Abu Hamza Thamali s’appelait en réalité Thabit Bin Dinar et Abu Hamza était son kouniyat (surnom). C’était un pieux et noble compagnon de l’Imam Zaynul Abidine (as) qui signifie l’ornement des adorateurs. An Najashi a déclaré à son sujet: « Il était parmi les meilleurs compagnons et était le plus fiable en matière de hadiths. » Ses fils sont morts en martyres aux côtés du grand révolutionnaire, Zayd Ibn Ali et lui mourut en l’an 150 A.H.

Abou Hamza bénéficiait donc d’une grande considération auprès des descendant du Saint Prophète.

Au sujet de cette invocation : Abu Hamza Thumali a rapporté que durant le Mois Béni de Ramadhan, Ali Zaynul Abidine (as) avait l’habitude de passer la plus grande partie de la nuit à prier et au moment du Sohour, il avait l’habitude de réciter cette invocation, qui est aujourd’hui connue sous le nom de Dua Abou Hamza Thamali (L’Invocation d’Abou Hamza Thamali). Cette invocation a été intégrée dans le livre Misbah al-Mutahajjid de Sheikh Tusi qui est considéré par l’ensemble des musulmans comme un narrateur de Hadiths fiable.

About Abu Hamza Thumali (r):
His name was Thabit b. Safiya and was known as Abu Hamza Thumali. He was a close companion of Imam Ali Zaynul Abidin (a). Commenting on the worship of his master he said, “I have never heard that there is a person more ascetic than Ali b. al-Husayn, who caused to weep all those were in his presence when he talked about asceticism and preaching.”

He has related that during the month of Ramadhan, Imam as-Sajjad (a) spent a greater part of the night in prayers and when it was the time of the beginning of the fast he recited the Dua e Abu Hamza Thumali. This supplication has been recorded in the book Misbah and also appears in Shaykh Abbas al- Qummi's Mafatihul Jinan. (source: themuslimvibe)

دعاء مكارم الأخلاق - مرتضى قريش
Dua Makarimul Akhlaq (The Honourable Morals) - English & Urdu Translation recited by Murtada Qurish (with English and Urdu translation)

This supplication has been taught by our fourth Imam, Imam Zainul Abideen A.S and is a clear indication of the loftiness of moral virtues expected of a believer. Islam believes in the elevation of the human being, that a human is a great and dignified creation, far above the animal world. One of the signs of this dignity is the possession of noble and magnanimous qualities.

In order to achieve this behavioural excellence, man needs to overcome his base and selfish attributes, and cultivate noble qualities. In this Dua, the Imam specifies these qualities, and shows how we can try to inculcate (implant) them in ourselves. Taken as a lesson in Akhlaq, the Dua is a wonderful program for those who wish to excel in good manners.

“The most complete in faith among the believers is he who has the best manners.” [Holy Prophet (s)]

“Habituate yourself to magnanimity, and choose for yourself the most excellent of all etiquettes, for virtuous behaviour is a habit. Avoid the most low of all etiquettes, and struggle with yourself to avoid it, for evil is stubborn.” [Imam ‘Ali (a)]

دعائے مکارم الاخلاق کے نام سے مشہور صحیفہ سجادیہ کی بیسویں دعا امام سجاد علیہ السلام کی مشہور دعاوں میں سے ایک ہے۔ اس میں خداوند کریم سے نیک اخلاق کسب کرنے، پسندیدہ اعمال انجام دینے اور اخلاقی برائیوں کو دور کرنے کی درخواست کی گئی ہے۔ اس دعا میں کی گئی درخواستوں میں افکار، رفتار اور کردار سے متعلق اخلاقی پہلو اور اسی طرح سے فردی و سماجی اخلاق شامل ہیں۔ امام سجادؑ نے اس دعا میں انسانی رشد و ارتقاء کے موانع اور شیطانی القاءات کے شر سے نجات کی راہوں کی طرف اشارہ کیا ہے۔

