[0:00]Muhammad elevated Kareem isma is we are at verse 115 of suratah
[0:33]and inshallah we are coming closer to the end of this Surah
[0:38]the Surah talks about the tests that the prophets went through one
[0:47]of the greatest prophets Prophet Musa salaam he was tested many times
[0:52]and Allah shows him how he was tested now another Prophet is
[1:01]tested and this Prophet is our father Prophet Adam where Allah says
[1:07]in the Quran asthma and indeed we made a covenant there was
[1:18]a pact between Allah and Adam but Adam he forgot and Allah
[1:29]says we did not see that determination in him now what was
[1:35]the Covenant that was between Allah and Adam one opinion says that
[1:43]Allah tells him do not eat from the tree that was the
[1:51]Covenant Allah tells him don't come near the street and eat from
[1:57]it and if you eat from the tree then you will lose
[1:59]that protection you will lose that immunity the Allah has given you
[2:04]another opinion says the tree is just an example of a test
[2:12]the Covenant that God made with Adam is do not be fooled
[2:20]by shaytan do not be fooled by Satan that is the greater
[2:24]test in life and here both of these opinions work because Adam
[2:31]he was fooled by shaitaan and therefore he ended up eating from
[2:38]the tree now what kind of a tree was it of course
[2:40]this is not in the Quran Allah just says they ate from
[2:45]the tree what kind of a tree was it it was not
[2:51]an apple tree it was not it was wheat according according to
[2:55]some of the narrations of the adult bait it was a wheat
[3:01]tree so this is this is um According to some of the
[3:08]Hadith now we tweets not weed marijuana no no no weed tree
[3:14]so here of course maybe if it was weed it would be
[3:18]we would kind of understand why Allah would say that but the
[3:24]the the reason was that Allah made an order sometimes we don't
[3:29]understand the order of Allah sometimes God makes something Halal and to
[3:34]make something Haram some people say why is this Halal why is
[3:40]this Haram just because we don't comprehend the reason that does not
[3:45]mean and that is not sufficient reason for us to not obey
[3:49]Allah we have to do we have to do abodea and worship
[3:55]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala but here Adam he forgot he was fooled
[4:03]by shaytan and Allah says we didn't see that he had that
[4:11]strong willpower and determination because he ended up getting fooled by shaytan
[4:16]now one question when Adam ate from the tree did Adam commit
[4:25]a sin no no here in the view of the adult bait
[4:29]in the view of the imams of the advaith we believe that
[4:35]the prophets of Allah and Adam was indeed a prophet in need
[4:40]that the prophets of Allah cannot sin cannot not that they are
[4:48]forced not to sin but that they do not sin because Allah
[4:53]sent them to be guides to teach people to show people the
[5:00]way and therefore the prophets of Allah do not sin and Allah
[5:04]says in the Quran talking about Ibrahim [Music] Allah says God tested
[5:13]Ibrahim with several tests and Ibrahim passed the test when he passed
[5:18]the test what does Ibrahim say Allah tells them Allah tells them
[5:22]we have made you an Imam he says what about my progeny
[5:30]I want this position of Imam at this position of prophethood to
[5:33]be passed on to my progeny and Ibrahim many of his sons
[5:36]were prophets is yakub and Yusuf and the brothers of Yusuf and
[5:48]Zechariah and all of the prophets of Allah so he says he
[5:53]says what about my progeny what does Allah tell him an oppressor
[6:02]does not take up the position of being a Divine representative of
[6:08]Allah so here what did Adam do Adam did not sin disobey
[6:15]Allah because that would be Haram and that would take him out
[6:18]of the rank of prophethood but there is something else that Scholars
[6:23]say is possible and that is something called turkey what is it
[6:30]means that you have the priority you have the best and then
[6:37]you have the good you have the accepted okay when sometimes it
[6:42]could be possible that the prophets are also in ranks that someone
[6:47]doesn't do the best but that doesn't mean that what they did
[6:50]is wrong it's like for example you have a a child in
[6:55]school they didn't get an A-Plus but they all they got a
[6:58]b or they gotta a or they gotta see they passed they
[7:03]didn't fail they didn't do something wrong so here this is something
