[0:14]foreign we are continuing with the tafsir of the 80th surah in
[0:35]the quran the surah that begins with he frowned abbas and we
[0:43]mentioned in the first tafsir in the first session of the surah
[0:48]in the previous session that the one who frowned was not rasulullah
[0:52]and they can't be rasulullah and then the quran goes on to
[1:01]talk about this is the quran it's a purified book a book
[1:04]that is sent by allah a book that is not fabricated a
[1:10]book that is not played with and here then the quran goes
[1:20]on to talk about those who reject the quran those who reject
[1:22]the words of allah subhanahu ta'ala those who reject the message of
[1:28]the quran and the message of the prophets so allah subhanahu wa
[1:34]ta'ala first goes this book is has been brought down through angels
[1:48]that delivered the message they are trustworthy and they delivered it to
[1:54]rasulullah delivered it to the people however people the insane the human
[2:01]being is the one who has the audacity to reject the quran
[2:03]the audacity to reject the prophets and the messengers and the orders
[2:10]and commands of allah so allah says this human being rejects destroyed
[2:20]or cursed is the man how disbelieving is the man is the
[2:26]human being the human being is so disbelieving despite all of the
[2:34]signs despite the books and the messengers 124 000 prophets and messengers
[2:38]books miracles allah has given the intellect to the human being yet
[2:43]there are some who reject all of the signs see the difference
[2:47]between the human and the animal is that the animals there they
[2:50]follow their instincts they don't break the laws of allah because they
[2:56]were they are created that in that way but they don't have
[3:02]the intellect to decide to choose the human being has been gifted
[3:05]the intellect yet the human being turns against allah when the animals
[3:10]don't even turn against allah so now here what is the purpose
[3:21]of kufur what is the definition of kufur in in this in
[3:24]this part of the in this surah kofur it has several meanings
[3:29]one is the lack of faith any time someone rejects god this
[3:34]is a blasphemy this is kufur this is one another definition of
[3:41]kufur is not being grateful and not appreciating what allah has given
[3:48]you when allah gives you so much when you do not show
[3:52]gratitude and you're not thankful and appreciative to what allah subhanahu wa
[3:56]ta'ala has given you that is a type of kuffar that's why
[4:00]allah and your lord has decreed that if you show thanks gratitude
[4:10]i will give you more but if you do kuffur then i
[4:14]will then the punishment of god is severe so on one side
[4:19]you see gratitude and on the other side you see it also
[4:24]means not showing appreciation not showing gratitude to allah and technically the
[4:29]person who does not worship god the person who does not have
[4:34]faith in god is a person who is not showing gratitude the
[4:37]person who is not being thankful to allah because god has given
[4:42]you so much yet you are rejecting and you are refusing to
[4:46]bow and worship allah subhanahu ta'ala about to god a third definition
[4:51]is a more general definition it means generally turning against the truth
[4:56]turning against the signs of god and the truth your logic your
[5:01]intellect your reason tells you this is the truth this is what
[5:04]makes sense but you reject it for the purpose of desires for
[5:06]the purpose of arrogance for the purpose of pride this is what
[5:09]a lot of people do a lot of people they know certain
[5:12]things are right and certain things are wrong yet they go against
[5:17]it why do criminals commit crimes they know that committing that crime
[5:22]is bad they know that killing and stealing and cheating and abusing
[5:26]is wrong no one these are these are concepts that religion doesn't
[5:29]teach us these are concepts that we are born with this is
[5:32]a part of our futra yet people go against it why because
[5:35]they're driven by their arrogance and pride and deceitful nature so allah
[5:44]talks about the nature of the human being this human being destroyed
[5:50]is the man and or cursed is the human being how disbelieving
[5:55]is the human being and this is this is a sign of
[6:01]like how disbelieving can a person be despite all of these signs
[6:03]of allah and then allah goes back to talk about okay this
[6:09]human being who rejects the signs of god and rejects the quran
[6:12]and the prophets and the messengers and the miracles now go back