صحیفہ سجادیہ کی اس 20 ویں دعا کو کسب اخلاق و نیک اعمال کے انجام دینے جیسی انسان ساز تعلیمات کی وجہ سے مکارم الاخلاق کا نام دیا گیا ہے۔[خاتمی، آینہ مکارم، ۱۳۶۸ش، ص۱۳؛ ممدوحی کرمانشاهی، شهود و شناخت، ۱۳۸۸ش، ج۲، ص۲۰۷] نقل ہوا ہے کہ امام سجاد (ع) نے اس دعا میں بہت اخلاقی رذایل اور گناہوں کو شمار کیا ہے تا کہ انسان ان سے اجتناب کرے اور اسی طرح سے فضائل اخلاقی کا ذکر بھی کیا ہے اور اللہ سے ان صفات سے متصف ہونے کی دعا کی ہے۔ تا کہ مومنین ان صٖفات سے متصف ہونے میں آپ کی پیروی کریں۔[ترجمہ دعای مکارم الاخلاق پایگاه اطلاع ‌رسانی دفتر آیت الله مکارم شیرازی]

Ayatollah Sayyid Abdul-Karim Kashmiri (ra) was one of the great scholars who was born 1334 AH in Najaf Al Ashraf and he passed away 1419 AH in the month of Dhul-Hijjah. He was the grandson of Sayyid Muhammad Kazim Tabataba'i al-Yazdi, who wrote the book: Al-'Urwa al-wuthqa.
Ayatollah Sayyid Abu al-Qasim al-Khoei, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Qadi, Ayatollah Shaheed Sheikh Ali Muhammad al-Boroujerdi and Ayatollah Sayyid Hadi al-Shirazi were amongst his teachers and guides.
Ayatollah Kashmiri's funeral prayers was led by Ayatollah Bahjat (may Allah bless his soul) and he is buried in the Holy Shrine of Bibi Fatima Masuma Qom (SA).

Please recite Surah al-Fatiha for his blessed soul.

Imam Muhammad al Baqir (AS) says that:
“Imam Husayn (AS) of Karbala was killed as the one subjected to oppression and severity, thirsty and devoid of any helpers, while Allah, the Mighty, the Sublime, took an oath upon Himself that there is none among the distressed, the ones subjected to severity, the sinful, sorrowful, thirsty and ailing, who come to the head of his grave and ask for desires, while intending proximity to Husayn (AS), except that Allah, the Mighty, the Sublime, will relieve him of his severity, fulfill his desires, forgive his sins, increase his age and multiply his sustenance. ‘Therefore get warned O ye who have eyes.’ (Surah al-Hashr, 59:2)” - Nafasul Mahmoom, Shaykh Abbas al-Qommi



ما که هَمنَوای خواهرِ حسینیم
With the sister of Hussain [Lady Zainab], we unify our voice,

غصّه دارِ جسمِ بی سَرِ حسینیم
on the headless body of Hussain is our grief

از دعای زهرا نوکرِ حسینیم
from the prayer of Zahra, we are the servants of Hussain

چشمِ دل حسینیا، غیرِ حرم نمی بینه
The eyes and hearts of Husaynis, do not see other than the shrine

روسیاه و بدم ولی، همهٔ دلخوشیم اینه
I am shamefaced and sinful but, all my hope is this:

اَمانٌ مِنَ النّار، لِزُوّارِ الحسین...
security from the hell fire, for the pilgrims of Hussain

در رَهِ شهیدان اهل کربلاییم
We are on the path of the martyrs, the people of Karbala

خونجگر زِ داغِ شاهِ سرجداییم
Saddened from the grief of the headless King

روضه خوانِ رأسِ روی نیزه هاییم
I am an eulogist of the head [that lies] on spear

اونی که بود توو قتلگاه، ذکرِ خدا روی لباش
[of] the one who, when being slaughtered, bore the remembrance of God on his lips

همیشه هر کجا داره، عنایتی به زائراش
[and] always, wherever he has, grants favours to his pilgrims

اَمانٌ مِنَ النّار، لِزُوّارِ الحسین...