[7:07]that is acceptable and then there's another another way to look at
[7:11]it and they say then why does Allah speak of Adam in
[7:17]such a harsh way here Allah says disobeyed then they say okay
[7:30]what about when Allah says disobeyed his Lord here they say there's
[7:37]this concept it's called abrar Ian it means that it means that
[7:49]the the the those who are so close to God when they
[7:54]don't do the best this is bad and compared to the other
[8:01]people Allah wants the prophets to be at the same at a
[8:04]very high level not at the normal level because you're a prophet
[8:08]you have been given knowledge by Allah you have to be the
[8:11]best and sometimes Allah chastises and Allah you know perhaps says something
[8:16]about a prophet like he did this and he did that not
[8:21]because what they did is wrong but from this this philosophy what
[8:27]does this mean this means that sometimes you might be yelling at
[8:32]someone but you're not actually yelling at that person who do you
[8:37]want to hear you want other people to hear you want other
[8:41]people to hear so this is say this is saying that I
[8:47]want you guys to hear this so Allah for us if God
[8:51]is speaking to of Adam in this way then what would God
[8:53]speak to us if we do wrong so here what is the
[8:59]story of Adam and he didn't have the determination so now Allah
[9:12]is taking us a little bit back first Adam uh and then
[9:23]Allah says in the Quran and remember when we said to the
[9:31]angels prostrate to Adam so they all did but not Iblis refusing
[9:38]arrogantly so Allah is trying to tell us that later on Adam
[9:41]ended up falling in the traps of Iblis but Iblis was the
[9:45]one who had a problem with him meaning Allah wanted to raise
[9:52]the rank of Adam Allah is honoring Adam but indeed Adam later
[9:56]on he ended up listening to the one who refused to refuse
[10:00]to obey God's order now this sujud to Adam in Islam do
[10:07]we have prostration to anyone other than Allah can we prostrate to
[10:12]anyone other than God then why would Allah order the angels to
[10:17]prostrate to Adam here Scholars say that the sujud that the Angels
[10:27]were ordered to prostrate to Adam this was not a sujood of
[10:33]this no it's not a prostration of worship this was a prostration
[10:39]to Allah and the Qibla was who Adam because the order ultimately
[10:48]came from Allah it was God's command it wasn't Adam telling people
[10:52]worship me it wasn't Adam telling people prostrate to me Allah is
[10:58]the one who told them to prostrate to Adam why because Allah
[11:03]wanted to show the angels he wanted to show the angels that
[11:10]you may be perfect you may be perfect the Angels they don't
[11:12]make sense the Angels they follow and they obey Allah all of
[11:17]the commands of God however Allah wants to show the angels that
[11:23]in my view there could be someone that could even be greater
[11:29]than the Angels how and that is through two gifts that God
[11:34]has given the human being and even the angels don't have the
[11:39]angels have half of it one of it Allah gives gives the
[11:44]human being the akan the ability to comprehend and the ability to
[11:48]make sound decisions now the Angels they're full they're 100 however there's
[11:53]something that the humans have that the Angels don't have and what
[11:58]is that Free Will Choice the Angels they do whatever God orders
[12:02]them to do they don't have that free will but we the
[12:07]humans we choose if right now you're a Believer if right now
[12:12]you choose to pray or you choose to not pray you choose
[12:14]to fast you choose to not fast you choose to give sadaqa
[12:18]you choose to not give sadaka this was a choice that you
[12:19]made this was not forced upon you and that choice gives value
[12:25]to your Iman that's what Allah values in a person when they
[12:32]make the choice to do the right thing and here the Angels
[12:37]they were prostrating to Adam they all prostrated right away but then
[12:41]there was one who refused to prostrate and that was Iblis but
[12:48]at least he was not an angel iblees is made out as
[12:50]a Jinn and the gender they're made out of smokeless fire so
[12:55]here this is so you have the humans that are made out
[13:01]of the soil and then you have the angels that are made
[13:07]out of some type of light the Allah created and then you
