[0:25]muhammad muhammad foreign the human being brothers and sisters when you compare
[1:25]him to the other creation of allah you find him unique for
[1:35]example the other creation of allah don't have a struggle you don't
[1:41]have for example a son struggling with itself should i rise in
[1:44]the morning or shall i not rise in the morning and you
[1:47]have a part of it says no it's too early for me
[1:51]to rise let me just rest for a little bit more and
[1:54]then i'll wake up and get up or the moon saying no
[1:56]no you know what i'm too tired let me just take a
[1:59]break a little bit i'm working night and day and day and
[2:00]night you know night here i come up then it becomes daytime
[2:06]i don't rest i go to the other side of the globe
[2:07]you know and i i come up on the other so always
[2:11]difficulty you don't have that struggle in there for example and you
[2:16]find for example when you compare it to the animals the human
[2:21]being needs some nourishment needs some caring for needs to be supplied
[2:28]with the tools he or she needs to grow up whereas sometimes
[2:31]if i have animals in many cases they are born with all
[2:36]the tools they need they have the clause for example when they
[2:39]grow they start using them it's not that the mother for example
[2:43]or the father would give them this clause and say here now
[2:46]you should wear this they have the fur for example that covers
[2:49]their bodies it's not that the mother needs to tell them now
[2:53]it's winter you need to wear this fur they have the equipment
[2:56]or the tools necessary allah gave it to them they have these
[3:00]the human being however no he needs to acquire these tools he
[3:06]needs to get them plus he has a continuous struggle inside him
[3:11]there is a continuous struggle so allah the human being is created
[3:30]weak weak this weakness implies one the physical weakness of the human
[3:37]being yes indeed you find this a human being comes to this
[3:43]world doesn't know anything allah says about the human when he comes
[3:47]out from the womb of the mother.
[3:54]that allah brought you from the womb of your mother's not knowing
[4:02]anything and it's true you find a child a baby when he
[4:07]comes out does not know how to speak even speaking he doesn't
[4:10]know how to speak he learns to speak language allah gave him
[4:25]this language he doesn't know it he comes out otherwise you take
[4:27]a human being you put him in the middle of nowhere he
[4:31]won't be able to speak he doesn't know that language the human
[4:33]being doesn't even know how to walk he learns walking through looking
[4:37]at the adults and the family for example he looks at his
[4:41]father his mother his older siblings walking he learns how to walk
[4:43]otherwise he may not even think of how to learn how to
[4:47]walk doesn't know how to do that he is so weak if
[4:51]you leave him by himself or herself one or two days he
[4:52]will die he will not be able to get his food he
[4:56]will not be able to survive he needs the clothing you have
[5:00]to give him the mother or the father have to give him
[5:03]the protection that he requires so very weak indeed the human being
[5:10]is grown initially weak and then slowly he starts to gain his
[5:13]strength slowly he starts to gain his powers but then there is
[5:22]another additional weakness that strikes this human being and that weakness that
[5:28]also is born with the human as well is not just the
[5:33]physical weakness but rather the spiritual weakness spiritually he's weak intellectually he
[5:43]is weak psychologically he's weak and that's why islam puts a great
[5:48]emphasis on the parents when they raise these children to make sure
[5:53]they feed this into the life of the child feed the spirituality
[5:59]in his life you know there is an arabic poet who says
[6:15]he says may allah not ever punish my mother why because she
[6:22]drank the love of ali the love of ali she drank it
[6:29]and she fed it to me with her milk so the milk
[6:33]of the mother does not just give the nutrients and this has
[6:37]been shown that the milk of the mother does not only give
[6:40]nutrients but rather spiritually feeds this child spiritually feeds the child so
[6:47]my mother fed me this love of bait fed it to me
[6:49]and i had a father who used to love him he used
[6:57]to love alibaba so from my father and from my mother i
[6:59]learned to love you find this islam emphasize this spiritual growth teaching
[7:08]the children about the love of the merits of bait making them
[7:13]grow in this love of and to whom the arabs attribute the
[7:27]establishment of arabic grammar they say he is the father of arabic
[7:35]grammar we believe that him he taught him the laws the basics
[7:39]and he told him now write a book about it so one
[7:43]day he arrives in the house and he finds his daughter eating
[7:48]honey he tells his wife where do we get honey from this
[7:50]is a luxury where does it come from who brought us this