[6:16]and think about yourself this person who has the audacity to reject
[6:31]god from what thing from what substance did allah create you from
[6:36]meaning that you the one who rejects god what were you created
[6:41]from go back and look at your source go and look at
[6:44]your origin you were nothing and then allah says from a sperm
[6:53]drop he created him and destined for him meaning that this person
[6:57]who becomes so arrogant and so prideful because some people they have
[7:01]some money they have some power they think that they have absolute
[7:07]power and they think that their power is limitless and they're going
[7:10]to remain forever allah says go and look back to where your
[7:14]origins came from min yuri from a drop of sperm this is
[7:19]what you were this is what you came from this is why
[7:24]imam said that he says he says how strange is the one
[7:44]who is so arrogant and full of pride when this person was
[7:51]created from a plot of blood and then later on you will
[8:01]become a rot a corpse that rots this is what ends up
[8:06]happening ajifa that's what it is a corpse that is rotting that's
[8:08]what they call a jifa this is what will happen to every
[8:13]single person and between it he doesn't know what to do with
[8:19]himself he has no he has no power he has no no
[8:24]authority this is the human being but you give this person some
[8:26]money you give them some dollars you give them some power and
[8:31]they become tart they become like pharaoh pharaoh he had a little
[8:35]bit of power he started calling declaring that he is god and
[8:40]he was enslaving people and forcing people to worship him has a
[8:46]similar hadith he says why does the son of adam become so
[8:51]prideful your first your beginning is a not a blood clot and
[9:01]the end is a jifa a rotting corpse you can't give you
[9:09]can't increase the sustenance for yourself and you can't remove the struggles
[9:16]and you can't remove the death when death is written for a
[9:20]person that's what will happen to a person no matter how rich
[9:22]no matter how powerful one small virus one small virus will knock
[9:26]out a person who is strong who's rich who's wealthy go back
[9:35]and think where did you come from this insane that rejects god
[9:44]here this is a very important part he created him and destined
[10:02]for him you know one of the names several of the names
[10:05]of allah one of them is and another one is what does
[10:11]that mean is the one who's absolutely capable he's capable of doing
[10:28]anything he's capable of creating something that is not there or removing
[10:32]something that is there with hikmah with wisdom is the one who
[10:46]is able to fix and create a system an organization that others
[10:52]cannot and this is how allah subhanahu ta'ala has created allah first
[10:56]of all remind you what were you created from men you were
[11:01]created from a blood clot but this blood clot it was created
[11:11]into a human being and organized it wasn't just an accident there's
[11:16]a system in the creation and allah is the one who created
[11:21]the system and organized the system the human being is millions and
[11:29]billions of dna who is the one who gave every single individual
[11:34]their own unique dna out of the millions of people that have
[11:38]lived every single person they have their own thumbprint they have their
[11:44]own fingerprint they all have their own dna every person is unique
[11:51]in their own way who is the one who created that who
[11:54]is the one who created the human being with the ability to
[12:00]live and survive and creating a system so allah subhanahu ta'ala is
[12:04]the one who did that then he eased the way for him
[12:15]allah did not just create and create in perfection allah is the
[12:21]way for the human being to survive right now see there are
[12:28]certain things that i need to do in order to survive i
[12:29]need to for example eat i need to drink that is something
[12:34]that i need to do but there are other things that it's
[12:37]out of my control allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has created that system
[12:41]can i tell my heart stop beating when i sleep my heart
[12:46]continues to be my lungs continue to work my liver works my
[12:50]body my organs they function in a way where allah subhanahu ta'ala
[12:55]allows it then he eased the way for him and this starts
[13:02]off from the beginning of creation all the way until death created
[13:10]a way for this embryo in the womb of the mother to
[13:15]receive its sustenance and then created an easy way for the baby