[13:10]have the Jinn now Iblis he made his way in the ranks
[13:15]of the Angels he says that Iblis was a worshiper where he
[13:24]used to worship God so much that the Angels thought he was
[13:31]one of them he says one sajda to God he used to
[13:37]do to Allah he used to prostrate to God one such that
[13:39]to God lasted six thousand years this is Iblis now Allah tells
[13:47]him to Adam and he refuses it I'm not really obeying and
[13:54]worshiping God and this becomes a problem because at the end of
[13:58]the day our job is to have a bad worship and that
[14:03]means that we don't question what Allah has ordered us to do
[14:07]if God ordered me to do something I knew it just like
[14:09]Allah ordered Ibrahim what did Allah order Ibrahim to do something that
[14:13]doesn't even make sense Slaughter his own son Slaughter his own son
[14:20]people are like why would why would God ask Ibrahim to do
[14:24]that but at the end of the day Allah is the one
[14:28]who gave Ismail to Ibrahim and Allah gave Ibrahim his life and
[14:31]Allah is the one who takes the life this was a test
[14:35]from Allah for Ibrahim so here Allah tested iblies and the angels
[14:41]the Angels first when God created Adam they were surprised why would
[14:48]why would Allah favor a creation that is beneath them a creation
[14:55]that has the potential to disobey Allah tells them in I know
[15:00]what you don't know but then Iblis he says no he says
[15:07]I refuse to do sujud meaning God is telling him do this
[15:12]and he refuses so now Allah wants to tell at least tells
[15:17]God it tells God I will worship you in any way you
[15:22]want just don't make me do to Adam because I'm better than
[15:27]Adam but Allah tells him no you do them and he refuses
[15:53]he says Allah tells him Allah warned Adam o Adam meaning he
[16:03]is your enemy and the enemy of your wife don't let them
[16:15]don't let him kick you both out of Jannah and then you
[16:22]will suffer the hardship you will suffer the hardship does Allah get
[16:26]hurt does something bad happen to God if we if we obey
[16:29]shaytan does not bother God meaning are we hurting God nothing happens
[16:37]to Allah however we are the ones who face the harm this
[16:41]is why Allah tells him don't let him fool you and your
[16:47]wife because you both will suffer the consequences and Allah tells us
[16:50]in the Quran do not worship shaitaan is there anyone that actually
[17:03]worships shaytan probably some people that worship however in this verse is
[17:11]talking about what obedience to shaytan obedience when we follow because the
[17:19]Hadith of rasulullah he says if you listen to someone you're in
[17:27]a way you're worshiping because because you're listening to the orders of
[17:32]this person what they're telling you to do so if someone is
[17:34]listening to shaitaan then that means this person ends up worshiping shaitaan
[17:40]and this is what shaytan does shaytan tries to distract us and
[17:45]bring us away from the hack and away from the truth now
[17:51]Allah says we told Adam and Adam was placed before when when
[17:58]Allah created Adam Allah placed Adam in a place in a Jannah
[18:05]what does Jannah mean a garden or a heaven or a place
[18:10]that is very comfortable for him was this was this the Jannah
[18:16]that everyone will go to at the end of time no no
[18:20]this was not Jannah because meaning the Eternal Paradise that shaytan cannot
[18:28]enter that no Disobedience can take place in that so this was
[18:34]a place that Allah and and shaytan cannot fool Adam in that
[18:39]place so Allah created Adam he places him in a place where
[18:45]he's comfortable and Allah says in the Quran in verse 118 that
[18:47]what are the four things that God gave Adam and Hawa in
[18:54]that comfortable place we're giving you comfort where you don't go hungry
[19:02]you're not going to feel the hunger and you're never going to
[19:08]feel that you're not clothed you're always going to be covered and
[19:13]protected and clothing they give us a type of protection they give
[19:16]us a type of beautification they cover our body so you don't
[19:23]go hungry and you will never go thirsty and you will never
[19:32]be without a cover that is the sun is bothering you and
[19:38]the sun is hurting you and these are the four basic life
[19:40]Necessities if you have these things you're going to be comfortable you
[19:45]know hunger no thirst and you have um no no hunger no