[7:54]honey the wife said a man brought it as a gift from
[7:56]sufyan he gave us this honey so he turned to his he
[8:03]turned to his daughter who was eating from this honey and she
[8:06]was three years old according to some traditions three-year-old he told her
[8:12]listen do you know that this honey came from a man who
[8:17]hates ali who is the enemy of ali of she said really
[8:24]he said yes so she put her fingers into her mouth and
[8:28]she threw out this honey that she ate she said such honey
[8:32]we don't want and then this three-year-old started reciting verses of poetry
[8:37]where she started saying abhishek do you think that honey that you
[8:48]have made nice with saffron you put some saffron in this honey
[8:53]you think with this honey we can you can buy our religion
[8:55]from us you can buy the love of alibn from us she
[9:00]says never allah never our masters this is indeed something that how
[9:09]did she learn at this three years old how does she have
[9:13]this love of minis it's taught to her by the father by
[9:18]by the parents so teaching them spiritually teaching them psychologically emotionally making
[9:23]the child stronger you find some children who have great confidence in
[9:29]themselves even though if you take a look at them you find
[9:33]them maybe they are not the best in the school they're not
[9:34]the best students in the school yet they might be the ones
[9:36]who succeed in their lives and you have a child who's good
[9:41]in the school but he may not become successful in life part
[9:44]of the reasons is that the parents keep telling this other child
[9:48]the one who is not very smart let's say not very good
[9:51]in school you are good you will be successful you can succeed
[9:54]and so he grows up in this psychological environment emotionally he feels
[10:00]that he is good he can't succeed i know he does he
[10:05]does on the opposite you have a child who is successful smart
[10:08]but the parents might destroy him shatter him or don't nourish him
[10:12]so he won't succeed as much same thing intellectual advancements you find
[10:18]this human being born without any intellectual concepts yet slowly he starts
[10:23]to grow and nourish such that you find him building skyrockets and
[10:27]for example you find him building these high rises where he lives
[10:33]in 120 story buildings even though the human being himself cannot exceed
[10:37]maybe two and a half meters in length in height yet he
[10:43]builds these tall high rises how did he come up with all
[10:46]this you know it's all a development that he went through yet
[10:48]this human being brothers and sisters has some internal struggles internal struggles
[10:56]internal issues that he has such issues do not exist in the
[11:04]universe universe as i mentioned allah subhanahu wa ta'ala who created everything
[11:07]like musa alaihissalam when he tells firaoun my lord is the one
[11:12]who created everything he gave it guidance everything is guided by allah
[11:20]the human being allah showed him the guidance the path of guidance
[11:24]but he chooses he gave him the free will to choose so
[11:29]he has this internal struggle so the struggle that we see it
[11:32]is not in the world the struggles that we see the issues
[11:36]we see in the world it is not a struggle as some
[11:38]people perceive between allah paramount almighty in other words nothing can stand
[11:59]in his will over or in in the face of his commands
[12:03]nothing so what is iblis he is powerless helpless the struggles we
[12:08]see in the world are the human beings the problems of the
[12:11]human being the struggles of the human being as the hadith says
[12:17]every human being the heart of every human has two ears you
[12:20]know sometimes they draw on cartoons you know they draw for example
[12:25]an angel on one side and the devil on the other side
[12:26]trying to whisper to the man you know the angel says don't
[12:30]do this and the devil says no do it for example or
[12:34]vice versa so the angel tells him be good the devil the
[12:38]hadith implies something similar where every heart of every human has two
[12:42]ears one is basically where the angels are telling or the human
[12:50]conscious is speaking into him and the other one is the human's
[12:53]desires his desires his anger is trying to speak into it and
[12:56]that is the internal conflict that is internal struggle this internal struggle
[13:03]then is reflected on the outside in the world so you have
[13:08]people fighting wars destroying lands causing corruption and others know they're trying
[13:17]to make peace trying to make justice and so that's when the
[13:24]clashes occur that's when that clashes you have people of haqq and
[13:28]people of battle people on the truth and people on falsehood this
[13:32]is all stemming from the internal struggles of the human being now
[13:38]a person might say well why bother with the struggles just leave