[13:22]to leave and depart through from one realm to another realm and
[13:28]once this baby is born allah subhanahu wa ta'ala brings the milk
[13:34]and the breast of the mother and she her body which was
[13:41]feeding this child this baby this embryo in the womb now it's
[13:44]feeding outside of the womb who's the one who organized this who's
[13:47]the one who created the system yes this child as soon as
[13:55]it's born it learns it knows how to suckle who taught this
[13:58]baby how to suckle it knows and then this baby grows teeth
[14:05]start growing when it's time for this baby to start eating solids
[14:09]start eating food and then the baby starts walking and growing the
[14:13]hormones they kick in at a particular time when the body is
[14:18]ready until this human being keeps growing and growing and growing until
[14:23]you come to the end the final stage of your life this
[14:27]whole time allah is the one who has been giving you the
[14:33]breath and the food and the sustenance and the systems in your
[14:35]body have been functioning according to a system it's not just chaos
[14:40]in there there's a system so takes then he causes his death
[15:00]and provides a grave for him who is the one who takes
[15:06]the soul allah subhana tala yes we have the angel of death
[15:08]we have several verses one verse says the angels of death take
[15:15]the soul another one is the the angel of death takes the
[15:19]soul and the third one is god is the one who takes
[15:26]the souls but the absolute power belongs to allah even when the
[15:30]angel of death takes a soul the angel of death is taking
[15:32]the soul by the permission of allah not independently if we were
[15:36]to say the angel of death has independent authority and power to
[15:40]take away the soul that's kufur that's blasphemy and similarly when we
[15:47]say the rasulullah we don't say that they do that independently everything
[15:53]happens in this world by the permission of allah not allah so
[15:56]god is the one who takes the soul and then allah says
[16:03]and then he gave a grave for him what does this mean
[16:06]does this mean that god actually comes and buries the person no
[16:10]here scholars they come and they say that the since the earth
[16:17]since the earth has been become a grave for the human being
[16:20]who is the one who created the earth it is allah subhanahu
[16:25]ta'ala so essentially god is the one who created the grave the
[16:30]grave for the individual another another uh tafsir for this is that
[16:35]allah subhanahu ta'ala is the one who gave the command allah is
[16:39]the one who gave the order as soon as a person dies
[16:41]it becomes there is meaning that this is something that's washed upon
[16:51]every person upon every person you have to pray you have to
[16:55]every person it's wajib upon them it's obligatory upon them to pray
[16:59]however there are other things that are called if someone died it's
[17:06]obligatory upon everyone to bury this person but as soon as one
[17:09]person buries this person then it's not wajab anymore then this person
[17:11]has lifted that obligation upon people allah obligatory that when a person
[17:23]dies this person is buried right away and this is the way
[17:27]to respect the deceased that you bury them right away now some
[17:29]people they come and they ask okay right now some people when
[17:34]they're when they die they come and they have to put them
[17:35]in the fridge and they they have to carry out certain certain
[17:38]duties and requirements before they come and they bury this person now
[17:43]here because we have refrigerators and because there are ways to preserve
[17:48]the body so that the body does not start rotting then scholars
[17:52]they say if that is a necessity to do that then it
[17:56]would be allowed it's okay but before during the time of the
[18:02]revelation of the quran they didn't have access to refrigerators so when
[18:05]a person passes away they would have to bury this person immediately
[18:09]and this is why it's mustahab to bury a person as soon
[18:13]as they have passed away to preserve the sanctity of the deceased
[18:15]because this body starts to rot it starts to give off smells
[18:21]and that will take away from the dignity and the karma of
[18:25]the human being and allah ta'ala wants the human being to be
[18:31]dignified this is why allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has made it obligatory
[18:35]to bury the deceased and that is the most dignified way why
[18:39]is it the most dignified way because god told us to because