[19:52]thirst you're clothed and you have a house over your what else
[19:55]do you want in life you have all of this and you're
[19:58]in a Jannah you're in a paradise a place that is very
[20:04]beautiful and then Allah tells him if you obey shaytan you will
[20:07]have tashka meaning you are going to face hardship and difficulty so
[20:12]Allah tells Adam if you want these four protections if you want
[20:15]the immunity from Allah from the tree the moment you eat from
[20:21]the tree you're going to lose all of that protection and you're
[20:23]going to come down to this Dunya what is this Dunya why
[20:28]is it called Dunya because it's Dania because it's low Dunya means
[20:33]the the lower life so this he comes down to this Dunya
[20:42]now verse 120 Allah says in the Quran shaytan comes and deceives
[20:59]shaytan comes and receives Adam how does he deceive him he doesn't
[21:06]come and tell him hey Adam go and eat from the tree
[21:07]God told you not to eat from man I'm telling you to
[21:11]eat from the tree that's not how shaitaan deceives us a bliss
[21:15]deceives us through ways of tricking us this is why Allah says
[21:23]shaytan makes the ugly makes the sin look beautiful this is why
[21:30]a lot of people that do wrong a lot of people that
[21:34]sin they try to justify it in their hearts oh yes I
[21:36]made this Haram money but I'm going to give sadaka later on
[21:40]but I'm going to go and give charity I ate the Haram
[21:46]food but this they always trying to justify always trying to um
[21:52]give an excuse so what does Iblis tell Adam he tells them
[22:05]oh Adam you are a mortal meaning that you eventually you're going
[22:12]to die Allah has created the human being that all humans die
[22:16]so he comes and he tells him I'm going to lead you
[22:23]to the tree of immoral the tree of immortality meaning you eat
[22:27]from that tree and you're never going to die and a kingdom
[22:35]that has never gone away and this these are the two weaknesses
[22:42]of the human being having the hearse the attachment to this Dunya
[22:48]wanting more and more and where we want to remain here forever
[22:53]this is the weakness of the human being this is I've wasted
[23:08]my life in having hope this is what we want this is
[23:14]the weakness of the human being we want to remain forever and
[23:17]Iblis he knew the weakness of the human being this is why
[23:22]right now a lot of people that end up sinning that end
[23:27]up oppressing other people they end up stealing someone else's wealth they
[23:31]end up taking money wrongfully why because they want to have more
[23:35]wealth some people they end up they think that this is going
[23:38]to make them last forever but but Adam when Iblis came to
[23:45]him Adam knew that this was Iblis and he knew that this
[23:48]was wrong but in other verses in the Quran Allah says that
[23:53]Iblis he came in a way where he began to swear in
[23:59]the name of Allah that he is an honest person that he
[24:05]is just trying to give them advice Allah says in the Quran
[24:13]now he did Kasam Adam was innocent Adam was gullible just like
[24:21]us we someone comes tells us a few words here and there
[24:24]and we fall for the traps of other people sometimes so Adam
[24:30]he never thought that someone is going to swear in the name
[24:34]of God and be a liar this was something that he never
[24:40]thought because Allah says in the Quran so what did they end
[24:47]up doing they ended up eating from the tree in verse 121
[24:50]Allah says in the Quran mean they both ate today in the
[25:17]in the Judo Christian in the Bible who does who do they
[25:23]blame on eating from the tree they blame Hawa they blame the
[25:29]woman always the woman gets the blame right here Allah says they
[25:33]both ate from the tree also another another place in the Bible
[25:39]where we see it is not fair to the woman they come
[25:43]and they say that was created from the ribs of Adam meaning
[25:48]from whatever God created Adam and then he said okay I have
[25:53]a little bit extra let me make Hawa is this how is
[25:55]this the planning of God meaning there was something extra so God
[25:58]says let's just make it's like we have we cooked some we
[26:02]cooked some laham and then we have a little bit more we're
[26:04]going to do we're going to make another dish and when they
[26:14]came when they were tested they both ate from the tree not
