[0:02][Music] question that some people have is when it comes to my

[0:21]children how do I encourage them to pray some find difficulty when

[0:27]children or when certain youngsters such as girls come to the age

[0:32]of nine and it is why chip upon them to pray and

[0:37]for example they refuse to perform the salah or they say to

[0:43]their mothers and fathers I'm going to pray in my room they

[0:46]go to their room and they don't pray and there are some

[0:52]of our sisters today who have years of of our Salah to

[0:55]perform because when they were young when they were nine ten eleven

[1:00]twelve they did not perform their prayers and so this is a

[1:07]struggle that some of the parents face how do we encourage our

[1:11]youngsters to perform their prayers what are the tips that can be

[1:15]presented in this regard number one if we want our own children

[1:22]to be continuously performing their Salah then we must be leading by

[1:27]example if we want our children to pray on time we must

[1:30]pray on time if we want our children to wake up forfeiture

[1:36]we must pray forfeiture if we want our children not to miss

[1:39]their prayers we must not miss our praise therefore children learn much

[1:44]more by action than by words they will emulate parents have to

[1:50]be the best role models they have to walk the walk as

[1:53]well as talk the talk yes without a shadow of a doubt

[1:58]number one number two we must practice what is known as positive

[2:01]reinforcement especially for young children what does that mean from a young

[2:07]age we should be encouraging encouraging them to perform the salah by

[2:11]rewarding them and saying this reward is not from us the reward

[2:19]from God is great but this is a small thing to say

[2:24]well done mark these words what does that mean positive reinforcement means

[2:30]that sometimes we have these charts sometimes we have ways in which

[2:34]the child somehow has something to look forward to when they complete

[2:37]a week of Prayer they are rewarded they are encouraged they are

[2:42]congratulated number three of great importance we must start from a young

[2:47]age please mark these words some of our brothers and sisters believe

[2:54]that we can delay it until the maximum later years just before

[3:30]of positive encouragement from early ages sometimes yes we can dictate what

[3:36]age we recommend and encourage them it should not be something that

[3:40]is forced it should not be something that is presented with aggression

[3:46]because they will then resent it but rather it which should be

[3:51]presented with love with consideration and understanding number four of we must

[3:56]encourage our youngsters to understand why they pray please mark these words

[4:02]why is it that I stand before God the Almighty what is

[4:07]the purpose of Salah what is it that I am saying in

[4:12]Salah what is the meaning of Santa what is the meaning of

[4:15]Surat al-fatiha the chapters that I recite do I understand the tafsir

[4:19]of them can I explain to my children then meaning behind these

[4:25]chapters can I be equipped with that or not this is of

[4:30]great importance because if the child is enlightened on why they do

[4:34]what they do they will perform the deeds with much more encouragement

[4:42]yes with much more know-how similarly of great importance number five is

[4:48]to infuse into our children the love of God this love of

[4:53]Allah is a very powerful tool we are told when an individual

[5:00]has a love of God everything falls into place and how amazing

[5:03]if a child begins to experience the elixir of the love of

[5:10]God from a young age how amazing marriages I tell you when

[5:13]you and I explained to our children that allah subhanaw taala has

[5:18]blessed us with so many bounties with so many favors he has

[5:24]given us so much that we must be thankful to him for

[5:29]and one of the ways in which we can be thankful is

[5:31]to stand in salah that salah is an expression of gratitude and

[5:38]shakoora towards allah subhanallah wa taala there it is at least something

[5:43]that we can do to express our love to Almighty subhana WA

[5:46]Ta'ala he doesn't need it but we were benefit from it that

[5:51]Salah helps us in the salat eternal fashio even would come surely

[5:54]verily salah prohibits the human being from the performance of what vices

[5:59]and evil all these small pointers will help the child to understand

[6:06]why they should be performing the salaah number 6 of importance is

[6:10]what to perform dwama to ask Allah Ya Allah healthy this is

[6:13]not easy in an age where our children want to be playing

[6:17]ps4 want to be on their phones yes our children want fun

[6:23]and games all the time to be able to inspire them to

[6:25]pray is not an easy process therefore it requires you and I

[6:28]to pray to Allah subhanAllah and one of the means of praying

[8:53]forth a harmonious family relationship based on their obedience to allah subhanaw
