[1:35]two lessons two takeaways I just want to highlight those again just

[1:40]so that we you know we take these away from what's being

[1:45]said they're super important in my opinion number one was that brothers

[1:50]and sisters some people think that to be doing the right thing

[1:54]you have to be doing the harder thing always out of all

[1:58]the different things that need to be done see which one is

[2:01]harder you have to do that one I tried to make a

[2:06]point yesterday although in the in that scenario that we covered where

[2:09]Imam Hussain is speaking to his companion and his companion tells him

[2:13]he was saying let's take another route because this route that we

[2:16]want to take from Medina to Mecca puts us out there really

[2:18]we might be in the enemy's crosshairs if we take this route

[2:33]noise as we can I'm gonna take the route which is the

[3:45]the exact opposite not making noise will be responsible this is something

[3:49]you have to understand I'm saying this so that some of us

[3:52]don't get disheartened when others might frown upon us and say that

[3:55]hey what you're doing you're just doing it because you know it's

[4:00]the safer way out no sometimes the safer way up is there

[4:03]is the body fat that's one take away and at the same

[4:08]time sometimes the route that is the harder one is what you

[4:56]the problem with individuals like this is that they have too much

[5:03]attachment too much attachment to you know this worldly life I don't

[5:06]want to sound cliche attachment to this worldly life I said yesterday

[5:09]I really tried to you know take this drive this home this

[5:13]point that if I want to be a little detached or I

[5:17]want to be sure that I'm on the right side when that

[5:21]when the going gets a little tougher when bigger decisions have to

[5:23]be made it takes practice it doesn't happen overnight yes there will

[5:28]be some cases where a person will make the right decision over

[5:32]right overnight although they've had a live led a life of falsehood

[5:36]and a life of sin but lots of times you won't hear

[5:39]the story of the ones who never made it because they led

[5:41]a life of sin and disobedience the point I made yesterday the

[5:45]practical practical takeaway brothers and sisters if I want to make sure

[5:48]that I am detached from dunya in a way that when the

[5:52]time comes to make bigger decisions when I'm stuck at those crossroads

[5:55]in life I should have practiced throughout life those little tests that

[6:02]Allah puts before me of the why Japan Haram I have to

[6:10]have practice there and taught myself how to say no in the

[6:13]face of Haram how to say yes when wah jib comes up

[6:18]so that when the bigger tests come I can easily say yes

[6:22]or no if a person hasn't practiced throughout their life with the

[7:56]little important because he's speaking to a certain and specific group now

[8:07]for anyone and everyone who hears as he's leaving Medina or as

[8:13]he enters Mecca this letter is written to the Benny Hashem though

[16:47]practices certain things but when it comes to other things they don't

[18:53]and the ones who don't join me will not be victorious ever

[18:59]but he didn't word it like that he said those who join

[19:02]me Shahada those who don't join me don't join me no victory

[19:06]what does this mean that means this side has death but it

[19:13]also has victory with it because the opposite is no victory you

[19:16]see the wording he uses death equals victory on this side on

[19:23]this side there is no victory but we can also figure out

[19:25]that but there's life on this side because then the ones who

[19:30]don't join him won't become Shaheed so life equals no victory how

[19:36]does this read with a material this look outlook of life how

[19:45]does this read with a materialist world view you see how Islam

[19:50]just mixes everything up for in a materialist world and worldview life

[19:56]equals victory and that equals lack of victory equals defeat but in

[20:05]among a lot of analysts books and from his lens from a

[20:08]lost perspective not always sometimes victory and life excuse me life is

[20:14]victory sometimes death is victory and sometimes life is defeat and sometimes

[20:19]death is defeat what's the active ingredient then I thought life and

[20:24]death determine victory and defeat what is the active ingredient a laws

[20:28]satisfaction again remember I said this a few days ago when you

[26:44]thing what that defines whether this was a blessing or not for

[26:48]some people they make it big that is not a blessing for

[26:50]them because they use Haram means for example to get their I

[26:55]don't know I made it yeah you made it but you cross

[26:59]10 of a laws red lines and boundaries to get there so

[27:01]this is a failure for you someone loses a loved one they

[27:08]exhibit patience they can they can be upset they can be grievious

[27:11]they can wail and mourn and all of that that's ok but

[27:15]then they won't question everything now right the exhibit patience for them

[27:21]it's a blessing in disguise at the end of the day why