[26:19]Adam or not Hawa they both ate from the tree but as
[26:24]soon as they ate from the tree what happened so then as
[26:31]soon as they ate from the tree they were exposed and their
[26:37]nakedness and their body began to show and Adam became embarrassed from
[26:44]Hawa and Hawa became embarrassed from Adam so what did they end
[26:47]up doing they took the leaves of the of the um of
[26:54]the heaven and they covered themselves with it we mentioned earlier that
[27:07]this was not a sin this was not an act of Disobedience
[27:10]but this was something that he should not have done but he
[27:16]ended up doing so Adam Allah says that it was a beliefs
[27:24]that refused to do Adam he ended up fooling Adam now verse
[27:27]122 Allah says in the Quran foreign they are Adam is one
[27:49]of those who is name named as one of the baka-un one
[27:53]of those who continued to cry why did he cry he cried
[27:55]because he lost that privilege that he had he lost that immunity
[27:59]and um here Adam started repenting he started repenting to Allah then
[28:11]his Lord chose him for his grace then Allah chose him to
[28:17]be the prophet and the messenger and accepted his repentance what was
[28:22]the repentance of Adam [Music] there was an exchange of words between
[28:42]Allah and Adam once he said those fata body fat is fat
[28:48]in the teacher meaning he said these words then God forgave him
[28:52]here we have in the Sunni and Shia Traditions that Adam he
[29:04]asked Allah to forgive him by the love and the position of
[29:09]rasulullah and then some other narrations also in in some Sunni narrations
[29:15]not all of them it says that the rasulullah and the Allah
[29:19]a the one of the Sunni scholar he says Adam he began
[29:29]to say oh Allah I ask you by the love and by
[29:38]the position of Muhammad that you forgive me so Allah tells him
[29:46]how do you know Muhammad I haven't created Adam is the father
[29:53]Adam is Prophet Muhammad is from the from the descendants of Adam
[29:56]So Adam his reply is foreign [Music] there is no God other
[30:38]than Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah so I knew
[30:41]that he was the greatest of your creation because you put his
[30:47]name next to your name meaning the next in the name of
[30:50]Allah subhanahu ta'ala then Allah tells him he says yes I will
[31:05]forgive you because of him and he is and if it was
[31:09]not for him I would not have created you because the purpose
[31:12]of creation Allah created the human being to reach The Highest Potential
[31:17]Allah are the most complete of God's creation this is the complete
[31:44]and son now verse 123 Allah says in the Quran after God
[31:50]forgave him foreign Allah said descend both of you from here together
[32:18]meaning Allah sent Adam and Hawa to Earth and who else shaytan
[32:27]also was kicked out so shaytan also he was kept kicked out
[32:32]and then Allah says you are going to be enemies of each
[32:38]other meaning one tafsir said the the human and at least your
[32:47]enemies you're always going to be having conflicting of Interest Iblis is
[32:51]going to try to mislead you and um you're going to try
[32:58]to protect yourself another way is you're all enemies at the end
[33:03]of the day even the human beings when you stand before Allah
[33:14]so on that day no one on the day of judgment no
[33:19]one is going to care about who your blood relative is who
[33:23]this person is who that person is everyone just wants to be
[33:27]saved everyone just wants to make it to heaven so foreign even
[33:47]the creation even the human even maybe Brothers maybe husband and wife
[33:52]whatever it is they're going to be enemies to one another why
[33:56]because this person is going to say you made me go to
[33:58]have you made me go to hell you made me suffer you
[34:01]made me you Delight my prayer you did this and you did
[34:04]that all relationships will turn into animosity except the pious so here
[34:19]Allah says in the Quran foreign God says I will send prophets
[34:33]and Messengers and books and and so many methods of guiding people
[34:35]whoever follows my guidance this person will neither go astray in this
[34:43]life nor suffer in the afterlife meaning in this life you're not
[34:48]going to get lost and then the afterlife they will not suffer
[34:56]the consequences now someone might say if Allah accepted the tawba of
[35:02]Adam then why did why did God send Adam to the Earth