[18:42]god because god created for us this system and allah subhanahu wa
[18:47]ta'ala the first individuals who he taught them how to do this
[18:51]was kabil and habil when kabil and he saw that the crow
[19:33]buried the other crow or whatever he had killed then he says
[19:37]will be upon me i became worse than this crow meaning the
[19:41]crow is the one who teaches me how to preserve the sanctity
[19:44]of the deceased for us so here allah subhanahu ta'ala says this
[19:57]death and burial it's all a cycle it's all a continuation of
[20:03]the life the same way you are born you have a birthday
[20:05]and we celebrate that birthday all the time every single one of
[20:10]us has a day that we leave this life that's it that's
[20:14]why when you go to the tombstones you go and you look
[20:17]at the tombstones they show you the day this person was born
[20:19]and the day this person dies every person has an origin date
[20:23]a beginning date and an expiration date that's the cycle of life
[20:30]no one could just skip that part that's the cycle and death
[20:36]my dear brothers and sisters is also a sign of the mercy
[20:41]of allah just as god programmed our life our sustenance the the
[20:44]embryo in the womb of the mother this has all a system
[20:47]create organized by god even death is a system organized by god
[20:51]let us surrender to allah subhanahu ta'ala the believers they say this
[20:55]is a part of the system we surrender to allah [Applause] and
[21:01]death is a mercy one is the completion of the test that's
[21:05]it the person who has died they've handed in their test no
[21:08]more tests for them now they go and they see the results
[21:11]of their test and second allah one of the mercies one of
[21:20]the logical reasons why allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has um the wisdoms
[21:25]behind death is for to preserve the you know the sanctity and
[21:29]the dignity of those who are living right now imagine if no
[21:33]one dies this earth would be overpopulated there would be a bunch
[21:36]of sick people there would be people with diseases who are unhealthy
[21:40]who are just laying around and they can't do anything they're perhaps
[21:46]paralyzed and they're not dying it is said there's a hadith that
[21:51]said that a group of people they ask their prophet out of
[21:54]the thousands of prophets they ask the prophet they tell him ask
[21:57]god to remove death we don't want to die because when you
[22:01]first look at death no one likes death so this prophet he
[22:05]goes and he asks allah oh allah these people they ask me
[22:07]to ask you that they don't want to die so allah subhanahu
[22:11]wa ta'ala he says okay death is lifted off them for a
[22:15]while death is lifted off them so they started living and they
[22:19]started getting older the young child became a grandparent and they began
[22:25]to live with their grandparents and great-grandparents until life became miserable for
[22:32]them because everyone was old everyone was suffering everyone has diseases everyone
[22:35]is ill but no one is dying so then they go back
[22:39]after a while they go back to the prophet and they tell
[22:43]him ask allah to bring down death once again and ask god
[22:46]so that we die once again so even death something that we
[22:50]look at as something so negative it's it's also a part of
[22:55]the system and the of allah subhanahu wa and then allah says
[23:07]in the quran when allah wills he will resurrect this person what
[23:14]is this this is the day of judgment the day of judgment
[23:17]that every single person will have to come out from their grave
[23:20]come out and they will have to see the consequences of their
[23:28]own actions and then allah says but no he the man has
[23:38]not accomplished what god commanded of him what does this mean this
[23:41]is a continuation this is going back to the first verse that
[23:46]we recited meaning this human being is cursed because this human being
[23:52]does kufur now once again despite this whole cycle of allah subhanahu
[23:56]ta'ala is the one who created he create created from nutvah from
[24:02]a blood clot he made ease and then there's death and then
[24:05]there's hisab accountability but still despite all of that human beings they
[24:10]transgress and turn against allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and then once again
[24:18]the quran goes on to give reminders as why we should believe
[24:25]in allah why we should why we should accept the laws of
[24:30]allah subhanahu ta'ala accept the quran and accept the hidayah and the
