take
[32:02]it because there was punctured and he ends up killing one of
[32:06]them and Allah according to the narrations he gives that family he
[32:11]gives them um a a progeny of prophets so someone had had
[32:18]an impact on their life in a way that they did not
[32:22]realize that is that possible for for it to happen to me
[32:25]for to happen to you for it to happen to other people
[32:27]it's very possible so we believe that we benefit from the Imam
[32:30]just because I don't see the Imam does not mean I don't
[32:34]benefit from him and this is why we believe that the Imam
[32:36]exists the first reason is a logical reason the logical reason tells
[32:41]me that where's the wisdom of God where's the justice of God
[32:43]where's the mercy of God for life to continue and there's no
[32:48]hard job Allah just like a hospital doesn't have a physician doesn't
[32:51]have a school doesn't have a teacher and second we have multiple
[32:55]narrations and verses of the Quran which make it very clear yes
[32:58]Hajj we talk about here I'm not trying to be like Hashanah
[33:20]no no no go ahead well someone might argue that um logically
[33:26]and I need I need someone and have right an email to
[33:31]go and make things clear right now they cannot do that right
[33:37]why can't they do that they could find it if people seek
[33:50]the truth they will find it most of the people they don't
[33:53]fight they don't seek the truth because people don't seek the truth
[33:57]because people seek to do what's convenient that doesn't mean that God
[34:02]is God is a reality God is existent there's many people that
[34:08]reject God is that is that proof just because some people don't
[34:11]see or don't believe and God that God is not there no
[34:15]God is there he used wisdom he used everything some people reject
[34:23]that just because people people reject the truth doesn't mean that the
[34:27]truth is not there they do have access to it right now
[34:33]find me one person who says I don't have access to knowledge
[34:36]people have access to the truth wherever you are especially right now
[34:41]especially right now people have access to the truth you have through
[34:47]the internet through lectures through Tick Tock through Facebook through Twitter through
[34:51]so many means you have access to the truth we are exposed
[34:56]to the truth I we we've heard it must have gone through
[34:59]someone's mind someone's pathway at some point in their life and people
[35:05]make a decision at the end of the day every single person
[35:08]they make a decision yes we said the justice of God if
[35:13]someone for example say someone was living in a box and this
[35:16]person had zero access to any of this information zero access to
[35:21]knowledge zero access to any of that first of all you have
[35:25]the fitra that Allah created everyone with every single person is supposed
[35:29]to ask questions who what's my purpose here who brought me here
[35:32]what am I doing here things you know just like this has
[35:37]to come down gravity it's not going to just float in the
[35:39]air there there's a there's something pulling it down we we ask
[35:42]these questions say someone they didn't ask these questions and they um
[35:49]like their football wasn't really healthy or they were they were in
[35:54]a society where it was kind of it was it was changed
[35:57]and it was uh their perspective was distorted I don't we believe
[36:01]that Allah will hold these people based on what they know Allah
[36:03]has just Allah at the end of the day he's going to
[36:08]hold people according to what they know but we believe that Allah
[36:14]every single person has some in some way or another truth has
[36:19]passed by them and they've made a decision and they've made a
[36:23]decision whether to accept or not to accept yes so the first
[36:28]proof we were saying that the logic dictates that there has to
[36:32]be Allah at all times just like the heart the heart is
[36:38]used to distinguish between the right and wrong the same argument of
[36:41]Hashem Allah gave you that at an individual level Allah also has
[36:45]brought an Imam for us to help us make decisions and see
[36:51]the truth now the second proof is a knuckle or Nas meaning
[36:55]from the Quran or Hadith the first verse that I wanted to
[37:01]mention is the verse and every you're a Warner and every Nation
[37:08]every group of people have Ahad Allah will not leave someone God's
[37:16]Loth God's justice God's mercy dictates that there has to be someone
[37:19]who will show people the truth and show people the way and
[37:25]here uh there's also Hadith and this Hadith from IBN Abbas is
[37:33]also narrated in Sunni sources foreign and there's a scholar his name
[37:41]is he has a book by the name of al-musted when they