[13:45]us leave us let us sit alone i don't want to bother
[13:48]like for example that companion of the prophet in the battle of
[13:57]safin used to go and pray behind me and at the time
[14:02]of food he goes to eat with muawiyam and when they fight
[14:07]he goes on a nearby hill sits on the hill on the
[14:12]mountain and observes he doesn't participate so he was asked why do
[14:16]you do this i mean which side are you on he said
[14:19]neighbor no nobody's side praying behind ali of nabi talib is better
[14:23]for my religion but eating with more away is better for my
[14:28]stomach and when they fight let them fight i don't care this
[14:30]is none of my business you know they have problems let them
[14:32]sort it out themselves you know this of course is a false
[14:35]ideology that ideology is false whenever we are faced with haqq or
[14:41]battle one has to take a stand one has to take a
[14:45]stand with hat against the stand with battle again the stat of
[14:48]battle against battle allah says allah some people to stand in the
[15:07]face of others then you would find monasteries places of worship temples
[15:13]you would find synagogues churches and mosques where the names of allah
[15:21]the names of allah is mentioned in them constantly they would be
[15:25]destroyed they would be destroyed and interestingly here allah mentions all places
[15:30]of worship all places of worship and we find this truly in
[15:34]the message of salam and the path of al-bait you find they
[15:38]defended places of worship irrespective of what they worship never do we
[15:43]have rasulullah destroying for example ordering the destruction of places of worship
[15:48]you know so the same thing islam respects them you have your
[15:57]religion we have our religion allah you don't want to accept it
[15:59]no problem so these struggles exist within the human being now a
[16:05]question might arise as well so when we are faced with a
[16:07]difficulty we have to take a stand we have to go with
[16:11]the haqq we can't just keep quiet otherwise there will be problems
[16:14]in the world the question that some people arise is so why
[16:19]did allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala create the human being weak why couldn't allah
[16:23]subhanahu wa'ta'ala give him the ability to make all the right decisions
[16:29]do all the right things in response to this we say then
[16:32]what is the difference between him and the animals if that is
[16:35]the case the human being becomes just like the animals in that
[16:38]case animals also allah gave them a path to live you find
[16:43]for example the bees of honey those who make honey the bees
[16:45]they live this path for the past i don't know thousands of
[16:49]years since allah created them until the day of judgment they will
[16:53]never develop themselves they will never for example go and seek to
[16:56]become better to improve their lives to improve the production of honey
[17:02]why because that's why allah created them they don't have this ability
[17:05]that makes them strive to become better so allah gave us the
[17:11]desire allah gave us the anger and allah gave us the mind
[17:16]so we can utilize it to become better to improve our lives
[17:20]if otherwise we would become just like the animals the cattle whatever
[17:26]allah created and then the next question is okay so if that
[17:30]is the case why allah creates all this corruption first of all
[17:37]allah did not create the corruption in the in the land allah
[17:40]created the human being and gave him that ability the ability to
[17:47]make corruption gave it to him but also guided him told him
[17:49]this is right and this is wrong now i will leave you
[17:53]it's up to you to decide what you want to do with
[17:56]it the reason allah did this so that the human can strive
[18:01]the human can move forward the human can excel can exceed can
[18:05]get up can realize there is a conflict and this conflict is
[18:11]what drives him what pushes him to improve in fact interestingly some
[18:15]scholars and thinkers says what really drives history history what does dry
[18:19]what what makes history what drives history and the response is the
[18:24]struggles the struggles some thinkers say that it is the struggles of
[18:27]the human being that drives history you have some people who always
[18:32]look for corruption and to achieve their corruption they spread whatever means
[18:38]that they could use they keep people in darknesses they keep people
[18:44]in lies they make people uneducated on the face of those people
[18:49]you have individuals who want to cause no peace who want to
[18:53]cause education who want to resolve people and elevate their status you
[18:58]have ahabil and you have an ibrahim alaihi and you also have
[19:08]namrud rulers that they lived through you find them they wanted those
[19:30]enemies of allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala wanted to destroy the religion wanted to
