Surah Ikhlas (سوره اخلاص) is one of the most important chapters of the Quran because it speaks of one of the pillars of beliefs of Islam, i.e. the unity and oneness of God or monotheism. It is a chapter that describes God and His attributes and introduces Him to us as He would like us to know Him. Therefore, it is of vital importance for every Muslim to read and try to understand the profound teachings given to us in this chapter. Accordingly, this article delves into this chapter and seeks to provide an understanding, albeit very primary, for it. It touches upon the discussion of tawhid (توحید) , which is the central theme of Surah Ikhlas, its importance and types as well as ikhlas (اخلاص) or sincerity, which is one of the names of the chapter and its connection to monotheism. Supplicating to Allah SWT with the help of the Ahlulbayt (AS)
explained by Sheikh Shabbar Mehdi with English subtitles

In this excerpt of the lecture, Sheikh briefly highlights the significance of relying on the supplications and invocations of the Ahlulbayt (AS) to help us get spiritually closer to Allah SWT. As we are in the holy month of Ramadhan, a month of Dua' and supplications, our Imams (peace be upon them all) have given the great gifts to us in which we should not take it for granted.

Imam Ali's (AS) Saheefa al-Alawiyya, Imam Zain al-Abideen's (AS) Saheefa Sajjadiyya, the Mifatih al-Jinan that contains the marvellous supplications from our beloved Imams (AS) are all valuable gifts in which the Imams (AS) have taught us the best ways to communicate to Allah SWT.

Surely, without these supplications taught to us by our Imams (AS), we would not know how to address our Lord and what words to say to Almighty Allah SWT.

جاء في بعض كتب التفسير أنّ امرأة فرعون تسمّى (آسية بنت مزاحم)، وكانت من بني إسرائيل..
وقد ورد ذكرها في القرآن الكريم في آيتين، الأولى هي قوله تعالى في سورة التحريم: ﴿وَضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا لِلَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا اِمْرَأَةَ فِرْعَوْنَ إِذْ قَالَتْ رَبِّ ابْنِ لِي عِنْدَكَ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَنَجِّنِي مِنْ فِرْعَوْنَ وَعَمَلِهِ وَنَجِّنِي مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ﴾.
والثانية في سورة القصص في معرض السرد لقصة موسى عليه السلام) عندما كان طفلا رضيعا: ﴿وَقَالَتِ امْرَأَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ قُرَّةُ عَيْنٍ لِي وَلَكَ لَا تَقْتُلُوهُ عَسَى أَنْ يَنْفَعَنَا أَوْ نَتَّخِذَهُ وَلَدًا...﴾.
وقد آمنت – تلك السيدة الجليلة - بالله تعالى منذ أن شهدت معجزة موسى (عليه السلام) أمام السحرة، واطمأنَّ قلبها بالإيمان لما كانت تملك من استعداد روحي وصفاء في النفس.
وبمجرد أن اطّلع فرعون على إيمانها نهاها مرات عديدة وأصرّ عليها أن تتخلّى عن رسالة موسى وربه، غير أنّ آسية رفضت الاستسلام لإرادة فرعون بالرغم من كلّ وسائل الترغيب والترهيب التي مورست بحقها.

وأخيرا أمر فرعون أن تعذّب بتثبيت يديها ورجليها بالمسامير، وأن تترك تحت أشعة الشمس الحارقة، مع صخرة كبيرة فوق صدرها ففارقت روحها جسده وهي تناجي ربها عز وجل (رب ابن لي عندك بيتا في الجنة)..
واستحقت آسية أن تكون من سيدات نساء العالمين، فعن النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) أنه قال: «أفضل نساء أهل الجنة: خديجة بنت خويلد، وفاطمة بنت محمد، ومريم بنت عمران، وآسيا بنت مزاحم امرأة فرعون».
