[0:08]You know, we have a center, maybe it's close to us down

[0:11]the street, maybe we don't even go.

[0:13]We got a program.

[0:14]It's like, I'm going to stay home and watch TV.

[0:16]I'm not going to go to the program.

[0:17]And you got these other people never had the chance to go

[0:21]to a center, never went to a program, never prayed in a

[0:25]masid, and they're just one wish is that they could do that.

[0:28]and we have it and we take it for granted you know

[0:31]so I knew the problems that these brothers were facing they were

[0:35]debating these uh Salafi Wahhabi Sun they call themselves Sunnis uh they

[0:39]were debating these people all the time about certain issues I was

[0:43]in there so I know the issues you know infallibility they argue

[0:47]about infallibility of the imams and the prophet about Abu Talib was

[0:52]he a believer or not a believer the way we pray the

[0:56]all these different things um the sufferings that happened, you know, the

[1:00]uh atrocities that happened to Alo Bait and uh they argue if

[1:03]they did happen or they didn't happen and uh if you can

[1:07]prove your beliefs, those Sunnis, if they're a majority, their rule is

[1:11]basically if you can prove it from a book and you can

[1:15]show us that it says this, we'll leave you alone and you

[1:18]can practice it.

[1:19]But if you're just in here doing stuff, you know, and we

[1:22]you can't prove it, then we're not going to let you do

[1:24]it.

[1:24]and if you do it, we're going to make you leave the

[1:27]community by force.

[1:28]So the main thing is proof.

[1:29]You have to prove it.

[1:31]So while I was in jail, I basically tried to educate the

[1:35]new Shia about why we do certain things the way we do.

[1:39]And I I actually wrote the book uh and I put it

[1:42]together when I came home.

[1:43]It's called Mystery of the Shia.

[1:45]Cuz I was always on a daily basis having to teach these

[1:48]people uh the same thing, you know, why we don't fold our

[1:52]arms in salah or why we say um and or these these

[1:56]things like this why we don't say a mean after fat.

[2:00]I found myself repeating it over and over again.

[2:03]So I decided to write it down and make it easier so

[2:05]the next person could come I could just say hey take these

[2:07]notes read them bring them back to me and we'll talk about

[2:10]it.

[2:10]So when I came home I put it all together into a

[2:13]book called Mystery of the Shia.

[2:15]But I started I made these books and the other ones like

[2:19]suffering of the Lobate to make these uh accessible.

[2:21]Well, these are the issues they're dealing with.

[2:24]So, I send these books into the prisons.

[2:26]Like that book, maybe I had to take uh 30 different books

[2:29]to to make all the sources for for the one book.

[2:32]And in prison, you can only have 10 books at a time

[2:35]on your person in your cell.

[2:37]or they'll come in and they'll they'll