[19:34]spread their own agendas but you have people standing in their faces
[19:38]and calling that by god we will not give you our hands
[19:41]like slaves or like people who have humility and do not have
[19:48]dignity nor are we going to run away like slaves so this
[19:52]is in the path of bait this is the path of having
[19:58]said this the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam says in a hadith that
[20:07]this world needs four things to be established in a peaceful way
[20:13]what are they for one alimony alma and an ignorant person who
[20:40]does not feel too arrogant to go and seek knowledge some people
[20:47]unfortunately have that elegance although he doesn't know anything but he says
[20:52]no i am a scholar and we'll come to that insha allah
[21:00]and a rich wealthy person who gives who's generous he gives a
[21:06]rich person who gives and for eve and a poor person who
[21:16]does not sell his own for the dunya of another person for
[21:22]another person that is the problem he says the prophet salallahu continues
[21:27]he says if the scholar the educated one keeps his knowledge to
[21:36]himself doesn't teach it to others and was a helgha hello buddha
[21:43]and the ignorant does not go to seek the knowledge that he
[21:49]needs to learn about abu hanif had discussions with imam assad until
[22:00]finally he confessed and he said that you are right i will
[22:09]stop teaching what i'm teaching imam alaihi islam responded back to him
[22:12]he said he says no the love of authority is not going
[22:24]to leave you alone you like this authority it's not going to
[22:27]leave you so you have an individual who claims to be a
[22:30]alim yet to appoint a discussion with imam al-salam he confesses i
[22:36]don't know anything i don't know much i don't know much but
[22:39]this is causing problems now in the world if the island stops
[22:46]teaching and if an ignorant person continues on his ignorance without seeking
[22:52]the right guidance that's why imam al-jawad al-islam says he says if
[22:59]the ignorant one keeps quiet no problems in this world exist problem
[23:03]is when a person who thinks that he has some some knowledge
[23:09]and starts spreading his knowledge to the people what else and if
[23:19]the poor or the rich person becomes stingy with his wealth by
[23:24]giving he becomes tinji and he says out of the poor person
[23:39]sells his another person's religion then you will find halal corruption difficulties
[23:45]will come and punishment punishment continuously writing to him come come to
[24:05]my side come join me and he would offer him he would
[24:12]tell him i'll give you this i'll give you this i'll give
[24:14]you that finally he gave him to the governorship of egypt which
[24:20]was a big thing by the time in fact until this day
[24:25]the leadership of egypt is a big thing you know apparently but
[24:28]back on those days also it was a big thing so he
[24:33]accepted he accepted finally and shifted sides he shifted one day muawiyah
[24:39]was talking with him he says your price was very high your
[24:46]price was really high kalawa he said but i'm still at a
[24:56]loss you say my price is high it's still too little it's
[24:57]too cheap i'm the one who's losing i'm the one who's losing
[25:02]he said how come you've been given the governorship of egypt what
[25:07]else do you want he said i sold my ah dunya i'm
[25:16]the person knows exactly what he's doing but he chooses he chose
[25:23]allah i'm selling my ah dunya not even his own dunya the
[25:32]dunya he sells it he gives it to him and so he
[25:37]tells him one day when muawiyah took him away from the governorship
[25:44]of egypt he wrote he writes a whole poem to muawiyab sufyan
[25:45]and he tells him you have no right in taking me away
[25:50]from this this post this position because this is not your right
[25:53]anyways to assign or to to not assign this is not you
[25:58]you and i fought against and you and i know very well
[26:05]that we are on the wrong side and you and i know
[26:06]very well on the day of judgment ali will be with haqq
[26:11]with the truth in jannah and you and i will be in
[26:14]the opposite side and then he tells him and how can you
[26:21]compare the dust to the stars and how can you compare away
[26:24]to ali you know subhanallah this is but that is the struggles
[26:29]within the human being so these struggles are there they exist but
[26:33]the human being has that potential has that ability to excel psychologically
[26:39]spiritually intellectually he has all these potentials if he can of course
[26:46]face these challenges a person cannot just say you know what the
[26:50]struggles are too much i cannot handle them and therefore he becomes
[26:56]like us for example and goes with that flow no this is
[26:59]not a person needs some factors some need some factors important factors
[27:04]one he needs hope a human being must have the hope these
[27:11]are some of the internal factors he need without hope he won't
