The Whispered Prayers, is a collection of 15 intimate conversations with Allah SWT and the 15 Whispered Prayers are extracted from the book of Imam Zainul Abideen A.S - known as Sahifa Sajjadiya, also known famously as the Psalms of Islam.

Munajaat means "talking" or "having a conversation". In this case, it is the intimate conversations of our Imam with his Lord. Conversing with God regularly is true spirituality, and these conversations between Imam Sajjad (as) and God will really open our eyes. Again, there are conversations for different spiritual states, such as being fearful, hopeful and thankful. Conversing with Allah according to our current spiritual state will only serve to enhance our relationship with him. (al-islam.org)

Is Imam Mahdi (AJTF) pleased with our lifestyle? - Professor Muhammad Shojaee [ENG SUBS]

We will have to make decision in our own selves and give sincere replies how we ourselves are? Are our acts and character satisfactory for the Imam? Are we sincere with his holy being? Are we not making the mistake of regarding ourselves on self-made rank of piety? Is the other believer satisfied with us? Have we fulfilled the right of Imam (AS) and consumed lawful sustenance? Are we lamenting his health and well being? Do we illuminate every gathering with his mention? We will have to take our account that how much we love our Imam.

Can we fully dedicate ourselves to that infallible? We would have to evaluate our days and nights, that our worship is not devoid of his remembrance.

The supplication of the month of Shaaban, the famous Munajat (elegy) has been narrated by the Commander of Faithful Imam Ali A.S. and is one of the most precious mystic supplication.

This supplication contains special etiquette and manners of servant-hood; the manners how to face God Almighty; how to beseech him, how to tell him about heart's secrets; how to open tongue for offering apologies and how to remain hopeful. Also, in this supplication, the meanings of interpretation of God's countenance (Laqa), God's witnessing (Shahood), God's nearness (Qurb) has been described in a delicate manner, which do not leave doubt or confusion for those who are double minded, and those who do not want to believe.

Regarding self awareness which preliminary for Allah's Ma'refat, this Munajat contains most meaningful and surprising points. The recitation of this supplication, especially during the Holy Month of Shabaan as well as through out the year has been strongly recommended.

Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Power (The program list of the A'maal is listed below)

Eve of Destiny (Laylatul Qadr) is the night, which is the most blessed and excellent of all nights. A prayer during this night is superior to the prayer of a thousand months. The destiny for the year is decided on this night. The Angels and Roohul Ameen (a highly dignified Angel) descend on this earth, with the permission of Allah (SWT) & call on the Imam of the time, and what is ordained (by Allah) for everybody is presented before the Imam (May Allah SWT hasten his reappearance). It is reported in Hadith that whoever keeps awake on the nights of Qadr shall have his/her sins forgiven, even if they equal the number of the stars in the heaven.

A'maal of the 19th Night of Ramadhan 1441 (Tuesday 12th May 2020):

1. Recite two Raka’t Salaat, in every Rakat: recite Surah al-Hamd and Surah Ikhlaas 7 times. (For seeking protection against sinning for the seven organs)
2. Istighfar
3. La'an (allahumma il`an qatalata amiri almu'minin)
4. Munajat of Imam Ali (A.S)
5. Duas to be recited on the Night of Qadr
6. A'maal of the Holy Qur'an
7. Ilahi Azomal Balaa
8. Ziyarat of Imam Hussain (A.S) to be recited on the Night of Qadr.

Shaykh Azhar Nasser gives us a narration from the Holy Prophet Muhammad (A.S) which is found in Bihar ul-Anwar of Allamah Majlisi, Volume 52 and page 190 about the 'end of time'.

This narration can be found in other Sunni sources too and the descriptions of the Hadith are consistent with what the Ahlulbayt (A.S) have told us as well.

At the end of the lecture, Shaykh gives us another narration from Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq (A.S). The narration gives us a sense of hope. And it is a narration in which the Imam speaks about the pious and righteous youths that will emerge before the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (A.S) and before the end of time.


Hadith of the Holy Prophet:
ثواب الأعمال: بهذا الاسناد قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: سيأتي زمان على أمتي لا يبقى من القرآن إلا رسمه، ولا من الاسلام إلا اسمه، يسمون به وهم أبعد الناس منه، مساجدهم عامرة، وهي خراب من الهدى، فقهاء ذلك الزمان شر فقهاء تحت ظل السماء، منهم خرجت الفتنة وإليهم تعود.

About Abu Hamza Thumali (r):

His name was Thabit b. Safiya and was known as Abu Hamza Thumali. He was a contemporary (companion) of Imam Ali Zaynul Abideen(a).

Commenting on the worship of his master he said,
“I have never heard that there is a person more ascetic than Ali b. al-Husayn, who caused to weep all those were in his presence when he talked
about asceticism and preaching.”
[Al-Mufid, Al-Amali, p. 117 quoted by Baqir al-Qarashi in The Life of Imam Zaynul Abideen, p109)

He has related that during the month of Ramadhan, Imam as-Sajjad (a) spent a greater part of the night in prayers and when it was the time of beginning of the fast he recited the following dua'a. This Dua has been recorded in the book Misbah and also appears in Shaykh Abbas al-Qummi's Mafatihul Jinaan

Ayatullah Khomeini (r) mentions about this Du‘a:

"Read the invocation of Abu Hamza Thumali as uttered by Imam Sayyid as-Sajideen Zaynul `Abideen (a). Reflect upon its subject matter and think for a while on their words. Nowhere are we required to make a rapid reading of this lengthy supplication without pondering over its meaning. You and I are not blessed with the spiritual state of al-Imam as-Sajjad (a) to be able to recite the whole Dua' in a sustained ecstasy at one time. Try to read one third or one fourth of it every night with feeling and meditate upon its words.”

دعائے ابو حمزہ ثمالی وہ دعا ہے جسے ابو حمزہ ثمالی نے امام سجاد ؑ سے نقل کیا ہے۔ اس وجہ سے ان کے نام کے ساتھ مشہور ہے


یہ دعا نہایت عمدہ اور فصیح الفاظ میں عظیم المرتبت مضامین پر مشتمل ہے جن میں سے صفات خداوند، اسم اعظم، قبر کی تاریکی و تنہائی، قیامت کی ہولناکی، گناہوں کے بوجھ کی سنگینی، پیغمبر اکرم ؐ اور آپ ؐ کے معصوم خاندان کی اطاعت و پیروی کی ضرورت کی طرف اشارہ کیا جا سکتا ہے۔ اس دعا میں خدا کی بارگاہ میں راز و نیاز کے طریقے، توبہ اور تقوی و پرہیزگاری کے آداب و رسوم کی طرف اشارہ کیا گیا ہے۔

یہ دعا ماہ رمضان میں سحر کے اوقات میں پڑھی جاتی ہے اور اس مہینے کی سحر کی دعاؤں میں طویل ترین دعا ہے۔

اس دعا کی مختلف شرحیں لکھی گئی ہیں جن میں شیخ محمدابراہیم سبزواری، مولی محمد تقی بن حسین‌ علی ہروی اصفہانی اور آیت اللہ جوادی آملی کی شرح کا نام لیا جا سکتا ہے۔