[24:33]the uh prophets and believe in the day of judgment allah says
[24:38]in verse 24 then let man look at his food let the
[24:50]human being look at their food why does allah subhanahu ta'ala talk
[24:54]about the food because food is perhaps the dearest thing for human
[25:03]beings you need it for survival people are willing to give away
[25:08]their money for the sake of food because food is what keeps
[25:12]you surviving and this is a reminder for those who reject god
[25:16]who reject the day of judgment allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is trying
[25:20]to tell them you reject god and you reject the day of
[25:22]judgment look at your food who is the one who gave you
[25:26]this food who is the one who gave you this uh this
[25:29]necessity that you need for survival who's the one who gave it
[25:32]to you look at it think about it don't just look use
[25:37]all of your senses to look at it use your eyes to
[25:41]look at the food today some they say that look at your
[25:43]food when you look at your food that will that will make
[25:47]your taste buds that will make you you when you look at
[25:50]it you start getting hungry this is why in the month of
[25:53]ramadan i tell people don't look at food because when you keep
[25:57]looking at food then you're going to get hungry so just the
[26:00]fact that you're looking that has an impact on you look at
[26:05]it smell it taste it today my dear brothers and sisters one
[26:10]of the symptoms of those who have coveted 19 is what they
[26:14]cannot taste or smell this is probably something that we take for
[26:19]granted how many times do we actually sit and say you know
[26:23]what thank you allah for giving me the ability to taste the
[26:26]ability to smell we don't thank allah for these things we take
[26:29]these things for granted but we see when we fall ill that's
[26:34]when we remember that's when we know the value of something as
[26:37]small as tasting those people who can't taste they come and they
[26:41]they put a buffet in front of them they put the best
[26:44]food in front of them they won't know the flavor they won't
[26:47]taste it that's it this is what happens to people this is
[26:51]why the hadith says two namas two blessings that people take for
[27:00]granted what are they asaha health and safety and security let us
[27:06]thank allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for all of these blessings so allah
[27:13]says look at your food this has one meaning looking at your
[27:24]food another very important meaning is is the tafsir of the imams
[27:28]of the bait and that is that every single person should look
[27:34]at their knowledge because food is the nutrition of the body but
[27:40]there's a nutrition for your soul for your mind for your heart
[27:44]and that is the sources of knowledge look at the knowledge the
[27:59]input that you're taking who are you taking it from when it
[28:02]comes to food we're very careful we go on a diet we
[28:05]filter no i eat this food i don't eat this we're very
[28:10]picky because that impacts our health and this is something that's we
[28:13]should rightfully be doing so and this is why islam also has
[28:18]dietary restrictions we have to eat halal the the healthy food today
[28:22]some people are saying i don't know if it's scientifically proven or
[28:27]not but it's the food because people eating bad food that this
[28:31]virus emerged now i don't know how accurate that is but there
[28:35]is yes uh there is a possibility a lot of our illnesses
[28:37]are because of the food that we eat now whether covid19 also
[28:41]emerged from food people eating food that is unhealthy or not good
[28:46]that's another issue but a lot of our illnesses if you have
[28:50]heart disease if you have diabetes if you have liver problems stomach
[28:52]problems it all goes back to the food that you eat so
[28:54]you have to look at the food be careful with the diet
[28:58]that you're eating but also just as people are careful with the
[29:02]food that they're putting in their body be careful with the knowledge
[29:06]that you're taking in because that word that you hear that sermon
[29:10]that lecture that piece of advice that knowledge that you heard that
[29:14]will have an impact on your soul that will have an impact
[29:17]on you this is why my dear brothers and sisters we have
[29:21]to filter the information that we are consuming we're consuming a lot
[29:25]of information it's not just lectures or things like that when you're