[27:16]be achieving much there has to be this hope this optimism the
[27:24]optimism you know like winston churchill says he says an optimistic person
[27:35]finds an opportunity in every calamity and a pessimistic person finds a
[27:42]calamity in every opportunity so one a problem arises an optimistic person
[27:52]sees an opportunity in this problem says let me seize it whereas
[27:55]a pessimistic person no every opportunity that comes he sees it as
[28:02]a problem as a calamity you know the cliche that says the
[28:05]glass is half full and some people see it half empty oh
[28:09]you make a dot in a page a white page and you
[28:12]tell a person what do you see the natural response of many
[28:18]human beings say i see a black dot so what about all
[28:20]this white that's around the page a person just goes immediately to
[28:25]the black dots you know this is done even in psychology classes
[28:27]they do this if you go to a psychology very early psychology
[28:32]classes one of the beginning lessons they teach in the first classes
[28:34]is they the teacher would put up this black dot on a
[28:38]page on a white way it says and as the students what
[28:41]do you see you find the students many of them say we
[28:43]see a black dot he says what about the rest of the
[28:47]white around that black dot don't you see that they say yeah
[28:49]we see it but it's the black dot that catches the attention
[28:51]so the human needs this opportunity the optimism needs to have that
[29:02]optimism second he needs to have the confidence the confidence in himself
[29:06]and the confidence that he can change the state of the affairs
[29:09]the situation he must have that confidence within himself that you know
[29:14]what the problems that are on my head here that i'm faced
[29:18]with these are not forces that are you know holding me down
[29:21]and are tying me down and i can't let them go no
[29:24]these are issues that i need to face them and go fight
[29:30]them sometimes you have people who sit down and say my god
[29:32]i don't know where to start from there are so many problems
[29:36]i have so many issues i don't even know where to begin
[29:39]you need to sit down relax a little bit have a cup
[29:44]of chai you know and think clear your head and start thinking
[29:50]just by sitting down and saying what am i gonna do how
[29:54]am i going to solve this problem this will not solve this
[29:56]problem getting angry will not solve this problem getting upset and stressed
[30:02]is not going to solve the problem one needs to sit down
[30:06]and relax and think how can i resolve this issue knowing the
[30:14]confidence inside i can resolve it they say to every disease there
[30:21]is a medicine there is a cure you know but we may
[30:23]not have discovered it yet but there exists one third we need
[30:29]to have that rely on allah subhanahu wa ta'ala rely on allah
[30:32]you need to have the faith in allah that rely on allah
[30:37]you try this these are internal issues we also need practical points
[30:43]what are the practical points one patience patients need to have their
[30:55]patients patience is extremely important like amygdala says a faith without patience
[31:04]is like a body without a head you need to have the
[31:11]patience and second is the perseverance perseverance perseverance those two points as
[31:18]well practical points so we have three internal issues and we have
[31:25]two practical issues what we need to put into perspective the prophet
[31:29]sallam tells us be aware of two qualities don't have them what
[31:36]are they available he says giving up and being lazy those two
[31:49]problems giving up and laziness it says don't have these attributes these
[31:54]qualities you find some of the muslims today they are sloths masha'allah
[31:59]they sleep on khalas that's it masha'allah that's it all they do
[32:05]you have a koala for example the koala is an animal that
[32:09]sleeps 18 hours a day masha'allah you know 18 hours a day
[32:14]it sleeps and gets up and eats this eucalyptus you know leaves
[32:19]and then goes back to sleep as well that's why when you
[32:23]see a koala in the zoo it's so boring you know yes
[32:26]the animal is very cute but when you see him it's just
[32:29]sleeping that's it you know it doesn't do anything so when the
[32:31]koala wakes up you find them making an announcement in the zoo
[32:33]the koala actually woke up you know go go see the koalas
[32:37]now they woke up they make announcements you have sometimes really the
[32:42]some people are like this as well masha allah just sleeping 18
[32:47]hours a day you know and if they can in ramadan they
[32:51]will do that as well masha'allah 18 hours a day you know
[32:52]they would love it mashallah yeah it is truly you know a
[32:56]problem so he says the prophet continues giving up and perseverance and
[33:04]and laziness he says if you become if you give up you
[33:20]would not be able to be patient on the hak on the