[35:04]if God accepted his Toba then he should have just kept him
[35:09]where he was here Allah accepts the tawba but that does not
[35:15]mean that we suffer the consequences of our own actions say for
[35:21]example someone goes and they do drugs they take medicine they overdose
[35:26]on medicine this is Haram taking drugs that is Haram you ask
[35:34]for forgiveness Allah will forgive you but those drugs are they still
[35:38]going to impact your body they're still going to be in your
[35:45]body that's it this is why eating Haram food if we eat
[35:48]Haram food sometimes we see the consequences sometimes we don't eating Haram
[35:52]food maybe I don't see the physical consequences of it but that's
[35:57]why we have a Hadith that says that when someone eats Haram
[36:01]food their Dua will not be accepted for 40 days it doesn't
[36:04]mean that you when you pray your prayer you can't pray and
[36:09]you shouldn't pray no you have to you have to pray but
[36:12]when we say oh Allah I want this oh Allah grant me
[36:14]happiness oh Allah grant me this in my life Allah is going
[36:19]to say this person their their soul is so tainted that their
[36:22]Dua does not reach Allah now of course God is always listening
[36:28]if someone is truly regretful and repents to Allah Allah will forgive
[36:32]this person but most of the times we suffer the consequences of
[36:38]our own actions this is It's called meaning that when I do
[36:43]something God will forgive me but I suffer those consequences God tells
[36:46]me respect your parents if I don't respect my parents that's Haram
[36:52]and what is the consequences of not respecting my parents I'm not
[36:57]going to have a healthy relationship I'm not going to be happy
[36:59]and in the afterlife I'm going to suffer so here this is
[37:05]um this is what Allah says [Music] now Allah says I'm going
[37:31]to send you I'm going to bring you all down on Earth
[37:36]and I'm going to send you guidance but whoever rejects the guidance
[37:41]if you accept the guidance then you're not going to go astray
[37:44]in this life and in the afterlife but if you reject it
[37:46]what's going to happen if you reject the thicker the reminders of
[37:57]God then you will have a horrible and disgraceful life a miserable
[38:04]life foreign and on the day of judgment this person will be
[38:10]raised as blind remember we said yesterday so the person will say
[38:19]Ya Allah why did you resurrect me as blind I was seeing
[38:23]and I was Basir I used to see Allah tells him because
[38:34]we sent you our signs and you rejected them therefore today you
[38:41]will be from those who are rejected and therefore you will not
[38:44]even be seen and you will not be able to see see
[38:48]the thicker what's the greatest thicker and reminder from Allah it's a
[38:59]reminder so now Allah says now here this verse this verse some
[39:09]people they use it to prove barzak in fact in a Hadith
[39:16]from the imams they ask the Imam is there what is the
[39:21]place after someone dies you're in a place Catholics they call it
[39:24]Purgatory but Purgatory is only bad it's only a negative it's only
[39:31]suffering for us is either a good place or a bad place
[39:43]it depends on your actions so here what's the proof for barzak
[39:46]Allah says in the Quran this difficult life because some people you
[39:58]see in this life they don't remember God and they're very comfortable
[40:03]they have a very comfortable life when is the suffering that Naisha
[40:06]is in the grave foreign the family and the people that were
[40:26]punished with known to be punished they're going to face the Nar
[40:47]and during the day and at night and on the day of
[40:52]judgment so what is here the Imam says this is in the
[40:59]grave in the Allah so this is um Allah says in the
[41:05]Quran then verse 127 and we will conclude here this is how
[41:26]people will face and suffer the consequences of their actions and they
[41:35]do Israel and they do not believe they transgress and they do
[41:39]not believe and they do not accept the signs of God and
[41:44]the punishments is much more severe meaning it's not only not only
[41:52]suffering in this life for the kafir but it's also on the
[41:55]day of judgment we ask Allah to bless you all to accept
[42:01]from all of us and we ask you all to recite Surat
[42:03]for The Souls of all of them especially those who have sponsored
[42:10]these programs