[29:29]watching tv when you're watching netflix when you're watching movies you're watching
[29:33]tick tocks that's all information coming towards you and you're consuming that
[29:37]information and everything that you see will have an impact on your
[29:41]on your soul it will have an impact on your salah it
[29:44]will have an impact on your identity you looked at something haram
[29:48]maybe that night you will not be able to pray salafi late
[29:51]you heard something haram maybe your prayer it will not give you
[29:57]that spirituality that you wanted a lot of people they come and
[29:59]they say i don't feel my prayer i don't feel the spirituality
[30:02]maybe it's because of all of the information all of this this
[30:06]uh all of that that we're consuming this information so we have
[30:10]to be very careful when it comes to religion especially now sometimes
[30:15]say for example someone came and gave you wrong piece of advice
[30:19]on business on building a house on a job on school or
[30:25]something like that that's not the end of the world but my
[30:27]dear brothers and sisters when it comes to your achara when it
[30:31]comes to your religion be very careful who is the one who
[30:34]you're taking your religion from this is why we insist that the
[30:39]the religion of islam should come from the pure sources from rasool
[30:44]allah and from the bait because the albeit they are the ones
[30:50]who give us the accurate tafsir of the quran while others did
[30:53]not give the accurate substitute of the quran and this is what
[30:57]imam al-baqarah is trying to say look at your knowledge where did
[31:02]you get it from meaning the knowledge with regards to your religion
[31:04]but some people when it comes to religion they're careless if it's
[31:09]taxes if it's health no i have to find the best doctor
[31:11]i have to find the best accountant i have to find the
[31:15]best this person and that person but when it comes to religion
[31:17]it's okay you know all roads lead to rome everyone goes to
[31:19]paradise who am i to come and speak on behalf of god
[31:23]i have to go and do research because i'm going to be
[31:27]asked on the day of judgment why did you pray this way
[31:29]why did you do this why did you do that and i
[31:32]have to have a reason then allah says so carrying on with
[31:50]the discussion of the creation and the organization of allah allah says
[31:55]who is the one who brought down the water the water allah
[32:01]has made it pour down when you think of food how did
[32:05]your food come from where did your food come whether you're a
[32:10]vegetarian or you eat meat all of the food that we have
[32:13]all of the food that we consume needs water the plants need
[32:17]water the animals whatever it is it needs water who is the
[32:20]one who brought down this water who is the one that made
[32:24]the water drinkable it's allah subhanahu ta'ala and na sabna brings water
[32:30]from the clouds from the mountains from the rivers from the springs
[32:34]even the mountain the water that's in the in the ocean allah
[32:38]subhanahu ta'ala has created a filtration system where it evaporates by the
[32:43]clouds and then it comes and it rains on a land that
[32:46]is very far away from the ocean allah did this [Applause] and
[32:57]then we broke open the earth splitting it with sprouts then the
[33:03]earth breaks open here scholars they have given several different interpretations one
[33:08]as the earth splits open when the plant you know the small
[33:13]plant that's when a plant is growing this giant tree it was
[33:17]a small plant it was very tiny the first day it grew
[33:20]it was a seed when it grows that small plant it comes
[33:25]and it rips through the earth rips through the soil until it
[33:28]comes out and then it becomes a giant tree so and so
[33:35]then we broke open the earth this is one meaning another meaning
[33:39]is when the human being when they're plowing they break the earth
[33:43]and then you break it and then you put the seed in
[33:48]there that is also another meaning a third meaning is that the
[33:51]earth was infertile at a time even right now there are places
[33:57]there are pl places of land that are infertile they're all rock
[34:01]who is the one who came and placed the sand the soil
[34:05]that is fertile soil that is healthy soil to grow plants and
[34:11]vegetation it is allah subhanahu ta'ala foreign and cost to grow within
[34:24]it grain these grains this wheat this uh the flour and the
[34:30]wheat and all of the grains that we the boob the the
[34:33]grains that we that we eat who is the one who grows