[33:24]truth you give up i can't do this anymore so let me
[33:28]join away aside that's it and if you are lazy then you
[33:34]will not be able to deliver the truth to its people you
[33:36]will not be able to give it off muhammad ibn abi omayr
[33:41]was in the prison of haruna rasheed this man was a alim
[33:44]and he was a wealthy man he was very wealthy he was
[33:47]rich he was a businessman they arrested him they put him in
[33:51]the prison of sandeep in shahid the same prison where the imam
[33:54]salam allah al-imam was put not at the same time but different
[34:01]times he was put in the same prison the same prisoner as
[34:06]individual sometimes himself used to attend the punishment and the persecution of
[34:14]muhammad he personally used to come back himself used to come to
[34:17]see him why what did they want from him one thing they
[34:21]wanted the names of the shia tell us who are your followers
[34:27]who are the followers of imam al-qaeda the followers of give us
[34:33]the names that's all we know they would take a stick made
[34:36]of wood they would put nails into the stick and they would
[34:41]beat him with it at one point muhammad himself he says i
[34:51]was about to confess from all these beatings i weakened it was
[34:59]not easy they used to beat him he says but then i
[35:03]hear the voice of the cell next to me a voice came
[35:07]from the cell next to him there was a man by the
[35:13]name of muhammad eben yunus ibn abdul rahman when i weakened i
[35:21]was about to confess i heard him saying from the cell next
[35:28]door yep what are you going to say he says this gave
[35:46]me the strength one word one sentence so brothers and sisters sometimes
[35:54]all you need is one sentence of encouragement to the people give
[35:59]them the support give them the encouragement that what makes leaders that's
[36:07]what helps people to change one sentence he says that gave me
[36:13]the strength to face all this oppression and aggression and persecution until
[36:17]finally he was let go after years of imprisonment he came back
[36:24]and he lost all his wealth and he lost his eyesight as
[36:30]well from all this persecution became blind a person who narrates the
[36:37]story he says him not expressing the names of the people cost
[36:42]him one hundred thousand degrees one hundred thousand silver coins because he
[36:47]did not mention any names the prize was one hundred thousand derham
[36:51]he kept quiet he had a struggle as well in the inside
[36:55]he had a struggle it was not easy but he came out
[37:02]victorious he came out winning he did not side with the battle
[37:06]and that's what albeit one of our brothers and sisters they want
[37:12]us to follow the truth these struggles we will have internally all
[37:17]the time we will be faced with these issues and problems we
[37:21]have to stand up for haqq and face them we need to
[37:27]have the optimism we need to have the confidence and the faith
[37:30]that we can make a difference we need to rely on allah
[37:35]we need to be determined and we need to be patient you
[37:43]do this and slowly you'll allah will illuminate the path of hak
[37:48]for the individual like muhammad bin abr at the time when he
[37:55]weakened allah sent him the voice of muhammad ibn yunus to help
[38:00]him to give him the boost and the power and to remain
[38:04]steadfast and you find the followers of imam hussain salaam allah as
[38:09]companions on that on that path not giving up despite the difficulties
[38:16]they had to face despite the problems they had to face the
[38:20]persecution they had to face they stayed on the hak until they
[38:25]all were killed one after the other imam hussain salam allah stood
[38:31]there on the plains of karbala and calling them why am i
[38:42]calling you and you don't respond to your master but how can
[38:47]you respond when your heads have been separated from your body he
[38:55]stood there and then he started calling for help imam and all
[39:05]of the sudden he finds a boy whose face is so bright
[39:12]and shiny a man who used to resemble rasulullah he looks at
[39:19]him this is his son coming to his father and says father
[39:24]give me the permission to fight before you and what a difficult
[39:28]thing for a father to tell his son yes go and fight
[39:34]go and get killed so imam hussain raised his hands he said
[39:40]oh allah bear witness on those people they invited us to support
[39:49]us and they they went against us and started killing us so
[39:53]ali akbar went out fighting in the battlefield we are defending the
[40:08]prophet's family and he fights bravely imam hussain alaihissalam rides on his
[40:12]horse he waits for that moment until the cry is made of
[40:53]what a difficult moment historians say he threw himself from his horse
[40:59]to the body of his son crying allah they came and they
[41:34]carried him to the tent and that's when his mother came by
[41:40]and started crying oh foreign is a