[43:06]could vote we could say we choose you you go and you
[43:07]speak on our behalf that's fine but can we all gather and
[43:15]we say we choose you to speak on behalf of God we
[43:17]choose you to represent the Quran we choose you to teach us
[43:22]how to pray we teach you we choose you to explain the
[43:24]Hadith does that make sense does it make sense doesn't make sense
[43:33]and this is why we believe that the the leader after Allah
[43:37]first we we prove that there has to be a leader under
[43:41]until the day of judgment second we prove that the leader after
[43:44]rasulullah must be someone who is appointed by God and the same
[43:53]the same infallibility the same knowledge the same criteria that applies to
[43:58]a prophet has to apply to the Imam why why does the

[49:59]of things there are hypocrites rasulullah knows that the majority of them
[50:07]or a great portion a significant uh group of the Muslims right
[50:11]now they have just joined the religion of Islam they're called guys
[50:14]like Abu sufyan and mahawiya who had just joined the religion of
[50:19]Islam and they took money to join the religion of Islam he
[50:25]wanted to stop the headache and he wanted them to be quiet
[50:30]he would give them camels and he would give them these things
[50:34]and the Quran says there are people in Medina that are hypocrites
[50:42]so Allah knows this the Quran is saying this does it make
[50:46]sense for us Allah to just say yeah you know what you

[50:52]and for someone to say and suggest that this is what rasulullah
[50:56]was doing this is an insult to not only rasulullah but there's
[51:01]an insult to God as well because who's the one who sent
[51:03]rasulullah was sent by Allah that means god is also sending the
[51:10]prophets with an incomplete message so the fact of the matter and
[51:15]I know in this session because we have you know we have
[51:20]to cover about Imam and Maddie and we have to cover about
[51:21]the day of judgment we only have two sessions left we're not
[51:26]going to be able to focus so much on proving the Imam
[51:28]of Imam Ali looking at every Hadith looking at every every uh

[51:49]did appoint in fact the first time rasulullah invited people to Islam

[52:31]appoint if if you were there and you did not hear rasulullah
[52:38]appoint to anyone and you want to follow someone after rasulullah someone
[52:42]to take your religion someone who will guide you to God someone
[52:46]who will connect you with the message of rasulullah someone who will
[52:49]help clarify the Quran who would you choose no you don't know
[52:53]you don't know Imam Ali why would you choose Imam Ali what
[52:55]qualities would you look for most knowledgeable exactly if you're looking for
[53:05]a leader who would you choose the one who has the most
[53:07]out I know you're going to say Imam Ali so if you
[53:10]if you're looking for a leader you choose someone who is the
[53:12]most knowledgeable so now let's ask the Muslims who was the most
[53:20]knowledgeable yes and you have you have so many proofs from the
[53:27]others see the Imam has to be the most complete person the
[53:33]bravest the most knowledgeable the one who has not done any Haram
[53:37]now let's say some a Muslim today someone joined the religion of
[53:40]Islam today and they say I don't know sunnishi I don't know
[53:44]anything and I don't know about Hadith all of these things who
[53:48]should I follow tell him what does your common sense say common
[53:51]sense says follow the one who is the most knowledgeable after the
[53:58]prophet we have multiple multiple sources of the others meaning and other
[54:04]sahaba they are acknowledging that Imam Ali was the most knowledgeable they're
[54:10]acknowledging that Imam Ali was the most knowledgeable after rasulullah said this
[54:20]multiple times not once Abu Bakr he would refer people to Imam
[54:26]Ali and this is why today some even um the the author
[54:32]of not the author the one who put together he begins in
[54:44]the in the beginning of the book he says all praise is
[54:51]due to God who chose the the one who were less over
[54:57]the one who was the greater to be the Khalifa meaning even
[55:01]they accept they accept that there were Sunni Scholars right now you

[55:12]they look at the facts out there tell them who was the
[55:13]most knowledgeable from the sahaba so once again even if you don't
[55:21]have access to Hadith even though that that is witnessed and seen

[56:06]and the Imam must be it goes to the most knowledgeable person
[56:13]of the time how do we know sometimes you don't there's no
[56:18]standardized test to come and tell but we know that when we

[56:35]Imam and the Hadith where he is appointed when he is asked
[56:40]he answers um he he's able to tell tell people of certain
[56:44]things this applies to all of the imams until Imam alhamdulillah