[34:39]them in but today all people all people they eat the grains
[34:42]from the earth they eat from the wheat and the flower and
[34:45]the barley and all of these things you we need it for
[34:49]survival and grapes and several times in the quran allah talks about
[34:59]grapes because of how healthy they are how good for you how
[35:02]nutritious different scholars have given different tafseer of what's gov some say
[35:09]it's the vegetation that you eat raw you don't need to cook
[35:12]it you eat it raw um some say ibn abbas he has
[35:17]a hadith he says it's the date it's others they say it's
[35:21]the it's the um the vegetation that grows on the ground like
[35:25]cucumber like watermelon like onions like potatoes the ones that grow on
[35:31]the ground those are the avba something that you can hold on
[35:34]so that's also a meaning olives and these this is mentioned in
[35:42]the quran now there's everything is the creation of god the apples
[35:45]and the oranges and all of the fruits and all of that
[35:49]but allah mentions for example they tuned several times in the quran
[35:52]olives why because it's very healthy dates uh um olives and dates
[36:01]allah talks about it says the tree the palm tree but that
[36:05]is referring to the to the um to the dates and dates
[36:10]are also very healthy you could survive off of dates you could
[36:13]survive off of dates because they have all of the nutrition in
[36:20]them and they are very important fruits and gardens of dense shrubbery
[36:26]farms filled with trees meaning that that's what god created you go
[36:28]and you look at farms they're dense with trees all of the
[36:30]vegetation and there are billions of types of trees who's the one
[36:34]who created all of those allah subhanahu ta'ala this is food and
[36:48]enjoyment provision for you and for your grazing livestock the wafake for
[36:56]your livestock and here there's an interesting hadith and this is narrated
[37:00]in sunni books and shia books and it says that um when
[37:06]this verse um when this verse he was reading it and he
[37:24]was explaining it so he says he recited this verse he was
[37:32]explaining this he said everyone knows what he has then once he
[37:38]once he said abba he didn't know what abbas so he said
[37:45]to himself he said in front of people that that um here
[38:03]they and here some of the uh sunni scholars in their books
[38:08]of tafsir they they bring out this verse and they give the
[38:11]example of um not knowing what the definition of abba is to
[38:15]say that you should not do tafsir of the quran when you
[38:20]don't know and another hadith it says that this is an abu
[38:24]bakr when he was asked about this he says i don't know
[38:36]some things about the book of allah there are some meanings i
[38:39]don't know about the book of allah so i'm not going to
[38:42]give my own tafsir and they use this to say that you
[38:45]should not give the tafsir of the quran when you don't know
[38:49]now yes we also say this but what's strange is that someone
[38:54]who's claiming to be the imam of the muslims someone who's claiming
[38:57]to be the leader and the khalifa how is it that the
[39:01]khalifa of rasulullah does not know something as simple as so imam
[39:08]he heard that um said that and then imam ali he came
[39:13]and he explained he says he says it's interpreted in the quran
[39:23]as an enjoyment for you and for your livestock so he said
[39:29]the the the provision for you the enjoyment for you is the
[39:32]faq the fruits and abba that um didn't know what it means
[39:34]he said it's the food for the livestock because the second verse
[39:38]it says it's a provision for your livestock for your graving livestock
[39:43]that's the abba so imam ali he came and he gave the
[39:48]tafsir of what is and that is the food that is for
[39:51]the livestock the grass that's for the livestock and here there's a
[39:54]very important point and that is that the imam is the one
[39:58]who knows the tafseer of the quran the imam should not be
[40:01]someone who says oh i don't know that's absurd of this verse
[40:03]or that verse otherwise this person is not the imam and this
[40:06]is our whole argument that the imam is not just someone who
[40:11]is chosen by people the imam is the one who is chosen
[40:13]by allah who has been given the knowledge of the quran and
[40:17]the knowledge of the hadith and the knowledge of islam by allah
[40:21]my dear brothers and sisters we're going to stop here verse 32
[40:29]and insha allah in the next session we will conclude the surah
